T-fal Signature Hard Anodized Fry Pans

T-fal D9130764 Signature Hard Anodized Oven Safe Nonstick Thermo-Spot Heat Indicator 12-Inch Fry Pan, GrayI love this pan. My only issue is that the pan is not deep enough to cook a meal for a big family. My fault though because I didn't realize a saute pan had short sides.I have always had good success with T-Fal pans especially considering the price when compared to others such as scanpan. So far it is completley non-stick and easy to clean.I will continue to buy T-Fal pans until a better product comparably priced is introduced.

I'm a connoisseur of cookware by no means, but expected

an 8" skillet to be bigger than this.

I got out my machinist measuring scale and come up with

the following measurements; largest diameter at top of rim= 7.55",

flat area at inside of bottom= approximately 5.5".

This is about big enough for a couple eggs or maybe a sandwich.

By no means what I expected.

On the bright side, we will use it in it's capacity,

and it is VERY high quality, in my opinion.

We purchased based on a prior purchase of another pan of the same brand and line.

After less than six months this pan has developed little blisters and the coating is peeling off! When I contacted T-Fal they said to send the pan to them for evaluation. It would take 4-6 weeks for them to determine if the pan is defective. If they determine that it is not, then they will send it back to me at MY expense (in addition to me sending it to them at MY expense!).I was then told that it was probably caused by me using an aerosol on the pan which would void the warranty.Sounds like they've already determined that it's my fault!!The warranty that came with my pan does not mention anything at all about aerosol and I haven't used it anyway!!Nor have I ever used a metal utensil or placed this in the dishwasher. This is a shoddy product with a useless warranty!I would never buy another T-Fal product!!

I bought this pan for my husband based on everyone's positive feedback.Sadly after three uses, the coating on the bottom had bubbled up and I will have to return the pan.I hope there is another more durable non-stick pan that I can order as a replacement.

The pan is advertised as being anodized. You would assume that would mean inside the pan.It only means outside. It is not anodized non-stick on the cooking surface.Very disappointed.

Farberware Nonstick Aluminum 3-Piece Skillet Set

Farberware Nonstick Aluminum 3-Piece Nonstick Skillet Set, CharcoalThese pans are not worthy of the Farberware name, unfortunately...They are far too thin -this leads to burnt food, warping, etc. The Teflon coating is the el-cheapo kind, a far cry from the superior coating you find on Farberware's upper-end Millenium models...

These pans do not deserve the Farberware name. The thin metal will torch your food if you are not careful, and the cheap nonstick material will not last long. This gets two stars because of the low, low price.

Do yourself a favor, and instead buy one quality Calphalon Commercial Nonstick pan on sale. They aren't that much more than this set, if you look hard enough, and they last forever.

I ordered the three pack "First Course" set, supposedly a heavyweight Farberware product as I've seen in stores.I received a light weight, flimsy product called "Cook'n Ease" that was so thin you could easily burn food and warp the pan in no time.Very disappointed.

Very lightweight, I don't know if that is good or bad. Judging the product based on its appearance I expected more. My empty 12 cup coffee maker weighs more than these three pans combined.

They do let you cook in them without anything sticking. Simply put, you get three basic fry pans to use without fear of losing major income if they get ruined. As with most nonstick, don't use high heat as the manufacturer indicates.

Very thin..handles get very hot... coating was bubbling and flaking off after the first grilled cheese sandwich. I paid under 3$ after a rebate... and you get what you pay for. These shouldn't have the farberware name on them. they are to good a brand to put out such a shabby product.

RSVP Endurance 15" Splatter Screen

RSVP Endurance 15' Splatter ScreenAfter buying a 15" Lodge cast-iron skillet, it was difficult to find a splatter screen to cover it.Thankfully, RSVP and Amazon came to the rescue. If you fry, saute', griddle, or must heat spice seeds, you need a splatter screen. If you own a big skillet, this is pretty much the only one out there for you, and it's easy to clean, too.

You know how every so often something arrives from Amazon, you pull it out of the box and think to yourself, "oh... THAT'S what I paid 30 bucks for?" This is one of those items. The screen is much lower quality than the picture (not magnifiable), the high price, and the 5-star reviews suggest. The handle is extremely flimsy and the welding to the screen has an odd yellowish color. The construction around the outside is also quite poor, with sandwiched pieces of stainless steel that don't fit together very well. This is also one of those items on Amazon whose price fluctuates daily ($30.49 when I bought it, $24.95 at the time of the review 2 weeks later). I wouldn't recommend paying more than $10.

Works well. Is sturdy. Make sure you have a place to store it because this is a large size.

It's so hard to find a 15 inch splatter screen and I was so happy when I found it at Amazon.Great quality at a great price.Definitely recommend this item if you need a splatter screen in this size like I do.

Want RSVP Endurance 15" Splatter Screen Discount?

As the other reviewers have suggested, this is a splatter screen large enough to cover your biggest skillets.I use it on a 14" All Clad 6 Qt Saute pan, and it works quite well even though the small lift handle opposite the long stem handle doesn't allow the screen to sit perfectly flat on the pan.Anything smaller than this makes for a messy cook top.

T-fal Simply Delicioso C1071164 Nonstick Dishwasher Safe Hard Enamel 11-Inch Comal Round Griddle Co

T-fal Simply Delicioso C1071164 Nonstick Dishwasher Safe Hard Enamel 11-Inch Comal Round Griddle Cookware, RedI was skeptical about ordering a non-stick surface griddle for health concerns, however, when I read the description of the surface that was provided with the packaging, I was very pleased. This product is next-generation non-stick, and is not a safety hazard in the the way the old-time non-stick was.The griddle itself is a work of art, especially the part that makes contact with the stove, so I hang it on a hook with the bottom facing out, and it looks like modern, Mexican art hanging in my kitchen.Plus, the griddle works great with my ceramic cooktop stove.

I love this pan!!!! It makes wonderful crepes, just what I wanted. I would recomend the wonerful pan to everyone. Seller was great.

Le Creuset Enameled Cast-Iron Panini Press and Skillet Grill Sets

Le Creuset Enameled Cast-Iron Panini Press and Skillet Grill, CaribbeanI originally wrote this review for the press alone. At the time I bought the press, Amazon wasn't offering the press/pan as a set. Now it does and since anyone interested in this product is probably going to be looking at reviews of the set rather than the individual components, I'll repeat my review, with enhancements:

While shopping a retail cooking store, I fell in love with the Krups FDE312 panini press. A bit of Amazon research, however, turned up a disturbing pattern of sudden failures in this product. Research into other presses from Cuisinart, DeLonghi, Breville, Villaware, and others failed to produce a clear front runner. It seemed that each product had one or more issues non-removable grill plates, difficult cleaning, lack of grill ribs, flimsy handles, tendency to dry food, non-adjustable temperature, etc. Enter the Le Creuset 10 ¼" grill pan and panini press. You can submerge them to clean. They're coated with enamel, not Teflon, which means with proper care they should last two lifetimes (although they're only guaranteed for the lifetime of the original owner)(and note, this is a satin enamel coating, not the Le Creuset smooth coating, the longevity of which I can confirm from personal experience). There's no electrical element to burn out, no cord to store, no moving parts to break. Use is simple. Heat the grill on one burner (we have gas, but they're supposed to work with other technologies) and the press on the other. Wait until a spatter of water vaporizes almost instantly. Brush grill pan with some oil. Place sandwiches on grill pan. Pick up the press, brush on some oil, place on sandwiches and press for a few moments. Sizzle, sizzle. Wait until the cheese melts. Serve. The panini were just like what I'd eaten in Italy. I haven't owned an electric press, but I can't imagine they'd be better. Cleanup of the enamel surface requires a bit of care but, unlike every Teflon-coated product I've ever owned, that surface will probably still be there 20 years from now. And since the grill pan actually has sides (unlike every electric panini press I looked at), there was no side-spattering and thus no cleanup to do around the cooking area. The only disadvantages the grill/press combination costs $140, almost twice the cost of the average electric panini grill. But since many of the grill reviews I read spoke of this being their second (or third) electric grill, I suspect you'd make the money back over the next 20 years. Also, running multiple batches is a bit more of a problem than with a self-heating grill, since you need to place the now oily press back on the flame to reheat it, which can potentially lead to flaring of the residual oil, and will also get the burner oily. I intend to see, however, if you can reheat the press in the pan rather than putting it directly on a burner.

Let me just get right to it:this works okay if you want to make one, maybe two sets of sandwiches at most.It may work better if you have a gas stovetop (I don't) but works passably with a flat top electric stove top (what I have) and I'm guessing it would work with electric burners as well.I got all excited reading other reviews about how this press will last forever (it probably will), how it is high quality (true), easier to store (also true), simple to clean (still true), has no breakable parts (yes, yes) and can also be used for other food items like burgers and chicken (probably also true). But I mostly wanted it for panini.

Using it: After opening it I read that this is not meant to be used with my type of cook top but I thought I could probably still make it work. And I did.But it took three batches of panini to get the crust I wanted.Too black, too white, just right-and I don't see how anyone, no matter the cook top, will avoid this process. No little dial to set like on a traditional panini maker for how you want your toasted product to turn out.Second, the instructions say, heat your pan and press on separate burners till hot. Then grease each piece and set the press inside the pan for a minute or so, then do your sandwiches OFF THE HEAT.Okay great. Now say you want to make more than two sandwiches, which is what the pan will hold.No problem for the pan, just put it back on the burner to reheat, but what about the press? It is now greased on the side you put directly in contact with the burner (perhaps more of a problem for electric ranges...).You can carefully wipe it dry (it's still hot) and stick it back on the burner, then grease it again (did that, annoying to deal with, but it worked). You can use the retained heat from the press and pan and get a much more lightly toasted second set of sandwiches (have also done that) and then you pretty much have to start over. With a traditional press you can just keep sliding sandwiches out, sandwiches in.I'm feeding a family of six, so to me this seems like a real selling point for the grills and a real drawback for the press.

After I mastered my pan and press I was all happy till I got to thinking, what would one of these taste like without the grill marks? Some of the traditional presses have two sided plates, one smooth, one ridged.I wanted to try a smooth panini. Luckily I had the wit to realize this would be a simple matter. I got out a plain old frying pan and made a no grill marks panini by simply using slighly thinner bread, and pressing the sandwich down with a spatula as it was cooking, then flipping it halfway through.I liked it better, but that is a matter of opinion. It did get me thinking though: I already have high quality skillets.Did I really just pay $150 for a fancy grilled cheese sandwich pan?Yes, I think I did.

I would say that the most value I got from this purchase is the little booklet that came with it urging you to mix spices in a small dish of olive oil, then to brush your panini bread with this mixture on the outside before making them.It is delicious.Don't think I would have thought of it on my own and my panini cookbook doesn't mention that great little idea, so kudos to Le Crueset for good cooking tips. But you may want to consider (as I wish I had), before dropping your cash:does anyone really need a panini maker? To cook something both sides at a time, thus saving a total of two minutes, and to imprint it with grill marks:is this worth $150 to you?Or $80 or $90 if you go the traditional press route? Before buying this or any panini press I would urge you to get out a heavy duty flat bottom skillet, assemble a panini, place it in the pan over medium heat, press it down with a spatula, and carefully flip it two minutes later. If this is tasty to you, you just saved yourself more than $100 and you are still enjoying a panini.

I hope to use this pan for other things, like burgers, steaks and chicken, to feel I got my money's worth out of it.It is a great pan, nothing wrong with it, thus the four stars. HOWEVER If I really wanted fancy grill marked panini I think I would rather have gone with a traditional press for the convenience of making multiple sandwiches, not using up more than half my stove to make what is supposed to be a quick and simple meal, and adjustable temperature control. Nor would I get one with multisided plates.I would use a frying pan for a "no grill marks" sandwich. Something to think about!

I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas. In all honesty, I also bought it for myself, because I'm a vegetarian, and I needed some sort of method for introducing variety into my dinner routine.I was getting really tired of rice and beans and greens. This little set, while extremely expensive (in my opinion), really is a lot of fun, and the panini is excellent, as long as you FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS.We didn't read the manual carefully the first time we used it, so I was disappointed, but when you do exactly what the thing says, and get a decent feel for how long to let the sandwich cook for, it turns out great sandwiches.

In short: heat both components up, like it says, and then take them OFF the heat, brush them with whatever (we use a spray cooking oil;olive oil did NOT work), put the top onto the bottom for a bit, and then put the sandwich in, press down, and wait.If you forget to put the top back onto the bottom, it won't work right, I have found. And you're not supposed to put it back onto the heat.Maybe all that is obvious to cooking people, but I'm a novice.

I received this for set for Christmas and have already used it a few times. I cooked yellow fin tuna the first use and it came out spectacular. Love the grill marks, and even cooking. This is definitely a piece of cookware that loves low/slow heat, I had it on my main burner on a low heat and got the oil to just about smoking and then threw on my tuna. Cooked it 5 mins a side and it came out with a terrific natural taste! The main event was the panini, I cut my ciabatta bread up, sprayed it with olive oil and layerd on the prosciutto and provolone. I heated the top press on one burner and the skillet on another, once the pan was sufficiently hot (water sizzle/pop) i turned off the heat on both and threw on the first panini and put the press on top. I let it cook for about 5 minutes and found it to be beautifully browned with nice even grill marks. The second one cooked the same without having to apply any more heat. Great set, I'm looking forward to cooking more with it!

This is a great product. The grill pan itself is very heavy, and retains heat very well. The press is similarly robust but has not proved to be as useful on electric ranges -the range can't get the press hot enough to really do much more than weight the food down.Originally we purchased this item to facilitate preparation of panini, but we've since grown accustomed to using it for all indoor grilling applications.

The handle is nicely shaped and is easily held with two fingers. It's shiny. It's just a lid. Though if you didn't have a lid your sauce or whatnot might splatter across your stovetop, and wouldn't that be messy? Yay lids!

Well, it is a stainless lid, that fits small All-Clad saucepans. Performance is not an issue, reallythe only things wrong with it are common to all All-Clad lids (must lift to see food cooking, flat rim around edge is easily dinged and compromises seal with pan.) Also, the c.$30 for a little circle of metal is hard to swallow, but then, we must not mind too much because we are buying these products no matter how much they cost!

Norpro Stainless Steel 10 Inch Egg Poacher Skillet Set

Norpro Stainless Steel 10 Inch Egg Poacher Skillet SetIn a competitor's (let's say Brand X) poacher with plastic (ugh) cups, the thermal conductivity of the cups is so low that eggs effectively cook only from the top down from being directly exposed to the steam.Result:after 9 minutes of poaching (at 7300 feet), the yolk (which floats on top) and the top half of the egg white are firm; meanwhile the egg white on the bottom still quivers like jelly and is semi-transparent (ugh). And the cooking pan is quite shallow (just under one and one half inches inner measure), with the result that boiling water easily spills over on top of the poaching eggs, creating a real mess inside and out.

The stainless steel egg cups on this unit are perfectly formed and slightly flattened on the bottom with a thermal conductivity so good that eggs cook pretty equally from all sides. The pan is quite deep (just under two and three-eight inches inner measure) so that the poaching tray rides very high over the surface of the boiling water. The result is a perfectly poached egg, no messes, to whatever degree of firmness of the white one wants.Yet one can still have a soft or partially soft yolk, impossible to achieve with "Brand X" above. At an elevation of 7300 feet, poaching time using this pan for a firm white and medium (non-runny) yolk was 6 minutes; for a firm white and softer yolk, between 4 and 5 minutes.Lower elevations should adjust these times downward a minute or two.

Because of its' stainless steel composition, depth and diameter, the pan can also be used for other cooking.Indeed, this reviewer dares to suggest that despite its higher price, this unit is almost a mandatory addition to any good cook's staple of cooking utensils.Because of bad past experiences with the kind of riveted handle attachment to the pan used here, which breaks off too easily, this reviewer docks this unit one-half star.Aside from that, the design and materials of this product are generous indeed; it's appearance is so attractive that this reviewer left it sitting on top of the range as general décor. The only other gripe is with the shipping expense which was one-fourth of the total cost. But in all fairness the heavy-duty packaging did protect the glass lid and unit as a whole.

If you are looking for a great egg poacher, buy this model!

Through the years we had an electric teflon coated egg poacher that cooked the eggs well except we did not like the fact that we were scraping off the teflon surface each time we tried to clean the egg cups out.We did not want to be ingesting the teflon anymore. We found this Stainless Steel egg poacher and just love it and it is actually easier to clean. One just needs to set a timer for 5 minutes and is able to get perfectly poached eggs.

Buy Norpro Stainless Steel 10 Inch Egg Poacher Skillet Set Now

I won't comment on anything else other than how to avoid having the eggs stick in the cups, which many people complain about with poachers in general. The first few times I used the poacher, I sprayed oil into the cups then put in the eggs and started the cooking. But once they were cooked, the eggs stuck like crazy in the cups.I had to scoop them out with a spoon, which wasn't so bad, but the egg remnants were impossible to get out of the cups. Here's the trick don't just spray oil into the cups.Fill the cup with oil (I use olive oil), slosh it around, then pour the oil out.The easy way is to pour it from one cup to the next and so on until you've oiled all the cups. Then pour the remaining oil back into the oil container.Put the eggs in and cook them and they'll drop right out of the cup with no stickage at all. That's it.Do this and you'll be happy with poaching.Use an oil sprayer and you'll make a mess every time.Hear me now and believe me later.

On the strength of the above review, hesitating only because there were no others, I bought the product.I can now corroborate the conlusions there stated.

I gave five stars because I doubt that the handle would cause a problem in ordinary use.Mine was not riveted but seems to be spot welded (securely).

If you are looking for a good egg poacher look no further, this is it. Why buy yet another electric appliance to take up valuable cabinet space? This poaches eggs beautifully and can also double as a skillet all on the cooker you already have. It only takes 5 mintues to poach an egg with a soft yoke, 7 for a firmer yoke. I use this several times a week for breakfast. If I were to complain about anything it would be the little handles of the cups, they do get hot, otherwise one can't go wrong with this poacher set.

All-Clad Copper Core 12-Inch Chef's Pan

All-Clad Copper Core 12-Inch Chef's PanWhen I started law school, I moved into a studio apartment with only microwave pots to cook in.After a year, I decided that some better form of food was necessary.I first got an All-Clad 1-quart saucier, and then I got this amazing pot/pan.I need nothing else.It warms quickly and evenly and cleans beautifully. At first I choked over the price but I bit the bullet and got it.The cost is, granted, about the same that one can pay and get a whole set, but I've had those inferior sets before. They've gotten thrown out in a year or two because they're worth exactly what I paid for them.Should I ever actually need another pot, I won't look at anything but All-Clad cop-r core.

This pan is of top quality. Heating is rather even due to its special constraction. The 12 inch size is perfect for preparing meal for 1-4 persons. The handle will never be hot however the handle of lid could be hot if cook long.

CON: When stirring fry eggs or meat, this pan is really sticky. I changed from high heat to medium heat and added more vegetable oil and these won't help that much.

I bought this pan five months ago and have not regretted it. It was the first piece of All Clad Copper Core that I purchased and I have purchased five more pans since! First of all, the pan looks beautiful and you can put it in the dishwasher. I clean it with powdered Bar Keepers Friend (sells for $2 in Publix) and then put it in the dishwasher. My dishwasher has a sanitize cycle, so I prefer to put as many things in it as possible that do not require hand washing.

I have cooked a variety of things in this pan: Fried items, sautéed items, marinara sauce, stews, soups, etc. Basically, it is a great multi-purpose pan and unusual. You will never find this style of pan in a set that you would buy. I am not into Asian food, but obviously if you like that, this pan would be perfect for stir frying. It holds quite a bit of food and the loop makes it easy to move from the stove to other areas of the kitchen if you need to. The lid is high doomed so moisture will stay in as well. I really do not think you can go wrong with this pan. I own the 10 inch fry pan, but find it's not necessary to purchase the 12 inch since I have the Chef's Pan.

I recently received this pan as a gift and, though I have not used it much yet, I think it is necessary to mention that the Amazon product description is wrong--this pan is not a wok, or "wok-like" in anything more than a superficial sense (it has rounded sides). It is much shallower than a standard wok, and has a much larger flat portion on the bottom than a standard flat-bottom wok (it is more like a deep skillet with a lid than it is wok-like). Yes, one could stir-fry in it, but that means little (one could try to stir-fry in a skillet or sauce pan also).

Stir-frying will certainly be easier and better in an actual wok that is deeper and more rounded; I have one made by Calphalon and it is great. As far as this chef's pan goes, I plan to use it primarily for fricassees and braises.

Want All-Clad Copper Core 12-Inch Chef's Pan Discount?

Also known as a Sauteuse Evasee, this type of chef's pan is probably the most versatile piece of cookware one can buy. It can boil, steam, stir fry, deep fry, braise, blanch, slow cook, pan fry, blacken, saute, and perform pretty much any other task required of cookware. In my opinion, there is no better pan for making large amounts of roux based sauces, it effectively functions as an extra wide 4qt saucier. Using a whisk couldn't be any easier, there are no hard to reach areas whatsoever.

All Clad's version of this pan is particularly convenient because it can be placed in the dishwasher. Not everyone has the time to hand wash their pans, especially if you cook on weekdays.

Please do not buy this pan thinking it will replace a traditional Chinese carbon steel or cast iron wok. The heat distribution is much too high to achieve the high temperatures around the edges that are required to produce "wok hay", that great smoky, umami-packed wok signature flavor. For everything, and I mean everything else in the kitchen however, it is great!

Tayama 13.5 Inch Iron Wok

Tayama 13.5 Inch Iron WokI'm replacing my non-stick cookware with iron, stainless and anodized aluminum because the coating is something I don't want to ingest with my food anymore.I had a non stick chef's pan that I replaced with this wok because it was a pan I was using all the time. This wok is great but it will take a little while to season because you can't oil it and stick it in the oven the way you can cast iron (the handles would melt). It comes with no instructions for seasoning it.Although things stuck a little the first couple of times, if you quickly wash it w/very little soap and dry it over a flame with a light coating of oil it seems to work and is seasoning quite well; nothing sticks anymore.Iron isn't known for heat-distribution properties but it's great for searing and browning.I don't use it only for Asian cooking though; I made a great slow-cooked pasta sauce in it too and steam veggies in it as well.It took a little experimenting with the flame but now I love it.I highly recommend this before spending a bundle on a stainless chef's pan, wok or any non-stick coating.

My original order comes in with totally broken handle. So I asked for an exchange. The new one has craks on the hanging ring. However, it does not affect functionability, so I kept it (albeit a little bit disappointedly).

The wok it self works great! The seasoning is very very easy to do. The heat conduction is great too!. I would have given a 5 but for the fragile plastic parts.

It's a good iron wok, heated evenly and quickly. However, the handle broke in no more than 2 weeks. Fortunately I was not cooking when it broke, and I can still use the handle on the other side.

This would have been a good wok if it had nor arrived with a cracked handle. Good size and wok material but the plastic used on the handles must be really weak. Can not recommend. Amazon returned my money and return postage was paid.

Revere Polished Aluminum 11-Inch Nonstick Square Frying Pan

Revere Polished Aluminum 11-Inch Nonstick Square Frying PanThis griddle was exactly what I hoped it would be.Its shape and weight are perfect for making French Toast, and it's very easy to clean afterwards. The price was fair, and the shipment very speedy. It's safe atop ceramic cooking surfaces, too.

Very disappointing.Lightweight, totally flimsy, and not at all the sort of quality that one would expect from Revere. Is this a secondary, cheaper, line, or has Revere lowered its quality?

Revere Copper Bottom 12" Covered Skillet

Revere Copper Bottom 12' Covered SkilletWe bought this to replace a two decade old 12" copper bottom Revere skillet that had served us well..First impressions were that the steel was significantly thinner, not as flat, and more flexible. The first cooking experiences with thin fish fillets were that it was difficult to get the fish cooking correctly without burning the oil away from the fish. That makes it difficult to make a decent pan sauce. We'll give it a little while longer, but I forsee this going to Goodwill in a short time.

Fissler Vitaquick Pressure Pan Set

Fissler Vitaquick Pressure Pan SetThis is my second Vitaquick.I have a larger (6.4 qt.) pan but I mostly cook for just one or two so this 4.2 qt. is a nice size for me.

I can't get over how beautiful this cooker is.Love the dimpled bottom, the disc that covers the entire bottom of the pan, how easy it is to place the lid on the base and the steamer basket...what a beautiful design!Everything about this PC is pure genius! This PC cooks so efficiently and expertly I find myself looking for occasions to use it.Clean-up is easy and rast.

I have a few Kuhn Rikon PCs but the Fissler is head and shoulders over all the others.

ETA: After a few weeks of usage I found some brown spots on the exterior walls of this pan. After trying to remove them and then panicking because I thought the stainless was defective, I messaged Fissler customer service to find that the cause was calcium deposits from my water. They suggested I use a good stainless cleaner (I used Kuhn Rikon Swiss Cleaner) and the spots came right off.My pan is back to its original gorgeous self!!!

Very good performance!

I love it excellent it works better that any other one that I have try! Very fine pot

Takoyaki Pan w/ Handle 12 Molds #TBT1

Takoyaki Pan w/ Handle 12 Molds #TBT1I was really surprised at how heavy the pan was. I am a little worried about the wooden handle though. The handle screws into the pan, but to me it doesn't seem very sturdy. We'll see how it holds up after a few months.

As expected, it only came with the pan. There appeared to be a recipe on the back but it's all in Japanese which I don't read. I found my recipe online instead. The first few batches didn't turn out very well due to errors on my part, but soon they were looking similar to the ones I had in restaurants.

Overall it's a good product.

This pan does have a screw-on handle, but I had no problems with it loosening once it was tightened on (by hand). The pan itself is made from heavy cast iron, but with a smooth finish, so with the proper amount of oil the takoyaki won't stick. The only instructions are in Japanese, but a quick search on the internet will yield plenty of recipes and directions. So far we have made about three batches, and on average, only 1 in 12 balls didn't turn out... and this was our first time ever making takoyaki!

This Takoyaki pan works fine. I heaed it up till very hot, applied a thin layer of oil, and let it cool down before the 1st time of use. The batter won't stick. It's heavy, but very easy to use.

A good buy for 'chefs' like me who prefer not to deep fry and save energy not using the oven.Perfect size, not overwhelmingly heavy and is ready to use.I smeared oil to it, put it in the oven for about 20 minutes at 400d and it was ready to use on my stove top.I also love the fact that the handle is made out of wood and not iron.

Green Earth Frying Pan 3-Piece Set by Ozeri (8", 10", 12"), with Textured Ceramic Non-Stick Coating

Green Earth Frying Pan 3-Piece Set by Ozeri, with Textured Ceramic Non-Stick Coating from GermanyUpdated May 2012 I wrote the first review in January. After using these pans daily since we received them, I have to say they're still terrific. I know some of the reviews report that the non-stick coating doesn't last, but we haven't had any issues with them. I don't wash the pans. I do wipe them out with a dish towel as soon as I remove food from them, when they're still warm. I keep them seasoned with a small amount of coconut oil. Occasionally, residue builds up on the side of one of the pans. When that happens, I fill the pan with warm water and add an anti-grease dish soap, such as Dawn or Ful-Sol, and let it soak overnight. Then I just rinse it out and dry it with a towel--no scrubbing and no more residue. I season the pan before using it again. I'm very careful not to use metal utensils for cooking; instead, I use silicon, wood, or utentils made specifically for non-stick pans.

--------

January 2012 We've been concerned for some time about toxins from traditional non-stick pans. So we invested in high end French cast iron several years ago. They're expensive and heavy, and not as non-stick as we'd hoped. After reading the reviews, we decided to try the 3-Pan set of Green Earth Pans and are delighted we did. As avid Atkins dieters, we eat a lot of protein, particularly eggs and fish. Both brown nicely in the Green Earth pans, and can be cooked with little to no oil or butter. Clean up is simple--just a wipe with a soft cloth or sponge, which we prefer over paper towels. We've been looking at ceramic pans for a while and were careful about investing. Most brands seemed expensive and unproven. The price point with Green Earth was what we were looking for and the Amazon reviews helped us make the decision to buy. It was a good decision, and one we'd make again.

Bought these pans over six months ago as an affordable replacement for our peeling teflon pans. They have been fantastic the non-stick coating still works and the pans clean up beautifully. Don't know why some people think the non-stick coating wears off so soon. We never put them in the dishwasher. After cooking some foods we notice a "film" that won't wash off. Just use a finger nail to gently remove. Don't spray with oils or non-stick coatings. And you don't need to cook at temperatures as high as you may be used to. We found eggs stuck if we turned the heat up too high. Bought a second set recently for a gift. Love them!

We bought this set because we've become more health-conscious lately."Environmentally-friendly" does not always mean it will be high quality, but in this case, we were happy with the high-performance follow-through.We've made fried eggs and scrambled and both cooked beautifully. The textured bottom seems to keep food elevated on air and makes release of the food easier. A great set!

The Short Review: Amazing!

The Real Review:OK, so my wife and I have been looking to replace our set of well-used Calphalon pans ever since last month when I took a close look and found tiny black flakes of teflon in our scrambled eggs.My brother had been raving about his nifty ceramic surface-pan for some time, so after a little arm-twisting my wife and I were about to purchase one.As fortune would have it, some of our favorite friends beat us to the punch and landed us with this three-pan set from Ozeri.

Upon arrival, we tested the pans with a number of unique tasks: fried plantains in coconut oil, then last night we did a bunch of sauteed mushrooms, and today the ultimate testa pair of eggs over easy with no oil product at all.The plantains came out a beautiful golden, crunchy outside, and soft inside; the mushrooms sauteed like a dreamcooking out the juices, the soaking them back up and leaving them golden and tender. And the eggs: the first thing I noticed when I dropped them into the pan was that they whitened perfectly even.It must be from the uniquely textured surface, because the old teflon we would have to kind of move the pan around to get an even cook.Right away I tried to lift a corner of one of the eggs and it seemed to be sticking, but then a couple seconds later when they were ready to flip, they slipped off beautifully leaving nothing behind.

So I am tickled pink.Super happy not to be messing with teflon anymore. It's high time we evolved beyond that synthetic, toxic crap.My brother has had his Ozeri for nearly a year and still raves about it, so I look forward to using these for long time.

Happy cooking!

~Jacob

This product had such good reviews that I chose to buy all three pans.I am an optimist at heart so I hate to write a bad review, but these pans just are awful.I purchased them 3 months ago.The first time I used the pans they were wonderful!Nothing stuck to them. But a mere 3 months later and they are the worst pans. One has a chip in it (which could have been user error maybe I used a metal spoon to stir something?) and none of them have retained their non-stick quality.I would not recommend these pans to anyone. (And, unfortunately, they are past the 90 day return policy or I would return them.)
