I bought this skillet as a gift to mom on Christmas in 2011, and she literally uses it EVERY time she cooks on the stovetop, which is nearly every day/night. I have also used it many times, and I must say that I have never seen such a perfect and truly non-stick skillet. We fry rice in it and don't need to scrape anything out. Just tilt the skillet a little and 100% of of the rice slides right out without any help from a spatula. It's handled fried chicken, thick, boiling sauces and anything else you can think of that might normally stick, and no amount of scraping has ever been necessary for cleaning.
There isn't much else I can say about this except that it performs exactly the way it's advertised. My mom wants a second one of these and would happily toss all of her pots and pans for a full set. I can't knowingly say that this skillet will last forever, but it's still as perfect as it was nearly a year and a half ago when it was new, so I can't imagine it ever losing it's non-stick properties, or at least not in the next few years.
One thing I can't comment on is how the dishwasher might affect it. It doesn't fit in my mom's dishwasher, so it has always been washed by hand.
Considering the success my mom has had, you may want to wash it by hand instead of using a dishwasher, just because that's never been a problem for us.
And, of course, don't use metal cooking utensils when you can avoid it, and never submerge any hot pan in water unless it's your goal to destroy it.

I bought one of these recently at Macy's and I'm pretty unhappy with it because it is definitely not non-stick.Food sticks to it quite badly, even if I put a lot of oil in the pan.I have a very old teflon-coated aluminun pan with about half of the teflon worn away that has much better non-stick qualities.
