The plates work fine.My only beef if their size.If you grill up a 12 oz steak, that is the only thing that will fit on the plate.If I could do it over again, I would have bought bigger ones.Oh well.The wooden base works well with the plate.One other thing, and it is probably obvious.If you eat your steak from this plate, the knife will scratch the black off the plate fairly quickly.

This product was very cheaply made.The wood tray was already cracked upon opening the box.The product clearly lacks quality materials.

Thequality of the sizzling steak plate was great but I thought the trivet that held the plate was of poor quality.In fact, one of the trivets was split down the middle on receipt.Had no problem receiving a replacement.I just didn't like the inconvenience.

I was disappointed because the plates are very small.A medium size Ribeye or T-bone steak will hang over the sides and certainly no room left for a baked potato.
