Magnalite Classic 15-Inch Oval Covered Roasterafter reading both the 15 and 18 inch roaster reviews i learned that these magnalites are made in china now and so the testimonies of magnalite quality over many years are no longer valid for these chinese models. what we need are reviews by people who have actually purchased these now available from china. apparently some reviewers of the 18 inch

model say there are problems now. the reviews for the 15 inch model seem to focus on older usa made models in the family for years...but that isn't helpful since they aren't even made here now. please, some of you who've actually used these new products...write some reviews for us...

My mother always used Guardian Service cookware, bought back in the early 1950's, which was the ultimate in cookware then, also being cast aluminum. I inherited her cookware (which they no longer make) but not until I had already purchased a Magnalite set, which is the closest match to the Guardian Service. It is true waterless cooking. Easy clean up. I never had to "season" mine first (that's usually only done with cast iron cookware) and I've had most of my Magnalite pieces for 30 years. A 15 lb turkey fits in the 15" roaster and I get raves every Thanksgiving . . . the roaster practically makes it's own dark, rich gravy and the turkey meat is so moist! To me, as a devoted family "chef", nothing on the market can beat Magnalite.

My Mom got her 15" Magnalite oval roaster in the 1970s, I think (although it may have been my Dad the professional cook who decided to buy it).It's still in the family today and is in wonderful shape; however, it is a Wagner Ware Magnalite roaster (made in the USA), not the Chinese-made Magnalite Classic you can buy new nowadays.If you like the Magnalite concept but are concerned about the quality control of the new pieces, try looking for used Magnalite pans, either on Amazon Marketplace or eBay.(The eBay listings will typically include a picture of the bottom of the pot, so you can confirm which version of Magnalite is being sold.On Amazon Marketplace, perhaps you could contact the seller with a question if their written description doesn't provide enough detail about the item you're considering.)That said, if you do decide to buy the Magnalite Classic 15" roaster new from Amazon, at least they have a very good return policy if there's any problems with the product you receive.Good luck!

All-Clad Stainless 2-Quart SaucepanI have read people's comments about the relatively small diameter (6") of All-Clad's 2-quart saucepan.I find that the narrow diameter of this pan maintains a very hot, moist "atmosphere" in the upper region of the inside, even with the lid off.Because of that, the top of the food in the pan benefits from the radiant heat above it as well as from the physical-contact heat of the bottom and sides of the pan, even as you are adding ingredients and stirring, and with little loss of moisture from the food.The narrowness of the top of the pan helps prevent the wafting away of heat and moisture.(Using a long-handled stirring tool helps to protect your fingertips from the steam!)If you find that you are filling this pot with food, you really should transfer the food to a larger pot.In the 2-quart pan, leave enough space above the food for the "head of steam".A truly wonderful design!



I recently purchased the All-Clad 2Qt. Stainless Saucepan.The pan is heavier than most saucepans I have used in the past, but the added length of the handle more than compensates for the additional weight.

I found the pan to be extremely adept.I found that the heat transferred evenly throughout the cooking process.My ingredients did not scald or burn.

I have purchased premium cookware (I thought) in the past, but the All-Clad is by far superior to what I have.This was my first purchase, but not my last.

This is another of the workhorse pans in my kitchen. The AllClad Stainless 2qt pot is marvelous for cooking sauces that will bubble or foam; for sauces involving fruits that may need to boil. The height allows for ingredients to grow, and the small diameter means you are not waiting for items to heat up. The pot heats quickly and evenly.

Try it for cranberry sauce at the holidays, or any small sauces involving milk or cheese. Remember that the pan does not have a great surface area, so timing and delicacy in preparations is key. Leaving the pot unattended on a high heat is not a smart idea. Keeping the pot with a good warmth, slowly working up the heat of your sauce or fruit is one of the best ways to use it.

The only downside of this pot is that yes, it is difficult to pour from, and the small surface area of the pot (=smaller open area) means that ladles are often too unwieldy for it. So be prepared beforehand to know how you're going to get your sauce out of the pot without making much of a mess.

As a food writer and recipe developer who's been cooking for more than 30 years, pots and pans are heavily used in my kitchen.Over the years I've bought and reviewed many brands of cookware. I've cooked on gas stoves, electric, and even glass topped electric ranges. Different kinds of cookware work better depending on the type of stove you have *and* how you tend to cook.

For example, a gas stove heats immediately. It's never a good idea-unless you're bringing liquid to a boil-to set the range temperture on high. In fact, with a gas stove, I even boil water over medium-high heat with any kind of pots or pans, especially nonstick. With an electric stove, care must be taken with regards to how long you leave a pot or pan on the hot burner, and for traditional cookware (without nonstick surface), you'll have to preheat the burner before trying to sear or brown meats, fry eggs, etc. Glass topped stoves can't take some types of cookware without risk of damaging the glass surface. THAT said, Paula Deen's Signature Stainless Steel II 12 Piece Cookware set can be used with care on any type of burner for many years of regular use. The set has a limited lifetime warranty.

Pros

-solidly made for long, reliable use of pots and lids

-traditional, uncoated pots can handle any type of utinsels, including wire whisks or immersion blenders

-lids fit snuggly

-well thought out, practical changes from earlier cookware sets by Paula Deen (see below)

-although stated oven-safety to 350 degrees, oven cooking could risk damage to handles

Another reviewer mentioned the cookware in the set is lightweight, which worried me until my set arrived. It isn't feather-light, and you wouldn't want it to be. Light cookware is often an indication of cheaply made pots and pans. This set is solid, medium weight, with hefty stainless steel bottoms for even heat distribution and aluminum with stainless steel construction. These aren't 100% stainless steel pots and pans; it says so right on the box. The nonstick pans are aluminum, meaning you'll have to keep cooking temperature lower to prevent damage... including flaking off or bubbling of the Teflon coating.

How does this set differ from Paula Deen's Traditional Stainless Steel set, or her 1st Signature Stainless Steel set? Aside from the obvious re-design of the glass lids (which are nicer in this new set), gone are the loose, floppy, annoying rings on the handles for hanging. Instead, the handles are much more solidly made with comfortable silicone grips and holes drilled into the outer ends for hanging. Construction of this new set is also far better and sturdier than her earlier sets. Unlike Paula's original signature series, these pots and pans don't have copper bottoms. As with most nonstick cookware, if you give the pans a serious workout on a daily basis, you can expect to replace them in a few years, but the pots and lids truly should last a decade or longer.

You'll receive 1, 2, and 3 quart covered saucepans, a 6 quart stock pot with lid, an 8" aluminum skillet, and a 10" aluminum skillet, plus a slotted turner and a slotted spoon. I'm rating the set at 4 stars. Paula Deen's new set is on par with a decent set of Revereware, is better than her enameled, nonstick set for longevity, is better than brands like T-fal, but probably isn't as great for a serious cook as Calphalon Unison. Nevertheless, it looks to be a reliable, affordable set of cookware.



()I've had this set of cookware for about 5 weeks now.I've used it enough to make a fair comparison to other stainless sets I've owned in the past few years.To be fair, this is the least expensive of three I've owned, so I will keep this in mind in my comparison.

This set has a nice selection of 4 stainless steel pots and 2 aluminum, teflon-coated skillets.The pots are attractive and unique in their teardrop shape, making them fun to have and use.They have a stainless-enclosed disc on the bottom for even heating, a feature that gives the pans a nice heft, and the rolled rims are finished very nicely. They come with well-fitting stainless steel rimmed, glass lids with "soft-touch," heat resistant handles that have copper inserts for a little added color and class.They are identified as oven safe for up to 350 degrees.

The skillets are made of aluminum and are of quite noticeably lighter weight, which immediately made me think "cheap", but they performed well, the foods sliding around without sticking and clean up was easy.I have a ceramic-top electric range so my concern with using skillets as light as these is warping after much use.So far, I have not had a problem. They sat flat and heated evenly, though I was careful to use low to medium heat. Time will tell.The two utensils (slotted spoon and spatula) that come with the set are handy and comfortable to use.

I've had no problems so far with the performance of this cookware and feel that it is a nice, inexpensive stainless steel set for someone starting out or wanting to update their kitchen cookware.There are certainly more expensive sets out there but I think that this is a very nice, well made, and attractive set for the price.

()The Paula Dean Signature Stainless Steel II 12-Piece Cookware Set is great for beginners, first-time homeowners, and as a general starter cookware set.The set is fairly inclusive with a couple of utensils, stockpot, three saucepans, four lids, and two skillets.

The skillets are very lightweight, which is good or okay depending on your desire.For those that need a lightweight set because of difficulty of lifting heavy items this is great.It's one of the lightest I've ever used.However, I personally prefer a thicker bottom for heat distribution and even cooking.The stockpot and saucepans are also fairly lightweight.

The lids are well made, however, some of the handles and screws were loose upon opening the box.They just needed a quick tightening, but it could be a question of quality in the future.The lids are glass and great for seeing what's cooking.The design is fairly simplistic with straight handles and gently molded stainless steel that curves along the top.The curves give it a slight southern feel in my opinion, especially with the ccpper-like accents on the handles.The utensils aren't a major addition in terms of quality.Very simple slotted spoon and slotted turner.

Overall, this is a great starter set.It's possible that you'd need a new set in 3-5 years (especially with the nonstick skillets), but it's a fairly nice design and is a good sized set.

()I am really enjoying cooking on this cookware. It cooks evenly but I've noticed you need to watch what you're cooking more closely than "coated" cookware.yAs for what it looks like, nothing is prettier than stainless steel pots all shined up. The lids are glass so you can see what you are cooking. The 2 skillets are non-stick. The info sheet says the pots (not skillets) are dishwasher safe. I put one of the pots in the dishwasher and didn't like the way it looked, lots of spots, so I hand-wash all of them. This cookware set would make a nice wedding gift. I definitely would recommend this!!

()And you'll still be able to see what's cooking.Why did we live so long without see-through lids???This non-stick set from Paula Deen isn't bad.I have never had a set of teflon cookware before, and I made a fried egg yesterday that explains why this stuff is so popular. The egg slid out beautifully, I cooked another one just for the fun of it.

The set is certainly complete for most needs.You get two frying pans, three saucepans (one, two and three-quart), a six quart "stockpot" (but if you make real stock, you know this is way too small...think of it as a pot for soups or stews). There are four lids. The two larger lids fit the biggest saucepan and stock pot, as well as the frying pans. You also get a slotted plastic for and a plastic spoon, about the quality of those sold in the 99C store.Nothing special, but then, they don't need to be.The handles are designed for hanging.

Speaking of handles are riveted on, but I'm already wondering how long before they start to loosen up. For $99.94, I want longevity.If the handles or the coatings prove problematic, I'll come back and revise this review. But right now, it's looking like five stars.The set certainly seems reasonably sturdy.The weight is about medium, not superlight/flimsy, and not so heavy your wrist snaps off when you drain the pasta.The handles are silicone...very comfortable to hold and they don't overheat. The set is ovenproof to 350 degrees.I really like the way the set looks.The pots are not straight sided, but have a slight curve. Very attractive and I understand that because the base is wider than the top, food heats faster and stays worm longer.There is probably a scientific term for this.There is probably a scientific term for everything, now that I think of it, but I will not look it up and inflict it upon you. You're being nice enough to read this in the first place and I don't want to push my luck here.

Using non-stick cookware seems a little counter intuitive. With regular pans, you have to heat the pan and then add cold oil to prevent sticking. With these, it's not a good idea to overheat an empty pan. This can, over time, cause the non-stick coating to bubble up.Other than that, it looks like these are no different from regular non-non-stick. Just remember to use plastic utensils only.

Now I have no excuse for not making one Paula's bacon and potato salad...a dish I actually have dreams about.

Ingredients

4 strips bacon

1 pound small red potatoes, unpeeled

1 green onion, sliced

1 boiled egg, chopped

1/4 cup mayonnaise

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

Salt and pepper

Directions

Cook bacon until crispy. Drain, reserving a few tablespoons of the grease, and crumble. Set aside.

Place the potatoes in a large saucepan. Cover with cold water. Add a tablespoon of the bacon grease and some salt and place over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil and cook until the potatoes are tender, about 15 to 20 minutes. Drain and let the potatoes cool and then cut into bite-size pieces.

In a separate bowl, mix mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper for dressing.

Toss potatoes, onion, and egg in dressing. Add bacon (I'd add even more back, maybe 3 or 4 more slices) Serve chilled.

This serves one person, two if the other one is very small and easily overpowered.

KitchenAid Aluminum Non-stick 11" Covered Deep Skillet

KitchenAid Aluminum Nonstick 11' Covered Deep Skillet, RedI got this pan to replace the 2-quart skillet in the red Kitchen Aid set. At first I wasn't sure about the rounded bottom (the other set had more "square" bottoms, but that hasn't effected anything I've cooked thus far. However, unlike the old pan, you can't simply flip the lid with the handle in the pan for storage purposes.

Other than that, however, this is an example of the same high quality, reliable product I've found Kitchen Aid products to be over the past seven years.



Had another KitchenAid set that didn't come with a big pan. Bought this one to match and it works great!

All-Clad 5112 Stainless 12-Inch Fry PanI fry eggs in my All-Clad pans all the time.Some tips:

1.Mmake sure the pan is impeccably clean.I give it a quick once over with a soft sponge and Cameo Stainless Steel Cleanser before I fry eggs in it.

2.Heat the pan for 2 minutes before adding the oil.I find that butter is better than oil for eggs.If I'm on a diet, I use a little oil with just a touch of butter.

3.Let the oil heat before adding the eggs.

4.Let the eggs set before moving the pan around.Once the white is set, you can swirl the eggs around in the pan to make sure they release before you give them a flip.If perchance they stick a little, I use a small, heat resistant flexible spatula to gently coax the sticky places off the pan.



This pan is great, easy to cook with, very even heating, and very light for its size compared to cast iron, solid steel, or copper bottom pans.

It seems a little pricey, but once you cook with it a while, you realize why it is so good.

Metal handles help when doing oven pan roasting -they don't melt like plastic ones do, but still stay cool on the stove top -unlike some other brands metal handles.

You get a good fond with it, so you have lots of good stuff left for making gravies and pan sauces with.

No non-stick stuff to flake off.Metal handles are rivoted on, so they don't fall off like those cheap bolted on plastic ones (anything by Faberware) or the welded on metal ones.

The only caution is don't cook things like eggs and pancakes in it -they stick like crazy no matter how much oil you use..... buy a non-stick pan for that sort of stuff.

Nothing tops All-Clad cookware. It looks fantastic and it performs like no other. I prefer the stainless line because it's dishwasher safe and because I like the neat polished exterior. Looks great hanging on a rack glistening in the sunlight. Be sure to pick up some "Bar Keepers Friend" cleanser because thats one of the few products will take off minor stains. This 12-inch frypan is great for a large stir-fry, a pound of bacon, just about anything BIG that won't in a 10-inch.

OK.Here is how you cook eggs in a stainless steel pan.

1)Preheat the pan to 130 degrees F (takes about 90 seconds on HIGH on an electric top).

2)Set cook temp to medium-low to maintain that temp.

3)Add a small amount of oil or butter.

4)PRE-WARM THE EGGS!This is the secret.Cold eggs taken directly from the refrigerator will always stick.Either let them sit on the counter for 10 minutes.Or run them under hot water for 1 minute.

5)Crack the eggs into the pan.Let them cook 1 minute.

6)Slightly reduce heat and let them firmly "set" before flipping.

7)Flip with the flexible thin stainless steel spatula.

For those still having problems, do this.After adding the oil, sprinkle a very light layer of salt on the bottom of the pan with the oil.Technically the salt is not recommended long term, as heat + salt can corrode stainless steel.In my experience doing this on occassion helps the pan retain its seasoning and non-stick properties.

You have to keep stainless steel pans VERY clean to do non-stick cooking on them like eggs.Occasionally you are going to get a thin layer of food build-up which needs stainless steel pad scrubbing to remove.

Cooking eggs is no problem in stainless steel, just takes more patience than Teflon.The eggs taste MUCH better on stainless steel than Teflon.

You need a good HEAVY pan with an aluminum core like this All-Clad to get good heat management.Light weight pans don't have the heat capacity and when those cold foods/eggs hit the pan, they will stick.

I have owned this pan for several years now, along with many other All-Clad pans. I love them.Pricy yes, but once you buy them you never have to replace them, which makes them comparatively cheap! (in price only, not in quality)

While this pan won't work just like a nonstick pan, it does cook evenly and foods (even eggs and pancakes) won't stick if you follow the basic rule.

First, heat the pan. After the pan has come up to temperature you can add the oil.Only add the food after the oil has heated.

Before I gave in and bought the expensive All-Clad pans, I was going through a set of pans every few years or so.I know for sure that I have bought the last set of cookware I will ever need. That is a wonderfull feeling!

If you are hesitant to spend the price for All-Clad stainless, think back over the last 10 or 15 years.Add up what you have paid for all the pans you had to keep replacing!

Scanpan Classic 3-Piece Starter SetScanpan cookware is great to use if you don't trust traditional nonstick because you can't use metal utensils or some foods, give Scanpan a try. Since the nonstick properties are part of the cookware alloy, not acoating, you can use anything (metal, wood, etc) and it won't scratch ordamage the surface.You don't have to baby it.It doesn'tscratch.

Cleanup is a breeze (with the exception of the grill pan, whichis nice to use, but difficult to clean because of the circularridges).

To their credit, these pans cook more evenly than anything else I've used besides the original Scanpan. A big strike against them: They are NOT the original Scanpan! I loved my old indestructible Scanpans. I LOVED that they didn't have a Teflon-type lining, but instead a ceramic film that was sprayed on at umpty-thousand degrees. They cured up better than black iron, and cooked hash browns the same color edge to edge! I could use metal spatulas! My new Scanpans are starting to peel....Man, that aggravates me! BRING BACK MY ORIGINAL SCANPANS!!!!!

This is a great set at a great price.The frying pan takes a while toheat up but it cooks so evenly great pancakes!The low dutch oven isnice because the sides are not so high that you have to stick your arm waydown in the pot but not so low that there's a problem fitting a reasonableamount in.I use it a lot with the steamer insert.

Joie Piggy Wiggy Mini Fry PanI purchased this product. The eggs that you make in them don't look like pigs. Also, you have to flip them over to cook the other side which is awkward in this pan. I tried cooking with a plate ontop to help cook the top of the egg but it didnt help much.

A large, beaten egg is a little too big for the pan too. I would buy the cheaper round pan sold on amazon if I could go back.

We purchased 3 of these pans hoping our eggs would look like pigs, they didn't. It was really hard to turn them to the other side as well, I had to use a fork. On another occasion I tried frying mini pancakes hoping they would look like pigs, but they didn't either. Really hard to turn to the other side as well. After about 4 or 5 times of frying eggs, the pink handle started cracking at the bottom of the 3 pans.

I bought this pan at a store hoping to be able to use it for making egg breakfast sandwiches. The egg gets hopelessly stuck in the pan (so much for non-stick) and it is impossible to turn. So the bottom of the egg gets burned while the top is still raw. I then tried using this pan to make cute, little piggy pancakes and I even used a bit of oil to make the pancake batter not stick, again no success. The pancake got totally ruined when I tried to flip it and it still stuck to the pan.

My first 'good' frypan and I see now why it's good. Others, with the real cladding only on the bottom, can have burning or unwanted hot spots where the cladding stops (especially on sloped sided pans). This, with cladding all the way up, this doesn't happen. I don't think the price can be beat.

After a couple of years they will wear out like similar pans.But don't think you're getting top of the line cookware.The first egg I cooked in the 8.5 stuck slightly.The teflon finish was rougher than I expected. I have other cheap teflon coated pans that have a smoother finish and they are better than these.Also, the angle of the edge is not conducive to flipping fried eggs.I would not buy these again, I don't recommend them, but they will serve their purpose.

It is so very hard to find decent pans to cook with these days. Most are made cheaply and stick or burn everything. Not these pans. these are high quality pans. I bought these pans to try first after buying a whole set of other brand pans from somewhere else that was a disaster. These pans are heavy and made of superior materials. The nonstick finish says it is metal safe and it really is. I've never had pans with this type of nonstick in them and I absolutely love them. No more scratches on my good pans from the kids using the wrong utensils to cook with.

They are also oven safe to 500 degrees. Which makes these pans very versatile. I will be looking for a complete set of this line. Well worth every penny and as with all of my other Farberware purchases will last a long time. I have a roasting pan that I use almost every day for just about everything.I bought it in 1987. Now a days pans don't last 6 months let alone 26years! After the last fiasco with other pans I'm sticking with Farberware.

They weren't listed as seconds, but the handle of one pan looked like it had been scraped up and recoated, and there were rough burs on the end of the handle.Yes, the pan will work fine.But it's not attractive.The other pan handle was fine.

The angle at which the handle is attached to the pan is tight.not enough to seal things out, but too narrow to easily clean.It is rivetted against the pan, then curves up and out.The part where it goes up, before it bends out, is where it goes up against the pan but not quite.I anticipate this will turn gross in time.

Also, the shape is not idea.Instead of a curve from the base up the walls, it is flat, then slants up.This makes it not great for flipping something with a flick of the wrist.Loose things will be tossed fine, but if you are flipping something like a crispy scallion pancake, it's not a great shape.

I absolutely love these pans. They are about as streamlined as pans get--no huge bulbous handle here. And the nonstick works wonderfully. the pans are strong and sturdy. They don't wobble on the stove. They are balanced perfectly. I wish all pans were made to this quality.

I'm pretty sure that other reviewers have mentioned that although the pans are lighter than cast iron, they are heavier than typical non-stick or stainless steel pans, and thus they might be hard to handle for some people (e.g., those with arthritic hands). However, I think most people should be okay.

Although I have not used a de Buyer carbon steel pan, from reading various cooking forums it seems that about the only difference between the de Buyer and Paderno pans is the price.Save yourself some money; the Paderno World Cuisine pans are fine.

PS..There's still a place in your kitchen for Cast Iron pans: skillets for cornbread, dutch ovens for bread and braising (a ceramic coated dutch oven will allow you to use acidic sauces), fryers for, well, frying!

First of all, you should try handling this in real life before buying this.

Although it looks very similar to the DeBuyers carbon steel frying pans, the handle on the World Cuisine is much sharper along the edge and so becomes much more uncomfortable to use. T I tried holding it for a few seconds and immediately realized it was much more uncomfortable than my DeBuyers. Thankfully, I didn't season it, so I returned it back to Amazon. I have the DeBuyer's Mineral B pan of equivalent size, and I highly recommend it. It works well, and the handle is more comfortable.

If you're sure you want a carbon steel frying pan and want this particular one, let me reassure you that carbon steel is an excellent medium. It is very easy to season. And it's very easy to reason if you manage to ruin the seasoning. For example, if you ruin cast iron seasoning, it can take months of frequent use to build up a good season. However, it only takes one week of use to build up a good season on carbon steel. Plus, the smooth finish makes it very easy to slide an egg around.

For seasoning, I recommend using a high smoking point oil. Put the pan on your stove top at the highest setting and coat it with a light layer of oil. Let it sit for 5 minutes until it smokes. Let it cool. Repeat this 3 times. That's all. Simple.

I highly recommend this for cooking eggs. Fried eggs come out perfect! (as long as you don't break the yolk). It's a little difficult to flip crepes or pancakes because of the sloped sides, but it's not impossible. Get a griddle or crepe pan if it's too hard.

Overall, carbon steel is excellent. However, I recommend the DeBuyers instead because the handle is more comfortable.

After properly seasoning my carbon steel skillet, it cooked like no other.My other coated non sticks are now history.I love that the non stick properties are from the seasoning and not some teflon coating.After seasoning it, I made hash browns, sausage, and eggs in that order and everything cooked perfectly with no sticking whatsoever. I thought I would have trouble with the eggs since I cooked the pan sausage first but everything slid around the pan with ease and the taste was great too. I'm buying a bigger one now, the 10.25 inch is nice and will see regular use, but sometimes you may need a larger cooking surface if friends and family are visiting.I'm 100% satisfied and kind of kicking myself for not getting one sooner.

On my last try tightening it, the glass exploded into safety glass bits, leaving shrapnel wounds on my hand. I called the "secret" Amazon customer service number, and was given a refund without having to return the lid (I offered pictures of my sink and my hand). All in the first half hour since the box arrived. I'm still bleeding, but I have no desire to spend the evening at an emergency room.

The pan looks great (I have to clean glass from my kitchen before I can try it), but I don't want a replacement lid; I could have been blinded.

I bought this as a replacement top. When received it was assembled. After unpacking I did try to tighten the handle which seemed loose but then backed off before setting it down because of suspicion that maybe it was supposed to be that way. In the morning I found that it was totally shattered into a number of pieces. It was fine when set down and was not exposed to any temperature extremes or external stresses afterward. I consider the product design defective and possibly dangerous. Amazon was very quick to give us a refund. I cannot fault them. However, I do feel obligated to inform other potential purchasers since I see that another customer also had a shattering experience.

The lid itself is great ~ we had to go to the dealer in order to get a knob for it though.

We would never order a product from Total Concepts again. Upon speaking to Total Concepts, they were utterly of NO HELP in helping us get the knob ..... which should have come with the original purchase.

I ordered this cover for use with my 12 1/2 inch fry pan which was sold without a cover.The cover fits well, looks great and was delivered quickly however it did not have a knob included with it.Apparently the entire shipment was sent from the factory without knobs but the only solution offered me was to return the cover for my money back.As I had already paid to have it shipped to me, I was not prepared to pay to ship it back as well, and still have no lid, therefore I have kept it and managed to find a knob to fit.It would have been helpful, however, to know there was no knob included with the cover before I purchased this item.
