All-Clad LTD 12-Inch Round Nonstick Grille Pan

All-Clad LTD 12-Inch Round Nonstick Grille PanI am not a big fan of the All Clad LTD line but I do love this pan.I much prefer the All Clad polished stainless steel line (I have almost every piece and love it). This grill is a perfect size for grilling for 1-4 people.I debated on the grande size, I decided that since I don't grill everyday it didn't make sense to spend the extra money and deal with storing the larger size. Also, I selected the round style over the square, my stove burners are round so I figured that the round style made more sense for me.

I often marinade chicken tenders in Emeril Lagasse's marinade (he has several different marinades that you can find in your local supermarket) a day in advance and heat up this pan and toss on the chicken.I usually make a veggie or two and some rice, it is a very quick and easy dinner and is also very healthy! You can also use this pan for everything from burgers to a tuna steak.

This pan is not dishwasher safe due to the nonstick surface, but don't worry it is a breeze to clean.I have the George Foreman grill that has been sitting in the cabinet collecting dust since I bought this pan.I don't like the George Foreman grill because you can't really wash the grill surface very well. The grill surface should be removable so you can really clean it.This pan is very, very well made and is backed by a lifetime warranty.Sometimes this pan is sold as a special..., if you see it grab it.It is a steal at that price.Once you try All Clad you will be hooked too! Highly recommended! A+!

I've been using grill pans for years and have bought many brands. This is the best one, hands-down.I gave away all five of the others I owned after the first time I used this pan.I love All Clad cookware in general and this is my first non-stick.The results are so superior to any other grill pan I recommend it to everyone. If you want healthy and perfectly prepared grilled food, whether it's fish, meat or vegetables, without a drop of added fat, this pan is for you.Buy it.

I'm a big fan of All-Clad and have a lot of All-Clad LTD and MasterChef pots and pans.I feel All-Clad has a great design methodology and makes great quality gear. Also, their non-stick coating is the best in the business. This grill pan, however, isn't actually clad the secret of its low price. It's made from a single piece of anodized aluminum like a Calphalon pan as a brief examination of the edge reveals. The beefy handle is the most All-Clad thing about it.The nonstick coating isn't the usual All-Clad type either although it certainly is top quality. As a grill pan, this one is very good that's not the problem.

Grill pans make grill marks on your food but are no substitute for actually grilling. There's no smoke flavor or high heat caramelization. The only thing the grill pan gives you is the sear marks. To that end, the nonstick surface fights you.Metal gives much better sear marks than nonstick coatings. In order to get a nonstick pan to give good sear you must really crank the heat up.This makes a lot of smoke which make a good lid a necessity.Sadly, this pan doesn't include a lid.I found that the Calphalon 12" "Everyday" pan's lid is a perfect fit by coincidence so I use it every time.

I have the luxury of a grill outside my kitchen door.I'm the kind of hardy soul who has no problem stepping out in the snow in shirtsleeves to flip the steaks.I find all grill pans to be a very poor substitute to actually grilling.Maybe if I lived in the city and couldn't grill as easily I'd be more enamored of this pan.As it is, I mainly use it under duress (such as during bad rain storms when I reluctantly must grill indoors).

I recently tossed a Calphalon grill pan in the trash after I could not clean it after use. Looking for another grill pan to replace it, I found this gem. I don't know how Amamzon can offer this high quality pan for this price, but grab it. Wonderful heat distribution, very large cook surface and NOTHING sticks!!

I could not believe that I found this pan at this price.I was further astounded when I received it and started cooking on it.It is absolutely fabulous.NY Strip streak comes out truly delicious when you simply sprinkle some salt and cracked pepper on it and then throw it on the grill pan. Also works great for bacon. Also works great for burgers. Also works great for...anything you could think of.For cleaning, I recommend immediately filling it with water after taking the food out, enough to cover all the bottom, and then let it sit til after dinner and you start doing the dishes. If you do this, then I recommend an OXO brush (ASIN B0000CFQOB) with nylon bristles.Gently brush between the grooves to loosen the remaining material and then use a sponge.I recommend the nylon brush because it is hard to get a sponge to get every bit of remaining material along the grooves. But overall this is incredibly easy to clean and even easier to cook on.I still cannot believe I paid only fifty for this item.

KitchenAid Gourmet Essentials Brushed Stainless-Steel Nonstick 8-Inch Open Skillet

KitchenAid Gourmet Essentials Brushed Stainless-Steel Nonstick 8-Inch Open SkilletThis is a good nonstick skillet and it's great that it's dishwasher safe. The only thing I would change is I'd make the skillet sides a little lower. When I slide eggs out, they tend to roll and flip. When I use my other skillets with lower sides, I don't have that problem.Overall, I am very satisfied with it.

I really appreciated reading other people's opinions on the KitchenAid cookware. I have been looking around for a while and was ready to up-date my kitchen utencils when I came across the KitchenAid Gourmet Essentials Brushed Satinless Steel pots-n-pans. I liked what I read about the products and ordered the set along with the 8-inch Nonstick open skillet. My entire family is enjoying cooking with the items. I especially like the soft grip handles that do not get hot when you are cooking. My family and I look forward to many great years of cooking with the new KitchenAid pots-n-pans.

Bialetti Taste of Italy Grande Saute Pan, 14-Inch

Bialetti Taste of Italy Grande Saute Pan, 14-InchMy hubby gave me a Bialetti 14" nonstick pan for a gift and I thought it was ridiculously huge and I'd never use it.Thanks to Julia Child, I now know that the secret to good sauteing is to not crowd your food in the pan as it traps moisture and steams your food rather than caramelizing/sauteing it (also, start with dry, not wet, food).I use this pan several times a week.Hubby bought my pan at Costco but they no longer sell it so I bought this one online for a gift. This model is better than mine because the handle is oven-proof.We call this the "Paul Bunyan" pan because of it's size!If you're looking for a unique kitchen gift, even for the experienced cook, I recommend this pan.

This skillet is such a disappointment! I had purchased a Bialetti 14" skillet about 10 years ago and was trying to replace it. This version weighs about half as much. It doesn't have a helper handle, which is greatly missed for a skillet of this size. The original was made in Italy, this one in China. The original skillet had a nice thick bottom that kept food from burning and the skillet from warping. This new one is pathetic -it's warped so bad you can see the bow along the top rim. This one definitely will not last a decade like the first one. I'm hopeful Bialetti will see the error in the changes they've made and bring back the high quality of the past.

I can tell it's fake because the original pan has logo engraved. this one is light and cheaply done. do not buy from this seller never again!!!!!

Swiss Diamond Saute Pans

Swiss Diamond Nonstick 3.8-Qt. Cast Aluminum Open Sauté PanI've been cooking for over thirty years and can recommend this product without reservation. If you're in the market for a non-stick pan that isn't teflon, this is the pan for you.Even heating, a nice heft without being too heavy and easy cleanup these are some of the qualities of Swiss Diamond.I own a lot of expensive cookware. This brand is rapidly becoming my favorite.

The description for this product does say that it is virtually indestructible, but it does pit and scratch. However, even after the pits and scratches, still nothing sticks while cooking or cleaning! I have used the grill most, and this pan the third most, and I still love it. I also like that its bottom fits perfectly onto my large electric burner. I do wonder of whatever is pitting is coming off and into my food, but my guess is that, yes, it is. I am also guessing that it is diamonds coming out (I wish I could find some and sell themlol). Just like little kids eat rocks all day and nothing comes of it, I am not worried about my health the way I worry about using Teflon.

I've bought several of the Swiss Diamond pans in the past six months. They are holding up beautifully, almost a joy to wash them, and they are a good weight, very stable but not heavy like some ceramic or wrought iron pans. I just used my 10" frying pan in the oven after browning a pork roast in it on the stove top; almost no clean up afterwards. Now to see if they hold up year after year; fingers crossed.

I've had this 4.3 qt. saute pan now for a few months and it's the best skillet I've ever owned. It heats hotter than any other pan I've owned and everything cooks evenly and consistently on the cooking surface of the pan (and a little quicker too).I've not burned anything in it but, have made some things that are a little sticky and the clean up is extremely effortless.

I have not used metal utensils in my pan (and don't plan on doing so); I hope this will be the last skillet I ever have to buy.

I also own the 8" covered skillet and I love that pan as well; it's especially good for cooking eggs, omelets or any small portions of food. I bought this particular pan because it's one of the very few 8" pans I've found that come with a lid (clear, at that).

The lids for these pans are the best because you can see what's going on inside without having to lift the lid.

All in all, nothing sticks to these pans and I'm very satisfied with my purchase. Wish I knew about Swiss Diamond a long time ago.

Calphalon Contemporary Stainless 13-Inch Flat-Bottom Wok

Calphalon Contemporary Stainless 13-Inch Flat-Bottom WokI use this wok on an electric range.I find it works well provided I turn the heat all the way up to high on a big burner. The problem, of course, is electric stoves, not the wok.As far as cooking goes it is great. As long as it is well heated before you start nothing sticks, the bottom heats evenly, and with a little bit of stainless steel polish it stays looking good as new.My one complaint is that a wok really needs a good lid for simmering sauces. This one does not include a lid, and I have not yet found anything that I can use for one.

I think this is like an American Chinese wok, because like one of the reviewer said, it has a small flat bottom. (That's what my parents prefers, because that way it would NOT move around on a stove. Seriously, we brought a bottom ring for out previous Chinese wok, but it still moves around!) So far, this is one of the best wok i seen!

Good: VERY easy to Clean, and easy to use

Good: The height of the wok is perfect for steaming overnight dish (trust me, my dad even go as far as to measure it out himself before purchasing it at our local Macy's store!)

Bad: it's kinda heavy (to me at least, because my parents didn't think so, i guess i just need to practice more on using it!)

I have been using this 13" inches wok about a year.It is a great product for the price. If anything sticks after cooking; just pour water in it and boil, let the water cool down then clean it.Some people might

think is too big(little bit too big for the standard sink) and too heavy. It is a quality product, I think it will last at least 20 years.Unlike nonstick cookware, stainless steel does not react with the food in high temp.It is good for your health. This wok is best use for cooking Asian vegetables.Remeber to use the bamboo turner.I am still looking for the lid.

I don't have much to add about the wok. It's great but takes a little time to get used to. You don't need the flame as high as on an inexpensive wok as it conducts heat really well. But I was too conservative at first, cooking too low.

One comment was the lack of a lid. E-mail or call Caphalon and get a lid to fit that matches the set. No part number on the lid I just got, but a label on the box says JR1613001. That's the glass lid with a stainless steel ring and handle. Fits perfectly and makes it perfect as far as I'm concerned.

Lodge Logic L12DCO3 Pre-Seasoned Cast-Iron Camp Dutch Oven, 8-Quart

Lodge Logic L12DCO3 Pre-Seasoned Cast-Iron Camp Dutch Oven, 8-QuartThis is the classic size Dutch Oven that is used by boy scouts, girl scouts, chuck wagon cooks, and outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds. My review is mostly limited to the outdoor uses of this wonderful classic dutch oven, but I use one at home as well. This model is a #12 dutch oven which is the "standard" size most commonly used, but there many sizes bigger and smaller. This one holds 8 quarts, measuring 12" in diameter by 5" tall. It has the tripod legs and a recessed lid best suited for cooking in coals. But those legs make it harder to use in a conventional oven, you need to maneuver the legs if possible onto your grill rack. They make a legless version with the domed lid for a home oven, and I have used it in a fire as well. On this model, you can even flip this lid over and use it as a skillet in a pinch if you need to in camp. You can do it all with a Dutch Oven cobblers, stews, beans, roasts, dumplings, you name it.It is the ultimate "one pot" pan.

QUALITY: There is a reason you can find old cast iron pans in antique stores, it lasts forever. I have quite a few pans and stuff inherited from family members and even some garage sale finds. I have found pans rusted and abused to where they would head for the trash bin if they were made of anything else, but you can bring cast iron back with some elbow grease and a re-seasoning or two. While my modern expensive non-stick cookware seems to last no more than a few years before replacement in my kitchen, but this stuff can easily last many decades of daily use. Lodge has a life time warranty! I love to cook with cast iron even at home, it is so durable, but I can take it camping too. Easy to clean up, the only drawback being it is heavy and hard on your wrists as you get older. Cast iron takes a bit longer to heat up, but the heat transfers very evenly without hot spots and it retains its heat for a long time. It can go from stovetop to oven with ease. Do not use it at temperatures higher than 500 degrees, as it can crack. I am not sure why, but people swear certain foods just taste better in cast iron.I believe that cast iron only improves with use and proper care instead of wearing out like other pans. As for Lodge, there really is a big difference in quality, their current pans are noticeably better than the other brands.

SEASONING FINISH:Seasoning of cast iron cookery does not refer to flavor, but the finish, a kind of glaze on the pan. I love old pans because they have the best seasoning, the older the better. I have inherited many old pans. The modern version sold here is "pre-seasoned" and ready to cook in, but we used to have to season these ourselves in the old days. It needs to stay black and a bit shiny inside to stay seasoned. If you do lose your seasoning due to rust or an overaggressive cleaning, simply wipe it with oil inside and out and place it in a hot oven for about 20 minutes or so. Let it cool in the oven slowly and naturally to room temperature again. It also helps to wipe it with a paper towel of oil after cleaning, or spray it with cooking oil and wipe. If it gets rusty, re-season it, you can get it like new again. DO NOT cook on it without re-seasoning though, as the food will stick. A note on what type of oil to use for seasoning, if you can do so use bacon grease, lard or butter, vegetable oil can sometimes get a little sticky in the pan and does not seem to get enough glaze as the animal based fats in my experience.

CLEANING: There is a debate on the cleaning of cast-iron that is as old as the pans, as to whether to use soap or not and how that affects sanitation. The Lodge company recommends cleaning without soap, but some people do so under certain circumstances. To clean without soap wash it with hot water or boil hot water in it and scrub it with a long handle brush or plastic scrubber, but never a metal scrubber as you can scratch the seasoning glaze. If you do use soap be sure it is very mild, maybe just dip your scrubber in the dishwater but don't immerse your pan in it. Immediately drying the pan is critical to its care either way, as soon as you clean the pan hand dry it with a paper towel and re-oil the pan immediately. For the most part, cast iron is non-stick as long as it is seasoned. If you use the pan on a fire, you can get soot on the exterior. An old Boy Scout trick to keep the exterior clean of soot if used on a campfire, is to treat the pan prior to cooking in the following manner. First wipe thepan (exterior only!) with some wet soap or a wet SOS pad, then let it dry before using it on the fire. Then when you are ready for washing, the soap has laid a protective layer over the exterior surface and the soot just wipes right off when you clean up with water.

ACCESSORIES: There are plenty of terrific Dutch oven and cast iron cook books here at Amazon.com. You can also get videos/DVD on Dutch Oven cooking like the one with Cee Dub. You can get affordable accessories too such as a Dutch oven tote bag, tongs, lid lifter, lid stand, and gloves. To be safe if cooking on coals or fire, use the lid lifter accessory, it will keep you from getting burned. I highly recommend this pan, and have decades of experience behind that statement, enjoy your cobbler!

If you're reading this, you probably already know about camp dutch ovens. I've been a Boy Scout my whole life, and a Scoutmaster and adult leader for several years now... (and an avid camper and outdoor cook to boot.) I have owned 5 or 6 dutch ovens in my life, and I'm now convinced that there is no match for the quality of LODGE dutch ovens. They are worth paying a little extra for. The others aren't really worth buying-the cheaper ones don't keep a finish like the LODGE ovens do.

I've bought the original finish and now this one with the LOGIC factory forged finish. I LOVE the pre-seasoned cookware. It isn't the finish that you'll get after years of seasoning, cooking and taking care of an oven, BUT you'll love that you will be able to cook on this oven RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX. So, if you're into instant gratification (with no downside-they season perfectly as you use them) this is the oven choice for you.

In more than a decade of outdoor cooking experience, I have learned one valuable lesson: always trust anything from Lodge. This rule has been tested on everything from a simple skillet to the monster dutch ovens crafted to feed an army.In all those years, Lodge has never failed me.

I tried to save money by using cast iron utensils from other firms, and have paid dearly for it.No body has the durability, the skill, or the quality of Lodge. There is something magic about the Lodge method of manufacturing, and that magic is worth every penny that you pay for. When you purchase from Lodge, you aren't simply buying a pot or skillet, you're acquring a lifelong companion that your children will be using when you are gone.

I have 5 dutch ovens of various sizes, numerous skillets and griddles, and all of them bear the Lodge name and logo, and all of them still perform just like they did when I first got them, although they have improved with age because the taste and the smell of the food that comes from them says it all.

Trust me, friends: you can save money by buying another brand, but you will be making a grave mistake.Don't try to be cheap, buy Lodge and prepare yourself for a quality product that will last for a long, long time.

I wanted to try out campfire cooking so I did a little research and purchased this Lodge dutch oven.

Let me first say that I have bought other Lodge cast iron products and they are the "Mercedes" of cast iron cookware. No shortcuts here, just beautiful, functional cast iron products that can be passed down to your children or grandchildren. On to the review...

The pot lid is very, very heavy. The pot itself is beautifully made. The instructions are clear (I recommend you follow them, they are correct). The iron handle is robust enough to take the pot off the fire filled hot food without giving you any concern.

The pot is "pre-seasoned" so all you have to do is give it a quick clean.I usually clean my cast iron products using hot water, a soft plastic brush and a little salt. Not much sticks anyway, but the salt works to give the brush a little "bite", plus I think the salt helps the seasoning a little.

The next step is to make a nice fire about 2 hours ahead of your cook time. The pot is NOT placed on the fire directly, but a few hot coals are dragged away from the fire for cooking.

I place the pot over about 10 hot coals on the botton, and about 20 hot coals on the lid.I turn the lid every 15 minutes or so and replace the coals with new ones about every 45 minutes.

Generally this method will cook a 4-5 pound chicken with a few potatoes, carrots and onions until it "falls off the bone" in about 3 hours.

It's really hard to describe how chicken tastes after being cooked over fire coals. It seems to keep the character flavor of the pot from meal to meal, and tastes ever so slightly smoky. It's very similar to cooking I've tasted in New Zealand where meat and vegetables are wrapped up on palm fronds, place over white hot stones, then buried for about four hours. It just has it's own unique flaor.

I've also cooked chile, leg of lamb and a number of other dishes. They've all been great.

A word of warning. Most people (including myself) can't believe that just a few coals below the pot, and double the number placed on top of the lid, can really cook the contents, but less is truly more in campfire cooking.

If too many coals are used, the food will taste strangely overcooked, but not burned. So best to exercise much restraint.

If you want to try campfire cooking and buy quality that can last for generations, then I say buy this quality pot and go out and cook!

We are very pleased with our Lodge Logic 8 quart camp dutch oven. It's true about the preseasoned readiness of the dutch. Straight out of the box, we rinsed it with hot water, applied a thin coat of cooking oil, and started cooking. The instruction/recipe book was most helpful to us,being first time owners. It listed the amount of charcoal needed for various cooking temperatures and sizes of the dutch ovens being used. We used one of our own recipes, stuffed meatballs. The food turned out great! We think it tasted better. We plan on buying a 10" and an 8" camp dutch to use with this 12" so we can try the stacking method of cooking. As a side note, we found the Weber chimney charcoal starter to work well, and at a price under 13 bucks at the HomeDepot. Also my husband came up with the idea of using leather welding gloves for safe handling of the charcoal chimney and the hot dutch. We found a pair at Sears for under 10 bucks. To use our dutch while camping we thought it best to use a metal container of some sort for a cooking table that is light weight and packable. We found the solution at a restaurant supply store, a huge 15"dia.aluminum cake pan with 2" sides. We also found 16" tongs at that store. This is a fun and tasty way of cooking outdoors.

Tramontina Gourmet Enameled Cast Iron Covered Skillet, 12 inch

Tramontina Gourmet Enameled Cast Iron Covered Skillet Gradated Size: 12', Finish: Gradated CobaltI love cast iron, know that it's heavy to use, but the flavor it gives your food is just amazing. I ordered this pan since it said that it was 4.5" deep and since it is 12" in diameter, the normal size of a chicken fryer, I thought I was in for a treat.Instead, upon its arrival, found that it was only 2" deep and completely unsuitable for anything that required depth in the pan whatsoever, particularly chicken. This pan is only for frying up something like eggs or pork chops.Forget those stovetop casseroles because this thing is so shallow, it would just spill over the sides.SO disappointed! That said, I'm going back to order one made by Lodge. They are made here in the U.S.A, in Tennessee, to be exact, and have been for 100 years.LOVE all of my other Lodge items. This pan is made in China.SO not into that either even though I was willing to make the sacrifice to get the cast iron enameled and in a deeper pan.

Tramontina DOES make some of their items right here in Texas, so be sure to check them out as well.I have other pieces of theirs that are amazing and I'm just a bit aggravated at Amazon for not describing this correctly.I recommend it for the even heating and overall good looks for the pan, but if you're looking for a deep pan, this isn't your "man." Recommend, sincerely, because the quality is quite great, but if you're having trouble lifting, this would be troublesome to handle.Filled, you really need a man to help, no kidding! My husband had to manuever it for me and I'm no weakling I play softball.

Kalorik Indoor/Outdoor Non-Stick Portable Grill, Black

Kalorik Indoor/Outdoor Non-Stick Portable Grill, BlackASIN B003DA7TY4 I want to love this thing, if only because I gave it as a gift and I hate when I give something that isn't awesome. This IS awesome, though it does have one flaw that really bugs me.

I've always hated the Foreman grills. They sell, in my opinion, only because of Foreman's name. They're not new, novel, inventive, unique... and they never were. The day they hit the shelves, I was using a five year old unit much like them, but better. So when I went shopping for an indoor grill and kept running into people pushing Foreman's grills, I was frustrated. Finally, I stumbled across the Kalorik in a store and asked about it, did a little online research and decided to take a chance.

The cooking surface is large, half griddle and half grill, and excess fat drains easily. The lid, which can act as a windbreak and serve as a handle too, is clear glass, making it easy to keep an eye on your food without having to open it all the time, letting heat out. It heats up quickly, cooks evenly and, with removable parts, cleans in a flash.

The only complaint I have is about the lid. When you lift it, the hinge sinks smoothly into a pocket, where it can stand upright. This is great, when you're cooking no holding it with one hand and trying to do everything with the other, you've got two free hands! But, when you try to close it, it's not quite so smooth. You have to lift it from the pocket it's resting in and I've usually been unable to close it with one hand, so I'm forced to step away from the unit, set down what's in my hand, then return to close it. If you've got small kids or cats (dogs don't usually spend much time walking on counters), this can be a real problem. Not the worst problem in the world, but annoying, especially from a company that, according to their own site, is "synonymous with fine engineering".

AnnaLovesBooks

This little grill is awesome!

I have owned it now for a year and have no problems whatsoever. I absolutely love it. I never really could figure out how to not overcook food on the gas grill, I always left it up to my hubby buit he could never seem to get to it! So I decided to buy a grill that was easy for me to use. I use it both inside and outside all the time. My family and I camp on the weekends and this grill is always thrown in the back of the truck. It is not huge but it is plenty big for my family of four. It is split 50/50, grill/griddle but I have no problems cooking meat on the griddle side. I love that you can grab it and carry it by the handle (just be sure to clean the grease tray before doing this, opps!) It really is easy to clean; you can just throw all the pieces in the dishwasher. I was not sure about the actual grill part, but it says you can and I have not had any problems with doing so. Also very easy to wash by hand. I also love the fact that the lid is clear and does not smash the food like the foreman type grills, but still drains much of the grease.

I will say, as another reviewer mentioned about how the grill stopped heating up, it does, but it does not actually shut off, it just seems to "cool down" a little if it has been on a while. It still continues to cook though. I love this feature because my ADD sometimes will stray me away from my cooking, for a while, a long while sometimes.=) When I finally realize I have chicken still on the grill I think, "Great, burned, dried out chicken" Nope, not the case! Still the moistest chicken I have ever had in my life! This grill knows when to cool down and wait. Back to my ADD, I have actually left this thing on all day before and never had a problem with it. So it really only seems to "cool down a bit" when it has been left on a really long time, and a tiny twist of the heating control knob and its back up. Therefore, if you grill food that needs to be on the grill for a long time over an hour or so, this is probably not for you. However, if you want something that's there, easy to use, cooks awesome, and cleans easily, Do not hesitate to buy this sweet little grill!

Bialetti Aeternum 12-Inch Covered Deep Saute

Bialetti Aeternum 12-Inch Covered Deep SauteMy wife gave me this pan for Christmas and I am very impressed.I've been searching for alternatives to regular non-stick pans due to concerns over the coatings having toxic chemicals in them.I already have cast iron and steel pans that I use regularly, but even with proper conditioning of those pans (baking on solid oils, cleaning only with oil and salt, etc.) there are some foods that stick to them, such as scrambled eggs. The other drawback of cast iron (and steel to a lesser extent) is weight pouring out hot food in particular can be a bit tough with a large cast iron pan.

This Bialetti pan addresses all those problems. It is very lightweight, with a nice handle that makes it easy to grip and control. The non-stick interior is excellent scrambled eggs leave pretty much no trace other than a tiny spot of butter here or there, which washes right off.The heating and cooking is even and predictable. Finally, the pan's red bottom and handle is attractive enough that my wife and I agreed to hang it on the wall. The only potential drawback I can think of is that I worry that the ceramic interior may chip if abused, which contributed to our decision to hang it on the wall rather than put it in the cabinet with all the other pans.

Overall a great pan I plan on buying a couple more in other sizes. While some foods will continue to be used with the cast iron and steel pans, these Bialetti pans have definitely earned a place in the kitchen for sticky/tough to clean foods!

[11 months later: The pan has started to become less non-stick. Scrambled eggs now stick to it, although they come off with reasonable dish brush pressure.Other foods leave a residue as well that requires some pressure to clean. So this is now no longer truly a non-stick pan, which is disappointing. We never abused the pan (i.e. left heated without contents, scrubbed with abrasive cleaners, etc.).As a result, I've reduced my review to 3 stars.]

I bought this pan on January and was very pleased with it. It was easy to clean, didn't require lots of oil...In no time (it's April now) the surface gets damaged some, and now even the eggs get stuck to the interior...even with plenty of oil. I'd also like to point out that I've been taking a good care of the saute following the manufacture instructions on not cleaning it while it's hot etc...

Will not recommend this product...It is only good when it's new, new.

This is the best non-stick pan that I have ever used. I only use a slight amount of oil, but it could essentially be oil free for a lot of uses. Foods will crisp up very well with little or no oil. Easy to clean as well, could be a wipe out with a paper towel, with most foods. Takes high heat without burning, or staining the inside of the pan.

Like many, I wanted to replace my aging nonstick pans with a PFOA/PTFE free alternative.I love cooking with deep, lidded saute pans--they're versatile, and an affordable since they can handle sauces and omelets--no need for an entire set of pans. However, when it comes to PFOA/PTFE free lidded saute pans, there are few options.I looked at various PFOA/PTFE free cookware reviews and all of them had complaints of chipping and decline in non-stick performance.

None of this has been my experience.I love my Bialetti pan. I've had it since the end of October and it doesn't have a chip or a scratch on its nonstick coating. Food doesn't stick to it and it's a breeze to clean.

I waited to write my review because I wanted to see if the pan held up. It has, and I would recommend it providing you know how to properly care for nonstick cookware. I think many of the negative reviewers are not treating their pans properly.

1. Cook with care. You should only be using spoons/spatulas/flippers that will not scratch the pan.Seems like a no-brainer but anything metal would be a no-no.I use silicone.

2. Wash with care. Wait until the pan is completely cool to wash it.Don't expose the pan to extreme temperature change or plunge a hot pan into water.I don't have a dishwasher and even if I did, I would NEVER put this pan in it.I've always washed my pan by hand using the soft side of the sponge. That's all you need. I've never used the green scrubby side, and while you probably can, you don't need to.

3. Store with care. Don't put things (other than food) in this pan. Don't stack other pans in it. I turn it face down on my drying rack so I don't set any other dishes in it. I store it with its lid on.

4. Understand that you use different types of pans for different types of cooking.I love my Bialetti but I'd never use it to sear a steak (grab the all clad stainless steel).Saute some veggies al dente? That's the Bialetti.

5. You don't have to use oil, butter, or cooking spray, but there's even less stick when you do.

So no chips, no cracks, no problems or complaints.Maybe I'll do an update in another 9 months to let you know if anything has changed.

I bought this pan in March, and it was wonderful for a few weeks. Then it gradually started losing its non-stick super powers. Now, only 5 months later, it's totally useless. The search goes on for a healthy non-stick solution. Don't waste your money on this.

Raclette Indoor Grill 1200W

Raclette Indoor Grill 1200WMy family loves melting cheese with onions and mushrooms in the little raclettes. We boil potatoes and pour the mixture on top. They are very nonstick. We use the stone to cook strips of beef or chicken or shrimp that we also put the melted cheese on.Treat the stone like an iron skillet.Just scrape off anything while its still hot and wipe off and put on a little oil. Also you must oil the stone before use and let it preheat.

Weber 7404 Cast Iron Griddle

Weber 7404 Cast Iron GriddleAfter much confusion over which griddle would work with my new Summit 670 LP Grill I finally contacted Weber directly who told me that the 7404 was the correct product.Weber offered to sell it to me but as I'm an Amazon Prime member I could not pass up the "free" 2nd day shipping I could get direct from Amazon on this product.

This is a very heavy porcelain enameled griddle that is reversible (you can see both sides of it in the product photo).I gave it a very light and fast wash with some dish soap and warm water and then dried it thoroughly.

The first time I used the griddle I gave it a heavy spray of olive oil and let the grill get up to about 400 degrees.I have observed you will get very fast and thorough heat by applying direct burner heat under the griddle as well as turning on a different burner to medium temperature for ambient heat.

Made some fish on this and it came out wonderfully (I used the textured side for the fish and there was no fall apart of the fish as is typical when being cooked directly on the stainless grates on the grill itself).I really look forward to using the smooth side of this for making breakfast items, fajitas and other things that will cook great on the grill.

Clean up is a bit of a headache as you must take the heavy griddle off of the grill, bring it into your kitchen and clean it up.Arguably if the griddle is well seasoned you can just give it a quick wipe down with a cloth.

So why only 4 stars?Well, the griddle fits the grill so tightly that you actually can't put it at either end of the grill, due to the bolts on the back of the grill pushing the griddle forward just a bit so you can't close the lid of the grill. You need to scoot the griddle a couple of inches over to clear this bolt if you want to close the lid (which you probably do).

The other issue I have is that there is no good way to store this.It would have been nice to see something like a liner, etc, that could be used to encapsulate this so you could store it in the grill cart.If you just slide this in it will scratch up the finish on your grill, you don't want that!

All in all this is a reasonable value for money paid, it's a great addition to your Summit 600 series and makes even more flexible cooking on the grill possible.

OK, I should have believed some of the other reviews but I thought I would chance it. I ordered a 7532, the dimensions say 20.8 x 13.9 x 2, ok its not 2 inches thick and it actually measures 19-3/8 x 12-1/2 x 3/4. Amazon was great, they gave me instructions to send it back, then I ordered the Weber 7404, hoping it will be the size I want.....wrong answer, it says it measures 20.5 x 15 x 2 and it acually measures 19-1/4 x 11-1/4 x 3/4. Im sending it back too. I have emailed Weber a couple times and they have yet to reply......be careful what you order.

There are other griddles here at Amazon that should fit the S-400 line, but in fact only this one does.

Heavy griddle, excellent cooking. I replaced one of the two grates with it.

Some folks complain about the weight, but you need a griddle to be this massive to properly cook.As usual. Weber has built a product specific to the Summit grills that reflects the kind of cooking folks do on this product. For fish, veggies, and even the more unusual (ie. lobster) you can't beat this

Woll Diamond Plus Fry Pan, 8-Inch

Woll Diamond Plus Fry Pan, 8-Inch...because this is the most perfect nonstick small skillet/egg pan ever!Much better price elsewhere on the Internet; but I can't imagine a better designed & manufactured piece of essential cookware.Balance/weight, range of temperature, ease of use/cleanup, and adaptability with existing 8" glass lids and all heat sources (except induction) make this the "holy grail" of daily necessity cookware for me.Woll is unbeatable and well worth even this premium price, as far as I'm concerned. As my last essential utility nonstick pan, a 9.5" sauté, rapidly approaches its nonstick end I'm impatiently looking forward to replacing it with a Woll Nowo Titanium one.Don't even think about trying newfangled ceramic nonstick surface "experiments" they DO NOT WORK.Woll seems to have perfected ultimate practically indestructible rinse'n'wipe cookware technology! Will just have to see how it holds up but I'd wager it will continue working like new for a decade or more.Couldn't be happier!

This is a fantastic pan!The pan is thick (10mm) but it's light because it's solid aluminum (BTW, don't let self-appointed health "experts" convince you that aluminum gives you alzheimer's disease. The growing body of evidence proves it does not). There's no PFOA (which IS quite harmful) because they found a way to infuse the non-stick coating right to the metal directly. That means it'll withstand the scratches and heat and abuse better than most non-sticks.So far, that's entirely true.I scraped the tines of my fork hard on a spot towards the rim of the pan and it didn't scratch off the nonstick.I also took my heavy spoons and spatulas and tapped them firmly against the rim like I would when I'm cooking to see if it'd ding up and leave marks. It did NOT.By all accounts, the diamond-plus pans are incredibly durable. The vendor claims that even if it discolors a bit or gets scratched (which I haven't been able to accomplish by being rough on it), there's no harm because the non-stick coating is fused to the metal. Gotta say I'm loving it so far. Time will tell if they hold up like this in a year or two. I'll report back.

It also cooks incredibly evenly and heats up/cools off quickly because of the aluminum. For example, on my old crappy pots and pans, if I turn the burner on high with an inch of water in the bottom, there'll be like a ring of bubbles right where the elements are or right where the warped pan bottoms touch the heating elements. But in THIS pan, the heat is transferred evenly and thus the entire surface bubbles evenly showing me that the whole bottom is the same temperature.Things fry the exact same way in this pan...there's no "hot spot".I fried up a bunch of sausage (without greasing the pan at all first) and after each turn, they all had the same browning level which told me the sausages on the edge had the same heat under them as the sausages in the middle of the pan. Finally!I was tired of having to rotate them to different spots in the pan so there weren't burnt ones and raw ones.

The pan is incredibly flat and precise. There's no rocking when it's on a flat surface because the bottom was turned with precision. Now, if there is a fault with this pan (and I don't know that this is the fault of the pan) its that the super shiny underside picks up stains quickly and they're hard to scour off because of the texture. On the other hand, that texture makes it nice and grippy so it doesn't slide around on my flat glass range. On my old pans, the slightest touch to the handle can send it spinning all the way around in a circle or send it off the glassy burner altogether.THIS pan absolutely does not.Something about it grips really well to the glass surface I've got.

I don't want to get sucked in by the hype of the "making of" videos, but so far this is performing fantastically and just as advertised. But as I've heard others mention, almost ALL nonstick works great at first. It's not until you use it for a year or two before you find out what it's really made of.I'll keep everyone posted with my findings as time goes on.

I thought I would share my experience with Woll pans. I bought the pan two years ago and it has been great for some time, but all of a sudden the pan started sticking, now almost everything sticks and I have to soak the pan to clean it. When I was buying this pan I was told by the rep it would last 10 years easy what a lie. I have spoken to my friend who bought the pan following my advise her pan is useless as well. Search the internet before you decide to buy this expensive pan, there are numerous complaints about Woll products losing its non-stick capabilities. I must say, I never used anything metal on the pan, barely used any detergents to clean it and was very careful with it and it gave up on me.

I have tried many non stick products and this is the best. It is not like the usual pan in that it does just as well w/o oil as with. When at the correct temperature it cooks through like a hot oven. It is also twice as heavy as any similarly sized pan including cast iron.Great to show off your flipping ability since sticking is not an issue.
