T-fal Signature Hard Anodized Fry Pans

T-fal D9130764 Signature Hard Anodized Oven Safe Nonstick Thermo-Spot Heat Indicator 12-Inch Fry Pan, GrayI love this pan. My only issue is that the pan is not deep enough to cook a meal for a big family. My fault though because I didn't realize a saute pan had short sides.I have always had good success with T-Fal pans especially considering the price when compared to others such as scanpan. So far it is completley non-stick and easy to clean.I will continue to buy T-Fal pans until a better product comparably priced is introduced.

I'm a connoisseur of cookware by no means, but expected

an 8" skillet to be bigger than this.

I got out my machinist measuring scale and come up with

the following measurements; largest diameter at top of rim= 7.55",

flat area at inside of bottom= approximately 5.5".

This is about big enough for a couple eggs or maybe a sandwich.

By no means what I expected.

On the bright side, we will use it in it's capacity,

and it is VERY high quality, in my opinion.

We purchased based on a prior purchase of another pan of the same brand and line.

After less than six months this pan has developed little blisters and the coating is peeling off! When I contacted T-Fal they said to send the pan to them for evaluation. It would take 4-6 weeks for them to determine if the pan is defective. If they determine that it is not, then they will send it back to me at MY expense (in addition to me sending it to them at MY expense!).I was then told that it was probably caused by me using an aerosol on the pan which would void the warranty.Sounds like they've already determined that it's my fault!!The warranty that came with my pan does not mention anything at all about aerosol and I haven't used it anyway!!Nor have I ever used a metal utensil or placed this in the dishwasher. This is a shoddy product with a useless warranty!I would never buy another T-Fal product!!

I bought this pan for my husband based on everyone's positive feedback.Sadly after three uses, the coating on the bottom had bubbled up and I will have to return the pan.I hope there is another more durable non-stick pan that I can order as a replacement.

The pan is advertised as being anodized. You would assume that would mean inside the pan.It only means outside. It is not anodized non-stick on the cooking surface.Very disappointed.

Farberware Millennium Stainless Steel Nonstick 10-Piece Cookware Set

Farberware Millennium Stainless Steel Nonstick 10-Piece Cookware SetI WAS TRYING TO REPLACE MY COOKWARE OF OVER 20 YEARS.THIS SET OF COOKWARE FAR EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS.IT IS VERY EASY TO WASH, IS DISHWASHER SAFE, AND VERY SCRATCH RESISTANT.I LOVE IT, MY ONLY CONCERN IS THAT IT DIDN'T COME WITH A 3 QT SAUCEPAN.

()For a single, college-aged individual or a couple that is just starting to figure out their cooking tool needs, this is a fine set to add to the kitchen.I am surprised to be typing that. Here are my reasons for awarding four stars:

1) Use your favorite metal kitchen tools: Normally, I hate nonstick pans. The convenience of easy cleanup seems to always be counteracted by my inability to use my favorite cooking tools, which all happen to be metal. Normally, using metal on a nonstick surface is a huge no-no.But with this set, metal tools can be used and there is no scratching as the pans have a metal guard nonstick coating. For people just learning to cook, more industrial surfaces are also a bonus.

2) The weight: I was happy with the weight of the individual units. They are of a mid-range weight. If you bump one on the stove, it shouldn't go flying off.The weight is not so substantial that you cannot pick one of the skillets up with one hand.

3) Looks: Overall, the set looks quite attractive. The set has the stainless steel appearance with the bonus of a nonstick interior.

4) Easy clean-up:Really, this is the reason to buy a nonstick set.Who likes to spend hours cleaning pans? The pans are very easy to clean. They are also dishwasher safe.I love pans that are dishwasher safe.

5) Versatile:Despite the nonstick interior, these pans can be placed in the oven up to 500 degrees.I don't usually cook at temperatures over that so this feature is wonderful.

6) Usable on multiple heating surfaces: This set is suitable for induction, solid plate, radiant ring, ceramic, halogen, and gas heating surfaces.

7) Glass lids:I don't use glass lids frequently. In fact, I have many lids from other sets and I would have preferred another pot or pan instead of four lids. However, many folks love glass lids as it is easy to monitor foods while they are cooking.

Overall, I was pleased with this set. When combined with devices like a crock pot, griddle, and additional stainless steel and cast iron cooking pieces, the new cook should have a good set to begin a life long appreciation of cooking.

Country of origin:The components of this set are made in Thailand and China.

փ Positives:

փ The DuPont "Teflon Professional with Metal Guard" is quite durable and resistant to scratching by metal utensils (but it still can be scratched with metal forks and knives).

փ The "Impact Bonded Even Heat Base", composed of a thick aluminum core encapsulated in stainless steel, evenly heats food without having unbalanced hot spots in different parts of the pot or pan.

փ The two 8-inch and 10-inch skillets are nice and deep, with a 2.0-inch depth. I dislike shallow skillets that are only 1.0 or 1.5 inches deep.

փ This cookware set is dishwasher-safe and oven-safe to 500 degrees.

փ This cookware set comes with a lifetime limited warranty.

փ This nonstick heavy-gauge cookware set uses a professional-chef-grade Teflon coating and offers performance that is very comparable to other sets costing 40% to 100% more.

ჯ Negatives:

ჯ As with all nonstick cookware that uses Teflon, you should throw away the cookware the moment that its surface coatings begin to have scratches or flake off.

This stainless steel nonstick cookware set consists of 6 pots/pans and 4 glass lids: 8-inch skillet, 10-inch skillet, 1-quart and 2-quart covered saucepans, 8-quart covered stockpot, and 3-quart covered saute pan. My one personal nitpick with this cookware set is that I would have preferred the two skillets to be 10-inch and 12-inch, instead of 8-inch and 10-inch, even although all other cookware sets also do not include a 12-inch skillet. For cooking omelettes, crepes, and pancakes, I just prefer to use a 10-inch or 12-inch skillet instead of an 8-inch skillet. But the good news is that both of the included skillets are a full 2.0 inches deep. Some skillets are too shallow with only a 1.0-inch or 1.5-inch depth, which can create more of a messy stove when there is spattering.

This cookware set was shipped in a very sturdy box with numerous cardboard inserts that kept everything in a pristine condition. You could probably drop this box from a truck and nothing inside would get damaged. The polished stainless steel exteriors and precise-fitting glass lids are of very high quality, and along with the large beefy rivets that hold the handles to the cookware, this looks and feels similar to my All-Clad stainless cookware, which is much more expensive. This cookware has a good solid heft to it, and their bases heat evenly. When I heat water, oil, or fluids in this cookware, the bubbles are evenly distributed as they form. During the cooking of food, I do not notice any uneven hot spots where one side of the pot or pan cooks faster than another side. Even when this cookware and the lids become really hot from cooking on high heat, the pot handles and lid handles still remain comfortable to grab with bare hands.

Most of my cookware is high-quality stainless steel, including some with copper bottoms. Stainless steel is the day-to-day workhorse in my kitchen, and I like the versatility of stainless steel in being dishwasher-safe and yet also oven/broiler safe. I also use anodized aluminum. But I only reach for nonstick cookware strictly on an as-needed basis because I try to maximize the longevity of its nonstick surface, whereas some people just have one set of nonstick cookware that they constantly cook everything in.

The "Teflon Professional with Metal Guard" coating on this cookware performed very admirably. I was able to cook a variety of egg and cheese dishes without the use of any cooking spray or oil and nothing ever stuck to the surface. Even though the professional-chef-grade "Metal Guard" Teflon is resistant to scratching by metal utensils, I still use wood, silicone, or soft plastic utensils when cooking with this (and any other nonstick) cookware to try to keep the nonstick coating free from scratches as long as possible. So I did not try using metal turners, spoons, or ladles with this cookware to see what force it could endure without scratching. Clean-up of both the interior and exterior surfaces was easy too; I did not even need to use the scrubber side of the kitchen sponge to wipe the nonstick surface. At most, for the stubborn food that was stuck on, I just let the cookware soak in a tub of warm soapy water for a short period before sponging the residues off.

Some nonstick cookware *claim* to be oven-safe, and this cookware set states that it is oven-safe to 500 degrees. I think that using nonstick cookware in an oven to 350 degrees may be okay. But, frankly, I do not want to risk the degradation of these PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) compounds like the Teflon that is used in this nonstick cookware set because the fumes from overheated PTFE are not healthy to breathe in. DuPont states that Teflon is non-toxic if you eat flakes of it, but I really want to minimize the possibility that my body absorbs these highly synthetic PTFE compounds either through my lungs or through my digestive system. So I only use nonstick cookware when I *really* need its nonstick advantage (cooking eggs or dishes containing cheese are two classic examples), and I throw away nonstick cookware the moment that the surface coating starts to scratch or flake off, which it always does eventually regardless of how carefully I try to not scratch the surface. So I like to invest in high-quality stainless steel cookware, but I do not care to spend a lot for a top-of-the-line nonstick set when I know that I will eventually be throwing some of them away. And this is why I think this cookware set is great especially when you compare prices. You can easily pay at least 40%, or even 100%, more for a 10-piece nonstick cookware set, and its Teflon may not last any longer than the nonstick coating used in this set.

Some pros and cons of this nonstick cookware set also apply to ALL nonstick cookware, regardless of price. For example, if your cooking requires prolonged periods of very high heat, do not use nonstick cookware because the surface coatings cannot withstand that. All nonstick cookware, and not just this set, is best suited for low to medium heat. Nonstick cookware is also not optimal for searing and browning. The best searing/browning is done in cast iron, followed by stainless steel, followed by aluminum. You can sear using this nonstick cookware by slowly pre-heating the pan to full heat before adding the food, but the best searing and browning is done in a cast iron pan or skillet.

This cookware set includes a "Important Safety, Use, & Care Information" pamphlet that repeatedly emphasizes to never let cookware (any kind of cookware really) boil dry. If you have birds as pets, the safety pamphlet also warns that the PTFE/Teflon coating on nonstick cookware can emit fumes that can kill birds because the birds' respiratory systems cannot handle the fumes. This also applies to the overheating of cooking sprays, oils, fats, margarine, and butter, which can be toxic to birds. While overheating or boiling dry any kind of cookware is never a good idea, the health hazards, both for birds and humans, are more acute when using PTFE/Teflon-coated nonstick cookware. Even though PTFE/Teflon fumes can kill birds but does not kill humans, this still does not provide me with totally reassuring confidence to convince me that I can use nonstick cookware to cook all of my everyday meals. This is another reason why I use nonstick cookware only when I really need its nonstick ability.I emphasize this again because it is important: never overheat nonstick cookware.Overheating Teflon can cause the release of fumes that can cause flu-like symptoms in humans, a syndrome that is called "polymer fume fever".Additionally, the journal "Environmental Health Perspectives" published a study conducted by researchers from Yale University and Harvard Medical School where they found that the perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS) used in Teflon are "associated with higher prevalence of osteoarthritis, particularly in women, a group that is disproportionately impacted by this chronic disease".Their analysis showed that women who had the most exposure to PFOA had twice the odds of developing arthritis compared to women with the lowest exposures; PFOS exposure was also associated with arthritis in women, but not as significantly as PFOA.

௫ Fuzzy Wuzzy's Conclusion:

Overall, I really like this cookware set and it compares favorably to more-expensive 10-piece sets. I sometimes do not need to use nonstick cookware for one or two weeks, so I expect that this set will last me a long time with its durable nonstick coating. If your cooking really requires daily use of nonstick cookware, this cookware set is durable in both its nonstick and cooking performance to be the main cookware that you use everyday. Just be sure to never use sharp metal utensils like forks or knives and do not use hard cutting actions on this nonstick surface, and throw away a nonstick cookware the moment that its nonstick coating starts to scratch or flake off.

()This set is made up of1-quart and 2-quart Covered Saucepans, 8-quart Covered Stockpot, 3-quart Covered Saute, 8-inch and 10-inch Skillets

My first impression of this set was that it was extremely well packed so that nothing would be damaged while in stock or when out being delivered.

My second impression was that this set was heavier weight than I was expecting, and compares very favorably in appearance(VERY nice looking) to the more expensive Cuisinart 10-piece set (see images).(The Cuisinart has one more lid and one less pan than this set.)

Like the Cuisinart set, this set features aluminum cores clad with stainless steel. Also, like premium cookware sets, this cookware has long riveted handles.Because the handles are long, they don't get hot even though they are metal.

I was very surprised to see that Farberware says that it's perfectly OK to put the non-stick pans in the dishwasher.Additional information regarding the non-stick surface:

Use low to medium heat only

Do not use non-stick sprays, as they will build up on the surface and cause food to stick (who'd a thunk??)

If oil is needed, olive or peanut oil is recommended

I tried out some of the pans.I liked the weight in my hand (not flimsy but not too heavy) and sure enough, nothing sticks. But we all know that nothing sticks to new Teflon. The proof of the pudding will be found in the long run only time will tell us if these pans are the paragons of wonderfulness that Farberware claims them to be.

Some years ago I discovered that I like the less expensive Farberware much more than some more expensive lines of pans. Therefore, I am inclined to be A True Believer, at least for the time being.

I am sincerely hoping that if given the proper care, and if not exposed to high temperatures, this set will last me a good 20 years or more.

I believe that this is a good buy.

()I have owned an older set of Farberware since I was in my 20's, and after a breakup the set got split up between me and the boyfriend.Over the years,I must have misplaced a pot or two but I still have a few pots from the original set, still going strong.

Now I have thisnew version of Farberware. I am used to using pots withsolid steel lids, as a creature of habit, was not sure what to expect with all the see through glass. Here is what i discovered for some reason, this set of pots, with the cover on,seems to heat up food a lot faster.I actually have ended up burning a few pots of green beans.I am sure it has nothing to do with the lids, but more to do with the construction of the pot, the bottom insulation (or lack thereof, am not sure). With that said,I have to explain that I use a very old stove/oven and have been frustrated with the amount of time it takes sometimes for something to heat up, but I am not having this problem at all with this set of Farberware.

Am I complaining? No I love my new pots and pans! They are easy to clean, love the see-through lids, and silly me, it makes it fun to cook again.(I just love new toys in the kitchen). My main warning is to be careful with the heat, as I swear this set seems to heat up food faster.

This pan is really great!

The non-stick surface is very durable and even stands up to a metal whisk quite well.

The only bad side is the induction compatibility is delivered by a small, thin disk of steel in the base.

T-fal A8058962 Specialty Nonstick Thermo-Spot Heat Indicator 14-Inch Jumbo Wok Cookware, Black

T-fal A8058962 Specialty Nonstick Thermo-Spot Heat Indicator 14-Inch Jumbo Wok Cookware, BlackI cook Chinese food everyday. However, it's very difficult to find a good wok here in US. I have shopped around and used many different woks since I came to US 13 years ago.

I got a T-Fal fry pan last year from a friend. It works great. Therefore, I was looking for a wok from T-Fal. I couldn't find it from the local stores. Finally, I found it at Amazon. When it arrived, I was surprised how beautiful it is. I tried it immediately. It works perfectly. Finally, I don't have to do the "wok hunting" again!

Original post on 1/4/11: What I like most about this wok is its excellent non-stick coating.I use it everyday with wooden spatula. Wouldn't risk to use metal utensil although the product description says ok.I stir fry rice cake (very sticky) and gladly found the wok really non-stick. Extremely easy to clean. It's wide enough but a little too shallow (3" in depth) comparing to other 14" wok in the market. The bottom is very slippery on stove top.Make sure you hold the handle when you stir or turn the food.

2/10/11 update: Very disappointed to find many scratches after 1 month. I use it with wooden utensil only and clean it with a sponge. For the health of my family, I had to throw it away when the Teflon came off. I hope this once-so-great wok last longer.

A "wok" is a Chinese frying pan and the generic term "frying pan" (in English) is generally used to denote a Sauté pan. This T-fal "wok" is a perfect fusion of the two and once you own one and learn how to use it, you probably won't need another pan (unless it's a duplicate T-fal wok).

The great thing to notice about this pan (vs. others) is its weight. It's 2.6 pounds.Take a look around at other 14-inch pans.None of them even come close and are more than likely at least double the weight.

Its only handicap is as you've probably already guessed its lack of a lid.Fortunately, the workaround is easy -just use the lid from the pan you are/will be replacing (as you won't be using it anymore once you discover the versatility of this pan). Also, it's important to note that you don't need a full 14" lid. With the pan's sloping sides, a smaller lid will work just fine.

***UPDATE #1*** May 9th, 2012

Wok is still in good condition.Teflon has worn a bit, non-stick efficacy isn't as great as when new but nonetheless working. So far, no flaking or other signs of concern.

I use cooking spray when I make eggs, but otherwise not terribly needed.

I should mention that I've been using OXO Good Grips Silicone Flexible Pancake Turner since I bought it.I don't believe there's a better spatula for this pan.

***UPDATE #2*** November 6th, 2012

Wok's non-stick ability is nearly gone, I use cooking spray every time. The pan's condition otherwise is fine.Handles aren't loose and other than the poor non-stick efficacy, the pan works.

It should be mentioned that this pan has had, and is still under HEAVY use. Also, I've thoughtlessly left my electric stove turned on with the pan on top more than a couple of times raising the temperature much higher than its directed/intended use.I'm sure that wasn't good for the teflon coating.

Swiss Diamond Cast-Aluminum Nonstick 9.5 inch Breakfast Pan

Swiss Diamond Cast-Aluminum Nonstick 9.5 inch Breakfast PanI recently bought a Swiss Diamond Saute Pan on the basis of a limited lifetime warranty and this claim in the product description:

"Swiss Diamond cookware features a revolutionary new non-stick incorporating diamond crystals ... to form a virtually indestructible non-stick cooking surface that will not crack, blister or peel. So durable its metal utensil safe."

After my experience using this pan I take issue with the terms "virtually indestructible" and "metal utensil safe" and feel that I have been deceived.

I've followed Swiss Diamond use and care instructions *to the letter* but not long after I started using the pan the surface became pockmarked. I would submit that the product is certainly neither "virtually indestructible" nor "metal utensil safe."

Interestingly their lifetime warranty does not cover "scratch marks," which is puzzling because they've just claimed it's"virtually indestructible" and "metal utensil safe." How is a"virtually indestructible" and "metal utensil safe" surface going to get scratch marks on it? Maybe they know something we don't?

After ONE use, the finish on this pan started peeling off in soft little black balls. It showed scrap marks all over the surface that looked exactly like a TEFLON pan.I used a pair of very flimsy aluminum tongs to turn some pasta in a sauce in this pan.

We had purchased an entire 7-piece set, and just resturned the whole thing. There's research on the internet about the deceptive marketing and false claims this brand makes.DO NOT BUY THIS, IT'S A RIP OFF!!!You're better off with a cheap teflon-coated pan if you really, really want a non-stick surface.

Buy Swiss Diamond Cast-Aluminum Nonstick 9.5 inch Breakfast Pan Now

Swiss Diamond touts that you can treat this pan as any normal pan, using metal utensils and you won't have to worry about it flaking like low quality non stick pans.

We used it delicately and used only non-stick utensils and it flaked within weeks of the first use.It took them 6 weeks to replace it under warranty. After receiving a 2nd pan we used it even more carefully to protect our investment in a "quality pan" and it flaked almost immediately.

This times after waiting months for a reply the company would not back there warranty and the pan went in the trash.

Don't waste your money or health this pan is nothing more than a cheap non-stick pan.

Cuisinart 66-14 Chef's Classic Nonstick Hard-Anodized 14-Piece Cookware Set

Cuisinart 66-14 Chef's Classic Nonstick Hard-Anodized 14-Piece Cookware SetI am an avid home chef & treasure high-quality cookware. These are great! They are thinner (but harder) than many brands, which I truly love. Lower heat settings can be used for comparable results in other cookware, which saves energy, money, & severity of burns if the user is accident prone.

Some things to know:

1. These pans are designed to be hung on a rack. Hanging does save your cookware from a lot of those small injuries caused to them by stacking.

2. The Quantanium non-stick finish is like Teflon on steroids! I use about 1/4 the oil/butter I normally used in the older versions of Teflon. As mentioned above, a lower heat setting is also necessary. These are very easy to clean (except the stainless steel "buttons" where the handles are attached everything sticks well there).

3. Although they say "Metal Utensil Safe", DON'T! Save the metal utensils for your cast iron & stoneware.

4. Non-stick cooking spray tends to eat finish on pans. Preserve them by washing well with soap & water as soon as they are cool. TIP: NEVER, EVER put a sizzling hot pan in water or dump cool water into it! This causes warping that basically ruins the pan. Move the pan to an unused burner & let it cool naturally before washing.

5. With the small steamer insert, never fill the pan over one inch above the bottom of the insert. With the stockpot insert, 2 inches. This can be pushed to nearly 3, but the mess from overfilling is big.

6. Enjoy & care for these pans! You won't ever have to buy replacements for them as long as you don't abuse them.

I purchased this 14pc set of cuisinart pots and pans, after many comparisons and shopping around. I was initially more interested in purchasing Circulon Elite, but I wasn't too happy with the sizes offered in the set. Anyway, I am extremely happy that I purchased this set instead and here's why...

The price is great! This is a high quality product! There are 14pc included and they are all in useable sizes, the only additional thing you many need is a 12"skillet, but I have been fine without one so far. The 4 quart saute pan is wonderful!!! And I absolutely love the steamer basket, that was a huge selling point for me because I steam veggies everyday! I am very impressed with everything about these pots and pans! The non-stick finish has been very durable so far, and extremely easy to clean. They cook evenly with no hot spots, etc. One important thing to note that makes this set different than most other hard anodized cookware, is that these are made with an aluminum core. So they have a hard anodized exterior and a non-stick interior, but the aluminum core makes them quite a bit lighter in weight to most other products. I consider this to be a positive thing, I don't need to break my wrist washing a pan. But if you use your pans as weapons, consider something else. =) The exterior finish is awesome, its a smooth hard anodized finish and very easy to maintain. Another review complained about the exterior, that "it looked cheap and no matter how she cleaned them they looked bad"... well, she's crazy!!! These look awesome!!! The clear lids are very helpful, although they do tend to get hot so using a rag when lifting is advisable. But handles on the pans seem to stay cool, no problem.

Anyway, if you are considering this cookware and are comparing it to more expensive brands, then save your money! You will not be disappointed with this purchase!

I got these on sale last week from Amazon at .Totally worth it.They are nice and heavy, heat evenly and the non-stick is amazing. You can put them in the dishwasher but it makes the outside of the pan turn a chalky dappled grey color. You really should hand wash them unless you don't give a crap how the outside looks.

The metal and glass lids can get hot while cooking but that's why they make over mitts but the great thing is, since these pans do not have the rubber coated saftey handles you can transfer from stove top to oven for a broil without having to worry about ruining your handles [like the old Revere Ware].

Update: 2009 and the pans have not yet fallen apart. The larger cookpot is showing some wear on the nonstick finish after heavy use.I also admit to using metal utensils on the product. The lids are in great shape and have not cracked or chiped and all the metal handles are still bright and shiny and not loose depite me washing them in the dishwasher.

I never write reviews, but this one is worth it!Cleanup is a snap, even baked on cheese.Normally I dread cleaning pans and just toss them in the dishwasher.I did abide by the instructions and washed them by hand.Egg, grease, baked on cheese, you name it.A little hot water and soap under the faucet does the trick.

I'm tossing my other pans.

Want Cuisinart 66-14 Chef's Classic Nonstick Hard-Anodized 14-Piece Cookware Set Discount?

15 years out of school and in desperate need of new pans, I researched for months on cookware brands, materials, pan-types and price. I purchased the Cuisinart 14-piece set based on my research & the enthusiastic commentary of so many other long-time users.

In every day use, this Cuisinart cookware has met my expectations. All of the pans including the skillets can be used with the lids included in the set. You won't get as many lids as pans, but having a perfectly-fitting lid on hand for both the 8" & 10" skillet is rare, and really nice.

The cookware pieces are attractive, well-made and perform exactly as described by the manufacturer. A smooth finish inside and out means that hand-washing is easy; food just does not stick in the pans. The rivets are easy to clean, too -these are big pluses since my schedule does not allow for much additional time for chores.

I tend to use medium to medium-high heats for most dishes, and haven't needed high heat to get quick & even results. I don't have a kitchen large enough to hang the cookware pieces, so I stack/nest them in my cupboard, using Wonderliner padded shelf inserts between them to mitigate against any scratching. However, the Cuisinart Cookware's nonstick surface has been quite durable and the set shows no signs of interior nor exterior wear.

The steamer insert is great for vegetables and Asian dumplings (I never use the pasta insert.) I couldn't find the steamer insert sold separately, and you can't use a metal fan basket steamer on the nonstick surface, so buy the 14or 17piece sets to receive it. I use wood and silicone-based utensils with the set.

I own other cookware (Cuisinart Multiclad, Staub & Le Creuset) to cover a full range of cooking needs. Nonstick is essential for certain applications; all in all, it truly has been a terrific set for me.

General Electric 169216 Deep 12" x 15" Non-Stick Digital Skillet Black

General Electric 169216 Deep 12' x 15' Non-Stick Digital Skillet BlackWe ate at a friend's house for Sichuan Hot Pot, This skillet is truly a star. It is fast in heating, easy to adjustThe only thing I'm not very happy with it is the cap smells a little bit toxic.

After a while of using it, I discovered some problem with this pot. First of all, it's square, so it's hard to estimate how much water to put in sometimes. A good estimate will be to hit the lowest line.(that's already a lot of water added). Secondly, the teflon coating is easy to scratch, so you probably want to buy a wooden spoon to go with this pot. Thirdly, the cord is really short, it's only an arm's length. Fourthly, it's hard to clean because flipping it over is impossible.

Overall, it's huge pot, it can contain lots of stuff. It's meant for social cooking!

My daughter has one; and wealways use GE products and this one is light weight and easy to use.

I love my G.E. electric skillet (fry pan). The actual depth of the pan itself is 3 1/2", which is great for making homefries. You have plenty of room to flip them without potatoes going everywhere. This is my 3rd G.E. electric skillet. The others still work, but after many years of use they have "retired" as my fish fry pans.My new one stays in the kitchen. Thanks for the quick shipping!!

I'm overall very satisfied with this skillet. It heats evenly and I like that it isn't as thin as the others I've looked at.The temperature control is well designed. My only complaint is why is the cord so short? What's up with that?

Nordic Ware 2 Burner Griddle 10-1/4-Inch by 17-1/2-Inch

Nordic Ware 2 Burner Griddle 10-1/4-Inch by 17-1/2-InchFirst of all I take the blame for trying to get a very inexpensive griddle. This griddle is appropriate for camping only & is not suitable for big weekend breakfasts at home. The griddle is quite lightweight (again, great for camping) but slides all over the top of my stove while maneuvering food. Flipping a pancake becomes a tricky activity especially because this griddle doesn't have a true handle to steady it.

The reviewer that said this gridle is "big" must be cooking for one person because I don't find that I can fit much more on it than I did with my 11x11" griddle pan that I was trying to replace. My plan was to be able to fix a breakfast for 2 adults and a toddler all at one time so we could all have a HOT breakfast together. Instead I find that I am still eating last because I still can't fit more than 5 small pancakes on the griddle at one time, let alone bacon or eggs.

I recommend this only if you're looking for a small and portable griddle for camping/RVing. If you are cooking at home for 2 or more people then invest a few more dollars for higher quality and a larger griddle size.

Bought this double griddle for our double burner coleman camp stove. It is a perfect fit. Large enough to cook sausage and eggs or pancakes at the sametime. Heats evenly, non stick, and light weight. We did however use non-stick cooking spray with it, I have learned from experience that nothing is completely non-stick. Clean up was a breeze. And store very well with our camping gear.

I really like this griddle.I bought one at a thrift store back in the early 90's and used it until this past year (2008) when it started to look scratched finally and the nonstick wasn't working as well.I think these products from NordicWare are still made in the USA which is very cool.I use this on the stovetop but most of the time I use it to bake everything you can imagine in the oven.Cookies too.I love it and hope this one lasts me another ten years!

This griddle is huge!I can make an entire enormous breakfast on it at once. One of my favorite things is making giant pancakes on it, two at a time. It's just plain big.

This griddle is light weight and will barely cover 2 burners on a stove top. The previous reviewer who identified this as a camping griddle is accurate.

The heat was even and the food was cooked well. However, after the very first use the non-stick coating has begun to peel off at the edges of the pan. I will probably get another two-dozen or so uses out of it before it has to be recycled. Will shell out for a more expensive grill next time.

Le Creuset 3-Ply Stainless Steel Nonstick Omelette Pan

Le Creuset Tri-Ply Stainless Steel 8-Inch Nonstick Omelet PanGreat product Le Creuset. We own several other sets and this was not disappointing. Perfect weight distribution, beautiful finish and a perfect size for individual omelets.

The item arrived fast, well packaged, undamaged.

I would recommend this item. It isn't cheap but the quality and the fact that it will last for a very long time will make up the difference between this, and a less expensive pan.

I fell in love with LeCreuset cast iron pots, so when I wanted to replace my stainless set, I looked into LeCreuset tri-ply. I cook every day, and I have been very very pleased with my tri-ply set. Comfortable handles, easy-pour edges, and of course, even heating from heavy-duty high-quality pots and pans. At the time we bought the new set, we also ordered a non-stick pan because we go through omelet pans every couple years. Most recently, we bought Calphalon non-stick. BUT, the new LeCreuset are far superior to any we've ever had, plus, a 10-year warranty on the non-stick coating is very generous. This surface is the smoothest I've every used. It feels oiled, even when spotlessly clean. After loving our small omelet pan, we bought this larger one for scrambled eggs, sauteed veggies, and grilled sandwiches. We use it almost daily. Although the material says dishwasher safe, I prefer tohand-wash it, and it cleans up with just a wipe with a sponge. We use one or both of our LeCreuset non-stick pans almost every day, and they are terrific pans. I recommend them without reservation.

The omelet pan works really well. Easy to get the right shape and thickness. The non-stick surface worked and the clean-up was easy.

I don't have this exact one. Mines much older. It has close to a 100,000 miles on it, used almost daily, put in in the dishwasher regularly, and not a chip on it. No nasty Teflon either.

Steven Raichlen Best of Barbecue Stainless Paella Pan

Steven Raichlen Best of Barbecue Stainless Paella PanThis is a great stainless pan, good quality, great price, very fast shipping! My only problem is that in the measurements it says it is a 16" pan, and no where does it specify that the measurement is from handle to handle. While it doesn't hurt my feelings to have a nice Paella pan, I purchased it to be a lid to my 15" cast iron skillet and sadly it won't work for that.

This pan is great. I have used it twice in the grill and still in mint condition. Is for 2-4 people. I will get a larger size later on for anytime we have more guests!

Thought I was getting a heavy duty Grill resistant Paella pan.Paid 40 dollars for a 15 dollar flat bottomed wok. No rolled edge, so it potentially could cut me when washing, because it's sharp. Warped when I put it on the stove top so the bottom became rounded and it wobbled as it cooked. Not sure why, but the stainless steel stunk after I cooked on it, and still stunk after I washed it.Not impressed with the quality.Looks like a chinese cheap wok with a flat bottom.Won't be using it on the grill anytime soon. Sorry Sorry Mr. Reichland, not going to be buying the brand anytime soon again.

Farberware Specialties Aluminum Nonstick 8-Inch Skillet, Platinum

Farberware Specialties Aluminum Nonstick 8-Inch Skillet, PlatinumI'm really happy with the Faberware Classic skillet.I purchased an 8-inch and a 10-inch skillet and I'm no chef but I the skillets seem to me to be good quality. They heat evenly and the best part is they are non-stick which means they are really, really easy to clean. Not only do they cook good, but they look nice as well and compliment any modern kitchen with their sleek, comfortable design.

I bought the 8,10,& 12 inch pans & they are very nice. Very easy to cook in & the easiest to clean i have ever used. I would recommend these to anyone.

I gave this pan one star because it has a nice look to it. The first time I used it at medium heat the food stuck to the pan. I said to myself this is impossible, so a second try and again the food stuck, this is again on medium heat and using a little oil. This might be the worst non stick pan ever!!

Texsport Cast Iron Fish Fry/Large Casserole Pan

Texsport Cast Iron Fish Fry/Large Casserole PanIt is extremely hard to find wide pans for shrimp frying. Unless you come across an antique you are out of luck...until now. This pan is perfect for propane burner frying of chips, shrimp, soft shells, etc. Good quality and good size.

We've been very happy with this cast iron piece. Make sure you season it well. If well-seasoned, it is perfect for cooking fish dishes, or use the lid on the stove to make pancakes. Exactly what I was seeking.

The temp control never raised the temperature high enough for frying. I could have returned it but it was too big a hassle but I did write the company to let them know. I did not have high expectations at the outset and should have known that the price was too low for the quality I expected. Problem is that few people carry items designed for small households and shopping on the internet is a crap shoot.

Have prepared for long-term use many types of non-stick products. Don't remember any giving up so soon. Used this little, otherwise practical, handy and pleasant pan for frying a cutup slice of spam and then adding eggs ovaeasy mix. The third morning, the egg began sticking to the pan, and it takes awhile for my nylon spatula to gently scrape of the baked-on residue. Not at allwhat one would expect, but still in use.

For the price its a ok product, I needed the size to use for a non-food item, (not a lot of options out there in this size) however its very thin and elements on bottom get hot, so I place a thick piece of tile underneath. and never leave pluged in and walk away. For my purpose it works fine, but need to be attentive while using it for safety
