Calphalon Easy System Nonstick 8" Omelette Pan

Calphalon Easy System Nonstick 8' Omelette PanI have a set of Calphalon and love them. Unfortunately after more than 11 years my small omelette pan was worn out and needed replacing. The 8'' Easy System pan was perfect.

Admittedly, my expectations were low, based on the performance of other cookware, and the mixed reviews of this item. However, I found the pan to be excellent. It does indeed work without any need for added fats.It cooks evenly.I can use a lower heat and get good results. It cleans easily-a little soap, a rinse, a wipe and it is ready to use again.I suspect those reviewers who reported difficulties with the pan after usage were putting it in the dish washer. No need for a dishwasher-it resists becoming soiled-and evidently the dishwasher CAN damage it.

I am very happy with this pan.I will likely buy more Calphalon cookware.

I purchased this pan to replace an older different brand of nonstick pan.I use calphalon pots and pans and they

cook evenly and safely. I highly recommend this nonstick pan.

I have written a similar review for the 1.5 qt Easy System Saucepan, and like that one, this pan is also tippy. It's center of gravity is weighted toward the handle, and can be very dangerous. If you press the handle to the counter, it is very slow to right itself. If you also have a gas cooktop, the openness of the burner grate increases the likelihood it will tip over and potentially burn you.

Calphalon usually makes good quality, but not this time.

Please stay away from this one, at least until they redesign it.

This pan is the perfect size for one person: omelettes, small steak, etc.Absolutely nothing sticks to the interior.Cool handle grip is nice too.

Johnson-Rose French Style Steel Fry Pan, 10-3/4 Inch x 1-5/8 Inch

Johnson-Rose French Style Steel Fry Pan, 10-3/4 Inch x 1-5/8 InchThese warp on high heat and put out noxious fumes.Absolute junk.Spend a few dollars more and buy Vollrath, which are french style, carbon steel, and are exceptonally good.

The pan is light weight, but the these light weight pans are more than adequate for my cooking style.First the pan is cleaned with soap and water. Next I boiled some potatoes peels in the pan for about 15 to 20 minutes to get clean the pan of the shipping coating. The pan is then rinsed with water and wipe dry with a clean cloth or paper towel.Next using some high smoke point oil like coconut oil to coat the entire pan.Put the pan in 400 F heated oven for about 20 minutes.Wipe the pan down with paper towels while hot, be sure to use a pot holder to hold the pan to avoid burning yourself. The pan is now really for cooking duties.

My first use with the pan was to pan fry a couple fish fillets. The fillets were seasoned with olive oil.I sat the gas stove burner on medium and put the new pan on to the burner without adding any oil onto the pan. After fifteen seconds or so and noticing the pan was becoming hot, I added a spoon of olive oil to the pan and I move the pan while still over the flame to have the one spoon oil spread out over the pan.I then transferred the fillets to the hot pan.The fillets were red snapper, not too large for the pan. After 3 minutes, I turned the fillets over and the fillets were easy to turn over on the pan, just like a nonstick pan would allow you turn over. And another three minutes, I transfer the fillets to a serving plate. The fillets looks professionally cooked as fillets were brown just perfect and the fillets were not broken into pieces. They were beautifully browned and in one piece. For cleaning of the pan, I poured about an inch of water in the pan while the pan is still very hot. I let the water remain in the pan until I finished my meal.I then just used a plastic scrubber to clean the pan. After cleaning and rinsing the pan clean, I wipe down the pan to dry the pan. To store the pan for my next cooking session, I put the pan on the stove burner on high heat for about ten seconds to ensure the pan is dry to prevent rust on the pan.

Since the pan is only about 2 lbs vs a heavy pan weighting over 4 lbs, do not over heat the pan by using a high flame to it.It is not necessary to use a high flame to cook your foods, a medium flame or heat setting is just fine. When I do pancakes on the pan, I use a low heat on the pan as I like my pancake to golden brown, not burned brown. The light weight pans are a good value just go easy with the heat. And you save on gas or electric using these pans.

By the way, in my cooking experiences with these pans due to lower heat setting that I use, the handle of the pan do not get so hot that I can not hold the pan handle.

Old Mountain Pre Seasoned 10119 Two Burner Reversible Grill / Griddle, 20 Inch

Old Mountain Pre Seasoned 10119 Two Burner Reversible Grill / Griddle, 20 InchI didn't dislike this unit. It's advertised as being 20" in length. However, the cooking surface is only about 16" X 7", which is much smaller than I wanted. I returned the item and got a Lodge Logic double-burner griddle/grill. It wasn't because I disliked this unit though. It was simply because I wanted a larger piece of cookware. I would still recommend the product for people who aren't looking to cook huge quantities at once. If you want to make pancakes, which I love to make, you can easily make two at a time. You can also cook about 3 medium-sized hamburger patties or 2 smal steaks at once.

I bought one of these as a gift for my mom. She loves it. She was overjoyed that it came pre-seasoned. (She's old school and all of her past cast iron she had to season) Her one complaint is that the grease trap lip is alittle too shallow. Not a problem, can just be messy. All-in-all a great product.

Great grill and the quality of the manufacturing is good versus most of the other in the market. Pre Seasoned bit is a questionable since it had a little rust when I got it, but once I conditioned and cleaned thoroughly it has been great.

If you like kitchen products designed by someone who obviously has never cooked, then, this griddle is for you. Do you want to make french toast? You can only make 4 at a time using standard-sized bread. If the grease trap was part of the usable cooking surface, you could make 8 at a time. Do you want to oil or butter the surface for cooking? Too bad. If the griddle isn't perfectly level, your butter will be lost in the trough on the edge. Granted, it cooks very well, but, all cast iron should do likewise. It's simply too narrow if you're cooking for more than one person, and very wasteful to see your butter/oil become hopelessly lost to the non-cooking surface. The trough makes this a waste of time and money.

T-fal A8070962 Specialty Nonstick Dishwasher Safe 13.5-Inch Giant Family Fry Pan / Saute Pan Cookwa

T-fal A8070962 Specialty Nonstick Dishwasher Safe 13.5-Inch Giant Family Fry Pan / Saute Pan Cookware, BlackSeriously, these are the best LARGE non-stick pans. The red dot lets you know when it is hot enough to cook. Remember, overheating makes any non-stick pan lose the non-stick quality, use the dot! The extra handle is needed because these are family size, but with it they are easy to lift. I just bought three more, the one I found in my local store three years ago finally got overheated (my wife) cooking sausages. Why three? I am afraid they will stop making them in a couple of years when I ruin the next one.

My family haqs been using Tfal for over 30 yrs, my got my mother one for mothersday in Germany back then. I love this one, just wish I could find a lid, so that I could do ALL my cooking in it. Truly non stick, makes perfect eggs pancakes steaks etc

A decent nonstick pan. Been using it for about 5 months and have a couple of tiny marks where the coating flaked off after I way over-heated the pans, other than that it has worked great.

The size of the pan is absolutely awesome for stir fry and/or cooking large quantities. 13.5" gives you roughly double the square area as 10-inch pan (143 square inches vs. 78). The pan and handles have are also solid and have been very durable.

Emeril by All-Clad E9208264 Hard Anodized Nonstick 5-Quart Saute Pan with Lid Cookware, BlackWas a good pan; liked it a lot. BUT had the pan for about 2 months before noticing that it had warped; middle is now higher than the sides; oil now pools around the rim of the pan, making frying difficult.Called All-Clad (they are in charge of Emerilware), who gave me a Return Authorization number. Will return for exchange, but I'm not optimistic; as the pan is lightweight, it will likely warp again.

As with all things in life you get what you pay for.I think that I will ultimately spring for the All-Clad Stainless 6 qt. Nonstick Saute Pan with Lid; it's almost $300.00 (!!!), but like my other 2 All-Clads, I spend the money once and have a great pan for the rest of my life.

I really like the pan.I had read a review before purchasing about the pan raising up in the middle which it does, but doesn't seem to be a problem cooking. It is a lot heavier than I thought it would be so makes it hard to wash, but all in all, it's a pretty good pan.

American 11.75" Grill Pan

American 11.75' Grill PanI love Staub and LeCreuset.I chose the Staub grill pan over the other because it was a tad bigger in size.It is GREAT for grilling meats to get those nice sear marks. You can use it inside the oven for a braise.Staub is well made and will last forever. It can be a little tough to clean up sometimes but I just allow it to soak in a little warm water and use a non-scratch pad for touch areas.

I would like to add that for practicality purposes -I must confess that I really haven't used this pan as much as I thought I would after owning if for approx 9 months.I find myself reaching for the cast iron skillet to sear meats in order to sear all of it -and popping in the oven to finish off if needed. If I want grill marks, I'll use the gas grill outside. This is just a personal preference and is by no means meant to dishonor the fine quality product that the Staub grill pan is. I would have bought a cast iron Staub skillet if I didn't already have a similar product.

Staub makes top quality skillets and grill pans and you can't go wrong with them.Yes, they are expensive so make sure you will use them!!

great pan, but wow is it heavy.you have to be careful not to damage your sink given the weight

Calphalon 32-Inch Straight Wall Pot Rack with 4 Heavy-Duty Single Hooks

Calphalon 32-Inch Straight Wall Pot Rack with 4 Heavy-Duty Single HooksI have five of them. They are exceptionally sturdy and they are designed so that the hooks don't come off when removing a pan. I have had hanging racks in the past that become unbalanced when more than one pan is removed. Although the bolt holes match the distance between the wall studs, I have mounted them on strips of oak. The pans hang away from the wall and hold a lot of very heavy duty pans with no signs of strain.

This redesigned Calphalon 32-Inch Straight Wall Rack is a great accessory that adds functionality and style to a kitchen. The length is perfect for mounting by screws onto two wall studs, which are usually found 16 inches apart. I like to use this straight wall rack for hanging Calphalon stainless steel utensils, small Calphalon Commercial Hard Anodized Omelet pans, Sauté pans, Chef Pans, Saucepans, or the Butterwarmer. The stainless cool-v handle on the Commercial line matches the handles on the stainless utensils. The rack comes with 4 single hooks. I don't use any double hooks on this rack because I find it too small for that. I use 6 single hooks about 4 inches apart if I am hanging utensils.

I ordered this item because it perfectly fit the 32-inch wall space above my stove. When I received the rack, it actually measured 32.5 inches -31 inches of bar and 1.5 inches for the mounting. It works great, but I had to rearrange the other walls of my kitchen to hang the rack in another, less convenient spot.

Fitz-All Pot & Pan Cover

Fitz-All Pot & Pan CoverHave a number of odd-ball or miscellaneous pots and pots? You want a lid for it, but it either never came with one or you have lost it. Your savior is at hand. I have been using mine for years, and is pretty beat-up and abused. The fit is kinda awkward for smaller pans, the fit is usually rather loose, plus it will not fit 12 inch skillets. Still, I love mine and would never give it up.

You might want to consider another brand that will cover a 12 inch pan.

I ordered two, and both came pre-dented. LOLAnyway, the lid is aluminum, so I expected it to be on the flimsy side.Although I think $5 would be a better price than the price I paid for.In any case, it gets the job done.I have a couple of 8" pan and a few 6" pots, and this lid works nicely with all of them. They're surprisingly easy to clean too; different than the aluminum I'm familiar with.

Sad that a made in USA item is so flimsy. Was delivered with minor dents and discolored when used to cover a frying pan containing sliced potatoes.Prior review that mentions not good for covering 12" pans is misleading. It barely covers a 10 1/4 (#8) Griswold CI frying pan.

It does work but is smaller that the description indicates. Quite flimsy-don't sneeze within 6 feet of it or it will likely dent. Apparently made in USA so its conclusive proof China doesn't have a monopoly of tinny rubbish.

This is a must-have for users of many skillets that lack lids (or for those who do not want to clutter up the kitchen with tons of glass lids).I agree with the reviewer who said it is flimsy (which is why I gave it four stars instead of five); mine had a teeny, tiny dent in it, but really no biggie. Not as good quality as the old one I have, but useful nonetheless, as I need one for home and one for the camper.

Sitram Profiserie 9.5-Inch Commercial Stainless Steel Fry Pan

Sitram Profiserie 9.5-Inch Commercial Stainless Steel Fry PanI've been using Sitram for several years, and I've never had any problems. The stuff is built for the food industry no frills and no fancy packaging, but it will stand up to use and abuse.

The company changed hands a couple of years ago, and for a little while during the transition their customer service was suffering. Don't let that detract you from buying this cookware.

(My only beef is that they've discontinued the Magnum Pro line, which was the only copper-based line that also worked on induction. Dear Sitram/Freiling folks please, oh please bring it back).

As a part-time chef I own and use lots of so called "professional" cookware.

The nice thing about Sitram specifically is the fact that most of their better lines do not have rivets.

Not having rivets through the cooking surface qualifies this cookware to be NSF certified. Old, dirty food

particles get caught up in the crevice around the rivet. This crud is unclean, and very difficult to really ever get out of the pan.

So next time you eat out hopefully your restaurants kitchen is using rivetless cookware! Sitram is the worlds largest commercial stainless cookware company for a reason. All stainless cookware has coloring after being used, especially on a gas stove. This is very normal. The main difference in the Profisserie line and more upgraded line is that the the base model has a stainless subbase under the stainless surface versus a copper base. As I stated at the beginning I own lots of cookware including quite a bit of AllClad, some very old US made Calphalon, and even a few French made Cuisinart pieces. Of all of these, I personally prefer to use my Sitram when possible.

Buy Sitram Profiserie 9.5-Inch Commercial Stainless Steel Fry Pan Now

This thing is solid. The copper bottom is definitely as important as the product description is trying to convince you. The shape is great for jumping the items in the pan when sauteeing, and I love to use it for pan roasting. So easy to clean, essentially impossible to scorch. Solid. Buy the saucier too.

Scanpan CTX Cookware Set, Silver, 5-Piece

Scanpan CTX Cookware Set, Silver, 5-PieceI purchased a set of these pans about 2 years ago. My husband can't even screw them up!! I've had at least 6 different brands of pans, some quite pricey. None compare (even remotely) to these. I have to admit that they were set aside until my older pans died. Now that I've used them for a while, I wish I had just given my older pans away. I'm in the process of purchasing more of these pans. To the writer that said the pans stained yellow: did you try Soft Scrub? Soft scrub cleans up my stainless stove beautifully, as well as my sink.

Ok, somewhat of a sceptic after hours of research, I bit the bullet and purchased this set. That was a few weeks ago.Today, I have discarded everything BUT these ScanPans. It cuts down on oil/butter, and is truly the best set (including Calophen) I have ever owned. It heats UP the sides, thus giving you a truer browning, cooking temperature and result.I do hand wash them, and keep them in their velvet pouch they get shipped in.These things are absolutely amazing you will NOT be disappointed at all.I really can't say enough about them, without repeating myself.Read all the reviews you want...watch video's to your hearts content...end of the day, these are helping me cut down on calories, as I just don't need the same amount of oil/butter to cook with. They really are that good.

I have a new kitchen aid induction cooktop and these pans work great. There is no rattling like I've heard about with other pans and the nonstick coating works well. I did notice a very slight discoloration on the bottom as other reviewers noted but it doesn't bother me. I'm sure if I took the initiative to scrub it it would come off but I never look at the bottom of the pan so I don't really mind.

Cuisinart 726-38H Chef's Classic Stainless 14-Inch Stir-Fry Pan with Helper Handle and Glass Cover

Cuisinart 726-38H Chef's Classic Stainless 14-Inch Stir-Fry Pan with Helper Handle and Glass CoverI have been looking for a stainless wok for sometime.I did not want a non stick finish as when heated too hot they produce fumes that can be toxic to pet birds.

I purchased this Cusinart Stainless 14 inch stir fry.It is a great pan.It is good looking, large so you can cook a lot of food in it.It is extremely easy to clean. It comes with a nice glass lid.It is also light weight.I own the set of Cuisnart Stainless Cookware that I bought last year on Amazon.I am very happy with the set. This wok pan is an excellent value, you simply will not find a good quality wok at this price.Buy It!!

I am aware that there is another review saying the same thing has happened, dated 2009. We bought this pan and really love it, and use it nearly daily for soups and curries, etc. We've had it for some months and have used it with the lid on, quite often. The other day, we had a chana masala dish simmering (medium-low) with the lid on, and the whole lid shattered. It sounded like a shotgun going off, or like a small transformer blowing. There was no glass in the food in fact, it may be a corning-type glass designed to take heat and to break with rounded edges, like windshields.

I have contacted Cuisinart and was told that we would have to pay shipping and handling. I find this outrageous and unnacceptable, and am pursuing the issue further.

What I want to hear is that Cuisinart is aware of the situation and concerned about possible user endangerment. Perhaps this is a rare event; perhaps the fact that there's no vent led to this situation. Maybe there's a flaw in the glass. Whatever the reason, it's been reported twice on Amazon, so leads me to believe that not only could it happen to others, it probably has done so. I do not know whether the previous reviewer told the company, but I would hate to think that two years (at least) have passed with no change to the design of this pot, if Cuisinart did know of the problem.

Cuisinart customer service was prompt and polite, so I have no complaints about that.

I've been using woks made of cast iron, aluminums, Teflon-coated materials etc.Learned about some of those materials can react with food and formulate chemical reactions, or the synthetic coating can break down sooner or later. Realized while the family was happily gobbling the foods down, also took along those chemical elements into our bodies. Then I found Cuisinart 14" stainless steel wok when I shopped around for an idea wok. I've had this wok for over a month now. I'm practically impressed. It transfers heat very well, gives adequate heat to do crisp stir fry vegetable dishes. The 14" diameter gives plenty of space to cook for 4 people. I especially like how easy it is to clean. I can scrub it as hard as I want to with soapy water, and don't worry about take the synthetic coat off or the wok will become rusty later on.

West Bend 72212 Electric Extra-Deep Square 12-Inch Nonstick Skillet

West Bend 72212 Electric Extra-Deep Square 12-Inch Nonstick SkilletI have owned this for about two weeks and have used it almost everyday. Not only can you use it as you would any other skillet -I have used it to make baked potatoes; "baked" frozen entrees, and have found recipes for cakes, coffee cakes and even pizza. Can't wait to try all these new ideas. The kitchen doesn't get heated up in the summer, thus keeping the air conditioning from working hard. Some things take a little experimenting, but it all seems to work out in the end.Frozen products need to be watched the first time to make sure they are totally cooked. My only suggestion to West Bend would be to offer a grid to fit in the skillet.Great product -great price!!

I bought this skillet because of the size (not too big for just two of us), the high walls, and the glass cover. The two positive reviews influenced my decision, though I did notice that the larger version of this same skillet had more negative reviews.

I'm calling Amazon today and returning the skillet. The primary purpose was for frying, however, the temperature doesn't get hot enough of stay hot enough to fry.The temperature dial goes up to 400.I wanted to make donuts, which call for a temperature of 375 degrees. When the light when off I put the donuts in, fried them golden brown, drained them, and taste tested them. They tasted like oil. From the instructions on the donut mix I found out that tasting like oil meant the oil wasn't hot enough, and therefore the crust on the donut wasn't formed quickly, and the donut gets oil soggy.I got out my handy candy thermometer and took the temperature of the oil. It was not hot enough, so I turned the dial to 400, hoping it would reach 375.The light came on and the oil heated up to 360, and the light went out.In another minute the light came on and the oil went up to 364, and the light went out. This cycle repeated, and the oil reached a high temperature of 369, but then dropped down to 361.That was as hot as I could get it.I verified the temp readings with a digital thermometer, still below 370 when set at 400 (the max). Can't fry donuts, so going back.

I wish I'd spent the time to go foraging. This is NOTHING like the 40-year-old electric skillet my mom used while we were growing up.

Con: The skillet has the poorest heat distribution I have EVER seen.Any food sitting directly on the heating element will cook much faster than food elsewhere in the skillet.Hence, it will stick and burn. (That was NEVER the case with my mom's old steel skillet.) I tried scrambling eggs in this skillet and before the eggs away from the heating coil could even begin cooking, the ones on the heating coil were turning brown.Same thing went for pancakes and potato cakes.I even tried hamburger helper in this skillet only to have to babysit it to constantly stir it to keep it from sticking.

Con: The simmer setting is a joke.Again, food sticks where the heating coil is.

Pro: Incredibly easy to clean.

Pro: Nice lid, decent construction. The skillet itself is lightweight, but doesn't feel flimsy.

Would I buy it again? No.I'll use it for light duty until it dies.I know it won't last 40 years, that's for sure. And I know with the poor heat distribution that cooking the pot roast my mom always made in her electric skillet is out of the question.

Overall grade: DI would not recommend this.

I find this skillet to be somewhat disappointing in that it is difficult to control the temperature evenly. Also, the depth of the skillet is a little inconvenient and unnecessary for most dishes.

I would not buy this again.

When trying to find a frypan on Amazon, the 12-inch by 12-inch selection was VERY limited.Unfortunately, I chose the West Bend 72212.What a disappointment!

The FIRST thing I noticed was that when the oil was poured into the frypan . . . it ran down into a pool in the center of the frypan instead of spreading evenly across the bottom.

The SECOND thing that happened, after only four uses, was that the frypan woggled and I discovered that one of the inserted rubber feet had fallen out . . . never to be found ANYWHERE!

The THIRD and final strike concerns the temperature control.Whomever designed the control should lose their job. For example:the temperature numbers are all in a row 300 350 400 around the perimeter, with NO slashes between them. You had to GUESS where you were in a specific 50 degree range.MOST controls have a slash between numbers to separate them and to denote the temperature range, or to indicate the mid-ranges of 325, or 375 degrees.

Then there was deciding exactly where you actually were on the control. It was a mad guess because the indicator light is ROUND and not 'arrow' shaped with a point to determine the relationship to the numbers on the dial.

The control was so wonkie that no matter WHAT temperature you selected it turned off for no reason, so you had to constantly raise the temp to keep the food frying.Example:I finished frying the bacon and in order to cook the potatoes I had to keep increasing the temperature.I ended up turning it up to 400 degrees to finish browning them. After removing the potatoes, the light when out.THEN after dropping FIVE cold eggs into the frypan for scrambling, the light took FOREVER to re-light, indicating it was trying to get up to temperature. What the heck???

So . . . this frypan is going to the dump because it's not worth the effort to box it up, take it to the post office, pay the freight and to deal with the hassle of shipping it back, without all four rubber feet.I certainly couldn't, in good conscience, give it to someone else with its many problems.

If I could, I would give this frypan a MINUS 5 stars!

Cooks Standard Multi-Ply Clad Stainless-Steel 5-Quart 11-Inch Covered Deep Saute Pan

Cooks Standard Multi-Ply Clad Stainless-Steel 5-Quart 11-Inch Covered Deep Saute PanI was given this pan by mistake, along with a set of All-Clad pots and pans. Being the polite snob I am, I tried to be appreciative to the best of my ability. But after a month of using this side by side with the All-Clad, I keep wondering whether All-Clad is just pocketing the extra money, or whether it actually does cost twice as much to make things in the US as in China or perhaps that the Chinese are using slave labor, or worse, children, to produce such fine products at such low prices. I don't know. I do know this pan is in all ways equal to the All Clad Saute Pan. The only thing extra I get from the All-Clad is some status and that's important for someone with my lowly cooking skills. But so far the only people who've been impressed by my pots and pans are those who I've had to drag into the kitchen and force them to listen to the joys of stainless stain cooking. So if you're thinking of making the switch to stainless steel and don't want to start with a whole set, this is the perfect pan to start with: all the advantages of quality stainless steel at half the price!

Ok, first, this thing is HUGE!I used to have issues making those one pan meals in my 10" fry pan.TONS of room with this. AND if you heat the pan first, then add oil and your food, it won't stick!I also noticed that the sides do heat up as well, so you should turn the heat down a bit as your food tends to cook a bit quicker. It seems to really take advantage of my electric burner.I've been cooking at 4 instead of 5 (medium).I'm so happy with my purchase!

The box and the manufacturer's web site claim to be "America's Finest Cookware Brand". Unfortunately the pan sports a Chinese birth certificate on its bottom. This may account for my initial bad experience. I ordered this saute pan wanting to try a stainless clad instead of a non-stick. I grew up with copper clad Revereware and don't remember clean up being a big issue. This seemed like a very good candidate having good reviews and a very reasonable price. I received the pan in perfect condition, read the printed material provided, was mindful to pre-heat and not to over heat. After the first use, before attempting to clean, I noticed the pan wobbling on my smooth surface range. It warped after the first use. With the aid of Amazon's stellar customer service, I decided to try another one before resorting to a pricier alternative. The second one has been excellent! My theory is there may be consistency issues due to the Chinese heritage.

Just love this pan. I generally cook on non-stick, but I wanted a stainless pan for when I use cooking spray. This is a nice large one, very well-made and just gorgeous. I have used it a few times per week since getting it about a month ago, and it seems like it will last a long time, as it's still as good as new. I can't think of anything negative to say about this pan form my standpoint, particularly for the great price.

A few notes for others, however:

It is heavy, which should be expected with high quality stainless steel. This might make it hard to clean for those with little arm strength, but not a problem for me.

I hand wash my pots and pans, so do not know how it would handle in a dishwasher.

If you prefer a clear top, then look elsewhere. But for stainless, I think it makes sense to have a metal top as well.

Saute Pan is one of the best values in cookware that I've come across.I also just received a Le Crueset stainless steel saute pan for our new commercial kitchen and the pans are very comparable. The only draw back that I see so far is the lid is very loose fitting and would prefer it to be a little snugger.

Farberware Classic Stainless Steel 8-Inch and 10-Inch Skillet Twin Pack

Farberware Classic Stainless Steel 8-Inch and 10-Inch Skillet Twin PackGreat buy.I love Farberware.Just spray with non-stick and it comes pretty clean or use a little baking soda when cleaning it and you can get it clean out really well.I prefer these than non-stick since the non-stick coating wears off (into your food) eventually and that worries me.

The skillets are an incredible value for the price, and they look and feel really nice.In regards to cooking, they are easy to use and clean (I use baking soda for the stuck on messes). However within a few days of use, a metallic charcoal or dark gray colored fluid started seeping out onto the exterior from inside the rim each time the pans heated up.The fluid wipes off with a paper towel while it is still hot, but every time the skillets heat up, it leaks out again. When it cools down, the fluid solidifies, and I cannot wipe or clean it off with a soft sponge (don't want to scrub hard and scratch the stainless finish).I don't know what it is and if it will ever stop, but I decided to keep the pans anyways because I just need them for cooking and it does not interfere with that.

I prefer stainless steel to Teflon because of all those health concerns and these are just great for everyday cooking. No need to worry about scratching them. Very sturdy and good sizes! I only wish they came with top lids, which you need to buy separately. Very useful.

Anolon Advanced Hard Anodized Nonstick 10-Inch and 12-Inch Skillets Twin Pack

Anolon Advanced Hard Anodized Nonstick 10-Inch and 12-Inch Skillets Twin PackI went to Macy's and compared this twin pack to the sold separately 10 and 12 inch skillets; the skillets in the twin pack were much thinner and lighter.

This twin pack may be a good deal on its own, but know that you're getting light weight skillets.

The scam is that neither Anolon nor Amazon mentions the difference in design.

I have several Anolon Advanced pans and skillets and like them all very much. There is nothing 'wrong' with this set, but the pans are NOT as heavy as some of the other pans. I was initially disappointed by that since I really like the hefty feel of my other Anolon Advanced pans. That's why I'm giving it a "Almost Great" rating.I will say that the pans do seem to work just as well as the others I have. And the quality seems just as good. I DO wish, however, that it had been noted in the product write up that these pans are not the same thickness/weight as the others. So, if you are picky about things like that as I am, then this is your warning. If you don't care about weight or thickness, then I'd say you will love these pans. Again, the quality is there, the nonstick works great, and they are wonderful to work with. For those new to Anolon Advanced, be warned that you absolutely can NOT use high temps on any of the pans. Preheat your pans to a medium setting first and you'll have the best results. These pans DO hold temperature really well and will get very hot, even on a medium setting.Enjoy!

I've used Anolon Advanced for years and needed to replace 3 of my pans.I ordered them offline after reading the description which was described exactly as my original pans but alas, they're not.The 10" is almost 1/2 the weight of the original pan and I don't like the feel of the new non-stick pans.. it's very rough.I will return these and look to another line of cookware for the same weight pans that Anolon used to offer. What a shame, I loved my Anolon cookware!

I read the reviews of this skillet set and disregarded the naysayers. The pans that arrived at my house were lightweight (clearly not the Anolon quality of the past) and the nonstick coating was horrible.I purchased the set mainly for eggs and to fry various items without oil.The first day I tried scrambled eggs. They stuck to the pan worse than the skillets I had just thrown away. The second day I fried shrimp for a curry. No matter which way I turned the pan on the burner, one side got hotter than the other. These pans are going back and I'm on my way to Costco for a better/lower priced set.I don't return Amazon items very often, please believe me when I tell you that these pans are not worth the money.

I was delighted at the price of this item, as I had purchased the same brand years ago and had worked through the teflon on some of my saute pans. What arrived was not at all the same quality or heft of what I had before, even though the brand is exactly the same. This pan is still well made, but I don't get the same sense of confidence that it will heat evenly as I do with the older models of the same pan.
