Norpro Nonstick Mini Donut Pan

Norpro 6-Count Nonstick Donut PanI LOVE this pan! I have also bought 'cheaper' versions and found them to be far inferior. The cheaper pans have a seam ridge on the top around each donut cavity that catches batter and snags cleaning cloths. They are much thinner and lighter than this pan and therefore do not heat as evenly. Also the donut cavities in the cheaper versions are not as deep and the hole maker is much smaller, resulting in a donut that is not 'pleasing to the eye' and looks more like a cookie with a small hole in the middle. This pan cooks evenly every time and the donuts come out looking 'professional' and deliciously tempting! I highly recommend this pan!

We like this pan but if you buy it MAKE SURE you season it before making your first batch. We didn't with ours and the we had to throw out the first batch of donuts because they tasted like metal.Just put it in a 400 degree oven for about 10 min. b4 making your first batch.

This is really great for making cake donuts.

I was surprised to see a review saying they had problems with their donuts sticking to the pan. I haven't run into that at all. One of the things I love about this pan is how you don't need any oil. You do need to let them cool about 5-10 mins before removing. Maybe that's why your donuts are sticking?

I would buy two if I were buying again though, because who only makes 12 mini donuts at a time?

This is the best kitchen purchase I have ever made! I regularly make vegan donuts, and have always struggled with achieving the conventional donut form. With this pan, you simply spoon your batter in the molds and 10 minutes later, you have perfect donuts! I recommend spraying a bit of cooking spray into the molds to ease pulling the donuts out with this method you're guaranteed to get perfect donuts with nothing sticking in th pan! I will be purchasing another one so I can make a dozen at a time!

I like the pan, it is well made and serves the purpose. The holes are very small and getting batter to go in and not get all over the middle is hard. The pan itself is great though and really good at the non-stick, and very heavy duty. If I buy anymore, I will make sure I get the bigger size though. Small one is hard to maneuver batters into without making a terrible mess.

Cuisinart Contour Stainless Open Skillet with Helper Handle

Cuisinart 422-20 Contour Stainless 8-Inch Open SkilletI received it as a Christmas gift from a friend when I mentioned my worries about the teflon. It is a wonderful skillet that I use every day. It is important to use PAM or some kind of spray to prevent the food to stick to it and to wash and dry it after each use. Low to medium heat to prevent burn marks. If it gets any yellow mark (hopefully you do not burn it), you may use "Brillo" softly to remove any stain (I have done this and it did not cause any damage). You may also use 1/2 vinegar 1/2 water (for a few lets say about 10 minutes). All that works for me. My skillet looks almost like new after constant ever day use for more than 3 months. I love it!!!!!

Bought this during the holidays, actually very beautiful (I suppose an odd thing to say about a kitchen utensil, but it makes your kitchen look that much more designer, lol ;) ).

Works just as the ad says, easy to clean too.

Ok, here's the tip, if you need a great fitting cover that's just as shiny, has glass viewing too, & a steam vent, do this:

RSVP UNIV-G Universal Lid w/Glass Insert, by Endurance. Sold on Amazon. I have it too, & it fits perfect.

Hint: Use olive oil spray or liquid for easy non-stick cooking. I swear by stainless steel--I don't use teflon due to the release of toxins during cooking.

We decided to try a couple of individual pieces before committing to a complete set. This skillet was the first to arrive and we tried it out at lunchtime by frying an egg for a fried egg sandwich.I had read reviews of the complete sets where people had complained about eggs sticking.I can't imagine what they were doing. They must have put an egg in a dry, hot pan.We put a little butter in the cold pan and heated it up before cracking the egg.The egg rolled around in the pan like it was on ball bearings. No sticking. This pan only requires moderate heat.It works great and looks great.I can't wait for the big skillet to arrive.I'm sure that I can convince my wife to spring for a complete set of this fine cookware.

This replaces a Tefal equivalent where the non-stick coating was starting to go.

This pan has a very solid base, and it works well on our gas range in that even at high, there were no hot spots allowing for even cooking, and the pan heats quickly too.

We were worried about straight stainless as opposed to non-stick, and we were surprised that the food doesn't attach that easily to the surface.

Cleaning with a plastic non-abrasive pad worked well, no soaking necessary, that may change after the pan gets more wear, but so far, very pleased.

The handle does not get hot or warm, even on our biggest burner at max heat after 15 minutes searing we can hold the handle without getting burned.

The sides are not the thickest metal but the pan does not flex and the build quality we found excellent compared to our other pans.

This product looks identical to the Emerill line except for the branding Cuisinard.

We're sold on this particular build quality, the next time we need a pan or a pot, we'll look for the same product line.

Hamilton Beach 38540 16-inch Step Up Skillet, Black

Hamilton Beach 38540 16-inch Step Up Skillet, BlackThe reason I selected this particular skillet was because of the drainage lip, and lockable lid. It was more pricey than the others, but since I use a skillet almost daily, I figured I would splurge and get a really good one.

When I received it, I was wiping the temperature control, and the face with the degrees came off. I thought it was odd that the one I received was black faced, but the one on the box was silver, and stainless steel looking. The picture on the Amazon site makes it difficult to see the control.I called Amazon to return it for another. I received the skillet with the same black faced temperature control. The rest of the skillet is really very, very nice. It's just the temperature control thats really, really cheapo! I'm really surprised that this price of skillet has that cheap of a control. I've bought other skillets that were cheaper, but had a much better control than this. (Presto, for example) So, if you purchase this skillet, please beware that the face on the control is plastic coated paper. And use caution when cleaning the control!

This is definitely a step up in terms of appearance when compared to most skillets in this price range.Performance: the unit heats incredibly fast and evenly. The clip top lid is wonderful, because the edge of the pan has a built-in spout so you can pour of broth, liquid, grease, etc.Just try and do that with an ordinary skillet that doesn't have a locking lid, and doesn't have a pour spout.Temperature control is excellent. The thick rubber feet, and sturdy cast metal frame hold the unit beautifully firmly. 1) The built-in drain on the skillet allow air/steam out of the skillet.I thought that would mean heat and moisture would escape quickly, and this would likely not be ideal for certain cooking styles I was wrong. I've used this baby a ton, and the little corner spot allows excess heat, but in no way shape or form affects cooking, steaming, boiling, or any style of frying whatever. For me this really didn't matter, because I would only pan fry, fry burger, fry steak, fry eggs, fry bacon, fry pork, fry fry fry and saute.Any type of pan style cooking is performed with ease within the Ham-Beaches coffers.Anyways, my point is this: It's a great piece, works perfectly, has some awesome features, and looks good.Nothing is perfect, but you will love this product, and it clearly will last a long time.Five stars.ADDED:I've removed some thoughts from my initial review, because I didn't know if the pot would do certain things, so let me just say this: "This is easily the finest cooking product I have ever owned".It will do everything, and do it incredibly well.Cleanup is so incredibly easy.I use this product up to 5 times a day.

I have the presto electric skillet, and liked, but, because the bottom is so thin, everything goes to the middle..very uneven heat. Also the legs are very loose and flimsy, making it very unstable on the counter. This has a very heavy bottom,, and is much more stable.Something I have learned about all these nonstick electric skillets/griddles is DO NOT use Pam or other nonstick sprays, they leave a funky sticky unremovable film...use a little olive oil spray or a little butter.

This skillet has become very handy. It is a good large size and I love the pouring spout and secure cover.I usually cooked bacon on a griddle built into the stove. That left a mess on the stove to clean. This skillet doesn't leave half the mess.Good evan heating.Well worth the price. One minor issue is that the mark for setting the temperature is difficult to see, although the power indicator is fairly close.

Silit Fresh 9-Inch Deep Frying Pan, Lemon Green

Silit Fresh 9-Inch Deep Frying Pan, Lemon GreenIn my never ending quest to improve my health, I discovered that the nickel in stainless steel was affecting me adversely. I began searching for "nickel-free" stainless steel, and in a round about way, my Google Searches led me to the Silit brand of "allergy-free cookware". Amazon.com had the best price that I could find, so I ordered the 9 inch and the 11 inch "Fry and Serve Pans".

They are on the heavy side (they weight the same as cast iron). This is a bit of a challenge with the 11 inch Fry and Serve as I am trying to get the contents out and into a storage container.

I was nervous that they would fail to live up to the "non-stick" claim lucky for me, that fear was unwarranted. They are wonderfully "non-stick" (it is like cooking on glass). Clean up is a breeze.

And Wow are they Beautiful! The colors in my kitchen are yellow, blue and green. I may have to buy a pot hanger, and find a reason to buy a blue and a yellow Silit cookware piece so that I can display them coordinating with my kitchen colors!

Cuisinart 630-30 Chef's Classic Nonstick Hard-Anodized 12-Inch Round Grill Pan

Cuisinart 630-30 Chef's Classic Nonstick Hard-Anodized 12-Inch Round Grill PanI love this pan!As someone who truly enjoys cooking, I have several types of 'skillets;' cast iron, non stick annodized, and enameled cast iron. Each has its particular talents in the kitchen.

I wanted a grill pan. After doing some research, I decided on this Cuisinart for two reasons:reputation and weight.I was also lucky to find it at a time when special pricing was featured.

The weight issue is important for me as I have lung disease that fatigues me rather quickly. This pan is managable! But of course, the object of buying it was grilling. I have done steaks, chicken, pork and salmon in this pan, and it conducts heat beautifully. The initial sear is exquisite. It is the grill pan for which I was hoping, and I could not be more pleased.

My main reason for purchasing a grill pan was for things like tuna steak and grilled vegetables. I don't eat greasy foods, so I'm not so concerned about draining off fat, but more interested in dry-cooking and blackening.Although a big, heavy cast iron pan is best for this purpose, I didn't want to lift anything that heavy all the time.

This pan really works well for what I need. So well that I find I use it for EVERYTHING, EVERY DAY, not just for grilling! It has replaced my other non-stick fry pans for all purposes.

Pros: Incredible cleanup--much better than my Calphalon non-stick pans. Handle is longer and does not get as hot as Calphalon, so you can actually pick it up without a potholder.Pan is very light, considering its size--it's HUGE!(see cons).

Cons: It's light in weight. If you are looking for something heavy this is not it--get a cast iron. For me, this is a plus. Also, I wish I had looked further and gotten the 10-inch.I have an electric stove and my burners are not big enough for the 12-inch pan. I still use it but move it off the burner a little.I recommend the 10-inch to get better use of the heat if you have electric.

Bottom line:I would buy this pan again, but probably the 10-inch.

I am a serious cook for 30 years. This is by far the best grill pan I have ever owned.

I've only used this pan a handful of times maybe less than 10 times for steaks and burgers. The nonstick part of one side of the pan is already partially showing the metal part of the pan. It's the outer part of the pan that's coming off which I don't scrub hard when I'm cleaning it. I would even normally soak my pans for a few hours to ease up the cleaning. I would expect the center part to come off if anything from the scrubbing. I just use a regular sponge pad that's normally used for dishes. I must have gotten a defective one.

I'm already beyond amazon's return policy so my only option is to return it to cuisinart. I called cuisinart and they said that I have to ship this pan to them so they can look at the item. I also have to send a $7 check for shipping costs to mail the replacement item if they think it's a manufacturer's defect. Otherwise they'll just return the old pan. I don't know if I want to waste any more time and money with this pan.

T-fal E9421364 Oven Safe Cast Iron 10-Inch Griddle Dishwasher Safe Cookware, Black

T-fal E9421364 Oven Safe Cast Iron 10-Inch Griddle Dishwasher Safe Cookware, BlackMy husband bought this griddle after shopping for months for just the right one.It is wonderful. When we saw it in the store we both knew it was going home with us.Fantastic eggs over easy for dinner! Easy to clean, heated well and it is completely enameled.

I bought this griddle to make "Chappathi" (an indian style tortilla made by wheat flour). But, the chappathi came out either burned or as crisp. I couldn't get the soft texture. Tried adjusting the heat and even adjusted the dough consistency, but all in vain. I am back to my old griddle. I won't recommed it for any indian type bread like chappti, roti, or dosa.

Swiss Diamond Cast-Aluminum Nonstick 11-Inch Fry Pan with Lid

Swiss Diamond Cast-Aluminum Nonstick 11-Inch Fry Pan with LidI purchased a sauté pan and an 11" fry pan. They are an absolute pleasure to use: heat and cook evenly, don't stick, aren't Teflon, and are extraordinarily easy to clean. The glass covers vent a bit and make it easy to see how my dish is doing.

We have tried just about every major brand of non stick surface, and after several months of use, the surface starts to peel. Swiss Diamond is no better. We were excited to use the fry pan, and it worked very well, until a short few months later when the surface began to get damaged by routine cooking. We are going to try scanpan next, but we are not holding our breath. The salesperson at Sur La Table swears by it. If that does not work, we will use stainless steal or cast iron (yes the heavy stuff!).

I've been looking for a good non-stick pan for years and have never been satisfied with the durability or performance of the products I've purchased. I became interested in getting away from teflon when I read that the non-stick process of this product does not "kill the canary".I've been reading about the dangers of conventional teflon and was looking for an alternative. This pan has ended my search.

It is exactly as advertised, heats evenly, does not stick, cleans up without effort and is a pleasure to use.Everything I've cooked in this pan has been perfect, even things that usually stick like teriyaki just get a nice glaze without sticking.Blackend fish just slides out and leaves no residue and even a pan-fried crust browns well and uses less oil.I plan to expand my collection with more of this product.

So here we have a pan marketed as being made with diamonds that render the surface "indestructible." It's hyped up with cool-sounding technology jargon like "nano-composite." The manufacturer blatantly claims the product contains no Teflon whatsoever, and says the pan is safe for your health.

But what's the reality here? In reality:

* The nano-composite non-stick cooking surface is made primarily with PTFE, the chemical known as Teflon.

* The pan is marketed as a product that contains NO Teflon and is safe for your health.

* The non-stick surface scratches easily with a common fork.

* Scratching the surface with a household fork causes microscopic bits of the composite material (PTFE and diamonds) to be released into the food being cooked, whereby they are swallowed by consumers.

* The marketing of Swiss Diamond cookware heavily emphasizes "diamonds" while seemingly going out of its way to avoid mentioning Teflon or PTFE chemicals. It appears to give consumers the impression that they are "cooking on diamonds."

* Consumers are being widely misled into believing that this product is an alternative to Teflon when, in reality, it's made of the same thing as Teflon!

* Swiss Diamond pans are being marketed by some of the best-known retailers and catalog companies in the world, including Amazon.com, NextTen catalog and hundreds of others.

The pan arrived on time and undamaged in the factory box.The nonstick surface is slicker than the hardened titanium one used on Scanpan, and cleans easily. The rotating vent on the glass lid is a nice feature. My wife was skeptical at first, but I've caught her and my daughter using this pan frequentlyin fact, it's become their favorite pan!Unlike a pure teflon finish, this pan will brown the food nicely. As far as durability goes, well, it's too early to tell, but the manufacturer touts the longevity of their product.I like it.
