Circulon Elite Hard Anodized Nonstick 10-Piece Cookware Set

Circulon Elite Hard Anodized Nonstick 10-Piece Cookware SetI recently bought a ceramic cooktop stove and none of my pans would work well because of the grooves in the bottom. These pans are PERFECT for anyone who has a ceramic/glass cooktop. The bottoms are flat, they cook evenly and cleanup...no matter how greasy/messy...is a breeze!

We purchased a 14 piece Circulon commercial set at Costco about five years ago. A couple of the sauce pans that get used daily are wearing out due to our abuse not the product. We felt it was time to replace the set. We examined many sets online and in the store. We loved our old Circulon set so that was top on our list. Two things that was a must was glass lids and heat proof handles which became our biggest challenge. The lids and handles is what solidified our choice to purchase Circulon a second time. This set is great, we are really happy with the choice. The set looks awesome, the cookware is solid and well balanced. It is thicker than our commercial set and I am sure will last us for many years too come.

The issue that almost killed our purchase is that the set does not include a 3 quart saucepan. The 3 quart saucepan is our most used and abused piece and for this set it is sold separate for $70. We temparararily solved this issue with a Circulon Total 3.5 quart sauce pot on sale for $29.99 at a local dept store and used a lid from our old set to replace the metal lid that came with it. Not a perfect match but solved our problem for now. and we saved $50. As long as Circulon offers heavy duty cookware at a good price with clear lids and heat proof handles we will probably stay loyal to the product.

Prologue: It has been two months with the set and it is awesome. We still have not picked up the 3 quart (Haven't found it on sale for the right price). But we did find the 12" deep skillet with lid for $39.95 & the 11" griddle for $29.95 at a local discount home store. The 12" deep skillet is actually a must (the 10" that comes with the set is just too small for everyday use). The skillet is designed so well that without the lid it is rounded enough inside to be a 12" skillet or wok substitute. So you will want some extra pieces but the set is worth it.

I first purchased the wok, loved it so much, I knew the set would be a worthwhile purchase.

The pots and pans are fantastic !

I have baked, covered and uncovered,at 400 degrees various recipes in these pots, and the food cooks and browns evenly, yet the food never burns or adhears to the surfaces, its absolutely remarkable, and these pans are a joy to clean, yes I said joy. Its so easy, I almost feel guilty.

The lids appear to be dishwasher safe,( I hand wash them) and although well designed for cooking, the channeled rims do require a little more focus durring cleaning.

I have a glass top range, and the bottoms of these pots are perfect and compatable.

I shopped for a better price, not to be found, typical amazon shopping experience... total satisfaction.

Buy these circulon ELITE, the most atractive and functional of the circulon line, culinary gratification guaranteed!

ONE YEAR update: still love my pans, still look and work like new! I do put the lids in the dishwasher. I have NEVER had issues with a pan tipping over, maybe the one reviewer should level his range top?

the current price is a STEAL, great wedding gift, or gift to self if you love cooking, but hate clean-up !

The picture of the Circulon Elite set includes the large frying pan with the handle, known as a "chicken fryer". This item is NOT included in the set. Although this is a good set of cookware, I bought it because it included the chicken fryer. I was really disappointed when I opened the box and the covered frying pan was a regular small pan. Now I still have to purchase the other frying pan at an additional cost. It would have been more cost-effective to purchase the set from Circulon's website at a higher price and get their double bonus with the purchase. Per piece it would have been less expensive.

Nordic Ware Superior Steel 12 Inch High-Sided Skillet

Nordic Ware Superior Steel 12 Inch High-Sided SkilletNordic Ware Cookware is the best cookware I've ever owned! Would definitely buy this product again and again! Highly recommend!

We ordered it from Amazon.com directly as having 1 or 3 unpleasant experiences with other vendors while buying some items. The skillet is ok for daily use. It produce nice and tasty food. I cooked Indonesian style seafood spicy fried rice, fried noodle, grand ma style pan fried batter coated chicken in it. It searing chicken breast nicely right before I put them in the oven. My only concern, it doesn't produce heat evenly so I have to watch any food situated in the middle. I tried all my gas stove burners but still the same. I don't think my stove is the problem as my other pans and pots from All-Clad and American Kitchen/Regalware we bought from Amazon.com turned out just fine. This is the reason why I gave you 3 stars.

It is OK daily use skillet for price and end result. I don't find any problem cleaning it but the bottom scratch easily with the kind of gas stove typically installed in Singapore. What I like the most from this pan as it is made in the USA. Yes, I'm in a mission avoiding items made in China. Not that I dislike China but their products most of the time produce odors/smelly, hardly long lasting and not meeting health standard.

April 2012 Updated = The pan already broken many months ago. The nonstick come of already. I won't buy this pan anymore. Yes, we prefer not to claim what so ever as we are sure pretty hassle. We wish American product has certain quality. Please, improve Nordic Ware as we love American product.

Woll Nowo Titanium 11-Inch Saute Pan with Detachable Handle and Lid

Woll Nowo Titanium 11-Inch Saute Pan with Detachable Handle and LidWell, I don't cook myself, but my wife, who does, can't stop singing praises to this pan, and considers it to be one of the best purchases she ever made. I know this is not much of a review, but I just found it wrong that there isn't a single one yet, and the product is clearly very good =)

This pan is just amazing. Definitely none-stick, easy to clean, and the most important of all, it helps to make perfect, professional-look pan fried dishes.

The detachable handle also make it easy to be stored and to be used in the oven. (For example, I sear the steak and then put it in the oven. I don't need to move the steak to another pan at all.)

The only shortcoming is the weight. Except that I would say it's a perfect pan that every home cooker should have.

I don't know how long this pan will continue to perform like it has so far, but right now it is amazing.I have had trouble getting my eggs to turn out right with other pans, but with this they were perfect, making me feel like I actually know what I'm doing in the kitchen.I have tried out a lot of things over the several weeks I have been using this pan and it's almost like I can't do anything wrong.I've even cooked whole meals in the one pan with meat to one side, potatoes on another and the rest in the remaining space. The lid really helps complete the cooking process.Cleanup is a snap.Although I usually wash it out with a little soap and water, I have tried just wiping it clean with a paper towel after cooking, and it wiped clean, at least to the eye.

I ordered the pan mainly so I could fry my sardines without any oil, and it worked like a charm. The thin skin got stuck to the pan, but the pan washed extremely easy with the sponge and soap. Good quality. Highly recommended.

KitchenAid Aluminum Nonstick 11-Inch Square Griddle, Red

KitchenAid Aluminum Nonstick 11-Inch Square Griddle, RedI bought this pan specifically for making pancakes.I had purchased a Nordic grill pan at Costco awhile ago, and had just started using it -it was a disaster. It heated unevenly, was very hard to clean, and the nonstick surface wore off if you looked at it sideways.

So after checking Amazon reviews, I decided to try this one.I am completely satisfied with this pan!I use it every week for pancakes, and they turn out perfectly -the pan heats evenly, the nonstick surface is pristine, and it's very easy to clean.I may well start using it for other purposes.

It is a little on the small side (I can only do 4 pancakes at a time), but that's inevitable; if the pan were any bigger, it wouldn't heat as evenly, and wouldn't cook as well.I don't consider that a defect -I consider that a necessary physical limitation of cooking on a non-commercial stove.

If I had to buy another grill pan, I'd buy this one again.

I purchased this pan from Unbeatable Sale through Amazon.com to replace a similar one which was wearing from the use of an "unfriendly" dishwasher detergent. I use it for breakfast sausage, bacon, hamburgers, french toast, grilled cheese sandwiches and other items. Both the previous and current pans are great. I changed dishwasher detergents also! I hope that helps preserve them.

General Electric 169216 Deep 12" x 15" Non-Stick Digital Skillet Black

General Electric 169216 Deep 12' x 15' Non-Stick Digital Skillet BlackWe ate at a friend's house for Sichuan Hot Pot, This skillet is truly a star. It is fast in heating, easy to adjustThe only thing I'm not very happy with it is the cap smells a little bit toxic.

After a while of using it, I discovered some problem with this pot. First of all, it's square, so it's hard to estimate how much water to put in sometimes. A good estimate will be to hit the lowest line.(that's already a lot of water added). Secondly, the teflon coating is easy to scratch, so you probably want to buy a wooden spoon to go with this pot. Thirdly, the cord is really short, it's only an arm's length. Fourthly, it's hard to clean because flipping it over is impossible.

Overall, it's huge pot, it can contain lots of stuff. It's meant for social cooking!

My daughter has one; and wealways use GE products and this one is light weight and easy to use.

I love my G.E. electric skillet (fry pan). The actual depth of the pan itself is 3 1/2", which is great for making homefries. You have plenty of room to flip them without potatoes going everywhere. This is my 3rd G.E. electric skillet. The others still work, but after many years of use they have "retired" as my fish fry pans.My new one stays in the kitchen. Thanks for the quick shipping!!

Iittala Sarpaneva Cast Iron Casserole

iittala Sarpaneva 3-Quart Cast Iron Casserole with Wooden HandleWhen you read the description of this pot on any website, including Amazon's, it sounds as if the iittala company decided that cooks today needed another chance to own this beautiful, practical pot, so they decided to manufacture it again. The descriptions, which wax rhapsodic about the pots proudly bearing the Timo Sarpeneva Design stamp, (and the $230 price tag), lead one to believe it is manufactured in Finland. Some of the seller's descriptions, including Amazon's, actually state that this pot is made in Finland. Not so!A tiny paper sticker reveals the country of origin to be China. The finishing made me suspicious before I saw the sticker-it's rather rough around the edges, not smooth like the original Finnish ones made in the 1960's.I actually ordered this pot twice-the first time, it arrived with a big chip off the edge, which was strange, because as the chipped-off piece wasn't in the box, it must have been put into the box that way.So much for quality control, but I really wanted one of these pots, and I convinced myself that mistakes could happen to anyone.I didn't examine the box at that time, or I would have seen the Made in China sticker discreetly located on the bottom. When the second pot arrived, I was again a little disappointed in the finishing of the edges, because for $230 this should be a high quality, carefully made piece of cookware, but the design is too adorable for words, so I was ready to keep it anyway. Then I noticed the China sticker.Seriously? If I buy a Le Creuset pot and pay $230, at least I know it's made in France! If it's going to be a knockoff, it better also have a knockoff price tag.You can get a Le Creuset-style pot made in China at Target for $50.If this pot cost $50, I'd figure I was getting what I paid for.I had been reading various cooking blogs in which rabid Le Creuset lovers discussed the iittala and other expensive cast-iron cooking pots, and the funny thing is, all of them seemed to believe that these pots are made in Finland.Go to the iittala site and give their advertising for these pots a really close read.Nowhere is this claim actually made, although it is very much implied.I started to wonder if perhaps it was simply the packaging that was made in China, so I called the U.S. distributor for iittala. They were quite up front, telling me that ALL of the iittala cast-iron products are made in China.Apparently the home company, which the advertising implies is producing this pot, only makes a few of the iittala products, such as the $3000 artisan glass vases.Needless to say, I returned the pot.Given the quality of the finishing, it isn't worth $230.I felt it deserved two stars simply becauseTimo Sarpaneva's design is immortal-practical and lyrical at once, and I regret that the iittala company doesn'trespect his work enough to see that it is produced as it should be.I also don't appreciate being intentionally deceived.

I was suprised to see this on amazon, its a design classic and something I've always wanted. The pot is heavy cast iron with a white enamel interior and is made very well. The handle on mine had a bit of the finish off where it slides through the pot, but I figured this would happen with use regardless.Love it!

Staub 11-Inch Hexagon Frying Pan with Two Handles and Removable Silicone Handle Holders

Staub 11-Inch Hexagon Frying Pan with Two Handles and Removable Silicone Handle Holders, AubergineLet's start with the GOOD STUFF:

1)This pan is absolutely beautiful as all Staub products are.If you own a piece of Staub, you know that by "beautiful" I mean both in form and function, and that extra weight that their pans have, with the obvious high quality. And then there is the instant infatuation with the piece that you get with Staub (and others get with Le Creuset). For me personally, it is Staub. When I cooked with it tonight, the infatuation continued! There is certainly nothing more beautiful as cooking in quality cast-iron, even just as you glance down on the stove.

2)Cast-iron maintains heat well and is therefore excellent for meat and cornbread (all agree) and possibly everything (per it's biggest fans).

3)Enameled cast iron such as Staub and Le Creuset is not non-stick; though it does become somewhat more non-stick over time, it will never become as non-stick as Teflon, or a well-seasoned non-enameled cast iron pan. This is good for creating a fond or nice sauce where you want a little sticking. On the other hand, this pan is non-stick enough to reasonably cook food in it.I made a couscous dish, and only about 20% of the pan had stuck-on couscous in a very thin layer, but it was only a very very tiny amount of wasted food, not anything you would even think about for a half-second.You can soak the pan and scrub it with ease.

4)Enameled cast iron is non-reactive and you can therefore cook anything in this pan, including acidic sauces. You can also clean it with soap.[Non-enameled cast iron can also reportedly cook acidic sauces if it has built up enough carbon in the pan and/or it's not cooked for too long, and some folks say you can use soap, but those are way too complicated for this post.]

And now for the BAD STUFF:There are some significant draw-backs to this pan, and whether they matter to you is entirely a personal matter of what and how you like to cook. But I will delineate them here so that you can make a more educated decision.

1)Note that this pan does not come with a lid.I (stupidly) did not realize the significance of this (being a new cook) until it arrived and I wanted to make something with it for dinner that night that needed a lid.Staub clarified that any lid should be fine (i.e.,not scratch it), so I just used an 11" lid I had from another (non Staub pan). But you may want to consider a saute pan with lid as another option not that you should get that instead of this, but just consider which you want in particular.Staub does not manufacture separate lids.Because if you use this pan a lot, you need a lid!!

2)The red handles do get rather hot when the pan is being used on the stove top (I had it between low-med and med for about 15 minutes by the time they were hot). However, they are perfect for at least being able to momentarily hold or move the pan, as they are certainly not as hot as the handles underneath!I did find myself occasionally grabbing pot holders still, because I didn't always want to be conscientious and "test" the heat every time. You can touch them, and you can move the pan around, but you won't want to be holding them for say, more than 10 seconds.*This again as opposed to touching the bare pan, which might burn you instantly.

3)You cannot cook eggs in this pan. This being a frying pan, you might occasionally hanker to cook eggs it in, but DO NOT COOK EGGS IN THIS PAN.They will stick horribly, and you can soak it for 30 years, and you'll still have to use your nails to individually peel the egg crust out of each and every single bubble in the bottom of this pan that's about 75 indentations you'll be individually scraping out.It hurts and takes about 20 minutes sitting with the pan.

If you want to cook eggs in cast-iron, you have two other options:

a)Use a Le Creuset or another enameled cast iron pan, which has a flat bottom (no dimpled surface). You can try to minimize sticking by using more oil to cook the eggs, and if they still stick, you can soak the pan and scrub it out with a sponge.[That doesn't work with this pan because of the dimples...at all...just trust me on that one.]

b)Purchase an old-fashioned non-enameled cast iron skillet from Lodge Logic, follow all directions on seasoning the pan (even if it's pre-seasoned), cook a bunch of bacon in the pan a few times, keep it well-seasoned, and you should be able to create a non-stick surface, for some this takes longer than others to develop.

4)I'm concerned to cook anything delicate (like pancakes) in this pan because of the dimpled bottom. And having a frying pan that can't cook eggs and pancakes in it, for me, is just backwards.

Personally, if I could have done this over again, I would not have purchased this pan as much as I love my Staub dutch oven.I would have bought a Lodge Logic cast-iron pan, seasoned the heck out of it, and used it for everything but acidic dishes, which I would have cooked in my dutch oven.I like having a pan you can do more things in, and this one just can't.

However, everyone is different, which is why I hopefully provided enough details so that you can make the best decision for you!

Love the sturdy feel and beautiful look of the pan, but it DOES stick a bit and cuz it has little bubble like groove....it took longer to clean than a regular pan

Le Creuset 3-Ply Stainless-Steel 8-Inch Nonstick Omelet Pan

Le Creuset 3-Ply Stainless-Steel 8-Inch Nonstick Omelet PanI just recently bought the 8 pc. set of stainless steel cookware from le creuset. I am a big fan of All Cladwhich my parents haveand wanted something that could compete, but wasn't as expensive. I tested this pan against my mom's All Clad 9" non-stick skillet this morning. Here were my results:

This pan heated up slightly slower than the All Clad panbut only by a second or two. Neither pan needed high temperatures to cook, and both finished eggs at about the same time.

Clean up was SO easy. No scrubbing at all. The finish on this skillet is beautiful. It comes with a 10 year warranty, too (because it is non-stick).

I would recommend this skillet to anyone looking for a great non-stick skillet that cooks evenly, has easy clean up, looks great, and is reasonably priced. The pan is heavy, which is nice for keeping it level on the stove, as well.

I own a set of Le Creuset enameled cast iron cookware and this is my first purchase of their 3-ply stainless-steel product line. I must say I am very impressed with the obvious quality of this pan! It has a solid weight (lighter than the cast iron, but doesn't feel light and flimsy) and a beautiful appearance. The bottom has a nice "machined" look and the handle provides a solid and ergonomic grip. I highly recommend this and all products from Le Creuset. A worthwhile investment for anyone who spends time in the kitchen. Good cookware makes all the difference!

T-fal C798SC64 Ultimate Stainless Steel Copper-Bottom Multi-Layer Base 12-Piece Cookware Set, Silver

T-fal C798SC64 Ultimate Stainless Steel Copper-Bottom Multi-Layer Base 12-Piece Cookware Set, SilverWhen we noticed our non-stick pans were losing their non-stick (into ours and our childrens food) we decided it was time to look at the alternative to teflon and non-stick coating. We waffled over whether to go cast iron or stainless. I was worried about cooking with stainless because of the sticking issue but decided to bite the bullet and went ahead and purchased these. I have to say, we LOVE them! My husband is able to make the most amazing omelettes without leaving half of it behind. I haven't had much trouble with sticking at all. Scrambled eggs and hash browns seem to be the worst so far and with 15 mins of soaking the pans in water I am able to just scrub them clean with my nylon scrubby sponge. They are tough and durable and seem to put up with alot of use. We aren't occasional cookers, as a family of five these pots and pans get used daily. The price is right but dont let it fool you! Can't say enough.

I did a bunch of research before buying new pots and pans. The reviews I read on this set made me believe that it was the best value for the money. The set arrived in beautiful condition and has remained that way with a good hand washing and drying.

The negatives I saw in the reviews here were that things were sticking and the handles got hot. I have not had a problem with either. In my opinion and from my experience the people who had food stick to the pans need to alter their cooking methods. Non-stick cookware, aside from not lasting very long and being dangerous to your health, has removed oils and butter from many peoples recipies. As for the handles getting hot, you need to use a burner that is equal to or smaller in size than the bottom of the cookware. I use the proper size burners and even when cooking at high temperatures my handles stay cool to the touch.

Hopefully this helps.

I AM SO HAPPY I DID!I am not a super crazy cook, I cook a few times a week. These are just right for people like me!They clean up super easy, they are as shiny as the day I bought them, I even have used a metal fork to stir (I know, not good move!) but they are completely scratch free!!!And they heat up quickly and evenly throughout the whole pan ( not just in the middle like cheap ones do!).I say give them a try!Why drop $500 when you can get a great product for way less???

I've been wanting to switch to stainless for a while now and at this price I decided to go for it.I was actually concerned about the price being so low as I couldn't imagine a really quality set being priced around $100.After receiving the set and cooking with it, I can't believe how nice it is.They're amazing! The pieces are beautiful, very thick and very sturdy. The polish is gorgeous and cooking with them is a dream come true.

Like a lot of people, I had some concerns about cooking with stainless. So, previous to getting the set, I did a little research to make sure I knew what I was doing when I started.I'd like to share some of those tips here to help anyone that might be having a difficult time or shared my concerns. Here goes:

1. Never use High heat unless you are boiling water! Stainless conducts heat amazingly and medium to medium/high heat it the equivalent of using High with other pots and pans.

2. Always warm the pan first before adding oil or butter. It just takes a few seconds. When you can feel the heat coming off the pan, its ready for your oil or butter.

3. Eggs!Eggs were my biggest concern.I think everyone at some point has tried to cook eggs in stainless and ended up with some sort of catastrophe. There is an easy solution to making PERFECT eggs, scrambled or not. Here it is.Set your eggs, in the shell, in a bowl of warm water while the pan is warming.Cold eggs stick! They only need a minute or so in warm water.Once the pan is warm and the butter is melted, the now warm eggs can be added and they will slide around super easy, flip with no sticking! On top of that, the eggs come out perfect.I don't know if it's the even heat or what but try it, you'll see. I've caught myself (twice) cooking eggs I don't even want just because cooking them, in these pans, is mind blowing. I know that sounds ridiculous but having been really worried about being able to cook eggs in these and to have it be so easy is a big deal. I feel like a pro!

Anyhow, I hope this helps and I hope you enjoy these as much as me. These pots rock. Get some.

I decided it was time to upgrade our 35 year old Revere Wear.It was still good stuff, and the newlywed niece who now has it loves it, but I've been getting more into cooking lately and the Revere Wear was ... limiting. These pans are incredible!!The first thing we had to get used to was using them at a much lower heat setting on our electric stove. They spread the heat evenly and do the same job at "4" as the old pans did at "8".We have never had anything stick to them. They're not coated, they're not anti-stick, but they don't grab the food, even when I'm cooking up 5 quarts of chili and let it simmer (at "1", no less!!) for a few hours.Stir every half hour or so, and nothing sticks!! (The in-laws came out to visit, and Mom couldn't cook with them because they were so much better than anything she's ever used. She's always been the "turn it to high and let it boil 'til it's mush" type of cook anyway, but it was fun watching my wife trying to teach her how to use low heat!! :))

Some say that they're a beast to keep in showroom condition.Well, I don't hang them on the wall, I take them out of the cupboard and put 'em on the stove and use 'em like they were intended. If they start to look a little dull, Bar Keeper's Friend and a paper towel does wonders, or an SOS pad, either one.No elbow grease needed they clean up to a nice shine with no fuss at all. They are far easier to wash than our old pans were.A swish of the rag and they're done.

I got the full set plus a few additional pieces.I've done everything so far from soup to chili to sauces and puddings.I've fried, brased, deep fried, roasted and used them on the stove top and in the oven.I love the see-through lids!!They've opened up a whole new capability to me.I've never before been able to see what was happening without lifting the lid.

They'll do an omelet over a slow heat and it slides right out of the pan like you're a pro or something.Bobby Flay I'm not, but these let me think I am if I try hard enough!!

I looked at a lot of sets until I settled on these as the best bang for the buck. They are well worth the price!!I love 'em!!

I saw this pan being used at a cooking demonstration by a chef who was not pushing any product.I immediately noticed how easy it was to clean after it's use. That was the major reason I became interested.

It cooks evenly and cleans so much easier than my other grill pans. It's light weight and a must for any kitchen.

In the beginning I was only looking for a George Foreman kind of small grill machine so we can still enjoy grill steaks & burgers in winter. But I just couldn't find a machine with the right size & function in my price range. I especially dislike that fact that with most of those machines you can't really control the temperature well. Then I saw someone's blog mentioned Berndes grill pan & I was immediately attracted by its features. Comparing to the grill machine this is more like real cooking so naturally for me, a homemaker who enjoys cooking, this fits my needs much better so I'm willing to spend more. Before I finally made my purchase I've read so many reviews about Berndes. People brag about how good its non-stick surface work. I was a little skeptical, but I'm a believer now that I've used it for a week. I've used it for grilled chickens, steaks, fishes, lamb chops & they're all good, plus I could rid off lots of fat. The pan is very easy to clean too. Yesterday I whipped a few eggs, wanted to make scramble egg but decided to test my Berndes Grill pan on how non-stick it can be. Without applying any oil I pour my whipped eggs on the pan & turn to medium heat. A few minutes later I pulled up an egg sheet(with light grill marks) and my Berndes pan is as clean as it hasn't been used. Neat~

Michelle B. by Fagor Cast Iron Lite Chef's Pan with Lid

Fagor Michelle B. 12-Inch Cast Iron Lite Chef's Pan with Glass Lid, RedI was looking for a new everyday cooking pan with enough room to cook for two people. On the other hand, I did not want a huge pan that would take up the entire kitchen cabinet. I was looking at cast iron pans when I came across this particular pan. I loved the color of it immediately since it would go with my apartment. I also loved that it came with a lid and would not weight as much as normal cast iron pans would. The day I received the pan from Amazon I immediately opened the box, hand washed it, and I read the included materials. That night I made a quick stir fry and immediately realized this pan was not what I was hoping for. Not only did the dinner stick horribly to the pan but after cleaning the pan the white inside was brown and nasty looking. I was never able to get rid of the discoloring, and food sticks badly to the pan. I kept the pan hoping that it was my fault from not using enough oil or cooking spray, but no matter what I do the food sticks and does not cook evenly. I will be looking for a new pan soon to replace this one.

I purchased this from an Amazon sister site, myhabit.com.It is the second Fagor pan that i haved purchased that bows in the center; all liquids run to the perimeter of the pan. Both were like this upon receipt.Other than that, it's a decent pan, the enamel coating is good, but it definitely does not seem to provide the same benefit as a full cast iron pan.I don't know what "new technology" was used, but it seems like they just reduced the mass.In retrospect, i should have known better that to purchase celebrity cookware. Not recommended.

Quality cookware but very heavy and tends to rust in areas if you leave in water for to long.Foods also tend to stick in the porcelian.

I got this pan about 6 months ago thinking lighter cast iron would be a good thing because I find my regular cast iron enamel pieces to be very heavy. It was an attractive pan when I got it, but after a few uses I noticed the exterior enamel appeared to be coming off. As in, when I wipe it with a damp white towel, red comes off on the towel. I don't know what it's made of, but none of my other enamel pieces do that. A few more uses, and the exterior enamel looked awful. Being lighter cast iron is not really a good thing, either. It seems to heat up too quickly and have hot spots, so things want to stick and burn. I think this is a very poorly made product.

Paula Deen Signature Porcelain 9-Inch Nonstick Skillet and 11-Inch Nonstick Square Griddle, Red

Paula Deen Signature Porcelain 9-Inch Nonstick Skillet and 11-Inch Nonstick Square Griddle, RedI love this set by Paula Dean. The griddle is the perfect size for pancakes or grilled cheese and so far nothing has stuck.I love the 9 inch skillet for eggs and omlets. They come out perfect.

This set of pans is pretty nice. I got it to give the Paula Deen pans a try and I needed a new square griddle! The price was excellent so it was time! The interior is non-stick (a plus)and the lovely red speckled enamel exterior is my hands down favorite thing about these pans! I like that they have a metal ring for hanging, it's a copper color and looks nice. The only downside for me is the handles are a bit too narrow for a comfortable grip!

Cuisinart 433-30H Contour Stainless 5-Quart Saute Pan with Helper Handle and Glass Cover

Cuisinart 433-30H Contour Stainless 5-Quart Saute Pan with Helper Handle and Glass CoverAfter nearly a decade, my 5 quart saute pan needed to be replaced. After looking around, I picked this one because of it's mid-range price and reviews I've read of this line of pans.

As you would expect with a disc based pan, it heats quickly and evenly. I cook on a gas range and even heating is very important to me.

The lid fits nicely, it's not as highly domed as my last pan's lid was, so I do have to be a bit more careful about how much food I put in it. The handle on the lid is big enough to easily grasp it using a potholder.

The handle on the pan stays cool to the touch.

I love the shape and appearance of this pan, and how well it heats. Since this size pan is the most used pan in my kitchen, if I decide to pick up a second one, it will be another one of these. I use these a lot for quick stews, the wide base makes it easy to saute the meat, then add in the rest of the ingredients, cover and let it simmer until done.

I love this pan.I save on electricity with it as I use it on low heat, high is not necessary.

Seems everything tastes better that I cook in it.

This is a nice pan for the price it's not a top-of-the line pan, but it's perfectly fine. It heats evenly and cleans up well. The only word of caution is that it transfers heat very easily perhaps a little too easily, so while it's fine for food cooked at high temperatures, it might be difficult to simmer at low temperatures unless you have a heat diffuser (assuming you cook over a gas flame). Maybe not such an issue with electric stoves (?). The pan also makes quite a bit of noise as it heats up a sort of "tinking" noise as the metal expands. Doesn't seem to affect function, but it does make me wonder how durable the pan will prove to be over the long-term.

We purchased this Cuisinart Contour pan after finding the Calphalon pan we wanted was not available in the store where we were shopping. The Cuisinart appeared comparable, so we purchased it.On first use, we observed cooking oil flowing to the outer edges of the pan bottom and an obviously uneven surface.

After clean up, a straight edge placed across the bottom of the pan revealed a gap of about one eighth inch at the center.

We returned the pan and will purchase another brand.

Scanpan Classic Stir Fry Pan

Scanpan Classic 11-Inch WokI was really excited to get the scanpan wok. However, I have found some pros and cons.

What I really like: it is a really good non-stick pan, you can cook over medium heat, with no oil at all, and food cooks evenly and slides right out as if it is on a slick surface.I cooked this way for several times.

Con: Then one day I used high heat to stir fry with a 2 tbsp of oil, the pan never performed as well afterwards. After using it on high heat just ONE time, the pan has a tendency to stick slightly.Always have to use more oil later, in order to get non-stick.

Since I use it more for stir fry than stews, this pan is now relegated to the pantry.

I think for the exorbitant $$$ cost, other woks that are cheaper perform better.

If you cook only over medium heat, this is a FANTASTIC buy.

If you stirfry often and need very high heat, this is NOT a good choice.

We have an entire set of ScanPan and consider it the best cookware we have ever owned in terms of function. When the stir fry pan was introduced we had to have one. This is now the pan of choice for stir-fry and for cooking things like chowders, stews and chili. It conducts heat evenly with no hot spots, it cleans up easily with a paper towel. There is really no reason to put it through the dishwasher since it wipes clean with a sponge or paper towel. It is absolutely the best non-stick surface with which we have ever cooked.

We highly recommend the ScanPan brand of cookware and especially this multi-function pot.

We own quite a few Scanpans and cannot say enough about them.Cooking is a pleasure with the no stick surface. They clean up like nothing you have used before and look as new as the day we bought them.We like them so much that now we buy scanpans for all our family members as birthday and Christmas gifts.

We have most of the classic Scanpan line of cookware.I own both sizes of woks. This smaller classic 11" wok is a nice size for small meals. If I am preparing a small stir-fry meal for my wife and I, or just something for myself, this is my "go-to" pan.I have had several steel woks and even an electric wok in the past. The Scanpan is my favorite for a couple of reasons.First, Scanpan has a great surface, and it is nearly non-stick.It's not as slick as Teflon, but it holds up well in the kitchen. My 15-20 yr old Scanpans have some chips in the non-stick surface, but every traditional non-stick pan I have ever owned needed to be replaced after a few years despite delicate treatment.

I have an electric stove, and love to stir-fry on HIGH.I noted another reviewer said cooking on high seemed to change the surface of the pan.I haven't encountered that.I try to always have my food prepared before I start the heat. The pan won't burn if there is adequate food in it to absorb the heat.....and I stir like crazy at times!

These pans are great if you need to "deep fry" small batches of something. The small bottom and high sides allow me to use just a small amount of oil and not get splatter all over my stove.

And lastly, there is no problem with rusting like on the steel woks. When the food is done, we serve it from the wok, and whatever is left can stay in the pan.Our old woks would discolor or rust right away.As I have said, I own both sizes of Scanpan woks and have even given them as gifts to family members. They are the best woks I have ever used.

Just LOVE these things.Work on the road, so I'd normally buy one for cooking in motels from Calgary to New Iberia. Then give it away at the job's end.Now that the handle's more stable and heat resistant it's just about perfect. The plasma-embedded titanium ceramic means you'll still need some oil.But has none of the shortcomings of PTFE. You can find the same with slate-coated pure aluminum skillets for less at TJ or Marshall's, but here it's Scanpan's design features that seem superior.Don't even think about the price.I've had one for 18 years and you can see a few scratches in but not through the coating.

Rachael Ray 9.5 Inch Cast-Iron Oval Fajita Pan, Orange

Rachael Ray 9.5 Inch Cast-Iron Oval Fajita Pan, OrangeI bought this pan to evaluate Rachel Ray's line.Well it is NOT a value priced LeCrueset! It is light; (I have a Lodge fajita pan also) and I cannot imagine it surviving intact and looking good to pass on to my daughter, etc as it scratched the first time it was (gently) used. I also agree that it sticks like crazy! I believe the enamel coat needs to be thicker, or of a better quality. The plus side of this is that I spent $20.00 and got free shipping.Sorry, I cannot recommend this brand for an enameled cast iron investment.Good only if you hate all other types of cookware and cannot afford any of the better brands!

I recentlypurchased a RR brand cast iron pot from this line was very satisfied. It's a pot I'll keep a life time. Now this Fajita pan!Everything sticks to it. I use lots of oil. Maybe I am doing something wrong. Any suggestions?Because it goes from to stove top to oven I use it to make oven roasted vegetables, and I have broiled fish in it with great results. But if your are trying to fry an egg on this you might have a problem.I tried to cook onions and peppers with it. I coated the pan with olive oil I had to used a spatula to pry the food from the pan.I don't know maybe I'm doing something wrong.Heavy pan works well in the oven.Cleaning takes a little elbow grease though.I soak the pan immediately after use.

THE UPDATE:I have stopped trying to use this pan all together. What a waste of financial resources. I have been using this with far superior results:Cuisinart Chef's Classic Non-Stick Hard Anodized 12-Inch Everyday Pan with Medium Dome Cover. Non-stick stove to oven perfect for just about everything. Easy clean up. Ok I love Rachel Ray and so I thought that this cast iron enamal pan would be awesome! Needless to say I used it once, it smoked out my whole house and then I couldn't clean it.There was still black marks on it that would not come out after soaking it for a whole day.I then tried it again last night thinking, "well, maybe I did something wrong the first time."NOPE AGAIN IT BURNT oil to the pan and I CANNOT get anything off of this pan.It still sitting in my sink soaking because we couldn't get any of the burnt stuff off.NOT A GOOD PAN!

The pan is pretty. It does heat evenly. But as everyone says, food sticks to it. And as long as I've ever used any porcelain cookware, I've never known it to have nonstick qualities. So, my expectations were realistic. However, the advertisements do say, "no need to season [the pan]" which makes you think, it will be somewhat nonstick. I think the best way to use it is to keep the heat at medium. Heat first, then add oil, then whatever you're cooking. I made an omelet (I know it's not meant for that) in it this morning. And it only stuck a little to the sides. For clean up, I recommend coating the bottom with water and letting it heat on the stove to a simmer for about 10-15 minutes or so. You'll find the cooked on stuff will scrape off easily. You can do this with any cookware. I'll continue to use it because I'm trying to use healthier alternatives to teflon.

I am with Helen the pan does its job, especially for the price. (Mine came from Goodwill for $5 even better) Never had the privilege to use Le Creuset, but for 1/10 of the price, the need to plan a little is worth it.

BTW: Olive oil is not for cooking on cast iron it simply cannot stand the heat butter works much better.

This is my go to for eggs. I have had them stick badly, and have had them come off without a hitch. All it takes is for the pan to be well heated before being greased.

KitchenAid Gourmet Essentials 12-Piece Nonstick Hard Base Cookware Set, Red

KitchenAid Gourmet Essentials 12-Piece Nonstick Hard Base Cookware Set, RedThese are excellent potsthe nonstick surface is an improvement over regular old Teflon and they're heavy and spread the heat well. Gotta love the splendid red color, too!

I find these cook a bit slow, but that's a good thing; I haven't managed to overcook and mangle a single thing in these pots. The heat spreads well and stays consistent, I haven't had any "cold spot" problems. They're also a snap to clean, I like an OXO Nylon bristle dish scrubber. Nothing sticks and pots almost wash themselves.

I wish they made a 12 inch skillet; but this is a perfect starter set and easier to use than a lot of fancy pots are.

Very Highly Recomended!

The item description did not state that if you use these pans on a ceramic/glasstop stove the pan may "fuse to the stovetop requiring replacement of the stovetop". If you don't have a glass cooktop this is a very nice set for the price.

I say... go for it!I was so very pleasantly surprised with the quality of this set. While it is NOT dishwasher safe, they wash up like a dream... no effort required, so I don't mind doing these dishes! They are heavy and well-made.The silicone handles are fabulous too! They are so soft and give you such a nice grip on the pan.How can you complain with the bonus au-grautin pans? That makes a 14 pc set for $104.99 SHIPPED!(free shipping and code CLEAROUT at checkout takes an extra $25 off your order). My recommendation is 5* and I would give them a higher number if I could!

This is great cookware, I am wondering if anyone is actually reading all the directions???

About glass top stoves, etc, it just states do not slide your pots all over as to scratch, and NOT to cook an EMPTY POT on a hot glass top stove or the damage could happen, NOT with normal use!! You are never supposed to leave a hot empty pot cooking anyway!!

So, don't let that scare you from getting this great cookware!
