T-fal Signature Hard Anodized Fry Pans

T-fal D9130764 Signature Hard Anodized Oven Safe Nonstick Thermo-Spot Heat Indicator 12-Inch Fry Pan, GrayI love this pan. My only issue is that the pan is not deep enough to cook a meal for a big family. My fault though because I didn't realize a saute pan had short sides.I have always had good success with T-Fal pans especially considering the price when compared to others such as scanpan. So far it is completley non-stick and easy to clean.I will continue to buy T-Fal pans until a better product comparably priced is introduced.

I'm a connoisseur of cookware by no means, but expected

an 8" skillet to be bigger than this.

I got out my machinist measuring scale and come up with

the following measurements; largest diameter at top of rim= 7.55",

flat area at inside of bottom= approximately 5.5".

This is about big enough for a couple eggs or maybe a sandwich.

By no means what I expected.

On the bright side, we will use it in it's capacity,

and it is VERY high quality, in my opinion.

We purchased based on a prior purchase of another pan of the same brand and line.

After less than six months this pan has developed little blisters and the coating is peeling off! When I contacted T-Fal they said to send the pan to them for evaluation. It would take 4-6 weeks for them to determine if the pan is defective. If they determine that it is not, then they will send it back to me at MY expense (in addition to me sending it to them at MY expense!).I was then told that it was probably caused by me using an aerosol on the pan which would void the warranty.Sounds like they've already determined that it's my fault!!The warranty that came with my pan does not mention anything at all about aerosol and I haven't used it anyway!!Nor have I ever used a metal utensil or placed this in the dishwasher. This is a shoddy product with a useless warranty!I would never buy another T-Fal product!!

I bought this pan for my husband based on everyone's positive feedback.Sadly after three uses, the coating on the bottom had bubbled up and I will have to return the pan.I hope there is another more durable non-stick pan that I can order as a replacement.

The pan is advertised as being anodized. You would assume that would mean inside the pan.It only means outside. It is not anodized non-stick on the cooking surface.Very disappointed.

Guy Fieri 10-in. Nonstick Fry Pan, Tattoo Flames

Guy Fieri 10-in. Nonstick Fry Pan, Tattoo Flamesthe pan cooks fine but it was purchsed to also be a bit of art. after using it a couple times the paint on the bottom has blackened to the point that you barely make out the image. i would not recomend this unless you plan to hang it on a wall or place it on a shelf for display purposes.his knives are great the frying pan not so great.

We got this for my fiance's son and it fits his style perfectly. He loves to cook and this will add a bit of a personal touch to his kitchen. The item arrived well packaged and in good condition.

Green Cuisine 7 Inch Skillet with Non Stick Ceramic Coating

Green Cuisine 7 Inch Skillet with Non Stick Ceramic CoatingI received one of these as a gift, and I am blown away.I can't comment on how durable it is, since I've just been using it about a week, but the non-stick ability is just amazing.I've cooked eggs, stir-fry, and spaghetti sauce in it, and everything just slides right out.And clean-up is so easy since nothing sticks, a quick swipe with a dishrag and some soap/hot water, and it's all clean. No soaking necessary, and I don't find myself putting it in the sink to procrastinate cleaning it...I don't even fill up the sink.

I was looking for a "green" alternative to my teflon pans, which inevitably end up scratched and, therefore, dangerous.I have a great cast-iron pan, but it's a pain to clean and some things stick to it like crazy so it's not practical for scrambling a couple of eggs or a quick grilled cheese sandwich.I love this pan!

I plan to "baby" this pan as much as possible to avoid chips and scratches, but the surface does seem pretty durable.

Revere Polished Aluminum 12-Inch Nonstick Skillet

Revere Polished Aluminum 12-Inch Nonstick SkilletI had a 12-inch T-Fal skillet that was wearing out (was no longer sitting even on the stove, and the teflon was flaking) so decided to purchase a 12-inch Revere Ware skillet.I used Revere Ware skillets a number of years ago and found them to be of high quality. Not any more. When I received the 12-inch skillet I found that instead of perfectly round, it protruded towards the back where the handle attaches. Thus, any lids for 12-inch skillets would not fit. This is a quality control problem, as it was definitely not designed in, based on the unevenness of the protrusion. It was so obvious that I'm wondering if there is quality control done on these. Also the handle did not fit tight but jiggled a bit.On the plus side it is lightweight and it appears to have a good coating of teflon. One surprise is my old Revere Ware skillets were made in the USA.As one might have guessed, these were made in China.Somehow I figured that a skillet having Paul Revere's image on the bottom, along with the year "1801" might still be made in the USA.

I ordered this skillet even with the mixed reviews because I loved the previous one I have had for more than 10 years. This one is definitely not going to last that long. After one dinner use, the handle is already loose. It feels very flimsy compared to my old one.I will use it until it falls apart but I won't be replacing it with another one. This was such a disappointment.I just hope the teflon coating is not going to come apart as quickly as the handle. The teflon coating was the problem with my old one & I had to replace it.I am not getting any more w/teflon coatings & am sticking with the ss versions.

I received this as a Christmas gift along with the 12" lid.It was my first really decent skillet, so I didn't know what to expect, but it has really fared well in my kitchen.I make 1 dish meals for two, chicken parmesean, pancakes, anything really and clean up couldn't be easier. My one complaint is that it doesn't always cook evenly, so I'm constantly rotating. You don't need high temps to get quick results. As for the lid, the handle broke off shortly after getting it, so unfortunately, I need to buy a new one (which seems a little overpriced if you ask me!)But the price for this pan is worth what you get, a more-than-decent skillet for those "just starting off".

I got this pan hearing that RevereWare was a good brand. When I brought it back home to try out, the pan had warped within just a few weeks of using it.After doing a little more research, it seems that RevereWare products USED to be high quality but not really anymore.

I would not recommend this pan to anyone looking to get one.

Revereware used to be really good, now it's made in China and the quality is terrible. This pan was so out of round that my lid would not fit on it. And the aluminum was so thin and cheap. Just a lousy pan all the way around. I promptly sent it back. I gotgreat pan at TJ Max for $25. Amazon shouldn't even sell crappy merchandise like this.

Heavy Large Cast Iron Reversible Stovetop Griddle

Heavy Large Cast Iron Reversible Stovetop GriddleThis griddle is much more generous in size than any other griddle I have found. The placement of the handles provides a good compromise of cooking surface to handle.

Since it lacks that grease channel that most other griddles have, you gain that in usable cooking surface. You don't need a lot of grease to keep foods from sticking to cast iron, particularly the griddle side. Also, other griddles have a slight slope to them for that grease to drain toward the grease well . . . which means, lopsided pancakes.

The grill side is also more evenly spaced than other griddles and makes for great panini sandwiches.

The preseasoning was acceptable, but all cast iron gets better with age and more seasoning. All in all, a great griddle/grill and great price. I use it almost daily.Only regrets are that it's not a little bigger to fit better over electric burners and that it's not an American made product.

Quality of product is very poor.Hoping that after seasoning and using over time I will have a decent griddle. This is the only griddle that actually fits on my gas stove. The size is perfect.

Paula Deen Signature Stainless Steel 4-Quart Fryer with Basket and Lid

Paula Deen Signature Stainless Steel 4-Quart Fryer with Basket and LidI purchased a basic starter set of the Paula Deen Stainless, Copper Bottom cookware set. The pans cook evenly, clean easily and look attractive so, I bought several other pieces for the set, including this deep fryer. The copper bottom distributes the heat evenly which is important for cooking, especially in a deep fryer. This fryer is also the perfect size. The only issue when you use the pan, the copper color changes. So, to get the shine back, you need to buy a copper cleaner to restore the shine.

This pot was wonderful. They do not make this quality anymore and anyone who is wondering about it, you won't be dissapointed!

I finally got a deep fryer to make fish in and I am so happy. The only thing is I wish that it came with a thermometer because it takes the oil so long to heat up. (I'm using peanut oil like it suggested.) Other than that I love it. And btw, I did what it told me to do, as far as soaking the copper bottom in water and baking soda before using, and it still discolored when put on the fire. I'm not hanging it on display, so it doesn't matter to me anyway, just thought I'd mention it.

I have a 12" titanium skillet from Cuisinart and that thing is a work out. This is much light and easier to use. I wouldn't mind if it was bigger, but it does the job. Also would like it more if it can handle over 350 in the oven, but it came out unscathed at 350 (including the not so useful plastic tab on the handle) degrees.

George Foreman GGR50 Indoor/Outdoor Grill

George Foreman GGR50B Indoor/Outdoor GrillBefore I get into this review, we have to understand the product we are looking at: a George Foreman ELECTRIC grill. George Foreman products are essentially useful variations of hotplates. In this case, the hot plate takes the form of a grill (with a stand, a dome cover, a large cooking surface with raised grooves etc...).

That being said, this product caters to people (me) willing to try a product that is not a traditional charcoal grill, could be useful in smaller spaces/porches, looks like it is easy to use and clean up, could potentially cut some fat (never hurts, right?), and seems like it will work well as a good back-up grill or a quick solution to throwing mini-bbqs requiring even heat distribution without the hassle of buying/lighting/dumping coal. If that's you, then read on...

Here, I'll try my best to outline the grill's pros and cons, as well as do a quick, inevitable comparison it to a traditional charcoal grill.

PROS:

The pros of this grill basically equal the pros of using hot plates in general:

1) Quick Heat The whole surface heats up very quickly (you'll be ready to cook in a few minutes after you twist the switch)

2) Design Basically you have the stand, a bottom dome, the flat grill that sits on the bottom dome, then the lid (top dome). You can easily remove the flat grill part to use indoors separate from the stand, and it also makes for easy cleaning since you can just throw the flat grill surface in the sink.

3) Easy to Clean The grill surface is relatively easy to clean. Understand, grease is never easy to clean. But in my situation, i wipe off the chunks of grease with paper towels, then run hot water over it in the sink (yes it fits in my sink) and wash it with a soapy sponge. It's basically like cleaning a big oily plate by hand in the sink, however easy or hard that is to you.

4) Space Saving The bulk of the materials are where it should be: the grilling surface. Everything else (aka the stand) is small and portable.

5) Easy to Assemble A no brainer. Put the pole of the stand into the foot of the stand. Attach the grilling surface to the bottom dome. Stick that whole thing on the stand. Then put the cover on top. Took a few minutes while I was watching TV.

6) Great Tasting Food Of course this part is important. I tried cooking everything unseasoned and it just tastes great. I mean, this this one thing I love about hotplates...food tastes good without a lot of seasoning. I cooked unseasoned burgers, top sirloin, chuck roast, kielbasa..it was fast, it tasted good, and it had good looking grill stripes on it when I was done.

Cons:

Seriously, not much that I can think of. If I had to be picky:

1) Could be a little heavy for people with a bad back?

2) When you lift it by the handles, the stand comes out (since they're not really "attached"....the grill just sits on the stand.) So you gotta lift it by the pole of the stand, really...this isn't even a con truthfully.

3) People complain about the grease not dripping into the pan. Well, it's a hot plate with grooves and a hole in it for grease to drip. Of course not all the grease magically swims toward the magical grease drip hole. But still, it works fine...I didn't notice sever grease build-up that stood in the way of my grilling.

Comparison to a Traditional Grill:

Really, there shouldn't be a comparison. Obviously this is not a charcoal grill and should never be compared to one. They are just 2 different things, and so they make food taste different: traditional grills basically fire cook your food through the coal's heat so you get the taste of charcoal while this product essentially "pan sears" your food. I'm a long time lover of all kinds of BBQ, and charcoal grills are great fun, make great tasting food and really cannot be replicated. You shouldn't be buying this grill to ever *REPLACE* a charcoal grill; it should be bought to be a 2nd grill that's great for rainy days or a primary grill if you really have no space and don't have time/space to deal with lighting and dumping charcoal.

Overall, this grill is an electric hot plate with raised grooves that makes great tasting food quickly, quietly, and easily. And for what it is, it's a SUPERB product (and relatively affordable too!). Go get one! I didn't regret my purchase and I don't think you will either.

Originally I saw my mother's George Forman grill (smaller indoor one with lid). Then I saw my brother's Party Size grill. Both of them love their grill.I was able to taste the food from both and found it very tasty and easy to use.I decided to do some investigating on my own intending to purchase the party size grill, when I saw the indoor/outdoor grill.I was impressed with the fact that it appeared to be a bigger cooking surface and the price I found was within reason.I purchased it for the purpose of using it as an extra grill for a cookout I was having. No one used the gas grill at all.I have since used it indoors without the stand, making it convient on rainy days.It is the easiest grill to use and clean that we have ever owned. You can cook everything evenly, because there are no coals to level out.It can easily hold 4 to 5 steaks, 10 big hamburgers, and the list goes one.I am sure there are some drawbacks to those that swear by gas/charcoal grills, but my gas grill has found a permanent residence in our shed, while George sits ready to use at any time indoors or out on our back porch.I am so impressed, that I am purchasing one for my parents for Christmas, to replace the charcoal grill that takes for ever to heat up and messy to clean. I'm sure they'll love it too!

I bought this grill 4 months ago and have used it several times per week ever since.I am a very lazy cook with 3 hungry teens and a hubby who eats like he's a heavyweight boxer. So, I needed something that would cook and clean-up as easily as possible.I can turn on the grill (it has an adjustable thermostat), take out a package of frozen chicken, hamburger patties, whatever, prepare it as usual, and the grill is ready to go to work. Dinner is on the table in no time. Its non-stick surface is just that, making clean-up simple and quick.

I am quite happy with the surface area, as I can easily fit 8 large burgers on at once. I live in the frozen north, so the fact that this grill will also work indoors is plus.

It's portable, reliable, easy to use and clean, and a bargain compared to other outdoor grills.

George put his name on a very good product.

Update: I have owned this grill for 2 1/2 years now and it still works like new!

Let's get right to it:

Pros:

1. Can be used on decks and balconies where gas or charcoal are forbidden as a fire risk.

2. Small footprint, can be used tableside or on pedestal

3. Foreman (Salton) quality is reliable

4. No gas or charcoal lighter flavor--great if you are chemically sensitive (I happen to be.)

5. Quick heating

6. No need to replenish a gas bottle or run out of charcoal.

Now the Cons:

1. Be careful of the fat drainage; if you clog the hole, it can get ugly, real ugly.

2. On that note, if you have a composite deck--one made of resin and sawdust or even a wood deck, any spilled fat or juices will stain your planks. An outdoor rug or mat under the grill is a good idea--something that will catch drips.

3. The grill really isn't as hot as really hot charcoal or gas and you won't get that char-broiled taste. No different than cooking indoors.

4. Requires an outlet.

This type of grill is very common in Europe, where charcoal and gas are not popular or outright forbidden (for example, in Germany, where fires are taken seriously. In a country where houses are cheek-by-jowl, fire prevention is of primary concern.) If you are in an area that does not allow open fire or outdoor grilling, this is a very excellent alternative.

Want George Foreman GGR50 Indoor/Outdoor Grill Discount?

My only problem is the "convenient" drip pan.Maybe i'm the only one who likes to cook more than one thing at a time; but anyways, the fat and juices of the meat quickly overflowed the tiny drip pan and ran out the bottom making a mess everywhere. The "convenient" drip pan is located under the hot metal plate and you just try and empty it while cooking.Luckily I was cooking outside!! The grill works surprisingly well and the food produced was just excellent.Be aware of this problem or you might not be so lucky.

La Paella Stainless Steel Paella Pan

La Paella 24-Inch Stainless Steel Paella PanThis stainless steel paella pan performed as expected. The paella it produced from the Bomba rice I purchased from Amazon was praised by all my guests, one of whom was a gourmet cook who liked the product so much she copied down all the details of the recipe and said the wanted a paella pan like this.

I was looking for a staniless steel paella pan that was big enough to feed 16 people, that was easy to clean and long lasting, that fitted in my round Weber charcoal grill and that handle bars that did not burn my hand when I finished cooking. This pan meet all those requirements. The cheaper carbon and steel paella pans are very hard to maintain and they do not last long.

Delonghi BG24 Perfecto Indoor Grill

Delonghi BG24 Perfecto Indoor GrillI am very satisfied with this grill; I have also given it as a gift to a relative who also loves it and uses it frequently.

Some of the problems described here (not hot enough, etc.), in my opinion, stem from improper use.Like any grill, you have to let it warm up, before plopping quarter pound hamburgers on it. My daughter over-cooked chicken breasts on it(they looked great (grill lines, etc.) but they were dry)--so the comments here about the heating element not working are simply not true.

I love the glass top that contains spattering; I also line the bottom of the grill (when cooking) with aluminum foil to make clean up easier. The grill itself is something of a pain to clean, but I put mine in the dishwasher and it comes out great.

This grill performs very well, but you have to allow sufficient time for the heating element to get the grill hot and choose the correct heat settings in connection with what you are cooking--not exactly rocket science, but judging from the reviews here, some people obviously find this challenging.

I got this grill about a week ago and I love it. First of all the cooking area is BIG.. and wonderful so that you can really cook. I also love how you can adjust the heat setting depending on what you are cooking instead of like my former George where it was 1 temp was supposed to cook all ( which burnt the outside of thick pieces of meat and chicken breast and left the inside way underdone)I also love how the fat drips down immediatlyinto the tray. On my George ( a big one) the fat would come sort of off one burger and then run into the other burger and stay therewithout ever going into the tray thing. Clean up is alot easier than George because I can stick all of it except the temp control into the sink or dishwasher to wash. I also like the lid that keeps the food from drying out while cooking and warm before it is served. I will admit it is not as fast as George but honestly the quality of food I cook is so much better b/c it has been cooked right and not just fast. This grill IMO is much more similar to cooking on an outside grill and the taste is better for it. I highly reccomed this product over it's competition, there is no comparrison! Move over George, YOU GO GRILL!

I have had my grill for a week, we've cooked lean steaks on it, pork chops, and the other night we cooked hamburgers on it.This is my first indoor grill so when one review mentioned the "George Foreman" grill was a bit faster, I was amazed I thought the Delonghi cooked pretty fast!!Clean up was really easy and one MUST remember to preheat it.I gather some have not.And as to smoking I haven't had any but then I buy lean meats and put water in the bottom if I think the food will drip a lot of fat.Fat dripping into the large tray in the bottom is what burns and causes the smoke.I've only used water once, with the hamburgers (no smoking). This really is a great grill and large enough to be more than satisfying (actual cooking space is 15"x11").Ease and comfort of use is amazing.I highly recommend it!

I've had this grill for about 2 years now but I've only used it about four times. After using it the last time I noticed blistering of the grill non-stick coating (Teflon?).I was able to scratch this off in a few places with my fingernail to verify if the coating was blistering or if these spots were just imperfections underneath.I wasn't pleasantly surprised to find that the blistering came off easily and that this could be in my food the next time I use it (healthy grilling!). I had many flects of coating on the table after running my fingernail over the blisters exposing the bare metal of the grill.

I therefore cannot recommend this product to anyone.By the way, I've only used a soapy sponge to clean the grill and never used metalic utensils on in while cooking. The "blistering" of the teflon tells me that the metal of the grill was not primed correctly before the coating was applied.Has this happened to anyone else? Before I throw this grill away I'm going to try to contact the manufacturer and see if they can replace the grill element seeing how this looks like a manufacturing defect.

This is the third Delonghi grill I have owned. The first was very similar to this model in that it had a non-stick surface. It was great.I had to replace it after 2-3 years since the power plug in unit broke.I replaced it with a Delonghi unit that did NOT have a non stick surface. It was impossible to clean.I returned it for astore credit and bought the Perfecto from Amazon on-line.I have used it 2-3 times a week since I got it.It is easy to use, easy to clean and I am very pleased with the unit.
