Heuck 33004 Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron 17 Inch Reversible Griddle

Heuck 33004 Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron 17 Inch Reversible GriddleI looked at them all.The $40 grills, the $80 grills...and I thought, it's cast iron for goodness sake just try the cheap one!I am not disappointed.I can't believe we didn't have one of these sooner. It's pre-seasoned nicely -little to no sticking during the first use.It retains a nice, even heat very well. There is a small section on the griddle side that is somewhat irregular but I wasn't aiming for the perfection of Teflon anyway.I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because it seems a bit narrow and there doesn't seem to be a lot of space for grease to go.-We generally don't cook with high-fat meats so it won't be a problem for us.

Besides meats, it makes a great panini-like sandwich.-Or a grilled burrito. Cleanup is easy.If you are interested in a stove-top grill but don't want to spend a lot of money -this is the one for you.

Like the previous review, my grill had a smelled really bad the first time I used it. I washed the grill the same way I washed all my other cast iron (5 different pots/pans) so I thought it would be okay. Before using it a second time I rewashed and thoroughly scrubbed the grill and there was no smell. Seems like the wax applied to the grill for shipping is the culprit.

Another complaint (and the reason it lost another star) I have is that my grill came slightly warped and doesn't fit flush with my stove. Since I have a gas stove this isn't too big of a deal but I would have been extremely annoyed and returned it if I had an electric stove.

This griddle is awful! It says that it come preseasoned, but I am wondering what PETROLEUM product they seasoned it with.I washed it in mild detergent after receiving it (as per instructions) then used it for french toast. It cooked fine, but the odor once heated was awful! It smelled like gasoline and paint mixed. The food tasted the same as the smell. To give the product the benefit of the doubt, I washed it again, this time using vinegar and strong detergent (hoping to get the layer of whatever it was off). Knowing that it would need to be seasoned again, I coated it in canola oil and put it in the oven to season. After about 10 minutes the house was filled with that awful smell and everyone's eyes were burning.Needless to say I WILL NOT be cooking anything on this griddle.Terrible choice by the manufacturer either in the coating or product materials themselves.

product works wonderfully only gripe would be burners on MY stove are a little far apart for this griddle so it heats at the ends of the griddle, i would have liked it more toward the center but it still works fantastic, heats evenly, even to the middle, gets real hot though and quickly.

for the price i have no complaints, it does it's job adequately. that's for both the grill or the griddle.

Universal Housewares Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron 6 1/2 Inch Skillet

Universal Housewares Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron 6 1/2 Inch SkilletUnfortunately this item was returned due to the poor workmanship. I debated whether to keep it or not since it is only around $10 with free shipping piggybacked with another item I ordered, but the flaws were just too obvious to ignore, and I know I will not feel good about using it. There were many sharp unfinished edges from the casting and a few rusty patches on the cooking surfaces as well. The posted picture with this item does not seem to adequately show its true design and dimensions. On the top of the list, the handle is also annoyingly too short, making it really awkward to use. A better made and designed version is available CostPlus for 5.99 at their retail store.

I was hoping for a pan in which I could make an over-easy egg for breakfast but the bottom of the pan is so rough that when you remove the egg, there are small black pieces on the egg.I didn't want to get my iron for the day by eating fragments from a cast iron pan. I have seasoned the pan over and over and nothing changes.

S.S 11 INCH SQUARE GRIDDLE"

S.S 11 INCH SQUARE GRIDDLE'I looked at a lot of different skillets before finally deciding to purchase this one.I am very pleased with my purchase of this pan.4 slices of bread for grilled cheese or french toast, fit nicely into it, pancakes flip easily and it works good for meat and other foods too.I wanted to get away from a coated skillet and was first thinking of cast iron.I don't really like the heavy weight of cast iron though and I like my other stainless steel cookware pots that I own. This skillet is a nice sturdy weight and make.It cleans up easily and with the low sides it is good for easily flipping food. I would definitely recommend it.In the small photo the side edges look crimped or something. This is just the photo reflections as they are smooth and well made.

I have been looking all over for one of these because I was so tired for spending money on coated griddles that are not supposed to scratch and then finding that they eventually do. I have found that nothing beats stainless over a low flame. Trick is to make sure it is really clean with a powder stainless cleaner and to use a heat diffuser. The few extra minutes of care is well worth the effort involved. No chance of eating micro pieces of the coating and better results. Amazom comes through again for me. Thank you!

I absolutely LOVE this skillet. It took a couple uses for it to become "seasoned" but now it is easy to use and clean.I rub butter on it before heating it and pancakes come off perfectly.Spots are easy to clean off with a little baking soda. This is a great buy!!!!!!!

I have been looking for a griddle for my induction cooktop for over 2 years.I originally thought I wanted a multi-burner griddle, but after reading reviews decided to go for a single. This fits well over my larger burner and works like a charm, although I have to watch it because it cooks so quickly. The handle does not get hot.Cleans like a charm.Definitely recommend!

This is a thick and sturdy griddle. It is somewhat heavy (which I find a good thing), but not as heavy as cast iron. The griddle has a nice polished finish all over and is easy to clean. It is also compatible with induction stove-tops. Mine had some minor defects such as a rough spot on the edge and a slight discoloration on the side, but it's hardly noticeable. I think I'll just enjoy the positive aspects of this cookware, as a return for such petty marks do not seem worth it at the time. It certainly is a nice-looking piece.

T-fal SW6100004 EZ Clean Nonstick Interchangeable Plates Sandwich and Waffle Maker, Black

T-fal SW6100004 EZ Clean Nonstick Interchangeable Plates Sandwich and Waffle Maker, BlackThis is truly an "easy clean" appliance. We have tried both the waffle maker plates and the "snak" or sandwich maker plates. The plates attach and remove easily and clean up in the dishwasher. The waffles come out of the plates without effort, and it is very easy to use.I would recommend this to everyone.

The removable plates was a major reason for selecting this waffle iron.I'm very happy with how easy it is to wash the waffle plates since they can be soaked in water or put in the dishwasher.

(With our previous waffle iron, I spent a lot of time trying to get it clean, which I was never able to do satisfactorily with a paper towel or sponge. It would get sticky from the oil and extra things like bananas that we added to the waffles...and it seemed gross to wipe it off and put it away in the cupboard like that).

The quality of the waffles seems very good.My kids like it when we make extras and then they can heat them up in the toaster for a quick hot breakfast on a school day.Waffles with mini chocolate chips are their favorites.

This waffle iron does not have a light or timer that will tell you when the waffles are done. But that is not a problem for me -as soon as I pour the batter in, I set my stove timer for three minutes and that is just the right time for my waffles to cook. The waffle maker heats up again for the next batch very quickly.I had debated about whether we really needed a waffle iron, since we could always make pancakes. However, making waffles is much easier than babysitting pancakes that have to be watched for bubbles and flipped. Those three minute intervals can actually be used to do other kitchen tasks -without worrying about burning the breakfast.

I've only made sandwiches a couple of times...and my family seemed pleased with the sandwiches, both their nice appearance and that they were cooked very well (much better than if they had been fried in a pan).We are looking forward to trying a variety of new hot sandwich recipes.

I purchased this one to replace a cheaper one we bought years ago.The other one still works, but we have not used it in several years because we can't sufficiently clean it.This one makes pocket sandwiches and waffles, but I bought specifically for the sandwiches. The plates easily remove for cleaning.Only attempt to remove them after they have completely cooled.Although this unit was about twice the cost of the cheaper one that can be found on Amazon or locally in stores like Wal-mart or Target, I completely recommend this one because it can be perfectly cleaned while the cheaper one cannot. My old one still has cheese baked onto the unit from several years ago.Trust me when I say, aged cheese is not always the best...LOL

This is a great sandwich toaster, the best thing is the plates are removable, that makes them easy to clean. They are oversized to fit regular bread with lots of stuffings. Makes great stuffed sandwiches. Put some butter on top and bottom to make them crispy. I havent used the waffle maker yet, but I am sure it works well. I was surprised there werent many sandwich makers in the market as small griddlers/grills, just a handful.. so choosing this was easy. Enjoy.. cheers.

Farberware Classic Stainless Steel 15-Piece Cookware Set

Farberware Classic Stainless Steel 15-Piece Cookware SetI am reviewing this cookware set having owned & used it for ~6 months. At first glance, this set seems to be very well reviewed; however if you read the reviews closely, it will become apparent that many of them are for older versions of Farberware sets (e.g. "I've owned mine for 27 years...", etc. (!)) Such reviews are very helpful in giving us a concept of the quality of Farberware from 1980, but they are unfortunately irrelevant to the quality of this set. I bought this set aware of said discrepancy, but was hoping that quality had been maintained, a good manufacturer in the past probably being a good one now, etc. etc. This was an error. As it has been noted, the pans' bases are not stainless steel, but rather aluminum that is quite far from stainless. The nonstick coating on said pans is beginning to separate from the pan in several small but spreading points (as I only use plastic spatulas/spoons/etc. to cook with, this is not an issue of user error). I have no complaint with the pots, but at the current rate I will require new pans after about one year of ownership. Whether such an investment is wise I leave as an exercise for the reader, but in my opinion it would be better to spend more initial money on a better quality, wholly stainless steel cookware set.

On another note, I would implore Amazon reviewers to refrain from writing nostalgic reviews of archaic versions of current products.

We're happy with our 20-year-old Farberware stainless steel cookware, pre-dating the stainless steel capped base. The interiors are still like new.The lids are shiny and dent-free.The handles are faded, but remain tight with an occasional turn of a screw. We use it everyday.

We are equally pleased with the newer "Classic" pieces, especially with the added weight and improved appearance of the capped bases. We bought the 15-piece set, giving us some redundant pieces but at a better price than buying fewer pieces individually.

We like stainless steel for several reasons:It cooks well.We can use metal utensils. It lasts for decades. It's dishwasher safe without consequence. It looks good. It's heavy enough. It cleans up easily.(For occasional stuck on food, we simply blot out what's loose, add water, and bring to a boil. After a few seconds, the stuck on food wipes off easily.)

There's pricier cookware available, some with aluminum cores that extend up the sides of the pan, some with copper clad bases, some with handles rated to 500 degrees, some made of anodized aluminum, and some so heavy you can use it as part of your fitness program. After years of no-complaints with our Farberware Classic stainless steel, we can't see paying the premium prices for anything else.We don't use our cookware in the oven, so we're okay with our 350-degree handles.

One complaint with the set:The non-stick skillets are 100% ALUMINUM with a PLAIN exterior and NO heavy base cap.Per Farberware's own website (caps added for emphasis): "Aluminum stains easily and reacts with certain foods. A nonstick interior and PORCELAIN OR NONSTICK EXTERIOR prevents staining and food reaction. Nonstick aluminum is dishwasher safe. A PLAIN AUMINUM EXTERIOR may discolor in the dishwasher."

We use stainless steel for most of our cooking, but still prefer non-stick skillets for some things. We'd like the skillets in this set better if they at least had an exterior finish on them.

Follow-up:We gave away the aluminum skillets from this set and bought a set of Cuisinart stainless steel non-stick skillets to use alongside our collection of Farberware stainless steel.

Buy Farberware Classic Stainless Steel 15-Piece Cookware Set Now

Farberware classic is great -an inexpensive yet equally functional alternative to the very expensive pots & pans.Note: recently Farberware reduced its quality, in that older Farberware pots & pans had their thick aluminum base completely encased within a stainless steel shell. The newer pots & pans have the aluminum base attached to the bottom, but not encased within a stainless steel bottom. So, their quality is less than it was; most people who "grew up with Farberware" may not realize this.Farberware used to hold the patent on the technique of having the aluminum base CURVE up the side of the pan -they no longer do this, and are the same as many other manufacturers.

This set gets a single star rating because it is the lowest allowed not because it is THAT good!

I purchased this set from Kohl's and returned it after realizing that the interior bottom of the 4 qt. saucepot was pitting and staining after 3 uses.I began to make soup and the pot seemed to react to boiling some kale very peculiar for stainless (?) steel cookware.Have never had a problem with my "Made in the USA" Farberware which is why I purchased this set without hesitation.I notice that a couple other reviewers have had the same or similar problems.

Luckily I still have my old pieces and I will try to find the additional sizes that I need either used or new that are made in this country.I am really disgusted that Farberware is now made in China! I understand that companies do this because it labor cheaper, but that doesn't seem to translate into lower consumer prices go figure!Perhaps if more of us bought US Made whenever possible, we would see some changes and better quality.

Nordic Ware 2-Burner Nonstick Reversible Grill Griddle, 20 by 10-3/4 Inch

Nordic Ware 2-Burner Nonstick Reversible Grill Griddle, 20 by 10-3/4 InchFYI, those of you with square burners will not like this one. It is not stable because of the design, which is clearly meant for round burners.

I was looking for a large grill/griddle that was non-stick, it was almost impossible to find at a fair price.

I thought that the Nordic grill was the one for me...

It is a good grill in that it has a nice size and heats up very well, but the REAL PROBLEM is that it is NOT NON-STICK!!

I don't know what Nordic's idea of non-stick is but this ain't it!If you don't use some Pam spray on it and your grill any meat on it, I promise you IT WILL STICK to the grill! I made that mistake the first time I used it and I nearly had to sandblast the crud off of it and almost ruined the finish. Buyer beware.

I would have given this no stars but it won't let me. This non-stick griddle has more things stick to it than tape.It is simply the worst product I have purchased in a long time.I have this "non-Stick" griddle for just about a month and it is ready for the trash. The non-stick is coming up on the flat end and the griddle is worthless, it ripped my chicken cutlets to shreds.Don't buy it!!! If you read this and still buy it may you have three horrible meals like I did before it met the old trash can.

Want Nordic Ware 2-Burner Nonstick Reversible Grill Griddle, 20 by 10-3/4 Inch Discount?

I like to grill steak, chops and chicken and have used a George Foreman grill exclusively before purchasing this grill. This piece is a nice alternative to the GF...particularly since it grills one side at a time.

The Good...because it sits atop your stove burners, you can adjust the heat setting (though this takes some practice)...which is something the bargain GF grills don't do and the more expensive GF grills do with only a small range of temps.Plus, if you span it across two burners, you can have one end set to a grilling temp and the other end set to a "keep warm" temp. No grill is easy to clean, but this one's easier than a GF type.

The Bad...though it has a non-stick coating, you should still use a non-sticking spray (Pam).

The Jury's still out...I wonder how long the non-stick surface will last with it being in direct contact with the carbon heating elements of an electric burner. Also, I doubt I would have used this for a gas burner as you'd have to closely monitor the flame to ensure it doesn't "suffocate" and you're left with a build-up of natural gas.

Cuisinart Chef's Classic Sauce Pans

Cuisinart 719-16 Chef's Classic Stainless 1-1/2-Quart Saucepan with CoverThis is a good-sized pan.It comes with a nice lid that seals if desired (using steam to form the seal).

It heats evenly, and stays very warm even after sitting away from the burner for a while.

The quality of the stainless steel is great and the pot is easy to clean in that it is stainless steel.

But, it does have its flaws. The negatives have to do with the rivets, especially on the lid, which are large to the point of absurdity, especially for a pan of this size.I was raised with riveted pots and pans, and the rivets were never an intrusion back then.

The lid's rivets make it more difficult to clean. The way they're attached on the outside is sloppy, and unnecessarily bulky. They stick up, and catch on sponges and cloths. This irritates me no end.

This is not a cruel and unusual complaint, but a statement of fact.I am surprised that a company like Cuisinart would be so careless in design.I own another item from a different line of theirs, the Everyday line, and it's the best pot I've ever owned, and that includes my Le Creuset ware.

If it were the only pot available in this size and quality of material, I would buy it again...just because it's hard to find a one and a half-quart saucepan with a lid, for some unknown reason. There are myriad one-quart pans available all over the place.

The price is fabulous!Really fabulous!

Postscript to this comment: I use this saucepan nearly daily.I actually have come to like it very much.If I could rate it again, it would get a four.If it weren't for the annoying rivets, it would be a five star item. The overall quality is unquestionably excellent.

Cuisinart Classic Stainless is the next best thing to All-Clad that you can get according to Cook's Illustrated (makers of the PBS show America's Test Kitchen). They're very beautiful, shiny, heavy, and best of all---they perform wonderfully. They hold a simmer very well, and my food doesn't burn.

Most of the Cuisinart Classic Stainless pots and pans go for WELL OVER $100 EACH at stores like Bed, Bath, and Beyond as well as Linens 'n Things. Buy these at Amazon! I was delighted to see most prices from Amazon were between $20-40 instead of $120-150 at the other stores. Then consider no tax, no shipping costs.... what a bargain!

I have just about every piece in this line and I love it..the pans all cook evenly and with less heat than any other cookware I've used. Keeping it shiny and beautiful is easy..just follow the instructions that come with it. A little bit of white vinegar after washing keeps it sparkling. I don't have a dishwasher and it's easy to clean. The ONLY drawback is that you have to use a towel of pot holder to lift the lid when they're on the stovetop because they get hot. I've recommended it to friends and they love it, too. You can go from stove to oventop. It's very versatile. Buy it! You can't beat this price.

I'm really glad to have replaced my non-stick with the Cuisinart pans. I have been increasingly concerned about the safety of non-stick. I was really scared that they would stick and I would have to scrub them, but they've been really good so far. I'm not crazy about the hazy look that the bottoms get inside, but I know it's because I cook on med-high heat and I need to get some Barkeeper's friend. Overall, really pleased with this purchase, and I'm still adding to my set.

Like the Chef's Classic set I'd bought from Cuisinart through amazon.com, this is a BEAUTIFULLY made piece of cookware with a snug-fitting lid. The bottom is thicker than the walls. It's so beautiful out of the box you hate to use it! But when you get around to breaking it in, you'll find that the heat transfer is fast and EVEN. The snug-fitting lid is a genuine delight, after a lifetime of using crappy cookware I realize what I've been missing. If you love to cook, this saucepan will put a BIG smile on your face! Rachael Ray Enamel On Steel Stockpot

Rachael Ray Enamel On Steel Stockpot with Glass LidMy wife got this for her birthday. On the first use (NO JOKE) the soup she was making burned. She is an experienced cook and was cooking on low heat. When she poured the soup out she saw the pot had burned in the bottom. It's been sitting with water in it the past 4-5 days, but that scarred mark is not coming out. This thing is an utter piece of garbage!

I bought this on clearance "all sales final", so I couldn't return it.Still doesn't excuse the issues.

1. The enamel flaked off the handle as soon as I removed it from the box.Just touched it and a huge chunk came off.I pained over it with home enamel repair to prevent it from rusting.

2. First use, a big spot of enamel came off the inside.Like a pimple on the side.Doesn't impact its use (unless it rusts), but its annoying to pay good money and have it fail on first use. And, of course, someone probable ate that enamel, since we never found it.

3. Finally, the lid doesn't fit right. Its about 3/16" too small in diameter, so it shifts around on top.If you set it right, it seals. If you don't, or it pressurizes, it shifts off and doesn't keep heat in.

Lodge Logic LPGI3 Pro Grid Cast Iron Grill/Griddle

Lodge Logic LPGI3 Pro Grid Cast Iron Grill/GriddleI absolutely adore this griddle, and I use it almost every day.

At first, I wasn't sure that I wanted a cast iron griddle. They are HEAVY and not dishwasher safe . . . so I tried a few nonstick brands first --top dollar brands with high ratings.

I hated them. The nonstick surface was inferior. On a reversible griddle, the underside became sticky and difficult to clean. The heat was distributed unevenly. One claimed to be dishwasher safe, yet when I put it in the dishwasher, some of the nonstick surface came off.

I am extremely health conscious, and I use very little oil when I cook.Food often stuck to the "non-stick" surface -go figure.

I wanted to find a great griddle that I could use for many things, including cooking like the chefs in Japanese Steak Houses -I dreamed of using a small dash of my favorite oil and flinging shrimp, chicken and veggies on the griddle like a pro.No, I didn't think I could toss my tools in the air or catch the shrimp in my pocket . . . I just wanted the flavor and the ease of cooking.

By this time, I was on a quest, and the non-stick stuff just wasn't cutting it.I did a little research, and I learned that pros recommend the Lodge griddle, so despite my apprehension, I thought I'd give it a try.

Wow!The pre-seasoned surface is perfect and better than any non-stick surface I have ever used.Just a tiny bit of non-stick spray is all I need, and everything from pancakes to eggs flip with ease.Grilling Japanese style works perfectly.

On the grill side: whole steaks, chicken, fish -fabulous, fast, and everything has those beautiful grill lines.Nice for grilled vegetables, too.

The griddle is indeed heavy, but it's okay.I wouldn't recommend lifting it if you have serious muscle or joint problems, and I wouldn't want to drop it on my foot, but otherwise, go for it.I'm a softie, and if I can handle it, so can you.

As for not being able to put the griddle in the dishwasher:I don't believe I'm going to say this, but I don't care about having to handwash it.The griddle cleans so easily, a few swipes and I'm done.If I forget to clean it and wake up to it the next morning (okay, so I'm not Suzy Homemaker), I just lay it straight across the top of my sink -not IN the sink, but rather, balanced from edge to edge, on top . . . and I run a little water over it, let it set for a few minutes, and it'seasy to clean.

A word of advice:Just as it says in the instructions, you need to clean the griddle without soap (water only) to preserve the pre-seasoned finish. However, should you want to use soap, you can. There are instructions included in how to re-season the griddle -it's easy.

I frankly didn't like the idea of not cleaning with soap.I didn't feel as though the germs were destroyed . . . but soap doesn't really kill germs, it merely works as a surfactant that makes water wetter so things become easier to clean.

If you want to kill germs, heat is one of the best ways to do it.Every time you use the griddle, you preheat it on the range for about five minutes or so -you're killing far more germs than if you had used soap!

You can also rub your griddle with a very light coating of oil, stick it in a hot oven and disinfect it that way (this is also similar to how you reseason it).

This is one of the easiest, most wonderful kitchen tools I own.It is a breeze to use, I feel like a pro flipping all that food around.Everything comes out great, and it is very easy to use, and food does not stick.

I have since added six more pieces of cast iron to my collection, one triangle cornbread/scone, a round muffin/biscuit, and four cast iron skillets. Two of the skillets are antique -talk about well-seasoned!I do not use the bread/muffin bakers as much as I thought I would, but I use the skillets almost every day.I love them.

PS:I remember reading somewhere that using cast iron also adds iron to your diet -not sure how true or how much, but if it does, it is a nice extra, yes?

Goodness I see two chief complaints posted here: First, some people say it's heavy. Well, yes, it is. It's over 200 square inches of iron, folks. The weight is clearly advertised, so I'm having a hard time understanding this complaint. The second complaint some have is uneven heating. Lodge could fix that all they have to do is make it thicker and much heavier, and even more people would be unhappy about the weight.

Since the number of comments about the weight and the uneven heating seem about equal, I'd say Lodge did a great job of hitting a happy middle ground. Personally, I count on a little uneven heating, I'll sear breakfast chops on one end over a high burner and flip eggs on the other over a lower burner I've even been known to run mine on just one burner, cooking on one end and warming on the other. When I was a grill cook, that's how I ran my grill, hotter at one end. You also have to allow for some "settle time" for cast iron compared to aluminum, it's a fairly slow heat conductor, which gives cast iron it's wonderful thermal stability. But it takes time for the heat to distribute, so give it a few minutes.

I can't comment on the factory coating I strip and season the cooking surfaces on all my iron, new or used. I made one modification to mine, which Andrew pointed out I took a dremel and ground a shallow notch in the outer lip of one end of the grease gutter to help pouring the grease out if you do this, be sure to smooth the edges of the notch to avoid heat stress cracks they love to start at sharp corners and don't make it too deep just a small notch makes a big difference when dumping grease.

While I'm at it I'm a heretic a blasphemer an apostate. My confession? I sometimes clean mine with soap to be more precise, detergent, which most modern dish soaps actually are. I think the "no soap" thing is a bit of mythology that's come down to us from Great-Grandma, whose dish soap was basically lye and some type of animal fat (my grandma used bacon grease for her soap). So yeah, maybe lye soap was a bad idea, but it had a very different chemistry from today's dish detergents, and as far as I can tell, modern detergent won't touch the baked-on grundge on the bottom of my aluminum and enamel cookware, and they don't touch my properly seasoned iron either. I do always make sure to rinse very thoroughly, and re-oil after cleaning, however, as that thin film of oil is life to cast iron.

I love this grill on the cooktop, but if you want to see this beauty at it's best, and you have at least a 20" charcoal grill, set it on your charcoal grate and have some fun. I don't think mine ever cooled off during the week or so after hurricane Charley, while we had no electricity. I had stocked up on hardwood charcoal before the storm, and as my neighbor's fridges warmed, and their freezers thawed, they kept bringing me food to cook before it spoiled and of course, they shared with the cook. The neighbors saved some of their food, the Lodge grill got quite a workout, and my family ate very well!

It's a well-made product. It's American. And it's a great value. What's not to love? Just don't drop it on your foot did I mention it's heavy?

With all the reviews raving about this griddle, I was quite excited about my purchase.I had planned on using this on my gas range over two burners for cooking pancakes and such. The dimensions of my burners seemed to be a great match for the size of the griddle, but it turned out to be unusable. I returned it.

On many gas ranges this griddle will not lay flat, but will be tippy and unstable. The reason for this is the handle cutouts on the griddle. It is a little hard to explain so I have uploaded a video to illustrate.

If it weren't for the cutout handles, this griddle would be perfect and would work on a much larger set of stove top ranges. However, the current design limits its use for many potential users.

Other than that, the quality appears good. I have several other Lodge products and have been happy with them.

Update: I didn't measure the dimensions between the inside edges of the handles before I returned it. This would be helpful those considering this griddle. If anyone has this griddle, if they could post this measurement in the comments, that would be great.

I just received my griddle last week and I've been using it daily with excelent results every time. Mine arrived with a few minor scratches on the preseasoning but all of them seem to be disappearing quite soon (I spray a little pam all over the griddle before using it). I cooked some hamburgers on the grill side which turned out delicious and they got those great grill marks on them also. I've had no sticking problems at all with this thing so far. Cleanup is easy providing you have a stiff brush, a large sink and the strong arms required to carry it from the stove to the sink every time you wash it (this thing weighs 15 pounds). I highly recommend this griddle to anyone, it's very well constructed and looks like it will last a lifetime with proper care.

I've owned this grill for over a year now, and I want to let you know how it has worked out so far.

It fits over two burners, so it's great for cooking several items at once.It heats evenly but tends to overheat a little with the burner at the highest setting.(DUH!).Even then, I have not experience damage to my stove-top.

I love the way it "releases" everything it cooks.I have cooked the best Japanese style grilled beef/potatoes, South American arepas and cachapas, and everything in between. You name it, it can do it!.Even after I grill fish, or anything which makes a mess, all you do is pour some water on it while it's hot, and wipe it down with a terry cloth. No soap is needed. Then I cover the surface with a light oil rub and it's ready for storing. In fact, mine sits on the stove top for the most part, and it blends nicely with my kitchen.I recommend that for older folks having difficulty lifting it.You practically never have to move it, if you don't want to.

I live in a condominium and chose not to buy a patio grill.I don't need it with this grill.

I bought another for my sister!!

Emeril by All-Clad E8844564 Restaurant Chef's 5-Quart Stainless Steel Dutch Oven Cookware, SilverI got this exact pot elsewhere, but since everybody reads Amazon reviews, decided to enter mine here. It's a satisfactory quality pot, it cleans well, too. The only problem is that the lid doesn't fit tight enough it is loose andthere is a gap all around, so it makes it more difficult to strain (I lost some of spaghetti), and it takes longer to bring pot to a boil. Also, lid handle gets very hot.
