Guy Fieri 10-in. Nonstick Fry Pan, Tattoo Flames

Guy Fieri 10-in. Nonstick Fry Pan, Tattoo Flamesthe pan cooks fine but it was purchsed to also be a bit of art. after using it a couple times the paint on the bottom has blackened to the point that you barely make out the image. i would not recomend this unless you plan to hang it on a wall or place it on a shelf for display purposes.his knives are great the frying pan not so great.

We got this for my fiance's son and it fits his style perfectly. He loves to cook and this will add a bit of a personal touch to his kitchen. The item arrived well packaged and in good condition.

The inside of the pan works nicely. However I was planning to use this as decoration when not in use, but after one use, the paint is already coming off of the design. very disappointing.

This fry pain looks great and cooks great. The only thing is that the paint on the back of the pain appears to be easily scratched. Otherwise, really nice pain.

Expanding Beechwood Mug Wall Rack with 13 Hooks! *Premium Quality*

Expanding Beechwood Mug Wall Rack with 13 Hooks! *Premium Quality*If you only have screws to use for mounting this, you'll have trouble. It comes with none, and the mounting method is the same as a small picture, just a triangular hook. If you put anything of weight on this you'd want to use a decent sized screw which you can't since you'd need a small screw head to get the triangle over it. Personally, I had hercules hooks, which worked fine. The rack itself is perfectly functions and find looking.

Great for Holding mugs . Did have hard time hanging it with their hooks so used my own. Would recommend

Disney Pancake Pans - Mickey Mouse

Disney Pancake Pans - Mickey MouseThought this would be a fun way to re-create the Disney Magic at home. This pan is VERY poor quality. Super small, the metal is so cheap that it doeesn't hold the heat at all causing the outside to burn before the inside cooks . The edging makes it impossible to flip the pancake..and this is not non-stick. I tried several times and they all fell apart. Honestly this pan isn't worth $2.00. The only thing I can do with this pan is hang it in my kitchen as a decorative item.

This pan is Cheap, flimsy, anddoesn't hold heat.Is not worth a penny. Save your money.Great idea, but not worth it.

Mauviel M'stone2 8229.20 Frying Pan, 8-Inch

Mauviel M'stone2 8229.20 Frying Pan, 8-Inch

The 8-inch, nonstick skillet is an often used pan in my kitchen.I use it for quick, little meals such as a grilled cheese sandwich, a burger, an omelette, even for making pan sauces.I usually buy good quality skillets but try to get them on sale for around $20-40.I think that may be why I go through them in about 2 years.Although this one is more expensive, I believe that it is worth it.Mauviel is a French company that has been making kitchenware for many years and they are used by tons of professional chefs.

I thought that this short video of the Mauviel frying pan in action might be helpful to potential buyers. Thanks for looking!

Awesome little breakfast pan. Great for a single serving of eggs, scrambled or over-easy, sunnyside-up.

However, I bought the pan for omelettes. It is a little too small and the sidewall slope is too abrupt for the ideal rolling action required for classic French omelettes. I am going to go with the next size up and I think that ought to do the job.

Nevertheless, this is an extremely well made piece of cookware.

The first few months this pan was marvelous. After about 4 months of use, fried eggs started to stick in a certain area. There appears to be a manufacturing flaw in the non stick coating.Since this product is over 30 days old, we now have to go through the hassle of returning it to the manufacturer.Thankfully, due to the price, proof of purchase and UPC were saved for such an issue.Hopefully, the manufacturer will stand behind the product as promised. However, they did not respond to our first email inquiry.

1-20-13

They stood behind their product.Customer Service was helpful and courteous.I was offered a replacement or a store credit of equal value. This time I went with a stainless steel interior pan.To date, the product performs as expected for superb browning and pan drippings.

Cuisinart MultiClad Pro Stainless Saute with Helper and Cover

Cuisinart MCP33-30HN MultiClad Pro Stainless 5-1/2-Quart Saute with Helper and CoverI'm a fan of multiclad cookware, the kind that takes heat conductive aluminum and surrounds it with easy to maintain stainless steel. Professional cooks swear by it, but I'm just a home cook, and didn't even know about until a few years ago while watching America's Test Kitchen. This popular PBS series tests kitchenware, and reports their recommendations via their TV show, as well as 2 different magazines they publish. All-Clad cookware has always ranked up there as the best, but at a high price!

Fortunately for us middle class working stiffs, other cookware manufactures have picked up on the multiclad concept and have been producing their own versions. Enter Cuisinart's MultiClad Pro line.

This particular item takes all the benefits of multiclad and gives us a reasonably priced alternative. Compared to the All Clad Stainless Steel 3-Quart Saute Pan with Lid, which is 1/2 quart smaller and at a price tag of almost $100, you are getting a real bargain here.

This saute pan is beautiful, with stunning luster, and solidly constructed. It goes from oven to table with no problems, and looks stunning. The lid fits nicely, and the curved lip allows for pouring that resists clinging to the side of the pot. It's very very easy to maintain. Personally, I hand wash all my high end cookware, so I cannot comment on whether it's dishwasher safe. If you do hand wash (and you should....just sayin'), use Bar Keepers Friend® Cleanser & Polish: 12 OZ and a non abrasive sponge to keep that amazing shine.

I give the product 5 stars, for it's durability, construction, looks, and ease of cleaning. I love this Cuisinart Line and highly recommend it.

I spent more hours than I want to admit researching and choosing pots and pans. I ordered several different sets including Cuisinart's Chef's Classic 7-piece set and the MultiClad Pro 7-piece set. I ended up returning both and purchased individual pots. If you purchase Multiclad pots individually, you don't end up paying too much more than a full set would cost, but you can choose the exact pans you want. I purchased a 10" saute pan, 1.5qt sauce pan, and 4qt sauce pan and I use every pan almost every day. If I bought the 7or 12-piece set, I'd save some money per pan, but many of the pans (8qt stockpot, for example) would sit idle.

I really liked the idea of getting a saute pan because it holds way more food and is more versatile. I can cook for 2-5 people with the same pan, whereas the 10" frying pan that comes with the 7-piece set can barely make enough for 3 people.

It cooks very evenly and like others have said, can be made non-stick with the right preparation. Simply warm up the pan first, then add oil, and once that is nice and hot, add your foods. I made the best crepes I've ever made in this pan with no sticking at all!

The look and feel of the pan is also excellent. It's heavy and high-quality, but not too heavy. Also, the brushed stailess exterior with the mirror-finish rim is so sexy, if a pan can be called sexy. I like these so much that I always want to clean them up and they make me happy every time I see them!

Get this, it's highly recommended! It's too bad it costs as much as the 5 1/2 quart saute pan :(

I have used non-stick pans forever AND have replaced said pans over and over as they end up scratching.I decided to change to stainless steel for health and safety reason as well as a more permanent cookware.I did my research and Cuisinart came out on top, which is why I chose this brand. Also, as I wanted to be able to actually lift the pan, I decided on this 3 1/2 size.I am happy and satisfied and would highly recommend as a high quality cookware.Be prepared to use a little care.. but worth it

Magefesa Delicia Non Stick Stainless Steel Fry Pan

Magefesa Delicia 8-Inch Non Stick Stainless Steel Fry PanWe have a bed and breakfast, so good quality cooking tools is very important to us. We bought this pan last year, only one because that is all they had at the time. We liked it so much for making our omelets that we decided to replace our other pans with two more if this one. Sadly, when we received these, and have since used them, we were very disappointed with their change in quality. The metal is thinner and the handle is different. The nonstick surface is different as well. They are a much lower grade of product then before.

I cook mostly on a INDUCTION stove and have tried a couple of Stainless Steal non stick fry pans and had a hard time getting even cooking. I tried the 10" Magefesa Pan and am delighted. It is made in Spain and has that European quality.

Calphalon Unison Nonstick 12-Inch Round Griddle Pan

Calphalon Unison Nonstick 12-Inch Round Griddle PanI purchased this Calphalon Unison Nonstick 12 Inch Round Griddle Pan along with the Calphalon Unison Nonstick 12 Inch Round Grill Pan and cannot be happier. We use this pan for everything: eggs, bacon, French toast, pancakes, vegetables, dumplings (pot stickers), I even made a batch of one-pan brownies (preparing the recipe in the pan on the stove, then sticking the pan in the oven to bake) and they came out great!

The main points for this pan are:

* Nonstick (I mean REALLY nonstick)

* Oven-safe

* Easy to clean

* Handle stays cool while cooking (except when used in the oven)

* Large size with steep sides allows for cooking almost anything but crepes

At around $50 (I paid $100 for the set of two pans) this pan is an incredible bargain. It outperforms every nonstick pan I've used in the past, and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys stove-top cooking. Even if the only time you use a frying pan is for bacon and eggs in the morning, you will fall in love with Calphalon's Unison nonstick coating.

Note: As with any nonstick cookware, avoid using metal cooking utensils. I bought a heat-resistant silicone-coated spatula and set of tongs and they work perfect.

This is a perfect pan for what I feel it was designed for: eggs and pancakes!I can not imagine a more perfectly designed griddle. The new unison slide surface is truly amazing and does make pancakes and eggs easier than I've ever experienced. This pan is a fabulous value if you like to make breakfast items or other griddle items.I rarely use it during the week but it has made weekend breakfasts a snap for me.It heats evenly and quickly, requires little or no butter or oil, and cleans like a breeze.Since it's not for everything and has a large flat surface with space for up to 4 eggs at a time it's not for every kitchen. But if you have the space for it when you're not using it, boy it is fabulous. The handle Calphalon pans have is well-designed and what draws me to Calphalon before all-clad or other more expensive options.

Re: all Calphalon Unison... If you're considering All-Clad and have't felt the handle, I recommend you try their handles in person before going with All-Clad.I feel they are uncomfortable.I really love the shape of the Calphalon handle and very much dislike All-Clad's

I have been using this pan at least twice a week for about 6 months. I have a smooth-top stove and this pan has warped so much that it is almost useless. At first it was a great pan. I used it to make pancakes, french toast, pork chops, cube steak etc and I was very pleased with the way it cooked food and cleaned up in the dishwasher. However, over time the pan no longer sits flat on the stove. Also, the nonstick lining is looking quite worn. I have used only nylon coated utensils. I am grateful I purchased this pan on sale. It is definitely not worth its full price.

I received this pan as a Christmas gift. At first I loved the pan, but after a few weeks, the pan became warped such that it no longer sits flat on my glass, radiant stove. Since I pay meticulous attention to letting my pans cool before hand washing, I was quite surprised when it warped due to regular use. When I contacted Calphalon about the defect, Calphalon refused to replace this product because the company does not warrant against warping, even due to normal use.

This pan heats unevenly to the point where it simultaneously burns and undercooks food.We have not had this problem with our older Calphalon or All-Clad pans. The uneven heat distribution is undoubtedly related to the thickness of the aluminum. The bottom of the pan is 3.9mm thick. Our older Calphalon pans are 5.5mm thick--40% thicker!Indeed the pans feel lightweight and cheap, similar to non-stick pans you buy at the local supermarket.I suggest you avoid this pan and either buy a cheaper item of similar quality or hunt for better quality.

Circulon Symmetry Hard Anodized Nonstick 10-Inch and 12-Inch Skillets Twin Pack

Circulon Symmetry Hard Anodized Nonstick 10-Inch and 12-Inch Skillets Twin PackI have bought brand name nonstick cookware in the past that was only nonstick for the first few uses, even though I cared for it properly.I bought a Circulon pan decades ago, when they first came out, and did not like it.This time around, I was looking for a 12" nonstick pan and decided to try these even though they were Circulon, after reading reviews here and elsewhere, because I am too cheap to spend twice the money for one pan that I liked more.

I'm glad I bought these. This is the first time nonstick pans have still been nonstick after 20 days of use, usually 2 times per day!I have been treating this cookware in my usual way:

*My gas stove burners have 8 settings:high numbers 1 through 6 low.I do not go above 5 with this cookware; usually 4 is sufficient.

*I have used oil or butter in the pans, to make fried rice or grilled cheese, for example.

*I wait until the pan has cooled to wash it.

*I use silicone utensils.

*I hand wash the pans using the soft nonabrasive side of the sponge.

So this morning I made eggs to test whether it was still nonstick.I did not add any butter to the pan.The burner setting was 4.I broke an egg into the pan and scrambled it with a silicon spatula. There was a slight egg white film on the bottom of the pan, but otherwise, the egg came out just fine. This egg was for my dog.

I then cooked 2 fried eggs in the pan, without cleaning it first. They came out beautifully, leaving no discernible trace of the egg white film beneath where they had been. When the pan cooled, the little bit of egg film that remained from scrambling the egg had dried.I wiped it out with a paper towel. There is still a tiny bit of this very, very thin egg film in the crevices of the circles, but it came out in a jiffy when I washed the pan.

These pans clean up in a jiffy, too, which is a huge plus in my book.

The only thing I don't like about these pans is that there is no hole through the tip of the handle so I can hang them on a hook. There is a what should I call it? kind of a shallow cave-like opening on the back of the handle, so I can still hang it facing outward (with the inner pan exposed).I have a rack (5 TIER UNIT USES 3/4 DIAMTER CHROME POSTS (Chrome) (47"H x 18"W x 18"D)) that I store my cookware on, including hanging pans from it.This works because of that cave thing, but my dog likes to curl up beside it and I'm afraid the pans will fall on him.To alleviate that, I put a Rubbermaid Step Stool in that spot.He can't nap beneath the pans any more, so I don't have to worry.

I highly recommend this set of pans.

This set of skillets from Circulon is a pretty good set of pans.

Really non-stick. I like to use a little oil for flavor, but not much is required. Add a little oil for the first pancake and you don't really need to for the next one. Cook a fried egg with no oil at all. It's nice to make scrambled eggs with cheese and not have any cheese stick to the pan. The description says dishwasher safe but because of the nonstick they are very quick and easy to hand wash and probably won't need to go in the dishwasher.

The smooth stainless steel base makes them good for all cook tops, including glass and induction.

Silicone grips on the metal handles keeps them from ever feeling hot but are still oven safe up to 400 (F) degrees.

If you want these pans to stay non-stick, you can't use cooking spray, but that is clearly stated in the use and care. Likewise, you should only use them over low to medium heat as with pretty much all nonstick cookware.

I have a couple of small concerns, which won't be issues for everybody. If you feel that you need a skillet which is oven safe for higher temperatures, you might consider another Circulon offering similiarly priced, Circulon Infinite Hard Anodized Nonstick 10-Inch & 12-Inch Open Skillets Twin Pack These are oven safe up to 500 (F) degrees. They also have a hole in the handle so that you can hang them, something which is missing on this set. However, you get the higher oven temperature by having an all metal handle which gets very hot if you use them in the oven. Also their sides are more sloped, which means you get a little smaller cooking area.

I love these pans. They are the perfect no stick pans, and you don't have to use a lot of oil, they cook everything very evenly, and hold their heat very well. On that note, I never cook above medium heat anymore. I love that there are two of them, they are the only pans I ever use.

Notes to keep them in tip-top condition; like I said, keep the heat low. If you nestle them in the cupboard, be sure to put a dish towel between them so they don't scratch. Don't ever wash them while they are hot, and don't use metal utensils. These will be sure to last a long time.

I'm more than satisfied with this pan. It's so affordable, yet the item itself is well made. The handle seems well attached to the round pan. The non-stick coating looks thick and the food really slides, since the coating is the shiny one. I just gently wipe the grease during washing. I like also the color of the outer layer. It's very classy and it adds more to the perceived value of the pan. 8" is just right for cooking small portions (2-3 servings). The depth is also okay, I can still deep fry thin meat with this. I'm really glad I bought this.

The Camp Chef SK-10 Cast Iron Skillet, 10 Inch Diameter

The Camp Chef SK-10 Cast Iron Skillet, 10 Inch DiameterI am somewhat of a collector of cast iron--and I use my pieces daily.I have Wagner, Griswald, Lodge, Camp Chef, Emeril and some no-name pieces.I use several methods to season and maintain my pans, with good success. This 10 inch Camp Chef is the only one that seems resistant to becoming very slick and black.Don't get me wrong--it is a good pan in that it is relatively nonstick, holds heat, conducts evenly as you expect from cast iron. But for some reason, it is harder to layer on the seasoning.Like many made in China pans, it had a rougher surface than Lodge, Wagner etc.Perhaps this is the reason, althoughmy other Chinese pans are not this difficult. It gets a 4 for performance but a 3 for the stubborn resistance to the classic black seasoned look that I have with all my other naked cast iron pans.

It's heavy and good quality.I use it to cook salmon and steak and they came out juicy and tasted just the way I want.Great value.

Calphalon Contemporary Stainless Steel 5-Quart Sauteuse

Calphalon Contemporary Stainless Steel 5-Quart SauteuseThis 5 qt. pot is an addition to other open stock stainless steel Caphalon pots and pans I've purchased recently. It's 2 short handles are great for tight spaces on the stove and balancing. Food cooks evenly throughout the pot, plus I can bake meals in this pot! This pot cooks better than any non-stick pots I've had. Cleaning the pot is easy (even for someone like me who is prone to overcook food). I use few pots and pans so versatile cookware is important in my household. I am changing out all my non-stick pots and pans for stainless steel and have not been disappointed with any Caphalon stainless steel pieces I've purchased. I don't think I'll return to non-stick.

This cookware is the best I love it, and the price of this 5 Qt pan was such an amazing deal. I have gotten away from non-stick cookware and have only been using Calphalon Stainless Steel. It has 3 ply core through out the entire pan (not only on the bottom as some pans have) which allows it to heat evenly all the way up sides. The reason for not using non-stick pans is that the chemical it disperses can be fatal to my birds.

I first thought that with stainless steel my food would stick to the bottom of the pan but I was wrong they are beautiful and clean up nicely. I have been using these pans for about 10 years and I don't have any complaints. All I do is heat the pan for a couple minutes on low heat and then add a touch of oil and put in the food at medium/low you don't need high heat with these pans.

When I finish cooking I don't leave it on the hot burner, I move it to a different burner or if the pan is empty I put it on a dry towel on my counter and let it cool before washing it. If you put it directly in water from a hot burner your pan may warp from the drastic change in temperature. If you get any stains in it which can happen with heat all you need is a cleaner called "Bar Keepers Friend" which I use on the inside and bottom only and it will keep your pans looking like new, that is the only cleaner I have used in all the time I've had stainless steel cookware.

I like that the pan is big enough to cook four pancakes or grilled cheese and can hold alot of vegetables. Of course, it does stick more than non-stick, even though I started using oil to cook scrambled eggs. After I plate my food, I add some hot water to the pan and put the lid on so it can soak while I'm eating. When I go to wash the pan, the food can be hard to scrub off, but it is not too bad. If it took me 30 seconds to wash my non-stick, it takes about two minutes to wash the stainless, I can live with that. When I want my pan to sparkle, I'll use the barkeepers friend, just sprinkle some on, rub it around for 30-60 seconds, rinse off and dry, good as new. A couple of things about the pan that do bug me, it doesn't conduct heat as well as I thought it would. The pan is lighter than my old non-stick, and just like my old pans it has hot spots. I poured some egg whites into the pan, put the lid on and watched. One side of the pan cooked the eggs, the other side was completely raw (gas stove). Also, I expected to be able to cook at a lower temperature than I did before, but I have to turn the heat up to Med-Hi to cook pancakes or they come out pasty colored, not browned at all. I bought another set of cookware around the same time, used, from the well-known auction site, ebay, the Kirkland Stainless. Those pans are heavy like I expected this one to be. I use this pan more than any of my other pans, because I love the size so much, but I expected better from a $100 pan, considering that the whole set of Kirkland Stainless cost less, yes they were used, but they sparkled like new after washing with Barkeeper's Friend.

I needed a pan with which I could brown 3 or 4 pounds of meat and still have room to add other ingredients. The pan arrived 2 days ago & I have used it both nights for just that. The meat browned beautifully with no sticking; clean up was easy. I was concerned about that because I am used to non-stick cookware.

I love the fact that it is lightweight. I had expected a heavier pan. I recently had carpal tunnel surgery & do not yet have full strength in my hands. I was planning on getting a traditional sauté pan, but another reviewer pointed out that this pan can be centered in the oven. I like that.

The pan is sculpturally attractive, & that causes what I see as its only drawback the handles are almost sharp. A more rounded design would be more comfortable to lift & work with. I would recommend this pan. :-)

This pan is a powerhouse, if you will, and can handle and endure heavy use in the kitchen, which is why it is "commercial grade" in both name and quality.

I would recommend using only wooden spoons and spatulas in this pan. Pure virgin olive oil is the best to use to get the pan going when sautéing, but extra virgin oo is good for lighter cooking or when simmering. Using a wooden spatula (never metal) will keep things from sticking just fine -scrape when necessary w/ the wooden spatula. Do not forget to keep your wooden spatulas/spoons/cutting boards oiled too. (See my other reviews for suggestions on this topic)

Oil sprays are not necessary and only last so long anyway. This pan will become a valued partner in the kitchen. It is a joy to use knowing that you are using a high quality item. It is good to hand wash these pans and to use a little bit of "Bartenders Friend" to keep them shining like new. It is also good not to use high heat, but rather middle heat zones for smooth cooking.

The bottom line is that this pan is perfect, and beats a tephlon or other nonstick pan in durability without trouble. In addition, unlike the nonstick pans, you do not have to worry about scratching it, no peeling of the coating, and best of all no chemical concerns leaching into your food -there has been much debate/concern about this. I do not use nonstick pans for anything.

I hope this is helpful.

Cheers,

Neil

Thank you.

After 52 years of housekeeping, I have finally found the perfect cookware. This little pan is everything the company says it is:nothing sticks to it, it's level with even heating, it takes less electricity to cook with, it can be put in the dishwasher, and the handle really does stay cool, so I don't have to grab a potholder every time I touch it.It makes a perfect omelet.I won't be putting it in the dishwasher, though, because I use it so often that I have to keep washing it.I suffered with Revere Ware (wedding present) for years, finally moved to Calphalon, and am now moving the Calphalon to the garage. It's heavy, has lost its non-stick quality, and since the arrival of the Sitram frypan, has lost what was left of its charisma. The one Teflon pan I own has gone to the landfill.Because I live alone, this pan is just right for one pork chop, one chicken breast with mushrooms, one Egg Beaters omelet.I am ordering a larger frypan, a stewpot, and a saucepan. What a find!

I bought two of these pans in an attempt to stop using non-stick teflon for

health reasons, and I was also tired of having to discard my non-stick pans once the surface was ruined, even though the rest of the pan was ok. Sitram pans are not non-stick, and I have yet to 'season' them so that they perform as a non-stick pan.Consequently I ended up scrubbing them to get them clean, but they clean easily this way, so I am satisfied. As for using the pan, this pan does cook/fry/saute well, and conducts heat fast (even on an electric burner), so that I cook at a lower temperature than my all-clad non-stick pan. They are better quality than my all-clad pan.And as for others who had trouble getting the sticker off the bottom of the pan, try soaking it with lighter fluid (works best) or 3-in-1 oil (works ok), and it should peel off relatively easily.Cooks recommend seasoning a pan like this, which is probably something I should have done before using. To do this, add0.5 in or 1.5 cm of oil and a handful (lots) of (coarse if you have it) salt to the pan, and let rest overnight. Then heat on low heat on the stove or in the oven until the oil is very hot but not smoking.Leave the pan until almost cool, and then discard oil and salt.Wipe the pan dry.Once a pan is seasoned it should never be washed, just wiped out with a dishrag/cloth while still warm.

I have bought 6 Sitram kitchenware from Amazon during the last 5 years, because of the high quality construction and tubular handle, as pictured..

I returned this last product because although the Amazon picture is unchanged,,the product is being made quite differently, with a very uncomfortable flat handle.I believe Sitram has been bought by another company.

This is a great pan but way too heavy. I'm old. Things aren't as easy to lift anymore. No complaints other then that.

Chef King 7 Gauge Steel Griddle, 14 Inch x 23 Inch

Chef King 7 Gauge Steel Griddle, 14 Inch x 23 InchThis is the cooking tool I've been looking for!I have been updating my kitchenware for the past couple months, throwing out the cheap non-stick cookware and buying some shiny new stainless steel pots and pans.I spent lots of money on a full set of Demeyere Atlantis cookware and now I'm regretting the purchase of some of those items because of the utility I get out of this griddle.

I had so much fun cranking out pancakes with scrambled eggs for the whole familylike a pro plus I got to eat at the same time as everyone else, hot pancakes and eggs for dad! This was large enough that I could cook everything at the same time and not have to cook the food in batches.

This griddle is heavy duty as people say, it is 7 guage steel which seems equivalent if not thicker than the Demeyere 7-ply clad cookware. This means it's heavy and a pretty even distribution of heat even though I've got it on one large burner and one small burner on the stove inside. It's not perfectly distributing the heat, but much better than the Lodge cast iron I was previously using for pancakes. When I cook on the grill outside, this griddle is perfectly heated by the gas burners for a completely even cooking surface.

I love that this is NSF certified, and made in the USA for an extra comfort level that it is safe to eat from.

I have kept this griddle out on top of my stove because it doesn't quite fit inside the oven for storage. At first I was disappointed that it just barely by a fraction of an inch didn't fit in the stove, but now I find it very useful to just turn on a burner and cook what I need without having to bring out any pans.

After only 3 uses, it developed a nice black non-stick seasoning which is smoother than my 10 year old lodge cast-iron skillet. The other day I cooked some scrambled eggs and used a flat metal spatula to scrape every little bit of eggs off the griddle. No sticking, no mess and no wasted eggs!I then used a little oil on a paper towel to wipe off the surface and that was it, no need for any further cleaning.

I'm now looking at buying a heavy duty carbon steel fry pan because of this great experience with the griddle. I may even trade both in my shiny new stainless steel Demeyere skillet and my Lodge skillet for a carbon steel fry pan.I wish Chef King made a whole line of cookware!

I bought this griddle to replace several other griddles I had.The other griddles were not heavy enough, didn't get hot enough, the non-stick coating chipped and peeled, they did not fit over the stove burners and the handles got dangerously loose after use.The Chef King griddle is heavy, gets very hot, fits over the burners nicely and the handles feel very secure.Although this griddle does not have a non-stick surface, it is not hard to keep clean and maintain. I really enjoy cooking on it.I have not used it for outdoor cooking but can see how it would work out nicely there too. Very sturdy!

I have been looking for a flat bottom griddle this size for years. Most of the others in this range always have a raised grill on the other side but in addition to camping, I wanted to use this griddle over two elements of a flat top stove and with the very thick steel, it spreads heat evenly enough and sits perfectly flat. It is large enough to cook a big breakfast or a load of pancakes all at once. The raised sides are higher than most at 3/4" so keep slopping over the side to a minimum. It took seasoning well. Excellent griddle.

I've owned this griddle for a year or so...buy this, and you will never need to purchase another griddle again, ever!Everyone who sees mine asks,"Where did you get that!" It's like having a professional griddle covering my gas stovetop, like you might see at the neighborhood burger joint. It's incredible...it cooks perfectly...cleans up effortlessly...and is indestructable.I am actually amazed that this product is not sold in any store I've ever seen...it's not at Target...not at JCPenney's...not at Sears...not even at the higher priced cooking stores probably because once you purchase this, you won't ever need another one again, unlike the non-stick junk sold everywhere which gets easily damaged. It shouldn't be so hard to find chemical free cookware...but be happy when you do...this griddle is worth every penny!

I may be crazy, but I like stainless steel type cookware. Those non-stick pans end up scratching no matter how careful you are with them and your family ends up eating some of the coating.I am sure it cannot be good for you. This product is stainless steel. No coating you use OIL or BUTTER to keep the food from sticking.Yeh, I know that adds calories to the food. But, it is better than eating the coating from a non-stick pan.

That said, this grill is huge and heavy. It is used almost daily at my home and is holding up well.

If you are a wimp, do not buy this grill. It is very heavy, but, you can tell it will NEVER break. It hasn't warped or anything.Anyway, I like to find the positive in things. The weight has some advantages. If you can lift it...it makes an excellent weapon to hit people over the head with!

Hamilton Beach Premiere Cookware Electric Griddle

Hamilton Beach Premiere Cookware Electric GriddleI bought this griddle to replace my Presto 07039 Professional 22-Inch Jumbo Electric Griddle when the Teflon coating wore out after years of use. There are some things on this Hamilton Beach griddle that are better than the Presto, and some that are worse. I just received it yesterday and tested it out with a batch of bacon. If I come across any problems or revelations in the future I will come back and change my review.

PROS:

Splash guard This is a great innovation and it was the selling point for me. My old Presto griddle would leave a big mess on the counter and wall behind it when I cooked anything greasy. Since I used it for burgers and bacon more than anything else, there was always a mess to clean on the counter after using it.

Warming tray I must confess that I haven't used it yet, but I pulled it out to see how hot it gets. It just stayed "warm," as it should. I am looking forward to making pancakes for guests with this griddle so I can test that drawer. With the old Presto unit, I would have to leave pancakes wrapped in a couple layers of aluminum foil to keep them warm.

Large cooking surface It seems to be about equivalent to the Presto.

Large grease trap It looks small, but for the amount of bacon I cooked in my test run the Presto unit's grease trap would have been full and this trap was only half full. I do think that it might turn into a problem if I am cooking a large amount of burgers or bacon on it, and in those cases I will just remove it and put a disposable pie tin under the griddle, just like I did with the old one.

Strong handles with lock washers This is better than the Presto unit by a long shot. They are sturdy cast aluminum handles with lock washers and I expect them to last a long time. The Presto unit had cheap "bakolite" style plastic handles and they constantly had to be re-tightened. The only down side to metal handles is that they heat up, so you have to use oven mitts to move the unit while it is hot.

Great non-stick surface It is very slick, and seems to be well applied to the unit. I don't foresee it peeling or cracking any time in the near future. The Presto unit had more of a textured Teflon coating, and things did stick to it. Nothing is going to stick to this griddle.

Very secure thermostat housing It really locks into place, whereas the Presto one just slid in and didn't really lock.

Fully submersible Just like the Presto unit, everything but the thermostat unit is fully submersible, which makes cleaning very easy.

High edges all the way around I thought the edges were pretty good on the Presto, but these are even higher. That helps when picking up food, and keeps stuff from spilling onto the counter.

CONS

Uneven heating I put bacon across the entire cooking surface, and I could literally see stripes on the bacon where the heating elements are. Eventually, the whole batch of bacon cooked evenly, so perhaps I should have preheated it longer. On the Presto unit, I preheated it for just a couple of minutes and it cooked evenly every time. This unit is definitely inferior in that regard. It also took a lot longer to cook a batch of bacon than the Presto unit did at the same temperature setting, so it could be that the Presto unit's temperature indication was high or this one is low. It is going to require some adjusting either in the temperature or preheat time.

Cooking surface not tilted This might make it easier to cook eggs, pancakes, or anything else that might run, but it also keeps grease from running into to grease trap. To get grease into the trap, you have to tilt the griddle. If you read my comments above, you know that it has nice metal handles, so you need an oven mitt to grab the handle and tilt it. Also, if the grease trap already has some hot grease in it, tilting the unit could cause that grease to pour out of the grease trap. I will get by this problem by just setting the grease trap on the counter below the holes, rather than sliding it into the drawer slides.

Overall, I think I will be happy with this griddle, but there are a couple of areas that could have been improved and a couple of things I will need to get accustomed to.

My old electric non-stick griddle finally bit the dust, and I had to replace it pronto.I searched the internet for hours, and finally picked the Hamilton Beach Electric Griddle. Although it is not perfect, it is better designed and more attractive than many of the cheaper competitors. It has actual handles to move it when it is hot,and it has raised edges all around to prevent the grease from bacon or sausage to spill out on your counter top.I think that it is also one of the best looking units available. Grease drains through a hole to the grease trap underneath.I think that this unit is better than most of the cheaper brands out there.I am happy with it so far.

Flamekiss 12" Red Ceramic Coated Nonstick Wok by Amorè, Innovative & Elegant Design, Nano Ceramic

Flamekiss 12' Red Ceramic Coated Nonstick Wok by Amorè, Innovative & Elegant Design, Nano Ceramic Coating w/ Silver IonVery beautiful and good quality, in the first month, it really never stick, but unfortunately, after one months, when cook some food, such as frying toufu, some parts seems a little bit stick.

I bought this wok as a replacement for a regular nonstick wok and have been using it almost everyday since. Here is what I observed.

Pros:

Until now, the ceramic nonstick finish is still flawless at this point, while the previous ceramic pan we had had signs of wear already within the 1st month. (Admittedly we were more careful with this after our previous experience) My thoughts are since the previous onewas one of the 1st generation pans that showed up in the market, it seemed they have improved the toughness of the coating to last longer.

The weight is lighter than it looks. For its size it is not too heavy to be unwieldy when cooking stir fry or similar dishes. The handle has a solid feel thus you have a better grip when holding the pan.

The price at 40 USD for this type of pan is a steal. I have done some comparisons with other brands and most likely the reason for this being cheap it is relatively unknown brand at this time.

Cons

Does not work with induction stovetops. I am guessing its made purely of aluminum which is non magnetic. I would have liked this feature.

Does not come with a cover, thus will bump up the price overall if you intend to get one (and I do recommend getting their glass top as it fits the wok perfectly.

Overall I would recommend this wok.

I'm a big fan of ceramic cookware and have nearly replaced most of my skillets and small pots. This added the volume and depth I needed for sautéing veggies and other foods.

You can cook a lot healthier when you don't need non-sticking agents like butter or oil. Foods will stick eventually, it just means you let them dry out or over cook.

A nice, rich color red, too. Love it!

Emeril Cast Iron 10-Inch Square Grill Pan

Emeril Cast Iron 10-Inch Square Grill PanThis grill pan made my turkey burgers taste as though I had grilled them outdoors.

I have been looking for an alternative to the lightweight grill pans (which end up losing their coating and subsequently start sticking) and my George Foreman grill (which is an older model and so frustrating to clean because of the non-removable grills) and decided to try Emeril's grill pan. I just finished my first experiment with it....simple grilled chicken breasts.....and I have to say I am thrilled with the pan. I have a ceramic cooktop and the grill heated up very nicely so that when I put the chicken breasts into the pan, they immediately started to sizzle. The chicken did not stick at all and came out beautifully with perfect grill marks on each side. I am still letting it cool off since it retains its heat for a long time, so can't report on the cleaning process, but it says to wash with hot water only and a stiff brush. The only downside is the weight of the pan, but that's to be expected from any cast iron pan. In my younger days it wouldn't have mattered but I have to use two hands to lift the pan comfortably...not a big deal!

This cast iron grilling-cooking pan is terrific! Received it as a bonus gift and love it. In our home, we've cooked with cast iron all of our lives and this is THE BEST cast iron skillet I've used.

Pros: Wavy grill bottom to pan that creates grill marks using indoor heat source and creates more surface for other dishes--just cooked cornbread dressing in the pan and it browned dressing nicely

Great price at ~$28

Cleans up easily--it was no problem to clean the first time, although I did "season it" before first use

You can authentically shout "BANG" when you cook!

Cons: Very heavy skillet which is bulky to handle and clean

Dense, so the heating time is longer that thinner cast iron skillets and may take longer overall for your recipe to cook

I bought this pan because I trusted Emeril. I didn't think he would associate his name with any inferior product. Well, I was wrong. This skillet just does not deliver no matter what you do, and I have ruined my last expensive steak with this hunk of junk. Oh, and it weighs a TON.

First off, it never seems to get hot enough no matter how long or how slowly you heat it. And if it does, it somehow manages to boil the meat in its own juices! So mystified was I by this phenomenon that I actually studied it like a science project, taking notes. Here's what I've concluded: The raised grill grates are so thin and spaced so far apart that the meat gets practically no contact with hot metal at all. So, no way are you ever going to get a seared steak in this pan. Instead, the heat from the gutters (in between the grill grates) draws the juices from the meat and boils them. This in turn creates hot steam. So what you get is a very tough piece of steamed meat, with skinny grill marks, that's had all the juices sucked out of it. Yummy, huh? Now, if I can figure this out why couldn't the geniuses that designed this pan? Did they think we wouldn't notice? It's just a design failure, pure and simple. Emeril, you should be ashamed of yourself. I think your incessant self-promotion has led you far astray. Buyer beware. Don't buy this skillet!
