BergHOFF Virgo 10-Inch Covered Deep Skillet, 3.1-Quart

BergHOFF Virgo 10-Inch Covered Deep Skillet, 3.1-QuartI originally bought this pan to replace another Berghoff 10" deep skillet that I had used for years and it was finally loosing some of it's non-stick covering. However, now that I'm using this new skillet I find that it is more of an upgrade than a replacement.I love the new ceramic non-stick interior.Nothing sticks and yet no Teflon! The lid holders on either side are an ingenious addition as are the built in strainer holes.Plus I love the bright vibrant color. Now if I could only figure out just how to remove the handle so I can put it in the oven...

I was hesitant to order this skillet as it was expensive but I was so desperate for a good heavy non stick skillet that I took a chance. And I'm so glad I did.It cooks very evenly and washing up is a dream.I simply wipe it with a paper towel and swish it in warm soapy dishwater and wallah! It's clean.I have a solid service cook top and it's heavenly to have a skillet that sits solid on it. I would order every piece that BergHOFF manufactures if I could afford it.The younger generation may not like washing it by hand but that's very little inconvenience for the beauty of the pan.

A truly versatile pan! You can even cook pasta in it and drain water through provided strainer holes in the lid. The handle is removable you just twist the end of it and slide up or down, so you could bake something in it the oven. Ceramic non stick surface works perfectly, omelets just slide right out. This pan is made out of thick aluminum, so it's very light weight and makes a serious competition to cast iron pans that I used before.

I really like the skillet. Definitely nonstick. I used it for the second time today. Wasn't paying attention and food got burnt but it didn't stick at all. Slid off pan super easy. No damage to cooking surface. Propping up cover on handle was a great idea. However, as I was washing it, I noticed that the handle that props up cover was broken. Disappointed in an otherwise great product. Attempted to contact berghoff today for replacement. Let's see if they honor their 5 year warranty.

Poor product Poor customer service Would not buy again for half the price

Warning: First time reviewer here, but I use the reviews of products exclusively on whether or not to purchase products on amazon.com. I do not want any other users to go through the same poor customer service I did only to gain nothing.

I have purchased a set of Berghoff Scala Ceramic coated frying pans. I used the main 12" pan for about a month. As time progresses the pan started to stick. I contacted the customer service dept. that told me to deep clean the pan with baking soda and water. After it was dry add oil to the pan while slowly reheating it.I did this several times to cure my pan as suggested by the customer service rep. He assured me that it would take some time for this to work. This took place over 4 months after purchasing the set.I then got preoccupied when moving into my renovated kitchen. After dealing with my renovation I found the pan again. It was now 12 months since purchase.I had a new representative that made it sound like the guy I was speaking to previously did a poor job and was let go, which he was very rude. She stated they needed to find my files and reopen the review of my pan.She advised me to send the pan in so the warranty dept. could look at the pan. I had to pay shipping both ways but I figured they would at least get my pan back into good condition.Berghoff never called or emailed that they had my pan even though I sent a letter with the pan. After waiting a month I decided to email and see if they received the pan. The last customer service rep I had was now gone and I had a new one again. She had to find the pan again and pull up the files. After a reply from the newest customer service rep she stated that my pan was not covered under warranty.WHAT?

She explained that due to the color of the bottom of the pan I had overheated the pan and that the warranty was now void. I the dirt she cleaned on the bottom of my pan was on all our pans we had. We have a glass top range that we cool all our meals on. It does get dirty at times. I simply took a nylon scrubber to clean one of the other pans I had just to see how hard it was.I emailed back stating that her suggestion was not the case and that I wanted to speak to a supervisor.Three weeks later still no response.I called and was directed to the same person I was dealing with my emails. She said she brought the pan to her supervisor and stated that she agreed while refusing to allow me to speak to her supervisor.

The facts: Not once did I ever cook with the pan over ½ heat on my range top. I primarily cooked eggs, sausage, warmed up veggies, and cooked some fish. Mind you that I only used the pan 1 month.I hand washed it after every use. At first everything would slide out of the pan. The pan got to the point where I had to scrape it each time after use and then let it sit in soap water. THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN AFTER 1 MONTH OF USE!

Due to the numerous customer service representatives, poor service, and average pans I would never recommend anyone buy from this company. They did offer me a deal though, 50% off their retail of a new pan. That was almost the same price I could buy it off of amazon.com.

Magnalite Classic 10-Quart Covered Stockpot

Magnalite Classic 10-Quart Covered StockpotPlease be aware that this item is not the original life-long Magnalite that many of us have grown up with but an inferior product made in China.I received this piece today and knew immediately that it was not the same as my many other Magnalite pots just by the lightweight feel of it.I turned it over and on the bottom was stamped China. The authentic Magnalite pieces have been and are still produced by the American Culinary Corporation here in the USA.

When my mom cooked for us while we were growing up, she used Magnalite pots. That's one of my sensory memories: Mom tapping the spoon on the side after stirring something, making a deeply satisfying DONG sound (uhhhh, the pot, not Mom). She lost all her Magnalite pots in Hurricane Katrina, so when my parents bought a new home, my siblings and I got my Mom the whole Magnalite set and this pot to set her straight again. She was ecstatic to have something familiar again, and she's still as happy nearly two years later. OK, she's not constantly as happy. Sometimes she gets mad at my dad when he feeds the dog jelly beans. But still. Totally worth it.

Berndes 697628 SignoCast Pearl Ceramic Coated Cast Aluminum 11-1/2-Inch Open Fry Pan/Skillet

Berndes 697628 SignoCast Pearl Ceramic Coated Cast Aluminum 11-1/2-Inch Open Fry Pan/SkilletI love this pan! Did a lot of research to replace my 5 year old Calphalon 12" "non-stick" pan. The Berndes brand in general was very highly recommended, and I like that the Pearl finish does not contain some of the usual harmful materials in non-stick surfaces. I can't believe how great this pan is. Eggs don't stick; nothing sticks -which means clean-up takes 2 seconds.

My older PTFE (Teflon) coated pan was wearing out, as the coating gets damaged over time, so I wanted a non-stick replacement pan.

My new Berndes ceramic coated pan is amazing! It's more non-stick than PTFE coated pans and more durable. I'm very happy with it. And as an extra bonus, it does all this without using PTFE.

DeBuyer Mineral B Element Iron Frypan, Round

DeBuyer Mineral B Element Iron Frypan, RoundFirst off: If you cannot lift heavy pans, don't get these. Instead, I'd opt for high-quality stainless. And if possible a stainless/copper.

With that said, these are truly a lifetime investment item if they are taken care of. Once it's seasoned, you cannot cook a better pan-fried steak. One of the best pans I've used thus far, and I've owned a restaurant.

There are a few suggestions for seasoning. I want to share with you what I do to achieve the best and most successful seasoning of my iron pans, without the sticky residue or uneven seasoning.

What you will need: Water, 3 potatoes, flax seed oil (organic), sponge, and a spare dry towel(s). *FYI: I use Barlean's Organic Flaxseed Oil. There are other brands you can find in your local Whole Foods or organic markets.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Once you receive your pan, place on burner and fill nearly to the brim (leaving about 1/2" from the top) with hot water.

2. Next, add peels from approximately 3 potatoes. Let boil for 15-20 minutes. You'll notice the water beginning to darken after about 10 minutes, which is good. You are essentially boiling out the beeswax that is added before shipment.

3. Pour out the water. You may notice a black line where the water level was, that's normal. Use a sponge to lightly scrub the pan under hot running water, focusing on the sides and around the rivets. You are just finishing off what was left over after boiling. If you have dark spots from the potato peels at the bottom of your pan, no worries..it's normal. Towel dry and return to burner.

4. Turn your burner to high heat, and then place approx. 2-3 tsp. of flax oil in the center of your pan while it's cool. Make sure to turn on your exhaust fan if you have one.

5. Rub a very, very thin layer of the oil around the entire inside of the pan with a towel. Make sure to soak up any excess oil. This is vitally important, because too much oil will ruin the seasoning process. Heat until it smokes oh so slightly.

*Since the timing is so different from one stove to the next, in terms of when it would be ready to take off the burner, I say use that (slightly smoking) as a visual to know.

*Do not leave your pan on the burner without watching it carefully. Again, allowing the oil to smoke a lot is not a good thing, and can ruin the seasoning.

You will notice it darkening almost immediately once the oil becomes hot, but not yet black.

6. Allow to cool.

7. Repeat steps 4-6 until your pan is black (about 5-7 layers). Finally, begin cooking!

Your first batch of food should be a meat as this will speed up the maturing process.

IRON AND HEAT:

Remember that iron continues to rise in temperature, thus you can easily burn your food. You will need to get to know your pan in order to find out when to adjust the heat. Ex: If you are wanting to bring it up to a high temperature, turn your fire or heat source to about a MED-HIGH. Once it reaches that temperature, it's wise to drop the heat down to MED about a minute or two after the food has been added so that it doesn't over cook.

Regardless of what I'm cooking, I almost never set my heat to HIGH. It just doesn't drop in temperature fast enough before burning something.

Also, if you add anything cold to your pan it will be stuck initially. You should wait a minute or two until it forms a nice "crust" in which it can be easily removed or flipped. However, once the seasoning is matured, sticking should not be an issue.

FIRST BATCH OF EGGS:

Eggs are a great example of what can happen if you remove or flip your food too early before it has had a chance to form a "crust", and if you set your heat too high they will burn super fast. So, you definitely want to follow the above tips during the maturing process when cooking eggs. Otherwise, you'll end up with a mess. So again, I highly suggest cooking at a very low temperature for eggs, as they will burn or dry out very quickly in iron pans regardless of maturation.

CLEANING AND COOKING UTENSILS:

Wait for several batches of food before you use a metal spatula. If you notice small scratches in your layer of seasoning after cooking from your cooking utensils...don't worry. It will darken over rather quickly and should not cause any issues. Flax oil seasoning isn't real soft, but it isn't indestructible either. So, just be graceful initially.

If stubborn food is stuck to your pan after cooking; add HOT water, bring to a boil for no more than a minute, scrub with a wooden utensil, dispose of the liquid, rinse and then towel dry. Afterwards you'll need to place a light layer of oil in your pan and heat the pan just before it smokes. OR, you should be able to use a non-abrasive sponge under hot running water to clean up any stubborn messes without any worries. However, it's not a good idea to boil water often as it will slow the maturing process.

Additionally, one tip suggests to place course salt in the pan to sanitize it. However, this can scratch your surface rather quickly if it's the beginning stages of your seasoning, so use that tip cautiously.

BTW: You'll know when your pan has matured when hardly anything sticks to the pan, and you don't have to clean it with anything other than a paper towel after cooking.

***Always remember to oil your pan after each use, regardless***

You can repeat one layer of seasoning after each batch of food in the first month or so, or intermittently. This will ensure a nonstick surface that is sure to last through just about anything. The more you use your pan, the more the non-stick surface becomes. Your pan should be broke in within a three months, depending on use.

TROUBLESHOOTING:

~ If you noticed that there is a large area of what looks like a "smudge" after seasoning, then you added too much oil OR allowed it to get too hot. That's okay..if your first attempt failed, you can start the process over by scrubbing with a scouring pad and removing the layers of seasoning. Then proceeding to repeat the step using much less oil.

~ If your pan is really sticky after seasoning, you have added too much oil, the pan didn't get hot enough, or you need to repeat the process. You may have a slight stickiness after seasoning is finished, but that's fine. It's the thick residue you don't want.

***Do not bake your pan using this oil during the initial seasoning process, unless you know exactly how to do it. It can be used in the oven for cooking once you have finished your seasoning however.

Using any other oil or lard to season your pan will/can cause a thick residue because the burning point is lower for one, which is why I strongly suggest not using any other oil. The seasoning will be much "softer" with other oils, and does not work for me in the least bit, nor will it for you I don't believe. The surface becomes much less even and there are simply too many issues with other oils that I don't want to get into here.

And lastly, do not switch out oils during your seasoning process as some tips may suggest, it's not necessary when you use flax-seed oil especially. You have to take into consideration that each oil will have a different burning point, or smoking point, therefore mixing the oils is not a good idea...period.

So, bottom line is that I do not find seasoning by baking is a good idea unless you are experienced in doing it. For most that aren't, it ends up leaving residue because too much oil was added, which is awful to have on your pan. It will scrape off too easily causing a mess! This can cause a lot of frustration and wasted time. I really want people to have the easiest experience and not be discouraged, thereby switching to non-stick inferior pans for sake of ease ;0)

I really hope this helps you. Good luck, and happy cooking!

Over the years I have a collection of All-Clad Stainless Tri-Ply, Calphalon nonstick, plus a cast iron pizza pan, so I am quite familiar with the strength and weakness of each type of material.

The stainless tri-ply sears well, has pretty good heat conductivity, can be nonstick if you use good technique(dry and warm up certain type of food before cooking, and use enough oil), but it's a pain to clean.

You are probably familiar with nonstick like Caphalon. They work pretty well, don't sear as well as tri-ply stainless, but is easy to clean. They wear out after a few years and you have to replace them. To me, they have no soul. I mostly used mine for eggs.

I used the cast iron pizza pan for steak, hamburger, and frittata. It's well season and nonstick. The one big draw back is that it weight a ton.

I heard good thing about DeBuyer iron cookware so I ordered a DeBuyer 24cm bluesteel crepe pan as it's inexpensive to try out. It's fantastic: eggs slide off it, and cleaning is just rising with warm water and wiping dry with a towel. So I decided to get the 12.6-Inch frypan to use as my general everyday pan. So far I have cooked steak, stir fry, and seared fish with it. I would say that it combines the best features of all the cooking surfaces I have used so far: it's nonstick, sears better than tri-ply stainless perhaps as well as my cast iron, and weight a lot less than cast iron would have been, and it's easy to clean up. Most of the time to clean it I just rinse it with warm water. If I cook fish or steak I would use boiling water to rinse it, and on occasions I would use a slightly soaped sponge on it. Then I would dry it, and when I am not too lazy I would put a couple drop of cooking oil in it and wipe it with a paper towel. The clean up is much faster than with my stainless cookwares.

But best of all, the steak comes out fantastic, the fish seared nicely, and the side is just tall enough to not get in the way yet provide enough volume to use as a really nice stir fry pan. If you cook for 4 people, this is the perfect size.

I said jokingly to my 5-year old daughter that some day this will be hers as she watch me season it the day it arrived. The truth is this thing will last forever and will be hers some day. There is a satisfaction of owing something that will last for generation and is a pleasure to use. I am now a DeBuyer convert (there may be other brands that make iron cookware that are just as good). I bought a 11.8-Inch crepe pan for omeletes and frittata.

I already use the pre-Bee 10" Mineral fry pan de Buyer Mineral Pan, Fry Pan: 10" which is absolutely great. In the terms of the old hot-rod axiom, "if some is good, more is better, and too much is just right," so I bought this 14" monster. I'm going to have to order a larger "universal" fry pan lid since my old one is too small. I love the little honey bee stamped into the bottom of the pan and the honey-colored dot in the handle. Perfection is all in the details, right? I watched the instructions on U-tube, and even though DeBuyer no longer recommends it, I boiled a bunch of potato peelings for a very long time, and then some peanut oil for a less than very long time. Slick as glass and ready to cook now, but not until a few more family members drop by. This pan is BIG. It doesn't show up in all of the advertising photos, but mine actually has a U-shaped handle on the side opposite the long, flat handle for a two-handed grip to make it easier to remove the pan from the range. The 10" is great for my wife and me, and I expect no less from the 14" version when we have to cook for more than two. I can do scrambled eggs in the 10" with less residue left behind than with my previous "non-stick" pans. It almost doesn't need cleaning. Bacon tends to stick a bit, due to the suger content in the curing process I suspect, so I have to wipe down the pan really well with paper towels after the bacon is done, before I toss in the egg mixture. I love these fry pans. Teflon, get thee behind me!

I just received the 10" pan in the mail yesterday to replace a Calphalon Commercial nonstick pan.I followed the seasoning process per De Buyer.I wish the instructions indicated what temperature to heat the oil to.After a bunch of research online I am still unsure if you are supposed to do this over high heat or medium heat.Anyway, first meal cooked in the pan was 3 boneless skinless chicken breasts.I did not get any sticking. This morning I made two eggs and those did not stick either. It is already starting to develop a golden color.Everything I've read indicates it will get better with each use.

I didn't follow instructions for seasoning this pan. I had only a coating of oil in it and starting cooking this pan on the stove. Went to take a phone call and returned to find the center had oil burnt onto it, an ugly brown spot. Looks so ugly I was disgusted! Tried to get the irregular shaped brown spot off by scrubbing it, then decided to use detergent. I know I wasn't supposed to, but I was upset. Still didn't come off. I decided to now use this pan to fry an egg, using very little oil. I thought for sure it will stick since I broke all the rules and this was the pan's first use. Well! It was more nonstick than any nonstick pan I've ever used. Whaddaya know... the pan is forgiving of my abuse. I guess I'll have to overlook its ugliness.

Edit: Ok, so after my success with the egg, I wiped the pan clean with paper towel. Then I tried making an omelette, and this time no oil added to the pan. When the edges of the egg started to dry, I gave it a slight nudge and the omelette started sliding around in the pan. Was tempted to turn it by a toss of the pan but lost my nerve and used the spatula instead. I thought for sure the reverse side would stick this time since the residual oil from previous cooking is already used up. Nope, still did not stick at all. After that I tried the salt rubbing cleaning and that removed the ugly brown spot. So now I changed by rating from 4 stars to 5.

Black & Decker 12-Inch Electric Skillet

Black & Decker 12-Inch Electric SkilletMy grandmother bought this for me for Christmas and it has worked out far better than I could have imagined. This pan is extremely versatile, I use it for deep frying, pan frying, stir frying, and I imagine that there are many other uses that I have yet to discover.

One of the best qualities of this pan is that it is COMPLETELY IMMERSIBLE, so cleaning is a breeze. It also heats extremely quickly and evenly, and has a kick stand for the heating element, so it doesn't burn your counter when you remove it.

I use this pan almost every day and highly recommend it to anyone who likes to cook.

I bought this electric frypan because I've had a black and decker before.I love the 12" size and it is very versital.I didn't realize it wasn't as deep as the one I had before and it does not have the extra lip on the handle to tip the grease to one end. However, this model is still great! It works well, heats quickly and pretty evenly, has the teflon coating so is easy to clean. It is a good product.

I was a little worried because people complained that they could not see the control under the handle. This is not true. The indicator for the temperature you want is far enough out from under the handle that it is easy to see. The knob is easy to move. And the skillet works very well.

What I wanted was a pot that would simmer. Not boil, but simmer. Yes, the heat goes on and off, but I could set the temperature and walk away from the skillet and know that nothing was going to burn. It would bring the food just barely up to boil and turn off again holding the food at reasonable temperatures for long enough for it to cook properly. That was what I wanted and what I got.

The first thing I did with the skillet was brown some onions and peppers and then the chicken I was cooking. The browning went very well and took only a small amount of time. Things cooked evenly as well.

Recommended.

Paula Deen Signature Porcelain 12-Piece Cookware Set, Butter

Paula Deen Signature Porcelain 12-Piece Cookware Set, ButterI Loved the color of the pans. I love that they all had lids. The only reason I did not give these pans a 5 star is because I do not know what happened to my medium sized pot, but it bent, my lid does not fit on it now, I didn't drop the pan, It was fine when I first cooked with it, my second use of the item I noticed it was bent, maybe it was during my cleaning, but it is very sad because now the lid does not fit on correctly. It would also be awesome if there was a lid for the smaller cooking pan. Other than that, I love this set! But I did notice it was alot cheaper at Wal-Mart after I purchased them online, and that was also disappointing, and I mean almost $30 cheaper. But the set, I like it alot.

It's been 6 months and I LOVE LOVE LOVE these pans. I read reviews that they can't handle the dishwasher and I can't say if they do since I hand wash all my pans and plastic. I also read reviews that the color wipes off even when had washed but I wanted the color so much I took the risk and the color has lasted easily. In fact one time I need to use soft scrub on the outside of the pan from an over flow that cooked on and I was careful at first but quickly realized the color doesn't come as easily as some reviews I read. The non stick has lasted too but I do put a cloth between the pans so when stacked the metal doesn't harm the non-stick. They're a joy to cook in.

I received a set of 2 skillets from my son for Christmas so I decided to buy the entire set to replace my very well used set of T-fal cookware. I normally won't consider the purchase of cookware that is not dishwasher safe, but this set is easily cleaned with soapy water.I like the ceramic coating on the outside of the pans and the yellow colors are very attractive. This cookware is lighter than some I have had in the past and I have found they tend to slide on the cooking surface. One skillet has a chip in the ceramic coating and I am concerned this can be a problem with the set in the future. The set includes a very nice chicken fryer and a small sauce pan that is perfect for a can of vegtables or a can of soup.I like the rubber coated handles and the clear glass lids. I do recommend this set, expecially at this price.

All-Clad Stainless 7-1/2-Inch Nonstick French Skillet

All-Clad Stainless 7-1/2-Inch Nonstick French SkilletThis skillet is not ready for prime time and not up to par with other All-Clad skillets. It is very lightweight which makes it feel like a cheap bargain-basement purchase, not something that costs $60.00. The handle on this skillet is the worst I have ever seen. It is extremely uncomfortable to hold unlike other All-Clad handles. The upper edges are so thin they feel as if they could cut into the hand. The customer service rep at All-Clad told me all of their French skillets have the same handle so that means I will not be buying more.

We got this pan in July (6 months before this review) and we've been using it more or less non-stop since then.It works very nicely on our ceramic, smooth-topped electric range and has held up through many rides in the dishwasher. Not a mark on the non-stick interior yet.The handle hasn't struck me as much, if at all, different than the many other All-Clad pots and pans that I've got.

The pan is a bit lighter than the 8 inch regular non-stick stainless skillet but holds its heat quite well.It was a good price versus the 8 inch skillet, too.

Circulon Symmetry Chocolate Hard Anodized 12" Covered Stir Fry Ultimate Pan

Circulon Symmetry Chocolate Hard Anodized 12' Covered Stir Fry Ultimate PanWe purchased the Symmetry eleven piece cookware set plus this piece to replace our old mismatched cookware that we have had for years.I can only say that we are not only pleased with the quality of Symmetry but also how well it preforms. The cookware is thick hard anodised aluminum, which is actually harder than steel and conducts heat much better.Thicker means better heat distribution and no "hot spots".The non stick is a three layer coating called Autograph 2,it is one of the newest and best available. It can be cleaned in the dishwasher or simply wiped clean, which is what we do. The coating is tough enough that metal utensils can be used--we still use non scratch as most of ours were used on the older pieces of cookware.

Stir fry is a favorite of ours so this pan gets used a lot.Have found that we do not need the high heat as much as in the older pan, and that because of the thick construction the heat is more even from the bottom and up the sides.I need to also mention that sometimes we use a portable induction burner and all of the Symmetry pieces work fine including the Stir Fry pan.

The glass lid makes this piece useful for a lot more than stir fry--have a small rack that fits in the bottom of the pan that makes it great for steaming. This piece is a wonderful addition to the set and one that gets used a lot in our kitchen.

Just an afterthought:Fried eggs in the eight inch pan, no oil, no spray etc. they slid out onto the plate with no help--the best non-stick ever!

My daughter and I don't know how we managed without this pan. It is light weight and easy to use. The lid is great

but it does steam up so we can't see the cooking food. Other than that, this pan is perfection..

i bought this item separately from my 13-piece Hard-anodized Cookware Set Chocolate Stainless Steel Base (unfortunately, it wasn't included in the set). The cookware set in itself is amazing and I have to also say that this separate piece was equally amazing. I'm so satisfied that I made this separate purchase. It is an easy cleanup and such great quality. I really have no complaints.

George Foreman GFP84GP Evolve Grill 84-Square Inch Shallow Griddle Accessory Pan

George Foreman GFP84GP Evolve Grill 84-Square Inch Shallow Griddle Accessory PanI got this for model number GRP92R, which is not listed as a fit in the description.I got out the tape measure and since it was the exact size of my grill's plates, I took the chance and ordered it and it's an exact fit.I'm tell this because some like me, may over look this because your model number is not listed as a fit. Also, you can order this directly from the George Forman website for half the price. This will turn my GF grill into a mini griddle where you can fry things like eggs and bacon that is awkward with the factory plates. Also pancakes, omelets and the such.

I bought this product because our other George Foreman needed to be replaced.I found this product on line and thought I should give it a try.To my surprise--we use this little kitchen marvel a lot!I love the waffel grill plates.

Its fast becoming our Sunday treat!

It is easy to clean and takes up very little storage space in our apartment.

Yoshi Blue 8 Piece Cookware As Seen On TV Frying Pan

Yoshi Blue 8 Piece Cookware As Seen On TV Frying PanWorst buying experience I have ever had with Amazon.Pans are cheaply made in China and very thin. The box arrived undamaged but as soon as we opened it we found the first lid we took out to have a broken knob due to being overtightened at the manufacturer. The internal threaded portion was shattered beyond repair. In an attempt to avoid returning the entire set, I sent a message describing the damage and requesting a replacement knob rather than returning the whole set.Amazon referred the request to the "AsSeenOnTVGuys" who are the sellers of this item. The next communication I got was a message from Amazon saying my request to return the damaged merchandise was cancelled by the purchaser. That thoroughly angered my since I had certainly not cancelled any request.I responded accordingly. That got a message from the seller that they couldn't provide the knob.So I requested an authorization to return the product entirely and abandon the purchase. This request was granted provided I paid the return postage and/or a 30% restocking fee.

I have since purchased a set of four generic knobs for $4.00 to replace all of the knobs and given up on trying to get any satisfactory resolution to this miserable purchase.I am an Amazon Prime member and expected better than I got from this supplier or Amazon.I strongly suggest that anyone considering purchase of this product not do so.The product is inferior and the seller does not support their customer.

I purchased the pan at Walmart. I directly went home with it, got out the eggs and a teaspoon of butter andwent to town. It was better than the commercial! I then cleaned it with a paper towel, and it was just as the commercial said. My next experiment was to see how it cooked hamburgers. The meat browned up beautifully! I am so thrilled with this, I ordered the full set for myself for Christmas. I'll post my experiences as I cook with it.

My mother bought us a single frying pan of this set from Walmart some time back. I didn't even use it until recently, but once I did I became a believer... This cookware is simply amazing! I can cook anything I want in these pans without it sticking or burning! After a few uses my wife and I loved it so much we bought the whole set for Christmas. I can brown potatoes without the burning on the bottom of the pan like normal steel pans, I can cook butter, meat, eggs, even marshmallows and the cleanup is just as easy every time. I spend no more than a minute (usually 15 seconds) cleaning these pans after a meal. It's just that easy! I highly recommend this product to anyone who enjoys cooking. These will make your experience so much better, and the blue pans add some visual appeal to your masterpiece which is fun! 5 stars!!!

These pans are great! I like them much better than the Orgreenic pan I bought. The non-stick works as advertised and they wash up easily. The cooking heat is evenly distributed, too.
