Norpro Non Stick 4-Egg PoacherI purchased two of these pans a couple months ago and used them with great excitement at first.The poacher fits easily in several of my pans and cooks the eggs evenly.As time has gone by, I noticed that the center of both pans began to rust as the center (where the handle connects) is not coated well.Second, the non-stick coating is very sensitive.While I should have followed this rule from the beginning (my fault), you should avoid using metal items to remove the cooked eggs.I used a metal spoon to scoop out an egg, and it chipped away at the coating.I still use the non-scratched pan regularly; I just have to be careful to clean the rusted area.



This fits perfectly in my pan, and I finally can make eggs without having to grapple with a spatula or use disgusting amounts of cooking oil.Good product, speedy delivery.

I had been wanting an egg poacher for a long time and was a little suspect of something with such a low price, but decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did. The handle in the center makes it easy to take it out of the pan when the eggs are done. The eggs slide right out (I use a little cooking spray) and are perfect every time. I'm glad I didn't buy a more expensive product because this one works perfectly at a perfect price. This time I didn't get what I paid for, I got more.

The fact that you need to take the whole piece out of the water once the eggs are ready and it makes it a little more work since it is very unlikely you will make 4 eggs at a time. Other then that I use it a lot and it works great

2/21/12 I've used this now for Shabu Shabu a number of times, and I must say that my only complaint is that I'd like it to be slightly larger, but that's really not the fault of the pan, but more how much crap I throw in the pan when I make it, so this is an individual difference that shouldn't apply to the rating of the pan. Also, because the pan has an opening in the middle to allow heat to pass through the pan, it does make it slightly difficult to get solid items out if you don't have the right kind of spoon.

However, with all that said, this is a great and attractive pan for use with Shabu Shabu or Sukiyaki. Purchase without hesitation. I marked my review up from 4 stars to 5, especially considering the other pans out there look like doodoobutt.

7/16/11 Have yet to use this pan, but since there was a lack of reviews, thought that I would share what I thought about this pan. First, the instructions are in Japanese. Second, the pan is relatively nice, but a little light. I'm not sure how well it will retain heat, but it shouldn't be too much of an issue. It does have metal handles on both the lid and the pan itself. They aren't super cheap, but they aren't also super heavy. This pan seems to be pretty middle of the road in terms of quality. Nordic Ware Superior Steel 8 Inch Saute PanI disagree wholeheartedly with the other review; not only is Nordicware the best saute pan I've ever used; It has better a non-stick surface than any other piece of cookware I've ever used; baking pans, roasting pans included.

It looks great; it has a beautiful look; however, works extremely well. The handle never heats up, despite it being all-metal. Thanks to this lovely feature, I can also use it in my oven twice a week. :D It is also American-Made and a tremendous value. I wouldn't trust anything from China that touches my food for a second. It's not safe.

I would not purchase this pan again. It was supposed to be durable and non-stick. I was very dissatisfied with it's performance.

Nordic Ware Superior Steel 14 Inch Saute PanThe pan seems to be a little shallow and a little lightweight but it has not warped or failed me. In general, reviews of less expensive pans suggest that the nonstick surface wears off over time.I will not feel bad about replacing this pan when the time comes because it was reasonably priced. It looks like you need to get into the $200 to $300 range to get a really high quality pan. For the price, this one is an overall good deal.



The metal on this pan is way too thin. When on my largest burner and on low heat, the bottom warps and is no longer flat. It begins to rock on the burner. The heat transfer is also horrible. The center of the pan burns the food, but the edges don't even cook. This pan might be ok for a sauce that you have to constantly stir, but is horrible for anything that has to sit for even one minute. One star is one too many for this pan. I sent it back.

Great item. It is well made. Used it the first day for Christmas brunch. It allows you to prepare A LOT of food. The only thing I was surprised at how heavy it is. It takes two hands to lift it.

Culinary Institute of America Masters Collection 10' Sauté PanPurchased this recently and after two meals I already know it's the best sautee pan I've ever owned. It's weighty but not unwieldy, feels great, and spreads heat perfectly. It's also already responsible for the best omelette I've ever made and is in immediate full use as it's a huge upgrade from "the usual". With a lifetime warranty, I doubt I'll ever own another sautee pan.

I recently started getting serious about cooking and decided it was time to upgrade my cookware. After doing considerable research I was settled on allclad. I am glad i went to a store and picked up the pan first. after picking up the allclad pan i felt it was a quality pan but the handle was quite uncomfortable compared to the cia pan.

this is the best pan I own. It is a beautiful piece of cookware. It sits on the top of my stove begging for me to heat it up until the oil begins to shimmer and toss in fresh sea scallops until they are a beautiful golden brown.

It cleans up easily, heats evenly, can be transferred from the stovetop to under the broiler,andbecause it isnt nonstick you can produce a nice fond after cooking a protein that can be deglazed and turned into a nice pan sauce.

Buy with no remorse. I recommend this brand to anyone interested in investing in quality cookware. I plan on replacing most of my old nonstick with the rest of the Masters collection line.

Anolon Ultra Clad Stainless Steel 8' SkilletI was hesitant to pay this much for a single skillet, but I decided to take a chance. I'm extremely happy with the purchase. The skillet is very thick and heats evenly. I use it mostly for cooking eggs & omelets. It's not coated with a non-stick material, but a small amount of butter or cooking spray goes a long way. The 8" skillet works well for 2-egg and small 3-egg omelets, but anything bigger would requite a larger skillet.

As far as I'm concerned, this skillet was worth the price. I don't think I could get a skillet as thick and even-heating for less money.

Every time I tried frying or sauteeing something with this pan, regardless of adding oil, the item sticks to the pan. I tried seasoning the pan and it doesn't matter. The curve of the pan is also awful for sauteeing items.

Not worth it at all.

OXO Good Grips Brushed Stainless Steel TurnerI was tired of nylon and other plastic spatulas and turners. Most of them have a thick edge and are not sufficiently stiff to really scrape something out of a pan. Using a cheap plastic turner to flip hash brown potatoes in my cast iron pan resulted in a melted edge on the turner and bits of potato still stuck to the pan.

This stainless steel turner is the answer to that problem. It is stiff and heavy duty enough to handle pretty much any turning duty in my kitchen. If you need a flexible turner, this is not it. It has a non-slip material inserted at the holding end of the handle that makes it comfortable to hold. However, if you need to "choke up" on the grip and hold it closer to the turner you will be holding the edges of the turned over steel, which is not very comfortable. Being stainless steel, I don't have to worry about leaving it leaning on the side of my cookware and having it melt. The handle is a good length long enough to keep your hand away from the cooking surface but no so long as to make using it awkward. I used it to get the cookies off my cookie sheets and it worked okay for that, even if the edge could be just a little bit thinner to get under the cookies.

If you are looking for a stainless steel turner, this is a good one.

I'm simply thrilled with this turner. It is gorgeous (I display it, when not using it, in my Calphalon stainless steel utensil crock), and the best quality turner I've ever owned. The brushing of the steel will help to make any scratching that occurs from usage less noticeable than if it were polished steel, but so far I haven't had a single scratch appear during usage! It is solid and durable-feeling without weighing a lot, VERY comfortable to hold and use, and thin enough to be able to easily get under anything you need to turn or scrape. I mainly use it with my Corning Ware or glass bakeware that gets too hot from oven use to use nylon utensils. I LOVE this turner! WELL WORTH the money spent!

Anolon Professional Hard Anodized Nonstick 12-Piece Cookware SetWe registered for this cookware as a wedding gift.We love the tempered-glass lids so we can see what's cooking.The pans have a nice substantial feel and work well with our smoothtop range.The stay-cool riveted handles are great.

At first we loved the nonstick coating, it did what it was supposed to do.However, we have had the pans for less than three years (2 years 8 months) and the nonstick coating is already beginning to come off.We have followed the directions for care and cleaning, and not used any metal utensils on them, so I am very disappointed that the coating hasn't lasted longer.We do cook frequently with high heat, but on a good set of cookware that shouldn't make the coating come off this quickly.There are little hairline scratches (probably from stir-frying shrimp or steaming shellfish) where the coating is now beginning to clump up and rub off when we wash it.

It's sad, because we cook a lot, we love this cookware and were hoping it would last us a long time.Looks like I'll have to replace some of our frequently-used pieces, and this time I'll be going without a nonstick coating.



I shopped around quite a bit before finally settling on this set and I am very pleased with my purchase.I don't understand a lot of the complaints.

The fact that the set is a bit heavy is a plus in my book, not a minus. I would have been greatly disappointed if they would have been light and flimsy. I checked out a few different good sets at bed, bath and beyond before buying on-line, and I didn't think any of the big name brand hard adonized sets were any lighter than these.

One of the big selling points for me for this set is the fact that they are oven safe to 500 degrees.I have a few recipes I use all the time that start out on the stove and then move into a 375 or 400 oven, or finish under the broiler and this set can take that.Some of the others I compared have handles that won't take that kind of heat.Despite the metal handles, I am very happy that they don't get hot on the stove.

I don't put my pots and pans in the dishwasher because my family of five fills up the dishwasher too quickly, so handwashing is no problem for me either.They wash so easily anyway, and I have never had a problem with food sticking to the rivets where the handle handles attach.

I bought this set at a very discounted price here at Amazon and am thrilled with the purchase.Cooking is so much more enjoyable with great tools.

I haven't had mine as long as some of the others here, but so far they are holding up just fine.I use them every day, and if they do end up looking a bit worn any time soon, I will still be satisfied that I got more than my money's worth.

Although I ONLY hand washed these pots and pans, somewhere between the 2nd and 3rd year, the nonstick coating on the pans started lifting.I also do not use metal cooking utensils.

All that being said, I still use these pots and pans (been almost 5 years now).

Overall, I originally bought this set for ~$300 5 years ago.The pots are still in excellent condition. If I was looking for pots and pans, I would consider purchasing another set at $150.

I do cook a lot (used for business) so my 5 years with these pans may equate to 7-10 years of normal use.

My experience mirrors that of "Bluekitten." In less than three years, a couple pieces (the most heavily used) began to totally lose their nonstick ability, even after careful adherence to cleaning/use guidelines. I suspect it was from heat: The pieces that fail have been used periodically with up to, oh, 75 percent heat on my gas range (NEVER full), and they were the ones to fail.

Unlike one previous reviewer, I found Anolon's customer service to be fine. I had no trouble finding their address, and recently shipped one piece back for warranty service. Anolon replaced it with a comparable piece from the new "Advanced" line, as I suspect they're not making this line anymore.

All things considered, it's nice cookware, but seems very sensitive to excess heat. If you're a patient cook who can happily wait for the pan to get to cooking temp at half-blast or less (it will, in time), this set would be fine for you.

I also found the pans to stain and discolor very quickly on the outside. Given that, if I was shopping for a new set today, I'd go with the Advanced series -which has nonstick coating inside AND out, likely prolonging the nice look of the cookware.

The manufacturing is decent. The non-stick is great at first, but if it ever scratches, it all goes downhill. Most non-sticks from good manufacturers only seem to last a good 2-3 years of use. Less if you're using somewhat abrasive cleaning pads and throwing into the dishwasher. I must admit that I fall into the latter sometimes and just lack the detail to wash it by hand and get lazy and throw it into the dishwasher. They still lasted me a few years even when doing so.

As for warranties, whether it's Calphanlon, Analon, Circulon, etc...it's not worth the shipping to get the pan back. Heck, the set here is now only $135. For that price, you could buy two sets, use one set for 3 years, toss it and then use the next set for another 3 years. I've sent woks back to Calphalon and the costs and downtime are just too great.

The 'care' for non-sticks are a joke. If you read the reviewer below, it basically means, don't use if you don't want the non-stick to peel. if you want to stir fry, sear or pan fry with high temps, it's not recommended on non-sticks as the temperature is very high.

Lodge Cast Iron 7-Stick Cornstick PanFrankly, when I am lazy, I whip up a batch of cornbread (yeah, yellow cornmeal, so sue me you Southerners, and I even use those cheap mixes when really pressed for time.) And I pour it into any handy square or round cake pan and cut it up for meals.

But...let's say you are serving guests and want some cornsticks to go with that chili. If you season this pan according to directions, and even throw out the first batch of sticks, (give them to the dog, he won't mind)you will eventually get a pan that lets you make lovely, brown, tasty cornsticks that look very nice served with a simple meal. Don't skimp on the oil or melted butter in the batter, and watch the sugar--it causes them to brown too fast if you overdo it.

Set these out in a nice basket and you won't feel so bad about serving chili from a can or the soup you threw together in a panic to get that hot meal on the table. Whew!

I have always liked Lodge cast iron pans and this one is no exeption. This is a heavy well made pan that with proper care will last for generations.

The key to using a cast iron pan is to properly season it and keep it seasoned. For this pan, I rubbed it with melted Crisco and baked it for an hour at 400, then let it cool slowly in the oven. This should create a beautiful glossy black finish; if not, do it a second time and again whenever the seasoning has worn off. Always hand dry a pan like this, never let it air dry or it will rust.

I have never had a problem with cornbread sticking. I preheat the pan and then pour the batter into it. I use a small ladle for this and leave the pan right on the oven rack. When the cornbread is done you just flip it right out onto a plate. The only drawback I have had is that I usually have to make a few pansful of cornbreads sticks for them to last through dinner.

I come from a long line of Texas cast-iron users. Both my grandmother and my mother had these little cornbread cookers. Both my grandmother and mother could get their cornbread sticks out (with the exception of one stuck stick each time, don't ask me why........), but I never could.

Having said that, their PREFERRED mode of cornbread baking was in the small, cast-iron skillet ----and I agree.

The cornbread sticks are cute, though.

Cornbread is a staple where I'm from in Louisiana, so you can imagine how IRKED people get when I say I'm not really that nuts about it.I have to clarify my position, though: I'm not really that nuts about cornbread unless it's baked in a corn stick (or pone, as we call em) pan.

Cornbread cooked in a skillet or baking pan is soft; even cakey if you use enough white cornmeal and sugar.But corn pones are crispy... they fracture in the most wonderful way when you bite into them and have the BEST texture.I make a big batch of them and keep them in a sealed container on the counter for a day or two, and then refrigerate the unlikely few that may survive after that.They're also perfect for throwing into lunch bags, too.

Be sure to season your pan (rub with vegetable or corn oil, bake for an hour, then let cool overnight) or you WILL have problems with sticking.Also be sure to oil your pan before each use, especially at first.The more you use cast iron, the more non-stick it becomes, but proper oiling is critical at first.My current pan is decades old, but I still brush the wells with a little bacon grease before each use and preheat it along with the oven while I make my batter. (We rarely eat bacon but I "bank" the drippings specifically for making cornbread.)The cooked pones practically fall out of the pan, and the hint of bacon in the crust is insanely delicious.

Another user said that she found filling the individual corn-shaped wells tedious; I use a large serving spoon to pinch off just enough batter to fill each well.The bowl of the spoon I use is big and long; its shape matches really well with the width of the pan so the patter pours perfectly into the wells.It's a snap, and it's CERTAINLY worth the flavor and texture of corn pones!

I was on the search for a great non stick pan and browsed the web. I had not heard of Nordic Ware, but it came recommended. I looked it up, and while there were few reviews on Amazon I decided to try it. Upon receiving it, I had to cook something in it! The heat was very evenly distributed given I have an older model electric stove top (which is gives all my pots and pans a run for their money). Food DID NOT stick to it, it has a bumpy texture that stops anything from sticking. It is not the "teflon coated" that I am used to, but it performs better than any teflon coated pan that I've used. Given that I received this about 2 weeks ago, I cannot speak on the durability. However, the pan screams quality when you open it up and it has no rivets anywhere to get food into. Super easy to clean!

I've had this skillet for about a year now, I purchased it to replace an old teflon pan. I was looking for something that was made in the USA but wouldn't break the bank. This one fits the bill! Years ago I bought a Caphalon "nonstick" pan ($$$) that ended up in the garbage in about a year. Since then I have been getting the "cheap" ones and replacing them every few years. I absolutely love this skillet. It doesn't have teflon, it's some sort of textured surface but it is definitely nonstick. This pan is deeper on the end with the handle makes flipping omelets etc. very easy. Cleans up in a snap. Very well made. I have recommended this to my sisters. Will definitely purchase similar products.

I have only had this pan for a couple of weeks, but have used it at least daily, often more.It has an textured cooking surface which releases foods fairly well, and is easily cleaned.The pan is cast so there is no place of food to get stuck between the handle and the pan very nice!

Honestly though it is only time that will tell whether this is a durable pan, but the other reviewers seemed to indicate it is.I will re-post after 6 months.

December 2012 Update This pan had seemed to lose it non-stick qualities.I tried cleaning, and scrubbing (with safe scrubbers) all to no avail.I decided as a last ditch effort to try to re-season the pan, and it seems to have worked.Otherwise this pan has been fine, and heats evenly.

Will update as needed.

Tools of the Trade Belgique Stainless Steel Covered Frying Pan, 9.5'I bought this on Ebay, new, but without the lid. The first use, all the food stuck and I figured I wasted my money. Couple weeks later, I tried a generic spray on canola oil. That was the trick! I am using it over and over again, with superior cooking results. The clean up is extremely simple. You either wash it out, or take a paper towel or napkin, and wipe it out. No food stains after several uses. The outside still looks like a mirror, and the silicone bottom of the handle makes it a dream to pick up. Even after several uses, it still looks new. I am definitely getting another one. I don't usually write reviews on anything. I just had to say something about this pan, to let others know how great it is.

Unison Nonstick Lid Set.I bought these to use with a warehouse deal item on an 8" and 10" fry pan set.These are very nice, sturdy lids.Unfortunately, the fry pans were 8" and probably 10-1/4" as the lid was slightly smaller than the fry pan but the lid did measure 10".I will keep these as I can use them with other pans.They are nicely made and I like the glass lid to see what's cooking in the pan.

The lids fit wonderfully and I love that I can see through them.Unfortunately one was damaged at the weld and that was a disappointment.It isn't severe enough to warrant sending back but it keeps me from giving the product 5 stars.

This grill has a temperature control that ranges from Warm to 440 degrees.The glass lid is a great feature because it allows the flavor to stay in the food.I have cooked chicken leg quarters, chicken breast, pork chops, wings, boneless chicken breast, and much more.When cooking with this grill you can cook meats with both bones and that are boneless.Putting vegetables on the grill is an added bonus.There are many nights where I make my entire meal on the grill, vegetables included.

Basically what I am trying to say is that this product is by far the best. Don't hesitate in buying this product it is worth the money.

I rate this FusionGrill with 5 stars plus. We tried different foods and grilled them at the same time.We grilled Italian Sausage, Pork Chops, Cubed red potatoes with cut up green and red peppers and sliced onions.Everything was put on at the same time.We cooked this for close to an hour and the meat turned out so tender, I will never use a pan on the stove method again. The potatoes were par boiled first and then put in a pan and flavored with vegetable oil , parsley , garlic powder , salt and pepper and lightly tossed before putting on the grill. All I can say is this was the best eating experience our family has had in a long time.Speaking of time, this grill actually gave me time to entertain in my livingroom and not in my kitchen while the food was cooking on the grill. This was not as good as the other George Foreman products, like his XL and XXL skillets.What I like about his other products is that they let the fat drip off, so it is healthier.This product did not deduct from the fatas well as i thought it would.This is the same price as the XL skillet,and I think that the XL skillet is a better product for the same money.

The skillet also had a better and crisper taste to the meat andvegetables that were cooked on it, instead of the not-so-crispy taste thatthe grill produced.If I would have the choice, I would have bought theskillet first, and saved my money for possibly another skillet!

I bought one of these Fusion Grills about 2 years ago, and I love it!I was waiting to find a good deal on it, and now that I have, I have ordered 3 more of them, one for each daughter for Christmas 2001!This is almost half of what I paid, and since I have ordered over $100 worth, there is no shipping!I also have one of the other George Foreman Grills, but I use this one way more!It has so many different things you can do with it, and drains the fat off wonderfully.We all eat way too much fat, so why not drain off what we can, since there is a great way to do it, with this product!I think it is going to make a great gift!

This item performs better than you would expect. The set up takes about a minute when you first get it out of the box. It's extreemly easy to keep clean and clean up. Putting the basting cup in the center of the grill was a really good idea, no more drips when basting, plus the flavor of the marinade continues to infuse, even when you are not basting.

Here's the really big plus. I cleaned this up with only two, small cheap paper towels. Nothing sticks to it. Just wipe it down and put it away. I did chicken with an herb marinade so it was full of debris when I was done, so this was a good test of the cleanup.

Highly reccomend.

Cooks Standard Multi-Ply Clad Stainless-Steel 10-Piece Cookware SetI don't know if you are at the same stage I was: I wanted to avoid the potential perils of non-stick coatings and yet felt a little apprehensive about using Stainless Steel.There are some very negative reviews for similar products, along the lines that they don't cook anything "right" and a jackhammer is required as standard cleaning equipment.You'll be pleased to know that neither could be further from the truth in my experience using this set (the Cooks Standard Multi-Ply Clad Stainless-Steel 10-Piece Cookware Set).While I don't deny that a select few may have had a negative experience, I hope this review will put your concerns to rest.

I am a first-time Stainless Steel user.I am not a prize-winning chef.I have recently switched to cooking whole-foods from scratch; and I mean recently.So I am not only behind on my cooking skills, but I've never used such high-quality equipment before (dollar-store plastic utensils, anyone?).The turning point came when I found little black bits of non-stick coating in my fresh batch of home-made refried beans.Very frustrating.I can't fault the coating because it was over seven years old.At the first sign of a scratch, non-stick cookware is supposed to be replaced.That's one reason why I was looking for a long-life, heavy duty cookware set with NO COATINGS TO SCRATCH.I read one study that said the fumes from non-stick coatings at high temperatures have killed birds in a lab.Nice.So I threw my "toxic" refried beans in the trash and let my hubby know I couldn't cook with the pot anymore.A week later he bought this set for me (at my recommendation)!I guess he likes my refried beans!

If you want to use this set proficiently and aren't used to stainless steel, you'll have to adjust--not lower--your expectations.It stands to reason that if this cookware is designed differently and made of different materials than the set you are used to, it is going to behave differently.If you want to produce the same results that you're used to, you'll have to adjust your cooking methods.It's actually not hard to do at all.Read the manufacturer's instructions for cooking and cleaning.Watch a couple videos on the web about how to preheat a pan and how to determine it is at the right temperature for pan-frying, etc.It will only take you ten minutes of watching/reading but it will save you from potential disappointment.If others use these sets with no problems, you can too; you'll have to be willing to learn and do what they did.It is exciting to learn a new skill! This is the perfect set for that; because the inner core extends all the way to the top of each pan, they heat up evenly, making it difficult to burn food; a good thing for a novice to know!

These pans look beautiful.The glass lids from my old set fit the pans perfectly, so now I have two sets of lids; I can use glass lids (from my old set) when I want to keep an eye on things, and stainless steel lids for oven cooking. I smile every time I pull these pans out of the drawer; they gleam at me every day!Who said diamonds are a girls' best friend?He/she obviously didn't cook!

I've used all the pans in the two weeks I've had them.I've pan-fried battered fish, salmon, scrambled eggs, taco meat, burgers, home-made Italian sausage, hard-boiled eggs, home-made spaghetti sauce, and dosas with no issues.I've made cream-of-garlic soup, mashed potatoes, spaghetti, and chicken noodle soup in the stock pot.I've used the little pot with the steamer insert for broccoli, green beans, and baby carrots (it's so nice to have brightly colored vegetables that are hot and still a little crisp).They all work brilliantly!

The pans have acquired some mild discoloration on the bottom (caused by use); I have a gas range so they are over an open flame.Bar Keeper's Friend is supposed to get that off so I'm not worried about it.I try to avoid commercial cleaners as much as I can: I have kept these pans otherwise spotless using a mild castile soap, baking soda for a mild discoloration caused by taco meat, and vinegar for a slight starch residue left by some rice.I haven't had any cleaning issues: I rinse the pans out with very hot water from the faucet as soon as I am finished with each and hand-wash them later with a dishrag and soap (the only thing I've had to scrub was a little residue from scrambled eggs: it came off with little effort).

As for sticking: no problems! I make sure to preheat the pan using medium-low heat.I use the preheating time to chop my veggies and prepare side-dishes, so these pans have actually "trained" me to be a better-organized cook.Once the pan is very warm on the edge, I typically reduce the heat to low.That's the great thing about these pans: I used to cook meals on a 6/7 on my gas range with the cheap non-stick pans: now I cook them on a 2/3!Talk about energy savings!The food is fully cooked but more MOIST!Everything tastes better.I told my stepdaughter not to tell my husband that: he'll just have to think I am improving dramatically!

The handles stay cool: the pans are weighty but not too heavy and are well-balanced.I love using them.I don't usually post reviews but I was looking forward to reviewing this product.I've recommended it to my family and friends.While there are higher-end stainless steel sets out there by other brands, they come with a $500-$1000 price tag.This set really is the best deal (at $163) out there with a much better quality than most cookware sets.I highly recommend this set: I don't think you'll be disappointed.It's a challenge to learn something new, but it has been a very rewarding experience.

Not sure about other people, but dropping 150+ on a set of cookware isn't something I do often and I want to keep it that way.So, with much research, I chose this Cooks Standard set over AllClad, Cuisinart, and Kitchenaid...with no regrets.

First, these pots and pans (and lids) look amazing out of the box, and even after a few weeks after using them.No blemishes, no weird stains or anything.We have some Bar Keepers Friend® Cleanser & Polish, but have yet to use it on these.They look so good, in fact, I feel a little bad when I stash them in a shelf beneath our counter-top stove.

They also cook quite well...no staining, no major sticking, great heat distribution, and, as the advertising says, the handle do NOT heat up, which is great.And, as opposed to my last set, the handles are very firmly attached, so they shouldn't be falling off anytime soon.(My last set some a cheap set, not stainless.)

The biggest drawback to this set, fortunately, is the box and associated papers/instructions that come with it.The entire set was made in China (stamped on the bottom of the pots and pans, along with "18/10 STAINLESS"), but all the writing (which reads like a sales brochure, which is awkward) read just like the same China factory worker that helped made the pan also had his hand in helping writing."Engrish" at its best.It's not terrible, and none of the writing is terribly important just seems like a company would proofread stuff a couple times before shipping it.

As I mentioned, I chose these over other brands.Over AllClad because I wanted a great set of pots and pans (which both provide), but I wasn't up for paying for "heirloom" quality that I my great-grandchild could pass down to his great-grandchild.Maybe I'm selfish like that, but if these are taken care of, they could at least last a generation or two.Selected these over KitchenAid Gourmet Distinctions Stainless Steel 10-Piece Cookware Set and Cuisinart 77-17 Chef's Classic Stainless 17-Piece Cookware Set for a couple reasons:(1)They're all made in China, even spending more money wouldn't have done much for the ol' USA.(2)They're all the rough equivalents of each other, but Cooks Standard had better pricing when I purchased.(3)Reviews and further research indicate that the other brands may have lessened the quality, and have had various quality control issues.Granted, it may be user error in the latter cases, but I'm not loyal to any brand more than the brand is loyal to me.My kitchen is perfectly happy with my Cuisinart Food Processor, Kitchenaid Mixer, and Cooks Standard Cookware set.

Would highly recommend these...haven't had a single problem with them.

It compared quite well to the highly reputable All-Clad 5000-9 Stainless 9-Piece Cookware Setsets, but with the significantly discounted price, it was worth the purchase.We added the 11" skillet with lid and now have a complete set worthy of our continually developing cooking interests and tastes.The whole purchasing and shipping experience was excellent. I have searched and researched pots and pans forever.I knew what I wanted but could not afford the high price.This was the only set I found that was multi ply under 400.The core goes up the sides, which is usually only found in very expensive cookware.The weight is also nice.Although I did find the smaller frying pan to be a bit too heavy on the handle side.This ment putting the handle a bit over the burner to even out the weight.This cookware does live up to its claim of no hot handles.Even when I had to put it nearer to the burner for the small pan, the handle stayed pretty cool.

My first test for any cookware...an egg.It cooked wonderfully!If you are not used to stainless it does take time to get used to.Medium heat!The outside does have a mirror finish, so be aware if.. you are tough on your cookware most likely it will scratch.Cleaned up great and dried to its new self.

I inspected each piece very carefully and found not one scratch anywhere.It came very well packaged and very fast.I'm a very pleased cook.

UPDATE:

It's now been a year and I was so impressed that I came back to edit my review.After all the abuse my family has put this set through, they still look brand new!I have put them in the dishwasher, scrubbed them ect.The mirror finish still looks great.

Nice set of Stainless steel cookware. Nice finish, good heavy solid feel. Purchased to use on a GE profile induction cook top/ range. Cast Iron has no buzz at fullpower. El chepo steel pots have a slight buzz at full power but are quiet at other cooking/ simmering levels. Cooks Standard multi-ply has a soft buzz that begins at medium power and is too loud at full power. My wife said, "yea, I can hear it in the dinning room." We choose to return these. They may be induction capable, however they don't actually perform correctly with induction fields. Perhaps the layers of metal are not well enough bonded and having internal vibration? Seems like it would be a great set with regular electric or gas range.
