Green Cuisine 7 Inch Skillet with Non Stick Ceramic Coating

Green Cuisine 7 Inch Skillet with Non Stick Ceramic CoatingI received one of these as a gift, and I am blown away.I can't comment on how durable it is, since I've just been using it about a week, but the non-stick ability is just amazing.I've cooked eggs, stir-fry, and spaghetti sauce in it, and everything just slides right out.And clean-up is so easy since nothing sticks, a quick swipe with a dishrag and some soap/hot water, and it's all clean. No soaking necessary, and I don't find myself putting it in the sink to procrastinate cleaning it...I don't even fill up the sink.

I was looking for a "green" alternative to my teflon pans, which inevitably end up scratched and, therefore, dangerous.I have a great cast-iron pan, but it's a pain to clean and some things stick to it like crazy so it's not practical for scrambling a couple of eggs or a quick grilled cheese sandwich.I love this pan!

I plan to "baby" this pan as much as possible to avoid chips and scratches, but the surface does seem pretty durable.

Art & Cuisine Austral Series Aluminum Ceramic-Coated Fry Pan, Grey, 9.4"

Art & Cuisine Austral Series Aluminum Ceramic-Coated Fry Pan, Grey, 9.4'Doesn't look that great, the color is a little dingy and the non-stick coating doesn't perform as well as other ceramic pans we have. It tends to need a little more greasing and is tougher to clean.

There is about a one-inch x quarter inch area near the bottom of the pot where the colored finish didn't cover properly.Looks like it came off the assembly line that way.Guess that's the chance one takes when ordering on line.A slightly defective piece can be shipped with the hope that the person won't return it (the case with me). However, I am still disappointed that I was sent a less-than-top-quality pot.

This Tea ketttle is terrible. Not only is it hard to fill it but it is impossible to pour from it with out spilling. I have been trying for months and every time it drips. The price for the kettle is rightwe paid about 10 dollars. But we paid the same amount again for shipping, and by the time it was all said and done, we had paid a lot of money for a very lightweight kettle with a small dent in it.I could have gone to a local store and bought a better-quality kettle for the amount I paid for the kettle plus shipping. Before purchasing, check the shipping price.

No frills tea kettle does what it should until you try to pour the water out. The design of the lid handle means as you are pouring the water, the steam coming out of the hole goes right over the fingers that are holding the lid open. At some point in the design phase you really would have thought someone would have noticed their red scolded fingers and said "Maybe we should move the handle". Buy something else. There are a lot of no frills tea kettles that cost about the same without the lesson in steam vs flesh.

KitchenAid Hard Anodized Nonstick 9-Inch and 11-1/2-Inch Skillet Twin Pack

KitchenAid Hard Anodized Nonstick 9-Inch and 11-1/2-Inch Skillet Twin PackWell, I'm sorry to say that my Emeril pans from Calphalon finally failed. You know, the non-stick flakes off and adds that extra burst of chemicals to your food?!So, I bought this set and have been very thrilled with them.I do need to mention that the exterior is quite thin, thus making them very bendable which I think is quite weird for Kitchenaid.Yes, I am a Kitchenaid gal and love most of their products. The core in these is just excellent perfectly cooked food every time and nothing ever burns even on a cheap stove! Very, very pleased and they're cheap enough so that if they do decide to check out on me, they're easily replaced.Highly recommend!

These are very well made pans. They have a very hard teflon like surface.Nothing sticks! They are fantastic. This is my first time using the anodized cookware and I am sold on them.I want to add more to my kitchen. The old type surfaces begin to flake off after a short time.I was concerned about the health hazards from foods being cooked on these flaking surfaces.I usually had to replace my pans after only a year.I hope to get a lot more time out of this cookware. The handles on the pans are shaped to be comfortable in your hand and do not get hot.So, no potholder needed.

I love these!Got them as a gift and couldn't be more pleased.

This is the first set of frying pans I have purchased with the hard anodized coating. I was tired of the Teflon coated pans flaking and going bad. Evenhigh dollar Calphalon pan I bought only lasted a year before the coating was destroyed. I think this hard anodizing might be the solution for longevity.

The set has a nice feel with the rubberized handles and the pans feel decently well built and rugged. If I get 2 years out of them, it will be an improvement over the last few.

The quality of these pans is so superior to even more expensive brands I have used. They are truly non-stick and so easy to clean and care for.Plus food cooks up great in them.I love them and would buy them again!

Want KitchenAid Hard Anodized Nonstick 9-Inch and 11-1/2-Inch Skillet Twin Pack Discount?

the pans are great, but they don't have enough flat space. The 11 1/2 inch pan only has 8 inches of flat bottom. That means that if I have a fish fillet that is over 8", I have to cut it to in into smaller pieces to make it fit in this pan.It is not possible to cook as much as I want of anything that requires direct connection with the pan surface.Otherwise, I love it.The non-stick coating is terrific. You can fry and egg with no oil and it will slide right out.

These are great quality pans: heavy, well constructed, thoughtful design, etc.The handles are great (I am not a fan of the handles on the All-Clad stainless pans that I have).I prefer the stainless steel lids instead of glass lids as they are much easier to clean. The pans are not too big to fit multiple pans on the stove top at one time.I have to agree with the other reviewer, these pans are better than All-Cladin many ways. I have done a side-by-side comparison, and for me, I prefer the Royal Doulton.

This cookware is incredible!! Durable, easy to clean and cooks evenly. It is worth every penny. One point to remember when using this cookware: start at a lower temperature because the WHOLE pan heats not just the bottom. If you are a serious cook and like All-Clad, I think you will enjoy The Gordon Ramsay line as well.

Want Gordon Ramsay by Royal Doulton Stainless-Steel 10-Piece Cookware Set Discount?

Pros:

-The pieces are very solid, durable and made from true tri-ply.

-They heat very evenly and quickly, and hold their heat well.

-Easy to clean.

-They look beautiful and elegant.

-Pot/pan handles are solid and remain cool.

Cons:

-price (although comparably they are a good value).

other things:

Each pot/pan comes with a cloth bag.I not sure what to do with them, but if i have to move or travel with them, the bags will sure help. The handles on the lids (not the pans) will require a pot holder or towel when they get hot. The pans are relatively thick, and hold their heat well, meaning you can move something off the burner, and it will get a good amount of carry over from the pan.

Nordic Ware Smiley Face Pancake Pan

Nordic Ware Smiley Face Pancake PanUpdate: Costco has this one for $19 right now...don't know how long it'll have. So Hurry!!

It's very easy to use. Trick to flip the pancake: get one of those cute tiny mini spatula that is about the size of each pancake or even smaller so that it won't touch the adjacent one while flipping. Use it to lift the pancake slightly, then with help of a butter knife or spreader or little fork, flip it over...easy without problem. But the pattern shows well only one side of the pancakes, unless you use a batter that doesn't bubble too easily, then you sometimes could have a slight pattern on the other side after flipped.

One of my children insists that any pancakes be made using this pan! They are generally cute, and fun to eat.Overall this is a pretty good product.

As others have alluded, there are a couple things that require practice.

1)Amount of batter too much, and it "muffin tops" out, and glues all of the neighboring pancakes together.Too little and you get these odd not-quite-circles.Amount will vary with the quantity of leavening in your pancakes, so it's not a simple measure of "use X."

2)Flipping the darn things. You have to try to get an implement in under the edge to pick it up without gouging, breaking, etc. while also not scratching the non-stick surface.Several of the above suggestions work it's just a pain. Some sort of included implement would be a big plus.

Notes:A little cooking spray helps release the pancakes more easily, even though it is already nonstick. Also, I usually am simultaneously cooking regular pancakes, so rather than try to flip them back into this pan, I cook the other side on a griddle much neater.

Buy Nordic Ware Smiley Face Pancake Pan Now

This pan requires a lot of precision as far as how to oil the little faces, how much batter to use, and how to position the pan (I have a gas stove top).

Too much fuss for my liking, but the things we would do for our children...

We used this to make organic 7 grain pancakes.Only gave 4 starts since I found that it works better to flip into a 2nd flat sided fry pan. That method also speeds up the pancake production line.Flipping back into the same holes requires the skill of a ninja !

I ordered this so that I could make pancakes for my grandchild on her first ever visit. It was easy to use, didn't stick, and I simply flipped them onto a flat top griddle to do the other side. That allowed me to fill it again and have a little assembly line going. Love love love!

Rachael Ray Stainless Steel II 10-Piece Cookware Set, Orange

Rachael Ray Stainless Steel II 10-Piece Cookware Set, Orange ()The Rachael Ray Stainless cookware set is very pretty to look at and has performed quite well to date.

Pros:

Easy to clean (to date).I wish I could review this after 2 years instead of a month and a half.So far though, so good.

Attractive.Pots seem to hold the shine nicely.Orange color is nice.

Orange handle covers appear to hold up very well.

Cons:

The stock pot handles are pretty tight in to the body of the pot.You have to use pot holders when boiling water as it's too easy to burn your fingers.

The other bummer is that the handles are only oven-rated up to 350 degrees. So if you want to make a fritata in the oven, don't use these pans.

The Calphalon pots that we've used for the last 5 years are breaking down. Even though they're the regular pans (not non-stick), the coatings are wearing. It will be interesting to see how these do in 5 years.I wish I could give more help than what I've listed above.

UPDATE:

The nice orange handles do NOT last. They're breaking apart after just a regular amount of wear and tear.We are not hard on our pots and pans and yet, they're breaking apart. That was part of the appeal of these.Based on how they're wearing, I would no longer recommend these.

We just got an induction stove top and since we needed stainless steel cookwear we tohught this would be a great fit, WRONG! everything sticks even if you add non-stick spary, which is not ideal. We got them only 42 days ago and they are looking like we've had them for years. Yes ,they are easy to clean but they worp and look burnt and scracthed. would not recommend this item

()really nice looking & are very light weight holding them. The fluted edges on all the pans make them easier to pour from but looks a little weird. I have arthritis in my hands so I had to give away my magnalite set as they were just too heavy for me to hold empty. These really washed up nicely & nothing stuck. I even scalded milk on purpose and it virtually wiped right out. I had to try them for the review but I keep the farberware set I got & gave these to a grandaughter getting ready to be on her own. She didn't mind that I tried them and she loved them. The glass lids are a real plus to be able to see when something starts to simmer with it covered. The handles make it so easy to hold them without slipping in your hand & they stayed cool.

()The Rachel Ray Stainless Steel II Cookware set includes a variety of pots and pans suitable for use by anyone from single home cooks to a family of up to four. The stainless steel performs well, heating evenly and quickly (which are really the biggest benefits to stainless). The grips (which are a louder tint of orange than the pictures indicate) do a great job of insulating your hands from cooking heat conducting through the handles.

As others have mentioned, they can be extremely tough to keep clean, but that's part and parcel with any stainless steel it's not non-stick, people! That said, I don't like to see stainless being pushed on novice home cooks who would likely be happier with a non-stick cookware set.But they see these shiny gorgeous pans on cooking shows and just have to have that look well, take a picture, because the first time heat and food hits these, that look is forever lost.Frankly, stainless is meant for performance over looks, and for that reason, belongs more in a restaurant kitchen than the average foodie's kitchen.

Overall, this cookware set is affordably priced and performs well, with some great additional ideas that more expensive sets miss such as insulated handles and glass lids. But the caution is that stainless steel may not be the right material at all for many home cooks.Do your homework before buying.

Want Rachael Ray Stainless Steel II 10-Piece Cookware Set, Orange Discount?

()I love to cook, always have.Between mom and grandma, I grew up learning all the "tricks" of the trade. You are as likely to find me in the kitchen during the cold winter months baking up a holiday treat or working on a new recipe just as likely as you are to find me working on my cars during the warmer months. It's a "hobby" that people seem to have forgotten about in our modern times -good, old fashioned home cooking!

Yet, despite my love for the kitchen there was a problem; my hate for the cookware!Oh I've tried it all over the years.Everything from the cheapest of the cheap to some of the more expensive pots and pans.Yet time and time again they let me down. They either didn't hold up to repeated use; started to rust and/or tarnish; heated food unevenly; etc, etc.It was a nightmare.Having working in a restaurant in college I longed for the days when I had restaurant quality pots and pans to use -but, alas, my budget couldn't afford that!

So when I got the chance to try out these Stainless Steel pots and pans from Rachael Ray I was cautious, but willing to give them a shot.To be honest I had used the teflon coated equivalent also offered under the Rachael Ray name and was less than pleased. However, I went into this experiment with an open mind -let the cooking begin!

First and foremost, I decided to whip up dishes that really tested the ability of this cookware.Everything from pasta to stir fry and everything in between. For those of you not used to cooking with stainless steel you must remember that you have to use oil to keep food from sticking and that stainless steel tends to conduct heat a little faster than other materials you may have used in the past.

I was impressed with how evenly this cookware distributed heat.No hot spots, no wild temperature swings.Everything heated up uniformly and a bit quicker than what I was used too.+1

Next, the weight of the pans was tested. There is nothing more aggrevating than having to chase pots and pans around the stove because their weight is not distributed evenly.I am pleased to say that even with the smallest pot I had no problem keeping it in place and able to stir the contents with chasing it around and around.+1

Cleanup was the next adventure -and some of you know that cleaning can be a real chore. Now I have to be fair here, a lot of the "effort" you will put into cleaning any pot or pan has a lot to do with how you use it.If you turn the temperature up to the maximum and let things burn or boil over -well, you have your own situation to deal with there. However, if you cook things properly and keep an eye on things as they cook you will be pleasantly surprised at how easy these guys are to clean.I use a no-scratch ScotchBrite pad and so far I've been happy with the ease at which they clean.Sure, you have to use a little elbow grease now and then but after multiple uses these guys still look as good as the day I took them out of the box.+1

For this car guy who also loves to fool around in the kitchen this cookware has been a blessing.I have no doubt that a year from now I'll still be enjoying it and have high hopes that my search for the "perfect" pot and pan has finally ended -sure, you could get better with restaurant quality, but for the price point and features this set offers, why spend the extra money?

Yum!

Farberware Millennium Stainless Steel Tulip Series 10-Piece Cookware Set

Farberware Millennium Stainless Steel Tulip Series 10-Piece Cookware SetThis set is not only functional and durable, but gorgeous as well. I debated over the T-Fal version but it has hollow handles. These have solid handles. The stem handles on five of the pieces DO NOT get hot. The grips on the lids and the 8-qt pot do get a little warm. I was amazed that this set actually is advertised to work on induction cooktops. All pieces do work wonderfully on induction cookers, while the Cuisinart set I ordered did not, and was sent back. I love how evenly the set cooks and how well made it is. I have no doubt this set will get passed along to my children when I go to the big kitchen in the sky. Their children will probably be receiving it too, in due time.

After much research on stainless cookware, I finally settled on the Farberware. The pricing on the Millennium set

was well under what I was willing to spend, so I also looked at the higher priced sets. It turns out that those higher priced pots & pans didn't have any apparent advantages over the Farberware at all. In fact, the Farberware looked to be of better quality than some sets costing 30-80 dollars more.

These pots & pans are of good weight, they are stout, but not overly heavy and the highly polished outside surfaces are beautiful. The insides of the pots & pans are of a satin finish, with the degree of finish slightly varying from pan to pan. I was concerned that the pans with the coarser finishes may be prone to having food stick on the bottom, but it was worry for nothing, the pots and pans were problem free. The heavy glass lids are nice, but the lid handles get very hot, very quickly. The handles of the pots & pans themselves also get hot, so I'd recommend using an oven mitt when holding on to either handle. It was the issue of the hot handles that caused me to drop them to a 4 star rating, I'd give all other aspects of the product 5 stars. Besides the one minor problem, Farberware has produced a very fine set of cookware.

I noticed that most of the 1 & 2 star reviewers all had the same issue, they complained that everything they tried to cook would stick. Well, cooking on stainless is much different than cooking on non-stick. I believe the unhappy buyers of stainless are expecting bare steel to act like Teflon and that's just not gonna happen. If you're going from Teflon to stainless steel, you'll need to adjust your heat setting to lower than what you are used to and use at least a little oil. DO NOT use PAM or other spray cans of anti stick coating, it'll just make an ugly mess of your pan.

The bottom line?? If you want a stainless set for under $100, this is it.

I've used a variety of cookware including some all copper for sugars & hot syrups.

These pans did exceptionally well for a stainless set in having even heat distribution.(Something you rarely see in stainless).

Love the easy cleanup and if we avoid all metal utensils we shouldn't experience any sticking problems in the future.

So far I can't see a negative to this set other than the lids have no vents. Just a preference issue. Great weight great rivet construction. These will be passed on I'm sure.

I bought these pans because I was tired of cheap nonstick pans chipping into my food.I am not by any means a health-nut but the thought of eating slippery little chemical flakes was not appetizing.I also bought this set because it was beautiful and only cost about one hundred dollars.

At first I was really disappointed.EVERYTHING stuck to the pans.Even things like grilled cheese.I can't stress enough the importance of seasoning these pans.Heat the pan up empty until water droplets dance in the bottom. Then pour in your choice of oil (enough to cover the bottom.)Let it heat until it starts smoking slightly. Then turn off the burner and let it cool to room temperature.Pour off and discard the oil.Wipe out the pan with a paper towel.

Cook a fried egg.Pretty awesome, huh?I was amazed to be able to cook omelets and scrambled eggs with out making a burnt on mess. You can make a fried egg slide around the pan.If you clean the pan with soap or water you will have to re season it.

I have had these pans for about a year now and they all look like new.To avoid discoloration, buy some bar cleaners friend.

I have only ever cooked on non-stick pans but I have heard so much about the risks I was ready to switch. My biggest concern was that things would stick, I heard eggs were particularly bad. I haven't owned the set long but I cooked a couple things that normally would stick for me, bulk sausage and eggsI had absolutely no problem with sticking. I turned the heat down and it was SO even. The pot of pasta was swirling and turning so nice that none of my pasta stuck together. I have never seen that before it was great! I am so happy with this purchase.

Paula Deen Traditional Porcelain 10-Piece Set

Paula Deen Traditional Porcelain 10-Piece Cookware Set, Purplei wanted paula deen cookware because my neighbor has owned a set for two years and she swears by it! her pots and pans are still incredibly non-stick and they really do look brand new. so I found this GREAT deal on amazon for the purple set and decided to splurge even though my cookware was fine. I am sooooo glad i did! this is way better than my old cookware. the deep purple color is very pretty in my kitchen. I love the rubberized grips on the handles and the lids, they are very comfy! the lids all fit on great. the non stick surface is really worth the price! and my favorite part about them is how light they are! I love not having to strain to get the big pot out of the cabnet. they are very durable too, don't think that because they are lightweight that they are weak.. cuz they are not! I would recomend any paula deen cookware.

I am very disappointed with the teflon interior coating, it is peeling.I received this set for Christmas and I have only used the Rosti basic kitchen tools that came with them, so I don't like that the interior is already peeling. They have all been hand washed, never in the dishwasher.I am very disappointed.
