I like this skillet because you can control the temperature instead of just on and off and it has a lid. Many do not have these features. The price was right and reasonable for what I was purchasing. I recommend this skillet whether you're a family and just want to make food for one person, or for a single person who doesn't need a big ol' thing to cook in. i purchased it for my widowed Mom and it was just the right size.

As another has mentioned, the temperature control on this unit is poor.It runs full-blast, shuts down, and then runs full-on again.The metal is thin and there is not enough metal to maintain latent heat in order to keep a good, consistent temperature.

Overall, the construction is poor, edges are rough, and the cord far too short.I wanted a small "one burger" grill and received this as a gift.I will donate it to charity.

As someone else mentioned, the lid is the best thing about the unit.

I bought this to melt encaustic wax.It is important that the wax not get above a certain temperature or it will be a fire hazard.I wasn't expecting pinpoint accuracy when I ordered this.I was expecting some sort of low, medium, high ability though.All I could get it to do was be on at 350 degrees, or off.

If all you are using it for is frying eggs or sausage, it will probably work fine.If you need the ability to control the temperature it might not work for you.
