This is, of course a perfect fit to the pan.The domed lid makes for a good moist cooking environment, and you can see what is going on inside.The black knob is easy to grab and does not get hot.I vacillated between this and the steel cover, which looks easier to store.I am glad to have this but would consider the steel cover if storage is a problem.

I got this for a 20 year old Scanpan that had its original lid broken.The design has changed a little over the years but it still fits the large fry pan and the stock pot.The quality is good and it is easy to clean.I expect it to last another 20 years at least.

The lid is well made and fits perfectly on the Scanpan.The best thing about it is you can see through it to check the cooking process without removing it.And the handle on top is stay cool, so you don't burn yourself in the process of removing it.And it cleans easily and quickly.The quality of the lid complements the extremely high quality of the pan that it was designed to fit.
