Keilen Mexican Fiesta Fajita Platter Sizzler Set

Keilen Mexican Fiesta Fajita Platter Sizzler SetI love chicken fajitas and order them when I go out.When I saw this, I knew that I really enjoy it.It is small enough that storing it isn't a problem, even in a small apartment.It is also pretty affordable, whether you get it for yourself, give it as a gift or receive it as a gift.

A word of caution: the sizzler is going to be hot. I know most people know that, but just in case.:c)

My only suggestion is to let the sizzler soak in some warm, soapy water so you don't have to scrub it.

Feel like a professional fajita chef with this restaurant-style fajita pans, complete with matching trivet. Makes a great presentation when you bring the sizzling pan to the table. Sturdy cast iron will last forever, and the price is certainly right.

i think platter is just okay. we have used it a couple of times. the wood trivet cracked for the whole length in the middle after fist use. it could be better.

All-Clad LTD 11-Inch Square Nonstick Griddle

All-Clad LTD 11-Inch Square Nonstick GriddleI am not a big fan of the All Clad LTD line but I do love this pan.I much prefer the All Clad polished stainless steel line (I have almost every piece and love it) but at time I was making this purchase I didn't know they made a stainless griddle and I also wanted the nonstick surface, I am pretty sure the stainless griddle is not nonstick.This griddle is a perfect size for pancakes.I debated on the grande size, I decided that since I don't make pancakes everyday it didn't make sense to spend the extra money and deal with storing the larger size.Also, I prefer smaller pancakes and this size is a better price and much easier to store.It is a great size for 4 small/medium-sized pancakes.I imagine it would also be more challenging to keep up with more than 4 at a time, particularly of you are making eggs at the same time.

This pan is not dishwasher safe due to the nonstick surface, but don't worry it is a breeze to clean.This pan is very, very well made and is backed by a lifetime warranty.Sometimes this pan is sold {at a special price} if you see it grab it.It is a steal at that price.Once you try All Clad you will be hooked too! Highly recommended! A+!

Part of the cachet for me in purchasing an All-Clad product was that their factory is less than 50 miles from my home.I always try to support American MANUFACTURERS, and was quite shocked to find this particular piece labeled "Made in China for All-Clad."

Damn.You can't trust anybody.But as for the product---

It is a solid performer.The non-stick surface is very effective, and remember to follow the directions and cook on a lower heat than you normally would.The thick aluminum transmits heat well, and also holds the heat, so when your item is done, get it off the pan.

I have had this pan for two years.I have probably used it more than 100 times, usually to make pancakes or french toast.It does a very good job, better than the Calphalon griddle that I had before. I downgrade it because it scratches too easily -and I have made an effort from day one to take very good care of it, using only nylon spatulas, promptly washing it gently by hand, and storing it so it won't be scratched by other pans.Still, after all that care, it has become scratched.So my verdict is that the griddle does a good job but it requires a lot of TLC.

I love this pan!I have the All-Clad stainless line, and bought this pan when my youngest daughter started to like grilled cheese sandwiches.You just can't cook more than one sandwich at a time in a regular fry pan.This pan has plenty of space to cook 4 sandwiches at a time, or 4 pieces of french toast, or 4 eggs...the list goes on and on.

My dad came to visit, and was coerced into making pancakes.He had always used a square electric griddle at home, but he gave my griddle pan a try.He liked it so much I gave him one for Christmas!Once again, plenty of space to cook 4 pancakes at a time.

The non-stick coating is durable, the food slips right off, and it is easy to wash.That is important, because this pan can't go into the dishwasher.It is also rather heavy, but since I just set it on the burner and cook, that isn't an issue either.

Bottom line is that both my father and I are very happy to make room in our kitchens for this pan.

Not a great griddle. The finish requires alot of maintance to keep it non-stick. Have to clean it with baking soda after each few uses.I've had it about a year & it is so warped that it's un-usable.I called All Clad because it it supposed to have a warranty but they require you send it to them & they have to check it out & approved it & possibly in a few months they would do something but they said more than likely it was user error from using it on too high of heat.So in short, I'm out of luck.So don't waste your money on a cheaply made product.Spend a little more & get a good product.

T-fal Specialty Nonstick One Egg Wonder Pan

T-fal A8570084 Specialty Nonstick One Egg Wonder 4.5-Inch Fry Pan Dishwasher Safe Cookware, Grey

I usually use high quality pots and pans, some of which are very expensive.However, I bought this little guy because there are times that all I need is something this size.I got it mostly for one-egg omelettes but I can also see using it for a quick sauce or to warm up a small side dish.

The quality is about what I expected for the price and as little as I'll probably use it I'm sure that it will last for quite a while.I would rate it 4.5 stars but since we don't have half stars on Amazon I will give it 4.I hope that you enjoy my quick little video.

Love this little T-Fal baby! I make bagel or bun sized eggs without folding endlessly to make the ingredients fit on the bun. Perfect for a side of sautéed mushrooms, onions or anything you want to do on a small scale. It fits a perfect serving size for one person (or two eating light). I pushed the envelope and put two large eggs in it and it performed OK, however cooks better with one egg if you're putting extras in the pan with it. One swipe of a paper towel and it's ready for the next mini cooking task. This little thing has made my life so much easier because I'm not a confessed hand pan washer except for the ones I HAVE TO this one I do because it's so easy. No more big pans sitting in the sink and no more lazy lunches! I work at home and can fry up tofu for a salad, eggs for my hubby, onions for burgers, garlic for sauces . . . sometimes we just don't need a big pan to do those big flavor items! I'm ordering three more for gifts after using mine every day for a month. Love the non-stick too.

I like this one egg wonder pan very much.It's easy to clean and perfect for just the one egg.However, be aware that it measures 4/34 inches across the TOP and so the bottom is even smaller.I blieve the ad could have been a little more clearer about whether the measurement was across the top or the bottom, as many pans are measured across the bottom.Therefore, I was slightly disappointed, but just slightly.All in all, I like it.

Works very well...to make MY Egg M?Muffins. I wish it had a lid..but it does not and so I use a small plate to cover.

Rachael Ray Porcelain Enamel II Nonstick Cookware Set, 10-Piece

Rachael Ray Porcelain Enamel II Nonstick 10-Piece Cookware Set, Orange Gradient ()They cook evenly. Pretty sturdily made with with rivets and they are lightweight without being flimsy. Easy to clean. Bottom of pans did not distort when heated. The padded handles for the lids and the pots are a sort of rubber or silicone which make for easy gripping and are cool to the touch (especially for the lids unlike metal handles). The colors are fun. The color is a an orange gradient that mutes the brightness of the orange color.

Why not a five star rating? I would like to see the layer of non-stick material to be thicker for more durability, but note that the pots and pans do come with a lifetime guarantee.

Good value for the money.

Also, note that these pots are not recommended for glass top stoves (per manual) as the ceramic bottom of the cookware could melt to the glass top.

()An attractive cookware set that covers the basics.The well-made pans offer a good cooking foundation, but are a little too lightweight.

I've been cooking elaborately for years and have used a wide variety of kitchen gear.Like most seasoned cooks, I have my favorite pans and pan-types, and habits in how I use them.I was pleased to see several of my "usual" sizes included in this set, including the 3qt saute pan, the 6qt dutch-oven style stockpot, and the 10" skillet.The 2qt saucepan is adequate, though I usually prefer a 2.5qt.The sides of the saute pan are high enough to stir a thick pasta sauce, the stockpot has a wide enough base to allow meat to brown.

The one omission is a heavy-bottomed 12" skillet, something I use regularly for frying and searing.

Less useful is the 1qt saucepan-there's not much I'd make in a 1qt that wouldn't be fine in the 2qt, and the 8.5" skillet is too small to be useful-it's fine if you want to fry an egg, or saute garlic (or a single shallot) separately, but I prefer to do that in the larger pan with the rest of the ingredients, the better to meld the flavors (and to have fewer dishes to wash).Most things that you would sear, toast, or saute will benefit from being in contact with the pan's cooking surface, making a small surface area less useful.But four (out of 6) useful pans is a much better ratio than most sets.

Caveats:Unlike my Calphalon pans, the handles on these are only rated oven-safe to 350F (rather than a more useful 450-500F ceiling).After 3 months use on a glass-top electric range, the 10" skillet (the piece I've been using most) has dark mars on the bottom (bad if you hang/display your pans).

The largest caveat is that these pans are entry-level thin.They do heat up quickly, but the thinness makes them bad for cooking dishes where the pan temperature needs to stay low-but-even, or where you're going to be adding cold items to the hot pan (eg, searing-these are far too thin to retain heat when you plop down a New York Strip).

For the beginner cook who doesn't have their own preferences or existing collection, this is a nice set to get them started, and it look nice too-a good choice for a gift.This 10-piece set is a bit expensive (versus other entry-level sets) and has a couple of "filler" pieces, but is a well-rounded package.Recommended with caveats.

UPDATE NOV 2012: These pans continue to hold up surprisingly well after a year of solid usage, and I've grown increasingly fond of them, so increasing my rating from 4 stars to 5 stars.The outer surfaces have gotten discolored/stained from such regular usage but the interiors remain flawless, and I find I reach for these pans more often than some of my heavier old-school pans.

I have had this set for almost a year.We use them every day.They look beautiful hanging in my kitchen and they just make cooking a little more fun.They have held up perfectly.I have a glass top stove so I was a little concerned when I read in the manual that they arent ideal for that type of stove, but I have never had an issue.

They are light in weight, but not in durability. They clean up easily and beautifully.I have used an SOS pad on the outside and it doesnt scratch. I have also found them in the dishwasher when my children have to clean the kitchen and they have remained scratch free.They actually look almost as good as the day I bought them!I am now ordering sets for my friends for Christmas!

I used some points from my credit card company to purchase this cookware set but wasn't completely sold on the orange color. A year later I am so glad that I didn't let the color keep me from getting this set. The one downside is that they are not dishwasher safe. On the other hand the nonstick works so well that it is effortless to wash these by hand. I have made sure to use utensils that won't scrach the coating, but these work great for everyday use. In the very distant future if I have to replace this set, I will definately buy again.

I received this set in green for Christmas this past year from my husband. I have some other RR products and I really liked them so he thought he was picking a good gift for me, however he didn't know they would leak! The pans leak where they are riveted together at the handle. Every time I make something in them it leaks out. It also happens when I wash them. (I know you can put them in the dishwasher, but I never put pots and pans in the dishwasher!)I was really disappointed in the quality of the item. I would have returned them, but before I used them I through the box and all the invoices away. I guess I learned to keep all receipts!

Anolon Advanced Bronze Hard Anodized Nonstick 10-Inch and 12-Inch Skillets Twin Pack

Anolon Advanced Bronze Hard Anodized Nonstick 10-Inch and 12-Inch Skillets Twin PackI've been unhappy with the performance of any number of nonstick frying pans with my glass top electric stove. It seemed whatever brand from cheapest up to expensive, all of them would warp concave at higher heat levels to where only the very center would have limited contact with the stove.I'd been searching for a THICK pan that would hopefully resist this effect, but almost everything, regardless of price, appears to be the same (thin) thickness.

So last week I'm browsing through the mall and saw this pan set and was amazed at the thickness.It looked twice as thick as everything else and had a substantial weight difference as well.Mall price was over twice what Amazon was selling them for so I just came right home and ordered this set along with the 8 inch single to round out the collection.

What a disapointment when these arrive and are just the same thickness and weight as everything else.Was I crazy and misremembering what I'd seen at the mall? No, because the 8 inch pan that also arrived was the thick version! Looks like Analon decided to cut costs somewhere along the line.A quick google search and I confirmed I'm not the only one to experience this.Too bad I'd torn the packaging off before I noticed otherwise I'd be returning them. I don't feel right giving it one star since $50 for a nice set of thin nonstick pans is not a terrible deal, but I'm not happy with the bait and switch Analon pulled.

I purchased a set of Analon Advanced pans in 2003 and never had an issue with then, but after 7 years of use I needed a new skillet. I purchased this twin pack and have been completely disappointed. Not only are they much lighter weight material compared to the original set, the non-stick coating started coming off after a few weeks of use. Do not recommend.

Analon Advanced skillets are great. They are especially easy to clean with the non-stick finish on the outside of the pan as well as the inside. Virtually nothing sticks. I've had my original Analon for several years with no problems, and after researching many other brands, both lower and higher end, decided to stay with Analon. For the home cook, you can't go wrong.

I bought these because I cannot use my cherished iron skillets on my new ceramic top stove. And they were such a good price, 2 for the price of one. However, I was put off a bit by the color.

Actually the pans are rather attractive, cook well, brown well. I have a lot of circulon and I like these better.

You won't be sorry that you bought these.

I'm so glad I found this set.

We've had the 8 inch skillet of this brand for a long time and it's a terrific little pan.

When our Calphalon pan lost it's non-stick quality, I decided to look for an Analon Advanced pan to replace it.

Finding this set at a great price was a bonus.

The pans are well made, the handles are comfortable and the sizes are extremely versatile.

We're very pleased with this purchase.

2-1/2 years later, these pans are still like new.I never put nonstick cookware in the dishwasher, but this brand is holding up much better than other similar priced brands I've tried over the years.

I use these pans often.After all this time, they are still non-stick, easy to cook in and easy to clean.

In my opinion, Anolon Advanced is superior to many better known brands.

Cuisinart Chef's Classic Enameled Cast Iron 9-1/4-Inch Square Grill Pan

Cuisinart CI30-23BG Chef's Classic Enameled Cast Iron 9-1/4-Inch Square Grill Pan, Provencal BlueI've been looking for a griddle/grill pan, but I have a ceramic top stove, so regular cast iron is a no-no. But after lots of searching, I found that enamel coated cast iron is okay to use, and had high remarks. I honed down my search, and found this Cuisenart grill pan to have all the attributes of the higher priced ones, and Amazon had the best price.....so I ordered it.

I got it 2 weeks ago, and it's quickly become my favorite pan. It grills burgers, fish & chicken beautifully. Even has a pour spout for excess grease (which drains away from the food, a big plus in the health department!).

With all the rain we've had, I haven't missed the outside grill at all. And it makes the best panini's, so you won't need another expensive thingy in your kitchen. Get your sandwich loaded up, put it onto this pan, and weigh it down with something (I use a bacon press, but you could use another heavy bottomed pan instead). Flip it once, and you'll end up with a wonderful crusty sandwich....evenly melted & amazing!

Tip: Preheat before using, but don't use this pan "dry". I pre-spray with Pam before heating, and spread butter or oil on the food I'm cooking.

This pan can go from oven top to broiler to oven.Great to sear meat. Smaller size for those who cook for 1-2 people. Easy to clean and good looking.

Paint and construction are of excellent quality. Because of the low sides and being thinner, it is light for a cast iron pan. But still rugged. I paired it with an Emerilware 8" square panini iron and the two fit perfect together.

UPDATE REVIEW: The interior of the pan has permanantly blackened after a few uses. Not like my old porcelin dutch oven that cleans up in a breeze.

I say 3 stars now.

Before using the grill I called Cuisinart to get their input on the best way to clean it. When I got through to Customer Service I was advised that they had no record of ever selling an enameled cast iron grill with the model number I provided?

I pointed out to them that I was looking at the Cuisinart website as we spoke, and the grill was listed on their website with a photo, model number, and price. I was advised they still could not find it either on their website, or in their computer. They provided me with another number to call that would be better able to address my questions.

When I called the number provided I was informed that they had referred me to a privately owned retail outlet, but that they would try to help me. I was finally advised that according to their records Cuisinart had never offer an enameled cast iron grill for sale?

As a last resort I sent an email to the Cuisinart Marketing Department that included the above info.

I was contacted the next day by two different people from Cuisinart who apoligized for the mix-up, and offered the following info concerning the care and cleaning of the grill:

"The interior isPorcelain enameled and it is dishwasher safe; as far as cleaning, it should be cleaned after every use and there is no need to oil it or season it.Food should clean easily because of the enameled surface unless it is so burned into the surface that it may take a lot of soaking to remove the residue".

So far I have used the grill four times, and it grills steaks and lamb chops just great. After each use I moved the grill off of the burner and added a little hot water to let it cool down and soak (I have a ceramic glass top electric range).

After the first soak I scrubbed the grill with a nylon kitchen brush with hot soapy water, then let it soak some more in hot water and dishwash soap.

After the next scrub the grill was pretty well cleaned. Then I ran it through my dishwashing machine and it came out very clean. It took a little extra effort to get it clean, but it was still a lot easier than cleaning my tabletop electric grill that has three large pieces to clean, and is a lot larger to work with in the sink.

I am very happy with the grill, and would buy it again if the one I have ever needed to be replaced (which I doubt will ever happen in my life time).

UPDATE:

OK, I have used this grill several times now, and am now having some issues with it. I set my ceramic glass top range at medium (5), and let it heat up for a few minutes before I start grilling. It seems that the more I use it, the harder it is to clean...even after overnight soaking in soapy water. Today I found that there is some blackened areas that just won't come clean. I tried Stove-top Easy Off, and that helped a little. The dish washing machine no longer gets it fully clean either. Also, today I noticed a small rust spot on the inside front side of the grill where it looks like some of the gray enameled chipped off? I only use a nylon brush to clean the grill, and tongs to put the meat in and take it out. So have no idea where that came from?

This 9-1/4" grill pan is fantastic. Not only does it fit well on your average cook top, it gets HOT (as it should) unlike other larger and heavier cast iron grill pans that need more BTU's than your average cook top can produce. Plus, it has an enameled finish available in different colors.

All-Clad MC2 Saute Pan

All-Clad Master Chef 2 3-Quart Saute PanWhen I saw the size of this pan, I wondered if it could possibly work well on a conventional-sized gas burner. Or would it just heat the center of the pan with the outer areas relatively cool? The clerk at the store assured me that it would heat evenly because it has an inner core of pure aluminum besides the exterior of brushed aluminum to help it conduct heat all the way up the sides, too. I took a chance and purchased this pan. It is great!I cooked one of my favorite recipes--chicken marsala--in it and it performed flawlessly. The bottom of the pan heats evenly with no hot or cold spots. It is heavy enough that you can use high heat with no fear of the pan warping. You can cook at low temperatures and feel confident that the pure aluminum core will spread that gentle heat evenly all across the bottom and up the sides of the pan. It browns beautifully and the mirror-smooth stainless interior is easy to clean. The lid fits snugly and keeps those precious juices in your food.

For those who have never tried one of All-Clad's fine pans, here are a few tips. To prevent meats from sticking be sure to preheat the pan properly for at least a few minutes and do this on the same heat setting that you intend to use while browning your meat. Add the cooking oil (not a cooking spray) after the pan has heated. Use an oil that has a high smoking point like vegetable oil, peanut oil, or even light olive oil. Extra Virgin olive oil has too low a smoking point to be used for pan searing meats. Don't put cold meat in a hot pan for searing or it will stick. Let the meat sit out at room temperature for 20 to 30 minutes before you begin to sear it. Pat it dry with paper towels to be sure it is not wet (that causes sticking, too). The pan should be hot enough that you hear a nice, loud sizzle when the meat is placed into the hot oil. Leave some space around individual pieces of meat to allow moisture to evaporate. If you crowd the pan, your meat will stew, not brown, and it will be tough. Don't poke or move the meat around once you have put it into the pan or it will not properly sear. Right after you place the meat in the pan, you may notice that it is sticking to the bottom of the pan. Don't panic! That is how the meat surface becomes properly carmelized (browned). The meat will tell you when it is properly seared because it will "release" from the bottom of the pan and can be easly moved and turned over. Repeat this searing process on the other side.

DEGLAZE! This is an important next step: remove the browned meat from your pan, pour off any excess oil that is left in the bottom. If you see a hardened brown crust on your beautiful pan, no worry. Just deglaze the pan by adding some wine, stock, even plain water, and stirring over medium heat to loosen those crusty patches. This process only takes a couple of minutes. Keep stirring to loosen anything that is stuck on the bottom of the pan, then you can add extra ingredients, return your meat to the pan, cover with the snug-fitting lid and braise or simmer to delightful tenderness.

With its all-metal construction, this pan is oven ready and can go right from stove top into the oven to finish your cooking. They are virtually indestructable, too, with a lifetime guarantee from All-Clad. They may be pricey but you can count on them as a lifetime investment and can even pass them on to your kids. You won't believe what a difference real quality cookware will be until you try it for yourself.

When it's time to wash the pan, hot sudsy water and a little Barkeeper's Friend scouring powder will restore the pan to like-new brilliance.

The only down side to this pan is that its slim handles make it difficult to manipulate. And you will need a pot holder or oven mitt to protect your hands from the "helper handle" (which does get hot) and the handle on the lid. The long, stay-cool handle will be just fine for stove-top use unless you put the pan in the oven.

Of the top 5 pans that no kitchen should be with out, the ALL-Clad MC2 saute pan is tied for number one in my book. Not only does the Master Chef 2 line cook better then ALL-Clad's "bread and butter" stainless line, it's also less expensive. Sauteing, shallow frying, poaching, steaming, you name it this pan can do it. I'm not a big fan of buying cookware sets, and that's why i purchased this pan seperately and paid the price, but its worth every penny. Cooking in this saute pan produces an incredible "fond" (little bits of food particles), that when deglazed, produce an extraordinary pan sauce. This is something I would NEVER want to cook without. In fact, I plan on willing it to my children so they can have the same enjoyment that I have had.

This pan is great! I use it on an almost daily basis for sauces, stir fry, and the like. High sides keep the sauce in the pan and off the stovetop. Cleans easily. This pan and the 6 quart saute pan are the two pans I use the most.

Most amateur cooks are either unaware of or ignore the true French saute pan, of which this is a superb exemplar. The very best thing about this shape, with accompanying lid, is that it can work as either a saute or as a brazing pan, since it has all the best features to braize (low sides and lid).

I recently got this to replace my old Calphalon anodized aluminum pots, as I ultimately felt these did not work as well on electric stoves as they did on gas. Among other things, they actually tended to warp a bit. I'm expecting this stainless steel clad construction will satisfy me for far longer than the old black aluminum.

I've used this bad boy several times since I've gotten it and it has worked like a champ. I expect to use it almost as often as the workhorse 6 quart stock pot.

This is a really wonderful pan to cook with...I never realized what a difference a well-made pan could make.It is heavy duty, heats evenly, cleans up nice and easily goes from stovetop to oven. A cook's dream!Not having any experience with high-end cookware, the deciding factor for me was that it was supposed to be American-made in my home state of PA.Too bad when it arrived and the lid was wrapped separately with a MADE IN CHINA label inside the bag.It sure is hard to buy American and support the US economy...even when you try your best to do so!

Hamilton Beach 94302 Signature 10 Inch Skillet, Stainless Steel

Hamilton Beach 94302 Signature 10 Inch Skillet, Stainless SteelWe decided to switch from non-stick cookware to stainless steel because we didn't like using toxic non-stick coating. Additionally, our child was diagnosed with gluten sensitivities and stainless cookware is easier to clean (scratches in coating on other cookware can hide food particles). If you are not accustomed to using stainless cookware, you need to do some research! For starters, ONLY use medium to medium-high heat (never high heat). On my glass top stovetop, my gauge reads 1 through 10, and I typically use 4, 5, or 6 when cooking with stainless.

* This pan heats evenly and food cooks fast.

* Easy to elean.

* The glass lid from Hamilton Beach's 5-qt. Stainless Steel Dutch Oven fits this pan perfectly (I bought them together in a store).

* I always use metal utensils with my stainless pots & pans. No scratches.

* Bottom of this pan reads dishwasher, gas, and electric safe.

* Made for Hamilton Beach by Kitchen Collection. Made in China.

* I love the flared edge (curved) so I can pour a meal out onto plates or serving dish easily.

* Comfortable handle doesn't get hot.

Very nicely made pan, but unfortunately not enameled as described. I bought this solely for use on my glass top stove, but it is all raw cast iron and will scratch! Only good for electric coil top, or gas stove tops.

Berndes Tradition 11 inch Saute Pan

Berndes Tradition 11 inch Saute PanThis has become my favorite pan. I use it for everything. I use it for making eggs, cooking pancakes, browning meats, stir-fry everything. It is the perfect size for one-skillet meals. The lid fits perfectly and makes it much more versatile. It is heavy enough that it cooks everything evenly. I have not been particularly careful with it, and so far I have not scratched the non-stick surface. I have used it at least onece almost every day for over a year. I do not wash it in the dishwasher, but it cleans up easily and beautifully when washing by hand.

Brylanehome Non-Stick Pfoa-Free Electric Skillet

Brylanehome Non-Stick Pfoa-Free Electric SkilletThis is a great size for a family of 2.Cooks evenly.I love the color and the glass lid.

Very attractive for a utilitarian cooking utensil.It heats more evenly than my previous skillet, but still did have a little unevenness in its cooking surface temperature.

Cuisinart Professional Tri-Ply Stainless Steel Cookware (12 Piece Set)

Cuisinart Professional Tri-Ply Stainless Steel CookwareBought this very same set from Costco a few months ago.They sold out quickly and no longer sell it.I felt I had hit the jackpot because it was something like $179!It was an impulse buy since I had been looking at higher end cookware ($500 or more) and had decided it wasn't in the budget at that time.Did a few quick searches on my smartphone before buying.Reviews on a similar Cuisinart multiclad set were stellar.One of the reviews said this set was only slightly different than the other.I could tell from the demo pieces in the store that it was very good quality.They are solid and look to be very well made -with the possible exception of the basket part of the steamer insert...it is a bit thinner than others I have seen, but seems that it will hold up well if you don't do something impulsive like sit or stand on it.

And it IS very good quality for the price.Even with the power gas burner, I find that it can take a while to bring a boil compared to the regular pots we had before.Cuisinart instructs you not to use these pieces on high heat because the superior heat conduction will cause food to be prone to burn easily and therefore may be hard to clean.I have not had that issue at all.We find ourselves using high heat to achieve a boil or browning, and then turning down the heat to low or medium and using the lid and that works quite well.

Cleans up easily. I used the steamer insert on the stockpot to corral all of the debris used to make chicken stock, and it served the purpose very well.Nothing stuck or burned at the bottom of the pot despite cooking the stock for 2 days (boiling/simmering at various times). I initially overfilled the pot so there were spillovers between the pot and steamer insert early on that I didn't bother to clean until the stock was finished today (with the insert I was able to make 4 quarts -and could have made 5 or 6 without the insert).The residue was was baked-on and dark brown so I expected it to be hard to clean.Just wiped right off with a nylon abrasive sponge.

We fried some sausage links in the covered 4 QT saute pan.The residue was a bit baked on but that washed right off with a sponge in hot soapy water.

I like the glass lids.They are attractive, and being able to look in without opening the lid is nice, though with any condensation you will have to lift the lid anyway to really see what's going on.Other reviewers have noted you have to be extra careful with glass lids because they can shatter if dropped, so I try to be sure to put them only in safe places on the counter.

I'm a big fan of tri-ply now and will never buy anything else.We've had multiclad bottoms only and they don't compare to fully tri-ply.I can't give a long-term report on this cookware, but so far we have really liked it.I have never had All-Clad or anything else high-end so I really can't compare.One of the reviews I had seen on Amazon before purchasing this set said that it is in the same league in terms of how it cooks.

A few notes from the box:

* all-range capable (if I remember correctly from the brochure it is oven-safe but not sure about the lids)

* stay-cool handles...

* dishwasher safe (we hand-wash to preserve the finish)

* tapered rims for drip-free pouring

An aside:you can occasionally find single pieces of Calphalon tri-ply on deep discount at Macy's -less than half price if you avail yourself of the discounts and coupons.That's one way to add to your tri-ply collection.Calphalon appears to be a notch higher than this set -though I would wager it cooks the same.The workmanship/styling on Calphalon just looks better.I'm on the hunt for tri-ply pieces at an affordable price now! Mix 'n match is fine with me as long as the quality and price are there!

Hope this helps.Get a set if you can!Even at $200-300, knowing what I know now, I would definitely purchase this set even at those prices, because I have never seen a tri-ply set even close to being in that price range.If you do, snap it up!

Very sturdy pots and pans. No issues with them at all. For sure would recommend to others if asked about.

Kirkland Signature Hard Anodized Aluminum Roasting Pan Includes Rack

Kirkland Signature Hard Anodized Aluminum Roasting Pan Includes RackI like it. A little bit thinner metal than I was expecting but I roasted a 10lb beef roast and it worked great. The rack works very well and it all cleaned up easily.

Rachael Ray Hard Anodized II Nonstick Dishwasher Safe 12-1/2-Inch Divided Skillet, Orange

Rachael Ray Hard Anodized II Nonstick Dishwasher Safe 12-1/2-Inch Divided Skillet, OrangeI bought this for my girlfriend who lives me for as a surprise because she "wished they made divided frying pans"So I thought, 'Hey, maybe they do.'I have never seen someone so excited over a frying pan, and after using it a dozen times she says it is easily the best frying pan she has ever seen.The non-stick coating is strong and effective and more durable than typical teflon pans.Four thumbs up.

This divided skillet is very handy especially for eggs, bacon, sausage, or anything you are cooking that needs to be kept seperate.It heats evenly, cleans easily

de Buyer Steel Frying Pan, Made of Heavy Quality Steel

de Buyer Steel Frying Pan, Made of Heavy Quality Steel - 20cmSpecs for 24 cm/9.5 in. pan:

* 9 3/8" outer diameter

* 9 1/4" inner diameter

* 6 3/4" flat bottom cooking diameter

* 1 1/2" depth

* 3/32" (~2.38 mm) thickness of steel

* 3.0 lbs. weight

The back of the minimal packaging states:

"IRON FRYING PAN * without coating * PFOA and PTFE free guaranteed * No chemicals added Environment safe protection * Ecological, recyclable, adn good for the environment * HEALTH: Iron molecules from the pan contribute to good health * Allows for high heat which seals quickly keeping vitamins and nutrients in food * COOKING QUALITIES: High temperature = perfect for SEALING, BROWNING and GRILLING * SEASONING: the more the pan is used, the better the performance * The darker it becomes the better it is for natural nonstick properties * "

The first thing I noticed was the handle had some sort of speckled coating/paint on it. The only de Buyer pan I've seen in person had a handle that was bare steel, just like the pan itself. Time will tell if the finish holds up well.

The small pamphlet did not include the "boil potato peelings" seasoning tip. The included instructions said to add 1 mm of oil and heat until smoke appears. My sister-in-law, who recommended de Buyer, had success with the potato peel method, so that is what I chose to do.

I've only used the pan a few times. It has worked almost as well as a teflon fry pan, with only a little sticking. Cleaning was very easy with hot water and a stiff brush; easier than modern (rough) cast iron. Perfect size for an omelette.

This is my first product review, so I'm witholding a 5 star rating only to see how this pan will hold up over time. I'm not sure there's really anything that could be done to improve a fry pan. I would only note that 3 lbs. may be heavy for some folks. I personally like it because it's very stable on the stove.

I can't add photos to this review, so I'll try to add it to the product description.
