I'm in a process of ridding my kitchen of all Teflon pans.I wanted a large cast iron pan in my collection but my glass cooktop would not permitt... until I found lines of enamel coated cast iron pots and pans.However, most the prices were out of my budget range.That's when I ran into this great deal. I have been using this pan for over a month and I love it! (still getting use to the extra weight associated with all cast iron cookware).$40.00 and free shipping. . .two thumbs up as a GREAT BUY.
Every household should have at least on cast iron pan. This is why; they are great for searing meats: steaks, burgers, tuna steaks and the like. Bacon in the morning: Somehow bacon cooks up well in this pan, probably because of the even heat distribution and retention. Anyways, this is a good sear pan. My only criticism is the inside surface is gritty, so it is not good for cooking eggs or pancakes. These items tend to break-up when you try to flip them. This is not a good general purpose pan, consider it a specialty pan. But what it does it does well!

I got this at a local shop specializing in close outs for $25.This was an absolute steal, probably the buy I have had all year.This is a very heavy enameled cast iron pan in a pretty red.The pan is a very thick cast iron with a thick handle.It easily weights more than similar LC, Staub, Lodge pans.It has a much needed helper handle.The inside is a black enamel that easily washes up and you don't have to worry about re-seasoning it.(you do have to season the rim, which is no big deal).I cannot speak for longevity yet, but this one cooks wonderfully, nice and even.I bought one and was so impressed I went back and bought the next size up.Get one while you can!

I have never had so much difficulty cleaning a pan after cooking scrambled eggs!Food clings to this pan with impressive tenacity.The interior of this pan is very rough and the material is not smooth at all.This is in no way a non-stick pan, in spite of the porcelain enamel coating.
After spending more time cleaning the pan than cooking scrambled eggs and eating them, I will in the future use this pan only for cooking food that is very unlikely to stick.
I bought a Bialetti Aeternum pan at the same time, and I'm very happy with the Bialetti.
Maybe my pan is defective, and not actually enameled?I have a Tramontina dutch overn that has a white enamel interior, and it works great.This Tramontina saute pan has a black interior, so maybe the factory forgot to enamel this pan....

Nice griddle but the center is higher than the edges.No, I did not overheat it.So when you pour on eggs or something liquid, it runs out to the corners.
The Teflon portion as well as the aluminum bottom is very nice and well woth the small investment, however, the handles seem to get loose too much. I have to tighten regularly
This griddle was bought as replacement for another that was losing its non-stick coating. I was disappointed that this one was smaller. It is advertised as 10 1/4 inches, but this is OUTSIDE measurement. My old one is 10 1/4+ on the INSIDE. Inside measure is ~ 9 3/4 inches, a tight fit for 4 burgers, which the old one handled easily.
The non-stick feature seems sturdy, and did 2 burgers with minimal clean-up.
The griddle is 'handle-heavy'. When I put it on to heat before adding food, it wanted to tip toward the handle.
I'll probably keep it, but I don't consider it a suitable replacement and haven't tossed the old one yet. It will handle light duty well. I've only used it a couple of times, but haven't noticed any warping. Sometimes if aluminum is cooled too quickly (thrust under cold water when very hot), it can warp. This one is light enough, this could easily happen.Great non-stick griddle. The cooking surface is HUGE, and my grilled cheese sandwiches are the best in town! EASILY cleaned.I am enjoying this pan and believe it will serve me well. However I thought I was getting a pan with the red ready indicator in the center and I did not. The key I believe is to not cook above Medium heat. I had used non stick pans at much higher heat in the past and I blame their breakdown on that mistake. So for the two months I have owned this pan I am happy with it.

I bought this pot to replace my previous one that was very unreliable, and so far, this pot has been working perfectly. Once the lid was even dropped on the floor, and it didn't break. Not bad, huh?I think I am going to order a couple more for Thanks Giving, two for myself, one for mom, and one for grandma. They'd love it.
I recently broke the glass lid on a still perfectly good 11 inch frying pan.When I went to the local stores here, I found I couldn't locate a lid without a pan.And as it turns out, you can't find all that many pans that come with lids to begin with.For some reason a lot of frying pans are sold as is, without an cover.Which to me is like selling someone a car without any doors on it.But sometimes you seem to run into that catch 22 situation with certain items.When I came here to Amazon, I not only couldn't find an 11 inch glass lid, but the ones I did find that were a little bigger or smaller were easily $20 or more.Moving up to a new pan with lid easily doubled that amount.When I came across this stainless steel set, I realized that this just may be the best bargain around for a new lid, with a bonus pan along with it.As for the pan itself, it doesn't disappoint.Its a good solid stainless steel with a nice handle, and a perfectly fitting quality lid.It's not the best lid or pan one could own, but certainly a bargain for the price for both.Although I agree with some of the other reviewers here that state that they received a tapered edged pan rather than the one picture, ( I did as well ), it worked put perfectly for me since my other pan is a straight edged one.The lid fits them both just right, and I have a new pan to go with the old one.This pan with lid is not only a quality set for the price, but also ships for free when bundled at the time of this writing.Whether you are in the market for a new lid at this size, or a decent quality set at a great price, I recommend this Gourmet Chef model.Believe me when I tell you they are hard to find even just for one piece alone at this price...

A perfectly good steel pan at the price except the handle broke while cooking. Amazon replaced it but then sent conflicting messages. The first said throw the old one out, your replacement is free. OK, done. Then I started getting messages to return the old one or I would be charged for two pans. My emails to Amazon were not answered. Finally I found a number for a real human who apparently saw the contradictory emails and let me off the hook. A lot of hassle from Amazon for nothing.

This has most of the features I wanted: extra handle so you can use two hands to lift it when full, non-stick interior, even heat base, glass lid so I can see the progress of the cooking.I do wish it had the red dot in the center to tell me when the pan is properly preheated.You need to use plastic or wooden spoons or stirers with this surface.This is a great pan for those of us who are not cookware snobs. If you go in with high expectations you might be disappointed; this is not a $100 pan and it shouldn't be compared to one. Yes, it is a little thinner and lighter than a top-of-the line cookware product, but so what. It works great and is perfect for everyday use. It is very versatile from frying eggs to cooking several pieces of chicken at the same time. It is very roomy in diameter and depth. The lighter weight of the pan makes it not too heavy to lift when food is in it. It cooks surprisingly evenly and because it is lighter weight, you can cook at a lower temperature = less electricity or gas = saving $$. The lid is a great addition to keep things warm and having two handles makes lifting very easy. There have been absolutely no problems with this nothing broken, nothing coming loose. The handles are riveted so there is nothing to come unscrewed. My only recommendation is to follow the instructions that come with it. Don't use metal or hard plastic utensils that will scratch, don't use scouring pads, and don't soak it with dishwasher detergent, which eats at the coating. I ordered this off Amazon because I had a gift card and got free shipping, but this pan is available in stores too. If you live in the Midwest, Meijer sells it for $25 and a couple weeks ago I noticed it on sale for $20. 4/30/2011Pan is very thin walled and light feeling. After washing the pan the first time, I seasoned it as instructed. Used it four times on our glass flat top electric stove. Never high heat. Always hand washed. Never put it in dishwasher or used it in the oven, even though you can. By the fourth time using it, it had warped badly enough that it no longer sat flat on the stove and rocked quite a bit when stirring or even touching the handle. No other pan I've ever owned has done that. Returned it. Bought a T-Fal Signature Hard Anodized 10-Inch Skillet with Glass Lid here on Amazon to replace it. The new one has quite a bit heavier construction and heft. Expecting this one to hold up.

I love this pan! I've been cooking for a living for more than 25 years and this is one of the best teflon pans I've ever used. Nice heavy aluminum, not one that feels like it was made out of a pop can. Handle feels very strong and is comfortable to grip. Made my husband fried eggs without using any grease and the eggs came out perfect. You taste the eggs not the grease. It came clean with just a quick wipe. The enamel on the outside is beautiful,shading from light to deep blue. I am looking forward to getting more of this cookware.

I hardly ever do reviews on Amazon, but I'm doing this to save you the disappointment I have experienced.I got this skillet in December 2011 (not through Amazon).I used the skillet with extreme caution so as not to damage the inside.I have used these types of skillets as long as they have been made and until now got years of service out of them.I NEVER put it or for that matter any metal skillet or pan in the dishwasher or used a metal utensil in it.After no more than 6 uses, the inside coating started peeling out in chunks up to 1 inch.
I contacted the company and was told I had to ship it to them (me paying for the shipping).They would then review the product and determine then if they would replace or if it had not been taken care of properly.I was also told it could take up to 12 weeks before I may receive a replacement.So I'm without a big skillet for that long--I only have 1 12-1/2 inch skillet.Would they actually replace?Who knows...I have spent all the money that I ever will on Rachel Ray products.No Rachel Ray for me and I would highly recommend you purchase something besides Rachel Ray, unless you like to gamble or wish to make an investment in the product (initial purchase, shipping fees to return and maybe get a replacement and be without a skillet while they decide if they will replace it).

Wanted this set...but when I saw the saute pan I couldnt resisit.I thought that the pan would have come with a top, but I guess I have to wait for the full set.Otherwise I love the color, this one is a two toned blue, some are just plain ole blue so it gives it a bit more of a design instead of boring blue.The pan is a bit heavy, but my hands arent that great due to sickness but I manage.Pan is great, non-stick, none of the color fading or washing off.Would buy other sets, if she came out with a lightweight set I would love it also.Want Rachael Ray Porcelain Enamel II Nonstick 12-1/2-Inch Skillet Discount?
First I would say this pan is a pan. It is coated with teflon and works wonders. It is a bit oversized compared to the standard 12 in pan and makes me that much happier.I like the high sides and makes it that much easier to cook with. The teflon seems very durable and should last a long time.
The rivets are not coated and things can accumulate around them. Just clean around the rivets and you should be fine.
The paint job on this looks awesome...a two tone color that really looks nice...unless you got the one I did. I got one with a nick in it and someone had the nerve to color over it with a blue marker.
I have used this numerous times so far. It works great and as described. I can see the bottom wearing off first, then maybe the teflon over normal or high use.
With the price and happiness it has brought me so far, I would recommend it to all!
UPDATE 1/30/13: I would say that though this pan is still a nice pan, it doesn't seem to hold well with use. The Teflon already has scratches in it where other brands I use do not. It seems that the Teflon isn't as thick as others that I have. I would say long term, it may not hold up as long as I would have expected.
Flip Jack Pan
I have seen the ads on TV saying just how good this thing is so, when I found one at a local Walgreen's, I bought it.I used it a couple of times and, as of today, I tossed it in the recycler because it is useless.OK, the good news is that it cooks well and I never had a problem with food sticking BUT to keep it from sticking you HAVE to apply some cooking spray to both pans before you start to heat them.
The bad news is just about everything else.First and foremost--it leaks.When you try to flip the pan over if there is anything that is even slightly liquid inside it will leak out the joint between the pans.It could be egg white or batter, if it is still liquid it will leak.Second, and something that the commercials never mention, you cook in the lower pan while the upper pan is still upright.You close the upper pan and flip the thing over.Now you have to wait while the (used to be) upper pan heats up and begins to cook.Also, in the commercial they show a woman blowing on a pancake to make it slide out of the pan and it is nowhere near that easy.While the food doesn't stick badly, it often has to be gently nudged to make it slide out.This needs to be re-engineered so that the edges of the pans overlap rather than just meeting.That would help stop the leaking.The heating of the second pan is something we would just have to live with.Do I recommend it?Absolutely not!
I bought this hoping that it would be good at making eggs over easy.Unfortunately, it's not so good.The non-stick just doesn't work and the eggs end up stuck to the upper lid of the pan.Even after i seasoned it like the instructions say.Eggs definitely don't slip around the pan as in the commercial.Well it's only $20.i'll try it using cooking spray.

Having used it for a few weeks now, I've figured a few things out.First, I have to use cooking spray.Without question.And I need to spray it on while the pan is cold.Spraying it on when hot just makes a mess.Second.I need to flip the pan and pre-heat the top before putting anything in it.Third, I think this pan will completely fail when the hinge fails.It's made with very small rivets.They don't look like they will stand up to a lot of use or abuse.So I think there is a life expectancy that I have to look forward to.I followed their seasoning instructions and tried to fry some eggs. I had to use a spatula and they still stuck to both sides.

I was very excited when I bought this, but upon getting it home I realized it had to be seasoned just like any cast iron skillet. When did nonstick surfaces need to be seasoned? It was also cheaply built. Upon cleaning after seasoning it, the rivets on one handle popped loose and the handle was floppy after one cleaning.
When I finally did test it out by cooking eggs, upon flipping it over, not only did the eggs stick to the top I now had a real mess as i had eggs on top and on bottom. I grabbed a plastic spatula to slide the remaining egg into my old cast iron skillet and had to actually scrape to get the egg from the orgreenic pan. They were not burned they were just stuck to it as they would have been to a non greased iron pan. I finished cooking the mess in my properly seasoned cast iron skilled, to which they did not stick, and tossed the Orgreenic pan in the trash.This was an awful experience from the ordering process to my attempt to cancel.When ordering, either online or by phone, I was asked for credit card information before I was even given a final price.I did order online and after completing my order, was informed to "allow 3 to 6 weeks for delivery".Since I was not willing to wait that long to get the product, I tried to cancel so I could purchase the item at a local store.I was told by customer service that the order took 48 hours to show up on their system and I should call back in a day or two.When I called back two days later, I was told that the product had already shipped and I would need to reject it when it was delivered.Tracking the item online is impossible.
I did purchase the Flip Jack Pan a a local store and am very sorry that I did.I seasoned the pan as instructed and it ended up gooey, like when you use a spray oil on a non-stick pan.And, after seasoning, as other reviewers said, eggs stuck to the pan.I much prefer a similar product called Green Pan (it is grey in color) which I have used for many months with great satisfaction.

This grille cycles on and off gets to temperature quickly and then cycles off.I kept track of the time it was "off" and it was 1 minute, 7 seconds.By that time, the food had cooled and was not cooking properly.I already returned one of these thinking it was defective, but the replacement does the same thing.Not a good purchase for me.

Nordic Ware 12 Inch Wok with Helper Handle
this thing is huge! because it has a slightly flatter bottom than most woks, it can hold more! which comes in handy when my boyfriend is making his fried rice for me and all of my family!although i received the first one with a deep scratch in the non-stick, Amazon quickly and easily replaced it.. the second one had tiny scratches around the top edge of the wok, but nothing that would deter cooking in it so i kept it. makes me wonder if that's why they had these "on sale" but still, it's a great wok.
There must be a reason why I bought the exact same Wok after my original one was accidentally scratched up with a knife...
I do everything in it: boil pasta, mix cookie dough (it doesn't stick--so although there isn't any delicious cookie dough, cleaning up is a breeze), stir-fry vegetables...The flat part on the bottom is good for electric stovetops; the curves are curvy enough to make stirring simple.Plus, I respect the Nordic Ware company--not made overseas!

This wok is about as good as it gets for the price. Well-made and solid feel makes this a versatile favorite for cooking many family meals. Quality Deep wok/pan is a good size for family or someone that entertains. It is big (7-quart capacity), but easy to cook with flat bottom making it stable on stove. Non stick coating is easy to clean. Had this for almost 5 years and buying another one. Need to replace since Teflon/non-stick is beginning to wear and scratch, but we use it a lot (3-4 + times a week on average) with a family of five. We lucked out and had a Calphalon pan lid match perfectly, making it even more versatile (Best Pop corn pan ever). I thought the pan was too thin and might not be able to withstand high heating, but I was wrong.I have been using it since I got it and it has been wonderful each time. I have several woks to choose from, but this one is my favorite.I have a large family and I cook dinner 6-7 times a week as well as being in the kitchen a lot on weekends.I used it mainly for stir frying and deep frying, like eggrolls and fried chicken.It is a deep pan.One can fill a lot of vegetables and meat in it.I don't recommend metal utensils just because it can scratch it.I want to preserve my pan for as long as possible.It is a wonderful wok and works better than I originally thought it would.Want Nordic Ware 12 Inch Wok with Helper Handle Discount?

Lodge Tempered Glass Lids
It looks like a very nice lid. Attractive. well-made, and came very well packed.Unfortunately, even though the listing says "Fits standard Lodge 12 inch dia pans," it does not. We made the "mistake" of buying the Lodge P12S3 cast iron skillet, and the lid rides on TOP of the skillet rim, not down in the skillet. We bought a 10" model, and the same thing occurs for the 10" model. I don't know what Lodge considers "standard Lodge 12 inch dia pans," but it is surely not the 12" skillet that we ordered and received. This is probably more of a criticism of Amazon and their listing than the product, but we unfortunately don't have a skillet that it DOES fit, so we have no way to tell. We have been very happy with Lodge skillets over the years.

We bought "Lodge Pro-Logic Pre-Seasoned 10-Inch Skillet" Model P10S3. We bought cover GC10 because it says that it "Fits standard Lodge 10.25 inch dia pans." It doesn't fit.

I bought this lid along with a cast iron lid for my skillets.I use this lid when cooking something I need to keep a close eye on so I don't have to keep picking up the lid as I would with the cast iron lid.The lid is built with metal ring around the edge to prevent chipping and provide for a good fit.It fits the skillet perfectly.Nice and light which is a benefit over the cast iron lid.It is rated to use in the oven (to a certain temp), however when using the pan in the oven, I use the cast iron lid.The only downside I can note is that the glass lid is made in China vs the cast iron lid (and skillets) being made in the USA.This may or may not be an issue for you but other posters had mentioned it so I'm throwing it in.Read Best Reviews of Lodge Tempered Glass Lids Here

This is an excellent lid.I like stainless steel around the edges of the lid. This keeps the lid edges from chipping or cracking. I am using this lid for pan made by another vendor.
