Wolfgang Puck 12" Covered Non-Stick Everything Pan

Wolfgang Puck 12' Covered Non-Stick Everything PanI was actually looking for a reasonably priced pan in the 14" size before coming to the conclusion that 12" was as large as I was going to find if I wanted an included glass lid. Not being familiar with Wolfgang Puck cookware, I went to a store to "put my hands on it". This pan was sold out but I was able to look at other Puck items and they all seemed to be well made and well designed. The prices in the store made buying on line a much better deal.

Shipping was more than reasonable free and the pan arrived within a few days of ordering.

I skimmed through the paperwork and noted the key points.

The pan has a clad bottom and heats very evenly. I have noticed that it does not require as high a heat setting as my other pans. It does take a few minutes to come up to temperature; paperwork says to pre-heat. The non-stick surface seems to be very durable and is quite easy to clean but I have noticed that it is getting worn on the very upper rolled edge of the pan. This is a minor disappointment that has no effect on the function of the pan but I could not give the pan five stars because of this issue.

On to the handles...

Obviously the pan is different in that instead of having one long handle it has two man hand sized handles on either side. Though I keep pot holders handy I have yet to find a heat setting that requires them. This design does take some getting use to. Your hand is turned slightly different when steadying the pan wile turning food. You have to use two hands to move the pan a distance. This actually seems to be safer and less awkward than moving the one long handle style pan. I have found that the weight in the pan is balanced so I can't really call having to use two hands a draw back. This pan is much simpler to store than my one handle pans and always stores flat. The glass lid protects the nonstick surface if stacked.

Over all I am very pleased with the performance of the pan. I am also pleased with the entire purchase experience and feel like the value for my dollar is good.

At first this pan was great, I used it for everything. I always hand washed it & never used metal cooking utensils. I purchased this item on 03/01/2011 it is now 02/16/2012 & I can no longer use this pan because the non stick finish is peeling so badly.I recently purchased a new pan to replace this one & it is not wolf gang puck. I was trying to find out if there is a warranty on this pan but haven't found any information yet. Great pan until it started peeling.

When they called this the "Everything Pan" they weren't kidding. I keep it on top of my induction cooktop, ready to make anything at a moment's notice: Breakfast omelet, scrambled hamburger and onions for lunch, pork chops and sauerkraut for dinner. Cleanup is just a swish under the hot water, a quick drying, then back to its home on the range. This was a great buy and the Wolfgang Puck quality is top-notch.

Have used this several times...it is replacing 2 other pans of the same size that I've worn out.It works well for everything from eggs in the morning to dinner in the evening and works well if you are serving company buffet style. It cleaned up in a breeze!!!My only issue is that has alread developed a scratch in the coating... If you have have never had a pan like this I'm sure you will find it as useful as I have...I could almost never put it away and just leave it on my black glass cooktop as it looks so nice. The price was nice also.

Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick 8-Inch Omelet Pan with Glass Lid

Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick 8-Inch Omelet Pan with Glass LidHaving so many other pans lose the non-stick surface after just a short time, it made "cents" for us to finally get one that would last. This is the perfect size for two for an omelet, or some chicken or fish. This is one of very few small pans that comes with a lid that and the excellent quality overall makes this pan well worth the price. And Amazon? The first pan we received was scratched! But it was obvious the scratch occurred when Calphalon packed the cover upside down before putting it in its own packaging, not from anything Amazon did. For this price, I expect a "perfect" item. Returns with Amazon are painless! A few clicks of the mouse and I printed out the return label; re-packed the pan and sent it back. BUT! Amazon had sent us a new pan which arrived at least a day BEFORE Amazon received our return! Amazon was one of the very first online merchants we started shopping with nearly from their first year. We are very satisfied customers who plan to stay Amazon customers. Thanks!

I have had this for some time now long enough to have made over a dozen omelets (which is all I've used it for) and it's been just great. Nice weight and feel, and thenon-stick is flawless.

UPDATE after two years:

This is my favorite kitchen pan. In addition to omelets, I use it to pan fry steaks. And it is so esthetically pleasing I leave it on the stove when I'm not using it just to show it off. Best pan ever!

I recently purchased a frying pan (Calphalon). It is just the right size and food fries beautifully in it. The cover that comes with it is so convenient and saves alot of splattering from the pan. I would definetly order another product like this.

After buying cheaper skillets over a number of years only to have the coating scratch and start to peel, I was delighted with the Calphalon skillets.I have had 2 of the skillets for almost 2 years now and haven't a scratch on either one of them.Great product. My only complaint is the handle on the lid tends to get too hot to handle with out a mitt or hot pad but feel that is a minor point overall.

This pan is a nice size for cooking eggs.Unfortunately the handle is really short -I would not want to use it if we cooked on a gas stove. The lid fits/works great.Overall a decent non-stick pan, but the handle should be longer.

PAN Grill-it

PAN Grill-itThe PAN Grill-it is an amazing product.Grilling has never been more simple, versatile, or delicious. We've used the PAN Grill-it at home for breakfast (french toast), lunch (panini's), and dinner (hamburgers, steaks, fish, chicken, kabobs etc..) and have gotten excellent results each time.Tailgating is now easier than ever since we don't have to lug our grill around and clean up is a breeze. The biggest plus for our family is that it's chemical free, providing a much healthier alternative. We'll be using PAN Grill-it for years and years to come.

My family and I really enjoy grilling with this product. The pictures do no justice as to how high-tech this product and design really is. I know what I'm getting my friends and family for Christmas this year. Cast Iron Cookware made in the USA. Congratualations on a wonderful new cooking idea and product.

After finding out I couldnt use my mini charcoal grill on my apartment balcony, I needed to find a way to grill inside.

I was cooking on my Lodge cast iron pan, and while looking for another cast iron grill pan, i stumbled across this.

It works pretty good, but is a tad hard to clean, and takes a while to heat up.

The seller threw in a free handle mitt and scrubber, which was very nice of them.

Lodge Logic L8DOT3 Pre-Seasoned Cast-Iron Meat Rack/Trivet, 8-inch

Lodge Logic L8DOT3 Pre-Seasoned Cast-Iron Meat Rack/Trivet, 8-inchFirst of all it's Lodge. It's cast iron. It's American. These are all good things.

But I had to chuckle at a couple of the applications the other reviewers had for this handy little item. This isn't one of the first kitchen implements that you might put on your wish list, but it's surprisingly versatile.

Yes, you can put it in the bottom of your dutch oven, put your meat on top and let the fat drain. Yes, it's obviously a trivet. But I've also used it as a meat press yeah, Lodge makes a couple of presses, and one of these days... but in the meantime, flip at upside down on your bacon and it works fine.

I've also used it as a grilled sandwich press. Put it on a medium burner, toss your sandwich in your skillet, or griddle, then (with tongs or welding gloves) plop this little trivet on top of your sandwich. A couple of experiments is all it takes to get the right amount of heat to brown the top of your sandwich. If you need more weight, put some water in a saucepan and set it on the trivet the "legs" on the trivet keep the saucepan from cooling the trivet and your sandwich is nicely smushed.

But the weirdest use of all time? Olive pitter. No, I'm not kidding. I was making a salad the other night, and I wanted to chop some black olives into it. I grabbed a can of olives and opened it, only to discover that my wife had bought un-pitted olives. I hate pitting olives, but I started in, when my eye was caught by this little trivet and all those interesting holes. I grabbed the trivet, put an olive on end over one of the small holes and pushed with my thumb the pit jumped through the hole and left the meat on the other side. I grabbed a bowl, put the trivet on top and went through that can of olives in no time. Hint the holes are beveled, and the olives sit very nicely in the bevel, but they don't pit as well turn the trivet over and use the "flat" side of the hole.

So there you have it. A kitchen gadget with half-a-dozen uses for ten bucks. How can you go wrong?

I use this trivet over my gas stove burners or barbeque to heat tortillas like my grandmother used too. Also works great to fire roast chiles and peppers for salsa.

Just received my Lodge Meat Rack/Trivet. It arrived in perfect condition and shipping was fast and free. For those who complain about the legs being too short to keep the food out of it's juices please understand that's not it's purpose. It's designed to elevate the food just enough to keep it from scorching. If the legs were longer the same people would complain that it takes up too much room. If you must keep the meat out of the juices make 4 large balls from foil and place those under the meat rack.

Want Lodge Logic L8DOT3 Pre-Seasoned Cast-Iron Meat Rack/Trivet, 8-inch Discount?

If you cook some things in your dutch oven in a cake pan, put this in the bottom of the dutch oven first and it will help keep the bottoms of your cakes and biscuits from scorching--or put it under your roasts or chickens to keep them out of the fat that accumulates at the bottom of the pot.Because of the size, you can use it in all your dutch ovens over 8".It won't work as a trivet for a camp-style oven (with legs) because it's too small, but it's a compact, useful trivet for other hot pans and pots.

Calphalon Triply Stainless Steel 12-Inch Stir Fry with Cover

Calphalon Triply Stainless Steel 12-Inch Stir Fry with CoverThis is a great wok. I own Calphalon nonstick cookware, knives and am very happy with the brand.I saw this wok on Amazon and bought it to replace a brand-nameless nonstick wok that I bought on a whim at a discount store. Despite what a prior reviewer said, I found this wok to be of good quality. The lid has a substantially thicker rim and is heavier than the glass/metal lids on my Calphalon nonstick set. The wok itself is not too heavy (which is why I bought it) and is big enough to make a meal for 4-6.I found it heated well and I was able to cook on a gas burner just-under-medium heat and my wok heated quickly and cooked the food quickly as well. I generally don't put too much heat under my woks (unless the recipe requires it)as I would under my other stainless steel pots as the wok always seems to cook very well with little heat. So I had no problem with hot handles as my burner was not that high. When I was done cooking, I left the remaining food in the wok as I ate dinner and the food did not stick to the sides as I have had happen with other woks.It was easy to clean with a non-scratch sponge hours after I had finished cooking.

Its been a week since I started using this pan and I absolutely love it! This was my first transition from non-stick to stainless steel, and so I was very uncertain about how the experience would be, whether stuff would stick and I'd have to use a lot of oil. However, its been much easier than I expected. From the get go, I followed other users' suggestion to heat the pan thoroughly before adding oil or any other ingredient, and it has worked very well for me. I've cooked all our family meals for the past week in this pan and its been great! Highly recommend it.

Buy Calphalon Triply Stainless Steel 12-Inch Stir Fry with Cover Now

It is a well-designed and sturdy wok. I have gone through several nonstick woks by T-Fal and Calphalon.I have destroyed them all using them at high heat. This Calphalon pan is very sturdy and handles the high heat. However, even with preheating the pan before putting in the oil, I find that the food still sticks to the bottom of the pan.I think that like other stainless steel pans, it doesn't distribute the heat as well as aluminum pans or even a traditional carbon steel wok. Also, it came with a nice sturdy glass lid.I wish the lid had came with a hole to release the steam.

I am satisfied with it though. It is easy to clean.I would not recommend washing it in the dishwasher--it will scratch the outside surface of the pan.

Bayou Classic 7436, 10.5" Cast Iron Square Skillet

Bayou Classic 7436, 10.5' Cast Iron Square SkilletASIN:B000VXIQY8 Bayou Classic 7436, 12" Cast Iron Square Skillet]]

I thought I was really smart. I went in the kitchen and measured a skillet to see how large 12" would be. WELL, I was reallyupset when I got it.{You have to measure from corner to corner.} It was smaller than I had thought. For a good iron skillet ,it's a good buy. But, I can only get 2 chops in it at one time.

Please do not buy this skillet. I purchased the skillet for a gift for my mother-in-law. when she received it the skillet was cracked beside the handle and you could see right through the skillet. Not only that but the quality of the item was very poor not an even thickness to the cast iron at all. Rough felling. I would stay away from this skillet save your money.

I thought I was buying a 12" square pan.I searched on other websites to find more info about size but even Bayou Classic does not give the size.Other sites were also off.I gave faith to Amazon and ordered the pan.

Here are the real measurements:

Outside lip 10.4" square

Inside at the top 9.9" square

Inside at the bottom 8.6" square

Corner to corner, it does measure 12" at the top edge

Corner to end of handle, 16.8" long.

Basically the pan is the same size as the Lodge 10 1/4" square pan.

It felt lighter in weight compared to the Lodge square pan, which can be good, you get the same results of cast iron, but lighter for better handling. You do need to season it.

I have other Bayou Classic pieces and the quality is not quite the Lodge quality but the price you can't beat to get the same cooking results. I plan to buy other Bayou Classics again.

My hint about seasoning: use shortening all over the cast iron, in and outside, heat the cast iron on a gas barbecue at medium-high heat for about an hour, it will rival the quality of pre-season cast iron.I have tried the oven method and I don't think it is worth it to smoke-up the kitchen and it just does not get the cast iron seasoned well enough.

Now I think I'm thankful it didn't. The corner handle seemed like it would be more convenient, but I was specifically looking for a square 12" skillet, and NOT diagonally! That is misleading advertising, unless you're selling tv sets, which everyone knows are measured diagonally.

Kuhn Rikon 2 1/2-Liter Stainless Steel Pressure Cooker

Kuhn Rikon 2 1/2-Liter Stainless Steel Pressure CookerWe have had a 5.25 qt Kuhn Rikon pressure cooker for 4 years, for daily use that one was a bit big to handle. We were looking for a smaller 2.5 to 4 qt pressure cooker for quick one time portion meals for 34 people. We tried other brands, both for money savings and variety, and after being disappointed with the construction and quality returned them promptly. We decided to plunge again into Kuhn Rikon, ordered this 2.5 qt Pressure Cooker. Wife is happy appropriate for small, quick meals, is easy to handle, clean, and store. It feels and looks solidly constructed which makes it slightly on the heavier side for it's size.

If you are already familiar with pressure cooking then Kuhn Rikon is the best in class, and if you are already aware of Kuhn Rikon, there is nothing more to add. If the size is right for you, it will serve many, many years.

I've had a the 2L model for four years, and never had to replace any parts.I left that one at my second home so I will never be without one, and just purchased this 2.5L here. What seems like a loose screw on top is a simple, responsive and sturdy pressure release valve. The plastic handles would only melt if one were using a flame that extends beyond the sides of the pan.By heating it up at medium heat and reducing it to extra low once full pressure is reached, the flame will be nowhere near the sides of the pan, especially on this wider 2.5L model. This takes only a couple of minutes so I see no need for a roaring flame.Dual handles allow you to move the pan while hot, or hold it to run cool water from the tap over the edges for immediate pressure release when desired. The base is very thick so there is no burning of contents. The steam inside reduces all sticking and the lid comes off quite clean.I have electric rice cookers but almost always use the Kuhn Rikon instead because it is much faster and the texture of the rice is better. Only 25 minutes for brown rice, 5 minutes for white.

Buy Kuhn Rikon 2 1/2-Liter Stainless Steel Pressure Cooker Now

Right from the get-go this pressure frying pan worked great. I felt sort of on my own because there aren't a lot of pressure frying recipes out there. But I am an experienced pressure cooker user so I felt fairly confident jumping in. One of my favorites is slow-roasted tomatoes, 2 hours or so in the oven 7 minutes in the PC frying and I couldn't tell the difference. A beautiful job of frying potatoes, 5 minutes prep, 2-3 minutes browning potatoes, 5 minutes PC and you're ready to go. In other words you can brown and pressure cook with oil with this pan and when you add water, you add a lot less than with a regular PC. it's a well-made unit which you would expect for the price.

Those are the pros, the cons:

Instruction book inferior like many from Europe. Almost nothing about the frying pan and I find some of the suggested times to be a bit off too. Recipe book mixes in a few frying pan recipes with regular PC recipes which makes them hard to find. They need a separate frying pan instruction book and separate recipes for FP.

There is a little safety valve which comes unattached to the top. Difficult to find clear instructions on how to attach and once attached has a tendency to fall off. Poor design.

because of 'dimpled' bottom of FPPC no trivet is included as with other KR PC's.( Dimpled bottom supposedly acts as a trivet.) But some of FP recipes call for a trivet so it should be included.

Revere 3514027 2-Quart Covered Saucepan

Revere 3514027 2-Quart Covered SaucepanI fondly remember growing up with Revere cookware during the '50s and '60s.It was sturdy and manufactured with care to precise measurements.Unfortunately, this is NOT the same product.Apparently, Revere cookware is now being manufactured in some third-world dumpster. The overall construction is flimsy; it bends and dents easily.None of the lids fit properly. The unreasonably thin "copper-cladding" was unevenly applied and looks like a roller-coaster ride around the sides of the saucepans.Revere needs to clean-up its act, or go out-of-business.

I ordered 2 of these 2-quart saucepans because I had owned them and liked them in the past.I only threw them out after letting them boil dry and turn into molten lava. The pans that I bought in September 2005 were manufactured in China and did not measure up to the past quality of those made in the USA and Korea. The interiors are oddly rough and the knob on the top of one of the covers has a sharp edge. These pans are worth the $15.33 I paid for each of them and not a penny more.

I was happy to find this item for sale, but it is of such poor quality that I am returning it.The bottom is so thin that the stamp shows through to the inside, and it is also raised to the touch. You can pop the bottom in and out with very little pressure. It looks much like the one I bought in the 1990s, but the quality is very inferior.I feel that the claim of "even heat distribution" is false. Disappointing for Corning.

All the good reviews seem to be from 2005 and earlier.

I was so relieved to find my beloved Revere pans online....until I got them in the mail. I have owned Revere pans for 32 years and my youngest pans are 12 years old. I wanted to replace some of the oldest ones, but after seeing the poor quality of these new Revere pans, I am sending them back. When I compared them to the pans in my kitchen, the new ones were lighter weight, thinner handles, and flimsy connections from the handle to the pan. So disappointing. These are a bad buy.

This pan gets the most use of any in my kitchen. It's got a good depth so that when whisking sauces and gravies they don't spatter over the edge and mess up the cooking surface.I especially like that there are inserts made to fit this pot, including the steamer which is less of a hassle than the old expandable baskets. The lid fits nicely even after ten years. This pan requires a little extra effort to keep looking nice, but a swipe with some copper/stainless steel cleaner keeps it looking pretty much like new. Some sauces with a high milk content tend to burn slightly at the bottom. This is a good basic saucepan.

All-Clad Copper Core 2-Quart Saucier Pan with Lid

All-Clad Copper Core 2-Quart Saucier Pan with LidI have had this pan for almost a year now and I have been very impressed with its performance. It was my first piece of All Clad and I bought it because I wanted a copper pan with the maintenance ease of stainless steel.I was a bit skeptical that it would have the same temperature response that a regular copper pan has, but I'm pleased to report that it does.I can take liquids from a roiling boil down to a non-boil and back again literally instantaneously by turning the burner knob (I have a gas stove)-the pan is that responsive. Also, the heat is conducted uniformly all the way up the sides -you can put your finger along the top edge of the exposed copper sandwich and feel the heat transferred immediately when you turn on the burner. Since it is so responsive, you generally need to use a lower heat setting than with a regular aluminum/stainless pan or food will burn. This pan is a joy to cook with -the shape is like a flat bottomed mixing bowl and is great for rice pilaf, lentils, and small sautes. It is well balanced and light weight enough to do real saute cooking where you toss and flip the ingredients in the pan -and the higher sides prevent the food from inadvertently escaping. It is relatively easy to clean, although rice and lentils will leave a residue which requires Bar Keepers Friend cleanser to completely remove. Also, the exposed copper will become tarnished from heat and steam, but it is easy to clean with the cleanser. Overall, I am extremely pleased with this purchase and would recommend the Copper Core line to anyone wanting the performance of copper cookware.

Performs just as well as its 1-quart cousin, only the rivets are more proportionate and don't get in the way of your stirring. This thing gets hot fast, and that heat carries all the way up the sides, so you need to make sure you keep them scraped down (anything left stuck to them during cooking, including oil, will bake right on and become very difficult to remove without harsh abrasives that can damage the finish) and always use a towel or pot holder when grabbing for the lid--it will be nearly as hot as the pan itself.

I think anyone who makes candies or custards should own this thing. The evenness of heating is tough to beat and that smooth slope on the bottom makes getting your stirring implement down into those corners a trivial task.

This review is for the 3 qt saucier.

I was looking for a 3 qt vessel and was waffling between the saucepan and the saucier.I ended up with this saucier and I am very happy with my decision. This is wider and lower than a saucepan and lets me have a better view into the pot.It also has a curved bottom to allow for easier whisking, and it's easier for the heat to come up the sides this way, too.I figure that anything I would need the saucepan for, the saucier will work nicely for as well.I love the shape of it.

The copper core comes with a lip a key feature for me.Also, it comes with a helper loop in this size, which is also important to me.I don't really consider myself a weakling, but carrying around a heavy pot of hot food (especially something liquidy) is just not something I want to do with one long handle alone.

This size comes with a lid (which fits great) and clean-up has been easy even when I accidentally boiled some water dry in it (yikes!).Gotta love Bar Keepers Friend Cookware Cleanser & Polish!

Love it.

T-fal Simply Delicioso Nonstick Dishwasher Safe Hard Enamel Caldero with Glass Lid Cookware

T-fal Simply Delicioso D1835463 Nonstick Dishwasher Safe Hard Enamel 5.5-Quart Caldero with Glass Lid Cookware, BlueWe are the one-pot-meal enthusiastic kind of family and this pot turned to be our best friend immediately. It's actually our second one as the first pot's teflon surface started chipping quite soon. We did not use any sharp tools for stirring, however few times we used the top heat settings, what is not recommended. The rest of our T-fal pots and pans are however holding completely OK, which is maybe also a reason, why this new one arrived with obviously new surfase technology (they probably experienced some more cases with the old one...).

I am not sure if this all writing is understandable therefore the bottomline is:

This product is superb for frying, one potting, gratinating and baking and the 2nd generation teflon surface makes it much more durable than its predecessor.

I bought this product because I liked the color and also loved the glass lid. This pan works so wonderfully, it's the right size for so many dishes! I love the fact that you can see what's cooking without removing the lid and they were very smart with the design putting a hole in there to release the steam. Very clever indeed! Would definitely recommend this to all my friends.

If you saute anything with gas heat at more than low, and who doesn't?, the sides of the pan scorch. I'll live with that because it's a great pan but it does take away a bit from the enjoyment.

Black & Decker G48TD Grill and Waffle Maker

Black & Decker G48TD Grill and Waffle MakerI love this waffle maker! It's like the ones our mom used, not those cheesy seeming plastic things they're making now. It's also got a lot of excellent features that make my life easier.

I'll mention right now that this is a VERY hot waffle maker. They make the plastic ones to be "cool touch".I'll trade the cool touch feature for the sturdier design of this versatile machine. I'm being careful and haven't burned myself yet. But it's something to consider if you'd like your children making waffles. My ten year old could be careful enough, but I keep my five and eight year olds away.

The waffles this machine makes are great! They freeze well too.The family is very happy. When the light goes of the unit is ready to make waffles. Pour in the batter and the light comes on again--wait for it to go off and the waffle is done (however, I usually go on instinct and sometimes pull out the waffle before the light goes off.)

The open grill feature makes wonderful pancakes and fried eggs.I have a big family and it's nice to have two pancakes cook at a shot without taking up all my stovetop!I can have bacon and eggs on the stove and the pancakes on the waffle maker.(I can also have a heart attack if I keep eating all these bacon and eggs!)

The sandwich feature is nice.I can cook two grilled cheese sandwiches at one time getting me out of the kitchen quicker. Some advice--cheese might drip out the side of the sandwich.Just keep the sandwich away from the back of the unit where the cables run in and the mess just wipes off--no problem. The sandwiches cook far more uniformly than they do in a pan on the stove. They taste great.

This unit cleans up easily and changing the grills from waffle to flat is easy.I recommend it over a lot of more costly models if you want more value for your money. This is the most versatile waffle maker I've found and all the features actually work!

I got this one after unsuccessfully trying the Cuisinart waffle maker. It is wonderful!None of the batters, not even gluten-free ones would stick. All waffles came out great, crisp outside and moist inside. The grill feature was a plus and makes great grill cheese or other types or grilled sandwishes in a jiffy.

Back in the 60's I loved the Sundays my Dad made waffles on a toastmaster Waffle/grill. He would add cinnamon, fruit, all kinds of things. Never stuck always light and fluffy. When I went to college my odyssey began. I have gone through 4! different brands and here is why you want this machine Ok Betty Crocker and others may have a beeper but the waffle that comes out could have come out of a toaster, B&D lets you choose on a dark to light waffle 'zone' with a light that goes out when it reaches that temp. Even with a thick from the box batter out came the most fluffy waffle with a Belgium like crust. Take a close look at this baby it's CROME and yes it will get hot, (kids don't touch) but unlike others it CLEANS UP. Overflows are no problem. Just as good a George Forman. And grilled sandwiches were wonderful but I use old world bakery bread with brie and dry salami, again adjust for light and dark. Favorite recipe? Coco for a chocolate waffle and chocolate chip ice cream to make a sandwich. This is an 'open and closed' case and really is space saver 3 in 1 product for our family.

This is a great waffle maker!!Every time we make waffles, they flip right out just like they're supposed to.We haven't had any of them get stuck or had any of the disasters/frustrations that we've had with other waffle irons. It's actually easy to make a waffle again. Can you imagine!?I think the reason why is that the Teflon is good and it gets hot, evenly.

After you get it, my recommendation would be to FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS that comes with it.Just before preheating, brush on some vegetable oil like it says to do.(I guess you can use spray but we've found the oil at first works best.)After that, you won't need anything at all for the other batches. Also, be sure not to mess up the Teflon coating by washing it while it's still hot (let it cool off completely) or by using utensils that will scratch it up, like metal forks and scrubbers. If you take care of this sensitive Teflon, it will take care of you.I think it says not to put it in the dishwasher so you probably don't want to.Both plates, top and bottom, are completely removable and they're really easy to clean with a basic sponge...don't use the scrubby side of the sponge though...you won't need to anyway.

We've made waffles several times already and they've been perfect every time.It DOES get really hot but that's a good thing. We've also flipped it over to the grill side and that's great too. We've made quesadillas, grilled cheese sandwiches, and burgers. For burgers, it has a trench like thing around the border of the grill that the fat collects in.You'll need a little cup or something to catch it where it supposed to drip out.

If you really want it to "drain the fat away" fast like a Forman type grill, just put something under the back left leg to tilt it a bit.Don't put something under the leg that could catch fire though....again, say it with me, "It gets really hot!"We've been placing it on our stove top when we use it...if you have sensitive counter tops, do that too.

If you make a sandwich, keep the grill open and flip the sandwich as needed.Otherwise, your sandwich will get really flat.I think that's it -It really is one of our better purchases lately and so we take good care of it.Oh, and adding a nice amount of vanilla extract to your waffle batter makes them delicious!!(wife said to throw that in) Happy Waffle'n!

This is our second purchase of this same model over many years and have found it to be of good quality, reliable, and attractive square waffle maker. The removable cooking plates make clean up a snap and allows unit to be used for pancakes and sandwich cooking also. The temp control knob can be set to produce desired doneness everytime. I highly recommend this model.

Lodge Signature SS10D Dutch Oven, Black, 4.5-Quart

Lodge Signature SS10D Dutch Oven, Black, 4.5-QuartIn the year I have had this pot I have made some great stews and pot roasts. The capacity is ample to serve 2-4 people. It performs as a good heavy dutch oven should. The Stainless handles add a touch of class to the pot. It has retained it's seasoning without having to re-do.

I'll admit, this is the first dutch oven I have owned/used.But I'm very pleased with it!

The preseasoned surface is better than expected.Cooked foods come off easily; though a deglazing helps greatly. The handles really do stay cool when cooking on the stove top.It is somewhat heavy.Though it reeks of quality and I expect it to last a lifetime.

Would recommend! :)

I have been using Lodge cast iron for years and love the even heating and chemical free non stick surface. Also made in USA. Care is easy and seasoning isn't a big deal. However, I recently installed an induction cooktop and was concerned about scratching. The enameled cast irons do not scratch but to me the enameled/coated insides defeat one of the benefits of cast iron.

I went to Lodge's web site to request they make an induction friendly set with natural cast iron insides and found they already did: the signature series!

I found the pan to be the same great quality of the other lodge pans. The seasoned surface works well but it will need some additional seasoning to get to the same level of my older pans.

The sleek new handles are sharp looking but willget hot with prolonged cooking (ie stovetop soup making). I don't see this as an issue but I also didn't have any issue with the other pans. Just use a potholder.

If you love cast iron and have induction, this pan is for you.

We bought this to add to our collection of the Signature Series cast iron pots.It comes preseasoned which is a real plus. The pot is every thing you would want in a very versitile dutch oven. After a few uses the insides become better than teflon and you don't have to worry about the finish coming off.

Could not be more pleased with this product. The claim to be "pre-seasoned" is not completely true in my mind. It does have a surface ready to cook, but it will take use and care to develop a true hard carbon non stick seasoned characteristic... but it will and it will become something my kids will fight over when I am gone.

Tumbleweed Pottery Microwave Egg Scrambler

Tumbleweed Pottery Microwave Egg ScramblerThis cooker was exactly what I was looking for! I love that it's not plastic, and it's just the right size for 2 eggs plus any scrambler additions (ie: cheese, meat, veggies). It also makes great over medium and over hard eggs. Just don't scramble them, and cook them (1min @ a time) until they're cooked the way you like them.

Plus, the eggs slide right out of the bowl and onto your plate with the use of just a tiny bit of butter or spray. Really great product!

I've used the plastic egg microwave cookers for years and have worried about them emitting nasty chemicals just as long. I was looking for a safe microwave dish and I believe this is it. I use it with redi-egg whites to cut the cholesterol. Spray some pam in the bottom first and clean-up is a cinch. Also add a touch of butter for flavor. The little egg handle will help you pick it up. I love this dish!

the tumbleweed microwave egg scrambler arrived as described and works as described the problem is me I don't know what possessed me to buy an over sized ashtray to scrambled eggs in the microwave when I have larger pottery bowls that I have purchased from the 99 cent store.

Why market this as a "scrambler" when it's just a bowl?I mean, really? It doesn't scramble anything for anyone.PLUS, it's about $5 cheaper on their website.Pretty lame if you need this to cook your eggs in the microwave.Just Google recipes online.

BTW, five stars because if I put ONE, someone will complain. This way they get confuse.
