Circulon Symmetry Chocolate Hard Anodized Nonstick 11-Piece Cookware Set

Circulon Symmetry Chocolate Hard Anodized Nonstick 11-Piece Cookware SetThe non-stick coating on this cookware is called Autograph 2, it is one of the latest and best available. It is a three coat process that renders a very durable surface that can be used with metal utensils.

Purchased this set to replace our ancient mis-matched and abused pots and pans.First off I wanted to see if all of the claims were factual.Cleaned in the dishwasher, used metal utensils, even cooked eggs with no oil or spray, then used our portable induction burner.I can honestly say that everything passed with flying colors, the set is up to it all!

The hard anodised aluminum, which is stronger than steel, is thick and gives excellent heat distribution from the bottom and up the sides with no apparent "hot spots".Tried all of the cookware pieces on the induction burner with no problems at all.I will say that it's probably easier to clean this with just a wipe with a dishcloth and rinse, rather than use the dishwasher, the non stick is that good. Metal utensils worked fine, but we have so much of the nylon, as it was necessary with the old pots and pans, well, we use that.Could never fry eggs in the old stuff with out using some oil, not with this, the eggs just slide out.

We also purchased the four quart sauce pot and the covered stir fry pan to go with this set.The lid on the four quart fits the eight inch fry pan, nice to have.Have used the covered stir fry as a wok and as a steamer.Use a small stainless rack that fits in the bottom, great for steaming. Also, it does stir fry without as much heat as the old one, suppose because the heat conduction is so much better.

Am absolutely pleased with this purchase, it is tough, cooks very well and looks great!

Would I purchase again and recommend this set?----You bet I would!

()This is my first experience with a pan set in this price range. I have always been skeptical about these pricy sets, wondering if they really are any better. I have to say that I do think the price tag is worthy of the products in this case. I am in love with this set in every way.

The color is great a bronzy semi-matte metallic brown. I love the silicone grips on the lids and handles no more pot holders or oven mitts!

They are a nice weight, yet not overly bulky. They feel substantial and are a dream to cook with.

The non-stick surfaces are truly non-stick in every sense of the meaning. You know how when you dump out pasta into the strainer and there are a few lonely noodles left that kinda stick to the pan, not because they are burnt on, but just because of the starches I guess.. well that doesn't happen with these pans! EVERYTHING slides right off of and out of them. I know it is just a small rather meaningless example, but it is something that really sticks out to me as far as their performance with the non-stick coating.

They clean up so very well and super easily. Everything rinses right off. I have tried to overcook some items on/in these pans, just to really test them out and see if anything will stick, but so far nothing has. It is almost amazing. I have had other sets in the past that I thought were great, thought the non-stick coating was great, but there is something different and even better with these pans.

The sizing is great on these. I love that each piece is taller, instead of shorter and wider. The pour spout on the smaller pot is convenient.

There is something with the lids too, the way they sit on the pans or something that deters the pot from boiling over. The lids let out just enough steam I guess maybe, that it doesn't allow it to boil over. I have never used another set where I didn't have a boil over at some point. At one time or another as water was boiling for too long, the id would start to bobble and the water would boil out in between the pan and lid and of course over the side of the pan and onto the stove. This doesn't happen with this set.

The pans carmelize like heaven. I have never used a set that performed this well in that aspect. Everytime I cook with these, I fall in love all over again.

I really feel like everything cooks better in these. I originally thought the price tag was just for the brand name and they wouldn't be any better than my other Farberware set, but after using them for a while now it is easy to see that they do actually perform better overall and are worth it.

()This is our first new set or cookware in a long time and our first experience with anodized aluminum.

Anyway, on to our experience using this set, and dealing with customer service:

This is a very attractive cookware set, the chocolate brown coating is very well done IMHO and looks great on a stove top. Defintely does not look like a budget set at all.Additionally this set comes with all the bells and whistles of more expensive brands.Glass lids, silicone handles and scratch resistant teflon coatings.Metal thickness on the pots and pans seems equivalent to what is found on other sets as well.

Using the set with our gas stove has proven not to be an issue I was slightly concerned using the silicone sleeved handles with the gas cooktop.Ensuring not to use overly small pots on the biggest burner has meant this isn't an issue.

As to whether the pans are truly metal utensil safe we just don't plan on risking it.In fact our 2 quart pan developed a chip within the first couple of days of using it which we believed was a manufacturing defect. Here's the customer service part we didn't have to mail the pan back and the company promptly mailed us a new one.Great job on their part.

Small nitpick is that the handles are hollow at the base and near the tip but considering the value the set delivers in other places, I find the trade to be reasonable.

In summary, we are very happy with this.Happy cooking.

()Search Amazon or the Circulon site, and one will find a variety of cookware sets in a wide range of prices. The shopper wonders how much better the higher priced sets are and is this extra cost worth the outlay. I thought about these things when I bought Mrs. Spudman the Circulon Elite set for Christmas. She likes the set but found it wanting in number of pieces and in those lids with the annoying, hard to clean crevice on each one. When I was presented with the opportunity to review the Circulon Symmetry set of cookware, I wondered how different they could be and how much better they could be for the almost $150 price difference.

The difference in quality between the Circulon Symmentry cookware and its Elite cousin is readily apparent as one removes the new cookware from its carefully packed and protected cardboard cocoon. Each piece is resplendent in its elegance, design, and heavy composition. The handles are artfully designed and embellished with the Circulon logo. The ends of the Elite cookware have holes at the end of each piece to enable hanging. The Symmetry pieces have openings for hanging at the end of each handle, but the opening doesn't project through both sides of the handle. These pieces are so heavy that I'd be hesitant to hang them anyway.

The Symmetry pieces have a non sticking coating called Autograph. After some online research at cookware sites, Circulon and at DuPont, I concluded that the Autograph non stick treatment is a top of the line enhancement.

Other likes:

The small sauce pans have curved lips on the edges to accomodate pouring. A nice touch.

Symmetry pieces work well on our glasstop stove and heat quickly. Foods cook evenly and the only way cleanup could be easier is if somebody else did the cleaning for you.

Even though you normally can't see them, the bottoms of these pieces are aesthetic treats, shining in the middle witheasy to read, embedded printing stating the capacity of each piece.

Lids on the Symmetry pieces excel and surpass those of the Elite set. The lids are heavy and substantial with handles fastend with large screws that can be tightened as needed. No adjustments are possible on the Elite handles. Thes lids are also much easier to clean than the Elite lids because there is no hard to reach crevice built into the Symmetry lids.

We both find the chocolate exterior color very attractive. Also attractive that nonstick properties are on the outside and inside of each piece.

Finally The Circulon Elite is a nice set of pots and pans. It's a quality set one can own without breaking the bank. For those who are willing to pay more to move up a couple notches for a set that's both elegant in design and performs exquisitely, it's hard to find fault with the Circulon Symmetry set of cookware.

The cookware I ordered a month ago arrived in just a few days and I have been using all the pots and pans every day. They are the best cookware I have ever owned and I have had lots of sets in my 55 year marriage. I really love this set. They heat so even and are a breeze to wash. So far I haven't found anything to not like about them. The sets includes all the sizes of pots and pans I need. I am so happy I choose this set.

Simply Calphalon Nonstick 10-Inch Covered Omelette Pan

Simply Calphalon Nonstick 10-Inch Covered Omelette PanWe love our eggs and raise our own chickens.Prior to this every pan we've tried has stuck and omelettes have been a mess. Not with this one.Gorgeous, non stick pan and we have not seasoned it once. Cleans up in a jiff with warm water and a sponge.Love it!!

I have only owned it for 6 weeks, so I can't address long term qualities. It is a fairly heavy pan. The balance is good (ie the handle weight doesn't make it unsteady on the burner like one fry pan I have). The non-stick surface has worked well so far. The lid fits tight. I like the lid being glass. Someone complained the lid doesn't have a vent. I prefer no vent unless its closable. I can set the lid off center if I want it venting. The pan won't make you a good cook, but if you have some skills, it will help you achieve your goal. Compared to other non-stick pans I have used, I consider it to be decent quality. At the price, its a bargain. I sought it out after reading a cooking website review. Oh, last point. Unlike my cast iron skillet which I still continue to use faithfully, the pan's handle and lid's handle remain quite cool while in use. Very good design. Happy cooking!

Update February 2013: I still have this pan and use it constantly. It is still in great condition.

Buy Simply Calphalon Nonstick 10-Inch Covered Omelette Pan Now

I purchased this Simply Calphalon Nonstick 10-inch Covered Omlette Pan in June, 2009, and it worked really well for about six months: it heated evenly and released eggs easily. I used it only once or twice a week, mostly for omelettes, and always with a nylon spatula. After a year, however, the non-stick surface had pitted in many places, and by mid-January, 2011, I had worn away a bare metal patch the size of a credit card. That is poor performance for a $40 pan, so I replaced it with a T-Fal Professional Total Nonstick 10 inch saute pan, manufacture's model number E9380564, at only $28 from Amazon. The T-Fal pan was well reviewed by Cooks Illustrated, and it looks good so far, but I'll wait and see how it holds up. [I added the manufacture's model number because it is very confusing to figure out which T-Fal pan is which; they all have similar names.]

video gives you a good idea of the size. I've always used nonstick pans, and have had good results in the past with Calphalon. the main thing to remember with any non-stick pan is do NOT use aerosol spray type oils. that will ruin the nonstick surface quickly. keep in mind also that this pan is not the top of the line pan. the Calphalon pans with the stainless steel handles are of higher quality. I bought this particular pan because I wanted a 10" size, and the Calphalon Unision wasn't offered at a reasonable price when I purchased this pan. this is an inexpensive no-frills lightweight pan that has a nice touch. Overall, I like it.

I wish I could rate this as high as the others have but I simply can't.This is my second one and on both, I lost a bit of the non-stick surface. Both times it was frying italian sausage under medium high heat.Worked great up to that point.

Mr. Bar-B-Q Cast-Iron Ribbed Fajita Platter Set

Mr. Bar-B-Q Cast-Iron Ribbed Fajita Platter SetI bought two and they were better than I expected. The cast-iron pans are perfect for fajitas, but they also work great for a couple of hamburgers, bacon, veggies or anything else you'd like to "grill" on the stove (or on a real grill) when you don't need big, round, cast-iron pan.The top varnish on the wooden pan-holders quickly gets toasted, but that's part of it's charm, it goes with the cast iron. The little pot-holders for the handles are great for the table, but a larger mitt is safer while grilling.NOTE: this IS cast iron and you will need to properly "season" the pans before you first use them to keep food from sticking.

We bouight this set, not just for fajitas, but for meat/veggies after grilling. They work great and keep food hot. Also, the mitts work good when transporting the food to the platters. No unwieldy pot holders to deal with, another nice feature.

I had always wanted to buy sizzler platters, but since I needed three, I was looking for the right price, which I found at amazon. I followed the instructions very carefully before use so that they will last me for a long time. The wooden base and the handle holders make it very convenient and comfortable to hold. We use them atleast once a week and enjoy homemade sizzlers.

This is probably one of the best purchases I have made for our kitchen in some time.

It really helps the presentation for serving fajitas.I would recomend buying more than one if you want to serve more than one person, or two light eaters. The pour spouts work great, and seasoning this was much easier than my Dutch oven.

KitchenAid Hard-Base Porcelain Aluminum Nonstick 11-Inch Round Deep Grill Pan, Red

KitchenAid Hard-Base Porcelain Aluminum Nonstick 11-Inch Round Deep Grill Pan, RedI am SO in love with my KitchenAid grill pan. Nothing sticks to it! Believe me, I've given it lots of opportunities to let me down, and it always comes through. I've made steak fajitas, grilled chicken, salmon fillets all cooked perfectly, quickly and with those great grill marks to boot! Clean up is easy, too. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves cooking. A great buy!

I have been getting into watching The Food Network and many of the hosts use these grill pans for cooking everything from salmon to steaks. This pan seemed reasonably priced and of good quality so I ordered it.After washing it and preparing to use it to cook dinner, I then happened to read the fine print on the inside of the cardboard labeling.Do Not Use on Glass Smoothtop Electric Ranges as pan MAY FUZE TO COOKTOP.Not a good thing, so I returned it.Looked like it would work nicely for all other types of cooktops though.

this pan is a super addition to my cookware.

a grill pan is SUPER important if you are cooking meat indoor.my steaks always looked grey and weird, but now they look tasty!and taste better!just sprinkle salt & pepper (and, for even more flavor, add some chopped garlic to each side of the steak) and it will be as good as if you had grilled it outdoors!and it leaves beautiful marks (especially if you don't move it a lot during cooking.)

also, it is SO SO SO SO easy to clean, everything just wipes/rinses off. I have never had anything stick to this pan.

a cast iron grill pan is also important, as the heat capacity of cast iron is better for things like cold hamburgers/steaks, but a nonstick pan is essential for delicate items like fish.also, you could not deglaze a cast iron pan (the acidity hurts the seasoning) so if you wanted to deglaze this pan is better.(although nothing sticks so there is no fond!)

Paula Deen Signature Porcelain Nonstick 8-Inch Skillet, Red Speckle

Paula Deen Signature Porcelain Nonstick 8-Inch Skillet, Red SpeckleThis is my third purchase from this line... they are all beautiully crafted and truly non-stick. My only complaint on this one is that it was smaller than I expected. Yes, the diameter is 8" rim to rim... actual cooking surface is closer to 6". I just wish that info would be listed in the online description.

Bought this pan a year ago. I am not the brightest bulb so I cleaned the pan in the dishwasher. Use it almost every day and nothing has ever stuck to this puppy! When I got this pan I also got a cheaper no name pan from Target. That pan lasted all of 3 months before we had to throw it out.

This was a replacement pan for a pretty beat up one I'd had for years.I chose this purchase because I have her Tea Kettle in the same finish and color and have been extremely happy with it.I find that the pan heats evenly, does not scratch smooth top stove surfaces and is a breeze to clean.I really like that the handle is contoured and is coated in silicone. As I suffered from strength lose in my left hand, itmakes it easy to hold and its lightweight too.I plan on continuing to purchase as I replace my set, pan at a time!

I bought this for use on an induction cooktop. Because induction the entire bottom evenly, it is really great that it has a wide diameter bottom and thus provides a big surface area to cook the food. Just a tad on the heavy side but that's a given for a pan that can be used on an induction cooktop.

Calphalon Tri-Ply Stainless 12-Inch Omelet Pan

Calphalon Tri-Ply Stainless 12-Inch Omelet PanThis pan was highly recommended by America's Test Kitchen, and they were not kidding! The wide bottom holds a lot of meat and browns it nicely, with hardly any sticking. Retains heat better than my nonstick pan. Larger cuts such as whole pork tenderloins and thick-cut pork chops can go straight from stove-top searing to oven-roasting. Not too heavy, and very smooth at the bottom great for glass-top stoves! Cleans up nicely, too. This will be your no. 1 pan for browning meat!

I have been cooking since I could stand on a chair next to my mom when she cooked. That's about 37 years now.I make everything from scratch and use fresh ingredients. When I was about 20, my (now) ex-wife bought me a set of T-Fal cookware.I used them so many years I can't imagine how.(Without regret both her and the T-Fal are long gone now).Well, I started shopping for cookware that matched my cooking abilities. Not a pro but no one spits out the food I make either. After a ton of research I decided to score this pan.I had a gazillion points on my Amex card so I was able to order this pan for free.I figured what the heck, if I don't like it, I just have the one pan and I couldn't beat the price.I got the pan in and couldn't wait to start flingin ' food.Since then I have aquired 2 more pans of the same variety, 2 sauce pans and am planning on a couple more to round out the set.Don't hesitate to buy these if you enjoy cooking at all. This is the best quality I have found for this sort of money. It heats evenly and cooks evenly!Cleaning is very easy.On ocassion I have burned on some bits on the bottom of the pan and have read some reviews complaining that it is hard to clean when this happens. The answer is simple. If you find you crusted up the bottom, when you are all done, heat the pan up on high and pour in enough water to cover the bottom and gently push a wooden spatula around. It will come off almost immediately. If you use wine or some other favorite beverage its call ed deglazing and you can use the reduced liquid to make a fine sauce or gravy.

Conclusion, top quality pans for a very affordable price.A+

We have gotten concerned about non-stick coatings so we switched to stainless. After buying my last teflon pan that contained the warning about not using it near a pet bird's cage! They can suffocate from the fumes...whoa, we don't need to be breathing that either! Calphalon Tri-Ply Stainless 12-Inch Omelet Pan is wonderful However, it is not rated no. 1 by Martha or America's Test Kitchen like the overpriced All Clad overpriced pan. I spent $75 on the Calphalon and it is the best pan I've ever enjoyed. My sister in law has the All-Clad, she regrets spending too much after trying mine. I don't put it through the dishwasher, and eggs don't stick if you cook on med.-low.

If you've never cooked with SS fry pans, this is a great one to start with (around $95).Remember to lower your temperatures and experiment with how much oil to use (not much).Be prepared to burn a couple meals until you get the hang of it and you can use steel wool to clean this pan.

I'll try to make this quick. After checking many reviews, I ended up buying this and the All-Clad MC2(MasterChef2) 12" at the same time ($20 more, very good pan).Because I intended on returning one I DIDN'T cook with both, but based on visuals and handle comfort, I felt the Calphalon would serve my purposes better. The diameter of the cooking surface(bottom of pan)was about a 1/4 in. larger, the handle felt more comfortable and easier to hold(important on a large pan when you go to move it) and the outside of the pan is stainless steel which doesn't scrach easy. After using it my parents were very pleased(as was I when I got to try it).Feel free to stop reading now, but if you must know more...

This was a present for my parents for general cooking and omeletts about once a week. The goal was to get away from teflon and stop throwing away pans (and money) every 3-5 years. After extensive research I wanted to buy AllClad, figuring to pay a little more for something a little better, and I almost kept the MC2, but I couldn't justify the handle.I realize that these two products are not perfectly comparable. Both Calphalon and All-Clad have numerous lines, incorporating different materials and ideally I would have also bought an All-Clad Stainless ($40 more, same handle as MC2), but I'll focus on the two I did buy.The craftmanship on both pans is similar and they weigh within 1/2 lb of each other (All-Clad is just a little lighter). The only material difference is the outside layer, where Calphalon use SS(more durable/heats slower) and All-Clad MC2 has brushed aluminum(scratchs easy/heats faster). Most of what I read (too many links to include) gave me the belief that this difference would have a small (if any) effect on preheat time.I may never find out, nor will I care, the Calphalon heats up fine and makes a great omelett.

With all this said I know that there are better pans out there (though the upgrade seems more of a personal opinion) and everyone has their favorits. One may still be able to cook well on cheaper pans, but I feel that I got a fair deal and it comes with a life time warranty.

I purchased this pan recently to complement my Cuisinart Chef's Classic Stainless 7-Piece Cookware Set and I am very pleased. The handle is very comfortable, and for its size, is not as heavy as I anticipated yet it heats very evenly. The pan sidewalls are the same material as the bottom of the pan, making this an excellent pan for creating pan sauces as the sauce will not scorch on the sides of the pan, which is my only complaint with the Chef's Classic 10" skillet.

The pan has a large surface area making it a great choice for browning pork chops or browning items that should not be crowded in the pan. When used properly, (heated, oil added and heated to shimmer, then food added) the food cooks wonderfully without sticking. The glossy stainless finish is beautiful, but requires hand-drying to avoid water spots. The spots accumulate on my pan as I view it as a tool, not a decor item, but some might find that troubling.

Although I really considered the All Clad 12" skillet, every time I picked one up the handle was so uncomfortable I had to set it down quickly, and I finally decided that no matter how well otherwise the pan performs, if it is too uncomfortable to use, then it isn't performing well --indeed, it could be dangerous when filled with hot food and oil.

This Calphalon skillet is a marvel and I am certain it will serve many years of hard labor in my kitchen.I only wish the set included metal lids; if it had, I would have strongly considered the set, but I do not like glass lids -too risky.

Woll Diamond Plus Open Saute Pan, 11-Inch

Woll Diamond Plus Open Saute Pan, 11-Inch...But if you want to cook real food like a pro, these Woll Diamond Plus pans are superb!Properly pretreated with a little oil, heated, rinsed with hot water, and wiped dry with a paper towel before attempting a cookware pitchman "magic trick", a tough and durable nonstick surface like this works fine, and cleans up like a charm. If you're worried about a few molecules of oil touching your food, just buy inexpensive T-Fal Professional pans even scorched caramel will speed skate across that stuff, for a year or two at least, if you're careful enough with it.But for a serious quality gourmet skillet without the fuss of continually "seasoning" cast iron or constant temperature babysitting and re-polishing stainless with Kleen King, these Woll pans are truly impressive.

Just received this pan to give as a Xmas gift and is ia not the pan that is pictured. We have the saute pan that is pictured and we love it so we wanted to share the great quality. The pan we received has a different handle which is not a big thing but it doesn't have the small grip on the opposite side which does affect my opinion of the pan. We like the extra grip because the pan is heavier than most and sometimes being able to use two hands is very useful. Beware if you are ordering this pan that it might be different than the picture.

Mostly wrote this to counter the reviewer who gave it 2 stars. That review is simply bogus. Yes this skillet IS VERY NONSTICK when used correctly. After you use it you'll be OK with spending so much on it, because of how well it's contructed from the handle to the sturdy feel of the pan itself it's going to be around a long time.No it is not going to be TV-like nonstick if fresh from the dishwasher or from the box without an oil slick on the surface. But it is also EXTREMELY tough, heavy (which i like in a skillet) and the little microscopic pits the diamond infused coating makes is part of the reason it's so nonstick with the oil on top.But the coating surface is also very tough, from whatever patented infusion process they have going on, it's very different from a cheap teflonish nonstick skillet who's coating IS going to wear out sooner rather than later. You can feel that this is a 3D surface that is not flimsy (this one is metal utensil approved and I think that's legit, though of course you're still better to use silicone to maximize wear).

So the take home point is that no it's not just out of the box ready to be nonstick (or out of the sink if you use soap) -it does have to be prepared correctly the other previous reviewer gives an excellent description of that.Think of it like an iron skillet that doesn't have to be continuously babied and reseasoned and it won't break, won't rust, warp, etc -If you take it straight to the sink and use water and sponge (you don't need the scrubby kind, just a soft sponge) or paper towel without soap to wipe it out after use, even burnt stuff wipes right off EASILY and it seems like the pan very rarely needs more oil unless you forget and bring on the soap. And you don't have to worry about this one warping it's so thick so take it right to the sink when you're done, run cold water (which will be hot as it cools the pan enough you can wipe it), wipe er down and back in action.Literally takes about 15 seconds to clean it like that, dry it and have it back on the stove ready to go.It beads up water with the oil on board, so just a brush from the towel and it's dry.I'm not sure it'd be possible to burn something onto the outside of it in fact except the flat bottom which is of course not coated.

The amount of "seasoning" for the 11 inch skillet is negigible in calories, so don't get the wrong idea -it amounts to about as much olive oil as you would get dipping about 3 fingertips into the oil to your first knuckle in fact, I like to rub it in like that -a few drops of oil and rub it in with your fingers until you cannot see the oil film except for a little streak behind your finger. If you just do that simple little trick and avoid soap (which removes the oil) this pan is tough as nails, cooks very evenly, and can then perform the As Seen on TV type nonstick tricks and your eggs WILL slide around easily, etc. It's my favorite nonstick pan ever, and I've been looking around forever trying to find one that will truly stand up over a long period of time without the nonstick surface eroding off, and one that doesn't have to be babied if you forget and use a fork, etc.I've abused it in the dishwasher when I'm being lazy (which is unneccesary and dumb, the pan isn't hard to clean) and it still stands up to that very well (but needs re-seasoned).

Also it's laser flat on the bottom.outside's easy to clean also same surface all the way down to the heat pad

My only wish is that they would make it in their induction friendly line it's aluminum and titanium, so no go for magnetic cooktops.Combine the quick on of induction with the heat transferring properties of the diamond coating (much faster than metal) and you'd have the ultimate in instant/consistent heat.I have one of the Precision Induction Hotplates you see on TV and it really does keep the heat constant at the selected temp, which keeps you from burning food in the first place, even oil if you're frying chicken or fish, etc can be kept below the smoke point and not turn rancid you could use it over and over if you wanted just like a restaurant fryer.Combine that with this type of nonstick coating surface and it'd be perfect.I haven't tried Woll's regular induction line, but if that coating is anywhere near as tough as this it's likely to be great too. Also fit the lids I have from other cookware perfectly.

So yeah it's pricey but in a couple years you'll be glad you bought it because you'll still have it and will probably have forgotten where you put all your other skillets and after a garage sale you wont always have a cabinet full or worn out skillets anymore -that by itself is worth it in my opinion.

Saw these pans demo'd at a home show and was very impressed with the performance but not the price they were selling at. Found this on Amazon and instantly bought it. I was very excited to try this product and get similar results and it could not have been more opposite. You are supposed to be able to cook fat free and water free in these pans which i tried and it failed miserably. Cooked eggs and the second they went into the pan they formed a film across the bottom instantly stuck. It was very disappointing but it got two stars because it did clean sort of easy and Amazon's price is very good.
