My original set of Bialetti pans purchased seven years ago at Costco were made in Italy, and I love them.This pan was ordered to replace one of the pans thatis used frequently and is showing its age.Unfortunately,not only isthe newpan made in CHINA, but the side wall and base plate thickness is thinner.My email inquiries to Bialettiremain unanswered to this day, so I have no choice but to believe that their quality appears to have degraded.Lookslike another corporation has succumbed tofarming outtheir product manufacturing, as well aszero customer service.Makesme wonderhow they would back up their so calledLifetime Warrantyif put to the test when they don't even bother to respond to a simple inquiry.Good news is thatAmazon quickly refunded my money when I sent this cheap product back.
This is a great pan. My friend bought me this set awhile back and it has been perfect. My son recently bought his first house so I went searching online to find the same set years later. I found it only from one vendor on Amazon, so I snatched it quickly! This pan didn't come with the set so I purchased it separately because I knew it would come in handy. Make sure to buy the 8inch pan as well, that is the one we use the most for eggs, grilled cheese, pancakes, etc.

This says it is a metal safe nonstick pan but what came clearly says it is not for use with metal utensils.
