What is 304 surgical stainless steel? The 304 surgical stainless steel contains about 18% chromium and a higher percentage of nickel than "ordinary" stainless steel. The popularity of 304 surgical stainless steel is due to its gleaming appearance which lasts for the life of a product. Its excellent corrosion resistance is due to an invisible, passive oxide film that forms on the metal's surface in air. Sometimes 304 surgical stainless is referred to as T304.
8 advantages of 304 surgical stainless steel
1.corrosion resistance
2 economy
3 temperature resistance
4 beauty
5 durability
6 design flexibility

The 9 element steam control system makes cooking as easy as. . .
1 start cooking on medium heat
2 listen for the whistle
3 close the valve, turn heat to low and simmer to finish cooking
YOU CAN STACK THEM
A picture I uploaded above illustrates how you might cook a roast or chicken with potatoes & carrots in the bottom, a vegetable in the middle pan and another vegetable in the top pan. When stack cooking, remember to always start cooking each individual pan on a burner until you hear the steam valve whistle, then close the valve and stack to finish cooking.Heat is transferred from the bottom pan to the top.

I found the pans easier to clean than my 18/10 stainless steel cookware and almost as easy to clean as my 316Titanium Saladmaster.I wonder if those having difficulties followed the written instructions for how to care and clean your cookware:"In case particles of food become burned in your pan, fill the pan with hot water in a hot pan, cold water in a cold pan, and let soak. The scorched particles should easily lift off. If a stubborn burn has been created, partly fill the pan with water and bring to a boil.use a wooden spoon to remove such burned particles. If a stain still remains, it can easily be removed with a good stainless steel cleaner."I haven't had much burn in my pan because i am not frying in them or using over high heat, I am following the directions for low-pressure waterless oil-less cooking.

This cookware is a delight to use.Roasts are very tender.Vegetable cook with almost no water.Oatmean and Puddings cook without sticking.Overall these pots work as they should. They take some getting used re: how long to cook and overall I was surprised at how quickly they cook vegetables.I found that if I waited for the valve to "whistle" then the veggies would burn and overcook, so instead as soon as I see steam coming out of the valve I close it and turn down to simmer. That works well.Biggest problem is the round metal whistle piece that fits into the pot handle falling out into the food during cooking. This happens constantly and I've given up pressing them back in and just leave them out now.Want Maxam KT17 17-Piece 9-Element Surgical-Stainless-Steel Waterless Cookware Set Discount?
I fell in "want" with the nifty "waterless" cookware at the state fair, and drooled for years at the demos, but just couldn't justify the $2000-$3000 price tag. I knew I really wanted stainless steel pans, something heavy-duty, and that waterless cooking would be a plus. After LOTS of research, and many e-mails and calls to various manufacturers, distributors, etc. I decided to try this set I couldn't even find a decent set of regular stainless cookware for this price, much less waterless. Worst case scenario would be that I would have a decent heavy set of stainless steel pots and the waterless part might be a bust.
But it wasn't. Right off the bat, I was amazed at how colorful and flavorful my vegetables were, in less time and very little water (waterless cooking should actually be called less-water cooking in most cases). The carrots were awesome! I can cook meats and vegetables in the same pot, sort of in layers, in less time than conventional cooking the steam control valve provides a sort of low-pressure pressure-cooker effect, cooking the foods in less or no liquid in less time. Meats sear to the bottom, then release as they cook, in no liquid and clean up is easy. Even foods that seem to be "stuck," like the little browned parts of fried potatoes, soak off in minutes and clean easily. Anything that doesn't remove completely in water comes off readily with a Brillo-type pad (hooray for stainless steel!).
Something else I appreciated was that the sizes were ALL good sizes for our growing/larger family of ten. So many sets include little pans as standard, then charge a fortune for add-ons like 3-qt saucepans, etc. This set gave me four saucepans, a pretty big frying pan (just under 12 inch), plus the biggest Dutch oven I'd ever seen, at over 7 quarts! And the smallest saucepan is almost 2 quarts, so it's actually useful. The egg poaching insert with easy-clean cups is a bonus; great for quick breakfasts!
I have had my pots and pans for over ten years and they get HEAVY use. They still look great and work wonderfully. These are the pots and pans my daughters want for their kitchens. We liked the set so well that we wanted to make
this cookware available to our friends for their kitchens.
Combine this heavy duty stainless steel set with a few Kuhn Rikon pressure cookers for a well-outfitted kitchen!
By the way, this same manufacturer has another line besides Steam Control, but the distributors I "interrogated" said the others aren't quite the top of the line that these are. These should be the last pots you'll ever need!
To use the steam control valve, start cooking on medium to med-high heat (don't use high heat unless boiling something, like pasta water). Then when the valve begins to whistle (like a teakettle), close the valve and turn the heat down to low and finish cooking. The 9-element construction allows you to stack cook with this cookware (although I have not personally tried this): Begin cooking on individual burners and when the valve whistles you can invert the lids to stack the pans to finish cooking. The handles are resistant to heat, cold, and detergents.
I've been amazed at how easy-release they are even though they aren't "non stick," and they clean up very easily. And if you think you can't cook eggs in SS, think again. I have photos of eggs cooked with a thin lecithin/oil film (like Pam) and I don't even have to touch the pan with a spatula to slide the eggs out. Just don't cook above medium heat.(The one thing you need to remember is that they arrive with a thin coat of factory oil over them, so you should wash them really well before first use or they could slightly discolor from cooking the oil all over the outside.)
I also use my Kuhn Rikon pressure cookers DAILY, by the way. The KR cookers and my SS cookware are a great combination.

I am well satisfied with this product. The pot has a heavy coating which prevents sticking and with the heavy coating it looks like it will last quite a while. This saucepan is very good quality with a reasonable price.I would defintely recommend it to others.
Great pot that cleans easy, but the pictures and description are out of date or lacking at this writing.
The new model is nicely enhanced but not if you don't want the undisclosed changes.
I will review the notable differences first.

SMALL POUR SPOUTS ----on both side of the pan and deep lid with dual sized lid strainers.
Turn the lid to expose holes (Two sizes) in the edge for venting or pouring chrome or Stainless Steel (? the glass lid, deep metal edge, is not aluminum and not magnetically attracted).
Another product on Amazon has larger spouts and strainers.

I am glad to have this pot and at under 20 dollars it is a steal to me.
Next Some changes from old reviews.
Another review shows a different non-ridged bottom, more likely to slide.
It now comes with a flat bottom with concentric quarter inch grooves and the contact areas to the stove have the same slight texture and finish as the sides.
It has a bend/curve between base and sides to prevent cooking or cleaning problems a sharper edge could cause.
The pot and lid handles are large and nicely protected from heating up.
Non-stick interior and exterior with a heavy glass cover.
There is NO temperature gage at the bottom of the pot.
---------------
Another reviewer points out he "bought a dishwasher-safe nonstick pan, to find that the labeling on this one actually recommends hand washing instead. If cleaned in the dishwasher, it advises you to re-season it every 10 washes."
Seems everyone has to say dishwasher-safe to make a sale now days. Just don't do it.
If something is not stainless steel or glass like take "dishwasher-safe" to mean "it doesn't hurt the dishwasher" and just clean by hand.
It really cleans up easy.

These are general remarks from printed instructions under shipping cardboard.

Enjoy! Not for Glass top stove, I don't know if it didn't mention it or if I just missed it in the description. The bottom of the pan isn't smooth, but the rest of the pot is fine.

Like a couple previous reviewers, I bought this to use as an ultralight backpacking pot. It's a perfect companion to my homemade Super Cat stove. The wider base makes for efficient heat distribution, and it has plenty of volume (~30oz or 32oz filled to the brim) for a freeze dried meal and coffee or tea for one or two people. Weight without the handle is 2.9oz/83g.

Norpro 11.5 Inch Nonstick Dutch Baby Pan
Gave it only 4 stars because with the Dutch Babies (which we bought it for) they never seem to rise all the way up with this pan. Cast iron skillet still seems the best way to do the Dutch Baby, but this is a great light weight alternative that can be used for other cooking/baking as well. The pan worked great for my Dutch Baby pancakes.I did use a plastic utensil to remove it from the pan and it still got scratched my first time out.Be careful, the pan coating isn't extremely tough.

I really like the size and shape of this pan. Some of the non-stick coating scraped off easily during the first use, and some more came off when washing it after the second use. That's my only complaint, and I still think it's a good value for the price (just be VERY careful with the non-stick coating).

This pan does exactly what it's intended for makes great Dutch Baby Pancakes. They are very easy to make and the varieties are endless; Our first batch was done with blueberries and topped with fresh whipped cream and honey delicious.I didn't experience any of the problems other reviewers had.I didn't have any problems with the pancakes rising to the top of the pan; could be a function of the recipe. Also, the non-stick surface worked perfectly the pancakes slid right out of the pan onto a serving plate; no utensils were needed, so I didn't experience any of the scratching that other reviewers reported.
If you want to make dutch baby pancakes, I recommend this pan. This pan works great.Just as advertised. Makes thes best dutch apple pancake.Be sure to not use it on top of the stove, for oven only.
Circulon Infinite Hard Anodized Nonstick 8-Inch Skillet
I swore off all non-stick pans ages ago after realizing I was eating eggs sprinkled with chemical teflon flakes.I finally broke down to get something non-stick and small after breaking the 100th fried egg in an all-clad 6" stainless steel skillet (which are top of the line pans).
Pan received, immediately washed with soap, water and then....the tests!
Test 1:Put pan on stove, gas, moderate heat, broke one egg in pan, no oil, no nothing, salt, pepper.Used a plastic spatula to flip and on purpose was not careful, either cracking the egg or flipping.Another minute on other side and simply "slid" the egg from the pan to plate.Surprise!Egg was perfect over easy, Not broken at all, not even a risk of breakage, evenly cooked, white done, yolk "yolky", exactly as you'd get from your favorite greasy spoon, but....without the grease.Wow.
Test 2:I pre-make frozen hamburger patties with 93% lean and pre-spiced.93% lean is notorious to be dry but it can make a super tasy, juicy burger if cooked right.I used super high lean to avoid the fat of burgers. To the pan testpulled one patty out the freezer and threw it in the pre-heated pan, medium heat, like a slug.Let it cook for 4 minutes.Hambuger bottom perfectly carmelized, flipped, top perfectly carmelized, inside medium and beyond belief tasty. All of the juices stayed inside the burger, moist, flavorful, blowing away in taste, juicyness, any "fat burger" that one might crave.
Test 3:Cheesy max grilled ham and cheese with grilled tomatoes.Put tomato slices in pan, they slid out after a little sear.Created sandwich, very little butter on outside bread, now tomatoes inside.Bread perfectly grilled, even brown, toasted, not burned. My favorite thing is to squish the grilled ham and cheese to ooze out the cheesy goodness from the side and make sure it all melts to lovely cheesey everywhere.Guess what, none of the cheese burned or stuck to the pan, yet was all melted.Wow.Cheesy, stringy melted cheese, out the sides of a grilled sandwich, no burn on cheese or bread, ham cooked, little sear when going past the bread of the sandwidch, the entire ham & cheese was perfectly grilled and nothing stuck to the pan.Nothing better than a gooey stringy grilled ham & cheese with grilled tomatoes inside.
This pan is a keeper!I have put it in the dishwasher as advertised and so far, so good, like new. This is not a typical nonstick, there are no fumes, no funky smell, no nothing (visible or to the nose), the nonstick is super strong, seemingly "bond" or has some sort of binding integrated into the other metal of the pan construction. Most nonstick to me looks llike someone hit a cheap pan with a spray can of coating and this one isn't constructed like that at all.It also washes with two strokes of a sponge, which sure beats chiseling out stuck cheese, eggs, brunt grease and so on with other pans! We'll have to see how long the pan lasts but this sure isn't your typical non-stick so far.Other features, clearly well conducting on heat and the heat is even too.

I bought this pan because of all the excellent reviews, but I don't reach for it much. It's a nice pan, heavy, very non-stick, would be excellent for low fat diets/cooking. My guess is with the reviews of under 3 stars, they probably used oil or butter in it rendering it un-usable. The directions clearly state NOT to use butter or oil. That's where my biggest issue comes in as I eat low carb and can have butter and oil, but I can't if I use this pan and want to keep it nice. So, I've tried some eggs, they slide right out of the pan with no effort what so ever, but to me, without the added butter taste, they were kinda bland. Don't really have an interest in sauteeing veggies without butter or olive oil, so that's out. The pan's rather small, thought it would be larger, so can only cook small amounts in it. I've used it about 4 times, once it was too small so what I was cooking was going over the edge when I was gently stirring it, and once, out of 4 times, the handle got hot (wasn't over another lit burner or anything). The other 3 times the handle was fine. It really is a nice little pan if you are trying to remove some fat from your diet, it's just not for me.Want Circulon Infinite Hard Anodized Nonstick 8-Inch Skillet Discount?
We decided on the Cirulon Infinite cookware after looking at a lot of other brands. The quality and versatility makes this affordable (a relative term, I know) line of cookware a great value. After 6 months of heavy use, we are more than pleased with the durability and performance.
* Very Thick Bottoms Allows for even heating of cooking surface
* Great Nonstick Surface Really nonstick, no issues at all DO NOT use nonstick sprays or "heavy oils" as these will ruin the nonstick properties (read the instructions)!
* Requires Less Oils We were able to cut way back on the amount of cooking oils we use
* Durable
* Oven Safe
* Dishwasher Safe
*Important* Follow the manufactures instructions and you will have great results.

All-Clad Copper Core 2-Quart Saucier Pan with Lid
Performs just as well as its 1-quart cousin, only the rivets are more proportionate and don't get in the way of your stirring. This thing gets hot fast, and that heat carries all the way up the sides, so you need to make sure you keep them scraped down (anything left stuck to them during cooking, including oil, will bake right on and become very difficult to remove without harsh abrasives that can damage the finish) and always use a towel or pot holder when grabbing for the lid--it will be nearly as hot as the pan itself.
I think anyone who makes candies or custards should own this thing. The evenness of heating is tough to beat and that smooth slope on the bottom makes getting your stirring implement down into those corners a trivial task.

This review is for the 3 qt saucier.I was looking for a 3 qt vessel and was waffling between the saucepan and the saucier.I ended up with this saucier and I am very happy with my decision. This is wider and lower than a saucepan and lets me have a better view into the pot.It also has a curved bottom to allow for easier whisking, and it's easier for the heat to come up the sides this way, too.I figure that anything I would need the saucepan for, the saucier will work nicely for as well.I love the shape of it.
The copper core comes with a lip a key feature for me.Also, it comes with a helper loop in this size, which is also important to me.I don't really consider myself a weakling, but carrying around a heavy pot of hot food (especially something liquidy) is just not something I want to do with one long handle alone.
This size comes with a lid (which fits great) and clean-up has been easy even when I accidentally boiled some water dry in it (yikes!).Gotta love Bar Keepers Friend Cookware Cleanser & Polish!
Love it.
Cuisinart Dishwasher Safe Hard Anodized Open Skillet
I bought this skillet as a gift to mom on Christmas in 2011, and she literally uses it EVERY time she cooks on the stovetop, which is nearly every day/night. I have also used it many times, and I must say that I have never seen such a perfect and truly non-stick skillet. We fry rice in it and don't need to scrape anything out. Just tilt the skillet a little and 100% of of the rice slides right out without any help from a spatula. It's handled fried chicken, thick, boiling sauces and anything else you can think of that might normally stick, and no amount of scraping has ever been necessary for cleaning.
There isn't much else I can say about this except that it performs exactly the way it's advertised. My mom wants a second one of these and would happily toss all of her pots and pans for a full set. I can't knowingly say that this skillet will last forever, but it's still as perfect as it was nearly a year and a half ago when it was new, so I can't imagine it ever losing it's non-stick properties, or at least not in the next few years.
One thing I can't comment on is how the dishwasher might affect it. It doesn't fit in my mom's dishwasher, so it has always been washed by hand.
Considering the success my mom has had, you may want to wash it by hand instead of using a dishwasher, just because that's never been a problem for us.
And, of course, don't use metal cooking utensils when you can avoid it, and never submerge any hot pan in water unless it's your goal to destroy it.

That's direct from GreenPan. I got mine at Target and loved it so much I bought the rest of the set. Nothing sticks to them, and I mean nothing. I've burnt eggs on it just for the fun of it and it comes off with water and a little finger rubbing. This is the only dish I don't throw through the dishwasher simply because it's just too easy to clean.
And let me add, I'm no expect at non-stick pan cleaning. I'm used to cast iron pans. After a year of daily cooking and cleaning this pan doesn't show any scratches. So bottom line, these pans do as they promise. Perhaps they should be bought from official outlets to ensure you're actually getting the right product. Otherwise, you won't regret buying these pans. I haven't.
For their official site.i have the 12 inch stainless steel version which i got for christmas. 4 months later and the non-stick aspect has essentially failed. the coating is still in tact, but many things, tofu in particular, are sticking to the surface. we have had non-stick pans in the past, and all but the cheapest the surface held up well. We were not novices to the care of this stuff. We were excited about this one with the non-PFOA coating. It worked great at the start, but quickly declined. Our use of a nylon scrubby when stuff started to stick appears to have hastened its demise. Still, for a viable option these things need to be more robust. An average stainless steel skillet works better at this point. Sad.

We've been using this pan for a couple of months.I must say that this pan has not performed up to the same standards as some of the other reviewers, and yet not as poorly as the rest.We own all kinds of pans, le crueset, all clad, teflon (now discarded), cast iron, traditional carbon steel woks.We love them all.The greenPan I must say I'm on the fence about. We purchased this to make eggs, nothing cooks eggs like teflon, it just glides off.We decided to replace our teflon pan when the handle broke and looked for something environmentally friendly.
We do some light sauteing in this pan, and veggies and bits of meat are fine in this.but when we cook eggs....it needs more oil and it definitely sticks. Not horribly, but it does stick, bits of egg are left behind when i remove the egg when using a half teaspoon of oil and spreading it out with a brush. Infact, I think my le crueset pans perform on par if not better, but they are too heavy to flip omelettes.I'm confused by a reviewer who said that their eggs just slide off even without any oil. That's definitely not the case here.
However, it does clean up easily. While i can fry the same egg in an All Clad with sufficient oil, but where this pan excels is the clean up.Despite fried rice bits and egg stuck on the surface, with hot water and some soap it cleans up beautifully. For that I'll give it 3 stars despite it not being fully non-stick.

I have a set of Allclad cookware that I hardly ever use since I got the Greenpans,I am very satisfied with them and would recommend them to anyone.Thank you David G Morgan.
Nordic Ware 2-Burner Nonstick Reversible Grill Griddle, 20 by 10-3/4 Inch
I was looking for a large grill/griddle that was non-stick, it was almost impossible to find at a fair price.
I thought that the Nordic grill was the one for me...
It is a good grill in that it has a nice size and heats up very well, but the REAL PROBLEM is that it is NOT NON-STICK!!
I don't know what Nordic's idea of non-stick is but this ain't it!If you don't use some Pam spray on it and your grill any meat on it, I promise you IT WILL STICK to the grill! I made that mistake the first time I used it and I nearly had to sandblast the crud off of it and almost ruined the finish. Buyer beware.

This one of the most difficult non-stick items I've ever encountered even when treated with cooking spray. I must say it heats up nicely, but I HATE cleaning it. It will be yard sale item soon.Read Best Reviews of Nordic Ware 2-Burner Nonstick Reversible Grill Griddle, 20 by 10-3/4 Inch Here
I would have given this no stars but it won't let me. This non-stick griddle has more things stick to it than tape.It is simply the worst product I have purchased in a long time.I have this "non-Stick" griddle for just about a month and it is ready for the trash. The non-stick is coming up on the flat end and the griddle is worthless, it ripped my chicken cutlets to shreds.Don't buy it!!! If you read this and still buy it may you have three horrible meals like I did before it met the old trash can.

I like to grill steak, chops and chicken and have used a George Foreman grill exclusively before purchasing this grill. This piece is a nice alternative to the GF...particularly since it grills one side at a time. The Good...because it sits atop your stove burners, you can adjust the heat setting (though this takes some practice)...which is something the bargain GF grills don't do and the more expensive GF grills do with only a small range of temps.Plus, if you span it across two burners, you can have one end set to a grilling temp and the other end set to a "keep warm" temp. No grill is easy to clean, but this one's easier than a GF type.
The Bad...though it has a non-stick coating, you should still use a non-sticking spray (Pam).
The Jury's still out...I wonder how long the non-stick surface will last with it being in direct contact with the carbon heating elements of an electric burner. Also, I doubt I would have used this for a gas burner as you'd have to closely monitor the flame to ensure it doesn't "suffocate" and you're left with a build-up of natural gas.
Weber Style 32903 Professional Grade Grill Pan
The stainless steel will discolor if heated too much, but cleaning is not too bad.The first time I used it without oiling the pan, cleaning needed quite a bit of scrubbing.I ended up using oven cleaner (Easy Off) and it worked pretty well got all the crud off.I now oil the pan before putting it on the grill and clean up is not bad.The advantage of stainless steel is that with a bit of care it will give good service and there is nothing to flake off.
I also bought the veggie basket and use both interchangeably. The lips all around are great, I just use a spatula to lift the veggies to a serving dish.
LOVE: Quality of construction; Cost; Raised lips all around; Material
HATE: Cleanup is tough, but it is no tougher than with so called non-stick pans had one.
Would I recommend it definitely; I plan to replace mine with a similar one when this one goes (or I get tired of it)
I got this to grill veggies and other smaller stuff that might fell through the grates on my gas grill.
After the first couple of uses (and subsequently leaving the pan on the grill for a few days without cleaning it), I noticed some brown discoloration that looked like rust on the surface.
I'm still not sure if it was rust or not, but I got the pan hot and sprayed it with olive oil and wiped it down with some paper towels. That got rid of the rust color and it hasn't come back.
Now the pan is a nice dark brown color, and I just spray with oil and clean it with the brush before use.It stays on the grill or under the grill when not in use.
Other than that, it works as a pan should.Stuff cooks when you put it on there, and it doesn't stick as long as you oil it at a higher temperature than you cook at.

Gets a 4 star since it is hard to clean grilled on residue. The openings mean that food like fish do not slip between the grates of the grill.Heats evenly in accordance with your grill.Only downside is we have to let it soak to get residue off.Non-stick would be better.Read Best Reviews of Weber Style 32903 Professional Grade Grill Pan Here
This grill pan offers best quality for the $$$.Heavy gauge and shallow depth allow for easy turning of vegetables etc.Only complaint is that it a little too large for my Weber BBQ.It leaves very little room for the grilling of other items, i.e. steaks, chicken, etc.

The first thing you'll notice about this product is that the price seems remarkably fair given the quality.
This is truly grilling made easy you can throw anything on this pan and you're good to go: veggies, baked potatoes, flakey fish.
I agree with the other reviewer about cleanup being a little tough, but truly it is no tougher than all the other stainless steel cookware we use it's all a PITA but worth it in the long run.

I bake alot of homemade bread.I prefer the bottom as wide as the top, but these make a delicious loaf of yeast bread.Nice, crisp crust and tender in the middle.I haven't tried them for banana or other sweet breads yet, but the size and shape are perfect.Want Le Creuset Stoneware Loaf Pan, 1-1/4 quart Discount?
I was wary about buying these pans because they seemed very expensive, but I own other Le Creuset cookware so I thought I'd give them a try. When they arrived I was afraid they wouldn't bake my bread loaves very well because they are so thick -I wondered if the heat would penetrate sufficiently. When the bread came out of the oven all fears fled. These pans are so wonderful and well worth the price. The bread crust comes out nicely brown and a little bit crisp while the interior is perfect. I've also used the pans for meatloaf and quick bread. The results are the same -food baked to perfection. Thanks, Le Creuset!

love the color-pretreated-food does not stick-cleans well-arrived in 2 days--husband doesnt care for it because it will not fit in dishwasher-haha-too bad for himThis is a great pot. the only thing that keeps me from giving it five stars is the vent hole. I would prefer the option to have it opened or closed, but it's just a hole. A skewer stick does the trick for me regarding closing it. Other then that it's a good all around little pot.Want T-fal Nonstick Dishwasher Safe Hard Enamel 8-Quart Stock Pot with Glass Lid Cookware Discount?
