BergHOFF Copper Clad 8-Inch Stainless Steel Fry Pan Non-Stick

BergHOFF Copper Clad 8-Inch Stainless Steel Fry Pan Non-Stick! am loving this... so perfect for my induction cooker and is so well built... the other brand that I purchased which was a so called ceramic thing were nothing but a bunch of junk, it got scrached with a plastic laddle and does not work on my induction cooker ???.... This is the best for the buck....

Small by diameter (exactly what I was looking for to cook for 2), but deep enough which allows for a variety of recipes to cook.

Perfect quality

Well, I was a little surprised at how small it was.I have an 8 inch pan at home and it's a little bigger but I guess it has to do with how it's shaped? Not sure.Anyway, I do like it...I hope that I can afford the whole set one day.

Earth Pan 10-Piece Hard Anodized Cookware Set

Earth Pan 10-Piece Hard Anodized Cookware SetMy wife and I have spent a lot of money in our life time buying pots and pans. Some even claims "life Time Warranty" and cost triple the price, but nothing last a life time, not even close. When it was time to purchase another set, I did a lot of research (for days). Consumers Report, Amazon.com, etc. Earth Pan received very good reviews over all and it was safe (no PTFEs or PFOAs)we have young children.

The first few days, everything was fine. We read the instructions twice to make sure we followed everything to the letter.

Cons:

1. Non-stick: It still sticks, and depends on what you are cooking, cleaning up afterwards could still be time consuming.

2. Stainless steel handles gets very hot, so be careful, or get the plastic/rubber handle set.

3. Somehow when you get stains on the outside of the pots or pans, NO WAY of cleaning it off. I have research the internet and tried everything, and the stains are still there.

4. Like many other complaints about this set, yes, the pots are too small for everyday use. I agreed.

Pro:

1. Earth pan is well made and attractive.

2. Price is right.

If oneday the non-stick coating comes off (and they will, like all the other non sticks cookwares we ever own), I don't have to worry about harmful chemicals getting into our bodies (espically our kid's).

Update: 11/30/09

These pans are just as bad as the others. It sticks really bad after 3 months. I am so disappointed! Days of research and the "Consumers Report Rating" has not provided me with any satisfactions. Don't buy this. Really.

My husband is very cautious to read reviews before making 'major' purchases. He was very impressed with the reviews and the eco-friendly aspect of these pans therefore he bought the set for me for Christmas (on my request for new pans).I absolutely loved these at first.I made sure everyone in the hhouse knew how they were to be used and cared for so we could keep them like new as long as possible.About 6 months into owning them, one pan got ruined i think my teen-aged son sprayed cooking spray in it.There was absolutely nothing i could do to get it clean and have things not stick. Now its about 1 year later and the pan i use the most is sticking horribly.I am very dissappointed in these pans and hope that anyone who buys them doesnt get their expectations up too high.We are going with cast iron...tried and true easier to maintain, clean and more durable.

My inlaws got these for us because Consumer Reports gave them an excellent rating. We liked the weight and overall quality, and loved the fact that they were made without hazardous chemicals. However, after less than 1 month of proper use, the smallest fry pan had lost its nonstick quality and the next size up was wearing too.We returned the pans and got the similarly priced Rachel Ray set instead. It's been 6 months and the Rachel Ray pans are still in perfect condition.

We purchased these after a great deal of research. The pans arrived quickly and were packaged well. They are heavy and seem well-made. As for appearance they are very nice. The handles seem solid and the lids are tight fitting and heavy. I've read complaints about the pans being too heavy, but that's not something I feel is a bad thing. The non-stick coating works very well. Eggs, sauces, even oatmeal has not been a problem at all. I have not had any problems with denting or problems with the coating (although we follow directions quite closely, lest we ruin something because of our ineptitude). The conduct heat very well and you need to use a lower heat setting because of this. The use of vegetable oil is not recommended, so we haven't used it! My only problem with the set (and it was my own fault for not thinking) is the size of the saute pans. They are perfect for two, perhaps three people. But in our family of 4 they tend to be a bit small. The sizes were clearly stated and I should have paid more attention to them. The 8 qt stockpot is wonderful though and like the other saucepans tapers in towards the middle slightly which makes emptying them much easier. For an experienced chef these would probably not suffice, (but what chef would use non-stick?!?) but for home-style cooking with easy clean-up and an affordable price I don't really think you could go wrong with these.

Want Earth Pan 10-Piece Hard Anodized Cookware Set Discount?

I purchased this product after reading positive reviews on Consumer Reports. The set showed up in looked beautiful (hence the 1 star). As for cooking with it, that is another matter.

EVERYTHING sticks to this cookware(except water). No matter what is applied to the surface, whether it be PAM, olive oil, peanut oil, what ever, the eggs, mac and cheese, rice, oatmeal, vegetables, ground beef, (I did say everything) sticks and then burns to the bottom.

We cook a lot at my home.Every day.And now each of these pans can only be used 2 or maybe three times a week as they have to soak for over a day to loosen the burnt material!

I have owned this cook ware for 6 months and now my options are simple.Live with this terrible product or call it quites and spend another $100+ bucks on something else.I am getting sick of hearing it from my family that also uses this product.

I would highly recommend looking at another product unless scraping burnt material off new cookware(all night long) is a celebrated hobby.

Earth Pan Hard Anodized Nonstick Skillet, 12-Inch

Earth Pan Hard Anodized Nonstick Skillet, 12-InchI purchased this for my husband so we could get rid of the old flaking teflon and wanted to go with something "Greener".My husband loves to make over easy eggs and for the first month this pan worked great, but now our eggs are sticking VERY badly.Even with butter or oil, we have sticking problems.

I wish it was the pan for us, but everything sticks now.So, I search on for a pan that isn't toxic and doesn't stick...because this one might be non toxic, but it does stick to food!

I never used any metal tools on it.I always hand washed, never used the dishwasher on it.I have treated this as a baby and can't believe my treatment of pan could have been the cause of the non stick no longer working.

Okay, so I'm a guy, and can't say that I have an in depth knowledge of kitchen tools. In fact, I still have yet to buy a complete cooking set (just getting by with the odd pots and pans that friends and family have shed over the years). But I've had this pan for about 4 years now, and I'm pleased with it.

95% of time I use this pan to cook my son and I scrambled eggs in the morning. I always melt a little butter in the pan before cooking the eggs too. The scrambled eggs come out great, and the pan is easy to clean up afterwards (I use a wet paper towel and swipe all the egg residue in the sink, and the pan is clean...although I put it back on the warm burner to mitigate any bacteria growth from not using soap).

I have used it a few times to cook eggs without butter...and it didn't seem so non-stick to me then. The eggs were definitely sticking to the bottom of the pan while I cooked, resulting in crispier than usual scrambled eggs (which my son noticed...we don't like crispy scrambled eggs). Perhaps because I didn't use butter I should have turned the heat down a few notches, which might have prevented the sticking (complete guess, again, cooking good food has been a learning process for me). However, the way I see it, a non-stick pan should be non-stick even without butter. So that is why I'm only giving it 4 stars.

I love my set of Earth Sand Pans. They require less heat to cook foods. My rice comes out fluffy and does not stick on the bottom.Any cooked residue comes off easily without much scouring. They require very little oil for cooking vegetables, meats, etc in the fry pan.My meat does brown. They are light weight and easy to handle.I only wish that the manufacturer would come out with some larger size pans in the future.Iam very happy with this purchase.

Presto 07030 Cool Touch 20-Inch Electric Griddle, Black

Presto 07030 Cool Touch 20-Inch Electric Griddle, BlackI bought this griddle for yakiniku, which is a great way to entertain guests, but I have found that I have been using it far more than anticipated.

Pros:

It's awesome to have a griddle in the kitchen.First and foremost, it's great being able to make more than one or two pancakes at a time.If you want to serve someone up a short stack, there is a lot of waiting using only two pans, but with this, you can crank out three good size cakes at the same time. Also, frying eggs and warming meat at the same time has saved me a lot of time in the mornings.

It's easy to clean. If you read the manual carefully, it suggests seasoning before use. This ensures a light coat of oil stays on it while it's being used.I've done this and NOTHING has stuck to the surface.I also give it a thorough scrub with either a dry paper towel or a wet one held with chopsticks after each use and it stays very clean.

It gets hot fast!Way faster than my range top and a pan, which also saves me time in the morning. This is mostly due to the light construction, but this can also contribute to un-even heating, which I have not yet had a problem with, although others have.

Its just more fun.Maybe this is helping me live out some long-lost short-order cook fantasies?= )

Cons:

As other reviewers have noted, it slides around a bit.I find myself lifting it up a bit on one side to both keep it in place and also to give the spatula better odds of sliding under an egg without breaking it.This is not a deal-breaking compensation, but rubber feet would have been nice here.

It tends to get pretty hot.The manual comes with cooking temps, but I found most of them to be a little high.Cooking a little more cool has helped things out for me.Again, this may be what has attributed to others' problems.

The bottom line here is that you get what you pay for. This is one of the cheaper models on the market, so I think it would be a little unrealistic to assume that the bargain model would deliver a top-of-the-line performance.I have had zero problems with mine so far, but I recognize that it clearly has some room for improvements.Until I want to shell out more than $30 for a small kitchen appliance, I'll be quite happy with this product.

I have been using the griddle for about a year now, and nothing sticks to it.It has a nice wide flat surface that makes it great for making pancakes for the family. My family used to have to eat them in shifts because I could only cook 2 at a time on my regular frying pan. I can do about eight at a time now, depending on how big i want them i can do more. Clean up is a breeze...once you remove the plug the griddle is completely submersable in water. I had a george foreman once...cleaning it was difficult because it couldn't get wet.I cook all my burgers on the Presto now.If grease starts to collect there is a grease tray on the side, just push the unwanted stuff into the hole with a spatula.

My original electric griddle was a Hamilton Beach.I had it for almost 16 years and used it constantly. It had the most non-stick surface I've ever seen.I never used any oil on it, and absolutely nothing stuck, not even scrambled eggs. When it finally wore out, I purchased a Presto Cool Touch griddle as a replacement. The product claimed to be non-stick.I was a little concerned when I saw that the surface was rough to the touch. It had the texture of a cast iron pan.I figured it must work, though.Well, everything stuck right to it.I was disappointed that I'd have to go back to using oil.I applied a nice coating of oil and started again.Everything still stuck. It was a real mess.As for cleanup, it's a nightmare. The oil got baked onto that rough surface and turned into that sticky brown goo you get sometimes on your glass bakeware. Not only that, it was impossible to completely remove the goo.I would wash the griddle by hand over and over again, only to find more brown goo rubbing off onto my dish towel when I dried it.I tried the griddle for 2 weeks and then took it out to the garbage can.I have since bought a #38510 Hamilton Beach StepSavor Jumbo Griddle and I love it.I am back to cooking without any added oil and cleanup is super easy.If you like to cook pancakes, eggs and french toast on your griddle, stick with Hamilton Beach for the best results.

After reading comments from other reviewers I was a little worried about uneven cooking when I ordered this, but in my experience (with pancakes) the difference in coloration was very minor between areas that were directly above the heating element and areas that weren't.I usually leave a good 5-10 mins for the griddle to heat up before I start cooking, so maybe if you throw the pancakes on right away after the minimum amount of warmup time you would get problems with uneven cooking, but personally I haven't experienced it.With cooking other things like grilled cheese sandwiches, there is no difference in coloration whatsoever between what was over the heating element and what wasn't.I followed the directions about "seasoning" the non-stick surface with canola oil before the first time I used it, and so far NOTHING sticks to this thing. It's been very easy to clean.Overall I love it, and compared to the price of other griddles out there I'm very happy with my purchase. It makes about six pancakes or sandwiches at a time, so I can easily produce food for 4-6 people faster than they can possibly eat it.The only negative is that, like other reviewers have mentioned, the legs on this griddle tend to slide across the countertop surface very easily.I solved it with a pack of 1/2" adhesive rubber feet I bought for $2.49 (similar to these: Waxman 4215395N 1/2-Inch Heavy Duty Bumper, Clear, Round), but despite how easy it was to fix this, it's really something Presto should have corrected before production so shame on them for that.Still, I would recommend this griddle to anyone in the market for a new one.I love it.

Want Presto 07030 Cool Touch 20-Inch Electric Griddle, Black Discount?

I picked up this griddle here for $20 and it was worth every single penny.I treated it with oil as was recommended in manual and have had absolutely no problems with sticking. It cleans easily and is large enough for quite alot of stuff. It heats quickly and evenly and has allowed me to make some quite spectacular meals.

Things I've cooled on it so far:

Eggs (over-easy)

Eggs (scrambled)

Bacon (wonderful)

Grilled cheese

Hamburgers

Pork chops

Steaks

Tuna steaks

Tillapia

Cod fillets

Salmon

Everything has come out wonderfully.

The only negative thing I have to say about it agrees with a few other reviewers. As sold, it has a tendency to slide around on the counter, which would be somewhat dangerous without precautions. However, it is trivial to deal with. I simply put a towel underneath.Walla ... no more sliding. For a real solution, just go to Home Depot and get some small rubber feet for $1.50.

All-in-all, this is the best $20 I have every spent on a kitchen appliance.

Large 2-screw replacement handle for vintage Revere Ware pans

Large 2-screw replacement handle for vintage Revere Ware pansOrdered a replaement handle for an old Revere Ware sauce pan.The product arrived in days, and was perfect...brought new life to an old pan.I was so excited to find this at Amazon and it's worth every penny.I would highly recommend for anyone who owns Revere Ware and has old, cracked handles. The pan in question is like new, and will probably last another 40 years, thanks to this high quality replacement handle.I would definitely use this vendor again, no questions asked!

The good:Acceptable price, and delivered on time.

The not so good:Screw holes did not line up perfectly with the pass-thru holes on the inner metal handle frame.I had to keep one of the screws very loose and then force the other screw thru it's opening by tapping it thru with a punch and hammer. Not a major deal but it shouldn't have needed extra work. Also along the edges where the two handle pieces come together there is a slightly rough edge.Again, not a big deal but another example of a lack of attention to detail/craftsmanship.

Would I buy from this vendor again?Yes, but only if I couldn't find it elsewhere and with similar pricing.

I have 8 Revere pans/pots, purchased in 1953. Although I have many other pans, these are my favorites. While all our family, 7 sons & 1 daughter are married, living in their own homes, with our 29 grandchildren, I enjoy cooking for my husband and myself, guests and family visiting. I ordered 3 replacement handles, small, medium and large, really for the appearance. I used to replace the handles, purchasing new ones at a shop in Sandwich on Cape Cod Massachusetts. That store is gone and I was happy to find handles through Amazon. I ordered the 3 different sizes, expecting that they would fit 3 different pans and I could then judge what sizes to order for the remaining 5 pans. The large and medium handles are the same length, slightly different shape. The small handle Is one half inch shorter.I spent 2 hours this afternoon trying to put one handle on a pan, without success.

The two piece screws were very difficult to put through the 3 holes for the handlesand would not hold together.

I am sure these handles have been sold to other people, who did not have this difficulty. Are my pots and pans, now 60 years old, just more than vintage?Look forward to hearing what someone thinks about my problem.

Calphalon Contemporay Stainless Steel Nonstick 12 Inch Omelette Pan

Calphalon Contemporay Stainless Steel Nonstick 12 Inch Omelette PanWe have a full line of Calphalon Contemporary Stainless pieces, which we dearly adore, and an 8-inch Contemporary Stainless Nonstick pan. All are induction capable: they pass the magnet test and are even marked with the induction logo. For some odd reason, the 12-inch Contemporary Stainless Nonstick pan we received was NOT induction-ready. If you do not have and do not plan to purchase an induction cooktop, then this line is a fantastic way to go.

We bought the Calphalon Contemporary Stainless Steel Nonstick set...and opted to buy this 12" pan in addition. It's a great, non-stick finish and a really, really nice stainless steal exterior.I prefer the handles on the Anolon pans...but these are a very nice looking design and pan. They cook great, even.

We did wash and "season" the pans by warming them and rubbing olive oil into them, then letting them fully cool and hand washing them.

We've opted to hand wash these...these are the "fancier" set.We dishwash the Anolons...and I know I'm supposed to be able to dishwash these...but we've kept these hand washed for now.

Smart Planet MCM-1 Mini Cupcake Maker

Smart Planet MCM-1 Mini Cupcake MakerReceived this as a Valentine's Day gift and fired it up for the first time tonight.LOVED IT.

I made the "Just Plain Good" cupcake recipe from the book Small Batch Baking by Debby Nakos.I was tempted to try a cake mix, but I figured it would make dozens of mini-temptations to haunt me.This recipe was for 4 regular sized cupcakes it made 13 mini-cupcakes (in two batches) in the device.I used paper cups and skipped the oil/cooking spray step. They turned out perfectly! The first batch were ready after one cooking cycle (under 10 min), but the 2nd batch needed two cycles presumably because I didn't wait for the device to completely re-heat before starting the 2nd batch.

One thing I'd point out that the manual is unclear about is how to tell when the cooking cycle is over. The "ready" light turms off at the end of the cycle. It doesn't say that and I wasn't sure, so I opened it prematurely but no biggie, everything was fine.

I wish there was a supporting website where users could exchange recipes, but I'm so far delighted with this it's like a George Foreman grill for cake addicts!

I purchased this product for a project in my Marketing 3100 course. I was a little concerned with it at first, but after using it I am very pleased. The product makes seven moist mini cupcakes at a time. Because it only makes a few at a time, it does take a long time to bake a whole box of cupcake mix. If you are using this product with children DO NOT let them open the lid when the baking time is done, as a large amount of very hot steam comes out and it will cause burns. Overall a very cute product.

Smart Planet HDG-1 The Eco Chef Hot Dog GrillBought this little grill to use instead of my toaster oven/broiler (which did a great job but was too messy). This grill is GREAT! I've been using it for several months and couldn't be happier. Follow the directions about preheating, place your dogs inside, close, and wait. In a few minutes you'll be enjoying freshly-grilled dogs without the mess. Cleans easily and stores in any kitchen cabinet because of its handy size. Bon appetite!

WearEver A834S974 Cook and Strain Stainless Steel Dishwasher Safe 10-Piece Cookware Set, Silver

WearEver A834S974 Cook and Strain Stainless Steel Dishwasher Safe 10-Piece Cookware Set, SilverI received this set as a gift three years ago, and I really love the set.At the time, I was not much of a cook and just out of college, but I am now married and we cook all the time with these pans. They are super sturdy and feel hefty without too much weight.I appreciate the "strain" feature and use it regularly.

The company also stands behind its products and responds to customers via email.I was missing one of the lids to the pans after a move.I contacted them about it, and they helped me to replace the piece. It was great service on their part, and although I know these pans are going to last me for years and years, I will probably buy WearEver again.

I recently upgraded my range from a gas model to an electric smooth surface cooktop (which I LOVE). I soon realized that a lot of my old (cheaper) cookware which had worked just fine on my old stove didn't work as well on my new one. Because of the nature of the design of this type of cooktop, the heat "transfers" to the cookware instead of the "direct" heat of conventional cooking. Bottom line is that your cookware needs to sit flat in order to perform well. Mine didn't. I bought this set because I wanted 4 things: 1)heavy-duty cookware to work with my new cooktop, 2)a non-stick finish in the fry pan only (but stainless steel in the pots); 3)a strainer built into the lids and 4)see-through clear lids. This is the only cookware I've found that met ALL of my criteria. I can tell a big difference between the new cookware and the old.

I have had a few occasions where I burned food on a pan and if you soak it, it cleans up very easily with steel wool. Many people have commented that they really like how they look. The double spouts on the pans make for very easy pouring, and I really love the strain feature in the cover. They also heat very evenly.

ExcelSteel 10 Inch super lightweight cast iron frypan

ExcelSteel 10 Inch super lightweight cast iron frypanThis is not a cast iron pan, in the sense of the old seasoned pans your mother had.

I like how light it is. But.......

It does not distribute the heat evenly.

And everything sticks to the ridges on the inside.

The way it was ground down on the inside left spiral ridges.

I have cooked and seasoned, cooked and seasoned.

I own regular cast iron pans.

I will be going back to them.

Don't be fooled, get the real thing.

Regular Cast iron forever!

I waited for several months to write this review since the primary use for this frypan was to prepare omelets, and since I use the "slide it out and fold with the lip of the pan" technique, it has to truly be non-stick.My first act was to put it through my own seasoning process, well actually the seasoning process of the Wok Shop in San Francisco.I am happy to report that it works and works well.More than I can say for our super expensive Calphalon infused utensils.Season it before use, wash only with water and a scrubber of your choice, and heat and re-oil after every use. It's light weight, heats rapidly and is truly non-stick.Oh, and yes, the handle does get hot -use a towel or hot pad for crying out loud.

This product fulfilled all my requirements for an omelette pan:Cast-iron, light weight, cooking surface not pre-coated with "nonstick" material, 10-inch dia. size, rounded bottom-side--perfect for twoor three-egg omelettes.Had some reservations about thin body and riveted handle until I saw how sturdily it was made.At this point pan is still new, but performing to all expectations, aging nicely and improving with every use.Overall, an excellent pan that won't break your wallet, and a welcome addition to my cast-iron collection.

Cuisinart FCT22-30HF French Classic Tri-Ply Stainless 12-Inch French Skillet with Helper HandleAfter replacing numerous 8" non-stick coated skillets at least once per year, I decided to try a stainless steel tri-ply skillet so it would last a lifetime.I also figured it would be much healthier.I primarily use this size for eggs so that is the first food I cooked to test this pan.If they stuck, it was going back to BB&B where I purchased it.After warming it up on my electric stove on setting 3, I added a pat of butter. So far, so good. The butter bubbled up nicely without browning or burning.I cracked the eggs into the pan and I couldn't believe it.They slid around the pan like an Olympic ice skater on a newly Zamboni-ed ice rink! The eggs cooked gently and evenly and when done, slid easily onto the plate. If you are adverse to using oil or butter, then I would not recommend this pan you definitely need to add fat for sautéing or frying. The pan cleaned up like a dream with just hot water and a little dish detergent.I also use Barkeeper's Friend (liquid or powder) to scrub away any stubborn spots.I don't have a dishwasher so I can't comment on that but even if I did, I'd only handwash this beauty to protect the mirror finish.I own several other open stock pieces from this line and will be adding more when I have the bucks. They are gorgeous to look at, easy to clean and actually make the chore of cooking a pleasure.

30 years ago my wife and I bought stainless steel pots with a triple heavy base so why it took me so long to get these fry pans is beyond me. I tested the French Skillet using a pork chop. We have an electric glass top stove and I used a heat level of about 6 1/2 . I used a tablespoon of corn oil in the pan and let it get hot. I salted and peppered the chop and dropped it in the pan. It stuck to the bottom immediately but I didn't try to move it. I kept touching the side, tapping gently until eventually it unstuck itself. I flipped it over and followed the same steps. I took it off the burner, put the chop on a plate and let it rest for five minutes. I couldn't wait any longer, I tasted the chop. Delicious! I put a small amount of water in the pan and ate the rest of the chop. I turned to the pan and put it in the sink to clean. I soaped up a scrub sponge and got to work. Surprisingly it cleaned up in a flash easy as pie. I now have the 8" and the 10" and am saving for the 12".

I love this pan. Works great and looks so good. Easy to clean. I use vinegar and/or Baker's cleaner when I want.

We have the entire set plus some extras of the Cuisinart French series. We love all the pans, but disappointed that Cuisinart couldnt find a way to keep the 12" helper handle from getting burning hot.Other than that we love the series, just need to be mindful of this particular pan when using it.

We have the 8 and 10in also (incuded in set) and love them.By far the best pans we have owned.I now cook my steaks in these pans instead of firing up the grill.

Circulon Symmetry Hard Anodized Nonstick 11-Piece Cookware Set

Circulon Symmetry Hard Anodized Nonstick 11-Piece Cookware Set ()Before I start complaining, I want to emphasize that these are very very high quality and the best set I've ever owned (I also have the anolon set Anolon Advanced Bronze Collection Hard Anodized Nonstick Cookware Set, 11-Piece and I think they are both of equal quality (made by same company) but I prefer the circulon set). The anolon set is more beautiful/elegant but not dishwasher safe and don't work with all heat sources.

The bottom of these pots and pans is very thick which make these amazing. There are no hot spots. It was amazing to watch water boil in them and have even sized bubbles form everywhere in the bottom. It is very forgiving if you have the burner too hot as food won't burn in specific spots.

These are dishwasher and metal utensil safe. I use them in the dishwasher all the time but I don't want to use metal utensils in them.

When I first got them, I hand washed them and carefully put them in a metal drying rack. This was a bit of a mistake because it faintly scratched the outside. So I don't want to use metal utensils just in case (I got a plastic dish rack shortly after!).

These are extremely nonstick but I'm not a fan of the circular grooves in them. It makes stirring sauce in them strange as the spoon runs over the grooves. And I think the the nonstick quality is good enough not to need these grooves.

The sides aren't very thick but the bottom (base) is what matters for heat distribution and they (bases) are the best I have ever used. They work with all sources of heat (induction etc).

Another thing I'm not a fan of is the end of the handles. They have a depression on the bottom side so one can hang them. When I put them in the dishwasher (upside down) they get full of water. I'm not sure why they didn't just punch the hole completely though like they did with the anolon sets.

So while both anolon and circulon sets are the best I have ever used I would actually pick these circulons because they work with any heat source and are dishwasher safe.

This is good value for money cookware. It is ideal for induction cooktops, where choice at any reasonable price is limited.

It is important to note that this is NOT like 'normal' non-stick. When frying, you need to cook with a small amount of olive oil do that and the pans work great and will easily wipe clean. If you use butter or try to cook high-fat burgers, the non-stick coating will be compromised. I keep one pan for those tasks: it comes clean with a non-stick scourer, but it can take some work.

The main difference between Symmetry and Infinite Circulon is the handles: the coatings are identical. Symmetry handles have a plastic insert whereas the Infinite range were all metal. Main problem is that these new handles are shorter which makes them harder to balance with the larger, heavier pans. They are also not as well shaped. I never found that the all-metal handles got hot, so I don't understand why they needed to be changed. My advice would therefore be don't buy these. Get Circulon Infinite while you still can it's also clearance priced, so you will get significant savings as well as more comfortable pans.

This is the best cookware set I've ever owned. I actually have this set in a 13 piece that was offered through Costco for a short period of time. My old, much more expensive, Calphalon basically was wrecked after 5 years. The true test of cookware is how it holds up in the homes of lazy, sloppy people. Not that I consider myself lazy and sloppy, but today I was boiling dark purple wooden popsicle sticks for a craft project for my kids. Forgot about the sticks and the water boiled away, leaving the wooden sticks to burn on the bottom of the pan. Once the burning campfire smell drew me back to the kitchen, I lifted the sticks out and let the pan soak for a couple of minutes, brushed it out with the dish brush and there was not even a mark or finish problem at all. I was absolutely amazed I mean, it was burning WOOD on the bottom of a pan on high heat! This is the second time I've had the empty pan sitting on a hot burner and the pan was fine. I recall that this"feature" was on another review I read before I purchased the set... that alone sold me.

I cook constantly, and my food is perfect everytime. Cooks very evenly... cleanup is fast and you can even just pop them in the dishwasher. The handles are wonderful and stay cool. AND, you can use metal utensils on these things! Need I say more?

I have an older induction rangetop so I did a fair amount of research for a set that was both "stick-free" and induction safe.I have had Circulon pans in the past and have liked their cookware. When I purchased the 11 piece set I was extremely please with the packing (very secure and each piece isolated so not denting or scratching).Oh, I also purchased the 8 inch skillet the month before so that I could actually work/cook with the pans before buying the whole set just to see if I liked it and that it would work on my induction top.I was very please with the performance, liked the weight, very nice handles and heated evenly with no problems on my rangetop.I was so excited when my set arrived that I put it to work right away.Image my total surprise when the 1-1/2 qt and 2 qt saucepans did not work on my induction top!If you want to test this cookware out like I did, I would suggest you buy a small saucepan first.I have written to Meyers Corp about the problem but have not received an answer yet.Amazon was great about the whole thing because I wrote to them about the small pan difficulty altho I loved all of the rest of the set. They gave me a 40% discount and I still use the pans with an induction disk. Thanks Amazon!

I am really do likethis cookware. The best thing about them is the ease of cleaning. They take no time to clean.I have an induction stovetop and they work great on it.I tried a less expensive set and they seemed light weight and flimsy and did not cook well. These are well worth the price.
