George Foreman 4 Serving Classic Plate Grill

George Foreman 4 Serving Classic Plate GrillUSING THE GRILL:

This George Forman grill is good for cooking for two or a small family. The grill flips open and you can place your food on it and close it so both the bottom and top are cooking at the same time. The grill comes with a spatula and cleaning tool. The grease from the grill drips into a small grease cup which is included.

COOKING:

The cooking surface is 60 square inches. This means that you can fit about two hamburgers, two chicken legs, two typical sized sandwiches/paninis or five big sausages (like bratwurst). The cooking surface has ridges and is tilted so the grease on the food can drip down into the grooves and off the grill into the grease drip cup. This helps get rid of more fat so the food comes out healthier.

This model is not temperature controlled like the premium model depending on what you are cooking you can end up burning some food before its cooked in the middle if you cook it with the lid down. Some things need to be cooked with the lid open. The top does not get as hot as the bottom does, so to cook thoroughly, often you have to flip the burgers over once.

SIZE:

The cooking surface is 60 square inches. Closed, it is about a foot long and wide (not quite square) and is about six inches tall. The whole cooking surface is raised up, which makes it great for scraping food directly off the grill onto a plate or into a taco shell. This size is pretty good for cooking for two or for a small family. If you are cooking large meals, either in advance or for say four adults, you will have to cook in batches. You might want to consider the 100 inch model George Foreman GR100V 100-Square-Inch Nonstick Grill with Variable Temperature Control if you do that frequently.

CLEANING:

The grill is designed to be easy clean, and for the most part you can just wipe it down with a sponge or wet paper town.If you do this while its still warm it will be easier. However, some marinades will adhere more to the surface and can be more of a pain to get off not impossible, but more work. The grill comes with a tool to help clean it.

PROS:

Easy to clean (99% of the time)

Raised up means its easy to scrape things off the grill onto a plate

Cooks fast

Removes a lot of grease while cooking, for healthier meals

Nice sleek look

Built well enough to last a few years of constant use before needing replacement

CONS:

Doesn't always cook evenly top to bottom, flipping is required sometimes

Marinades can adhere to the cooking surface and are harder to clean

Cord is short only 2 feet, so you need to be very close to an outlet

Isn't truly family sized, this is really sized better for two people

Overall, its a good buy, especially at this price. I would recommend it.

This'll make a couple of hamburgers, a couple of chicken legs or two standard-sized sandwiches (which is English for panini) at the same time. With the adjustable lid set up, it'll make open-faced sandwiches. It's not so great at grilling steaks (the upper element doesn't get hot enough) but for a quick burger, it can't be beat. The non-stick surface is a treat (try to clean it before it cools all the way; it's a little easier that way).

I replaced an older Foreman model of the same size and reviews of this model helped me determine that this was the size I wanted. The old one I got rid of had the bun warmer on top, which was mainly inconvenient, not only because I never used it, but it was the first thing to break (every time I opened the grill the bun warmer lid would flip open). I love that this grill takes up little counter space but holds a decent amount of food and that there's no bun warmer. It heats quickly, maintains temperature well and holds two large burgers or five real sausages (not breakfast links it would probably do 10-12 of those at a time) or six hot dogs. I don't cook chicken on it, but it would probably cook 2-3 chicken breasts, depending on size. For clean-up, I wait for the grill to cool down and then wipe down the top and bottom grill plates with a couple of paper towels. Then it's perfectly clean and ready to heat up for the next use. I realized how much we love this thing when we lived without one for a month.

I had debated for a long time whether to buy this cheaper George Foreman grill or to suck it up and buy the premium model. After having used it to grill chicken and bacon, I am convinced that the premium model is worth the extra money. ALthough the food cooked well, the top cooked faster than the bottom resulting in some burned chicken. Skip this one and go for a premium, temperature controlled model.

Chef's Design Griddle

Chef's Design GriddleAfter shopping around for a long time and looking at a lot of griddles in the stores, I took a leap of faith and ordered this one on-line, without having seen it in person.I couldn't be happier. It is a heavy design, but without the inconvenience of cast iron.I didn't think I would like the higher sides than most griddles, but it turns out to be really convenient.I bought it to go over an oval center burner in a new gas stove but it is a bit too large to heat up evenly and using it across two side burners actually works better as I can still use the other side. One thing to note, I bought it because I thought it was American made, but it turns out to be yet another item that corporate bean-counters have taken out of the hands of American workers and shipped overseas to China.

Picked up this great deal when it was on sale -didn't really need it at the time, but thought it would be nice to have for Sunday mornings.I was VERY impressed with the quality and weight of griddle.I haveelectric burners and while the heat was not PERFECTLY distributed, it was very close.A nice heavy duty griddle with a nice design.

I've been looking for a larger griddle for some time. I had no idea they came THIS large without being attached to their own power source, though. I have a gas stove as opposed to the flat top stove recommended, and this griddle fits well and works great. I love being able to cook all of my food in one batch. This is a quality product and I am very happy to own it.

Nordic Ware 14 Inch Asian Spun Wok

Nordic Ware 14 Inch Asian Spun Wok***Update (11/25/12)***

Bought my second wok since the first one (of almost four years) had endured the toughest conditions. The coating has started to peel and it is time to replace. Please keep in mind people, these non-stick coatings do NOT last forever and especially if you do a lot of cooking like me. This applies to ALL nonstick products no matter what the costs. If you want something where you wouldn't have to deal with the problem then maybe consider buying a pre-seasoned carbon wok, but then again they involved a different type of maintenance too like spreading oil to clean the wok after you cook instead of washing it. I like to wash my wok clean. This time, I will try to prolong it by using lower heat (instead of max) and go easy with the bamboo spatula.

Still made in the U.S.A., only the stamping on the bottom is a bit different, and thank goodness for the Amazon promo credit which made the deal much sweeter!

(original review)

Before this, I was extensively comparing to two others: The T fal Jumbo Wok along with the Circulon Elite Hard-Anodized Aluminum 14-Inch and I finally nailed it down to the Nordic Ware. One of the main reasons were because I wanted to replace a $ wok by 'Invitations' that I purchased not too long ago from Bed Bath & Beyond actually it was like $ after rebates and promotions, so no love lost here.

The comparisons...

T fal Jumbo Wok: I was ready to buy this wok from a major retailer. As I was going through the bunch, I could not find one that was like new, either there is a scuff here, a scratch there or a knick in between, and as I went through and finally came to one that was knick and scratch-free; the helper handle was deformed. So I said "screw it". Although this wok looked rather good, but it just didn't have the right feel to it, also, it was a bit on the light side and felt kind of flimsy not worth the price.

Circulon Elite: The same retailer did not carry the actual item but I was able to get an idea from one of their medium sized stir fry pans. The product feels heavy (which I like) but I wasn't too fond of the high-low food release design. I'm sure it was a feat of engineer but that didn't do it for me, non-stick is non-stick, it doesn't have to be any more complicated than it is. I'm more into the long-term and durability of its material that was put into it rather than the fancy grooves. I'm sure it works wonders, but for the addition to its marketing strategy; I wasn't sold.

The conclusion: I wanted a wok which was not only identical to the one I replaced but can perform and handle my day to day tasks. I stir-fry, steam, braise, fry, saute whatever, you name it! The Nordic Ware 14" wok has exceeded all the expectations, if not, more! It was tested in and by commercial kitchens and NSF certified so I can count on its rigorous strength. Upon the first day of using it (unlike the one I replaced and used with wooden utensils; the non stick coating stripped right off of its initial use), I stir-fried some vegetables with high heat from my electric counter top and was able to achieve some nice searings, food releases with a breeze and it has definitely passed the test of time! Before I toss the other wok out, I kept the removable handle and it fit my new wok like a glove. Now I know why the other cheap wok wanted to imitate the Nordic Ware 14" Asian Spun Wok, clearly, there is no comparison!

Pros:

*Great weight and balance

*Premium non-stick coating

*Perfect size and depth for tossing

*NSF certified and very high quality

*Made in USA

*20 Year warranty!!!

Cons:

*Grip handle is a bit thin, but can get used to (I replaced it with the old wok's rubber grip which is more thicker and fits perfectly)

*Removable rubber handle is some work when coincide with oven, the good thing is I don't really use it in the oven except for storing afterwards.

Im in college and just got my own apartment, when i was buying pans, i picked some out, showed them to my mother and asked her if they were any good. She went to the kitchen, grabbed one of her calphalon pans and said hold this, then made me return the ones i had bought.... Well it was then i learned that the good pans are the heavy ones.

And boy is this a heavy weight wok. It distributes heat very well. The surface is great, it washes easy too.

I have had this pan for a couple of years and use it often.Still looks and performs like brand new.No rust, no stick, good size for a family, and holds heat.My daughter was over for dinner and I brought it out and made stir fry and she wanted one.I jumped on amazon and went through about 20 pans and found it.It is well worth the price if you regularly stir fry...

This wok replaced an identical one we've had for about 10 years. My husband is the family chef and he loves its large size for making big batches of stir fry noodles, chinese vegetables. We like the fact that it's a non-stick wok and that it's heavy duty.great for family size dishes.

Want Nordic Ware 14 Inch Asian Spun Wok Discount?

I bought this for its seemingly great value and have been using it for a couple of months.

First look: great materials, hefty. Two handles makes the wok much easier to handle.

The description is misleading, there is no "Polished stainless steel lids" included.

I really wanted to like it but it is simply not possible.

One major problem with the wok is that the bottom is NOT flat. It was already warped when I got it and it would "roll" around on my ceramic-glass stove top.

Everyone should know that any decent flat bottomed cookware should be completely flat and stay that way. However, the wok came warped(convex). It might be OK for those using gas stoves but I, myself, will never buy this again.

EDIT: I have reduced this 1 star because the teflon coating has begun to bubble and peel in less than a year.

It is occurring at the middle of the sides, where most food do not contact.

I am using a ceramic electric stove so I doubt it is because of the heat.

Either way this wok is terrible.

Cooks Standard Multi-Ply Clad Stainless-Steel 10-Inch Fry Pan

Cooks Standard Multi-Ply Clad Stainless-Steel 10-Inch Fry PanFirst off, I think it's worth noting that I have never used any high end pans before.I made a switch from good ole Farberware that cost me $69 for like a 12-piece set. On the flip side, I do cook A LOT though and have my whole life.

That being said, I am still pretty happy with these pans.I bought both the 8' and the 10" mainly because of the design and the price.I wanted a good quality pan that would last and I have to say these blow my crap Farberware out of the water.I notice they cook a lot faster and they heat evenly. Things don't stick to them even with minimal butter or oil including eggs. This is definitely a solid pan with great construction.I find the hand to be very comfortable and it doesn't get hot even a little.

However, I have only had these a month now though and I already notice discoloration in the bottom of the inside. The outside looks good still though and again, I am not sure if this is normal or not.I wash them in the dishwasher but they are stated as dishwasher safe.I'm a little nervous on how they will hold up.I will update this in a few months.

****************************************************************************************************************

UPDATE: I've had these pans for almost two year now and I still love them. I give every pan a 5-star review but I will have to admit that I have managed to warp both of my 10" skillets. They still cook pretty evenly and I will admit that I am terribly hard on my pans and have probably overheated them on many occasions. The 8" skillets and the sauce pans have zero issues. I still recommend this set.

This pan is actually described as 10.5" by Cooks Standard's website. The box was also labeled 10.5".I measured it at 10-13/16" outer diameter. With the way the top edges curve out, I'd say 10.5" is a legit claim. The flat part (i.e. cooking surface) is about 8".The sides curve out from the base like a quarter-circle; I don't feel cheated out of space with this design. If you're like me and feel like 10" is a bit too small, but 12" is a bit too big, then this is the pan to get. There's not a lot of options for stainless tri-ply pans inside of 10"-12", and at this price, rarer still.

Yes, it's made in China (says "made in China" on the bottom).

Heats fast, cooks great, no issues.Working as hoped/expected!

Despite its apparent solid construction and advertised quality the stainless steel apparently is of inferior quality(Made in China)...After one use frying with oil the interior and exterior developed black spotting or pitting; and also, became stained a brownish color which I could not remove after repeated attempts at normal cleaning, even finally using "Barkeeper's Friend". Returning item and ordering a Lodge Cast Iron Skillet as a replacement...Still the best for long term durability, easy cleanup, and USA made!!

Nylon Pan Scrapers (Set of 2)

Nylon Pan ScrapersThese little pot scrapers are something every household should have. They ought to be as ubiquitous as cellulose sponges with an attached scouring pad.

A little nylon scraper will save your scouring pads from shredding and turning black. It can scrape cast iron skillets without transferring any soap to the seasoned surface.Have you ever tried to get burnt cheese off of steel or aluminum? If you take care of it, the scraper will outlast 20 kitchen sponges before it gets any nicks or scratches.

Why don't grocery stores stock these next to the Dawn or Palmolive bottles? It's because these scrapers are not disposable. You buy a 2-pack once, you're converted for life, but you never have to replace them. You're now buying fewer sponges. The store's gross margin is negative.

I got a set of these a few years ago and use them regularly. They are very sturdy and the thick rounded end allows you to use a lot of pressure without hurting your hands.I have used them with teflon coated cookie sheets and skillets, and the shape allows me to get into corners without any problem. The scrapers have lasted me a few years now without getting any knicks in them and without scratching any of my cookware.I was surprised to see Amazon's suggestion to use one for scraping ice off the car, I do not think I would recommend them for that use.Their size is very handy for pots and pans, but VERY narrow for using on a car windshield, and you don't have the same type of leverage as an ice scraper made for that purpose.

Buy Nylon Pan Scrapers (Set of 2) Now

Pan scrapers are an indespensible tool for a sanitary, well run kitchen. They are the most effecient way to clean grime off of plates and cooking utensiles. When you are done, you just rinse them off and pop them into the dishwasher to sanitize them! I really hate those scrubbing sponges that get caked with food I cannot ever completely rinse out, and they end up grimy and stinky. These scrapers are solid, nonabsorbant material that do the job without creating a bigger job in the process. That is why I also love the SOS Tuffy and other non absorbant cleaning tools. They never get logged down with the crud I just cleaned from another surface. I know people whose whole kitchen stinks because of their nasty cleaning sponges that are a breeding ground for bacteria and mold. Scrapers never do that I run a completely adequate kitchen and don't own even a single sponge! I have a dishcloth that I boil in the mocrowave each night (sponges don't take well to boiling) and along with my Tuffies and pan scrapers I have everything I need. No smelly kitchen!

These particular pan scrapers are great, but I give them only 4 stars instead of 5 stars because there is another brand with a more effective shape for cleaning. The Lodge pan scrapers get the highest rating from me because they have a better contour for getting into the shape of any pan to get that last bit of grime. That said, these are still very good and I keep a generous supply of both kinds using different ones for different jobs.I also like the SOS Tuffy scouring pad for the same reasons. All are non absorbant and dishwasher safe.

I highly reccommend pan scrapers for fast, easy and thorough clean up. Once you have used them, you will never go back.

We use cast iron for everything...bacon, veggies, meat, eggs, etc and since you aren't supposed to use soap on cast iron, we bought these scrapers. We love them. We can scrape off the excess fat and sticky parts after cooking bacon or scrape egg residue after breakfast. We use these scrapers plus hot running water and the cast iron comes out clean with the seasoning still in tact. Highly recommend. And FYI, they are about the size of your palm.

I would rather have a scraper that is a touch thinner on the edge so that I could really dig into the cooked-on food on my pan, but this one works well enough.

World Cuisine Black Steel Frying Pans

World Cuisine 12 1/2 Inch Black Steel Frying PanAs a general rule I would say a pan is just a pan, but this is the best pan for browning I have ever purchased.Properly seasoned it is very stick resistant, heats evenly and cooks a burger or an egg like it came off a flat griddle in a restaurant. On a Gas stove it browns without burning. Its easy cleanup and much lighter than cast iron, and it appears very durable. I will never purchase another teflon pan again.I originally purchased this pan for my camper but i don't think its going to leave my kitchen.I will likely purchase another shortly.

I bought these in different sizes for my vacation home. I have the Mauviel and DeBuyer french ones at home. I can't find the french ones in the smaller sizes anywhere anymore. The french ones have thicker gauge steel and the rivets for the handles aren't sticking out as much. I have those for over ten years and don't remember anymore how expensive those were, but they were expensive. These are somewhat less expensive though not inexpensive either. Since I have gas at home and electric at my cottage, cooking is different just because of that and I can't really compare them. All in all I am happy with this purchase, these aren't bad pans. I gave them 3 stars because the french ones are probably a star up at 4 and due to the high price I wouldn't want to give them 5 either. At the end this is just a piece of plain steel. In that regards, the review complaining about rust, well, this is a steel plan, you need to keep it oiled, no automatic dishwasher, actually you probably don't want to wash them with soap even by hand, the soap removes the oil film on the surface. just rinse them out and wipe them clean and dry and if you do soap it because it is really messy, you have to dry it up on the heated stove. If you do that they will develop that none stick surface seasoning and last forever my french ones have done so and these have started already to do so too.

Buy World Cuisine Black Steel Frying Pans Now

I purchased both an 8" and 10" black steel pan but they sent me a heavy duty carbon steel pan for the 8" pan, which I have no problem with.

The bigger the pan, the heavier it gets and more difficult to toss food but if you are a man it shouldn't be a problem. I used it for quick, high heat stir-fry, pan fry and searing meat and it worked well.

If you have never use or season carbon steel pan before make sure you educate yourself first. I learned the hard way and had to scour, scour and scour to remove the bad seasoning and redo the seasoning. The idea of seasoning is to add layer/s of carbon onto the surface of the pan to protect it from rust and achieve that nonstick characteristic. With good professional cooking skills and knowledge, even without the nonstick seasoning on you can still cook up a variety of dishes with 'sticky' ingredients such as eggs, fish, meat, potatoes and etc.

The only setback is that it takes daily maintenance with daily use at the beginning. Make sure the pan is cleaned correctly with hot water, nonabrasive material and NO DISH DETERGENT. Try not to cook anything acidic such a tomatoes, citrus fruits juice or vinegar or you will have to do the seasoning over again. That is exactly what I mean when I mention think twice before you commit. It takes discipline to care for your pan. My wife complained that I cared for the pan more than her. LOL!

I like the design and look of french style pans and it lasts a long time. Its a good investment if you are willing to commit to maintaining the condition of the pan.

Decent quality carbon steel fry pans--what restaurants use. A little bit thin (1.5ml ?), but they heat up fast and then cool quickly when removed from the heat--BIG pluses in the restaurant world. Thin steel fry pans like this often warp, also common in restaurant kitchens, so be aware of that. They season well and work just fine. If you want something thicker and more upscale for the home kitchen, consider deBuyer's Mineral pans...

Want World Cuisine Black Steel Frying Pans Discount?

I did not expect much from the pan when purchased but it was not expensive and I wanted to give it a try. I did not want to use the regular non-stick cookware anymore.

It takes a little skill to learn how to use it but it does what it says season it well and after each cleaning and it will give you non-stick results. Must dry it after washing because it does rust.

Especially good for eggs! Just wipe after use and ready to go again. I use butter to cook my eggs but I am sure PAM will work just as well.

I gave it only 4 stars because it tends to lean a little toward the heavier handle.

Delonghi Model OS-01 Jumbo Fryer, Sauce Pan and Saute Pan

Delonghi Model OS-01 Jumbo Fryer, Sauce Pan and Saute PanTired of the Teflon products, then came the coated that you can't put in a dishwasher, or the ceramic that chips? Me too! So, I've gone to Stainless Steel and needed this exact size. For the money, the quality, the size and the convenience I'm convinced this is the only way to go.

With high sides and stainless cover, this will also allow oven use to 500 degrees F. The small pot-holder handle 180 dsegree from the main handle allows for ease of both stove-top or oven use. A quality all stainless item for a busy kitchen. Tri-ply on bottom but not sides posed no problem for me. I like the high sides better than a traditional skillet shape.

World's Finest Ply Steam Control 17-Piece Stainless-Steel Cookware Set

World's Finest Ply Steam Control 17-Piece Stainless-Steel Cookware SetI love to cook with the cookware however the lids have a valve that quickly falls apart and does not hold up to normal use. The lid then does not hold the pressure in on the foods being cooked which allows the moisture to escape (these are the food moistures that would have cooked the food).

I bought this set and was not happy with it.I found it scratches easily and I am not using plastic utensils when I cook!I sent back one set which was found to be faulty, and was sent a new set only to have two of the lids valves not to work at all-couldn't open or close them.Sent that set back too.Now I'm out over $60. shipping and nothing to show for it.

I bought this set AFTER buying other name brand store bought sets...that were much more expensive.I guess I am pretty hard on cookware since my other sets never lasted very long.I was constantly searching for a high quality set that would LAST.I was amazed when I went to the fair and saw a Health Craft waterless/greaseless cookware demonstration.I wanted that set so badly. But was completely shocked when the price was $4000.I would go to many shows for years hoping/dreaming that the price would go down.It never did.

By accident, I happened upon this set when I was searching for used Health Craft online.(Yes, I was that desperate for good quality cookware...LOL)I decided to give this set a chance.I decided it was worth the try since it was so much less money ($179.00 included shipping). That was 10 years ago and my set still looks almost new.My friends and family are amazed when they see my set.I have not had any problems with the knobs or whistles.I don't know if the construction is different now than it was then. But, I guarantee you that I am not gentle with my set.It is a huge set and I never run out of pans when cooking for a large group.I did have to learn to quit trying to cook on high. You don't need it and it will burn your food.Trust me...I learned the hard way...LOL.It is also nice that the food seems to cook more evenly since it doesn't just cook from the bottom up.The sides retain enough heat to help cook as well.Seriously, if your pan is covered, you can turn the burner off and your food will stay warm for hours in the large pot without overcooking. It is amazing. You would think that your kitchen would get really hot, but it doesn't since you don't need to cook on high heat any longer.

Caution: This set is heavy to pick up.But, I assume that is normal since it is so well constructed with so many layers.

The pans also stack very nicely in my cabinets when you turn the lid upside down in its pan. They look very neat and organized. They seem to use less space than most smaller sets because of this.Another bonus...no more stacks of noisy lids to sort through when I need to cover the food.I always used to waste a whole cabinet just for lids. This was an unexpected and pleasant surprise to this set of cookware.

I hope this helps anyone who is on the fence about purchasing this set.I have been very happy with it.I honestly see this set lasting me the rest of my life and I am only 41.I am so glad that I purchased this set and quit wasting my hard earned money on name brand sets that only lasted a few years.

The product is quite amazing. You will taste vegetables like it's the first time you've ever tasted them! And other meats, fish & chicken area great! The cleanup is a little hard to say.To get it pretty clean is not that hard, but to get it spotless takes a little more work.A solution of apple cider vinegar works very well.

Thepaperwork however has a little to be desired. For example the directions & cooking tips seem to have a little lost in the language translation or are just vague at times. Also the warranty process is frankly quite shocking,it states to send in the product to a P.O. box in Texas with a check presumably blank to pay for return shipping & handling. Also there was no number to contact the company to find out about this process or if one would like to purchase additions items or handles since they are not covered at all.But from what I can tell one shouldn't have any problems with the exception of the handles if you burn them or maybe the valves which is also the handle on the lids so be careful of that. All in all it's definitely worth it!

If you want to buy this cookware from Amazon, be aware that the price fluctuates wildly. When I started shopping for this cookware, I saw it priced at Amazon in the $300's. Some time later, the price went down to the $190's. Then it went up again to the high $200's. Finally, I bought the set on 9/12/08 for $181.52. A week later, the price dropped to $155.73. I was able to get a price match. Today, as I am writing this review, the price is at $348.30.

I like the cookware. Everything feels high quality except for the lid knobs. I can't understand why they would put such cheap feeling lid knobs on what otherwise is an excellent cookware set. Except for these knobs, it has the same feel as the $2000 sets that you see at country fairs. But considering the price I paid for it and free shipping, the cookware is a very good value.

My wife likes cooking vegetables with it. It's easier and quicker than having to boil water. The cookware does stain or suffer some discoloration on the inside after some use. Also, try not to burn food in it. It's not nearly as easy to clean as those non-stick teflon sets.

I recently purchased a Stanco Metal #GS-1200 Grease Strainer Cup/Lid which was heavily damaged during delivery.Upon contacting the company, I was told that there were no more in stock and that I could just mail the item back.I informed them to mail the item back was more expensive than the item itself.Later that day, a representative called to inquiry as to why I was dissatisified with the company. After explaining the situation, I was given a full refund of the product and my shipping and handling cost returned as well.I appreciate business like this and would consider purchasing from this company again.

Almost exactly like the Wal-Mart Grease Pot. The lip is on the outside, which most people prefer. You'll have to blacken the bottom yourself.Pot and lid weighs in at 3.71 ounces, including the label, which is about 20 grams less than my old Wal-Mart pot.The little 6-gram black handle on the lid is removable.

This should be hand washed only. The day I got it I threw it in the dishwasher since I was ready to run it.The nonpainted metal tarnished a bit.It still stores and strains used frying oil so it works great for me.

Like a couple previous reviewers, I bought this to use as an ultralight backpacking pot. It's a perfect companion to my homemade Super Cat stove. The wider base makes for efficient heat distribution, and it has plenty of volume (~30oz or 32oz filled to the brim) for a freeze dried meal and coffee or tea for one or two people. Weight without the handle is 2.9oz/83g.

Oster CKSTGRFM-1018 10 by 18-1/2-Inch Griddle with Warming Tray, Black

Oster CKSTGRFM-1018 10 by 18-1/2-Inch Griddle with Warming Tray, BlackI absolutely love this item, it has been used several times since purchase. It cooks everything evenly, the warming tray really keeps things warm, and there have been NO issues with sticking what-so-ever.It's wonderful.

Product is working beautifully. It heats eavenly and cooks quickly. The only problem we have had is with the warming drawer. It sticks when sliding in or out. Runners need to be made easier to slide.

The warming tray is handy (though not that big) and the grill works well as long as you pre-heat the griddle like we are supposed to.With all of the plastic though, I am not sure this product will last longer than 5 years, depending on use.For the price, it works quite well.

I was pleased with my purchase, but didn't use the warming tray. I have used it once so far.

I do need to get used to the temperature as I cooked the first pancakes too dark. The second

set were better. I had used a long electric skillet only as a griddle, and it lasted for many

years, so this is a new experience with this item. I am sure I will enjoy it the more I use it.

Charcoal Companion CC5099 Cast Iron Sauce Pan with Silicone Head Basting Brush

Charcoal Companion CC5099 Cast Iron Sauce Pan with Silicone Head Basting BrushThis is a small heavy cast iron pot that is perfect for using on the grill to keep sauces warm while food cooks. I chose it over a comparable product from Lodge because the Lodge version seemed to have a small base, which would make it more susceptible to being knocked over when flipping and turning food. This pot is heavy and the base is almost as wide as the top. the handle is short but adequate so it can be picked up and moved but doesn't take up much room. I cook on a Big Green Egg so space is always at a premium. The silicone brush is nice as well but since the brush handle is plastic, I would not leave it on the pan while over the fire.

I recommend seasoning this after you buy it and before using it. Seasoning is easy. Simply coat the entire pan inside and out with crisco, then place the pot upside down on an oven rack and bake for an hour at 350. To catch the crisco that runs off, put another pan or baking sheet lined with foil on the rack below. Of course, you could also place it in your grill coated with crisco and let that heat season it for the same length of time.

Le Creuset makes a small enameled cast iron pot that could probably serve the same purpose but without a handle (and hence even less likely to be knocked over). But it was more expensive and didn't include the bonus brush. So overall, this pot was just right.

It's exactly as stated in info..tiny saucepan.I wanted it for a grease holder or butter melter. It's perfect for that and attractive on the stove.I put a red silicone pad under it and keep it in the center of the stove top.

Just what I needed for heating basting sauces on the grill.A good solid base that won't tip over and the perfect size.Well made.I consider the basting brush a bonus. It would have been worth it without that.

This has been probably the best purchse (next to the grill) that I have made for my patio. The only drawback is that you really need to wait to put your saucepan on after the grill has heated, otherwise the sauce will cook away. Cleaning is easy-I just use a 'dedicated' brush & warm water (NO SOAP!) to scrub the pan & let it drip dry. The brush is extremely easy to clean.

I use this in my smoker to cook my bbq sauses as I cook other items < Nice brush with silicone head that you can use with the heat from the smoker without it melting. I liked it over the others since it is not easy to tilt over.

Cuisinart 726-38H Chef's Classic Stainless 14-Inch Stir-Fry Pan with Helper Handle and Glass Cover

Cuisinart 726-38H Chef's Classic Stainless 14-Inch Stir-Fry Pan with Helper Handle and Glass CoverI have been looking for a stainless wok for sometime.I did not want a non stick finish as when heated too hot they produce fumes that can be toxic to pet birds.

I purchased this Cusinart Stainless 14 inch stir fry.It is a great pan.It is good looking, large so you can cook a lot of food in it.It is extremely easy to clean. It comes with a nice glass lid.It is also light weight.I own the set of Cuisnart Stainless Cookware that I bought last year on Amazon.I am very happy with the set. This wok pan is an excellent value, you simply will not find a good quality wok at this price.Buy It!!

I am aware that there is another review saying the same thing has happened, dated 2009. We bought this pan and really love it, and use it nearly daily for soups and curries, etc. We've had it for some months and have used it with the lid on, quite often. The other day, we had a chana masala dish simmering (medium-low) with the lid on, and the whole lid shattered. It sounded like a shotgun going off, or like a small transformer blowing. There was no glass in the food in fact, it may be a corning-type glass designed to take heat and to break with rounded edges, like windshields.

I have contacted Cuisinart and was told that we would have to pay shipping and handling. I find this outrageous and unnacceptable, and am pursuing the issue further.

What I want to hear is that Cuisinart is aware of the situation and concerned about possible user endangerment. Perhaps this is a rare event; perhaps the fact that there's no vent led to this situation. Maybe there's a flaw in the glass. Whatever the reason, it's been reported twice on Amazon, so leads me to believe that not only could it happen to others, it probably has done so. I do not know whether the previous reviewer told the company, but I would hate to think that two years (at least) have passed with no change to the design of this pot, if Cuisinart did know of the problem.

Cuisinart customer service was prompt and polite, so I have no complaints about that.

I had shopped around on the internet for a wok like this and this was the best price by far with free shipping too. The quality of this wok is great and we love cooking with it. The see thru lid makes it great to see your food while it is cooking, my old one didn't have that. Would highly recommend this product.

I've been using woks made of cast iron, aluminums, Teflon-coated materials etc.Learned about some of those materials can react with food and formulate chemical reactions, or the synthetic coating can break down sooner or later. Realized while the family was happily gobbling the foods down, also took along those chemical elements into our bodies. Then I found Cuisinart 14" stainless steel wok when I shopped around for an idea wok. I've had this wok for over a month now. I'm practically impressed. It transfers heat very well, gives adequate heat to do crisp stir fry vegetable dishes. The 14" diameter gives plenty of space to cook for 4 people. I especially like how easy it is to clean. I can scrub it as hard as I want to with soapy water, and don't worry about take the synthetic coat off or the wok will become rusty later on.

Vollrath Z4010 Wear-Ever CeramiGuard II Interior Fry Pan with Cool Handle, 10-Inch

Vollrath Z4010 Wear-Ever CeramiGuard II Interior Fry Pan with Cool Handle, 10-InchI bought my first Lincoln Wearever pan probably about 12 years ago.I have both a 10 inch and 7 inch pan, but only the 7 inch pan has the ceramigard coating. In using these pans nearly daily for all of that time, I haven't had to replace either of them until today.

I suppose you'll want to know why I'm buying another one, so to make a long story short, a friend was using the pan while we were camping and he was using a serrated knife to cut vegetables while he was cooking. In the pan.:-(Well they don't make a non stick pan that can put up with that abuse and my non-stick coating is now trashed, so here I am looking for a replacement 10 inch pan.The old one was not a ceramigard finish, but used the older wearguard finish.

As for my experiences in using these pans, they take quite a lot of abuse.I've used these on high heat for stir fry's and never had the coating break down. The only thing you do have to worry about is smoking your frying oil which will cause the oil to polymerize onto the coating and it's then very hard to remove. Also, the weight of these pans is superior to everything else I've found which helps to ensure even cooking. My old 10 inch pan weighs about 32 ounces with the rubber handle removed and most of that weight is in the thick bottom and sides of the pan. Finally, the nice gently sloped sides make flipping food very easy.I can even do eggs over easy without picking up a spatula in the morning (note: this takes a bit of practice).

To me, this is a no-brainer.Just buy it and don't think too much about it.It's exceedingly rare to find something of this quality in today's market.

Bought this pan to replace the one I bought over 20 years ago. That's right 20 years. My old pan finally wore out, mostly because other pans were being stored on top of it.The coating is the best out there and 20 years of regular use proves it.

Had this pan for about a month now.Good non-stick surface.Quality construction; sits flat on the burner.I was afraid the blue handle might come loose, but it has stayed tight so far.The only complaint is with the shipping. This pan comes from outside restuarant supply co. and they simply stuffed the pan between the layers of a flattened box, applied tape and mailed it.A good pan like this deserves better treatment.
