SOLID set of pots and pans. The first thing I noticed with this set is how well-made and sturdy everything feels. The lids all fit perfectly and the handles are stable and stay cool.
This is the most nonstick set I've ever used. Food doesn't really stick at all, even if I get distracted and leave something on the heat for too long.
Great style. I've always loved the old-school look of bronze pots and pans, and I'm glad to own a set of my own.
Solid selection of pots and pans. The only bummer is that I wish there was a larger high-sided saute pan. There is one included that's awesome, I'd just love to have a bigger one also.
I haven't owned this set for a long enough time to write about durability, but in the future I will update this review if I run into any issues.
Highly recommended if you're looking for a great set of long-term cookware.
()...they mean non-stick!
Hello beauties! I'm pretty much in love with this gorgeous set of cookware. When I had looked at the pictures I had expected to received pots and pans that were brown but upon receiving them (and admiring them!) I discovered they were closer to a champagne/blonde/brown color. I think they are very classy and beautiful!
But my favorite feature has been the non-stick cooking abilities. We have owned the same LAME pots & pans since we married 8 years ago. We have desperately needed to upgrade so when we discovered this set we were in love at first sight. After use and experience we (my husband & I) can both say we are STILL feeling love at first sight. They feel so sturdy and hardy, the lids fit perfectly and we love the handles. The shapes of the pans are not only sleek & good looking, but we're loving the high sides on the sauce pans, the fluted edges, and of course the beautiful finish.
The finish of these pots & pans just releases. These pans DEFINE non-stick. I feel like we paid our dues all those years with awful "just-married" pots and pans that were cheap. This set has really put our old ones to shame. They make cooking just more enjoyable, don't underestimate the power of GOOD cookware. Even making a grilled cheese sandwich for my daughter in these pans is a joy.
As to date we have now cooked several meals on this new cookware and every time we've been shocked at how easily food releases, how evenly they heat, and how sturdy and well-designed they are.
It is a beautiful set that we are not only proud to "show off" to guests, but happy to use when making our favorite stove-top recipes. Anolon is a first class brand, and this GORGEOUS set of cookware is absolutely perfect in our humble opinion.
UPDATE: After several weeks of frequent use, these pots and pans are still our favorite additions to our kitchen. We love using them to cook. I also wanted to add that we have been so happy with the way these pots clean up after use. The non-stick finish works so well that we NEVER have to scrub and scrape them. Once we're done cooking, any leftover residue in the pans (burnt on or not) simply slide out into the sink or trash. Since we have to hand-wash these pots & pans, we are really loving how well they clean up after use. I'm also happy to report no chipping or scratching, despite having knocked them against other cookware a few times now.

()I'm a long time Calphalon Hard Anodized Commercial aficionado. I picked up a pretty complete set of the original here on Amazon as they phased it out 8-10 years ago at ridiculously cheap prices. I've used it ever since and am still very happy with it. I had the opportunity to test this Analon set though and it was too good a chance to pass up.For the time being I've retired the Calphalon to the basement (the original stuff seems to last forever and I can always go back) to give the Analon a fair shake. I had one small non-stick Analon (3/4 qt?) pot I picked up a long time ago and it still looks brand new so I'm well disposed to the brand. I do treat my cookware with the proper respect it deserves. No metal tools, no dishwasher, no steel woolI only soak if need be and use mostly nylon, silicone, or wood tools. If you want your expensive stuff to last that really is the best way. Once you make that conversion and change your habits it's pretty easy.
The set is impressive coming out of the box. It has a good heft and feel. While the bronze might not be the best fit with my decor, it's nicely subdued and doesn't seem like it would be one of those colors that will look dated in a couple of years. It's easy to do online research on the non-stick coating it hasDuponts Signature2. If you're uptight about non-stick or aluminum cookware you probably shouldn't be looking at this or any similar set. I don't think there's anything I've seen that indicates there's any problem with a set that used and maintained properly. I suppose it's possible like with any tool to damage or melt it into slag if you're not careful-but you're much more likely to get into a car accident than have cookware related health issues imho.
The non-stick surface is one of the best I've seen.Read the directions. Just to be clear, read the directions. Different cookware and different surfaces are as different to cook with as electric vs. gas stoves. The best way to cook with these if you're looking to get a "sear" is to bring the pan up to heat, then add your oil/spray, then add your food. You can get a sear and you can deglaze if you read the instructions.
I can't speak to the durability of this set yet. I've only used it a few times so far, but it still looks like I just unwrapped it.I have some iron fry pans from my grandmothers that I'd like to pass down, I expect I'll be able to pass on most of the Calphalon too (the non non-stick at least). It will be interesting to see how long this non-stick surface lasts. The claims would seem to indicate a very long time, but I don't know if non-stick has reached the point of becoming an heirloom.

()I thought I had some decent pans before, but my old pans are being quickly replaced by my new bronze beauties.I have been very pleased with the pans' performance so far.My scrambled eggs came out perfectly cooked with no need for any oil and cleaned up super easy. The saucepans have tall sides that have come in handy in that everything stays in the pan and, again, clean up is a breeze. With everything I have cooked so far, the handles stayed cool and were very comfortable to handle, for example I didn't need a potholder when I drained out the pasta I cooked up because the handles provided great stability and were cool to the touch when I carried it to the sink. The pans heat up well and heat up evenly, I even left some sautéed spinach in the pan while I was distracted for a minute by the phone no burning, no sticking, just yummy spinach (which I sautéed with just a smidgen of olive oil, no need for lots of oil and junk).I can think of a million uses for these pretty new pans.So far, they have performed great. And did I mention that clean up is super easy. It's time to love cooking again!
UPDATE: January 2012.I still love these pans. And I really appreciate the tall sides because nothing has spilled over while cooking like I've had with other pans.I still find clean up super easy.I recently got distracted while making a pasta sauce and it burned; I was afraid that clean up would be tough, but cleaning was a snap. These pans are still highly recommended.

()The color is a beautiful shade of bronze, which seeing it in person almost reminds me of rose gold, the pictures on Amazon don't do this color justice. It would go so well in many kitchens as it is neutral enough but has such visual interest. I can see it being beautifully paired with an industrial styled kitchen with lots of copper or silver accents. These are also all heavier pieces than I have ever cooked with before, which makes me feel like the quality is a lot higher. It takes some re-adjusting for energy used in techniques like my wrist flip with the saute pans but it is worth it.
The nonstick works better and cleans easier than any nonstick cookware I have ever used. They heat very fast and retain it well. As well, This product, although nonstick, will allow for searing, especially in the grill pan. I used the grill pan to sear a tuna steak and it left beautiful char marks. It did cook it faster than it would on my other cookware so I know now to readjust my timings.
I also used the stockpot to make some clams in a chorizo broth and it cooked it so well and very quickly again. And the small skillet is my go to piece since I like to just use that for all my mini-cooking projects like gyoza, eggs, or bacon.
I have noticed such a difference after cooking with this cookware. I believe that it comes from the fact that the heating is much more evenly distributed leading to uniform cooking when in the past with my other cookware, a lot of my cooking would be uneven.
I was very impressed with the actual nonstick surfaces but when I did unpack all the pieces, I noticed that one of the lids rims was dented. I'm not sure if it came that way or was dented when I was working with it but I obviously wasn't throwing these pieces around so I'm not sure if they are just easily dented or just came that way. This isn't a major problem as I'd prefer the quality be more in the cooking surfaces than in the lid anyway.
