Clipper Polyethylene Cutting Board

Clipper 215-00260 18-Inch by 24-Inch by 0.5-Inch Polyethylene Cutting Board, GreenThis is an excellent product. I should have paid more attention to the size. Still, it's nice to have a large board in some cases. Now, I want to order a second that is half this size.

Nice polly cutting board. Does what is is supposed to a nice price. Slightly pebbled surface for fast knife work.

Great size and color. Seems to be colored throughout so it should not show white through if it gets a cut mark. I bought the red, and green ones, already have a blue and white. Now if I could just find a yellow one for chicken, my color coding to prevent cross contamination will be complete!

Chef's Secret 5-Ply Stainless-Steel Griddle with Glass Lid

Chef's Secret 5-Ply Stainless-Steel Griddle with Glass LidI bought this griddle to replace a non-stick one that we have owned for years. My husband had heard so many things about the dangers of the chemical coatings entering food that he really wanted us to get rid of all our pots and pans and go to something "safer".

I had to admit that all my "coated" pans had deteriorated and been replaced many times because the coating just does not last....So, we decided to try stainless steel, even though my prior experiences with it years ago had meant sticky surfaces, uneven cooking and hard to clean.

The CHEF'S SECRET is a great, heavy-duty stainless griddle that is actually easy to clean (with a brillo or scrubber) and it cooks even better than the pans I have used in the past, including the non-sticks. You do have to have a good coating before cooking to avoid sticking, but we like olive oil and that seems to work well in addition to being good for you.

It has a nice heft to it and solid construction and I love having a lid available, particularly a glass one to keep an eye on the food.

I HIGHLY recommend this griddle for its abilities, construction and style!

UPDATE 3/2013: We are STILL using this griddle and you would never know to look at it that it isn't brand new. Has obviously held up great!

I'm not a fan of non-stick cookware or aluminum cookware. So the choices for pancakes are limited to stainless steel or cast-iron.I looked into purchasing a cast-iron griddle at a local store. It was a really nice piece. However, I didn't feel confident that I'd have the time to keep the iron "seasoned" to prevent it from rusting.Since this unit was double the price of the cast-iron griddle, I'd been eying it for a while, but hesitant to pull the trigger.Well I finally did.

First thing I noticed when I opened the box, is that this unit is very heavy, and seems well constructed. The instructions say to wash it before using, so I had to wait a day before trying it.I used cooking spray about 2 times for 15+ pancakes. It heats evenly on the stove and I was able to fit 3 pancakes at a time with ease.I was using a 12 inch fry pan before which only allowed one pancake at a time.Cleanup required steel wool, but not much elbow grease.I am definitely pleased with this purchase.

OMG, I have been trying to hold off on righting a review because I appreciate review from people who have really spent some time using the product to find out long term how they hold up.I bought in Jan. 2010 and love it!!! I cannot say enough good about it. Perhaps a little large for some people but that doesn't bother me at all. I cook one person meals on it all the time and like knowing I have room to cook more for company. It never sticks, everything cooks fast and even, clean up is a breeze. Have made eggs, pancakes, chicken, stir fry and grilled cheese on it.It is beautiful, substantial and versatile. Not one complaint. This will last a lifetime and then some. Just what I wanted, something to have and I need never look for another ever.I would give as gift (but if smaller size available that would be more appropriate for some). Love It!!!!!

So, I was tired of making pancakes in my small frying pan where I had to do one at a time...This allows me to make 3 small pancakes (or 2 medium) at a time with a few small sausages cooking to one side. I like that it's all stainless steel and that there's no teflon coating to worry about. Also, it does retain its heat, so once it's hot you can cook the pancakes faster...

The only thing I have to mention is that the original price listed was over $100, and the final price was so discounted to around $35 that it seemed like such a bargain. Well, it's a bit of false advertising. The box it comes in is one of those with infomercial graphics spinning one of those sales pitches like, "MSRP $100....but you get it for only $35!" It's true value is between $30-45, given the prices on similarly priced pots at a discount homeware place in NYC last week.

I received this item and it looked well-made. When I placed it on my glass-top electric range, however, I noticed that it wobbled a bit and as a consequence didn't appear to heat up uniformly. I suppose if you have a gas range this would not be an issue.

Nordic Ware Restaurant 10 inch Brushed Stainless-Steel Lid

Nordic Ware Restaurant 10 inch Brushed Stainless-Steel LidI purchased this lid because my old glass lid trapped used cooking oil between the metal rim and the glass, where it could not be removed. This lid does not have any such problem. The metal is thin, so the lid is fairly light, weighing 0.7 lbs.It should fit pots and pans with an inner diameter between 9.5 inches (the diameter of the lid's recessed portion) and 10.5 inches (the lid's overall diameter).Overall, this is a very good product, the one downside being that the handle becomes too hot to touch after a few minutes.

This cover fits the classic Lodge frying pan so well that you can vent out of one if the pan's pouring spouts if you want to. I would have liked thicker material but it's OK and looks good. Made in Minnesota USA!

This fits my All-Clad MC2 10" fry pan perfectly, as well as my Marcus Sameulsson 10" fry pan.The handle is very comfortable, and the lid is relatively strong. The gauge of stainless steel used to make this lid is not the thickest, but definitely thick enough to hold up to daily use. There is a "lip" on the underside of the lid where the steel has been rolled, which may bother some people.

After looking extensively, I could not find another stainless steel lid at this price point, although I found a lot of aluminum lids for less.Aluminum will react with some foods and is not truly dishwasher safe (discoloration).

This cover is 10.5 inches in diameter, much bigger than my other 10 inch calphalon cover and fits only one of my many 10 inch pans.I guess I should have bought their 9 inch cover to fit my 10 inch pans. Also the steel is kind of thin.

Cooks Standard Multi-Ply Clad Stainless-Steel 13-Inch Wok with Dome Lid

Cooks Standard Multi-Ply Clad Stainless-Steel 13-Inch Wok with Dome LidOverall this is a decent product for use on a gas or electric stove. It seems to be well constructed, though lacking in mass at the base and heat distribution is average at best. However, for induction cooking, which this is advertised to do and the reason I bought it, this "WOK" is lacking. Though it will work on an induction burner, the wok will never get very hot. I performed a test with a thermal gun on the wok when using my gas stove and my 1800W induction burner as my heat sources. The wok performed poorly when using the induction burner and the gas stove test didn't fare much better.

The whole point of getting a wok is to have a cooking vessel that will transfer the maximum amount of heat into your food. I have a standard carbon steal wok that gets rocket hot in a minute when using my induction burner, so I know the burner is capable of putting out the heat. I also tested out a cast iron pan and it too will get over 700 degrees, though it takes a bit longer to get there. With induction cooking; "metal and mass matters".

The final conclusion is that this is a decent "PAN" for the price. If you are getting this to use on an induction burner, "don't". If you are getting this to use as a "WOK", buy a carbon steel or cast iron wok instead; you'll get better results no matter what source you use to heat up your Mung beans.

I bought it mainly because I could not get passed the good price. This is a great wok.Very easy to work with.I thought it would be a bit big for my stove, but it is not.And it has so much room.A few times that the meat had too much liquid in it when I used my 4-qt pan, this wok came to rescue. My stove top is also much cleaner since food does not easily get splashed out of the the pan.Easy clean up as well.

This is the Wok I had wanted for a long time. Finally I got it from Amazon. We cook a lot of vegetables daily, and need a large size fry wok. We've tried several woks and pans, which either aren't stainless or not big enough to hold a large amount of fresh vegetables. This is the best.My husband and I love it very much. It also looks great sitting on the kitchen counter. It is very stable when you stir-fry vegetables and perfect size for the stove and wouldn't waste energy. They are two handles you could hold when the cooking has done. Just remember one thing you need two hands to hold this wok when you try to put cooked food to a plate. You cann't have everything, if you want woks stable it might be heavy. There isn't any problem for me to handle this wok.

First of all, I was very impressed that such a large pan arrived so well packed and in pristine condition! Here are some other reasons why I am so happy with this purchase:

1.All of my cookware is Tramontina 18/10 Stainless Steel Tri-Ply Clad, and I love them, but they do not make a stainless steel clad wok.The Cooks Standard Multi-Ply Clad Stainless-Steel 13-inch Wok looks very similar to the Tramontina line.So displaying it in my kitchen with the rest of my cookware will work out great.I just need to find a space for it, as it is quiet large with the lid.So excited!

2.Due to a wok's outside diameter, I cannot fit one on my smaller burners on the back of my Kenmore glass top stove, as it will hit the back where the controls are.The only way I can use a wok/wok-like pan on my stove, is to get one that has a base diameter that will fit one of my front burners. The smallest burner on the front of my stove is 8 1/2" (my stove manual says I cannot use a pan that is more than one inch larger or smaller than that).Every wok I've found has too small of a base diameter to fit on my front burner (5 1/2-6 1/2" Calphalon, All-Clad, etc.).The Cooks Standard Multi-Ply Clad Stainless-Steel 13-inch Wok was the ONLY stainless steel clad wok that would work, as the part that actually touches the stove is exactly 7 1/2", then it gradually curves out from there.

3.I am also very impressed with the depth of this wok!It can hold a lot of food!

4.The pan is very well balanced, has a nicely shaped handle, and a wonderful helper handle!

5.And lastly, which I think is the most impressive about this wok, is the beautiful domed cover! What a showpiece, as well as a functional pan that is fun to cook in!The mirror finish on the cover, a well as the pan is just gorgeous!

Farberware P08-033 fry & sauce pan handle, long.

Farberware P08-033 fry & sauce pan handle, long.I had been struggling with a cracked handle on my Farberware fry pan for years. Finally, I solved that problem. This handle fit perfectly and was easy to install just a screwdriver.

Oh, but no new screw came with the handle. I had to use the original screw that came with the pan when I bought it. So don't throw the old screw away with the broken part. Just a warning.

This handle works great. My installation was a breeze once I heated the pan on the stove.By doing so the handle receptacle expanded and allowed for a perfect fit.Start by threading the screw through the handle and into the sauce pan until the handle just starts for its way into the receptacle for the handle. Then heat the pan until hot, add a few more turns to the screw, and repeat this process until the handle is completely seated into place.

This is a great way to keep from replacing the entire pan, and at a quarter of the price as well.

Buy Farberware P08-033 fry & sauce pan handle, long. Now

Part does not fit into mating square of pan without filing all four sides of the handle. Also, the screw hole is so far off, the head of the screw does not clear the wall of the pocket. I had to redrill the hole and grind the head of the screw.

If you need to replace the screw, it is a #10-24 x 1-1/2" long. I used a button head hex socket drive as my replacement. I recommend stainless because it will be going into the dishwasher. The new screw fit well into the old (broken) handle, but as I mentioned, the head would not clear the handle's pocket without rework.

I hope this is a knock off and not a Farberware product. Either way it will give them a bad name.

UPDATE: I called Farberware to complain about the quality of the handle and to see if I could get a replacement. They informed me that while it is likely their product, they have not made this handle for two years. Online vendors are working through their existing stock. I did find out that my pan was, remarkably after 25 years, still under warranty. So, I do have the option to return the entire pan.

FYI The Farberware rep informed me this handle was designed to fit their products made from the mid-70's through the late 90's. She gave me the exact years, but I do not recall what they were at this point. Good Luck.

I had a hard time getting this handle to fit onto my saucepan the angle was slightly different where the handle meets the pan. My Farberware is over 30 years old, so that may be why. The handle itself is well-made and looks good.

This handle does not fit the opening of my Farberware pan. I have been working on it all afternoon with a file to make it fit. I think I finally have it fairly close. Now, I have to find a screw because the handle did not come with a new screw and my old one is very worn. We'll see how that goes.

Paula Deen Signature Stainless Steel 4-Quart Fryer with Basket and Lid

Paula Deen Signature Stainless Steel 4-Quart Fryer with Basket and LidI purchased a basic starter set of the Paula Deen Stainless, Copper Bottom cookware set. The pans cook evenly, clean easily and look attractive so, I bought several other pieces for the set, including this deep fryer. The copper bottom distributes the heat evenly which is important for cooking, especially in a deep fryer. This fryer is also the perfect size. The only issue when you use the pan, the copper color changes. So, to get the shine back, you need to buy a copper cleaner to restore the shine.

This pot was wonderful. They do not make this quality anymore and anyone who is wondering about it, you won't be dissapointed!

She loves it.... She already had one Paula Dean pot and was very happy with the quality.

This pan isnt just a deep fryer but can be used as just a pan also.

Happy that I got it for her...

I finally got a deep fryer to make fish in and I am so happy. The only thing is I wish that it came with a thermometer because it takes the oil so long to heat up. (I'm using peanut oil like it suggested.) Other than that I love it. And btw, I did what it told me to do, as far as soaking the copper bottom in water and baking soda before using, and it still discolored when put on the fire. I'm not hanging it on display, so it doesn't matter to me anyway, just thought I'd mention it.
