Got tired of all the scratches on my non-stick fry pans. Ordered the 8, 10 and 12 and have been very pleased so far. Evenly cooking, excellent non-stick properties and solidly made. Don't know how they wear yet but so far it looks like they'll last a long time.

This pan is most definitely the best I've used lately. The handle gets pretty hot, though. Otherwise I love it.

Excelsteel 3-Piece Professional Carbon Steel Frypan Set with Ceramic Non-Stick Coating

Excelsteel 3-Piece Professional Carbon Steel Frypan Set with Ceramic Non-Stick CoatingThe pans looked fine and the surface feels nice and smooth, but you can not cook anything in these non-stick without sticking. I ended up using more oil to keep from sticking which defeated the purpose of using non-stick. The handles are cheap made from stamped steel. The first time I used the thin metal the inside bottom burnt.I would not buy.

Got this set of pans today. Started to cook and then saw a crack on the handle and they look cheap in general. Although saved some money but probably will have to return it and buy a better and more expensive set.

These steel pans have a ceramic coating that behaves as good as Teflon without the toxic drawbacks of that notorious plastic.

I have had them for a few weeks now and, so far, I can not tell the difference.

I also like the idea that they are made of steel and not aluminum. The weight is light and they are easy to clean.

Returned this product after opening in it.The ceramic coating on the largest pan was peeling at the edge.Don't know if it was damaged in shipping or a manufacturing flaw.

I was disappointed in this purchase. The biggest problem is that the bottoms are not completely flat, making them a poor choice for a glass-top range. The quality of the "no stick" isn't very good. The very first thing my husband made was a cheese sandwich. The cheese melted, burned, and stuck. It took a lot of elbow grease to clean it, and a stain remained for quite a while.

Chef's Design 20-Inch Double Burner Reversible Grill/Griddle

Chef's Design 20-Inch Double Burner Reversible Grill/GriddleI got this griddle for my wife for xmas she absolutely loves it.She has cooked chicken, pancakes, etc on it and no problems. She raves on how easy it is to clean and how good it is.I looked high and low for griddles and this one is it look no further for the perfect griddle.

Update 3+ Year of usage and still loving this.It remains super easy to use and clean up.It does a great job with pancakes, grilling during the winter and anything else we have tried to cook on it.I highly recommend this!

I used this more before I bought the Cuisinart Griddler (the Griddler's plates are diswasher safe, my two favorite words.)I think the key is to adjust the temperature.Start on medium but as the food cooks, lower the temperature to keep juices from burning.I do not suggest it for marinades that contain a lot of sugar because the non-stick coating is delicate. If you do burn something, immediately after cooking, turn off the heat, leave the grill in place and pour water on it.Use a nylon scrub brush to loosen as much food as you can as the water steams.Dawn Power Dissolve works if things burn on it, but do not leave it on for a long time because it will damage the coating.

A bonus is that it really does thaw foods fast too.

Great product if you treat it well.

Very convenient and affordable but its antistick coating is very gentle. Also, I wish they would make them with higher sides like those on grill pans. When I was using grill pan my stove top was much easier to clean, now I am trying to cover my stove with foil sheets to make my cleaning easier...

I use this grill in my apartment, where I have a small (UGLY) range.I have it permanently covering the left side of my range, which works great for me.

It's SO easy to clean. The nonstick coating is just as good, if not better than other commercial grill pans.It sets on top of my range like it was built to be there.Even when it is not in use it looks decorative.

As for actually cooking with the grill, it is simple!A few squirts of cooking spray, set both burners to medium-high... you have a great, consistent grill pan.No excess smoke or grit.... it's amazing.

Have had the griddle approximately 2 weeks and have already used it to grill steaks, sausage and eggs, tenderloins, and hamburgers. Everything has come out great on it! Be sure and read the directions never heat over medium I use a little under medium and everything cooks evenly and quickly with no burning or damaging of the underside of the griddle.Have used the "defrost" function and it really works!Highly recommend this item.

Bene Casa Aluminum Non-Stick 8" Fry Pan

Bene Casa Aluminum Non-Stick 8' Fry PanThis is a good little skillet for scrambled eggs or omelettes. Also good for sauteeing vegies. The coating seems to bepretty durable and does'nt stick. The handle stays cool. Clean-up is a breeze. The outside finish is not as durable, seems to be peeling off a little with every wash. However, I still like this pan.

Honestly,I haven't used it but I bought for my college daughter.I haven't had any complaints. It arrived unblemished and on time and the price was right.

Lodge LFSR3 Sizzlin' Hot Case Iron Fajita Set

Lodge LFSR3 Sizzlin' Hot Case Iron Fajita SetIf you've ever had fajitas in a Mexican restaurant, you know one of the best parts is the sizzling plate on which the meal is brought. At home, it's not practical in most cases to bring your entire skillet out to the table, and even if you can do that it's more fun to have individual sizzling plates to serve yourself from. That's exactly what this is.Buy one per person or per two people, stick them in the oven while you make your fajitas on a larger skillet and transfer the food to this heated mini-skillet.Ba da bing! Instant sizzle that'll last right to the table and bring smiles to your family and guests.

Obviously, this is only a practical gift if fajitas are a staple item in your home.If they're not, you might consider it, particularly if you've got a family.Fajitas are incredibly healthy (just sliced proteins like chicken breast, flank steak, shrimp, whatever, with onions and peppers and whatever other veggies you want), quite cheap, fast to make and of course tons of fun when you bring those sizzling platters out to your family.Persons concerned about glutens or grains can wrap the fajitas in any strong large-leafed green. And of course you can adjust how healthy or not by adding or subtracting sour cream, cheese, guac, etc. as accompaniments.

The fajita "set" is only one skillet, along with a cute mini oven mitt customized for the skillet and a wooden undercarriage so you don't ruin your table. The skillet is a Lodge, well made and easy to keep seasoned. The little mitt is kind of cute and a nice touch.

I will say that the finish on the wood underpinnings is pretty cheap -it's starting to fade after just a few uses. That and the relatively high price (You can buy a 10" or 12" Lodge skillet for less.Which you should.) hold back the rating here to four stars.Five stars, IMO, are for a must-have item and these are by any definition a fun extravagance.

Highly recommend it to everyone.

I can't really say anything bad about this item as I was shipped the WRONG pan! The one I have doe not have any handles so it's kinda hard cooking on a small Japanese stove. But, oh well. Seems to be a good product. Just make sure you get what you ordered.

Cuisinart Professional Tri-Ply Stainless Steel Cookware (12 Piece Set)

Cuisinart Professional Tri-Ply Stainless Steel CookwareBought this very same set from Costco a few months ago. They sold out quickly and no longer sell it.I felt I had hit the jackpot because it was something like $179!It was an impulse buy since I had been looking at higher end cookware ($500 or more) and had decided it wasn't in the budget at that time.Did a few quick searches on my smartphone before buying.Reviews on a similar Cuisinart multiclad set were stellar. One of the reviews said this set was only slightly different than the other.I could tell from the demo pieces in the store that it was very good quality. They are solid and look to be very well made -with the possible exception of the basket part of the steamer insert...it is a bit thinner than others I have seen, but seems that it will hold up well if you don't do something impulsive like sit or stand on it.

And it IS very good quality for the price.Even with the power gas burner, I find that it can take a while to bring a boil compared to the regular pots we had before.Cuisinart instructs you not to use these pieces on high heat because the superior heat conduction will cause food to be prone to burn easily and therefore may be hard to clean.I have not had that issue at all.We find ourselves using high heat to achieve a boil or browning, and then turning down the heat to low or medium and using the lid and that works quite well.

Cleans up easily. I used the steamer insert on the stockpot to corral all of the debris used to make chicken stock, and it served the purpose very well.Nothing stuck or burned at the bottom of the pot despite cooking the stock for 2 days (boiling/simmering at various times). I initially overfilled the pot so there were spillovers between the pot and steamer insert early on that I didn't bother to clean until the stock was finished today (with the insert I was able to make 4 quarts -and could have made 5 or 6 without the insert). The residue was was baked-on and dark brown so I expected it to be hard to clean.Just wiped right off with a nylon abrasive sponge.

We fried some sausage links in the covered 4 QT saute pan.The residue was a bit baked on but that washed right off with a sponge in hot soapy water.

I like the glass lids. They are attractive, and being able to look in without opening the lid is nice, though with any condensation you will have to lift the lid anyway to really see what's going on.Other reviewers have noted you have to be extra careful with glass lids because they can shatter if dropped, so I try to be sure to put them only in safe places on the counter.

I'm a big fan of tri-ply now and will never buy anything else. We've had multiclad bottoms only and they don't compare to fully tri-ply.I can't give a long-term report on this cookware, but so far we have really liked it.I have never had All-Clad or anything else high-end so I really can't compare. One of the reviews I had seen on Amazon before purchasing this set said that it is in the same league in terms of how it cooks.

A few notes from the box:

* all-range capable (if I remember correctly from the brochure it is oven-safe but not sure about the lids)

* stay-cool handles...

* dishwasher safe (we hand-wash to preserve the finish)

* tapered rims for drip-free pouring

An aside:you can occasionally find single pieces of Calphalon tri-ply on deep discount at Macy's -less than half price if you avail yourself of the discounts and coupons. That's one way to add to your tri-ply collection.Calphalon appears to be a notch higher than this set -though I would wager it cooks the same. The workmanship/styling on Calphalon just looks better.I'm on the hunt for tri-ply pieces at an affordable price now! Mix 'n match is fine with me as long as the quality and price are there!

Hope this helps.Get a set if you can!Even at $200-300, knowing what I know now, I would definitely purchase this set even at those prices, because I have never seen a tri-ply set even close to being in that price range. If you do, snap it up!

Very sturdy pots and pans. No issues with them at all. For sure would recommend to others if asked about.

i am very upset with this product cause none specified that item comes without a cover. Who would need irregular shape pan without proper cover especially when frying. The pan itself is great, very light comparing to those on the market. But for me, what is the point of it if there is no proper cover. It is like having a dinner on a plate but without a fork.

Cuisinart Chef's Classic Stainless Open Skillet

Cuisinart 722-36H Chef's Classic Stainless 14-Inch Open Skillet with Helper HandleThis pan, like all the Cuisinart pans, is my favorite to use when I need a 12" skillet. It's a heavy-duty even-heating pan like it's "sisters and brothers"!If you already have any Chef's Classic pots or pans, the lid that fits on any pan with item number ending in 30 will fit on this pan.(Item number is on the bottom). With all the Chef's Classic pans, you usually don't have to turn the heat up as high as a cheapy pan; instead of high, use medium-high, for example.Since this does not have a non-stick coating, you'll often need oil for cooking. Here's a tip: hot pan, cold oil.Let the pan heat up before adding the oil. Also, these pans heat up FAST so watch your food!If anything gets burned-on badly, the pans just need a little soaking (maybe an hour, not overnight).Or, add water to the pan and "boil" the burned-on food off.I also use Barkeepers Friend cleaner to keep them shiny and looking new!Take note: if you've ever purchased a set of Cuisinart from a discount warehouse (i.e. Sam's Club, Cosco) there are not individual pans available that will match your set exactly.I called Cuisinart and found out that particular pan style is available only in sets from discount warehouses.BUT, the Chef's Classic line matches very closely, it's the closest match available.

Even though this pan has the "disc" of aluminum in the base rather than all the way up the sides, it heats very evenly. You can't beat the price. It's big enough to be very versatile for major frying or lighter sautéing. It's also big enough to use a grill for small to medium items.

I do miss having a lid so on those rare occasions where I needed a lid, I just covered it with some aluminum foil. Hokey, I know, but until I purchased another pan for my dishes that need simmering, that was the trick I used.

As long as you watch the heat, cleanup is not too bad. I have rarely had to scrub this pan.

Since it would be great with a lid, I gave it 4 stars. This pan really should not be sold without one.

This is a great skillet for lots of dishes from ommelet, to stir fry, to steak. I do own a couple non-stick skillets for making crepes and scrambled eggs, but this is the one I use the most. This skillet WILL NOT stick if pre-heated with low or med heat for most dishes. If I'm sauteing chicken or cooking steaks, I'd pre heat it with high heat before adding butter, then add the room temperatured meat (not frozen), then lower the heat to med-high and I'm all set for a good piece of steak. Deglazing the pan create thick, delicious sauces, something that can't be achieved with a non-stick pan. My fried eggs come out fried, and not steamed like it would with a non-stick pan. The discoloration (called heat marks) on some S/S cookware can be easily cleaned with S/S cleanser.

Like most of this line, the 12" version of this pan is an excellent pan and value, and seldom leaves my range top. The 14" however is a disappointment because its material/construction is not nearly as heavy-duty. Notably, unlike the 12" pan the 14" is NOT stamped "18/10". Another telltale is that the 14" weighs only 4 oz. more than the 12". Result: relatively lower thermal mass, less even heat distribution and retention, more hot spots and burning. In fairness, the larger diameter will put the much thinner sides farther away from most ranges flame, but I wish they'd made the base at least as heavy dutyas the 12". Caveat emptor!

I bought this pan on a special sale and it gets used almost every day.Without a non-stick surface, spray a little Pam and it cleans up very easily.Let it soak for 5 minutes and use a non-steel scrubbing pad (one side sponge, one side a mild abrasive).Steel wool will scratch the surface.

Cooks evenly on medium or low heat. Can also go into the oven.

Without the non-stick surface, stainless steel pans and pots last virtually forever and always look and feel great.

Calphalon One Infused Anodized 3-Quart Sauté Pan with Lid

Calphalon One Infused Anodized 3-Quart Sauté Pan with LidI must have gotten my first Calphalon anodized aluminum cookware (Commercial Aluminum Cookware Company, Toledo, OH) from the commercial restaurant suppliers on the Bowery in NYC 30 years ago. This is the best professional pan for searing meat or vegetables quickly and without getting the product soggy or overcooked. I translate all the old-fashion oven recipes (Greek, Czech, German, etc etc) into a Japanese style quick sear for the meat, then removing the meat, slowly cooking the more fragile ingredients and sauce making, replacing meat later for controlled simmering.

Fast searing, slow simmering--no better pan in the world for convenient one-pot cooking--asian style, sort of. Calphalon anodized aluminum is almost intelligent--the best cookware material. And I have used them all, full copper, stainless-clad copper and aluminum, and iron. My old 3-quart saute pan is so precious to me, I'm buying a new one, just to have in my kitchen.

I've had this same kind of pan for years and used it every day sometimes more than once a day and loved it.It cooked beautifully and never, ever stuck. But it finally just wore out.I checked the number on the bottom of the pan and ordered a new one with the exact same number. It's terrible! The new one doesn't even cook bacon without sticking. This is NOT the same pan as Calphalon made before.

This is a top notch sauté pan.My wife and I cook a lot and this pan delivers consistent, reliable results. Here are some details:

Pros:

* Hard infused anodized coating will not flake off like Teflon.

* Very easy to clean with soapy water.Note not dishwasher safe

* Very good thermal conductivity produces professional results compared to other pans we have owned / used.

* Non stick as you'd expect makes cooking a breeze.

Cons:

* Few pans cook well with an electric cooktop. This pan is an exception as it does cook well using an electric flat-top surface. We have found however that over time, the pan bottom will slightly convex itself due to the extreme heat. Not a huge deal but I prefer the pan bottom to always lie flat.

* Over time, our pan tended to scorch. We have not seen this with other Calphalon products using similar nonstick technology.

* Cleaning with a scour pad worked well but led to pitting on the surface.

In general, I give this pan 3 stars because it does a marvelous job cooking but simply does not hold up to strenuous every day cooking.I'd expect better performance with a gas cooktop.

I hate this pan. I paid $199 for it and everything sticks to it no matter how I treat it and always has. I have written to Calphalon and apparently have no recourse.I have put up with it for more than a year and since Calphalon will do nothing to assist me with the sticking problem I am throwing the pan away. It is not worth the price nor the stress created by using it.I have a generic anodized set of pans that I have had for many years and LOVE them. I was adding this pan to that set. Silly me to think that BRAND NAME Calphalon would be even better.. Not so... It is going in the trash and out of my life and my kitchen

UPDATE:

I noticed that the price on this pan has risen substantially. I gave this a 5 star review based on the price I purchased it at (below $70). As good as it is, I would not pay over $140. A quality stainless steel pan works just as effectively as this, and can be had for much cheaper.

After trying many of the cheap saute pan options, I forked up for this one and have not been disappointed. Responding to the one negative comment: no it's not perfectly flat on the bottom but I have a glass cooktop, and no pan that I've used is perfectly flat. A slight unevenness may be noticeable, but it doesn't affect cooking for me. Because this pan is nice and heavy (not cast-iron heavy though), it distributes heat evenly. And if it works on a flat glass cooktop, it will work anywhere. Food browns nicely, and the surface deglazes very well. I use this pan at least 5 days a week, and take care of it according to the directions (soap + scouring pad only) and it hasn't worn too bad at all, and I expect many more years out of it. My only concern is that I want to use it for everything and I might wear it out faster than I expect!

Stansport Gourmet Castware Fry Pans

Stansport Gourmet Castware 10 1/2 Inch Fry Pan, RedIt is easy to clean and cooks evenly and quickly. It is a heavy and very attractive pan. I would diffently recommend this product.

the size is larger than one can imagine, heavy solid, takes two hands and arms to lift it so this is not for the weak. It arrived with the box slightly opened, but th einner box from the factory was intact. Th lid had a few chips won't affect usage but looks defective from the start. I have a induction cermatic top stove and I have not tried to use it as of yet will have to season this first and give it a go. Kinda concerned because the bottom is not completely flat and has a ridge on bottom edge of pan, will this affect heating and cooking? I won't know until I use it on the stove. Anyways it should be an excellent camp pan if the stove top fails. I love the red speckling on the exterior.
