Paula Deen Signature Pantryware Upright Rooster Napkin Holder

Paula Deen Signature Pantryware Upright Rooster Napkin HolderGreat napkin holder; nice design. The only negative is that it doesn't hold a lot of napkins at one time.

I wanted to get a napkin holder for my kitchen counter/table as I'd been making do with having them piled in a small plastic bin which made me look pretty darn cheap. Haha, not that I really give a plop about that, but I wanted something nicer. I saw a bunch of art deco holders and some wooden ones but those weren't appealing. I'm not really interested in the whole country kitchen/cock/big milk jugs/etc. look either, but hey, the price was right. It can't hold a ton of napkins, but enough that I don't need to refill it more than once a week and a half or two. And the holder is very sturdily built which is nice. Still, it is somewhat pleasant to look at and use.

I was looking for a large napkin holder and I spotted this one at a low price. I am pleased with it and expect I will use it for sometime.

My little brother gave this to my mother for Christmas and she loves it.For the price I was expecting it to be cheap and junky (the usual Chinese stuff), but this was a nice surprise.

RSVP Endurance 15" Splatter Screen

RSVP Endurance 15' Splatter ScreenAfter buying a 15" Lodge cast-iron skillet, it was difficult to find a splatter screen to cover it.Thankfully, RSVP and Amazon came to the rescue. If you fry, saute', griddle, or must heat spice seeds, you need a splatter screen. If you own a big skillet, this is pretty much the only one out there for you, and it's easy to clean, too.

You know how every so often something arrives from Amazon, you pull it out of the box and think to yourself, "oh... THAT'S what I paid 30 bucks for?" This is one of those items. The screen is much lower quality than the picture (not magnifiable), the high price, and the 5-star reviews suggest. The handle is extremely flimsy and the welding to the screen has an odd yellowish color. The construction around the outside is also quite poor, with sandwiched pieces of stainless steel that don't fit together very well. This is also one of those items on Amazon whose price fluctuates daily ($30.49 when I bought it, $24.95 at the time of the review 2 weeks later). I wouldn't recommend paying more than $10.

Works well. Is sturdy. Make sure you have a place to store it because this is a large size.

It's so hard to find a 15 inch splatter screen and I was so happy when I found it at Amazon.Great quality at a great price.Definitely recommend this item if you need a splatter screen in this size like I do.

Want RSVP Endurance 15" Splatter Screen Discount?

As the other reviewers have suggested, this is a splatter screen large enough to cover your biggest skillets.I use it on a 14" All Clad 6 Qt Saute pan, and it works quite well even though the small lift handle opposite the long stem handle doesn't allow the screen to sit perfectly flat on the pan.Anything smaller than this makes for a messy cook top.

George Foreman GRV80 Contemporary Grill with Extended Handle

George Foreman GRV80 Contemporary Grill with Extended HandleThis is my fifth George Foreman grill. It is the largest I've purchased over the years. I use the grill several times a week. It heats well and food grills uniformly. I find this particular model to be easy to use and it has held up better than the cheaper models. My biggest issue with all of the grills I've purchased is the cleaning. The plates don't come off, so you have to be careful when washing them so that you don't get water where it shouldn't go. The grills are made well, so it is pretty hard to get water inside the apparatus, but it is still a bit of a chore to scrub. Highly recommended if you want something that will quickly grill a juicy piece of chicken, vegetables and more.

I just got my george foreman contemporary grill today! On the picture it looks white but its really silver. I've already cooked chicken, shrimp, salmon, corn on the cob, and a quesadilla. It's awesome! Soo much fun! Cooking surface is 80 sq inches and it's small enough to fit on our kitchen counter without looking too bulky but big enough to cook for me, my wife, and my 5 year old son. I tend to over cook my food because i haven't gotten used to it cooking soo fast but I'm starting to figure it out. I think I'm going to start preparing my food in the morning (marinating meats, cutting vegetables and whatnot) to cut down cooking time even more! Cleaning is simple enough...just wipe down the hot grill with a sponge and dry off with a kitchen towel. Me and My wife are on a diet so this grill is going to make it easier to keep us on track! Highly recommended to anyone!

I've had my George Foreman GRV80 for six months and am completely satisfied with it. I use it at least five times a week for my family. I make everything from fish sticks to pizza on it! It only has one setting (very hot) so I'm limited to what I can make.As a "starter" grill I think this one is great. The nonstick surface makes clean up easy. If you want to do more things with your grill (i.e., make pancakes, cookies and waffles) then I would look into getting a grill with interchangeable plates. I also like the sloped grill so all of the fat drips away from the food. Today I made bacon and was amazed to see how much fat was in the drip pan! Another great feature is the large cooking surface. It's plenty big to make hamburgers for 4-6 people and two paninis at the same time. For the money you can't beat it.

Fissler Vitaquick Quattro-Set

Fissler Vitaquick Quattro-SetI received this pressure cooker a a set for Christmas and I'm very impressed with how it works.I've used it for pulled pork, black eyed peas and collards for New Year's and used the smaller, skillet size pressure cooker for making some Yukon gold mashed potatoes (I used a ricer to mash--the cooked potatoes stayed dry since they were in the perforated pan above the water). My next project will be to make beef broth using some roasted bones and beef shanks. This pressure cooker comes up to pressure quickly and it didn't take me long at all to figure out how to keep it at the correct pressure using my gas range. The taste of the food is outstanding--this is the first time that I've made black eyed peas that the flavors I put in the pan actually melded in a very good way (and I do know how to make black eyed peas the Texas way).My last pressure cooker was a "jiggler" Presto and I was comfortable using it as I had grown up with these types of pressure cookers. But when I decided to upgrade, I did a lot of research and decided that the advanced European models were the way to go.I also weighed the Kuhn-Rikon but picked the Fissler as my choice. There were a couple of small things in the Kuhn Rikon reviews that steered me to the Fissler.Yes, they're expensive but I've found over the years that money paid for good equipment is money well spent. The lid is easy to put on and the latch is definite. The cooker is quiet after coming up to pressure although there is a bit of steam that escapes from one of the valves while it is coming up to pressure but once that valve closes the blue/white rings show what pressure you are using and no more steam escapes.Highly recommended.

I make meals with this weekly to make beans, rice, oatmeal, meats and vegetables. I work and have to make meals quickly in the evenings and this allows me to tackle things like making hummus from dry garbanzos an hour after I arrive home. The pressure cooker is very well made and except for the seal which may need a replacement every few years this will last a lifetime.

Le Creuset Enameled Cast-Iron Skinny Grills

Le Creuset Enameled Cast-Iron 9-1/2-Inch Square Skinny Grill Pan, CherryIt says this is a 2 burner grill pan but that is so wrong. It does not cover 2 burners it sits in the middle of each burner causing the handles to be right ove both burners. Very dissapointing, I love the le creuset normally and was really looking forward to having a grill pan made by them. Unfortuanatelly due to the shape it will not work for just one burner either. Hopefully they will come out with an updated one, until then my search for a good 2 burner grill pan continues.

We love this product. If you are like us and don't want a thousand single-use products in your home, you may really like this grill. We use it in the winter to grill steaks and get those beautiful lines. We use it to grill veggies. (My favorite: asparagus with some olive oil. Then sprinkle with sea salt and garlic powder). But our most recent use, paninis!!! I made a cheese and ham sandwich on italian pugliese bread or chiabatta, sprayed with a little grapeseed oil and put it down on the grill, put a cast iron pan on top of it as a press, then flipped it over and did the same. Our paninis looked beautiful and tasted out of this world!

Update in Nov 09. It isn't always easy to keep clean. Still love it.

I just purchased a glass top stove and bought this because of the protective bottom. However, after using it several times, I would choose a different grill because of the following reasons:

#1 The spatter mess there is virutally no way to prevent splatter when using this pan creating an unneccessary amount of post-cooking clean-up.

#2 There is no option of purchasing a lid

#3 The pan itself has an odd rectangular shape that does not fit on one burner or two for that matter. Thus, somewhere while cooking you have a cool spot.

While some don't like the size of this grill pan, I find it easy to work with.Just position the middle of the grill pan over the burner and heat slowly for even temperature throughout. The fact that 3 other burners are free while I grill meat on this grill is helpful in cooking other dishes for the meal. The patina does take a while to build but now I use very little (if any) grease to make it nonstick.I found that cleaning works best with a quick soak after the grill cools.Just some dish soap and enough water to soak the grill for 20 min or so was enough for easy cleanup with a plastic brush. Before the patina develops, there is a bit more careful cleanup but this diminishes over time.I've enjoyed this grill for over a year and it is a staple part of my kitchen.

Great idea, and easy to store for those of us with limited space. But if you're an amateur griller like me, it's too easy to push the grill pan off the burner while you're trying to flip food, especially if the food sticks. The handles are so close to the flame that it's hot on your fingers, and you have to hold the handles with the ends of your fingers with a potholder, so it's hard to get a good grip.I'm returning mine in favor of one with a nice big honkin' handle to hold it really well, at least until I'm better at grilling.Great idea though.

Le Chef Enamel Light Cast Iron Red Fry Pan 11-Inch, on Sale!

Le Chef Enamel Light Cast Iron Red Fry Pan 11-Inch, on Sale!I've never seen a more beatriful fry pan, but sadly the casting is defective having a very noticable 1/4 inch long pit in the frying surface. There are a couple smaller dimples, not so noticeable as well. This qaulifies the pan for a factory second in my opinion and sixty bucks is way too much to pay for a factory second and had I known it I would not have purched it at any price. Nicely packed but no name on either the box or the fry pan so whoever made it must not be very proud of their workmanship. I am not sure I want to go through the hastle of returning it, but have saved all the packing in case I decide to.

Great productvery heavy duty and the lid fits snugly on top so no steam escapes. It's small enough that it's perfect for a family of two. However, it came with no instructions for care...had it been my first cast iron purchase I would not have known proper care which could have turned out badly. All in all no complaints with the actual product at all.

All-Clad LTD Nonstick 12-Inch Round Griddle Pan

All-Clad LTD Nonstick 12-Inch Round Griddle PanThis is the best nonstrick griddle I have purchased. You only need to heat medium to medium-high to get the best result.I use a little oil to give flavor to the food I am cooking and everything slides right off! I use it to make a lot of chicken. The pleasant surprise is that I can now make eggs over easy on medium heat sets nicely to be able to flip without breaking the egg and without overcooking it.This is the first pan I have ever been able to achieve this.Since it is such a nice size, I cook eggs and ham and other items all at the same time.

Unlike other nonstick pans I have purchased in the past, it has retained its' "nonstick".

After using this griddle for about 6 months.....the results:

Pros:

-Nice Build quality.

-Easy cleaning.

-Even heat distribution.

Cons:

Non so far..

Note: For people like me who are planning to use this griddle for Chapathis and Dosas... This is the griddle...even heat distribution helps you to make awesome dosas and chapathis...you can't go wrong with this one...

I have used this pan extensively, mostly for pancakes.I think I have had it about two years now.Food now sticks to it and it is no longer easy to clean.I never wash nonstick pans in the dishwasher and try to avoid high heat with them, although I am sure there werea few burnt pancake and blackened toasted sandwiches (mea culpa). This pan is thick enough to heat evenly and not warp.Probably the worst mechanical wear my pan has had is storing one pan atop another.

I loved the pan itself, because I think Staub is a great product. But I hadn't stopped to calculate how small a 4 ounce pan really is.It's teeny tiny.So I did send it back for size but please know that you can't go wrong with the Staub product line. It's probably one of the best.Giving it 5 stars based on quality, not size.

Woll Diamond Plus Open Saute Pan, 11-Inch

Woll Diamond Plus Open Saute Pan, 11-Inch...But if you want to cook real food like a pro, these Woll Diamond Plus pans are superb!Properly pretreated with a little oil, heated, rinsed with hot water, and wiped dry with a paper towel before attempting a cookware pitchman "magic trick", a tough and durable nonstick surface like this works fine, and cleans up like a charm. If you're worried about a few molecules of oil touching your food, just buy inexpensive T-Fal Professional pans even scorched caramel will speed skate across that stuff, for a year or two at least, if you're careful enough with it.But for a serious quality gourmet skillet without the fuss of continually "seasoning" cast iron or constant temperature babysitting and re-polishing stainless with Kleen King, these Woll pans are truly impressive.

Just received this pan to give as a Xmas gift and is ia not the pan that is pictured. We have the saute pan that is pictured and we love it so we wanted to share the great quality. The pan we received has a different handle which is not a big thing but it doesn't have the small grip on the opposite side which does affect my opinion of the pan. We like the extra grip because the pan is heavier than most and sometimes being able to use two hands is very useful. Beware if you are ordering this pan that it might be different than the picture.

Mostly wrote this to counter the reviewer who gave it 2 stars. That review is simply bogus. Yes this skillet IS VERY NONSTICK when used correctly. After you use it you'll be OK with spending so much on it, because of how well it's contructed from the handle to the sturdy feel of the pan itself it's going to be around a long time.No it is not going to be TV-like nonstick if fresh from the dishwasher or from the box without an oil slick on the surface. But it is also EXTREMELY tough, heavy (which i like in a skillet) and the little microscopic pits the diamond infused coating makes is part of the reason it's so nonstick with the oil on top.But the coating surface is also very tough, from whatever patented infusion process they have going on, it's very different from a cheap teflonish nonstick skillet who's coating IS going to wear out sooner rather than later. You can feel that this is a 3D surface that is not flimsy (this one is metal utensil approved and I think that's legit, though of course you're still better to use silicone to maximize wear).

So the take home point is that no it's not just out of the box ready to be nonstick (or out of the sink if you use soap) -it does have to be prepared correctly the other previous reviewer gives an excellent description of that.Think of it like an iron skillet that doesn't have to be continuously babied and reseasoned and it won't break, won't rust, warp, etc -If you take it straight to the sink and use water and sponge (you don't need the scrubby kind, just a soft sponge) or paper towel without soap to wipe it out after use, even burnt stuff wipes right off EASILY and it seems like the pan very rarely needs more oil unless you forget and bring on the soap. And you don't have to worry about this one warping it's so thick so take it right to the sink when you're done, run cold water (which will be hot as it cools the pan enough you can wipe it), wipe er down and back in action.Literally takes about 15 seconds to clean it like that, dry it and have it back on the stove ready to go.It beads up water with the oil on board, so just a brush from the towel and it's dry.I'm not sure it'd be possible to burn something onto the outside of it in fact except the flat bottom which is of course not coated.

The amount of "seasoning" for the 11 inch skillet is negigible in calories, so don't get the wrong idea -it amounts to about as much olive oil as you would get dipping about 3 fingertips into the oil to your first knuckle in fact, I like to rub it in like that -a few drops of oil and rub it in with your fingers until you cannot see the oil film except for a little streak behind your finger. If you just do that simple little trick and avoid soap (which removes the oil) this pan is tough as nails, cooks very evenly, and can then perform the As Seen on TV type nonstick tricks and your eggs WILL slide around easily, etc. It's my favorite nonstick pan ever, and I've been looking around forever trying to find one that will truly stand up over a long period of time without the nonstick surface eroding off, and one that doesn't have to be babied if you forget and use a fork, etc.I've abused it in the dishwasher when I'm being lazy (which is unneccesary and dumb, the pan isn't hard to clean) and it still stands up to that very well (but needs re-seasoned).

Also it's laser flat on the bottom.outside's easy to clean also same surface all the way down to the heat pad

My only wish is that they would make it in their induction friendly line it's aluminum and titanium, so no go for magnetic cooktops.Combine the quick on of induction with the heat transferring properties of the diamond coating (much faster than metal) and you'd have the ultimate in instant/consistent heat.I have one of the Precision Induction Hotplates you see on TV and it really does keep the heat constant at the selected temp, which keeps you from burning food in the first place, even oil if you're frying chicken or fish, etc can be kept below the smoke point and not turn rancid you could use it over and over if you wanted just like a restaurant fryer.Combine that with this type of nonstick coating surface and it'd be perfect.I haven't tried Woll's regular induction line, but if that coating is anywhere near as tough as this it's likely to be great too. Also fit the lids I have from other cookware perfectly.

So yeah it's pricey but in a couple years you'll be glad you bought it because you'll still have it and will probably have forgotten where you put all your other skillets and after a garage sale you wont always have a cabinet full or worn out skillets anymore -that by itself is worth it in my opinion.

Saw these pans demo'd at a home show and was very impressed with the performance but not the price they were selling at. Found this on Amazon and instantly bought it. I was very excited to try this product and get similar results and it could not have been more opposite. You are supposed to be able to cook fat free and water free in these pans which i tried and it failed miserably. Cooked eggs and the second they went into the pan they formed a film across the bottom instantly stuck. It was very disappointing but it got two stars because it did clean sort of easy and Amazon's price is very good.
