All-Clad Stainless 11-Inch Nonstick French SkilletMy husband begged to replace our non-stick skillet, so we decided to spend the extra money and buy our second all-clad skillet. I wasn't sure about the higher sides in the French-style skillet, but now that we have it, I realize it makes the skillet far more versitle. We've had it for 3-4 months and use it at least 3 times a week. It has become our kitchen work horse.

I owned this pan for almost 9 month and the nonstick portion went bad from washing it etc. However I brought back to the store and since they have a lifetime warranty the store exchanged it for me for a new pan.Can't beat that?

I have had several non stick all clad pans.Over the years, I have returned them under warranty.It takes them 6-8 weeks to evaluate your pan for any returns.The most recent pan I returned as it was sticking terribly was in November.Four months later, I still do not have a replacement, and am getting no where with customer service.Be sure you get a confirmed delivery as well, they said they did not receive my pan at all until I provided the USPS delivery confirmation that I paid for in addition to sending the pan back. All Clad agrees the pan should be replaced, but four months later no pan.Do yourself a favor, save your money and get something else in the non stick pan class.The warranty is almost useless at this point, and after a few years, even with no dishwasher, wooden utensils and care, they will stick.

I purchased a 10 piece set on December 09, 2012.Suppose to come with promo gift of lasagne pan, mitts, and cook book.Been in touch with rebate center and Al Clad and they both blame each other.As it turns out rebate center wants to have me call them every 10 days since December because they are on back order. Wouldn't it be better customer service if they gave me a status update every 10 days via email!?!While I enjoy my new pots and pans I will tell you the customer service is terrible at Al Clad.It definitely isn't an inventory problem on their part. They just blame it on China.

Calphalon Tri-Ply Stainless 3-Quart Sauté Pan with Glass LidUnfortunately, this pan is no longer sold as an open stock item, and can only be found in sets, such as the 8and 13piece sets. Fortunately, I was able to buy it from a Marketplace seller for a very agreeable amount of $50.However, I do see that Amazon is selling it for $150, which is vastly inflated, but takes into account the fact that it can't be obtained without buying the 13 piece, $399 set.

This pan is just the right size for sauteeing, stir frying, you name it. It's not huge like it's big brother, the 5 qt. saute pan, but is suited to most normal cooking. The walls are deep enough to contain many dishes, which is nice.It's a bit heavy to hold one-handed (better for those fore-arm muscles!), and I appreciate the addition of a small handle on the other side.

Of most importance is its lid, for some reason, which Calphalon does not sell separately. It can fit snugly over this pan, the wok, the 10" omelette pan, AND the 8 qt. stockpot. Hey, it even fits some of my old pots as well. Thus, increasing the worth of this item.

Really, a terrific addition to any kitchen.

A note about cleaningafter extended use, there will be tarnishing and brown blemishes (at least on my gas range).To get rid of these, do NOT use Bon Ami because it's too gentle and doesn't get rid of stains.Best way to go is Barkeeper's Friend, about $2.50 at your local supermarket, or Cameo Stainless Steel Cleaner.However, Cameo is more abrasive than Barkeeper's Friend, and WILL reduce the mirror polish of these pans.Barkeeper's is the way to goremember to ALWAYS rub in a circular mannerback and forth will scratch the surfaces.

Just picked up this pan open-stock at Ross for $34 (5th Jan 2012).Cooked up a Thai Chicken Red Curry in it on the stovetop.Have to agree that the handle is somewhat skinny when trying to lift a full pan (don't try it unless you want the whole meal on the floor) but then again it does have the extra helper handle to make it a little easier to move about.Love that the lid can go in the oven.

Item was shipped and recieved as stated. Heft and finish are as good as expected. We pruchased this because of recommendations from a Consumer Report magazine artical. Have only used it twice, but it browns meats more evenly and quicker as compared to my coated skillets. Glad I purchased it. The reciept included with my purchase was hand signed with a "Thank You for doing business with us". That doesn't happen very much.

I assumed that this was an unopened new product and nothing from the sellers page leads us otherwise. It certainly looked new or possibly a returned item.It was not shipped in original packaging (just stuffed in a box wrapped with paper and labeled fragile).I purchased the accompanying 10" omelet pan at the same time, from a different seller, and it arrived in original packaging.

Otherwise, this pan looks perfectly good to my eyes.

And it arrived much sooner than expected!

My brother gave us this for Christmas. At first, I was pretty disappointed if only because a pair would make more sense for a family of four. This pan is not very large and at this price, why not splurge? However, this is a fantastic pan for pancakes. It heats quickly, it makes one fast, fluffy, huge pancake at a time, it's a breeze to clean, and it's sort of funny!Also the potholder is useful when I use my "real" pans.

I've used this twice now and have been impressed....it's just like the restaurants.

I always make sure the vegetables are not fully cooked because they will cook in the fajita skillet, since it gets so hot.

Charolles 26cm Shabu Shabu Pan

Charolles 26cm Shabu Shabu Panworks good maintains the temperature better then a regular pot for Shabu Shabu slightly expensive though. Stainless Steeleasy t o clean.

2/21/12 I've used this now for Shabu Shabu a number of times, and I must say that my only complaint is that I'd like it to be slightly larger, but that's really not the fault of the pan, but more how much crap I throw in the pan when I make it, so this is an individual difference that shouldn't apply to the rating of the pan. Also, because the pan has an opening in the middle to allow heat to pass through the pan, it does make it slightly difficult to get solid items out if you don't have the right kind of spoon.

However, with all that said, this is a great and attractive pan for use with Shabu Shabu or Sukiyaki. Purchase without hesitation. I marked my review up from 4 stars to 5, especially considering the other pans out there look like doodoobutt.

7/16/11 Have yet to use this pan, but since there was a lack of reviews, thought that I would share what I thought about this pan. First, the instructions are in Japanese. Second, the pan is relatively nice, but a little light. I'm not sure how well it will retain heat, but it shouldn't be too much of an issue. It does have metal handles on both the lid and the pan itself. They aren't super cheap, but they aren't also super heavy. This pan seems to be pretty middle of the road in terms of quality. Berndes SignoCast Classic 13-Inch SkilletBerndes makes the best non-stick skillets you'll ever use.Before ordering this one, make sure you really want the 13-inch model.It is HUGE.Really huge.Go to a store and make sure that this is really the size you want.Other than the enormous size, this thing is perfect.Perhaps the large size is what you're looking for, but not for me.

I am so happy with my choice. The last non-stick pan I had was warped, thin, and scarred. Everything stuck to it and it probably seeped toxic chemicals. So it took a while to decide to order this one, and even longer because I was afraid it would be too big, as some of the reviews implied. In the end, I decided to trust Susan V. of the Fat-Free Vegan Kitchen, who loves everything about this pan, including its 13-inch diameter. Most skillets I've owned have been slightly annoying because they're never quite big enough for whatever I want to cook in them. This one has enough room to cook two separate items (e.g. heat two veggie burgers and toast the buns--two tops and two bottoms--at the same time) and big enough to hold a large recipe of anything. The size would be even better if the sides of the skillet were a half to one inch higher, but I'm learning to be more careful in how I move the food around while cooking.The most surprising feature of this pan is its engineering--I don't know what else to call it. For its size, it is light weight, but the walls are thick and smooth. I didn't realize before that most of my cookware has "hot spots" where the food tends to burn first. This pan has no hot spots, and even when I turn the (gas) heat up to full throttle, the food cooks evenly. It produces nicely crisped food (made sauteed tempeh last night) on high heat without burning. My main reason for wanting a non-stick pan was for no-fat cooking, and this one is magic--all those foods that stick in other pans, even when I use oil, come out perfectly in this one, even when the pan is completely dry. And cleaning is a snap. Mostly I can give the pan a quick rinse and all food traces are gone, but if there's any residue from cooking, it comes off with a soft sponge (not a scrubby), soap and water. I have just ordered Berndes 13-Inch Glass Lid because my only means of covering a pan of this size is a large cookie sheet, and it's not ideal. So save yourself time and order the skillet and glass top at the same time.

I have a number of Berndes products and have been impressed with all of them.This SignoCast skillet is wonderful.The non-stick coating really worksfor everything.I've used it for meat, eggs, gravy and sauces and nothing sticks.It heats evenly and sits flat on the burner.This pan is LARGE but that's another reason I like it.If you don't want something this big, there are smaller sizes that might work better for you.A great product!

I cook on this thing about 3x's/day and the pan and coating are so poorly made it did not hold up. The coating is so thin that after a few uses you begin to see color changes in this product and over a period of a year it is complete garbage because everything is sticking to this!!!

Sorry to say but this item did not last long enough to justify the price of this thing.

I have seen all the glowing reviews on this product and wonder if any of these people work for the company? This is why I initially purchased my two pans due to all the glowing reviews but it is not worth it. Don't ask me what is worth it because at this point I do not know but do your research well.

For me that pan did not hold up and is poorly made no matter what the reviews say, it is one step up from the Target garbage with a fancy name and place it is made but nothing more from all I saw!!

If you want the best in non-stick cooking, this is it! It's about 4mm thick, cast aluminium which means it will brown food just like cast iron.

I cooked a ribeye on it, just added generous pinch of salt/pepper and rubbed it with oil. Heated the pan and rubbed it with oil also. 3 minutes per side and i got a very good crust, and a medium rare in the middle.

I cooked eggs in it, made pancakes, steaks, meatballs, even pasta with flour based sauce. Nothing sticks.

I do recomend you pickup a lid for this. Like other person said, the pan is true 13 inches, but remember this is a skillet, and you want it to be shallow and have as much cooking surface as possible :)

Fitx-All Replacement Pan HandleWhen a handle broke on a fry pan that saw daily use for more than 25 years, I looked for a replacement.How disappointing to find that this Fitz-All handle is the only one on the market!I didn't realize how nice the original handle was until I replaced it with this lightweight, flimsy handle.But that's not the problem the problem is that it broke after only a couple of months.I bought a second one, which lasted seven months, and now I've ordered a third one.These handles apparently just can't stand up to the heat they start showing cracks and then break.When I get the new one, I plan to put it on a deeper pan to keep it farther from the heat source.Also, I don't use the deep pan very often, so maybe the handle will last longer.

The Fitx-All are too poorly made to last any time.Aluminum screw included in package was too small and even if it did fit is too soft metal to tighten properly.The Fitx-All lid knobs broke in half when tighten down on the lid. If you do purchase these handles expect it to be quite temporary and disappointing.I do not trust these handles and will not put them on large fry pan or pots where they could break with hot food in them.

The other reviews are entirely correct.These handles are terrible in that the handle breaks very easily and the screw does not keep the handle in place.Really deserves zero stars.

6 Mini Doughnut Maker

6 Mini Doughnut MakerJust purchased my donut maker a couple of days ago and love it. Definitely use a ziploc bag and notch one of the corners out to fill each donut holder (like a pastry bag). Do not try to measure the 2 T. they recommend. Fill each up but do not overfill (just below the edge about 1/4 or so from the top works). I sprayed the unit with cooking spray like "Pam" after each batch and used a wooden chopstick to remove the donut after cooking. The metal fork that comes with it could scratch the unit. The recipes that came with the instructions are okay. The spice one is the best. If using a box mix the donuts are too light and fluffy but they come out looking great with some icing and sprinkles. A simple recipe I use for plain donuts is: 1c. flour, 1t. baking powder, 1/2t. salt, 2 eggs, 2/3c. sugar, 1/4c. milk. Combine ingredients and beat 1 minute with electric mixer. Put in ziploc bag and you're ready to make donuts. I used the Vanilla Frosting recipe in the instruction booklet and added 1T. pureed strawberries to it yummy!! Frost when they are semi-warm not hot! Makes 24. My donuts cooked in 2 minutes so watch them closely. One side of donut is lighter than the other but if you're frosting it you won't notice. The unit cleans up nicely, when cool I just wipe with a towel.

We had an old Daisy Donut Machine when I was a little girl in the 70's.I wasn't sure this little machine had the quality to produce good results, but I was pleasantly surprised.The non-stick finish is excellent, so the donuts are easy to remove after baking.The ready light is very handy. The unit is small but makes six donuts at a time, so it doesn't take long to produce lots of yummy donuts (ours cooked in about 3 1/2 minutes per batch.)The helpful tip to put the batter in a Ziploc bag with the corner snipped off worked great.

This machine makes baking so fast and simple. Easy to bake without heating up the entire house and the clean up is even easier! I would suggest investing in a piping tip. I just used a ziploc bag and then cut a hole but I think having a piping tip would make it cleaner. The machine does exactly what it says, 3-5 minutes and the little delicious goodness is done. Highly recommend this product!

This donut maker is very quick, but it browns unevenly, with either cake-type batter or yeast batter. And the tiny donuts are VERY small. Really a novelty item.

This device is fantastic. Where else can I make a tasty and eye-catching treat to share with friends and family in 5 minutes or less?And minimal cleanup!!I did not encounter any problem with the bottoms being dark and the tops light--this can be solved by: 1) making sure enough batter is in each mold; and 2) just before light comes on to signal "ready," open lid and quickly flip doughnuts w/ a toothpick or wood skewer and bake another minute. Mine have come out perfectly each time. I'm not crazy about the recipes that came with the Babycakes Donut Maker--found better ones online with more flavor. BTW, I have bought 3 more as gifts...

Scanpan Professional 10.25 inch Square Grill PanI'm a loyal Scanpan user, but whatever you do, DON'T BUY THIS PAN.I've had it for 3 months, and already food sticks to the ridges. I've followed the directions very carefully and have used nothing abrasive on it.When I wrote to Scanpan to complain, the customer service rep gave me a long and tortured process to "restore" the pan.Restore?Really?The pan is 3 months old.Plus, their customer service is the pits I think it's outsourced to Asia which would be fine except that the response was scripted and off point.Save yourself a headache and buy another brand.



After reading a lot of reviews I decided to buy it, I have a few Scanpan fry pans which I love, live in a condo and BBQ is not allowed so I've tried so many options, Prolodge cast iron(good but hard to clean and makes the apt very smoky) and so far this is the closet to an outdoor grill, use it to grill steaks ( fits 2 10-12 oz strip loins, 2 or 3 burgers) and it's soo easy to clean, when still warm wipe it down with paper towel and when it cools down wash it it hot running water, it does not stick at all! it doesn't make the place too smoky. If you use common sense to use it it will last long and if something goes bad with the one I have I'd buy it again, nothing lasts forever!

Maybe it's that I'd never owned a grill pan, but I love this one. I love the taste of a steak or chicken on the grill, but don't always want to deal with the bbq. This pan is designed to take the heat needed to sear meet and impart that char flavor and it's non-stick so it's easy clean up. I'm very please and would recommend this product to friends and family.

Le Creuset Enameled Cast-Iron 9-Inch Skillet with Iron Handle, MarseilleI'm a huge fan of Le Cruest's products and own a few well chosen pieces. Having said that, this new satin finish is a disappointment. I was given this a gift a year ago and was thrilleduntil I used it.

I really wish they'd go back to their original smooth enamel finish. This must be an attempt to produce an interior more durable for using metal utensils with. An attempt that in my opinion is a failure. Things (like eggs and hamburgers) stick to this finish. You have to use a lot more fat to prevent sticking. It's hard to get clean, takes quite a bit of scrubbing even after soaking. It doesn't give the finish to grilled meats, etc that I want from a fry pan. Forget deglazing it to make a sauce. I find my All Clad 9 inch skillet to be a superior performer to this one.

Since this is a 9 inch skillet, I haven't used it to saute onions, etc., so I can't say how it performs with these items.

I do use it to make cornbread and to roast small portions of meats or veg in the oven, with good results (as long as I'm not going to use the browned bits to make a sauce). This to me though, is not enough uses to justify buying it.



I got this pan last spring and I really enjoy using it. I have not had the sticking problems that other people mention. I have made omelettes in it using spray-on oil and they have not stuck at all. Have used the skillet to cook bacon and sausage as well, again with no sticking. I do use a lower heat with this skillet ... it works much better if you do NOT turn the heat on high.

I have numerous Le Creuset items, and this has to be the worst one.Everything sticks to the finish.Salsbury steak turns out horrible (can't make gravy), breakfast sausage patties become ground sausage pieces due to the sticking.And, like mentioned in an earlier post, it is hard to clean.Beware this new finish, (they have it on their grill pans also)it is not up to par.

I purchased this pan about a year ago and I'm very disappointed with its performance. As soon as it arrived I read the instructions and was surprised to learn I should not cook with it at high temperatures. I followed the instructions at all times. I've successfully seasoned standard cast iron cookware in the past but had no success with this pan. Just about everything I cook sticks.

I really researched pans before buying this one.I love the non-stick pans but hate all I am reading about their possible health hazards.Since I cook a lot and for my family, this was a real concern.Again and again I have heard of the value of cooking with cast iron.So I decided to buy one and followed the directions.I always heat up the pan first on a med. to med.-low temperature, I just coat the pan in a thin layer of olive oil (which is good for you) or vegetable oil, then I put in my eggs, onions, vegetables, warm up left overs, whatever.Very little sticking happens if you cook like this.When the pan is cool I just let it soak for about 5 minutes in hot water and voila, easy to clean pan.I have had stainless steel pans and all the "best brands" and found that food stuck to them more than the cast-iron.Nothing can compare with non-stick but who wants the possible health problems that could come with using it over long term.

Also if you choose the cast iron without enamel it is a very good source of iron.

My husband does most of the cooking. It seemed like every skillet we purchased after awhile starting peeling. We even tried cast iron and he wasn't happy with results. It seemed like we thru over $200.00 into the trash not to mention our health. I ordered this pan and received it within 2 days, very impressed with the product. Recently purchased this product from Amazon.I was influenced by the good reviews.It does make nice, fluffy omelets, but no matter how hard I tried I couldn't cook themproperly.I followed the instructions to a "T" but the omelets still looked more like quiche.I carefully cut down the cooking times to the point where the eggs were too undercooked and splattered when I flipped the pan.It seems that for this particular unit, the thermostatmight have been set too high at the factory and therefore the eggs get very '"browned" and it was frustrating to have little control over it.It's also quite possible that the thermostat is just defective. Nevertheless, I sent the Selective Brands Over Easy Omelet Express back to Amazon.Unless I'm notified by the manufacturer that this particular omelet maker was defective, I've decided to not re-order this product.

I bought this griddle because I have a very small stove.I never seen to have enough burners.I only have room for one large fry pan and when you are making eggs and pancakes you have to wait for one to finish before you can cook the other.Breakfast can sometimes take until lunch to make.It's nice too that we can make four grilled cheese sandwiches at once that way the kids eat at the same time.I also like the fact that it has a fat collector that is easy to remove and clean.Since we bought this I have cooked something on it every day.I leave it right on my counter because I use it so much. I would recommend this to everyone.

I purchased this griddle in May of 2006 and have been VERY satisfied with it. Like other reviewers pointed out, it has a huge cooking surface, the temperature control unit works accurately and it's economical and convenient to use. There is a handy drip pan to catch bacon grease, pancake batter and the like. Oh yes, and it's easy to clean -a big bonus in my book. This is probably the sixth griddle I've owned over the years, but so far, it's the best and is a real bargain for the price. A can't miss item.

I bought this griddle to replace a well-worn older one.This one is great.It's much bigger than most of the ones I've seen, but is not heavy or cumbersome.The handles do stay cool and the temp control is easy and out of the way.We hand wash it and the surface is as good as new after several months of at least weekly (sometimes almost daily) use.We make pancakes, bacon, eggs, sausage, chicken, steak, and grilled cheese sandwiches on it.I always use a nonstick spray with it, and it is ten seconds with soapy water to clean it.I did put the drip tray in the dishwasher on the bottom shelf and it melted, so DON'T DO THAT! :)

Nice even heating on gas stove so far. I was most impressed with the disappearing marks in the center indicating the right temperature for pancake/crepe cooking. Nice low lip which makes flipping easy but prevents run off from batter. It's a bit heavy, but works great.

As another has mentioned, the temperature control on this unit is poor.It runs full-blast, shuts down, and then runs full-on again.The metal is thin and there is not enough metal to maintain latent heat in order to keep a good, consistent temperature.

Overall, the construction is poor, edges are rough, and the cord far too short.I wanted a small "one burger" grill and received this as a gift.I will donate it to charity.

As someone else mentioned, the lid is the best thing about the unit.

I bought this to melt encaustic wax.It is important that the wax not get above a certain temperature or it will be a fire hazard.I wasn't expecting pinpoint accuracy when I ordered this.I was expecting some sort of low, medium, high ability though.All I could get it to do was be on at 350 degrees, or off.

If all you are using it for is frying eggs or sausage, it will probably work fine.If you need the ability to control the temperature it might not work for you.
