This is a beautiful pan.I own and enjoy many pieces of the cast iron from Le Creuset.However, I prefer stainless steel.I was very happy when they came out with a stainless steel line by Le Creuset.This pan is a nice size for a family of four.I only gave it 4 stars because it would have been nice to have a lid.Otherwise it is a great pan.
It is a nice size but besides not having a lid, it stained, cooked bacon and it stained, cooked chicken and it is worse. Unfortunately I also bought the set, and after just steaming green beans the pot and steamer are stained. Tried to clean them with scrubby sponge then brillo. Was told to try Bartenders buddy for stainless steel but I don't want chemicals in the pan. It may not effect cooking but for new expensive pans they look awful
