Cuisinart GG30-20 GreenGourmet Hard-Anodized Nonstick 11-Inch Square Grill Pan

Cuisinart GG30-20 GreenGourmet Hard-Anodized Nonstick 11-Inch Square Grill PanSince my old outdoor grill was recently retired, & this is not the time of the year to purchase a new one, I decided to buy this pan instead. I have to say that it does as good a job at grilling meat as my gas barbeque did. It grills vegetables & fish perfectly. Overall, I am very pleased with this item & would highly recommend it.

The pan is really non stick and is easy to clean. The way the handle is constructed it does not get as hot as other handles. Delighted to have it since we got rid of our outdoor grill! May try the other pans in the same series.

Cuisinart GreenGourmet Eco-Friendly 11-Inch Square Grill Pan

I've had this grill pan for about one month. It is light weight making it easy to handle and absolutely nothing sticks. I used it for steak, porkchops, grilled cheese sandwich, and even eggs. I have other types of non-stick pans but none hold a candle to this non-stick. If it will wear well, you have a real winner. I do wish you offered a smaller version such as 8" or 9" square grill pan. I would definately

buy a pan of that size for cooking for one or two people.

Absolutely 5 STARS.

I read all the reviews on this eco friendly Cuisinart 11" grill pan and decided to purchase it. First I will say, it is a very good looking pan.I have only used it three times so far so maybe in 6 months I will have a different opinion but it is everything the manufacture claims.I have an electric smooth top stove so I was worried that it might not work for me as it isn't entirely flat on the bottom. It has grooves.Much to my surprise this pan fits perfectly on my cooktop. The handle stays cool and it grills very nicely leaving nice grill marks.Clean up is probably the best part as it cleans up beautifully without any effort. After reading other reviews, I decided not to grill on high and only have put it up to medium and medium high at the maximum. I also let it completely cool down before washing it by hand in warm soapy water with a sponge or paper towel. This pan looksbrand new like it has never been used. I also took care in having the pan in drawer where it does not touch other pans as it could chip the ceramic material if other pans are stacked on top of it.I am hoping this pan continues to hold up after months of use.If it does, I will say this material that the pan is made of is the BEST INVENTION EVER.The pan is also relatively inexpensive. At less than $50, you can't go wrong.

After 4 months of use, this pan is holding up very well.Grills nicely, easy clean up, and nothing sticks. Eco friendly too. Go for it.You won't regret it.

After 7 months of use, I see that the cleanup of this pan is taking a lot more effort. It is still the best grill pan I have used on my smooth top range but you can see where the finsh is wearing off some as the middle of the pan is becoming lighter in color than the rest of the pan.I have never overheated the pan nor have I used anything abrasive on it.

Yes. It's a grill pan as advertised, and a pretty good one at that. My wife and I have a set of the GreenGormet EcoFriendly cookware, and purchased the grill pan to match. The grill pan uses the same ceramic non-stick surface and is actually fairly non-stick compared to some of the competitors aluminum cookware (Calphalon). My only gripe is that when I grill something to burn those nice parallel marks on the food, the burnt food matter is really tough to remove from the surface of the pan. Don't get me wrong, with some other pans that job would be nearly impossible. Of course, nothing compares to Teflon but who wants cancer?

I would recommend to a friend or buy another.

Lefse Grill, Heritage

Lefse Grill, HeritageI've used my griddle for over 20 yrs for lefse, bacon, swedish pancakes and whatever else I wanted to make. Its just starting to go and I put a new one on my wish list for this christmas.I LOVE it and would never buy a rectangular griddle again. Its amazing how much you can fit on a round griddle.

I've been using the same Bethany round aluminum griddle (not non-stick) since 1974.I've replaced the temperature control twice, and it's been well worth it.I use the griddle for fried aggs, bacon, omelettes, pancakes, Wiener schnitzel, quesadillas, and more. It's well-seasoned and I rarely have sticking problems.37 years sort of speaks for itself.

We have owned this same model for several years and would highly recommend this product to anyone. We did eventually have to replace the temperature/power probe but has stood up very well considering its higher temperature surface and cooking lefse for 2 or 3 hours at a go. It gets regular use for pancakes and grilled cheeze sandwiches and does a great job of both. This is why we purchased two additional grills for Christmas presents for family members as they have always coveted our grill.

I have owned a silverstone grill for years and love it, so much so that I ordered one for a gift recently. It is definitely useful for making more than just lefse! One word of caution:make sure that the specifications/description matches what you want, not just going by the picture. The Amazon site was confusing in that it actually had 3 pictures of the Bethany grills, but Bethany only makes 2 grills. When the grill arrived, we realized that we had ordered the wrong one.We had wanted the non-stick version, but had actually accidently ordered the aluminum "satin" one instead.(My attempt at making lefse on a Bethany aluminum grill resulted in my lefse sticking to the grill, a problem I have never had with my silverstone non-stick finish.)Customer service was very helpful, however, and the "wrong" grill was picked up and replaced with the correct one, all free of charge.

I have used my grill for about 12 years and it is the most used cooking tool in our kitchen.I use it for many foods, both Scandinavian and Amercian.I just prepared our breakfast of pancakes and eggs on the grill. We often warm tortillas on the grill did so this week.I set it at about 450 F and the tortillas heat quickly.I have found that the dome cover is very useful in reducing heat loss.I was on the website today, because I am purchasing a grill for a Norwegian friend.

Wolfgang Puck WPCGL050 Tri-Grill Panini Maker with Storage Drawer

Wolfgang Puck WPCGL050 Tri-Grill Panini Maker with Storage DrawerIf you have not tried one of these muti-purpose portable cookers (if you have you know the speed and ease of cooking any meal is unbelieveable) look no further than this fine unit. Right out of the box you see the quality and thought that went into this product. This is a replacement for my first (different brand panini grill). Differences are unbeliveable; unlike my previous grill this unit grills to perfection, the grease from cooking goes thru the open bottom grill plates, into a removeable tray. All grids are removeable, which is a huge difference (my old unit did not have removeable grids had to clean by hand). It cooks meat, chicken, panini etc perfectly and nearly grease free.P.S.Don't throw out the direction booklet! It has over 20 Wolfgang Puck recipes in it, to use with this grill! Can't say enough.

I was searching for a replacement for my old unit from a different manufacturer that I had loved but is no longer made, and had several requirements:

1.Removable plates

2.An interior drip pan

3.A "floating" top that would allow for even cooking when food is thicker on one end.

4.An adjustable temperature (more than just high/low).

5.A decent sized cooking area.

It is somewhat surprising to me how difficult finding all these on the same unit can be, and this tri-grill does deliver and performs well on each of these items, so for that I'd give it five stars. The reason for me only rating it three is below:

After reading the other reviews here, I was a little nervous about ordering because of the possibility of poor quality. You can imagine my thoughts when I opened the box and out falls a screw!Fortunately, the screw was to hold the lid onto the handle and I was able to reassemble. The other side was very loose too, so I do believe that it can be assumed that these grills are not well built.I cannot help but wonder what is loose on the inside that I don't know about, even though it seems to be working fine. While not totally cheap, the materials do seem slightly on the flimsy side compared to some higher end models, but I think they are acceptable for a $99 price. The exception is the grill plates which I think are very nice and even sturdier than my much loved previous grill.

The grill is attractive, but it is a bit clunky/bulky in size because of the extra griddle plate storage. Its a great idea, but now that I own it, I personally would prefer to have a sleeker unit and have to store the extra plate elsewhere.I also wish the cord was just a little bit longer. The gauges are difficult to read when standing at the counter, I have to bend over and get closer to eye level with it to set.I also wish the gauges had more markings, but that is not a big deal.

Overall, I am happy with the tri-grill.With exception of quality concerns, my complaints with the grill are relatively minor. For me, it isn't going to become my favorite appliance because these complaints are annoyances, but its acceptable and does a very good job at its intended function it does grill well (leaves nice grill marks on the food too).

Buy Wolfgang Puck WPCGL050 Tri-Grill Panini Maker with Storage Drawer Now

We searched until we found what looked like the prefect multi-function panini grill. It's a great concept and obviously someone thought of all the possibilities for cooking that it could do.And the storage for the extra plates is brilliant. However, when we took it out of the box, some screws and bolts fell out. Then we noticed that the anchors holding the heating element were loose and dangling. We couldn't put them in because the back, where the bolts went, was inaccessible.A little black rubber part fell out also, and we figured out that it was one of the rubber feet on the bottom, but the other one was missing.

We thought the metal which it was made of was rather thin and flimsy, and it was apparently carelessly assembled. Also, a lot of the parts rattled, making it sound not very sturdy. We are returning it without trying it and getting a refund. But after reading the 5-star review about how well it cooks, we are considering trying another one, just to see if this one was a lemon.

I just threw item this in the trash after a near tragedy. It is made so cheaply that while I was cooking the top plate slid out when the lid was raised. The hot plate fell to the tile floor just missing my feet because I jumped backwards; still holding on to the lid.Mentally picture this with the bare red hot heat coils exposed; the hinge lid unstable and ground beef patties on the bottom plate.Unplugged the unit and cleaned up the mess. The next day my husband looked at the unit and determined that the ONE clip on the front was not securing the top plate properly. There was no way to bend or weld a piece on the clip to make it safe to use.I had even bought the extra waffle plates which was also a waste of money. The Customer Service at the manufacturer was insolent and a letter to the the Wolfgang Puck cookware website was never answered. Please for your safety do NOT buy this appliance!

Clipper Aluminum Seamless Pizza Screen

Clipper 215-00270 16-Inch Aluminum Seamless Pizza ScreenDURABLE, LONG LASTING: The screen is made from heavy-gauge aluminum, this pan isn't too thin or flimsey.the ring around the outside is also quite thick and flat-rolled onto the screen. Nice, heavy restaurant-style stuff.I look forward to many years of use out of this.

STURDY: I have built pizzas on this thing, loaded up with toppings and sauce, and it is stiff enough to easily maneuver in and out of the oven.I have used it in both a standard oven, and also in my "wave" oven.Fits perfectly in the wave oven, bought it specifically for this application, but it will work well anywhere you are baking.Perfect size if you don't need a huge pizza, but the small size makes it very flexible in use.I think it might even fit pretty easily in a toaster oven too.Happy Baking!

WOULD I BUY IT AGAIN: Absolutely.. and they are so cheap, I bought two of them.. if I was to do it again, I'd probably get three.

Pizza screen are the best way to get a nice crisp crust. I have not had it long so I can't comment on durability.

I could never get the hang of my pizza peel, probably because it was so cheap and rough my dough stuck to it and I could never shake it off in one piece onto my pizza stone even with lots of corn meal on it. So I started using a pizza pan, the kind with holes in it, but it left my crust all soggy. So I tried this screen. I stretched the dough and put it directly on the screen (sprayed with some Pam). Then I put the screen with the pizza on my stone and it came out great. The crust had a great crispy bottom but was still fold able like a New York style should be. Now my pizza pan is just used to transfer the cooked pizza onto for slicing. The screen is well built and lightweight. I got the 16" and it's perfect for a large family sized pizza, but I might order a few smaller ones to make individual pizzas.

Want Clipper Aluminum Seamless Pizza Screen Discount?

I have had a couple of pizza screens for over 20 years. This is built better than the previous ones with a heavier rim, so should be more durable. We use them for cookie cooling racks and noodle strainers as well (flat against the kettle)

One of my old ones finally became bent and torn so found this one for half the price of my 20-year old one.

Catches most of the cheese that might bubble off and otherwise land on the oven bottom.Allows for even baking of pizzas, frozen or fresh, although we use a solid pizza pan for a couple minutes first with fresh-dough pizzas to make sure that the crust has started to skin a little, then transfer to the screen to finish baking.

Works well for making garlic or cheese toast too.Better to get a 16" since it fits in most ovens and can bake anything smaller, rather than a too-small sized one.

To clean, let it soak on top of the pizza pan in warm soapy water then use a brush if there is stuff in the holes. Only takes a minute.

Lodge Color ECSGP43 Enameled Cast Iron Square Grill Pan, Island Spice Red, 10-inch

Lodge Color ECSGP43 Enameled Cast Iron Square Grill Pan, Island Spice Red, 10-inchI purchased the 10" Lodge Logic Grill Pan and the 10" Staub Grill Pan at the same time. The Staub pan is approximately three times the cost of the lodge logic pan.I find the Staub pan to be suburb in both look and feel, but both pans are entirely functional.Surprisingly, I found the lodge pan to have a smoother coating of outer enamel I was less worried about scratching my glass top stove when using it.The lodge pan is about 1/2" shorter than the Staub pan which may result in additional splatter. The cooking surfaces of both pans are the same size, however the surface of the lodge pan feels more porous than that of the Staub pan.

I found cleaning to be very simple for both pans.If you are having difficulty I suggest soaking the griddle surface in hot water and detergent for an hour. This gives a chance for the detergent to break down and release fats.If you want to prevent burning try cooking with temperatures no more than medium high this is stated in the included manual.Be sure to give your pan a good coat of olive oil when cooking I use the pressurized spray olive oil as it is far easier to get an even coat.

Lodge Logic Grill Pan Review Summary:

Pros (Compared to Staub):Low Cost, Smoothness of Outer Enamel

Cons (Compared to Staub):Height (Approx 1/2" Shorter than Staub Grill Pan), Quality of Cooking Surface Enamel, No Pour Spout, General Appearance

Overall Stars Staub 10" Grill Pan:5/5

Overall Stars Lodge Logic:4/5

If both pans had been the same height I would have given both a rating of 5.The rest of the cons are outweighed by the difference in cost between the pans.At it's price point, the lodge pan is still a very good deal.If you have a modest budget by all means purchase the lodge pan.It works. If you are concerned about splatter and visual appeal and have the budget buy the Staub.

I have used both griddles twice now and am posting pictures and as you will see both appear brand new though they have been used.

I have been attempting to switch to cast iron cookware for health reasons, and so when I pulled out a recipe for grilled romaine salad I decided to search for an enameled cast iron pan instead of going with cook's illustrated recommended nonstick version. This pan is an amazing deal, compared to the Le Creuset version at $83, and although I have only used it so far for the one recipe I look forward to using it over and over again.I bought an Oxo Good Grips stiff brush for $5.50 to use to clean it, and it cleaned up just as easily as any of my nonstick pans.I recommend it wholeheartedly.Happy grilling!Oxo Good Grips Kitchen Brush

I purchased this pan, along with the matching Lodge Color Enamel Cast Iron 8.5 inch Square Panini Press, Caribbean Blue (in island spice red), about a year ago.No complaints, it works as advertised with consistent results.I use it at least three or four times a week, mainly making paninis but also to grill meats when I don't feel like going outside in the weather and even for home made quesadillas.

I own lots of cast iron cook wear, all from Lodge, though this is my first enameled piece.Even with that I still had a bit of a learning curve which resulted in a couple phenomenal burnt cheese messes (the press is HEAVY and will squeeze out excess cheese/sauce/liquids, etc...), but everything cleaned up quickly and easily with minimal fuss.I've learned to use a bit less cheese and to concentrate it in the middle to help keep it in the food and off the grill, problem solved.

Quality of the finish isn't quite on par with the pricier brands, but works just as well and still looks great, especially considering the price difference.

Since most of the negative reviews cite issues that are more user-error than a problem with the product, here are a couple pointers for those inexperienced with using cast iron,

Use medium to medium-high heat and let the pan preheat for at least 5-10 minutes before use.Cast iron retains heat very well, but also takes much longer to heat up than the thin, chintzy pans inhabiting so many kitchens. You can preheat the press as well by placing it in the pan with ridges interlocked, but be sure to give it more time.Be patient, the results are worth it!

Use a good quality cooking spray, or a refillable liquid sprayer (I have this one:Misto Gourmet Olive Oil Sprayer, Brushed Aluminum, to get a nice even coating of olive oil on the cooking surface to help produce great sear marks and prevent sticking.

For cleanup use the same method you used to cook; add 1/4" to 1/2" of water in the pan and heat on medium-high to just before boiling.Once the water is hot keep the heat coming and scrub the pan with a stiff bristled nylon brush (I get mine at the local dollar store) till everything comes up.Works great on conventional cast iron pans as well.No need to apply a light coat of oil before storing, though, due to the enamel.

Cooking with cast iron, even when enameled, takes a little more effort than non-stick, but for me the results are well worth it.Enjoy!

I wanted this for so long and finally decided to buy it. Speedy shipping and it looked great! I got it on Nov 2, 2010 and used it the same night. I cooked chicken using silicone tipped tongs and then hand-washed it with hot water, plain Dawn and a non-scratch scrubber. My sink is cast iron also but I have protective mats on the sink bottom. All of that and it still chipped! I thought maybe I missed washing some spots but after looking closer, I saw that there were small chips on the inside of the grill and small chips on the bottom of the handle. I am so disappointed in this item. Have to see about a return. I have not even had it for 2 weeks yet. I have other enameled cast iron by this brand and they are awesome though.

MIU France Tri-Ply Stainless Steel and Aluminum Sauté Pan with Lid, Silver, 5-Qt.

MIU France Tri-Ply Stainless Steel and Aluminum Sauté Pan with Lid, Silver, 5-Qt.I'm a little surprised this saute pan doesn't have more reviews. It has a clunky "commercial kitchen" type feel to it, but it has worked well in the month or so I have had it.I have browned meat, boiled water and cooked pasta in it, made large batches of pasta sauce in this saute pan, and throughout it all this pan has been easy to clean, as far as stainless cookware goes.

It's only claim to "tri-ply" is its base, but for what I use a saute pan for, that is enough. The main reason I bought the MIU Stainless 5-Qt Saute Pan, aside from it being large (11" diameter, straight sides, 5 qt capacity) and coming with a lid, was that it had welded handles and was usable on induction hobs.Obviously, I am on the side of the welded handle camp, versus the riveted handle camp, for ease of cleanup and being able to run my cooking utensils smoothly around a pan.

The MIU Stainless 5-Qt Saute Pan with Lid doesn't have the heft (or price) of the analogous Sitram or Demeyere piece, but in my home kitchen, it does what I ask it to.I can't comment yet on the durability of the weld jobs since I've only had it for such a short time.I would recommend this saute pan as a serviceable, cheaper albeit less well-constructed alternative to other welded-handle, stainless steel cookware, such as Sitram or Demeyere.

Ozeri Green Earth Textured Ceramic Nonstick Frying Pan, 100-Percent PTFE and PFOA Free

The 12' Green Earth Frying Pan by Ozeri, with Textured Ceramic Non-Stick Coating from GermanyI bought this pan seeking a replacement for our aging traditional non-stick pan. I didn't know much about the company, but the reviews seemed solid. I will add to the solid reviews. This pan is well constructed and works as advertised. It has a good heft, heats evenly, and holds its temperature well. The textured bottom does not impede the non-stick properties. I can't say I notice a marked improvement over a smooth bottomed PTFE-free pan, but it doesn't hurt.

A note to those who find the non-stick properties disappearing in your pans. This happened with a previous PTFE-free pan I had used.If you look carefully and run your fingers (particularly around the bottom circumference) you will notice a sticky film. This seems to be a build up from excess oil not cleaned off well.By this point it will be extremely sticky and hard to clean off. With some serious elbow grease, I was able to clean this off.The pan is as good as new.I haven't had the build up occur with this pan yet, but I recommend cleaning thoroughly after each use to avoid the sticky build up.

I've used this pan for a few weeks now and really like it.The color looks fresh and nice if I take the pan directlyto the table. It's also cooked food evenly and is super easy to clean with no scrubbing needed.(I've only tried hand washing it).I wish that it were 12" on both the bottom and top, though, like my last pan was. This pan is 12" across at the top but 10" across at the bottom, which allows me to only cook 2 grilled cheese sandwiches instead of 3 at one time. But other than the size issue, I am very happy with the pan.

This is probably the slickest non-stick pan I've ever used.Unfortunately, the surface died a very quick death.I used this pan maybe 6 or 7 times before the non-stick surface started coming off.I was very careful with this pan gently using plastic cooking utensils, allowing it to cool before rinsing, cleaning gently with a soapy wash cloth, etc.And how was I rewarded for my caring ways?

Yeah.... don't buy this pan.

Other reviews would suggest that the non-stick properties don't last but at first it's amazing. Even water doesn't want to wet the surface. We fried turkey sausage and clean-up with a sponge and soapy water hardly seemed necessary. It's nicely made and heavy with some classy looking machine work on the bottom. My only complaint is the deceptive advertising and packaging. The Amazon description says, "From Germany" and the box it comes in says "From Germany" no less than 7 times. So it's German made, right? WRONG! Small print on the bottom of the box says "Made in China." "From Germany" apparently applies to the coating material only. Still, it's very well made, just as good or better than if it were truly a German product and likely at half the cost. How long will the non-stick properties last? Time will tell.

Cuisinart MultiClad Pro Stainless-Steel Saucepan with Cover

Cuisinart MCP19-16 MultiClad Pro Stainless-Steel 1-1/2-Quart Saucepan with CoverI'm a self-confessed cookware junkie and professionally-trained home chef.I have at least 60 or so different pots and pans, and actually use most of them regularly.I've been biased toward Calphalon Anodized (not non-stick) for nearly 20 years, and still love the line.I got into Calphalon Tri-Ply, which is superb, but thought I'd try this pan to see if the value was there.

IMHO, Calphalon Tri-Ply, Cuisinart Multiclad, and KitchenAid Clad all have far surpassed All-Clad for various reasons.Basically, All-Clad hasn't changed its design in ages, and has missed out on a number of very real improvements.

To Wit: the rolled lip that eliminates pouring drips and runs of liquid down the outside of the pan.A simple improvement, but a huge one for simplifying clean-up later, and for whatever surface you rest the pan on.So far, I think Calphalon has the best lids -glass, deep draw, and very nicely fitting. This Cuisinart pan's top fits acceptably well, but it's probably the weak link.As for strengths, this pan weighs in as heavy or heavier than either the All-Clad or Calphalon offerings of similar size, so that's a big win for heat dispersion and uniformity (All-Clad has become really thin over the years!).Unlike the KitchenAid, the exterior is matte finished except for the top 1/2 inch or so.This helps to ensure that the pan will look good despite real-world use.The shape is nice -not too tall and narrow, so it works well on a small burner.

Finally there is the handle. This doesn't have the cool-V design of the Calphalon, but it stays pretty cool anyway.I have a major problem with All-Clad handles, which are extremely uncomfortable for me, the way I lift pans (I have very strong arms and wrists, so I usually lift pans overhand, unlike many who go underhand to get the extra muscle leverage).Lifting overhand, the All-Clad handles dig into my palm in a very uncomfortable way. These Cuisinart (and Calphalon and KitchenAid) handles do not.

4.5 stars overall; 1/2 star docked for the lid being less than perfect (but still as good as all the competition except Calphalon).

UPDATE: Feb 18, 2009: I've compared the Cuisinart Multiclad Pro and All-Clad Stainless pans side by side, and if anything, the Cuisinarts are heavier duty, certainly not meaningfully lighter! The All-Clad LTD pans (some of them) do appear to be thicker/heavier than their stainless counterparts, but then we're comparing apples and oranges, and in any event it's pretty much gilding the lily to go much thicker than they are already. The pouring lip on the Cuisinarts is a huge in-use advantage as well (far less messy). On the whole, the Multiclad Pro line is an incredible bargain. Search my reviews for other comments about these vis-a-vis Calphalon etc.

This pan looks great and performs great. It's less heavy duty than All-Clad, but unless the kitchen is in the middle of a stone quarry it is plenty, plenty heavy duty enough. And it looks great, too.In addition to the price advantage, another lead over All-Clad is the turned lip.One disadvantage, though, is the handle. It's not a light pot, and when it is full it is simply heavy. The handle is not broad/thick/shaped enough, and there is no helper handle on the opposite side.It works, certainly, but the 2006 version could be improved.

I thought I would love this pan. And I do love the multi-clad. And the handle's fine, along with the rivets.

The problem is the lid.

For some reason, the Pro and stainless Chef's lines use a lid that just sits on top of the pot rather than utilize the lid they provide for the non-stick Chef's line, one that has an underrim on it and is seated within the pan (like the Calphalon lids; and, like the Calphalon lids, the non-stick Chef's line lids are glass). The end result is that if and when the contents begin to boil, the steam begins to boil over, even if the contents themselves do not (and if it's anywhere near full, the contents boil over as well; either way, you have a mess). Therefore, unless you watch it like a hawk, or leave the lid off, the 1 1/2qt pan becomes, practically, a 1qt pan, and you may as well get the 2qt if you want 1 1/2qts capacity. Or go with the non-stick Chef's line. Or Calphalon (which, unfortunately, is nearly three times the price).

I bought this pan because of the similarities to the Calphalon Tri-Ply and the All Clad Stainless I own, but at a lower price. When it arrived today, I was delighted! Every bit as high quality as the much more expensive pans I own.

The interior and the exterior around the lip is mirror polished so very easy to clean. The bottom half and the base of the pan is slightly brushed so that it doesn't show scratches or fingerprints. It features a slightly curved out lip for dripless pouring that is identical to Calphalon. The handle is well balanced and doesn't get hot when cooking on the stove. The lid is a heavy gauge stainless and fits snugly.

It features the aluminum core that is sandwiched between 2 layers of stainless steel. Note that this is NOT the less expensive disc base you find on lesser products. It is smooth and seamless and provides superior heat conduction and retention. You will definitely need to use much lower heat if you've been using cheaper pans.

These do not have a non-stick coating but they clean up beautifully. If you ever burn something, use a little Bar Keepers Friend and your pan will look like new. It will also go into the dishwasher no problem.

I can definitely recommend this line so from now on, I will check All Clad, Calphalon Tri-Ply, and Cuisinart Multiclad Pro and then choose whatever's on sale because as far as I'm concerned, they are equally high quality.

This cookware overall is an excellent choice for the price. It heats uniformally cleans up well and looks great, I have them hanging on a pot rack in the kitchen. The handles do well on heat they don't get to hot unless they have been on the burner for an extended period of time but I've used more expensive pots that heat up much faster. If I have a complaint it's that they haven't expanded the line at all.I'd like to see more choices in the multiclad like like they have in their other sets.

Berghoff Earthchef Acadian 8-Inch Non-Stick Fry Pan

Berghoff Earthchef Acadian 8-Inch Non-Stick Fry PanMake sure that you DO NOT EVER use any non-stick cooking spray on these pans. One use will completely ruin the non-stick qualities. I think that these pans are pretty good but we sprayed the non-stick on one and now it's covered in burnt marks and stains that will not come off and the non-stick doesn't work anymore. But even the one that we did not spray the non-stick on has some sticky stains at the top edges that we can't really get off. Kinda wish I'd just gotten a cheap eco-pan from Bed Bath and Beyond since I'm not sure that these were worth the price. They do work fairly well as a non-stick but like I said one of ours is not washing clean now even though we never used cooking spray on it and it should still wipe clean...

I was getting so frustrated with non stick coatings in the fry pans constantly scratching and becoming unhealthy. I discovered this pan by accident while watching a morniing news show. I love how it washes up so easily. The non stick surface is just that not a coating. And one last thing I love how it cooks eggs whether scrambled or fried. I highly recommend this pan.

All Clad Stainless Steel French Skillet

All Clad Stainless Steel 7-Inch French SkilletWhat else can one possibly say about All Clad that hasn't been said already. An excellent American product.I have been using All Clad cookware for at least 20 years.Nothing else comes close. So perfect too with my new induction cooktop. I bought an 11-inch frypan and a 9-inch.Wonderful!

Easy to use and clean up. Only wish it was 6 inches instead of 7, but still is a great pan.

I am giving this three stars because it is really easy to burn oil in it. I am inexperienced with stainless cookware so it is possibly something I am doing wrong.I really like the fact that it is made in the USA and buying it employs Americans. Also it is very pretty.

Lodge Striped Hot Handle Holders/Mitts, Set of 2

Lodge Striped Hot Handle Holders/Mitts, Set of 2These look nice, and fit the pan handles well, but if you leave them on the pan for any length of time (and not a crazy hot pan either... 350-375 in the center of the pan is enough) they will get charred on the pan end. There is a Lodge Max Temp Handle Mitt, Black that might work better but I don't have any experience with it as I ordered these instead. They could definitely be made out of some material that held up better to high temps. I would expect that kind of problem at 500+ degrees, but I don't consider 350 degrees (probably less than 300 where the handle meets the pan) to be particularly hot for cast iron cookware.

I too have had the problem of the mitt burning at the end. After reading the review of the mitt charring, I figured that the user either 1) used too high heat, or 2) placed their pan off-center, resulting in the mitt being over the flame.

I was very conscious of these two variables as I used the mitts. After about 2 weeks of cooking, I noticed that my mitt was charred as well. While cooking I either half-removed the mitt while the pan was on the stove top, &/or made sure the heat never went beyond medium (gas). It appears that the mitt itself is of decent quality, but the cloth used on the edges are not anything special.

All in all, I expected better quality from a product with the "Lodge" name.In their defense however, these mitts were priced pretty cheap.I picked up 2 sets & expect them to last me a couple years with more cautious use (ie: leaving them half-off while cooking, proper pan placement, & medium heat). However, when they are no longer usable, I do not think that I would bother picking up replacements.

These pot handle holders are easy to use.I have Circulon Cookware that I really love but the handles are stainless steel so they get very hot.I just slide one over the handle and am able to lift the pans easily out of the oven or off the stove.

...whether you own a Lodge or other cast iron skillet, pan, etc., this handle holder is "A must have."Slip it on over the handle and forget about it.You don't need a oven glove or a hot pad, so it's easy to control the skillet while cooking, indoors or out. When out RVing, I cook a lot of meals outdoors, and you can be sure that I have several of these on hand over my skillet and combo cooker.Yours should too... Enjoy Cooking!

Bought 2 of these. they're great at blocking the handle heatbut if you push them on the handle all the way, they singe or burn, even if the flame isn't wider than your pan. it's unfortunate...

Lodge Logic 4-Piece Cookware Set

Lodge Logic 4-Piece Cookware SetThis has a dutch over that fits a roast easily and a skillet that is large enough for fried chicken and not so large that it would be for nothing else. The cover fits both pieces. The cookbook is okay but we all have our favorite recipes. It is still good to get an idea of how things are prepared in cast iron pieces of all types not just these two.So, all in all, I recommend it.Just be sure to oil it up after each use.
