Zwilling TruClad Stainless Steel 12 inch Fry Pan

Zwilling TruClad Stainless Steel 12 inch Fry PanI've reviewed many of the Zwilling Truclad items and noted each time the wonderful quality, weight, value for the price (I know it seems high if you're used to Kitchenaid, celebrity cookware, etc. but these are heading into another level of cookware akin to All Clad where trust me the prices seem like a STEAL) but the one complaint I had is that on their larger pots/pans (specifically this and the 4 quart saucepot) they haven't put on a helper handle. With the extra weight of three layers of metal ALL throughout (which of course is a great feature for cooking) and then the weight of the extra food in these larger pots/pans it just becomes too much to carry let alone POUR with just the one long handle. So to reiterate, GREAT pan and I highly recommend it, just be warned that it is a challenge to then spoon/pour the food gracefully out the side like you can with the smaller pots/pans in this line.

Time of use 3 months.

Pros: Nice looking pan, heavy, sturdy, well made, works well with induction, standard 12 in. lid fits.

Cons:No helper handle, sticks as much as other stainless pans, no lid, no easier to clean than any other stainless.

Overall If I had it to do over would have been opted for a brand named pan with a lid at half the price.

My Plan Pull out the old Griswold cast iron skillet that is nearly indestructible, near nonstick when kept up correctly. (I did have to sandblast it after 30 years of use from using too much oil at too high a temp). It is heavier than my wife likes to use.All of the ceramic I have used only works for a time.Tired of replacing it.

Coocan Diamond Coated Nonstick Fry Pan 4pcs Set

Coocan Diamond Coated Nonstick Fry Pan 4pcs SetI bought this item somewhere else and I am very disappointed about how short they have lasted. I bought this 5pcs set around June, 2012 and two of wok started to show off bubbles inner side of wok and frying pans after only six months of use. I called the company and they said I have used them for 6 months so they can't do any for it. I bought them because of 5 layer coating that should have lasted more that.

No covers for the smaller wok and frying pan.I can,t even find a cover to fit it.

That is why I reduce one star. Otherwise, it is an excellent non-stickcookware.

Nostalgia Electrics CKM-100 Electric Cupcake Maker

Nostalgia Electrics CKM-100 Electric Cupcake MakerI had already purchased this for my 11 yr old daughter as a Christmas gift when I read the other negative review. I decided to give it a try anyway but I'm very glad I was prepared for a bad experience because we sure had one! I stayed right by the unit after we plugged it in. After a few minutes, there was a slight burning odor and some wisps of smoke stated coming out near the back. The booklet included warned that there may be some smoking and odor when first heating up because of chemicals burning off the heating element and non stick surface, so I thought it might be normal. Then the smoke got heavier and the odor took on the very recognizable scent of melting/burning plastic. I immediately unplugged it and lifted the lid carefully. Smoke poured out, the inside on the top lid was bubbled and charred looking, the red plastic around the edges and sides was melted and bubbled. My house was filling with that nasty plastic burning smoke so I took the unit outside and opened all the doors and windows.

The only silver lining is that we never actually put any batter into the machine! We are now about to put the cupcakes into the oven. My daughter was very disappointed by I had prepared her for the possibility based on the previous review. We will be returning this to the store, as per the manual. Hopefully we can find another cupcake maker that works safely.

My daughter received this as a gift and just like some of the other reviews indicated...smoke, burning...a MESS.

Do not buy this!

I received the mini cupcake pan as a Christmas present. I wiped down the machine as directed and lightly coated it with oil as directed. I then turned it on to heat up. Was that ever a mistake! It is now outside because the toxic odor from the bubbling paint and smoke was making my eyes burn terribly. This is a very dangerous appliance and I highly recommend that no one use this. When I called the manufacture I was told that they have had no complaints about this and I must have received the one defective muffin maker. Really? Clearly after reading other reviews that is not the case and I am very unimpressed with Nostalgia Products for being dishonest with me.I am returning this and will not purchse another one ever.

Okay, to the reviewer who didn't know it was a mini cupcake machine did you look at the pictures before purchasing? Oh well.

I don't understand why people are rating this so negative! I received one for Christmas from a family friend and have had no troubles with it. I wiped it down as instructed before using, sprayed a little Pam for baking on it, added the batter and BOOM! wonderful mini banana nut muffins my first go around. I thought it was too good to be true so I made another batch with chocolate chips the nonstick was awesome! No residual chocolate left in the little molds and they came out perfectly.

I haven't heard or read anything negative about them until I came across it here. Like with all electronics such as this there runs a risk of overheating and electrical issues ( I had one with a foreman grill and yet they're still huge sellers) but I haven't read too much about this machine. I had it plugged in for a good 2 hours and no problems at all. I would recommend this to everyone.

Calphalon 10-in. Commercial Hard-Anodized Omelette Pan.

Calphalon 10-in. Commercial Hard-Anodized Omelette Pan.This pan is everything advertised. It is as non-stick as you can get without the dangerous coatings. My chef friend recommended that after cleanup and drying I coat the pan with oil.I use olive oil each time and the pan is becoming more non-stick with each use.You will have to change your cooking techniques:pre-heat the pan with no oils in it; don't soak for hours in soapy water (just a few minutes and it cleans up fine), use MUCH lower temperatures to cook beautifully and successfully. The pan is not too heavy and you can buy a glass lid for it from Amazon.Of course, Amazon was once again great to deal with and my order arrived quickly. This pan is worth every penny and I will be filling my kitchen with other sizes of the same type and company.

When I ordered this to replace a non-stick skillet I had left on high for 10 minutes or so, I thought it might have been non-stick.First use proved it had to be greased first.I began using half oil and half butter.Worked fine. After cooking a nice rib-eye, I scraped the bottom to make a fond, adding a bit more butter and oil, turning the heat up and adding some chicken broth.Poured the sauce on the steak and it proved to be superb.I have other non-stick skillets, but this will be used for steaks (and "omelettes").

Bialetti Aeternum 3-Pack Ceramic Saute Pan, Red

Bialetti Aeternum 3-Pack Ceramic Saute Pan, RedI only received these pans a few days ago but so far I am ecstatic about them.Slide a silicone spatula around the inside to remove the food and they are so clean you barely know you cooked something in them. Also the handle and weight distribution make them extraordinarily comfortable to use.Don't know how they will stand the test of time but they can't be worse than teflon, and they don't come with a warning about possibly poisoning anycanaries you might happen to keep your kitchen, as my last teflon set did.Just make sure you read the directions and follow them they require basically the same care as teflon but don't outgas anything bad and the manufacturing process is billed as green.I have been wiping a very thin coat of olive oil over the non-stick surface before each use, rather than just periodically as the directions say.Conservatism? It's a very small amount of oil, and these are sauté pans where I usually use a bit of oil anyway. My regular pans always end up with browned grease on the sides that requires scrubbing. These stay clean.Love them!

Slightly delicate interior -treat gently, clean by hand. But super non-stick without Teflon, good looking porcelain exterior. Sides slope inward to bottoms, thus cooking surfaces are smaller than 8", 10", and 12". Exteriors can chip if banged around so we are very careful. But they are great to cook in. Always use a very small amount of oil and everything slides out when done. Wipe interior out gently, then wash w/ soapy sponge and it looks like new w/ very little effort. I do use a somewhat lower heat to avoid scorching. Very reasonably priced but have become our pans of choice.

After rave comments from my grown daughter, I decided to invest in the 3 skillet set. I have cooked chicken breasts with Worcestershire sauce and the residue easily came off with water and a paper towel. Fried eggs using butter worked well. Have decided to hand wash skillets rather than put them into the dishwasher. They perform better than Calphalon and Circulon skillets.

I hate to rain on the Aeternum parade, but I don't like this product.

I've owned this product for six months.I purchased this brand based on a review I read in either the NY Times or the Wall Street Journal Weekend Edition. They tested various non-stick pans and I'm increasingly convinced that the reviewer was smitten by the great looks these pans do look spiffy rather than functionality.Unfortunately, they stick. On a non-stick scale of 1 to 5 ( like Amazon stars), a stainless All-Clad might be a 1, a well-worn (and therefore nicely seasoned) cast iron pan is a 2, these guys are a 2.5 and a five year-old battle-weary IKEA non-stick is a 4.75.Frankly, I just don't understand what people like about these pans.If I could send these back (a-la-Costco returns policy) I would.I'm going to get a more expensive All-Clad non-stick that can go in the oven (to 500 degrees I believe) for any fancy fixins but for my over-easy eggs I'm getting a new IKEA pan for $12.Don't be fooled by the perfect hue of red on outside contrasted with the bright wide inside: these are truly flashes in the pan.

I recently bought a stainless steel set that I love. However, I wanted to have some non-stick for cooking that's a bit trickier with stainless. And I didn't want Teflon. In my opinion, this works better than Teflon, too.Clean up is super easy, no matter what I cook in it.Heats evenly and quickly, and the white surface color actually gives a different spin to watching your food cook.Handle stays cool and comfortable in any size hand.

The only negative I have is that the red paint scratches off, regardless of how gentle I place it on the iron burners of my Wolf range. Not sure what the long-term ramifications of that will be to the pans' finish.

Anolon Ultra Clad Stainless Steel 10-Piece Cookware Set

Anolon Ultra Clad Stainless Steel 10-Piece Cookware SetI ordered this set using my frequent flyer miles. It is the nicest cookware set I've ever owned! My previous sets were non-stick, so it did take a little getting used to cooking with stainless steel (hot pan, cold oil; food won't stick). I've only been using it for about a month but they seem very durable. They are also very stylish! I'm very satisfied with the purchase.

These are made by Meyer Corp, who also makes Circulon, Faberware, KitchenAid, Silverstone and Bonjour products. All their brands are great. I you can get these pans for less than $300 than this is one of the best buys out there for Stainless steel cookware. Consumer reports rates this set very well. It retails for $399.99, which is much to high to pay, but amazon has them at a good $300. This set is tri-ply which means that it has 3 layers of metal. The center metal is aluminum which conducts heat better than other metals. They heat fast and uniformly, which makes it nice to cook anything on/in these. My set came with some minor cosmetic damage, whether due to shipping or manufacturing, but will not effect the performance of the cookware. These tend to be fingerprint magnets as well. Overall they are a great value for what you are getting. I would also recommend one good non-stick skillet for more delicate foods and when you don't want to cook with oils.

They clean up well and unlike the reviewer who said his stained easily they have not had any issues retaining color from anything cooked in them, or changing color. The handles are very sturdy and i can see these lasting a very long time under standard use. The handles are coated in s silicon rubber that stays cool/warm to the touch. They should be somewhat safer to use with utensils than their non-stick counterparts, but I've already put scratches in one of the sauce pans. On top of it all they are oven safe up to 400F in the oven and dishwasher safe as well. I will still clean mine by hand and use wooden or plastic utensils, just because I'm like that. The overall look is nice and they shine when clean and fingerprint free. I use mine on a gas range, but they say these work well on glass and induction based cooking tops as well. I really wanted to get an All-Clad set, but the price just ins;t justified for their product. This Anolon set has surpassed my expectations and I think that you'll enjoy cooking with it as much if not more than I do.

*I'll update my review with more as I continue to use this cookware.

I received this set yesterday, it's an excellent set of cookware. The pieces seem to be built in a very quality manner, and appear to be indestructible.I cooked a small meal, and can absolutely say that this set creates a very even distribution of heat and cooked everything very nicely.

The only issue is that this set can be bought much cheaper directly from the manufacturer.

The cookware set was bought for use on an induction cooktop. It meets all expectations and cleans easily.I would like to be able to find other sized pieces to add to my set.

I used to have three pans of All-Clad, and hoped, over time, to get more. I got a portable induction burner, which changed my cooking life, and needed appropriate pans. I got an inexpensive set at WalMart and though they weren't bad, I missed my wonderful cookware.I first bought the 1-qt saucepan and fell in love with it. I now have 3 more of this type. They are sturdy, quality pans, which also look great.

I don't like nonstick pans because one eventually ends up eating the finish, though I will get a frying pan eventually for the occasional fried egg. But, I don't really have trouble cleaning these pans. At worst, I will soak one for an hour or so, and then it cleans up easily. Usually, by the time I am done cleaning the other dishes, and if I have soaked the dirty pan while I am doing it, it cleans readily.I couldn't be happier.

Vollrath 4010 8-Guage Aluminum Wear-Ever Fry Pan with Natural Interior Finish, 10-Inch

Vollrath 4010 8-Guage Aluminum Wear-Ever Fry Pan with Natural Interior Finish, 10-InchThis is a serious cooking tool. I've long believed the need for non-stick cookware is overstated, and this frying pan, in natural aluminum without teflon or any other finish, proves it. Its comfortable but durable blue handle stays cool and won't slip or turn in your hand.

As with any frying pan, I'd recommend buying a well-fitting lid to control spatter.

We have never put this item in a dishwasher (no need to), so I can't comment on how it would do there. This is, however, a pan one sees in numbers in restaurant kitchens, so it's designed for hard use.

After about 8 years our skillet still looks almost new; I'd attribute this to hand-washing and the use of plastic implements to stir, flip, etc.

A friend bought me this pan over 20 years ago.It still looks as good as it did when I got it.Easy to clean, great to cook with!I highly recommend this pan to anyone who uses a stove!
