Berghoff Virgo Non-Stick Fry Pan

Berghoff Virgo 8-Inch Non-Stick Fry PanI always state that before you rate an item let me know what other similar item you are comparing it to. In this case I compared this with my Paderno World Cuisine Ceramic coated pan that has a carbon steel core. Yes the steel on the Paderno makes it a bit heavier but I actually prefer that. In terms of versatility I give the Berghoff Virgo the nod. Its lighter. Has double sided pour spouts a removable twist off handle so it can be placed directly into the oven and a magnetic induction bottom and for slightly cheaper price. I cook on gas range only and I never put my pan into the oven so the versatility does not matter much but I think the pour edges are a nice touch and the bright red color is nice. But here's the kickier the Berghoff will be used from time to time. My Paderno sits on my stovetop 24-7. I actually prefer the stainless steel core to aluminum core. I don't believe the hype that the ceramic surface will last as long as the pan itself but do believe its non toxic. If the surface wears down over time what metal core would you prefer, aluminum or carbon steel. Hands down carbon steel. I have not had either pan long enough to see how they wear over extended periods. I'll edit this if I notice something of concern.

Update: The pan started off with a bang. Now i'm plagued with the handle constantly twisting off and the ceramic coating in spots has gummed up. As most ceramic or non stick pans we either get poor quality or toxic. Go get the cheaper ceramic non-stick pans if it goes bad it won't matter. At this price it does matter and they should have done a way better job.

got my shipment fast and in good condition. this pan is amazing in so many ways! no stick with out all the bad chemicals and just the easiest pan i have ever cooked on

worth every single penny planning on getting the whole collection.

I can burn water so my experience with so called non-stick cookware is usually a disaster. The coating on this heavy cast aluminum pan is truly non-stick.

I have a pan of theirs similar to this one.

Poor product Poor customer service Would not buy again for half the price

Warning: First time reviewer here, but I use the reviews of products exclusively on whether or not to purchase products on amazon.com. I do not want any other users to go through the same poor customer service I did only to gain nothing.

I have purchased a set of Berghoff Scala Ceramic coated frying pans. I used the main 12" pan for about a month. As time progresses the pan started to stick. I contacted the customer service dept. that told me to deep clean the pan with baking soda and water. After it was dry add oil to the pan while slowly reheating it.I did this several times to cure my pan as suggested by the customer service rep. He assured me that it would take some time for this to work. This took place over 4 months after purchasing the set.I then got preoccupied when moving into my renovated kitchen. After dealing with my renovation I found the pan again. It was now 12 months since purchase.I had a new representative that made it sound like the guy I was speaking to previously did a poor job and was let go, which he was very rude. She stated they needed to find my files and reopen the review of my pan.She advised me to send the pan in so the warranty dept. could look at the pan. I had to pay shipping both ways but I figured they would at least get my pan back into good condition.Berghoff never called or emailed that they had my pan even though I sent a letter with the pan. After waiting a month I decided to email and see if they received the pan. The last customer service rep I had was now gone and I had a new one again. She had to find the pan again and pull up the files. After a reply from the newest customer service rep she stated that my pan was not covered under warranty.WHAT?

She explained that due to the color of the bottom of the pan I had overheated the pan and that the warranty was now void. I the dirt she cleaned on the bottom of my pan was on all our pans we had. We have a glass top range that we cool all our meals on. It does get dirty at times. I simply took a nylon scrubber to clean one of the other pans I had just to see how hard it was.I emailed back stating that her suggestion was not the case and that I wanted to speak to a supervisor.Three weeks later still no response.I called and was directed to the same person I was dealing with my emails. She said she brought the pan to her supervisor and stated that she agreed while refusing to allow me to speak to her supervisor.

The facts: Not once did I ever cook with the pan over ½ heat on my range top. I primarily cooked eggs, sausage, warmed up veggies, and cooked some fish. Mind you that I only used the pan 1 month.I hand washed it after every use. At first everything would slide out of the pan. The pan got to the point where I had to scrape it each time after use and then let it sit in soap water. THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN AFTER 1 MONTH OF USE!

Due to the numerous customer service representatives, poor service, and average pans I would never recommend anyone buy from this company. They did offer me a deal though, 50% off their retail of a new pan. That was almost the same price I could buy it off of amazon.com.

Buyer Beware Stay Away Learn from my mistakes.

My spouse wanted a good frying pan and we saw a demonstration of this one in the mall. Unfortunately, this product fell short of our expectations. I returned this product to amazon and they faithfully replaced it. The second pan yeiled the same results. All of the oil or sauce slid to the edge of the pan and left the center without oil or sauce. Consequently, what ever remained in the center stuck to the pan and produced undesirable results. Eggs would've stick to the pan. I took pictures and sent it to the manufacture and got no results. This is why I am writing this poor review. I definitely would not recommend it to no one.

Norpro 2063 Nonstick Splatter Guard

Norpro 2063 Nonstick Splatter GuardI was ready to design this type of splatter screen when I found it at Amazon. It is the only place to get one. This is better the screens designed to fit on top of a skillet. With that type, food still splatters when it is lifted up to check on the food or turn it.The Norpor keeps the rest of the cooktop clean.I used it around my counter top grill to keep the splatters off the counter and wall.

I ordered these for gifts, because I have a different brand I purchased many years ago and everyone that sees it wants one. When I opened it I almost cut myself on the edges. The one I have was nothing like these. They are sharp and can not be put in dishwasher. Very disappointed, cheaply made and not safe.

I was hesitant to buy this item and am glad I took the gamble.I expected something flimsy and that would easily rust.I have used this

item again and again and have thrown it in the dishwasher and it has not rusted nor lost its coating. It is a great little tool to keep your stove clean.Especially if you do a lot of frying.

This product is shoddy and the edges of the metal screens are so thin and sharp they can cut you especially in a kitchen enviornment with wet hands, etc. I gave it one star because we don't have a zero star option. I returned for a refund.

This is my first ever video review of a product on Amazon. I was inspired to do a video review because this product is so appallingly awful. I'm stunned by the positive reviews they're either reviewing some other product, or their shills, or, well, I don't really know what would cause someone to give this product a positive review. Hopefully this video demonstrating how flimsy and downright tiny this so-called splatter guard is will save others the trouble and cost of buying one.

Revere 3514027 2-Quart Covered Saucepan

Revere 3514027 2-Quart Covered SaucepanI fondly remember growing up with Revere cookware during the '50s and '60s.It was sturdy and manufactured with care to precise measurements.Unfortunately, this is NOT the same product.Apparently, Revere cookware is now being manufactured in some third-world dumpster. The overall construction is flimsy; it bends and dents easily.None of the lids fit properly. The unreasonably thin "copper-cladding" was unevenly applied and looks like a roller-coaster ride around the sides of the saucepans.Revere needs to clean-up its act, or go out-of-business.

I ordered 2 of these 2-quart saucepans because I had owned them and liked them in the past.I only threw them out after letting them boil dry and turn into molten lava. The pans that I bought in September 2005 were manufactured in China and did not measure up to the past quality of those made in the USA and Korea. The interiors are oddly rough and the knob on the top of one of the covers has a sharp edge. These pans are worth the $15.33 I paid for each of them and not a penny more.

I was happy to find this item for sale, but it is of such poor quality that I am returning it.The bottom is so thin that the stamp shows through to the inside, and it is also raised to the touch. You can pop the bottom in and out with very little pressure. It looks much like the one I bought in the 1990s, but the quality is very inferior.I feel that the claim of "even heat distribution" is false. Disappointing for Corning.

All the good reviews seem to be from 2005 and earlier.

I was so relieved to find my beloved Revere pans online....until I got them in the mail. I have owned Revere pans for 32 years and my youngest pans are 12 years old. I wanted to replace some of the oldest ones, but after seeing the poor quality of these new Revere pans, I am sending them back. When I compared them to the pans in my kitchen, the new ones were lighter weight, thinner handles, and flimsy connections from the handle to the pan. So disappointing. These are a bad buy.

This pan gets the most use of any in my kitchen. It's got a good depth so that when whisking sauces and gravies they don't spatter over the edge and mess up the cooking surface.I especially like that there are inserts made to fit this pot, including the steamer which is less of a hassle than the old expandable baskets. The lid fits nicely even after ten years. This pan requires a little extra effort to keep looking nice, but a swipe with some copper/stainless steel cleaner keeps it looking pretty much like new. Some sauces with a high milk content tend to burn slightly at the bottom. This is a good basic saucepan.

Starfrit 12 Inch Stainless Steel Lid

Starfrit 12 Inch Stainless Steel LidIn the past, I have ordered a 12-inch cast iron skillet on Amazon.com. The skillet was a great buy, but the only lid I had on hand was a heavy glass lid that came with some big pots I use. The glass lid is heavy and when I use it with the skillet and want to take the lid off the skillet to stir something, it wants to burn my fingers and I have to find somewhere to set it down. It drips condensed water over everything and stays hot for a while. I saw this stainless steel lid on Amazon and it looked like it would fit the skillet. It was also priced right, so I gave it a try.

This lid is perfect for my skillet. It is light and easy to handle. It fits the skillet perfectly and cools off fast. When taking it off the skillet to stir something cooking, it is easy to invert and set on the counter. I love it and store it with my skillet. I would buy this lid again.

I needed a lid that was light weight to use with my cast iron skillet, but sturdy enough to hold up to the high heat of the cast iron and to hold in the heat when frying my chicken.Perfect fit!

Overall, this is a good product for the price. It's lightweight and well built, and fits well on my 11 inch saute pan.

Hovewer, the handle is not made of heat resistant material, so it gets pretty hot after a while.

Clipper Natural Aluminum No Grip Fry Pan

Clipper 215-00004 12-Inch Natural Aluminum No Grip Fry PanI tried several different seasoning techniques...nothing works.Everything sticks to this pan...destroys anything I try to cook, even with oil applied!

Okay, first of all, one of the biggest myths is that you need to have very expensive kitchen accessories. You don't.Prior to the modern marketing era, how did our parents and grandparents cook? How do people cook and eat in poor countries, or places where they don't have designer label cookware in overpriced "foodie" gourmet shops?

If you go to any high -end restaurant, and look in their kitchen, you will not find an All-Clad Copper Core 14-Piece Set, or anything else that cost more than your monthly rent.Actually, you won't find anything that will even cost a car payment. If you ask any professional cook what they use day-to-day on the line at the saute station, they'll tell you it's simply commercial cookware.Nothing fancy. What is commercial?Usually something cheap.Like this cheap pan.

At my house, we use cast iron. Not some overpriced designer brand like a Le Creuset Cookware Set , 20 Piece.Just the simple hardware store and sporting goods store items hat I have accumulated over the years. That's right. We cook our meals with camping gear.Remember, if it taste good when you're camping, it will taste good at home.Nothing makes pancakes, eggs, and bacon better than a cast iron pan.And when you have well seasoned cast iron, nothing sticks to it.

But despite all the benefits of cast iron, that's not what we're here for.We are here to talk about this pan.

Now what is the big deal with this pan?Why do I own, not just one, but two of these?

My current bed-wench was complaining about the cast iron.It is heavy.I agree.I can see how a wench, given a choice, would not want to heft a cast iron pan.She still has a hard time with not using soap when cleaning my cast iron, and she still hasn't gotten used to continually heating and oiling the cast iron pans to keep them from rusting.

This pan is made with aluminum. That makes it light in weight, and it resist corrosion. My wench can wash it in hot soapy water, and doesn't have to heat and oil it after washing. This pan is light enough for my wench to flick her wrist and flip the food in the pan.Get two.You can flip one over the other, and use the second pan as a lid.10' is a good size for cooking a plate of food.Need to make two plates? That's what the second pan is for.Aluminum tends to take heat, spread it out, and dissipate it.This is why heat sinks are made of aluminum. How is this good?Heat rises. The pan takes the heat from your burner, spreads it through the pan (evenly), then releases it (upward) into the food in your pan.The surface is very easy to clean, which allows you to wipe and wash, then move on to cooking your next dish before the pan cools off.And since aluminum is light in weight, you have a decreased risk of injury if you're cooking on the line and flipping food all day.

Cuisinart MultiClad Pro Stainless Open Skillet

Cuisinart MCP22-30H MultiClad Pro Stainless 12-Inch Skillet with HelperFor years, I've been afraid of stainless fry pans. My experience with them was limited to the time when I was young and not as experienced of a cook. I did not really know how to avoid sticking or how to clean them, and the stainless pans I had 19 years ago I gave away out of frustration.

Let me say, wow! I have really been missing out by cooking on nonstick pans all this time. You just cannot get the kind of sear on a nonstick pan as you can with this.

As for clean up? I use barkeeper's friend and it is high-gloss shiny each time!

You really cannot beat the price on these. They are solid, heavy-weight, have good heat distribution, and they clean up beautifully. What more are you looking for? Don't pay hundreds on all-clad, when you can get these high quality pans for soo much less.

I wanted to add for those that have trouble with sticking: the trick is to let it heat up first, then add the oil, then your food. Hot pan. Cool oil. Food. You'll do much better and avoid sticking a lot better!

First let me tell you I have no affiliation with All Clad what so ever I am a retired caterer. This is the first piece of Cuisinart cookware I have purchased.

Right out of the box this has the heft and looks of All Clad it is a beautiful pan.Howevever, as I do with all the cookware I purchase I put it on a level surface and see if it wobbles.Unfortunately this one does to a small degree. This means that unless you are cooking on a gas stove you will get uneven heat.

The way Amazon is bouncing around it's pricing I got this one a few days ago at a real good price with Amazon prime.I will keep this pan for that reason and to remind me you get what you pay for.

Before all the reviewers who believe there should never be a negative review written abouta product they adoreplease remember this may not be an issue to you but it could be a big issue to someone else.

If the price of this cookware brings the masses back to stainless steel cooking I am all for it.Getting away from teflon is the best step you can make in not only improving your health but also your cooking skills.

I bought this skillet to sear salmon, before puttting it into a 425-degree oven.I am not sure if it is a good thing to put non-stick into a hot oven, so I bought this pan.It worked like a charm. It sears perfectly, and after the oven for 7 minutes, it was a mess. but it cleaned up shiny as new following the directions to fill with water, and clean with Bon Ami or a similar product. It was a brown mess but now looks like new.The important thing is to read the instructions that come with the pan.I think I'll order the other sizes since this one worked so well. I think it works as well as the All Clad pans I have but at a fraction of the price.

After reading about the possible health risks associated with Teflon, we carefully went shopping for stainless steel. While I agree that a lid would have been lovely, I must say this is a great pan even heat disbursement with a good sturdy feel to it.We have used it for everything grilled sandwiches, breakfast meats, searing, sauteing and just last night made a huge batch of homemade chili. Clean up is a snap! We love this pan! Just purchased one for my daughter.

I needed some new pans to add some capacity to my kitchen. We can't have Teflon due to the risk to our birds, and I dearly miss it.I have not had good luck with Stainless in the past, but aside from cast-iron which is not always practical, I had no choice.

When I was looking for a new pan, I found that there are two basic types to choose from: The ones with the thick conductive disk on the bottom, and the ones like this pan, that have a much thinner conductive layer, but that goes all the way up the sides (referred to as 'clad' as in multiclad).I already have the type with the thick disk, and because I cook with gas the sides are always way hotter than the bottom, as the flame licks up the sides and heats the relatively thin sides much quicker/hotter causing burning issues. Some will say that the thick bottom traps heat better and is good for searing steaks...But that's what my my grill is for, I wanted a pan as a daily driver so a clad stainless pan was my choice.

As for this specific pan, one question mark I've seen raised here is the handle is too small for some...And I actually happen to have the 12" Cuisinart (thick disk bottom style tho) with the same handle and have this to say:A totally crap handle to use on the 12" size, but completely fine for the 10" and 8".**SPOILER ALERT**Yes, I liked the 10" version of this pan so much, I bought the 8", and pretty much all my comments stand for both (but not the 12").

One thing I learned from all my research is that heat control is critical for this pan (or any other stainless pan for that matter). This is one area that my thick bottom pan utterly failed at, because I would inevitably use too much flame to get it to heat up, and when (not if) it got too hot, turning off the flame did absolutely nothing for a looong time as that thick disk tried in vain to dissipate heat. This is one area that I can say this pan absolutely shines in!It is quick to heat, responds well to flame adjustments, and if I over do it I can pull it off the heat a little (or a lot) with predictable results.

As far as sticking issues, when I get it right I don't miss Teflon one bit.Scrambled eggs, fish filets, scallops...If I heat the pan right, and use enough of the proper fat, cooking on this pan is pure bliss! When I get it wrong, well...It sticks.I am personally taking this as a challenge to become a better cook though, instead of considering it as a negative for this pan, so no points off for that.

If you want hassle-free cooking, I think Teflon may be a better choice if you're willing to live with the (potential) health consequences. If you're willing to put in some effort though, these pans are an excellent choice, and the price is not that bad compared to other high end equipment like all-clad.

Farberware Restaurant Pro Aluminum Nonstick 8-Inch Commercial Skillet

Farberware Restaurant Pro Aluminum Nonstick 8-Inch Commercial SkilletThis is "the best" non-stick pan EVER!!! It really does not stick. On all "non-stick" I do use some kind of spray as most pans for me still are hard to clean despite using non-stick AND a spray...not this one! You don't need much and your eggs will thank you!

Now I've used the so-called "high end" stuff. I even own expensive pans. But none can even begin to compare to this one. I recently gave away my Calap... one because the non-stick was the worst surface ever!!! There is almost a "grip" to the surface. It is rougher than this Farberware one. This one is very smooth. It even out performs other Farberware pans! If I were you, I'd buy this one in every size you think you could use. They are getting harder and harder to find!

I would suggest a few things to keep the nice non-stick thing going well:

1. HAND WASH only!! use a washcloth... really that is all you will need. (um, yeah soap too but that should go w/o saying) Don't put it in the dishwasher... even when stuff states "dishwasher safe" there is something about the chemicals that turns the good cookware into dollar store garbage in a matter of just a couple of cycles...sometimes just one!

2. To keep the back nice and shiny, I do use the steel wool pads... but ONLY for the silver/aluminum part. Don't let it touch the non-stick part.

(this pan hangs on my pan wall, so I like to keep all my pans nice and shiny)

3. Use cooking spray or a very small amout of oil/butter/etc. I know. I know. It's "non-stick". Right. I've seen the infomercials on non-stick. They all work the first few times and then all of a sudden they stop. I use very very little on this pan...Really I do. But I believe it has made it last that much longer.

3. When you are done cooking, DON'T put the very hot pan right in water. I set mine on a burner that was not used and I let it cool. There is something about warping and putting hot pans in water... wives tale? I'm not testing the waters. :) If you used your spray/oil/etc, it really will clean for you. You can, however, take a spatula/scraper (plastic/slicone) and clear out the debris first. It really does clean nicely!

This has become a hard to find item. I am so happy with this pan that I am going to purchase extras to store for my kids use some day.

Works great; I mostly only use it for eggs (prefer stainless coated aluminum for everything else), and it's vastly better than the cheap nonstick skillet I had before, easy to make great omelettes.

This skillet is fantastic. It is very well balanced and the bottom sits flat against the burner, thereby providing uniform heating.Scrambled eggs, pancakes, french toast.....all cook great in this pan.No sticking and very easy clean-up.Highly recommended. Now I plan to order the next larger size too.

All-Clad Stainless 14-Inch Nonstick Fry Pan

All-Clad Stainless 14-Inch Nonstick Fry Panthat said, the All-Clad Stainless 14-Inch Nonstick Fry Pan has clearly failed. the non-stick surface began to deteriorate long before any other non-stick pan we've owned has in the past.

we received this pan as part of 10-peice set, and really, it's the only complaint we have about the set in general. the rest of the All-Clad pieces have performed beautifully and withstood all of the rigors of being cookware in a house with two accomplished and passionate chefs.

about a year ago we gave up on this pan and purchased the 'Restaurant Fry Pan Set' from Nordic Ware (8" and 10") and they have performed much better than the All-Clad version of the same and held there non-stick surface now four times as long -at a fraction of the cost! unfortunately this set is not currently available on amazon.

Note: I should point out, in response to the "weekend" chef who gave this pan five stars, that both my wife and I are well versed in the care of non-stick pans (plastic and wooden utensils only, let them cool before you wash them, etc.) and the surface still deteriorated. I'm sticking to my guns, (no pun intended) these two other non-stick fry pans have now lasted over four years without a hitch. the All-Clad lasted only six-months with the same love and care.

I must agree with the negative reviewers that this pan's nonstick coating began coming off almost immediately after I began using it.I'm not talking about scratches, which often are a result of using the wrong kind of implements for cooking and cleaning. My pan began pock all over, even up the sides where I rarely touch them.I hung on to this pan for 3 years, simply because I could not bear to part with it for the expense. But eventually I had to treat it like my other All-Clad pans (which I LOVE) and use full amounts of oil to cook.It was no longer worth using.

Although the reviewer who loves this pan was "certain" the rest of us who have not liked this pan were not caring for the pan properly, that "certainty" is based on nothing but speculation.I cared for my pan precisely according to the directions provided by All-Clad.Of course, I could have asked All-Clad to replace it early on, since it was clear the nonstick coating was coming off on its own accord. But that would not have changed the fact that the coating on my pan was coming off.

Buy All-Clad Stainless 14-Inch Nonstick Fry Pan Now

When I went to acquire a non-stick pan, I was dubious of all of them.Teflon is a great substance (thanks Du Pont!) but it scratches way too easy for anything in the kitchen.I had burned through several non-stick pans that were well cheapo no name pans.

I picked up quite a few All-Clads at once 6 or 7 years ago.It was time to trash all the hand-me-down pans from the parents and ex-roommates over the years.

I have no idea what this "professional-grade" bonded material is but it has been nothing but perfect for us as a family. While I actively avoid scraping it with metal utensils, it does get stacked with other metal pans inside it in a drawer and in the sink.It still does not have a single scratch or blemish and we use it more than any other fry pan.The only pan that sees more use is a small Silit pan I bought in Germany 9 years ago.We actually plan on buying an 8" and probably a 12" soon.

You can cook just about anything without burning it within reason.Naturally oil will still smoke, but when this is on low flame I can walk out of the kitchen if I need to.So the core of the pan distributing the heat well and the non-stick surface seems to drastically reduce burning.Making an omelette for two in this pan is crazy easy. You can just stir up your eggs and goodies, let it set to solid on low, and simply use a plastic/silicon spatula to flip it over in half.Presto, you are done.In the regular stainless All-Clad fry pans we have, we would have to constantly scrap the omelette off the bottom to prevent burning and that just does not work well with an omelette heh.

From hamburger helper to saffron rosotto we have nothing to say but good things about this pan.I am actually quite surprised that it is a material bonded to steel and not anodized aluminum on the inside since it seems so impervious.

Back when I got ours, it was definitely made in Pennsylvania.Perhaps some other later batches were offshored and not quite up to snuff?Other than that I could only guess that folks with problem pans are perhaps cooking things in it that we are not.Since I have no idea what this coating is, I could not even begin to guess what might affect it.Other than not cooking meat that often, we cook just about everything in the pan.

I purchased the complete All-Clad set over 5 years ago and the 14-inch fry pan will need to be tossed. The teflon is fraying and coming off at the top of the pan, but not in the center. The smaller saute pan is fine as well as the other pieces, so I'm keeping those. I don't know if it's some sort of defect in the larger fry pan, but I'm disappointed. What would I do differently? Probably buy each All-Clad piece separately and get another larger fry pan from another brand.

I purchased this fry pan in June of this year and it is almost to a state where it is ready to be thrown away as of December 1st.I would have expected the nonstick surface to be of superior quality and durability from All-Clad, but the sad truth is that I have had cheap grocery store pans that have maintained the coating far longer, and a small fraction of the cost. After just a few weeks the surface became scratched on this pan and the coating started to come off in the food ick!I love the uncoated All-Clad, but I will be looking elsewhere for nonstick in the future.

Telebrands Orgreenic Frying Pan, 10 "

Telebrands Orgreenic Frying Pan, 10 'I gave it a one star because I couldn't go lower. Food sticks to it worse than a stainless steel pan. The company said for me to re season the pan. I did both pans exactly as they said. The food stuck. Redid them twice more.Food still stuck. If you cook eggs, you will have to submerge them in water for about 30 minutes to wash the stuck on eggs out. They must have used silicon spray on these pans to make the commercial. I tried using oil, butter, and pam with the same poor results. The pots have 100% satisfaction guarantee except it will cost you 30$ to mail back the 40$ pans. Seems like a scam to me. Do not buy these pans.

This product was non-stick for the first few uses, then gradually got worse.I would say a non-seasoned cast iron skillet would work better.Save your $$.

I don't know how the pan really works, but I had a negative experience with the company itself so my review is regarding this.

I went to their website and put this pan in my cart.It had me enter my credit card information, and then I clicked next, expecting it to go to a page where I could confirm my order. It went to offer after offer, trying to make me upgrade to more pans. Finally, I got sick of it and exited the page.

A few minutes later I got a confirmation saying that I had purchased not only the pan, but a "free" gift which I had to pay about $7 shipping for.I did not want that, and it never gave me the option to reject the gift so I called the company immediately and told the woman I wanted to cancel my order. She tried to get me to but the pan without the "free" gift, but I said no, so she told me she would put a note in to cancel it.

About a week later, the pan arrived in the mail, and I noticed that my card had been charged for the pan and "free" gift.I called the company to say that I had cancelled my order, and that this should have never been sent.I told them I did not want to pay the shipping to send it back because I, first of all, did not confirm to order it, and secondly, cancelled it immediately when I saw that it had gone through.

She told me that the computer says I cancelled it on April 5th, after it had been sent. This is not true, because I called 5 minutes after I received the receipt in my email on March 30th.She said sorry, there was nothing she could do, if I wanted I could send it back and get refunded for the price of the item but not the shipping.

I ended up filing a claim with my bank and giving the box back to the post office as a "Return to Sender," so that I wouldn't have to pay shipping. They ended up refunding the entire charge (which is why they get 2 stars instead of 1) but if I had not been so determined to not let them make me pay shipping, I could have easily paid $20 worth of shipping charges for something I didn't even commit to ordering.

P.S. I hate writing bad reviews.I only wrote this so that other people don't get scammed like I almost did.

I was sucked in by the infomercial. It took months to deliver the trial pan.I carefully seasoned it as per instructions.within 1 week of use 1/3 of the surface turned black.no amount of scrubbing with a sponge can remove it.the handle became loose within 1 week as well. after 1 month of use scratches appeared in the coating. I used only plastic and wood utensils. This product is basically crap. stay away!!!!!!

Brought it because it was guarantee non-stick. It worked at first, but after a week, the food started sticking and now there is a black residue covering half the pan, which I have tried scrubbing off but doesn't work. Do not buy this pan!! It's been 2 weeks now and the food sticks to the pan and the black residue makes the pan sticky.

Heuck 33027 Porcelain Enamel Cast Iron 10.5 Inch Chicken Fryer, Red

Heuck 33027 Porcelain Enamel Cast Iron 10.5 Inch Chicken Fryer, RedI read the first review and thought the complaint was with the shipping. So I purchased the Heuck to get away frome teflon. It arrived in 3 boxes within one The original manufacture box, inside another box then a box for that one. Ours arrived in great condition. BTW the red colour is a pleasent red not and orange red. I tested it for lead content with a home kit and it passed with flying colours. This has become our favorite pan, we are glad we ordered the one with the lid.

I recieved this as an anniversary present(I like getting things i can use as gifts)although the finish isn't perfect i think the pan is wonderful, i like the way it cooks and looks.sadly my pan got a bubble in the enamel :( I was bummed.the pan has a 20 yr. warranty but did this mean i would have to pay to get this heavy thing shipped back? I called customer service they were very friendly and helpful. They are shipping me a new pan and i don't have to ship the old one back!thank you heuck! I am very pleased!

Product is made of cast iron skillet. When it arrived, the handle of the pan had broken off.It was packaged extremely poorly (from the manufacturer, not the shipping packaging). The cardboard box it was packaged in did not support the weight of the skillet. The skillet itself, was also much lighter than a cast iron skillet of that size should have been, which also makes me wonder about the quality of the product.

In short, this should be an extremely sturdy product cast iron lasts a long, long time. This product, however, couldn't last from manufacturing through shipping.

I also bought a 12" cast iron enamel skillet to get away from teflon. I enjoyed the skillet for 2 months before the enamel flaked off! About the size of a quarter. I went against my best judgement and bought this product even though i knew it was made in China. I'm not bashing the Chinese but it seems that the idea of profits out weighs the quality of the product. I don't plan on returning this for an exchange. I put it in the recycling bin where it belongs. I will not purchase anymore of these products or any others manufactured in China.

Yes, it looks like it, yes it's cast iron, But no it's not Le Creuset. I wanted my

daughter to put LeCreuset on her bridal registry, she did. Well some thoughtful person thought buying a cheaper version would be acceptable. Guess what.........it's full of pits and breaks in the enamel. She'sused it for pasta sauce and chili. She's not even married a year it's garbage, don't fall for the price, there's a reason it's so much cheaper than Le Creuset. Can you say QUALITY, and you get what you pay for!!!

Lodge Logic L5MIC3 Miniature Lid

Lodge Logic L5MIC3 Miniature LidI totally agree, if you get the 5 inch skillet, get this lid.I found it also fits on the 14 oz melting pot.It does NOT fit the Sante Cabin cobbler pots (which are advertised as 5 inches, but apparently are about 6 inches).

Great little lid.I use cast iron in my RV and I wanted a little lid for my small pan.Fits well and is Lodge quality. It arrived on time with no problems.Love my cast iron.

I really like Lodge Logic Cast Iron so Nicely Made in The USA so Polish and Smooth, none of the Grittiness and feel of Sandpaper found in other Brands. Lodge Cookware is so Excellent Seasoned just Ready to Cook, it is the only Brand I use for Cooking Purposes. I ordered the 5 Inch Skillet and had to have the Lid to go with it.

I have to Agree with one Reviewer about the Lid not having a Hole in the Handle, I wish it did so I can Hang it in the Kitchen next to the 5 Inch Skillet among others, otherwise I have to throw it in a Drawer, however, I love all the Pieces from Lodge Logic Cookware, I have been Cooking in them for years they are very well Seasoned, it is American Made so it is Safe for me to Cook with them, that is why I Support and Welcome all their Beautiful Cast Iron Skillets, Pots Lids and everything they Make! ...Thank You

Love this with my little skillet. It fits just right and is the perfect cover to get things to cook evenly. Do use a hot mit with it, however.

Nordic Ware Professional Weight Searing Grill Pan

Nordic Ware Professional Weight Searing Grill PanI love the taste of grilled food. I just don't always have the time to warm up the grill and get it all going.

So, I bought this pan. I have purchased grill pans in the past and have been disappointed over and over again. So, I figured I would buy this one, try it and when it didn't deliver results, I would give it to the college kid next door who eats Ramen noodles and the only pan he has is a bed pan..

BUT I AM KEEPING IT!! It's great. It makes the most beautiful chicken. Keeps it juicy w/beautiful lines. It's amazing. It makes amazing grilled salmon. Great price and it delivers!

GET IT RIGHT NOW! :)

I've been using a cast iron grill pan for years until it started to rust, I got tired of wrestling with it and scrubbing it. I really like the performance of this pan. Lighter, and much easier cleanup. Only one very large problem. The handle won't stay tight where it meets the pan. Not an up/down issue but side to side. I screwed the nut down with all of my strength and it still is a bit loose. Also the sides could be a little higher to cut down splatter. If not for those two defects in manufacturing and design, I certainly give it a 5 star rating.

Bought this item because of the low price and did not know what to expect. Was surprised at the weight and quality of the grill pan.I bought it rather than buy a Panini maker and it does that job perfectly.I recommend this product.

I purchased this pan after trying a cast iron double grill pan that did not perform to my expectations (it never distributed the heat evenly.)

This pan was inexpensive and works very well.I find it to distribute the heat fairly well over one burner, although not perfectly. It cleans very easily, and is great...especially for the price.

I ordered this item because it was made in the United States, not in China but had to return it.Not sure if it was damaged in shipping or just at the store but the handle was loose and I couldn't tighten it and there was a small scratch on the protective covering. As it turned out, it wasn't as large as I thought it would be.I was glad to see that it was made in the US

As Seen on TV Non-Stick New Orgreenic 12" Frying Pan

As Seen on TV Non-Stick New Orgreenic 12' Frying PanThis 12" Frying Pan does not fit properly with a 12" Lid, because of the shape of the frying pan. The top of the frying pan

needs be be a little wider to fit any 12" cover.

Not what I expected nor did it perform as I thought from advertisements but is comparable to others in it's class.I followed directions precisely prior to use and still it did not perform as I thought.Food did stick a little and clean up was not as easily as advertised.Still had to use a minor bit of oil and it still tends to brown/burn too quickly even at very low heat.

Might be early to submit a review of a product but, for far it works great. Our son had bought one of these a few months ago and didn't bother to pre-cure it per instructions: a mistake! We followed the instructions before use and, as the headline says, "so far, so good."

Mauviel M'Heritage M150B 6535.25 10.4-Inch Crepe Frying Pan with Bronze Handle

Mauviel M'Heritage M150B 6535.25 10.4-Inch Crepe Frying Pan with Bronze HandleI have tried at a total of 6 different crepe pans and this one by Mauviel has topped them all. I was apprehensive because of the cost and because I couldn't believe that the Stainless surface would be better than the other pans I have tried (mostly non-stick including Calphalon).

For my first experience with the pan, I used the recipe for crepes that came in the box. The first (and all of the other crepes) came out beautifully and tasted heavenly. They were very light and turned the perfect color. And... it seemed to do better at the higher heat I was using than the non-stick pans I used prior to it.

I'm glad I didn't say anything about my new pan and the new recipe I used because I got an un-biased reaction to the consumption... they loved them!

Bravo! This one pan makes me want to try the other Mauviel (expensive) products.

I do want to mention that the handle did get hot. I could pick up the pan but if you have sensitive hands... you may want to use a pad or handle cover. And... clean up was easy but because I used a gas stove, the bottom of the pan quickly discolors (not to the point of ugly... just not completely the color it was when I took it out of the box). I'm sure that would go away if I bought the copper cleaner which I do intend on doing.

All in all... this pan made fabulous crepes!!!! I don't think you can go wrong and I'm glad I made the investment. I don't think I'll ever need to buy another pan.

If you have ever used an allclad cookware, this will be a disappointment. Heat capacity is just not as good. With all clad, I heat the pan at medium heat and then reduce the heat to low. This pan will cool down when you reduce the heat...means you have to cook at high heat...means prone to burning, etc. I am going to return mine...and use a 10" all clad fry pan instead.
