Good for use with the bowls or caserole dishes in which the plastic covers/lid have bent or cracked. It has to extend from the rim of caserole so it can have suction needed to stay in place but have to be careful that it doesn't get air in and it loses grip on bowl when you are storing it in frig. cannot place heavy item on top of it when storing, be careful.
