Kinetic Classicor Series Wrought-Iron Oval Pot Rack

Kinetic Classicor Series Wrought-Iron Oval Pot RackI bought this product through Amazon after shopping eBay and finding higher prices on the same exact item. The hardware was all included and it looks very nice. It's very heavy duty and functional and I was very pleased with the appearance and functionality.I am a Pampered Chef consultant and I love knowing that my expensive professional cookware is safe from scratches and the glass lids I store above the grid. Now I just need to figure out where to get Extra Hooks for this model, and I would be very pleased.I highly recommend this item.

UPDATE: After 2.5 years, the product is still as great as when we bought it.It looks nice, is functional, etc.We love it.

Update 2: We have had this product for about 5 years and still haven't had a single issue. It's still durable, functional, and looks nice. So glad we chose this particular rack.

As a Pampered Chef consultant, I too, am very concerned with keeping my non-stick cookware safe, and this is just the product for that! My 10 pc. set and 6 open stock peices ALL fit on this rack with ease! It has adjustable heights and is so very easy to install! I love that it can be put just about anywhere! It has sure cleaned out my cabinet space and now all my cookware is easily accessable! My lids hang on the hooks as well. I would like to have more hooks, but it comes with a lot. I highly recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a sturdy out of the way place to store any of their cookware and utensils, that still is fashionable. For the price, this can't be beat!!

June 14, 2007 Just a quick update. After all this time, my rack is still awesome! No rusting! No movement in the anchors! And I've added hooks and more pots! I now have the Executive Cookware and have 11 pots and pans and a set of Stainless Steel Mixing Bowls, and lids all on my rack! What a space saver!! I am so impressed with this item!! I bought one for my mom and both of my daughters!! I wish I could get extra hooks that match but you can get some similar at the hardware store.

July 30, 2010 Another quick update. I now have All Clad Stainless Steel Cookware that I've added to my rack! It is still in PERFECT condition and is still perfectly anchored! What a great buy!! I am recommending this product to every Pampered Chef consultant that I know. All my family members have one now! We love it!!

After spending a lot of time looking both online and in stores, I decided on this pot rack. After looking at and comparing the various aspects of several racks, this Innova model offered by Amazon made the most sense and was clearly the best buy for the money; all things considered.Simply put, there were units costing well over $100 or more, that really didn't offer much more (if anything) for the higher cost some were even over $200+ !! And at just under 40 clams and super-fast, 3-day free shipping, I couldn't be more happy with my choice and the Ama-Zoney purchase experience. The rack is both well-built and spacious at 34" X 17". The finish is a smooth, satin black and the center grill is bright and shiny metal which looks nice together. The hardware kit provides a generous 12 hooks to hang the cookware and 4 chains and ceiling hooks to allow for a stable, "rock-free/won't tip" installation real important, as some units with 2 hooks & chains can easily tip if the weight of the hanging cookware is not closely balanced and even on both sides. This can easily happen if you neededto use 2 pieces of cookware that happened to be on the same side of the rack, leaving the opposite side considerably more heavy and the whole mess could tip over; dropping your nice cookware on the floor or somebody's unsuspecting head! So, be sure and use ALL 4 hooks and do it right!! Also, it is important to try and screw the ceiling hooks directly into the wood ceiling joists (beams) if possible, especially if you plan on loading this bad boy up with heavy cookware, like I did. If you're not going to, than just use the proper toggle bolts and you should be fine. But as always, screwing the hooks directly into the joists is clearly the most secure way to fasten anything that has to support any considerable weight. Also, try and mount the hooks, close to the same dimensions that are on the 4 holes in the rack this also allows for both a "plumb" and more stable rack. I think the rack also looks nicer, when the chains hang plumb (completely vertical), as opposed to being "angled". On my particular installation, I was replacing an existing pot rack and there were already 4 holes in the ceiling that were screwed into the ceiling joists. So, to keep the install solid, I simply slid the4 hooks/chains more towards the outside corners of the new rack to keep it as plumb and stable as possible, without the need to re-drill any new holes. I also added 4 lighting canopies from Home Depot ($5 each) to improve the kind of crude, unfinished look that black hooks alone offer. This allows for a smoother and more attractive transition from the chains to the ceiling a real nice finishing touch that makes the unit look more elegant and expensive. I also spent the whopping 97 cents at Wal-Mart and spray-painted both the canopies and the chains a very similar black finish for a more consistent and matching appearance (see my photos). I added a tulip light kit to the pot rack to further enhance it's appearance and brighten up my stove and counter areas. (You can also add a black clip on,flexible light that I saw at Home Depot for about $9). I am totally pleased with the finished look I got for the money; after adding only a few inexpensive and easy personal tweaks of my own. This rack offers a great value for the money that most people would be completely pleased with. If you're more of the "style-over-substance" type, than you'll likely have to spend 4X-6X the coin to satisfy your taste. For me, this rack has both great functionality and looks more than good enough for the money. Enjoy life!

I was skeptical of buying a hanging pot rack at such a low price, but the good reviews convinced me to give it a shot. This one obviously doesn't compare to the really expensive ones, being relatively lightweight and made of less heavy-duty materials, but it is definitely a good value for the price. It is very attractive and plenty sturdy enough to hold all of my cookware except the cast iron pieces. I love the way it looks in my kitchen and I *really* love the cabinet space it opened up!

Functional and well constructed, this rack fits the bill for a very good price.Measuring 34" by 17", it was just the size to hang my new set of Calphalon pots and pans along with two KitchenAid frying pans.Installation was easy and, owing to some luck about the placement of joists in the ceiling, it hung just where I wanted it above the counter island.Since the hangers are well supported by the joists, I'm sure it will hold more than the rating of 40 lbs.I would rate this a Best Buy.

Nordic Ware Italian Frittata and Omelette Pan

Nordic Ware Italian Frittata and Omelette PanI love this pan! I spray a little oil on both sides before I use, and it doesn'tstick. Would have given 5 stars if the pan handles were rubberized so you don't have to use bulky hot pads. Handles do get quite hot. Definitely do recommend.

I have made frittatas in the oven and was not highly impressed. I then saw this frittata pan on amazon and purchased it. I made a frittata and oh my goodness what a difference. The frittata raised really well, was not dry around the edges, and best of all it did not fall. Beautiful and delicious.

Bought this heavy-duty omelette pan on AMZN: it's terrific!Used medium heat (electric glass top stove) and light spray of canola oil to produce a wonderfully puffy omelette. No sticking, no burning! This made-in-USA pan is so much better than the cheaper light-weight Chinese import that I previously bought (also from AMZN).

We ordered two of these pans and upon delivery one of the pans had come apart. In preparing to use the other it too came apart. It appears the manufacturing process does not properly connect the two sections. It's possible one came apart due to shipping but the other appeared okay until we handled it.

They look like great pans but it can present a safety hazard if it were to separate during usage.

This is one of the products I bought not because I needed them but because I thought I could use them. Often this behavior turns out to be a waste of money not this time!

Making omelette is now so much easier. You just fill beaten eggs in both of the compartments (2-5 eggs total) and put some stuffing on top of one side (make it on the bottom side!). Then you quickly close the lid as soon as the egg starts getting white on the surface and after a few minutes you have a nice omelette.

The quality is great nothing loose, the mechanism closes very tight and the handles are crafted very smooth. Cleaning is easy too because it is well coated. Just take care to not use any metal in it. I find myself not using any tools for the whole process because you can just flip the product out on a plate once it's cooked.

The only issue (and other reviewers mentioned it too) why I gave just 4 stars is that the handle (especially the small one) gets super hot. I'm not very sensitive but I cannot touch (open/close) it after a few minutes. I always need gloves/a towel to operate it.

Lodge Logic L9OG3 Pre-Seasoned Round Griddle, 10.5-inch

Lodge Logic L9OG3 Pre-Seasoned Round Griddle, 10.5-inchI'm a lousy cook and I love pancakes.I've always had to go to a restaurant to get a decent pankcake because I never figured out how to make them right.

But when I got this Griddle I started turning out perfect pancakes every time! There must be something about iron.I've never had any iron cookware before. And the size is just small enough so it's not too heavy, but the flatness allows me to make a "short stack" of pancakes all at once.

This is the most joy that $12.00 has brough into my life in a long time. And, I'll save a ton of money over the rest of my life not going to restaurants to get pancakes!!

I'm a huge fan of cast-iron, so when I was in the market for a griddle I turned to Lodge. This is actually the first new cast-iron pan I've owned (the others I was lucky enough to inherit from my Grandmother), and while I know how to season one properly, it was worth the convenience to buy one preseasoned.

I broke-in the griddle with some pancakes (an Alton Brown recipe) and they turned out amazing, better than any others I've ever had or made. The heat retention of cast-iron really makes a difference, and the low sides of the griddle made flipping the pancakes simple. The size of the griddle was perfect for my range and allowed me to make either 4 small pancakes or 3 medium sized ones at the same time. They browned perfectly and didn't stick at all (per the recipe I buttered the pan and then wiped the excess off between pancakes).

I know cleaning might intimidate those unfamiliar with cast-iron but it couldn't be simpler. If there is no burned food on it, just wipe it down with a cloth (I actually use a wad of paper towels) dampened with warm water right after you're done cooking. While the griddle still is still warm (which will be for quite a while), put a light layer of vegetable oil on the cooking surface and you're done. If there was some burned food on it, just start by scrubing it lightly with a stiff bristle brush and warm water (once again, easier if the griddle is still warm) and then dry off and oil.

Once again, this is a great griddle that makes great food and is simple to take care of. If you've never tried cast-iron before, you'll be amazed how much easier it is to cook on since it has no hot spots (once it's warmed up) and retains heat for a long time. Just be sure to get a good mitt or cover for the handle. Also, if you have a lot of people to cook for, I might suggest getting two of these griddles instead of a large one that spans multiple burners (unless your burners are close together or gas).

I was looking for something without teflon, with a flat base, and even heat conductivity. Traditional iron pans for making rotis are usually concave, designed to sit on gas or kerosene burners. If you have a radiant or other electric cooktop, those concave pans are dangerous because with some rolling they could land on your toes.

This griddle is flat-bottomed, so it doesn't move from its location. It's thick and distributes heat evenly, and can maintain nearly the same temperature in the middle as it does near the rim. Since it's pure iron, there's no danger of burning PTFE, which burns at 500 deg F, I think (I may be wrong or inexact).

I still rate it five stars for what it is, but I'll add some notes of caution:

The loop is not much of a handle. It's more of a hanging device so you can hang the pan from a hook. It does get hot and isn't designed to help you flip the food. Use pot holders, or let it cool before picking up.

Rubbing with a kitchen towel leaves shards on the textured surface. The surface helps breads not stick to the pan, but it shreds paper if you use kitchen towels to rub oil on it. I use a terry towel to clean or to season.

Iron rusts. It is the most common metal associated with rust. When done cooking, if you have to wash it, scrub with a brush and water after it cools. Soap is not necessary and will probably aid rusting. Once it's rinsed, wipe dry and store dry. Don't drip dry or dishwash. Don't forget to wipe the underside as well. Any part of it can rust if water is left on it water air and some impurity (including minerals in the water) will cause rusting.

Season once in a while. Rub with cooking oil or spray some Pam-like stuff and wipe dry with a towel.

Remember, this isn't a crepe pan but will give you excellent rotis and tortillas. The trick is in the quick heat. Hotter surfaces cook the thin layer between the flat, flour-dusted faces of the bread quickly without drying it out. Being careful and using low heat will produce crusty breads.

I love cooking with cast iron. This pan is great for making those 3 egg omlets, pancakes, fried eggs, etc. The low lip makes it easy to get the spatula under the eggs and flip them. On the down side if you fry bacon or sausages in it, the grease will spatter the stove. On a campfire that of course won't be a problem.

However if you have limited space in your kitchen cabinet get the combo cooker. The lid is nearly as large as this one and you get the fry pan as well.

On the plus side, this pan being thin fits right under the stack of cast iron pans I already own. So if you cook for a large family and want to serve everyone faster, this is a good way to go as an additional pan.

Spirit Thermolon Non-Stick Skillet Size: 10-in.

Spirit Thermolon Non-Stick Skillet Size: 10-in.wife loves it, eggs slid out of the pan first time it was used. Too bad they ended up on the floor.

This is a quality pan. Nicely weighted, great non-stick surface, and well built. All non-stick surfaces will lose the non-stick quality over time. Sooner if you use no fat at all when cooking, or things like cooking spray on them. The infomercials are a bit deceiving that way. This pan comes with not only a warranty on the workmanship of the pan, but they also offer a two-year warranty on the non-stick coating. Most companies won't do that because they can't control how you are treating the pan. I was impressed. In my experience with cookware, you gain a lot in quality and performance by passing over the cheapest price point and going for the medium price point, you gain very little by moving from the medium to the highest price point. That is true of non-stick cookware, especially considering they will need to be replaced once you ware through the coating no matter how good the rest of the construction is. We had to return a cheaper pan because it didn't have enough weight to resist warping when heated. Heavier construction will also result in better heat distribution. This pan is perfect.

Hamilton Beach 38500 Step Savor Skillet/Griddle Combination

Hamilton Beach 38500 Step Savor Skillet/Griddle CombinationI have bought two of these appliances, one for me and then one as a gift for my in-laws. I had to so they would not take mine. The bottom portion is great for breakfast foods like pancakes and eggs. The top portion is even better for cooking a variety of foods, including sautéing onions and vegetables and browning meats. The skillet section also doubles as a serving dish that makes it much easier to keep food warm at the table. The variable heat setting also give you great control over the cooking times.I highly recommend the skillet griddle.

I was skeptical about this item at first but I am almost completely sold on it after using it for a few months. The griddle is absolutely the best!!The pan doesn't get quite hot enough even at the highest setting to do a proper job of stir fry.The clean up is very easy and a real bonus feature. The complaints about the plastic taste must come from the use of the lid.We rarely use the lid but use either the griddle or the combination unit at least once a week without the lid.

I was given this skillet as a gift, and I'm glad that I didn't pay for it.While the lower half is passable as a griddle (it heats well, has a nice nonstick surface, and is stable on a countertop), its limited cooking area makes it hard to make more than a few small pancakes or a eggs at a time -not what you want in an electric griddle (otherwise, you'd use a pan, right?).

As an electric skillet, it's decidedly below average. The removable skillet design slows heating, and it's often difficult to achieve simmering temperatures, even with the lid on.Forget simmering with the lid off, because you'll be waiting all day.As a result, it's a terrible braising device -it's difficult to brown the food, and hard to maintain a simmer.

I would only recommend this skillet to those who are very limited on kitchen space.Otherwise, for about the same price you can buy both a quality electric skillet, AND an electric griddle.

I've had my H-B Step Savor Skillet/Griddle for several months now, and I am very happy with it. The griddle accomodates four medium-sized pancakes, and the small lip around the edge keeps the batter off my countertops. The skillet gets hot enough to brown hamburger meat and has enough capacity to prepare a substantial main dish for a family of 4-6. The temperature control has temperature markings for both the griddle and the skillet, since the skillet temperature runs lower than the griddle.

Clean-up is easier than with traditional electric skillets. You don't need to worry about immersing the electrical components because the skillet lifts off the base (which is the griddle) and can be washed like any non-stick cookware. The griddle wipes clean with a paper towel or damp sponge.

Though I'm not much for home entertaining, I can imagine this electric skillet being very handy -you can cook in it, then turn the temperature down to keep the food warm for as long as you need to. The lid has an adjustable vent in it to control the moisture level inside.

I only wish that the non-stick coating was a bit tougher. I've been careful to avoid scratches so far, but I know it's only a matter of time. I just hope that H-B keeps making these clever kitchen tools, because when this one becomes unusable, I'll certainly buy another one!

Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick 12-Inch Omelette Pan

Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick 12-Inch Omelette PanThis pan is amazing. It passed our hash brown test. My other skillets, no matter how hard I tried and no matter what I did, they would ALWAYS stick. Even to my stainless steel skillets!!

Not with this wonderful skillet!! I sprayed some Extra Virgin Olive Oil with my Misto Oil Sprayer, that I also got from Amazon, and not ONE bit of the hash browns stuck to this skillet. They browned and came out amazing!! Then I made gooey, cheesy scrambled eggs!! Again, NO STICKING!! And clean up is a snap-wait until the pan cools and put in the sink with hot soapy water, very lightly wash, rinse, dry and your done!!

I love this Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick cookware!!!! I got all the matching pieces to the original 10pc set I got from Amazon and threw my other pans away!! I even went to the Calphalon site to order lids for the omlette pans-too bad they do not come with the set-I can always use the lids with the omlette pans. They do not make a lid for the stir fry pan though.

If you buy this cookware, you will NOT be sorry!! Just hand wash as they state, DO NOT PUT IN THE DISHWASHER, use nylon cooking utensils and get the Misto Oil Sprayer, and you'll be a happy cooker!! NO MORE stuck food!!!

I just cannot rave enough about this cookware!!!! I'm having fun in the kitchen again!!!!

I love this pan.It is one of my favorite cookware pieces.Whenever I need a large pan, this is it.It's nice and heavy, heats quickly and cooks evenly. It don't have any problems with food sticking to it so cleanup is easy. The lid is made of glass, so I can see how my food is cooking and I can put the whole thing in the oven when I need to.

Large and durable, I've had this pan for years and cooking surface is still in great condition.

This is pass #2 with the non-stick versions of Calphalon cookware that I expected would last longer than 7 years -but this is our fault, not the manufacturers. We are proud owners of a full set of Calphalon professional cookware and it cooks as well today as it did 15 years ago when we first got it (albeit with some cosmetic degradation...just like me).I think we were lulled to sleep by the seeming indestructable nature of the hard anodized stuff and took liberties with the non-stick version that we weren't entitled to (kind of like that friend of the opposite sex that you constantly get drunk with and make innuendos...eventually, you get slapped. The non-stick pans finally decided to stop pretending our "smooth surface" double entendres were cute.)

These cook evenly and clean easily, but you MUST:

heat the pans with medium heat

do the butter test at least once so you know the right interaction between pan and your stove

never use anything but wooden, silicone or plastic utensils in the pan (no you CAN'T be careful with that metal fork!)

They are easier to use than the pro stuff (my wife won't even touch the hard anodized versions any more...or at least she won't clean them, if we're being honest) but you have to take care of them.

Anolon Advanced Hard Anodized Nonstick 11-Inch Covered Deep Round Grill Pan

Anolon Advanced Hard Anodized Nonstick 11-Inch Covered Deep Round Grill PanI don't usually cook with non-stick cookware, except for making omelets.

Non-stick does not usually make a nice crust on meats or reduce sauces properly.I will stick with my All Clad stainless and Le Creuset for everyday cooking, thank you.

HOWEVER, in the winter months when it is too cold to go outside and grill, this pan is the BEST commercial grade non-stick pan out there.

Fish and steaks cook up beautifully, searing the meats, leaving nice grill marks every time.It cooks up chicken breasts better than my Weber grill.

Easy cleanup and nice rubber ergonomic handle.

Calphalon Tri-Ply 12-Inch Stainless Steel Everyday Pan with Cover

Calphalon Tri-Ply 12-Inch Stainless Steel Everyday Pan with CoverThis pan is somewhat bigger than I expected. The side walls spread out from the base a little more than it seems to look in the picture, but it's a fantastic pan. It's heavy and the base fits perfectly on the largest element of my electric stove. Looks great and fits in with the rest of the Tri-Ply line. The clear lid is great for watching the status of what's cooking without interrupting it. It's large enough to brown at least 3 pounds of ground beef with plenty of room to spare, so capacity should not be a concern at all. You could probably fry 4 medium size chicken breasts or maybe 5 pork chops at once without crowding the pan. I just got this pan, but I expect to use it quite a bit.

Great multi-purpose pan.I switched from Caphalon non-stick cookware to Caphalon's stainless steel after the non-stick surface became worn (which is really unsafe given the chemicals used for the non-stick coating).Anyways, it's a little bit of an adjustment going from non-stick to stainless steel. When you use non-stick, one becomes used to not having to use much oil and still not having a problem with food sticking to your cookware. With stainless steel, I think the trick is to pre-heat your stainless steel pan, cook at a little bit lower setting, and you'll figure out it's just as good as non-stick.My everyday Caphalon works great after I figured out how to use it...cleans easy too. After cooking, I just pour a little water in the pan and let it soak for 30 mins and anything stuck on the pan just comes right off.I also use Bar Keeper's friend cleanser and this stuff cleans it perfectly.

It is the one. It is the most amazing, most gorgeous pan i have ever encountered. It is build very solid, i never felt it was flimsy or breakable. It is nice and large but not so large that it heats unevenly on the burners. It is OVEN SAFEsear the steak, pop in oven, voila you made an awesome steak on a stove top! The ban is not non stick but if you work at the proper heat for the food, heat up the pan, then add your oil/butter and HEAT IT UP TOOthe ban is virtually non stick. I can make MOST items in this pan but there are a few items i do prefer to make in a nonstick panlike fry potatoes. For some reason i can not fry potatoes in this, they stick , i ssuspect because the oil gets starchy and in that case a non stick surface is needed.

Bar Keepers friend will keep this pan looking 100% new . It is dishwasher safebut dish washing detergents will make it dull but cleanso i usually clean in dishwasher then follow up with barkeepers friendvoila new pan!.

FYI: I read on another site that you should grease it with a thin coating of oil, in case anyone also read thatPLEASE NEVER DO THIS. Stainless steel is NOT cast iron. It will be gross .

I use this pan several times a week to stir-fry vegetables.I don't have any complaints. You won't get much better than this unless you're willing to spend much much more (such as buying a copper-clad or all copper version), but this pan performs well enough on both gas and electric ranges, I don't think you'd feel a need to.

Just be aware that if you're buying this to add on to an existing set of Calphalon products, it may look slightly different than your other pans (not really a big deal), as Calphalon has a had a few different Tri-Ply variations over the years.

All-Clad Panini Pan with Press

All-Clad Panini Pan with PressI have nothing but praise for this pan. I have been using it 4-5 times per week since I purchased it.

The pan heats quickly and evenly and gives that perfect grilled crust to everything I have tried. It did take some practice to get the temperature and timing down I heat the press on another burner at 9/10 and the pan at about a 4/10. That gives me the perfect browning to both sides while also allowing enough time for the sandwich to get hot throughout. All Clad gives some advice on timing and procedure, but I think my system works better. Be aware, the handle of the pan stays cool but the press handle can get hot.

The listing does not say, but the press is cast iron and quite heavy. Cleanup of the press and pan is easy. The non-stick of the pan works well and the cast iron cleans up easily (I always butter or oil what I am grilling, so ymmv).

I now get perfect sandwiches every time, and never have to worry about all the things that can go wrong with an electric panini press. I am sure this pan will give me many years of great service.

This pan will not disappoint; it's the real thing! The press weighs as least twice as much as the pan--which is hard to find these days.I originally purchased to grill sliced panini rolls, but now use this wonderful pan to grill almost everything from steaks to vegetables. The press is heavy and works; only draw back to this is when it's hot, it's sometimes difficult to hold on to in the air or locate the right spot to rest the press when you have to flip, garnish and/or move around what ever you're grilling.

I asked for, and received the All-Clad Panini Pan with Press as a gift. I was so excited and couldn't wait to use it; however, bad news arrived before I ever got the chance while reading the Instructions I found that it is not recommended for flat top stoves. Since I have a flat glass cooktop, I decided to call All-Clad to find out why it is not recommended and they told me it is because of the way the pan and press are constructed, the heat will not distribute evenly and I would not get good results and they definitely recommended against using the pan. Just want to pass this along in case you are considering I'm returning mine . . . unused.

i bought this pan for like 59 dollars on a promotional special price.i would not pay more for it.the pan is well constructed in true all clad fashion.i think i would rather have higher sides, b/c when a fat sandwich is in the pan and the press is on top, the press wobbles and i don't feel safe leaving it unattended.also, it says to preheat the press, which is nice and heavy, on another burner and after trying several temps and times of preheating, it never seemed to give the crust that desireable golden brown.its easier to flip the sandwich after pressing it.

i think i would like the mario batali one better, because the enamel is more pleasing to the eye than the black nonstick look of the all clad, and also b/c the sides are higher.

all in all, it does the job; but for all clad, i expected perfection, i suppose.

Emeril by All-Clad E8844564 Restaurant Chef's 5-Quart Stainless Steel Dutch Oven Cookware, SilverI got this exact pot elsewhere, but since everybody reads Amazon reviews, decided to enter mine here. It's a satisfactory quality pot, it cleans well, too. The only problem is that the lid doesn't fit tight enough it is loose andthere is a gap all around, so it makes it more difficult to strain (I lost some of spaghetti), and it takes longer to bring pot to a boil. Also, lid handle gets very hot.
