Revere Polished Aluminum 12-Inch Nonstick Skillet

Revere Polished Aluminum 12-Inch Nonstick SkilletI had a 12-inch T-Fal skillet that was wearing out (was no longer sitting even on the stove, and the teflon was flaking) so decided to purchase a 12-inch Revere Ware skillet.I used Revere Ware skillets a number of years ago and found them to be of high quality. Not any more. When I received the 12-inch skillet I found that instead of perfectly round, it protruded towards the back where the handle attaches. Thus, any lids for 12-inch skillets would not fit. This is a quality control problem, as it was definitely not designed in, based on the unevenness of the protrusion. It was so obvious that I'm wondering if there is quality control done on these. Also the handle did not fit tight but jiggled a bit.On the plus side it is lightweight and it appears to have a good coating of teflon. One surprise is my old Revere Ware skillets were made in the USA.As one might have guessed, these were made in China.Somehow I figured that a skillet having Paul Revere's image on the bottom, along with the year "1801" might still be made in the USA.

I ordered this skillet even with the mixed reviews because I loved the previous one I have had for more than 10 years. This one is definitely not going to last that long. After one dinner use, the handle is already loose. It feels very flimsy compared to my old one.I will use it until it falls apart but I won't be replacing it with another one. This was such a disappointment.I just hope the teflon coating is not going to come apart as quickly as the handle. The teflon coating was the problem with my old one & I had to replace it.I am not getting any more w/teflon coatings & am sticking with the ss versions.

I received this as a Christmas gift along with the 12" lid.It was my first really decent skillet, so I didn't know what to expect, but it has really fared well in my kitchen.I make 1 dish meals for two, chicken parmesean, pancakes, anything really and clean up couldn't be easier. My one complaint is that it doesn't always cook evenly, so I'm constantly rotating. You don't need high temps to get quick results. As for the lid, the handle broke off shortly after getting it, so unfortunately, I need to buy a new one (which seems a little overpriced if you ask me!)But the price for this pan is worth what you get, a more-than-decent skillet for those "just starting off".

I got this pan hearing that RevereWare was a good brand. When I brought it back home to try out, the pan had warped within just a few weeks of using it.After doing a little more research, it seems that RevereWare products USED to be high quality but not really anymore.

I would not recommend this pan to anyone looking to get one.

Revereware used to be really good, now it's made in China and the quality is terrible. This pan was so out of round that my lid would not fit on it. And the aluminum was so thin and cheap. Just a lousy pan all the way around. I promptly sent it back. I gotgreat pan at TJ Max for $25. Amazon shouldn't even sell crappy merchandise like this.
