UPDATE after 7 months of use: My microwave oven died a month ago. I have been using this 8" pan as my "go-to" pan. It can get used up to 5 times a day. Sometimes I just wipe it out and cook the next item. As stated before, I usually use 1-2 drops of olive oil spread around the pan. The pan has no chips or scratches, so I feel it is wearing well. It is not (and never was) as "slick" as teflon, but I have not problem with it's performance. I still love this pan.
UPDATE after 13 months the pan finally lost its non stick qualities. Eggs stick. I still use the pan for eggs realizing some is going to stick. It is still great for a couple chicken breasts or sausage. Pan needs to be soaked now to get it clean and eggs are VERY hard to get off.I chose this because it was so highly rated by both Consumer Reports and Amazon's customers.I have had the set of cookware less than 6 months and followed all directions for care.It has begun to chip around the top edges of each of my pans and skillet.Very disappointed because this is the first total set of cookware I have bought in all my years of marriage.Earth Pan II Nonstick SandFlow Cookware Set, 10-Piece, Bronze
