Next Day Gourmet Black Silicone Pan Handle 6-1/4"L For 14" Fry Pans

I read the other reviews that are 1* for this handle, and it is all about the proper fit.This particular handle fits perfectly on my Mauviel 12" crepe pan Mauviel M'Heritage M150B 6526.30 12-Inch Round Frying Pan with Bronze Handle, and makes a huge difference:the handle gets so hot that it is almost unusable without the silicone grip.But the metal handle it fits on is flat and about 3/4" wide so if you have a wider pan handle this is not the one for you.To make the descriptions more useful these silicone handle companies need to better specify the dimensions of the handles they will fit it is very confusing otherwise...

The product description implies that this handle can be used with any pan, however, this handle is really only intended for a pan that has a thin, flat handle.

Also: don't get this handle thinking it could be used on a smaller fry pan, I did manage to get it to fit over the handle of an 8" fry pan but the silicone split after one use.

These handles will only slide over your metal pan handle if the handle is as thin and narrow as a butter knife.Nowhere in the description of these silicone handles does it say these are to be used specifically with the French pan set they sell. Very disappointed....
