Wolfgang Puck Indoor Electric Reversible Grill & Griddle
Finally found this Wolfgang Puck. Perfectly flat eggs don't roll at all, staying in a circle. Gets hot enough to make really good pancakes and is big enough to make four. Haven't tried the grill side yet.
Surface heating seems to be uniform. I browned all four pancakes to the same level of 'brownness'.
UPDATE (June 2010):
The numbers on the thermostat wash off within 6 months. You will not be able to determine temperature settings. Manufacturer is unresponsive.

I like it.The next best thing to a commercial-grade grill. The entire surface temperature appears to be even as I don't see a difference in how quickly items cook on one side versus the other or the edges versus the middle.Any griddle you buy will be a pain to clean (isn't cleaning ALWAYS a PAIN?) but this one cleans relatively easy. The griddle/grill lifts off the base and there is a drip-pan underneath that is also removable.
Only problem I have, which is not really a problem with the griddle, is that I can't be running too many items in the kitchen while I use it because it will trip the Kitchen Outlets' circuit breaker.

This is the greatest griddle we have ever owned. We love how it cooks food evenly. The only complaint is the product itself wasn't in mint condition. The black plastic around the handle areas had many little chips. Unless pointed out they are barely noticeable.Seems like a manufacturing flaw not damage from shipment. This was the second one reshipped and it had the same flaws on it.

I purchased this double griddle/grill when my past griddle bit the dust. While the previous had been just for pancakes or maybe eggs, this is something we use all the time.
First, it's super easy to clean (easier than my panini maker!), mainly because you can lift the center cooking unit out of the holding rack and clean it alone, instead of one gigantic thing to clean at once. When you lift it out you can wash it easily. The nonstick coating isn't the cheap kind...this feels more like a real cast iron coating that is heavy and not going to chip into your food (however, I still use plastic utensils so as to not scratch it).
The chrome rack that holds it all is lightweight and usually stays clean when you cook, so just a wipe with a towel is fine...it doesn't get meat juices or grease on it because of the design.
The heat distributes evenly across the top, leaving no hot spots. The controls are pretty precise, not jumping from 300 to 400 but giving you some incremental changes that are helpful.
We use it cook chicken breasts and steaks, cuban sandwiches (weigh down with a brick), breakfast foods, etc. We've also used it to quickly heat tortillas and make homemade corn tortilla chips by cutting them into triangles and placing on a very hot lightly greased flat side.Justa few seconds and a flip and they come out like corn chips without the oil.
One suggestion would be to make sure you realize how wide it is...about 24", and about 15" deep.So it's pretty big for your countertop.
Hope this is helpful to you!

Bought this heavy-duty omelette pan on AMZN: it's terrific!Used medium heat (electric glass top stove) and light spray of canola oil to produce a wonderfully puffy omelette. No sticking, no burning! This made-in-USA pan is so much better than the cheaper light-weight Chinese import that I previously bought (also from AMZN).Read Best Reviews of Nordic Ware Italian Frittata and Omelette Pan Here
We ordered two of these pans and upon delivery one of the pans had come apart. In preparing to use the other it too came apart. It appears the manufacturing process does not properly connect the two sections. It's possible one came apart due to shipping but the other appeared okay until we handled it.
They look like great pans but it can present a safety hazard if it were to separate during usage.

This is one of the products I bought not because I needed them but because I thought I could use them. Often this behavior turns out to be a waste of money not this time!Making omelette is now so much easier. You just fill beaten eggs in both of the compartments (2-5 eggs total) and put some stuffing on top of one side (make it on the bottom side!). Then you quickly close the lid as soon as the egg starts getting white on the surface and after a few minutes you have a nice omelette.
The quality is great nothing loose, the mechanism closes very tight and the handles are crafted very smooth. Cleaning is easy too because it is well coated. Just take care to not use any metal in it. I find myself not using any tools for the whole process because you can just flip the product out on a plate once it's cooked.
The only issue (and other reviewers mentioned it too) why I gave just 4 stars is that the handle (especially the small one) gets super hot. I'm not very sensitive but I cannot touch (open/close) it after a few minutes. I always need gloves/a towel to operate it.

Nostalgia Electrics CKM-100 Electric Cupcake Maker
The only silver lining is that we never actually put any batter into the machine! We are now about to put the cupcakes into the oven. My daughter was very disappointed by I had prepared her for the possibility based on the previous review. We will be returning this to the store, as per the manual. Hopefully we can find another cupcake maker that works safely. My daughter received this as a gift and just like some of the other reviews indicated...smoke, burning...a MESS.
Do not buy this!

I received the mini cupcake pan as a Christmas present. I wiped down the machine as directed and lightly coated it with oil as directed. I then turned it on to heat up. Was that ever a mistake! It is now outside because the toxic odor from the bubbling paint and smoke was making my eyes burn terribly. This is a very dangerous appliance and I highly recommend that no one use this. When I called the manufacture I was told that they have had no complaints about this and I must have received the one defective muffin maker. Really? Clearly after reading other reviews that is not the case and I am very unimpressed with Nostalgia Products for being dishonest with me.I am returning this and will not purchse another one ever.Read Best Reviews of Nostalgia Electrics CKM-100 Electric Cupcake Maker Here
Okay, to the reviewer who didn't know it was a mini cupcake machine did you look at the pictures before purchasing? Oh well.I don't understand why people are rating this so negative! I received one for Christmas from a family friend and have had no troubles with it. I wiped it down as instructed before using, sprayed a little Pam for baking on it, added the batter and BOOM! wonderful mini banana nut muffins my first go around. I thought it was too good to be true so I made another batch with chocolate chips the nonstick was awesome! No residual chocolate left in the little molds and they came out perfectly.
I haven't heard or read anything negative about them until I came across it here. Like with all electronics such as this there runs a risk of overheating and electrical issues ( I had one with a foreman grill and yet they're still huge sellers) but I haven't read too much about this machine. I had it plugged in for a good 2 hours and no problems at all. I would recommend this to everyone.

Delonghi Model OS-01 Jumbo Fryer, Sauce Pan and Saute Pan
With high sides and stainless cover, this will also allow oven use to 500 degrees F. The small pot-holder handle 180 dsegree from the main handle allows for ease of both stove-top or oven use. A quality all stainless item for a busy kitchen. Tri-ply on bottom but not sides posed no problem for me. I like the high sides better than a traditional skillet shape.

Cooks Standard Multi-Ply Clad Stainless-Steel 13-Inch Wok with Dome Lid
The whole point of getting a wok is to have a cooking vessel that will transfer the maximum amount of heat into your food. I have a standard carbon steal wok that gets rocket hot in a minute when using my induction burner, so I know the burner is capable of putting out the heat. I also tested out a cast iron pan and it too will get over 700 degrees, though it takes a bit longer to get there. With induction cooking; "metal and mass matters".
The final conclusion is that this is a decent "PAN" for the price. If you are getting this to use on an induction burner, "don't". If you are getting this to use as a "WOK", buy a carbon steel or cast iron wok instead; you'll get better results no matter what source you use to heat up your Mung beans.I bought it mainly because I could not get passed the good price. This is a great wok.Very easy to work with.I thought it would be a bit big for my stove, but it is not.And it has so much room.A few times that the meat had too much liquid in it when I used my 4-qt pan, this wok came to rescue. My stove top is also much cleaner since food does not easily get splashed out of the the pan.Easy clean up as well.

This is the Wok I had wanted for a long time. Finally I got it from Amazon. We cook a lot of vegetables daily, and need a large size fry wok. We've tried several woks and pans, which either aren't stainless or not big enough to hold a large amount of fresh vegetables. This is the best.My husband and I love it very much. It also looks great sitting on the kitchen counter. It is very stable when you stir-fry vegetables and perfect size for the stove and wouldn't waste energy. They are two handles you could hold when the cooking has done. Just remember one thing you need two hands to hold this wok when you try to put cooked food to a plate. You cann't have everything, if you want woks stable it might be heavy. There isn't any problem for me to handle this wok.Read Best Reviews of Cooks Standard Multi-Ply Clad Stainless-Steel 13-Inch Wok with Dome Lid Here
First of all, I was very impressed that such a large pan arrived so well packed and in pristine condition! Here are some other reasons why I am so happy with this purchase:1.All of my cookware is Tramontina 18/10 Stainless Steel Tri-Ply Clad, and I love them, but they do not make a stainless steel clad wok.The Cooks Standard Multi-Ply Clad Stainless-Steel 13-inch Wok looks very similar to the Tramontina line.So displaying it in my kitchen with the rest of my cookware will work out great.I just need to find a space for it, as it is quiet large with the lid.So excited!
2.Due to a wok's outside diameter, I cannot fit one on my smaller burners on the back of my Kenmore glass top stove, as it will hit the back where the controls are.The only way I can use a wok/wok-like pan on my stove, is to get one that has a base diameter that will fit one of my front burners. The smallest burner on the front of my stove is 8 1/2" (my stove manual says I cannot use a pan that is more than one inch larger or smaller than that).Every wok I've found has too small of a base diameter to fit on my front burner (5 1/2-6 1/2" Calphalon, All-Clad, etc.).The Cooks Standard Multi-Ply Clad Stainless-Steel 13-inch Wok was the ONLY stainless steel clad wok that would work, as the part that actually touches the stove is exactly 7 1/2", then it gradually curves out from there.
3.I am also very impressed with the depth of this wok!It can hold a lot of food!
4.The pan is very well balanced, has a nicely shaped handle, and a wonderful helper handle!
5.And lastly, which I think is the most impressive about this wok, is the beautiful domed cover! What a showpiece, as well as a functional pan that is fun to cook in!The mirror finish on the cover, a well as the pan is just gorgeous!

Paula Deen Signature Porcelain 9 & 11 inch Nonstick Skillet Set, Butter
I've been looking for an all purpose skillet set that is versitile and can distribute the heat evenly throughout the bottom of the skillet, these Paula Deen skillets are the best that I've tried and nothing sticks to the bottom.
Like most kitchens, mine has pots and pans from various manufactures, an after shot of my trials to find something that approaches the ultimate cooking surface. I must say this: They are the best that I've tried.
These are some of the attributes:
9-inch open skillet and 11-inch open skillet
Aluminum construction for fast, even heating; speckled, porcelain-enamel exterior; nonstick interior
Dual-riveted, rubberized, stay-cool handles; copper-plated rings for convenient hanging
Hand wash only; oven-safe to 350 degrees F
Limited lifetime warranty
But like most good cooks, you want a lid to preserve the heat, to help in the cooking process, and to preserve the nutrients in your prepared meal, sadly these skillets do NOT come with lids.
But do not fear, I found a perfect match to these wonderful skillets. These are Cuisinart lids, and they make a very good seal, fit like they were made for these skillets, and you can find them here at Amazon, Cuisinart 71-2228CG Chef's Classic Stainless 2-Piece Glass Lid Set.
What more would a good cook want, well I'll leave that question opened.
These Paula Deen skillets are a dream to cook with, even heat distribution making your job much easier and the clean up quick and easy as nothing sticks to these skillets.
An epicurean Bon Appetite

In terms of functionality, these pans do the job they're meant to do, which is why I kept the four star review. In all honesty though, people are buying these pans (and the other Paula Deen sets) because of how they look, which unfortunately doesn't last long. I used the set on a gas stove and the pans were discolored after a dozen or so uses, making them a mucky brown on the bottom and sides which were impossible to remove. The warranty states that discoloration is common. If you're getting these for their look, don't be disappointed when it doesn't last.Swiss Diamond 6424C Covered 10-Inch Non-Stick Cast Aluminum Fry Pan

I have now owned a Swiss Diamond 12 inch, a 10 inch, and an 8 inch frypan for three years.First of all, I learned after purchase, that the coating used is the same product as Teflon, just not the brand. It is like buying generic medicines which can be exactly the same thing, but if you think you are avoiding Teflon coatings, that is not true. What appears to be true is the unique way it is applied to the fry pan.Just like Teflon, my Swiss Diamond pans have lost their non-stick property. They are still heavy, quality, expensive cooking utensils, just no longer non-stick.My cast iron fry pans ARE still non-stick.
Ecolution Elements Eco-Friendly Fry Pan Triple Packs
I purchased these pans to replace my old T-fal and other non-stick pans with a safer alternative. I have been very pleasantly surprised with these pans. They are the best non-stick surface I've ever had. I also own a Cuisinart pan with a PFOA free coating, and these have a much better "non-stick".
I also have some Ecolution pans which I purchased from a brick and mortar store, and discovered that there are different "lines" of the Ecolution pans. The ones sold here are lighter weight than the other ones I have purchased, but they were also slightly lower in price. I have not seen any noticeable difference in cooking between the two different kinds of pans.

I like that these pans are eco friendly and do not have the dangers attributed with teflon when it starts to break down and peel after extended use or exposed to excessive heat. I do use my pans on gas heat on a Jenn Air stove top, and recently they have emitted a strong "burnt plastic" smell.I really have no idea if this is due to using too high of heat or if this is what happens after extended use.Read Best Reviews of Ecolution Elements Eco-Friendly Fry Pan Triple Packs Here

EDIT 12/12/12:
We've now had this pan for over two and a half years and use it almost daily. The handle hasn't loosened at all and the pan still cleans up great. I think it's a nice pan.
It's not my first stainless steel pan. I seasoned it every time I use it. This pan do the job well, however...
1. outside rim always have some weird spots that seems always stick with something. I always carefully clean it with non-scratch pads and well seasoned the area. Sometimes, after cooking, I can find the same spots has something stuck on it and very hard to remove... So, -1 star. The rest of area is very good. nothing stick after you soak inside water during cleaning.
2. it's not really this item's fault, it's the problem of the stainless steel: It never burn my steak like my Enamaled Cast Iron or Teflon pans. no point is taken from this tho...

While searching I found quite a few stainless steel pans had a machined cooking surface, for reasons I can't fathom. This one is polished.I was searching for a 10" covered stainless steel fry pan but decided I didn't want to pay that much, so I gave this a try.All I have to do is to spray this with Pam or another non-stick spray, and it works flawlessly.None of the food I've cooked sticks to this pan.
I do have to scrub the pan with a scrubber sponge after cooking meat on it; my dishwasher doesn't get it completely clean, though it is about 30 years old.Yours may do better. But it's not hard to clean.I'm satisfied with this pan, but eventually I'll probably get one with a cover.

I love this thing. But I have two caveats.(1) I wish the lid were ventable.(2) I wish the handle on the lid were designed to reduce heat. It's a hassle to have to put on a mitt just to lift the lid.I use this pan just about everyday. The size is great for frying bacon because you can spread the bacon out. I cook meat dishes that need to be finished in the over, it is great for that. It cleans up with just a Dawn on a sponge and a rinse and it is ready to go to the next dish. I would definitely recommend this skillet and any other Cuisinart Nonstick Hard-Anodized cookware. I am giving an Cuisinart everyday pan to a friend for Christmas.
It's exactly what I was looking for and the price can't be beat. I was looking in stores for a simple skillet like this and I could not find anything that didn't cost a fortune. I don't cook very much, so for me it wasn't worth investing in very expensive cookware. I would recommend it. So far so good.

She moved out again 7 months after the pans had been received and took them with her.The pans were stored in my closet and had never been opened.
She told me that when she took them out of the box, the handle on the large pan was broken off.It is too late for a return.
I guess I cannot comment on the use of these pans, but do not wait to check the pans if they are to be a gift.
All-Clad Copper-Core Saute Pans
I never worry about things sticking to the bottom of the pot.The trick is to heat the pan on low to medium-low heat for a few minutes before putting oil in the pot, and then letting the oil heat for a few minutes until it begins to smoke.
Stainless steel is much easier to clean than either hard-anodized aluminum or copper.Getting it clean enough to use is a breeze, although personally, I insist on scrouring it until it shines like new simply because I like this pot so much.
Oh, and if you regularly cook for more than 1-2 people, you'll need a bigger version of this pot.I rarely do, and even so, I find this pot to be a little bit on the small side.
I think I'm a little crazy for buying this. I just had to find out if the copper-core was really better than an aluminum one. It is, but not by that much. You can buy a pan from Cuisinart's Multiclad series that will do the same thing almost as well for a much cheaper price.
That being said, this thing is very well designed. The rolled-lip is useful for pouring. The radius of curvature where the bottom meets the sides is large enough to allow for utensils to easily get in there (a problem with most pans). The handle stays cool and is well designed. Overall, this is the best 2-quart saute pan money can buy. Is it worth it? That's up to you.

I own the 3 quart version of this pan, which measures almost 11" across and has plenty of room for meals for 2-4 people.I also own the 10" Copper Core frying pan, which gets more use than this pan because it's lighter, browns a little better, and the sloping sides make the food easier to handle in the pan. This saute pan does an admirable job of browning, though, and the high sides are essential for foods that will finish their cooking in liquid. If you can only afford one pan from the Copper Core line, I'd suggest this one over the frying pan, because it's more versatile.I've found that the space available in the 3-quart saute is roughly equivalent to an All-Clad 12" frying pan, plus it comes with a lid, making this a great option for those just starting out with Copper Core.

Been cooking seriously (some restaraunt, some very large large extended family) for 40+ years. I have good old cast iron, Bourgeat Jaques Pepin in very heavy copper with indestructable stainless linings and cast iron handles (20 years plusmy benchmark.)I have Cuisinart from the old days (10" griddle with !/8 copper in base et al.), and old Demeyere with true (coarse) stick resistant (not as stick resistant as Teflon, but its lasted 15 years,), new Demeyere premium level non-stick (shows scratches already), and various Spring Bros, Paderno, Mauviel, All-Clad Excalibur, etc. Jerks quickly destroyed my enameled cast iron,I don't think present non-stick is conscionable: Cooks Illustated top-rated a pan that lasted about 50 usesgive me a break.Useful magazine but think what's his name with the bow tie is ultimate pretentious fop.
