Cuisinart DSA30-20 Dishwasher Safe Hard-Anodized 11-Inch Square Griddle

Cuisinart DSA30-20 Dishwasher Safe Hard-Anodized 11-Inch Square GriddleVery happy with this purchase! This is the best square griddle pan that I've owned.Cooks evenly, washes up beautifully in the dishwasher, and has a very nice weight to it.Heavy enough to keep it flat on the stove, but not too heavy like a cast iron.Does french toast and grilled sandwiches perfectly, no need to keep doing quarter and half turns to make sure your bread is browning evenly, flip it once and perfect.I would highly recommend this product!

Very nice pan, but the handle is so heavy that it causes the pan to tilt on the stove making cooking uneven.

I am very pleased with the quality (heft), value and performance of this Cuisinart griddle.I use no cooking spray and eggs, for example, remain totally stick free. The 11 inch size is adequate for a 2 3 person breakfast, but larger families might want a larger surface.Cuisinart, in their product literature stands by the dishwasher safe claim, however they hedge this by noting that dishwasher soaps with lemon should be avoided. This doesn't seem very practical as typically these dishwasher soaps are scented, and I think most folks perfer this. The issue is not enough to knock off a "star" on rating as the griddle never has food stuck to it, and it is thus easy to just quickly wipe down and store away.

Curtis Stone Steelworks Non-Stick Fry Pan, 12-InchAfter about 20 years, our old (when they still made high quality) copper bottom, Revere non-stick skillet was worm out. With some sadness we searched for a replacement. We did a lot of research and settled on this one.Boy am I glad we did!!It heats even more evenly than the old one!And so far we have cooked nearly every dish with no oil at all.Clean up is a snap!We have had this for about a month. If you are looking for a great non stick skillet, I think you will be very pleased.

We like to have people over for dinner and this pan fit the bill for cooking. Clean up was easy since it is non stick. I would recommend this pan.

HIC Brands that Cook Essentials Stainless Steel Splatter Screen

HIC Brands that Cook Essentials Stainless Steel Splatter Screen, 13-InchI bought two of these in different sizes.Excellent.I like the handle (much better than the silly knob in the middle of some such lids).Well made.Fine mesh stainless steel, will clean easily without rusting. My last splatter lid had a sort of thick mesh, with gaps inside it where it was impossible to clean. These don't.

Spatters go through the screen.Same cleanup as without so not impressed.Maybe I expected too much and hoped it would reduce the stove cleanup.

If you care for this item it will last a long time. Splatter screens are good for stopping splatter but also good for keeping heat in a a pan. It helps the food cook a little faster without totally blocking the airflow. I like to use it when the eggs are almost done cooking and you turn it off to set. It keeps the heat in the pan to finish off the eggs. I have also used it to set fried foods on to drain, and as a cooling rack for the to many cookies I baked. :) Think outside of the box and you will have lots of uses for your kitchen tools...no unitaksers! :)

Does the job, but the part where the handle meets the screen feels a bit weak. But as long as you aren't waving it around violently or something like that, should be fine!

Ordered the 13" and used it once. After the first hand wash, the welding on the handle broke on one side. This will be too much of a hassle to return the large, oddly shaped item so I will keep it and make due with the break.

WMF Collier Cookware Set, 8-Piece

WMF Collier Cookware Set, 8-PieceI bought this set while I was attending Law school in London. I had grown accustomed to great pots and could not buy a cheap pot set so I found these in the local TJ Maxx. I even shipped them home with me after finishing school!!

WMF is known for great quality items and this pot set is the epitome of this. It is high quality stainless steel with a sandwich bottom which ensures that it does not burn right through like the ordinary cheap pots. If I am not mistaken there is a strip of copper and this is a great heat conductor which will ensure an even distribution of heat and reduce energy consumption!

The look while you cook lids are awesome, I don't have to constantly remove the pot covers to see what is going on in my pot. The various sizes are good as well, but may not be adequate for a big family so you may want to consider getting the add on pieces.

This set is both functional and beautiful to look at and if they are on your stove when you have visitors you are sure to get compliments...I have!

All being said these pots require good care, you cannot use brillo pads or scotch brite on these pots because they are high polished and any abrasive cleaners will ruin the polished look. If you happen to burn the surface of your pot just simply add water and some dish liquid and leave it on the warm burner to soak off.

Consider purchasing a WMF WMF Profi Plus Washing Brush with Stainless Steel Handlepot brush to remove any excess stubborn food particles.

Great Pot set...it's worth every penny!! This would make a great wedding present or housewarming gift.

This was my first good pot set! I loved it and I did not ruin it at all. I just left it in the house when we moved into a new one. I found an excuse to try a new one!

It is a great set. I was mostly worried about the small handles. But to my surprise they did hold up well. While cooking on low heat I did not even needed to use pot holders and on high heat having boiled pasta or potatoes I would use pot holders anyway. It's like a seatbelt in the car you never know what might happen.

I was extremely unhappy with the cheap pot set that I owned before and I still recall making the experiment how much faster the water would heat up. It was easy to clean and it is also dishwasher safe.A great pot set if you do like to cook and do not want to spend a fortune on your set.

In the U.S. you can get All Clad or something made in China.I found that WMF sold in Europe is made in Germany, but when sold in the U.S. it's made in China. That at lease gave me a barometer of the quality. The loop handles make it easy to store in my lazy-susan and also are more apt to remind me of the option of putting them in the oven--making one less pot/pan/dish to scrub.I was surprised at how much better this cookware conducts heat that my Cuisinart.Instead of trying to boil something on my electric stove at 8 or 9 I only have to go to 5.It's a lovely set and I love using them.

It arrived damaged, It happens. Spoke with a customer service representative, she was extremely helpful within minutes my problem was solved, return label sent and I took it up to UPS. I received a good deal on this cookware as well when purchasing them.So both times by e-mail and phone my problems were solved expediently, and courteously. the reason I gave it 4

stars was because of website navigation, finally after trying to explain the damage using the online form, and it continued to kick it out without explaining what I was doing wrong, I could not find a phone number to talk to a live person, finally having to google it thats where the frustration began. Long story short, part of it has to do with operator error namely myself, as its an 8pc set and I was under the impression that Just 2 pieces of the 8 piece set could be changed out. In essence its treated as 1 pc as a whole. My mistake I'm an older gentleman sometimes I make mistakes too. Again Thankyou, and have a great Day.Job well done.

Kinetic Classicor Series Stainless-Steel 12-Inch Chicken Fryer with Lid

Kinetic Classicor Series Stainless-Steel 12-Inch Chicken Fryer with LidI bought this item and used it for only one month before it broke. The problem is that the basin holds more weight than the handle can manage. So with a pound and half of cooked stuff in the fryer, if you lift from the handle, it will break at the joint.Even though All-Clad is much more expensive, you're better off going with their chicken fryer because they bolt the handle to the basin (whereas Innova just staples the handle on).In fact, most other brands bolt the handle on to their chicken fryers.I don't know why Innova hasn't caught on.

I still gave 2 stars because the company accepted the return, although I did have to pay shipping.

I have this particular pan for the last 10 years and love, love it!! very easy to clean. just a light steel wool pad is for great clean up

Starfrit 12 Inch Stainless Steel Lid

Starfrit 12 Inch Stainless Steel LidIn the past, I have ordered a 12-inch cast iron skillet on Amazon.com. The skillet was a great buy, but the only lid I had on hand was a heavy glass lid that came with some big pots I use. The glass lid is heavy and when I use it with the skillet and want to take the lid off the skillet to stir something, it wants to burn my fingers and I have to find somewhere to set it down. It drips condensed water over everything and stays hot for a while. I saw this stainless steel lid on Amazon and it looked like it would fit the skillet. It was also priced right, so I gave it a try.

This lid is perfect for my skillet. It is light and easy to handle. It fits the skillet perfectly and cools off fast. When taking it off the skillet to stir something cooking, it is easy to invert and set on the counter. I love it and store it with my skillet. I would buy this lid again.

I needed a lid that was light weight to use with my cast iron skillet, but sturdy enough to hold up to the high heat of the cast iron and to hold in the heat when frying my chicken.Perfect fit!

Overall, this is a good product for the price. It's lightweight and well built, and fits well on my 11 inch saute pan.

Hovewer, the handle is not made of heat resistant material, so it gets pretty hot after a while.

6-1/2" CI Skillet

6-1/2' CI SkilletI hate cleaning, and I don't do things I hate very well, or even close.I always failed every time I "did" dishes. This thing is great; you have to make sure to clean it immediately after use, every time and it's easy to clean. You just need a stiff brush and hot water + hands. No soap required. They actually advise you NOT to use soap.I use this for grilled cheese sandwiches; In the last couple or so months, I started substituting butter with mayo or salad dressing. No harm done, to the food OR the pan.I also use this for pancakes, but you won't get those huge honkin' pancakes you sometimes/normally find at restaurants because this pan is tiny it's 6.5 inches. The pancakes might be referred to as "silver dollar" pancakes, but the size of a silver dollar is like double the size of a US quarter dollar and 6.5 inches is...not.

Nordic Ware Restaurant 10 inch Brushed Stainless-Steel Lid

Nordic Ware Restaurant 10 inch Brushed Stainless-Steel LidI purchased this lid because my old glass lid trapped used cooking oil between the metal rim and the glass, where it could not be removed. This lid does not have any such problem. The metal is thin, so the lid is fairly light, weighing 0.7 lbs.It should fit pots and pans with an inner diameter between 9.5 inches (the diameter of the lid's recessed portion) and 10.5 inches (the lid's overall diameter).Overall, this is a very good product, the one downside being that the handle becomes too hot to touch after a few minutes.

This cover fits the classic Lodge frying pan so well that you can vent out of one if the pan's pouring spouts if you want to. I would have liked thicker material but it's OK and looks good. Made in Minnesota USA!

This fits my All-Clad MC2 10" fry pan perfectly, as well as my Marcus Sameulsson 10" fry pan.The handle is very comfortable, and the lid is relatively strong. The gauge of stainless steel used to make this lid is not the thickest, but definitely thick enough to hold up to daily use. There is a "lip" on the underside of the lid where the steel has been rolled, which may bother some people.

After looking extensively, I could not find another stainless steel lid at this price point, although I found a lot of aluminum lids for less.Aluminum will react with some foods and is not truly dishwasher safe (discoloration).

Rachael Ray Hard Anodized Nonstick 5-Quart Oval Saute Pan with Glass Lid, Orange

Rachael Ray Hard Anodized Nonstick 5-Quart Oval Saute Pan with Glass Lid, OrangeI have Lupus, and suffer from the growing loss of mobility in all of my limbs. I love to cook, but have struggled to continue using my expensive cookware because it is now too heavy for me to safely manage.

I have agonized over this development and had feared that I would be forced to replace my cookware with really thin (light and cheap) aluminum pots and pans. If so, I knew I would be giving up a lot of cooking flexibility and the quality I had learned to rely on and love.

At least, I thought that until Rachael Ray put out her imaginative cooking line! Not only does this five-quart oval saute cook like a dream, it weighs about half of what my other cookware does, has that great helper handle to lift it and serve the contents, and cleans easier than ANY pan that I own at any price.

As a result, I can continue to do what I love -cooking -despite my illness! When you're disabled, you have to give up a lot of things that had been meaningful in your life, not to mention independence. I applaud ANY product that is disabled-compatible.

In reading the reviews for this great pan, I hadn't noticed anyone raving about its weight. For folks like me, that's a really huge deal.

Thanks, Rach!

The overall quality and performance of this pan is actually pretty good, as long as you don't try to use the parts of the cooking area that are hanging over the edge of the burner.

The design of this pan is flawed from the start -the oval shape makes for extremely uneven heat distribution, which makes for some rather large cold spots at the outer reaches of the pan. With a round pan, all of the edges are an equal distance away from the edge of the burner. With this pan, the narrow part hangs 1/2" over the burner on each side, while the long section of the oval hangs a full 3.5" over on each side. Very poor design.

I also find this pan to be excessively l-o-n-g... whatever area the marketers claim is saved on the stove top from the narrow design is quickly eaten up by the added length. In reality, this pan offers no advantages over a 9" round pan -unless you consider having a 'warming section' in your saute pan to be an advantage.

I bought this pan only because my wife wanted it for Christmas (a year ago). It is the last oval pan I will ever purchase.

Edit: After using this pan for almost two years, I have upped my rating to 3 stars, mainly because I am impressed with the build quality. The non-stick coating is still completely intact -something I was pleasantly surprised with considering the way my Cuisinart Anodized non-stick pan surfaces degraded in a similar time-frame. I would rate the build quality of the Rachel Ray pan very close to that of the Emerilware pan that I own (which is made by All-Clad). I still think the oval shape is a poor design, but I am very pleased with performance if I don't try to use the outer edges.

First, I really like this pan, I use it frequently. Because I use it frequently, I noticed some wear in the middle of the pan. The middle of the pan is discolored and has lost some of it's non-stick ability. I noticed this pan doesn't cook as well on the edges because most of the heat is concentrated to the middle, which would explain the wear and discoloration in the middle. It would also be nice if I could see my food in the pan through the lid, but it is always really fogged up. I'm not sure if that is normal or not so I'm not complaining about that too much. On the other hand, this pan is lightweight and sturdy. The handles stay cool and the grip is great, as well as the helper handle. It cleans up really well. I just hope I won't have to replace it sooner than later due to the wear in the middle. Overall, I am happy with this pan and do believe it to be of good quality, but it could be better designed to distribute more heat to the edges and not wear so much in the middle.

Fitz-All Pot & Pan Cover

Fitz-All Pot & Pan CoverHave a number of odd-ball or miscellaneous pots and pots? You want a lid for it, but it either never came with one or you have lost it. Your savior is at hand. I have been using mine for years, and is pretty beat-up and abused. The fit is kinda awkward for smaller pans, the fit is usually rather loose, plus it will not fit 12 inch skillets. Still, I love mine and would never give it up.

You might want to consider another brand that will cover a 12 inch pan.

I ordered two, and both came pre-dented. LOLAnyway, the lid is aluminum, so I expected it to be on the flimsy side.Although I think $5 would be a better price than the price I paid for.In any case, it gets the job done.I have a couple of 8" pan and a few 6" pots, and this lid works nicely with all of them. They're surprisingly easy to clean too; different than the aluminum I'm familiar with.

Sad that a made in USA item is so flimsy. Was delivered with minor dents and discolored when used to cover a frying pan containing sliced potatoes.Prior review that mentions not good for covering 12" pans is misleading. It barely covers a 10 1/4 (#8) Griswold CI frying pan.

It does work but is smaller that the description indicates. Quite flimsy-don't sneeze within 6 feet of it or it will likely dent. Apparently made in USA so its conclusive proof China doesn't have a monopoly of tinny rubbish.

Le Creuset Oblong Skillet Grill

Le Creuset 12 3/4 Inch Oblong Skillet Grill, CaribbeanI bought this pan in red a few years ago at great sale somewhere; perhaps Williams-Sonoma or le Creuset Outlet. When I saw it today as a Gold Box lightning deal, I had to speak up.It is perfect for broiling greasier meats with its ridges.I use it often for combination baking/broiling: heat it from the bottom and then broil the top without flipping. Sometimes I start recipe on the stovetop and move to the oven to bake or broil. It comes in a square dimension also. While the cooking surface is enamel, it has a matte finish and cleans fairly easily; just don't confuse with synthetic surfaces, it is still enamel not Teflon.

I have a lot of le Creuset cookware and use them often. I use this piece

a lot.

This is a great grill pan because it leaves perfect thin grill marks and the shape accomodates almost any slice of meat desired. The pan works well to start with grilling, then transfers to the oven for finishing, and straight to the table for a sizzling presentation. Since it is oval shaped, it looks more like a platter than a pan so it is really well suited to serve from.

Burgers and chicken tastes great after cooking it on this pan. Can't use the round grill press though too big.If you cook meat on the pan until its well-done, you will have to put a bit of water in it to soak before washing. It can be difficult to wash; but, I still like this pan.

This is the second grill pan in my cooking arsenal.I picked it up during a deal-of-the-day promotion at Amazon, and was anxious to try it out.I was impressed with the way it performed during our first cooking session together, but when it came time to clean the pan egads. It's a nightmare!Food sticks, bakes right on and refuses to let go.I did some research on cleaning options, read reviews, tried different cooking, seasoning, and cleaning methods, hoping to come up with a method that would allow me to cook chicken or a burger without having charred remains in the pan, but frankly, it just isn't worth the effort.Nothing makes much difference.I've greased the pan with Pam, brushed it with oil, used it dry, seared hot, started up cold I've soaked in hot water, cold water, baking soda and water I've soaked for hours, overnight, 24 hours!I am sorry I spent 39.00 on this panknowing what I know now, I wouldn't spend 3.90 on it.I won't even donate it to our local thrift shop why punish thrift shoppers with this albatross? It'll make a lovely doorstop, and for that I give it one star!

Lodge Logic L8SGP3 Pre-Seasoned Square Grill Pan, 10.5-inch

Lodge Logic L8SGP3 Pre-Seasoned Square Grill Pan, 10.5-inchI just cooked a thick ribeye steak using this grill. It's the first thing that I have cooked on it.Similar to a cast iron frying pan that I have, this generates a lot of "smoke".I had to take the battery out of my smoke detector, and open windows.I think I cooked it at a slightly higher temperature than I needed to.If smoke is a problem, think twice about buying this.

The result is the best steak I have ever cooked indoors. It beats any electric grill I have ever used, and it beats the George Foreman grill hands down.I would say that the results are almost restaurant quality.I look forward to cooking hamburgers within the next day or so.

I think this would work better with slightly less thick cuts of meat.Even at high heat it took longer than it would have taken on a grill.During the cooking I put a metal lid over the pan to control splattering.

I think it will be a breeze to clean.Oiling it after cleaning, with the ridges, will be a little more work than for smoother surfaces.

Because the ridges are so high, the grill does a great job of cooking away from the fat, and probably (my guess) does even a better job than the George Foreman grill in that regard.

Pans like this pay for themselves. This pan is about the cost of a dinner for two, and it will result in less eating out.

Update:I cleaned the pan after making the steak. It was more difficult to clean than other cast iron pans due to the ridges, however, I think I need to find a different tool to clean it with.Someone recommended a grill pad or brush. Also, I usually put the pan over enough heat to evaporate any water from cleaning, and then apply a thin amount of oil. This was also harder.I think it will get better with practice. In any case, the results were worth it.

I will be trying burgers and pork chops soon, so stay tuned!

Update:I cooked pork chops tonight on this grill, and they are the best pork chops I have ever had in my life.I let the pan heat up, and usually also have the electric burner on high heat when adding the meat.I then turn it down a bit.The cast iron doesn't cool off, and it sears the juices in.I have found that a metal cover over the grill works well to keep in splatters and heat.Another thing that is helpful is a temperature fork, which told me tonight that the chops were at 180 degrees, otherwise I would have overcooked them.

This is by far the best money that I have spent on cooking equipment, and it will definitely save a lot of $$$ because I will treat myself to excellent home-cooked meals more often.

It's cast iron, so you can run this pan as hot as you dare to sear the flavor in. Makes excellent burgers and brats, with nice grill marks but no burned spots, even when well-done. Try that with a George Foreman and your burger will be black outside and dryer than the Mojave Desert inside.

The square pan provides plenty of room to fry up a few burgers and the hot juices in the bottom are made-to-order for sauteeing a few mushrooms, onions, or peppers to go on top. The handle is fatter than older Lodge designs and quite ergonomic as long as you're wearing an oven mitt. Cleans nicely by boiling a little water in the pan and giving it a quick scrub with a stiff round natural-bristle vegetable brush and the hottest water that'll come out of the tap.

I would recommend this pan over the 11.5" one Lodge also offers because the thicker bottom, smaller sides, and deeper walls of the 10.5" pan provide fairly even heat over the entire grill surface. It appears that the 11.5" pan is based on the griddle of the same size, and my 11.5" griddle is hot near the center and cooler near the edges when used on a burner OK for hash browns, but bad for burgers, grilled cheese, and such.

Excellent product; if you can't grill outside, this pan is the next best thing!

Buy Lodge Logic L8SGP3 Pre-Seasoned Square Grill Pan, 10.5-inch Now

This was my first time using cast iron cookware, and it was almost the last. After my first attempt, I was very disappointed. The second the food contacted the pre-heated pan it stuck to the it, and I mean really stuck to it. I had to tear the chicken breast from the pan, literally! The clean up was a nightmare. Everything was burnt on. It probably took me close to 20 minutes to clean the pan. I thought about trashing the grill. I thought cast iron cookware was a joke.

Well, a couple of days later I decided to give it another shot. I looked up cast iron cookware on the web and clicked on a random link (unfortunately, I do not remember the link, but it was an old article). The website article explained (if memory serves correctly) that there is a difference between pre-seasoned and seasoned cast iron; it takes many uses to develop a good seasoning of the cast iron utensil; pre-seasoned just means that the first step was already started. It also stated that one should never use any soap or scrub with anything harsh; a plant-fiber brush is recommended because the goal is to get the particles off the pan, not clean off all the used oil left behind. I'm thinking I should have read the directions that came with the pan before I used it instead of assuming it was good to go.

I decided to give it a few more tries. I purchased a cast iron scrub brush to use for cleaning, and spent more time cleaning it before my second use because there was still a lot of burnt on food still stuck to the pan. After a few more uses, I started noticing that food wasn't getting stuck as often, grill marks are looking better and what was burnt on the pan was very easy to clean off with the brush and hot water. About a dozen uses later the pan has developed a smoother, more glossy surface on the cooking surface. Now the food (even fish) just glides off the pan. A quick rinse with hot water and most of the burnt on stuff just flakes off. A quick pass with the brush and the pan is clean and perfectly smooth, in fact, this is the easiest pan to clean in my kitchen. After use (while the pan is till warm but not hot), I just rinse with hot water and a quick pass with the brush, dry it, lightly coat it with oil, and store it for next use.

And the brighter side to this.....it is starting to impart some flavors on the food that makes it taste fantastic! The grill marks are clean and consistent, and it cooks everything evenly.

To the folks who had bad luck with using this for the first time, give it a few more tries before you write this off. It did not work for me at first because I did not read the directions and assumed that using cast iron was no different than using any other type of cookware.

I really liked that fact that this comes pre-seasoned. It's a nice size for 2-4 people and allows for a much larger cooking surface than my George Forman grill. Which I love, but is way too small for more than one person.

I've used this quite often. However, I thought I'd be more impressed. Food seems to stick and burn, although it's gotten a bit better after more use.

Like outdoor grilling, you have to make sure the pan is hot enough, put the meat in the pan and not move it around or keep flipping. Just wait until the one side is done, then flip. I'm going to try to (re)season it myself and see if that helps.

Adds a nice flavor to the food and leaves grill marks. Whatever you do, don't touch the handle after heating without a hot pad. The entire pan gets extremely hot.

Despite the sticking, it cleans up rather nicely. When there's food stuck to the bottom, I put it back on the stove with a little water, bring it to a boil, throw in a bit of baking soda and let it boil for about 5 minutes. After it cools a bit, scrub it with a sponge and it comes right off and looks new again.

You do have to make sure to dry your cast iron well if it gets wet or it will rust. If this happens, don't throw it out! Scrub the rust off with a brillo pad or a ball of crumpled aluminum foil, rinse, dry well and reseason it.

If you're trying to decide between the grill or flat pan, I'd choose the flat pan first. I also have the pre-seasoned flat pan and like it more. It's easier to work with and doesn't smoke quite as much. Also a little easier to clean because it doesn't have the grilling surface.

Cast iron is very heavy, but sturdy, conducts great heat & will last a lifetime. Keep a hot pad close by so you won't forget to use it.

Circulon Infinite Hard Anodized Nonstick 10-Inch and 12-Inch Skillets Twin Pack

Circulon Infinite Hard Anodized Nonstick 10-Inch and 12-Inch Skillets Twin PackUntil hard-anodized aluminum came along, professional chefs scoffed at the very notion of nonstick cookware. Once they gave it a try, whole new culinary worlds opened up. How else can you whip up a scrambled eggs with cheese concoction and not leave half of it stuck to the pan? Meanwhile, the rest of us looked on wistfully and sighed at the high price, not to mention the fact that you can't just throw it in the dishwasher or look to the future and use it on an induction cooktop.

Infinite Circulon changed all that, especially with this 10-inch and 12-inch pair of open skillets. They're everything you expect from Circulon 2, like a nonstick surface that's really nonstick plus the ability to cook on ANY kind of stove, including induction. The hollow stainless steel handles really do stay cool on the stove while upping the in-the-oven temperature to a whopping 500 degrees F. When you're done, they can go right into the dishwasher and come out looking new, not pitted and corroded.

For a Lenten Friday dinner, we made whole wheat Fettuccine Marinara finished Bolognese-style, cooking and stirring the firm pasta in a couple cups of sauce until tender in the 12-inch skillet. Marinara sauce is hardly a challenge and it washed right out. On to a tougher challenge!

I made a couple fried egg and cold cut sandwiches the following Saturday, first frying the meat in the ungreased 12-incher, followed by the eggs without adding any grease or oil. Perfection! The eggs picked up a little of the browned bits left from frying the meat and that added some flavor. A quick hand-wash cleaned up with minimal effort.

Lately, the 10 inch skillet and my portable induction cooktop have become weekly visitors to the breakroom at work.Wednesday is hot breakfast day and I can turn out one omelet after another without having to scrape a mess out of the pan after each one. When we're in the mood for pancakes, I pack my Infinite Circulon round griddle.

As another reviewer points out, the manufacturer warns against using cooking spray, but it's OK to add a touch of oil for flavor. I oven fried a few strips of bacon and while the bacon drained on a layer of paper towels I poured off all of the grease, leaving behind a thin coating. I dumped in a double batch of Jiffy corn muffin mix and put it back into the oven for about 25 minutes. The result: a skillet Johnnycake that slipped right out and onto the cutting board. There's definitely an ooey-gooey pineapple upside-down cake in this skillet's future. It's already become my first choice when I need an easy-to-clean baking dish or small roasting pan for, say, a quartet of quarter-pound meatballs.

With its low price and cook-anywhere versatility, Infinite Circulon really is investment-quality cookware. When this pair of skillets is on sale, it's all that and a steal.

We decided on the Cirulon Infinite cookware after looking at a lot of other brands. The quality and versatility makes this affordable (a relative term, I know) line of cookware a great value. After 6 months of heavy use, we are more than pleased with the durability and performance.

* Very Thick Bottoms Allows for even heating of cooking surface

* Great Nonstick Surface Really nonstick, no issues at all DO NOT use nonstick sprays or "heavy oils" as these will ruin the nonstick properties (read the instructions)!

* Requires Less Oils We were able to cut way back on the amount of cooking oils we use

* Durable

* Oven Safe

* Dishwasher Safe

*Important* Follow the manufactures instructions and you will have great results.

I wanted to love these pans. I read all the reviews before buying them and thought they'd be really great pans. I've had them for two years now. I've been very careful with them, never washing them in the dishwasher, never cleaning them while hot, never using metal utensils, using the tiniest amount of oil, if any at all. These pans kept their "non-stickiness" for less than a year.

I'm disappointed. My daughter bought a pair shortly after I did, and she's disappointed too. We've had non-stick pans before that were much better for the same price. So, beware, these won't be non-stick for long, and you will be left with two nice, heavy pans that stuff sticks to.

Also, the design of the larger pan is not the best. The handle is too long and thin, and the pan is so heavy it's nearly impossible to pick up to pour anything out of it. There needs to be another handle on the other side. To be fair, other reviewers mentioned this; I just thought I was stronger than average. (I'm apparently not--the pan is too heavy for me).

So, buyer beware. You might be disappointed if non-stick is really important to you.

They are very high quality and a great value for the price. I've had them about a week and have used them a few times, I've very happy with them, they fry well, clean up great and are very pretty. I took the advice of another buyer and put a paper towel between them when storing since they have a bottom that might scratch the other one. I'm sorry folks, but I do cook with oils sometimes, that hasn't seemed to harm them, although I haven't had them too long. So we'll see. The sides are very high and the bottoms aren't large, so it would limit some things I'd like to cook, however, the high sides might be good for other things. I noticed after cooking in them yesterday with a temperature a little over medium that the bottom picked up the image of the gas burner... it did come off, but if not cleaned each time, it might discolor the bottoms a lot. The handles stay cool! and I was concerned with that but no problem. They are a little heavy and takes a couple of hands to lift the big one...so if you have any wrist problems, arthritis or are getting older, these might not be the ones for you. All in all, I'm very happy with them so far.

I did so much research over the last few months and decided to try these pans.I've owned quite a few pans over the years that included some that I was totally disappointed with but continued to use. Now, I finally found Circulon and these with be pots/pans I will use forever.

Even heating, stay cool handles, great weight but not too heavy at all, easy cleaning and doesn't look or feel cheap. I hand wash, but if someone puts in the dishwasher, I won't panic. Now, I will purchase other pieces and look forward to cooking once again.

All-Clad Stainless 8-Inch Fry Pan

All-Clad Stainless 8-Inch Fry PanAfter getting the 10-inch version of this pan, I found a great deal on the 8-inch pan and picked it up for smaller jobs in the kitchen. This was a great decision.

8 inches *is* small for a lot of cooking and this shouldn't be your primary fry pan but it is great for doing smaller jobs on the side or for cooking up things for one or two people.I use this guy for eggs, meat and more. The pan heats really evenly and feels great in my hand. The handle does a great job of dispersing heat and staying cool, too. And, though it doesn't come with a lid, the medium lid from the All Clad pots fit it well.

When things do stick, I don't worry about attacking it and scratching off the surface.I can use a scraper, sponge, or scouring pad without any problems.Metal can be used but it is more likely to scratch. And it is safe in the dishwasher although I recommend handwashing as much as possible.

Some cooking tips I learned with this type of pan:Use a lower heat, not because you have to (like with non-stick), but because it heats so evenly, you often don't need that higher temperature. Also when you throw something in, whether you are using butter, oil, a spray, or nothing, let it sit and cook a bit before you try to move it around.Hamburger, for example, will adhere to the pan at first and if you try stirring it up right away, small pieces will be stuck and are more likely to burn.Rather, wait until it has a minute or two to cook on that side. The parts that adhere will cook, separate and lift away from the pan so you can stir it easier. And when you are done, if there is any food stuck to the pan, put some water in it and let it boil for a few minutes. This will help lift it off and make cleaning easier.

Again, a great pan, a great brand, and definitely worth the money since it will last you a lifetime with the warranty they give you.

This small frypan is my main item. I cook for myself only (usually) and if anyone out there wants to try out the All-Clad line of cookware, this is the one to start with. Once you do, you, as I, will want to expand your collection of this superior product. You can get messy with it; you can make a mistake & have the heat too high, you can even leave it in the sink uncleaned for a day or two.....it will still clean up easily and look brand new. As stated in the ads, the handles really do stay cool; that's a nice change of pace! Not to mention the fact that the company is still in business; the lifetime guarantee really means something! Did I forget to say that this cookware is simply "beautiful?"

I thoroughly enjoy these 8" frypans. I own TWO.My husband likes 'sunny-side-up' eggs and I prefer lighly scrambled.I prepare both pans by melting very small amounts of equal parts oil (oil keeps the butter from burning & butter (butter gives the eggs a nice flavor) . While his eggs are frying, I am scrambling mine.Clean up is easy. While we have our breakfast the pans are soaking in soapy water, and by the time we are finished and clearing the table the pans are ready for washing.Cooked egg slips off easily, pan is shiny, and I am happy. Preparing a non-stick pan before cooking is key, and when it's done properly the pan behaves as a non-stick.

Bialetti Aeternum 12-Inch Covered Deep Saute

Bialetti Aeternum 12-Inch Covered Deep SauteMy wife gave me this pan for Christmas and I am very impressed.I've been searching for alternatives to regular non-stick pans due to concerns over the coatings having toxic chemicals in them.I already have cast iron and steel pans that I use regularly, but even with proper conditioning of those pans (baking on solid oils, cleaning only with oil and salt, etc.) there are some foods that stick to them, such as scrambled eggs. The other drawback of cast iron (and steel to a lesser extent) is weight pouring out hot food in particular can be a bit tough with a large cast iron pan.

This Bialetti pan addresses all those problems. It is very lightweight, with a nice handle that makes it easy to grip and control. The non-stick interior is excellent scrambled eggs leave pretty much no trace other than a tiny spot of butter here or there, which washes right off.The heating and cooking is even and predictable. Finally, the pan's red bottom and handle is attractive enough that my wife and I agreed to hang it on the wall. The only potential drawback I can think of is that I worry that the ceramic interior may chip if abused, which contributed to our decision to hang it on the wall rather than put it in the cabinet with all the other pans.

Overall a great pan I plan on buying a couple more in other sizes. While some foods will continue to be used with the cast iron and steel pans, these Bialetti pans have definitely earned a place in the kitchen for sticky/tough to clean foods!

[11 months later: The pan has started to become less non-stick. Scrambled eggs now stick to it, although they come off with reasonable dish brush pressure.Other foods leave a residue as well that requires some pressure to clean. So this is now no longer truly a non-stick pan, which is disappointing. We never abused the pan (i.e. left heated without contents, scrubbed with abrasive cleaners, etc.).As a result, I've reduced my review to 3 stars.]

I bought this pan on January and was very pleased with it. It was easy to clean, didn't require lots of oil...In no time (it's April now) the surface gets damaged some, and now even the eggs get stuck to the interior...even with plenty of oil. I'd also like to point out that I've been taking a good care of the saute following the manufacture instructions on not cleaning it while it's hot etc...

Will not recommend this product...It is only good when it's new, new.

This is the best non-stick pan that I have ever used. I only use a slight amount of oil, but it could essentially be oil free for a lot of uses. Foods will crisp up very well with little or no oil. Easy to clean as well, could be a wipe out with a paper towel, with most foods. Takes high heat without burning, or staining the inside of the pan.

Like many, I wanted to replace my aging nonstick pans with a PFOA/PTFE free alternative.I love cooking with deep, lidded saute pans--they're versatile, and an affordable since they can handle sauces and omelets--no need for an entire set of pans. However, when it comes to PFOA/PTFE free lidded saute pans, there are few options.I looked at various PFOA/PTFE free cookware reviews and all of them had complaints of chipping and decline in non-stick performance.

None of this has been my experience.I love my Bialetti pan. I've had it since the end of October and it doesn't have a chip or a scratch on its nonstick coating. Food doesn't stick to it and it's a breeze to clean.

I waited to write my review because I wanted to see if the pan held up. It has, and I would recommend it providing you know how to properly care for nonstick cookware. I think many of the negative reviewers are not treating their pans properly.

1. Cook with care. You should only be using spoons/spatulas/flippers that will not scratch the pan.Seems like a no-brainer but anything metal would be a no-no.I use silicone.

2. Wash with care. Wait until the pan is completely cool to wash it.Don't expose the pan to extreme temperature change or plunge a hot pan into water.I don't have a dishwasher and even if I did, I would NEVER put this pan in it.I've always washed my pan by hand using the soft side of the sponge. That's all you need. I've never used the green scrubby side, and while you probably can, you don't need to.

3. Store with care. Don't put things (other than food) in this pan. Don't stack other pans in it. I turn it face down on my drying rack so I don't set any other dishes in it. I store it with its lid on.

4. Understand that you use different types of pans for different types of cooking.I love my Bialetti but I'd never use it to sear a steak (grab the all clad stainless steel).Saute some veggies al dente? That's the Bialetti.

5. You don't have to use oil, butter, or cooking spray, but there's even less stick when you do.

So no chips, no cracks, no problems or complaints.Maybe I'll do an update in another 9 months to let you know if anything has changed.

I bought this pan in March, and it was wonderful for a few weeks. Then it gradually started losing its non-stick super powers. Now, only 5 months later, it's totally useless. The search goes on for a healthy non-stick solution. Don't waste your money on this.

As Seen on TV Non-Stick New Orgreenic 12" Frying Pan

As Seen on TV Non-Stick New Orgreenic 12' Frying PanThis 12" Frying Pan does not fit properly with a 12" Lid, because of the shape of the frying pan. The top of the frying pan

needs be be a little wider to fit any 12" cover.

Not what I expected nor did it perform as I thought from advertisements but is comparable to others in it's class.I followed directions precisely prior to use and still it did not perform as I thought.Food did stick a little and clean up was not as easily as advertised.Still had to use a minor bit of oil and it still tends to brown/burn too quickly even at very low heat.

Woll Diamond Plus Fry Pan, 8-Inch

Woll Diamond Plus Fry Pan, 8-Inch...because this is the most perfect nonstick small skillet/egg pan ever!Much better price elsewhere on the Internet; but I can't imagine a better designed & manufactured piece of essential cookware.Balance/weight, range of temperature, ease of use/cleanup, and adaptability with existing 8" glass lids and all heat sources (except induction) make this the "holy grail" of daily necessity cookware for me.Woll is unbeatable and well worth even this premium price, as far as I'm concerned. As my last essential utility nonstick pan, a 9.5" sauté, rapidly approaches its nonstick end I'm impatiently looking forward to replacing it with a Woll Nowo Titanium one.Don't even think about trying newfangled ceramic nonstick surface "experiments" they DO NOT WORK.Woll seems to have perfected ultimate practically indestructible rinse'n'wipe cookware technology! Will just have to see how it holds up but I'd wager it will continue working like new for a decade or more.Couldn't be happier!

This is a fantastic pan!The pan is thick (10mm) but it's light because it's solid aluminum (BTW, don't let self-appointed health "experts" convince you that aluminum gives you alzheimer's disease. The growing body of evidence proves it does not). There's no PFOA (which IS quite harmful) because they found a way to infuse the non-stick coating right to the metal directly. That means it'll withstand the scratches and heat and abuse better than most non-sticks.So far, that's entirely true.I scraped the tines of my fork hard on a spot towards the rim of the pan and it didn't scratch off the nonstick.I also took my heavy spoons and spatulas and tapped them firmly against the rim like I would when I'm cooking to see if it'd ding up and leave marks. It did NOT.By all accounts, the diamond-plus pans are incredibly durable. The vendor claims that even if it discolors a bit or gets scratched (which I haven't been able to accomplish by being rough on it), there's no harm because the non-stick coating is fused to the metal. Gotta say I'm loving it so far. Time will tell if they hold up like this in a year or two. I'll report back.

It also cooks incredibly evenly and heats up/cools off quickly because of the aluminum. For example, on my old crappy pots and pans, if I turn the burner on high with an inch of water in the bottom, there'll be like a ring of bubbles right where the elements are or right where the warped pan bottoms touch the heating elements. But in THIS pan, the heat is transferred evenly and thus the entire surface bubbles evenly showing me that the whole bottom is the same temperature.Things fry the exact same way in this pan...there's no "hot spot".I fried up a bunch of sausage (without greasing the pan at all first) and after each turn, they all had the same browning level which told me the sausages on the edge had the same heat under them as the sausages in the middle of the pan. Finally!I was tired of having to rotate them to different spots in the pan so there weren't burnt ones and raw ones.

The pan is incredibly flat and precise. There's no rocking when it's on a flat surface because the bottom was turned with precision. Now, if there is a fault with this pan (and I don't know that this is the fault of the pan) its that the super shiny underside picks up stains quickly and they're hard to scour off because of the texture. On the other hand, that texture makes it nice and grippy so it doesn't slide around on my flat glass range. On my old pans, the slightest touch to the handle can send it spinning all the way around in a circle or send it off the glassy burner altogether.THIS pan absolutely does not.Something about it grips really well to the glass surface I've got.

I don't want to get sucked in by the hype of the "making of" videos, but so far this is performing fantastically and just as advertised. But as I've heard others mention, almost ALL nonstick works great at first. It's not until you use it for a year or two before you find out what it's really made of.I'll keep everyone posted with my findings as time goes on.

I thought I would share my experience with Woll pans. I bought the pan two years ago and it has been great for some time, but all of a sudden the pan started sticking, now almost everything sticks and I have to soak the pan to clean it. When I was buying this pan I was told by the rep it would last 10 years easy what a lie. I have spoken to my friend who bought the pan following my advise her pan is useless as well. Search the internet before you decide to buy this expensive pan, there are numerous complaints about Woll products losing its non-stick capabilities. I must say, I never used anything metal on the pan, barely used any detergents to clean it and was very careful with it and it gave up on me.

I have tried many non stick products and this is the best. It is not like the usual pan in that it does just as well w/o oil as with. When at the correct temperature it cooks through like a hot oven. It is also twice as heavy as any similarly sized pan including cast iron.Great to show off your flipping ability since sticking is not an issue.
