GreenPan Stockholm Sauté Pan - 11" - Non-stick

GreenPan Stockholm Sauté Pan - 11' - Non-stickAbsolutely amazing non-stick. Buy one of those silicon pancake turners to go along with this. Not even crushed garlic sticks to this thing. A little jostle and it starts sliding around. Even water beads up in here when it's completely clean. I guess this is the next generation of non-stick. It works much better than teflon. Whether it lasts as long I cannot say, since I've only had this for 3 months. But we use it 3 or 4 times per week. We have one of those below-the glass heating element ranges, and this works perfectly on the front 10" burners. Because of the non-stick, cleaning is easy too. By the time you rinse out big particles, it appears spotless. I love it.

I got this pan at Home Goods for $29.99, with bluish-gray exterior. It also came with a stainless steel (fairly flat) lid, but I don't know if what's sold here includes that. It is very solid. The handle is sturdy, and bolted all the way through the pan, as opposed to tack-welded on like many others). I don't think I would have paid $150 for it, but for $30 it's an amazing deal.

The Camp Chef SK-4 Cast Iron Skillet, 4 Inch Diameter

The Camp Chef SK-4 Cast Iron Skillet, 4 Inch DiameterI use it all the time to make one egg.Once it's seasoned it never sticks. While cooking my egg I put another small cast iron pan upside down on top and my egg cooks perfectly. The egg comes out perfectly round and is great for putting in an English muffin with Canadian bacon and a slice of cheese.Yum!

Pros: Easily concealed, oddly strange, small..

Cons: The raised stuff on the bottom makes this an impractical pan for real cooking.

On the plus side it is very fun to hide at friends houses until they find it.Thus the pro's for easily concealed.

Nonstick Frying Pan Set - Style 37435

Nonstick Frying Pan Set - Style 37435You cannot expect a lot for $10.00.The pans are well made, but the nons-stick surface is cheap and thin. These pans would be top notch if they had a better non-stick surface. The pans are actually well constructed and made of heavy gauge metal. It is too bad to ruin an otherwise excellent product by applying such a cheap and thin non-stick coating.

$18.00 FOR THREE NON STICK FRY PANS.I GOT WHAT I PAID FOR. CHEAPLY MADE.EVERYTHING STICKS TO IT. AFTER ONE USE TEFLON BEGAN TO SCRATCH OFF EVEN WITH PLASTIC UTENSILS. I HAD HOPED TO GET A YEARS WORTH OF USE OUT OF THEM, WILL BE LUCKY TO GET THREE MONTHS.

Cuisinart Chef's Classic Cookware Universal Pot Rack Hooks, Set of 6

Cuisinart CRUH-6 Chef's Classic Cookware Universal Pot Rack Hooks, Brushed Stainless, Set of 6One of the great things about Amazon is the abundance of consumer product reviews. One of the poor things about Amazon is the frequent scant product descriptions. I place a lot of value on what the reviews state, which often add the missing details.

These are versatile hooks that can attach to a flat bar or wire style rack since the rack attachment end is tapered to an opening of 1/2 inch. The hook end opening is one inch. They are 5 inches in length. The product description does not state what the material is; it merely suggests stainless steel.

The ones I recently received are polished stainless steel and are 0.2" in diameter. The quality is excellent.

The Cuisinart Universal Pot Rack Hooks are a very well made product. I use them on a "wire" type rack (similar to the middle picture on the product link) and they fit nicely.

I also value good product descriptions, and find most lacking in detail.Customer reviews are often helpful in filling in these details. The following information would have been helpful to me:

Cuisinart Model # CRUH-6

#7 wire guage

Stainless Steel

5 inches in length

Pot hook end opening is 1 inch wide at top, 1 inch deep, 1/2 inch at bottom, 45 degree left twist

Hanger end opening is 1/2 inch at top, 1 3/4 inch deep and 1/4 inch at bottom

Both ends are finished with a round over

Buy Cuisinart Chef's Classic Cookware Universal Pot Rack Hooks, Set of 6 Now

As advertised, these hooks can hang just about any pot , skillet or utensil.I purchased a chrome "bakers rack" and wanted to hang some pots and pans on it.These guys do a good job at that task, a ten inch cast iron skillet is no problem for one of these bad boys. The smaller hook fits just as easily over one of the thin rods in the shelf or thicker rod about the perimeter.

I first thought them to be pricey for just a bent metal rod.

when you hang these hooks you will notice that the hook part is purposely angled at about a 30 degree angle, so when you hang stuff on the hooks, the stuff is angled too, and not knocking into and bumping against the other stuff on hooks, kind of like parking at an angle in order to maximize on limited real estate.

you can't tell from the picture, but this product has a brown plastic coating over part of the hook which detracts aesthetically from our pot rack.

WearEver Pure Living Nonstick Ceramic Coating PTFE-PFOA-Cadmium Free Dishwasher Safe Saute Pan/Fry

WearEver C9440774 Pure Living Nonstick Ceramic Coating PTFE-PFOA-Cadmium Free Dishwasher Safe 12-Inch Saute Pan / Fry Pan Cookware, Champagne Gold5 Star Rating because:

It actually is non-stick

Not outrageously priced like other leading non-stick pans

Ease of cleaning

************************************************

I was told about ceramic frying pans by my friend, and was skeptical at first."How can a ceramic pan be non-stick?"Did some research on the net and came across this pan, and decided to give it a try after reading some reviews.

My 10 year-old son loves making eggs in the morning, and he swears by this pan. It's also reasurring to know that this product is PTFE PFOA cadomium free, especially when you're feeding the food to your children.

This product does what it's supposed to do cook food without sticking to it, takes very little effort to clean and it actually looks nice.It is a LOT MORE AFFORDABLE than other leading non-stick pans like Scanpans, which often receive 'less than ideal' reviews over the company's customer service quality.

I'll be buying other products from WearEver to see whether they're as good as this one.

I have delayed review to see how these would last and so far I believe it is about 6 months they are terrific. They are really easy to clean and as of yet I have not found anything that has ruined the cooking surface. With regular non stick there are many foods (honey or maple) ham, turkey etc that will RUIN there surfaces. To date this has not been the case. No sticky parts.

I prefer cast iron but if you want a good non stick that doesn't require weight lifting these rock!

Most of my cookware is either Calphalon (non-stick) or Cuisinart (stainless). A 10" skillet is my daily "go to" pan. I have larger and smaller but I really needed another 10" one for omelettes and the like. I was about to buy another Calphalon when I read a very positive review of the Pure Living pan on Tasting Table, saw that the price was right on Amazon, and ordered one. I absolutely love it! It is used at least once a day for sauteing fish, chicken or vegetables and is a dream for eggs. Classic French omelettes are easily folded and slide right out onto the plate.

In addition, cleanup couldn't be easier. Once it has cooled, I simply wipe it out with a paper towel, finish with a soapy sponge, and towel dry. It looks just as good as it did on day one.

I should point out that the Amazon description is misleading in two respects. It states: "Soft touch and ergonomic silicone riveted handle, sear and deglaze with ease, cook at high temperature (up to 750-degree f)." That 750 ºF rating is for the ceramic coating only, not the entire pan. WearEver's site explains that the product is "Oven safe to 350 ºF if handles have any silicone or phenolic parts." Amazon's description further states, "...safe for all cooking methods except induction." What WearEver says is "...safe for all cooking SURFACES(except induction)." The emphasis on "surfaces" is mine. All cooking "methods" would include broiler use for which it is not suitable because of the silicone handle.

Do those differences detract from the product in my view? No, not at all. For range top use it is the best non-stick pan I have ever used. The fact that it is a bargain, makes it even better.

I'd been looking for a new frying pan, which I use 95% of the time to make eggs in the morning.I've had previous T-Fal pans and they generally do well for some period of time until they get gunked up and the coating seems to wear off.I'd never had a ceramic pan and the reviews of this one were good so I decided to give it a try.

Its a beautiful pan when it comes. When cooking with it it gives off an odd smell for the first week or 2 of use.Not a big deal.It was initially nice and easy to clean as all new pans are.I followed the directions I seasoned it as the packaging says.I always let it cool before cleaning it, etc. However, after just 1 week of use there is cooking spray residue stuck on the pan that will not come off no matter how hard I scrub. From the beginning, the pan isn't nearly as "slippery" as the normal T-fal's that I've always used. And, for what its worth, with the white finish on the pan it now looks hideous with yellow/brown residue caked up along the sides.

I'd return it if I hadn't thrown the large box out, but I seem to be otherwise stuck with it.

Lodge Logic L5MS3 Mini Skillet, 5-inch

Lodge Logic L5MS3 Mini Skillet, 5-inchLove this American made cast iron skillet for one or two eggs.I make "Egg McMuffins" with this. It's also a great size to make a little frittata. Whatever you make will fit into a muffin or sandwich bread.I plan to make individual corn bread. I'm thinking of more things to make...I'm addicted!

I would advise everyone to buy the lid, that way things cook more evenly top and bottom.

The only thing is that I think you should still season it even though it says it's pre-seasoned.I had things stick so pre-season or use enough oil to prevent sticking.

A lot smaller than expected. 5" is for the top of it, but with the angled sides, the actual bottom is only 3.5".

Buy Lodge Logic L5MS3 Mini Skillet, 5-inch Now

This skillet is very small; You won't be able to cook much in it.The one advantage, is that it's perfectly shaped to make an egg for a breakfast sandwich, when used with the lid.Besides that, you could toast spices, melt butter, make an individual brownie, or reheat a single biscuit.

I respectfully disagree about being able to make a grilled cheese sandwich in this. You can't; It's too small.

I tried cooking 3 sausage links with this.Due to the small size, they ended up "deep frying" in their own grease, which I don't like.I'd recommend the 8 inch skillet for that purpose.

I was able to find another good use; roasting garlic cloves on the stovetop, using the lid.Peel the cloves, add olive oil, and cook for an hour or more on very low heat.

My conclusion is, if you want to roast garlic or make perfectly shaped eggs for breakfast sandwiches, get this skillet, and be sure to also purchase the lid for even top/bottom heating!Otherwise, get the 6 inch round, or 5 inch square wonder skillet, which actually has more cooking area and you CAN cook a grilled cheese sandwich.I wish Lodge made a lid for those!

I found another use for this skillet today. There was a recipe that called for a 1/2 egg.So what to do with the other half?Cook it in this skillet and give it to the dog as a treat.Similarly, what do you do when your package of steak includes a very tiny strip, too small for the grill?Cook it in this skillet for the dog.

I recently went on a cast iron binge, to replace all of my aging non-stick teflon pots and pans. Bought a bunch of Lodge cast iron, including this Lodge Logic 5 inch mini skillet.

I wanted something that I could melt butter in on the stove, or cook a single egg in, and use for other really tiny jobs. I looked at the 14 oz melting pot, but based on feedback, it didn't sound like it would sit very well on my electric stove. So, I opted for this, along with the 5 inch lid.

It's great. I've used it to melt butter for making pancakes, etc., rather than nuking it in the microwave. It works great for cooking a single egg. Note: if you haven't mastered flipping an egg without a spatula, restaurant-style, you might hate trying to fry an egg in it. It might be be nigh unto impossible to get a spatula under the egg.

These would also be great as individual serving "dishes". I am planning to buy a couple more for that purpose. I am also going to take this camping with me in a week. It's perfect for those little oddball things. It would make a great spoon rest, too.

But note....it is REALLY small. I believe someone else pointed out that the 5 inches is the measurement across the top. It is about 3.25 to 3.5 across the bottom. It's smaller than you think. If you need to cook two eggs, or want to fry a single hamburger, you want something larger.

Did I mention that it is VERY cute? It would make a cool decorative item for a cabin or rustic/country kitchen. I am quite entertained by it. :)

I specifically purchased these skillets for the purpose of making the half-baked cookie desserts, Pizookies (if you have never heard of that, you are missing out!

Seriously, Pizookies are absolutely the best dessert ever and these skillets cook them perfectly!I plan to purchase more so that I can entertain larger parties. The way I like to make these is to just make plain cookie dough, and then set out chips and nuts for people to build their own. Then I bake them at 475 degrees for about 6-8 minutes and then serve with a scoop of ice cream on top (also, you might want to serve the actual skillet on a plate with a pot holder over the handle for obvious reasons).

These skillets really are a perfect size for the dessert and I've used them about dozen times now with no signs of degrading whatsoever (although, I'm careful to follow the cleaning instructions).

Farberware Classic 12 Covered Frying Pan

Farberware Classic 12 Covered Frying PanThis skillet is quite large and excellent quality materials. The skillet is larger than I expected to be of practical use as it is humongous! One should view this skillet in person before purchasing because it dwarfs the size of the largest burner and will rarely get any use. Consider a 11" skillet as the largest suitable skillet for practical use, even for a family of 8 or 10 people. I will still keep my new 12" skillet because I like the lid which fits fine over my 11" skillet that did not come with a cover. I believe it is a Mirro brand. I would NOT recommend this skillet because it is just TOO BIG to be of practical use for even the largest of families. Just being honest, so please look at this skillet before buying or it will just be sitting on your shelf.

Lodge Logic Pre-Seasoned Skillet

Lodge Logic L10SK3 12-Inch Pre-Seasoned SkilletI own several Lodge cast iron products and use them everyday. I have 3 teeneage boys that enjoy cooking, and after they destroyed a few teflon coated pans, I decided I would go heavy into cast iron. These pans are indestructible. You can use them in the oven or stovetop, and if you keep it seasoned properly food will not stick. Also, to avoid sticking problems, you may want to remember to allow the pan to get hot before applying oil or food.

As to seasoning, the Logic line now comes preseasoned. But don't make a big deal about this. To season a cast iron skillet simply coat it lightly with oil and bake it for a half hour or so. I have also seasoned these skillets on the stovetop. Cast iron is also great because it does not easily scrap like stainless steel and aluminum pots. Aluminum pans are painful to me, as my teeth fillings react to the aluminum. With cast iron, you won't have this problem. I also take my Lodge pan camping and set it right over the coals to cook. No melted handles or scorched bottoms to mess with.

Let me start by saying we have a kitchen full of 20+ pieces of Calphalon Hard Annodized Commercial cookware. I was always of the opinion that quality cookware carried a price that was justified by the performace of the cookware. So I thought if I wanted cast iron I should look at LeCreuset... wrong! Lodge blew that theory out the window! I can't express how well this simple pan works. Let it get hot and it will hold the temp like nothing else, oven to cooktop. I finally decided to get a good cast iron skillet after hearing Alton Brown (Host of Good Eats ...TV Food Network ...) rave about cast iron for the last few years. He steared me to Lodge, Lodge's web site (lodgemgf.com) told me about the pre-seasoned "Logic" line. This stuff makes cast iron simple. No messing around with seasoning a new pan. Simple care instructions. And clear instructions to reseason should the need occur. At the price these pans sell, there is no excuse to not have one, (or more) in your kitchen. It will soon become your favorite pan. I bought a 5 quart Lodge Logic Dutch Oven at the same time and it is fantastic as well!

After waiting a month to get the thing because it was back-ordered, I FINALLY got to try out my skillet. I love this thing! Most of my cookware is garden-variety non-stick and hardly suited to things like searing steaks or fajita meat.

You can run this pan as hot as you dare without hurting it works great for steaks, and makes an awesome cheese steak. The pre-seasoned coating works as advertised, and the cast iron gives good heat transfer and VERY even heat across the entire pan. I think I'm going to be using this skillet A LOT.

A handy suggestion regarding cleaning that I stumbled across on another website... be SURE to use a hot pad while doing this! Immediately after cooking, fill the pan with HOT water (not cold; you could crack it!), put it on high heat, and bring the water to a rolling boil... this will lift debris off the pan bottom. Dump the water and immediately wipe dry with a paper towel, set on the (turned-off) burner briefly to dry completely, and wipe the cooking surfaces with oil.

Another note want those steaks well-done but juicy?Buy the Lodge Logic 5-qt Dutch oven; the lid fits this skillet!Sear both sides of the steak on medium-high (about 3 min each), then flip, reduce the heat to medium, cover, and cook as desired, flipping the steak once along the way (about 5 minutes per side for a small, well-done filet mignon).Your cooking times may vary, but the combo of cast-iron skillet for searing and lid to keep things moist while cooking works exquisitely.Brown, not black, outside... and tender inside.

I own three pieces of cast iron cookware, and this item is one of them... and among my favorite cooking implements, period. In fact, I use this skillet most of all, and it doesn't even have a place in a cabinet!I keep it on the stove permanently, for that is how often I use it.

Beware that cast iron is not a quickie-cooking component (it takes time for the iron to heat, and it takes experience to gauge the iron's "perfect temperature" for sensitive dishes), but for dishes requiring steady, even heat and for cooks who require durable cookware with easy clean-up, cast iron CANNOT be beat!

This skillet is going to last forever. Its care is easy: I scrub it with hot water only, and dry it with an old rag and apply a thin layer of vegetable oil while the iron is still hot... a year and a half later, it's still rust-free and delivering the reliable service I have come to expect and admire. No scratches interfere with its performance, as is the case with my allegedly-long-lasting Wearever nonstick cookware set (what a waste of money THAT was!).Heck, I even use my cast-iron skillet for CREPES, and that's saying something!Despite the pan's weight, it's an immeasurably better nonstick crepe-cooker than teflon. In fact, I use my cast iron cookware for everything from french fries to spaghetti sauce to eggs and bacon to french toast! It's a dependable griddle, skillet, grill, and pot, and it goes right from the stovetop and into the oven for maximum versatility.

I am an avid home-chef, and I can say without exception that my cast-iron cookware is the best kitchen investment I've ever made.

All Clad Stainless Steel Non-Stick Fry Pan

All Clad Stainless Steel 12-Inch Non-Stick Fry Pansuspicious of non-stick surfaces since the first pans appeared on the market, my only experience was with $20 pans with screw-on handles.you know the type.i converted all my pots and pans to all-clad and viking when i moved in 2000 and left non-stick pans in the trash.but.but last year i got an all-clad non-stick pan and i am now a convert.it is a joy to cook with and is as easy to clean as the dinner plates (i do it all by hand).

after reading these reviews i felt compelled to respond.reading about pans and surface coatings i learned that non-stick surfaces are designed to get hot as 500 degrees before they degrade.in fact, the surface material actually "off gasses" before you see the material degradation.

to enjoy the pan the way it was intended do not use it in high temperature situations.if you are going to sear, then oven broil chicken, for instance, use a traditional pan.if you are sauteing onions and vegetables, reducing a stock, or doing a stirfry, use the non-stick.

these are pricy, i know, so if you can afford only one, get the regular surface (which cooks have been using forever) and you will have a pan you can give to your grandkids.

**update**

this pan lasted me 5 years before i gave it away.it is definitely no longer non-stick and requires gobs of butter or oil to do its task.since i already have a traditional surface with the All-Clad 51125 All Clad Stainless-Steel 12-Inch Fry Pan with Lid and a non-stick equivalent with Lodge Logic L8SK3 10-1/4-Inch Pre-Seasoned Skillet, i don't need this non-stick pan cluttering up the kitchen.

reduced from 5 stars to 3 stars.i still love all-clad, but i will not buy expensive non-stick pans again.

People! If you're going to buy expensive non-stick pans learn the basics on how to maintain them!Read the user directions!!You should not use high heat on ANY non-stick!Using high heat voids the All-Clad warranty!High heat also eventually compromises non-stick surfaces. You should not use aerosol spray oils in non-stick as it ruins the non-stick coating.Use only utensils made to use with non-stick pots and pans.Never put very cold food in a hot pot or pan.You should not clean non-stick in dishwashers hand wash with Bon Ami and a plastic mesh scrubber. Bon Ami (or similar) also works best on All-Clad stainless.Hard-anodized pots and pans are not dishwasher safe, no matter what the brand.I can boil water in my All-Clad pots on Medium! It IS possible to brown foods in non-stick pans.I have an All-Clad non-stick grill pan (has ridges in the bottom) and I can brown sliced potatoes in it AND bacon doesn't curl when fried in it! If you want to cook as you want and abuse the pans, buy the cheap stuff and quit complaining!!I work for one of the three major top brands (not All-Clad!), so you can take all this info for what you think it's worth.All-Clad, Anolon and Calphalon cookware are investment-type purchases.Treat them as such!

I received my All-Clad set when I got married in 2001.In general I have been very happy with this pan.It cooks great and has been through a lot of use over the past six years.

On the down side the pan is a bit heavy and the handle can get hot toward the base.As a result whenever I am cooking a 1.5lb of ground beef I need to use a pot holder to grab near the bottom of the handle so I can drain it.

The other draw back that I have recently noticed is the non-stick seal isnot what it once was.I am very careful with the cleaning, high-heat, and utensils. However, food has been sticking on the pan for the past year and is getting worse.

Since All-Clad is all about durability I expect better.

On Sundays, I cook my lunches and dinners for the entire week. This is my new Sunday fish and seafood pan!Soon, it will become my new breakfast pan when I have to feed the six people staying with me for my family reunion.

The nonstick finish is great. I haven't had any problems with it. I like the fact that I can get the All-Clad even heat technology with a non-stick surface. Because of the non-stick surface, the pan is not dishwasher safe. However, it's so easy to clean that you don't even think about it.

Caring for nonstick

To avoid damaging the coating, you should always heat the pan with oil. The oil will smoke before the pan gets too hot to do any damage. Do not use nonstick spay with nonstick cookware. The droplets are so fine that they can form a brown film on the finish over time.

When a plan losses its nonstick properties, All-Clad suggests cleaning with a paste of baking soda and water. If the baking soda doesn't turn brown, switch to Bar Keeper's Friend and water. Always scrub with something made for nonstick cookeware.

Enjoy! This pan is big enough to feed a crowd!

Magnalite Classic 8-Piece Aluminum Cookware Set

Magnalite Classic 8-Piece Aluminum Cookware SetMy mom got this as a wedding present in the early 1940's.She was never a good cook, so I have been using it since the '60's.I stole some of her pieces when I married, but returned them when I found them for sale again.I purchased my first piece, a chicken frier, for about $25.00 in 1970, which was a huge price back then, and couldn't wait to get my hands on more.I bought a starter set of 8 pieces a few years later when I finally saw it again, and it forms the basis of my extensive cookware collection.I have been called the "Greatest cooker on earth" by many men, and I attribute some of the praise to this cookware.

This is heavy cast aluminum, with the same heat dispersal properties of cast iron, except that it can be washed and scrubbed.I polish mine from time to time, and it still looks new! It can be placed in the dishwasher, unlike cast iron. The cooking qualities are exceptional.Heat is disbursed over the entire bottom and sides of the pans, allowing a lower heat setting, and giving a more consistent heat to all the food within. There are no hot spots, which scorch the food and cause uneven browning or burning. The lids are heavy enough to seal the steam in the pots, which forms a mini-pressure cooker, cutting down on the cooking time a bit. They will not warp if overheated, which is important if you use electric heat.I mean, who hasn't lost track of time and let a pot burn now and then?It happens in a busy kitchen. But this isn't a catastrophe as it would be with cheaper cookware.I have added a few smaller pots as my family size has been reduced, but I cannnot conceive why anyone would want some of this designer/celebrity cookware with the raised rings that could never be scrubbed clean in a thousand hours!Just be sure you season the cookware in a slow oven first. (Wipe with cooking oil inside, including the lids, and bake all of it in a 225 degree oven for about 8 hours.)Reseason as necessary.Buy as much of it as you can afford, and add to it as the time and money allow.I use the heavy cast aluminum teflon skillets, and have gone through dozens of sets of those!YOu can't beat the Magnalite for delicate sauces, rice, and stews, or anything fried!

The originals were made in USA I almost bought a new set intil I realized these are not the same materials or sizes.

Peter Pike, President of American Culinary Corp., states he purchased the Magnalite and Wagner brands and original molds, and is the only source for parts that fit the original Magnalite pans. We are anxiously waiting for manufactured pans and parts to become readily available once again.

There apparently exists a dispute between American Culinary and World Kitchen (formerly Corningware) regarding the use of the Magnalite brand name. World Kitchen has been manufacturing some cast aluminum pans in China under the brand name of Magnalite ( which look like the original Magnalite but are of different materials and sizes). These are currently available at many WalMart, Sam's Club and Corning factory outlet stores at discount prices. Also available directly from World Kitchen at full price.

Magnalite parts from World Kitchen do NOT fit the original Magnalite made in the USA.

My mother has used Magnalite professional for 20+ years now and it's still as good as the day she got it.Magnalite classic is completely different, and apparently fussy to care for.

If you read comments and do your research, you'll find that this is *not* the original Magnalite formula. The way I understand it, one company (World Kitchen) owns the name "Magnalite", and a separate company (American Culinary) owns the formula to both the classic and professional materials. This "Magnalite Classic" is manufactured in China, and doesn't live up to many of its claims.

I was excited to receive this set as a wedding gift because my mother's set of Magnalite Pro is decades old and fantastic.Nothing has ever stuck to her pots and pans, and it's convenient to be able to wash them in the dishwasher.I noticed this was different because it was heavier, but a glance at the care guide didn't seem to indicate anything odd.It was interesting that the instructions claimed I *might* have to season it if food stuck to it.Boy, did it ever.I tried frying some breakfast sausage and had to scrape the patties off of the skillet; it's still got round stains where each sausage laid.My wife decided maybe I did something wrong and cooked some soup in the saucepan; now the entire saucepan is stained from the soup.

Nowhere in the care instructions was it mentioned *how* you should season the cookware.Nowhere on the manufacturer's web site does it explain how you should season the cookware.I immediately emailed the manufacturer about my negative experience and asked for instructions for seasoning the cookware. That was a year ago, and I never heard back.I'm about to try seasoning it like a cast iron skillet; if it damages it I won't be any worse off than I already am.I see a reviewer has left instructions to use a low heat for 8 hours; should I have to turn to Amazon.com for instructions? Can I trust this reviewer?

I'm sure the cast aluminum is really good; our apartment stove is cruddy and the elements are uneven. This heavy cookware would do wonders for us if food didn't stick to it like gum to shoes.I am unable to use it because the manufacturer does not include adequate care instructions and obviously has no desire to resolve issues with customers.

I'd strongly recommend looking for American Culinary's professional line if you're looking for cookware like this.It seems comparable in price, and looks exactly like my mother's Magnalite professional (down to the lids.)I would not recommend this Magnalite Classic to anyone, unless somehow the manufacturer decides to bless us with information about how to properly care for it.

My mother used Magnalite cookware for many, many years and I always wanted my own set. I have been using odds and end pieces I have acquired over the years. This cookware will never wear out and it cooks your food so well.I wouldn't cook with anything else.

This product is made in China. But side by side with the original Magnalite, they look the same. Really great to be able to add to my original set, which I have been using for 40 years!

Chef's Secret 3 Piece Aluminum Fry Pan Set

Chef's Secret 3 Piece Aluminum Fry Pan SetOverall these are terrific pans built to sturdy professional quality standards. However, I was disappointed because the handles are not at all as pictured. My wife wanted something she could put in the oven when needed, and these aluminum pans were supposed to fit that need.Instead, the handles have molded-on black rubber grips. The instructions that come with this set specifically warn against putting the pans in the oven.

At $25 these professional grade pans are great for frying, just not oven worthy.

Awesome sized pans. Great quality. All you need to do is season them. Amazons extra box items are shipped in prevents damage

Titanium Nowo Non-Stick Crepe Pan Size: 11-in.

Titanium Nowo Non-Stick Crepe Pan Size: 11-in.I love this pan which I use for crepes and omelettes. A very good investment worth the money. I wanted a titanium pan because it's a natural material unlike Teflon. It's a German product, the quality is there! It is an excellent conductor and allows me to make beautiful crepes!

All-Clad Stainless-Steel Splatter Screen

All-Clad Stainless-Steel Splatter ScreenThe screen is a heavy duty screen, just what I wanted. But the handle sits at an angle... If you set the screen on the counter the handle is up off the counter by a few inches. So plan on having a place to put it with this in mind...

I love this splatter screen!I love the handle and the small holes that keep the grease from splattering (which is its job). Also love the lip around the edge that keeps it from sliding off the pan. I have not used it on a small frying pan because of it's size.Good for a average/reg. size frying pans.

T-fal E6080862 Ultimate Nonstick Hard Enamel 12.5-Inch Fry Pan / Saute Pan, Black

T-fal E6080862 Ultimate Nonstick Hard Enamel 12.5-Inch Fry Pan / Saute Pan, BlackThe coating seems quite sturdy. Nothing has stuck to the pan yet. I've used it for about two months now. All in all, a great pan. Don't turn the heat too high, medium heat only and this should last a long time. I am very pleased with this purchase!

Buy it! You won't be sorry! By the way, this is a large pan and even my larger burners don't cover the bottom. I hope this review is helpful to someone.

Not much to say about this product other than:

Food releases perfectly.

Pan browns better than any non-stick I've ever used.

Can use metal utensils.

Dishwasher safe.

Red dot in the middle tells you when your pan is hot enough.

This is the best pan i ever had. the non stick surface is very rough and doe snot mind metal objects to be used. I barely use any butter/oil anymore, because the food just does not stick to it!

I am not usually a nonstick pan person.I needed one for certain dishes so I went to my favorite resource, Cooks Illustrated. They recommended T-Fal Professional Total Nonstick Fry Pan but it was back-ordered so I went with this version.I've had it for a couple of weeks and have been very satisfied.I used it to make a healthy stir fry and it handled that task much better than my Le Creuset skillet. It allowed the meat and veggies to move easily in the pan while still allowing a nice browning and slight crust on the meat.It will never replace the traditional Le Creuset for me, but it is a great addition to the collection and performs well when nonstick is necessary.According to CI, certain T-Fal models also out-perform much more expensive models.I recommend this to anyone looking for a nonstick skillet.

First T-Fal enamel cookware pan.Have had it almost a year now and still no scratches, even after using metal tongs. The pan is heavier than you expect and this size is pretty large.I use it to stir fry, cook eggs, brown cuts of meat or fish and finish them off in the oven and especially for making pasta sauce and adding pasta and finishing it all off in the pan.I would definitely buy this again over their cheaper lines. The heft and construction quality is really nice. The fact that it is oven-safe is even better.Cleans up well too.

All-Clad Stainless All-Purpose Pan with Domed Lid

All-Clad Stainless All-Purpose Pan with Domed LidCheck carefully before buying from All-Clad.

Many of their items are now being produced in China & quality has suffered.

I ordered a piece which Amazon's description said was made in the USA.

I called the company & they said ALL the braisers are now made in China but the quality is just as good.

NO......IT IS NOT!

The 3 ply is only on the bottom & does NOT go up the sides.

They are lighter in weight.

They are NOT usable on Induction Burners.

YES.....they are a bit lower in price....BUT STILL EXPENSIVE.

What bothers me is that All-Clad is being less than forthright in informing consumers

of their MADE IN CHINA merchandise.

I ordered an All-Clad fry pan and was hooked on All-Clad stainless ever since.I finally realized it wasn't me but the cheap pans I had been using. And I've bought 5 different ones within the last year. But this pan doesn't compare.Actually its quite awful in my opinion. Its extremely light weight (almost cheap) and thin compared to the fry pans, french skillets, and saucepans I have. The lid to my saucepan is thicker than this pan.The spoon is better made than the pan.The first one I received had some imperfections inside the pan and you could see swirls where they were buffing it.Also where the handles are attached, there was a huge dent, almost a hole.I called All-Clad and they said it was defective so to return it to Amazon.I sent it back and the replacement still had the swirls and not as big of a dent by the handle. But because of the rapport with All-Clad I kept it.I've used it a couple of times, but its small and everything I have tried has burned regardless of what I do.I wish I could send it back. The best part of this whole deal is the red oven mitts since I brown my meats on the stove and then transfer the pans to the oven. The handles do get hot but these oven mitts help.Other than that, save your money and buy something better from All-Clad.

I returned this pan ONLY due to the incorrect info in the description. I wanted a 13" bottom cooking surface, NOT the measurement across the top of the pan. Other than that, the pan is well constructed, nice and medium weight, looked like it would be a workhorse, if a smaller pan is what you want.

I ordered this pan a few years ago from another site because it was unavailable on Amazon at that time.

Itis of the usual All Clad high quality. It is a versatile cooking pan that can be used on the stove top and in the oven. The aluminum core bottom makes it heat quickly and evenly which makes it more energy efficient to use. Of course, the heat must be adjusted accordingly to compensate for this or your food will cook too fast.

The included spoon and mitts are a nice addition.I use the red oven mitts when taking it out of the oven, but when needing to steady it on the stove top I prefer to use a Le Creuset Silicone Set of 2 Mini-Cool Tool, Dijon as a potholder for the handle. I also use these as coasters and to place in between items to keep them from sliding around and rubbing against eash other while traveling. If they become soiled I just wash them off in the sink. They do not stain and are very durable which makes them not have to be replaced frequently. This makes them kinder to my pocketbook and the environment.

I really appreciate it not having a long handle that would waste space in my RV cabinets.

Loving the All-Clad cooking experience myself, I bought two of these sets as gifts for my two daughters for Christmas. Both had expressed a need for new pans recently, but had "hinted" that they wanted one of the new sets stamped with a particular celebrity chef's name.

I really wanted them to have the experience of cooking with All-Clad, a pan that lasts a life-time, consistently bears great meals, and cleans up easily and perfectly. I anticipated some disappointment when they opened their Christmas gifts, as it registered to them that they got ONE pan rather than the next shiny colorful set bearing Rachel's name, a set that I was sure would be in the landfill in about 5 years just as the previous less expensive sets they received are going.I sat confident though, as I witnessed the quick expression of disappointment quickly recovered with an appreciative smile, sigh, and thank yous as they opened their gifts.

But within a month, both daughters have come to me individually and stated how much they love their new All-Clad pan! They love the size, the versatility of use, the way it properly cooks everything they have used it for, and the way it practically wipes clean after cooling to room temperature. They have even begun their own hunts to begin building their own set of All-Clad pans for their own kitchen and families My Christmas wish come true!

George Foreman Foreman Special Edition Super Champ

George Foreman Foreman Special Edition Super ChampThe George Foreman Grill works like a champ! The first thing I cooked with it was a huge Porterhouse steak and it was great. The size is just right for me. I can do two small steaks or pork chops at the same time. The fat runs out into the tray at the front. It cleans up easily, as well, even though the grill plates are not removable. I just spray it with some water while it's warm and wipe it down with paper towels. I have recommended this grill to friends.

A third party has posted an incorrect photo of the same size model with a bun warmer plastic top (GR18BWI) discontinued; the model for sale is GR18 without the bun warmer and in white (GR18PL is silver). The bun warmer seems limited to the smallest models only 36", and may never have been popular.

The 51" model has a more square plate than the 50" (GR50) model, which is wide and very narrow, suitable mainly for hamburgers rather than steaks. The 60" models are only slightly larger and fit in similar spaces, and have similar wattage about 800.

Unlike the larger 72" and above models, this size can fit on a range top between the burners.

The cords are all shorter by a foot or more from the original 3ft cords years ago, and may need an extension.

We have used several of the George Foreman grills and they all offer the same basic premise.Super quick way to grill your food. The grill plate is angled so the oil from the fat will drain away from the food. This will prevent the food from cooking in its own fat. This allows for quick, healthy preparation of meats for the salad, or leaner burgers, etc.Cleaning is fairly simple. The grilling plate is mostly nonstick.Just use the provided sponge with some warm soapy water and everything comes off.For the chunks of meats that are harder to get off, just use the provided plastic scraper.

I have 3 different sized GF grills and use them several nights a week. They are all several years old but have held up well.

One finally quit working. It's the one I used the most.I couldn't find the same model so went with the 'new generation' of GF grills.I order quite a bit through Amazon and didn't anticipate a problem with them......and I didn't.

The grill, however, was more square shaped that the older oval shaped one that died. The older one would hold 2 very large hamburger patties but the newer one, being square, would hold one large patty or one large steak.

We used it once to cook 2 steaks on.It cooked them well enough but the non-stick coating came off in many places with the first cleaning.I have been cleaning these grills for years and they don't have a mark of missing coating on them anywhere.

I only paid $21 and change plus shipping for this grill and am debating on whether it's worth sending back.I will buy another one, but at a store close by for easier return if it happens again.

When I got this I was unsure about it, but now that I've tried it I'm hooked. As someone that has always had questionable cooking skills, in the past I didn't cook much. Having lived mostly on prepared meals. Now with this I can cook, and well. I can make perfectly cooked steaks, hamburgers and chicken. Just thaw the meat, put a little seasoning on it and cook. Plus clean up is a snap, takes less time to clean the grill than it does to wash my plates. And it's great for someone like me who lives alone. Perfect for one person. Would totally recommend this to anyone else.
