Norpro Nonstick Mini Donut Pan

Norpro 6-Count Nonstick Donut PanI LOVE this pan! I have also bought 'cheaper' versions and found them to be far inferior. The cheaper pans have a seam ridge on the top around each donut cavity that catches batter and snags cleaning cloths. They are much thinner and lighter than this pan and therefore do not heat as evenly. Also the donut cavities in the cheaper versions are not as deep and the hole maker is much smaller, resulting in a donut that is not 'pleasing to the eye' and looks more like a cookie with a small hole in the middle. This pan cooks evenly every time and the donuts come out looking 'professional' and deliciously tempting! I highly recommend this pan!

We like this pan but if you buy it MAKE SURE you season it before making your first batch. We didn't with ours and the we had to throw out the first batch of donuts because they tasted like metal.Just put it in a 400 degree oven for about 10 min. b4 making your first batch.

This is really great for making cake donuts.

I was surprised to see a review saying they had problems with their donuts sticking to the pan. I haven't run into that at all. One of the things I love about this pan is how you don't need any oil. You do need to let them cool about 5-10 mins before removing. Maybe that's why your donuts are sticking?

I would buy two if I were buying again though, because who only makes 12 mini donuts at a time?

This is the best kitchen purchase I have ever made! I regularly make vegan donuts, and have always struggled with achieving the conventional donut form. With this pan, you simply spoon your batter in the molds and 10 minutes later, you have perfect donuts! I recommend spraying a bit of cooking spray into the molds to ease pulling the donuts out with this method you're guaranteed to get perfect donuts with nothing sticking in th pan! I will be purchasing another one so I can make a dozen at a time!

I like the pan, it is well made and serves the purpose. The holes are very small and getting batter to go in and not get all over the middle is hard. The pan itself is great though and really good at the non-stick, and very heavy duty. If I buy anymore, I will make sure I get the bigger size though. Small one is hard to maneuver batters into without making a terrible mess.

Paderno World Cuisine 12-5/8-Inch Carbon Steel Ceramic Coated Frying Pan

Paderno World Cuisine 12-5/8-Inch Carbon Steel Ceramic Coated Frying PanThis is a generally very solidly built piece of cookware. It has a heavy feel but can be moved easily. The minute I received it I knew this was going to be my go to pan. I do not compare this to my All-Clad stainless steel fry pan. These are different beasts, in two separate categories. If you want non stick I have only 2 brands I would choose and thats the Paderno which is carbon steel with a ceramic non-toxic coat, and the Berghoff Virgo cookware which is also ceramic with either stainless steel core or aluminum core. I personally have an aversion to cookware with aluminum because if the surface breaks down you now have a certified toxic metal leaching into your food. The exception would be the All-clad D5 cookware where I doubt the surface would breakdown enough for the aluminum core to be exposed. But again that's a different beast. I was looking for something non-stick right out of the box. This fit the bill. That being said I have never owned a non stick pan that ultimately did not break down over time.(scanpan, diamond coat pans all of them) So I am going to assume this will break down as well over time but if it does it should still be relatively safe. This is my first ceramic coated cookware of any kind so I am hopeful it will stand the test of time. Which is why I give it only 4 stars. Have not had it long enough to see how it wears and will give a follow up edit of this review when an appropriate amount of time has passed. I'll also do a separate review of the Berghoff Virgo cookware which I just received. So far so good. Hope it stays that way.Definitely like the aesthetics. I don't think this will work with Induction cooking but the Berghoff will. Keep that in mind. Give this Paderno pan serious consideration if you want non-toxic and non-stick cookware. Very pleased so far. This rating could and should jump one star if the hype about ceramic coating is accurate.

Edited update: unfortunately it did not take much time for both the outside paint enamel and the inside non stick coat to start breaking down. Multiple scratches on both inside and out . Very little cooking done and then only on low medium flames. Just another flawed attempt at what is supposed to be non stick ceramic. Do not recommend this product.

Le Creuset 3-Ply Stainless-Steel 9-1/2-Inch Nonstick Fry Pan

Le Creuset 3-Ply Stainless-Steel 9-1/2-Inch Nonstick Fry PanI'm not all that crazy about nonstick pans as I've heard there can be some ill health effects from the chemicals used in the nonstick surfaces. However, they are extremely convenient, and I also read that the chemicals are being phased out. This pan is advertised by Le Creuset as having a "forged hard-anodized non stick surface" and the surface seems much "tougher" than the old Teflon skillet we had before... less susceptible to scratches and seems much more durable. The pan itself is quite heavy, substantial and distributes heat well. The non stick surface works well, releasing food with no issues without any need for oil or sprays.

Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase and can recommend this pan.

I replaced a worn-out 10" non-stick with this one by Le Creuset.Having other cooking utensils by Le Creuset made this an easy choice.I've not used it several times and find it of excellent quality and just as the product description describes it.

Highly recommended.

This pan has a very good shape, size, and weight for everyday use.The nonstick surface, however, has a tendency to wear off easily.By that I mean the Teflon coating disappeared with less than 20 uses.Company has been good to replace the pans free of charge under their warranty.

T-fal C811SA64 Elegance Stainless Steel Dishwasher Safe 10-Piece Cookware Set, Silver

T-fal C811SA64 Elegance Stainless Steel Dishwasher Safe 10-Piece Cookware Set, SilverI hesitated before I purchased this set because some of the reviews were not favorable. Some of the reviews were a total 5, so I wondered how there could be such a huge gap between the purchaser's reviews.A little homework answered the question.

This is a beautiful set, and if handled ACCORDING TO THE DIRECTIONS, should stay in beautiful shape. One of the reviewers stated that her cookware turned blue after being put into the dishwasher. The directions distinctly state that this is a normal condition for stainless steel and can be remedied by wiping lemon juice or vinegar over the pot/pan.It works; just as stated.

Another reviewer stated that her pan warped. This happens when the heat is too high.Instructions fully state that one should not use this cookware on HIGH.It does not take much heat to allow the food to cook. There is an aluminum disk inserted in the bottom to conduct the heat.Aluminum DOES warp and melt under extremely high conditions.

One reviewer stated that the steel could be bent with her fingers. Perhaps she had a defective piece, as there is NO WAY I could do such a thing.I hand quilt everyday and am a professional seamstress.I have a lot of strength in my fingers; but still, it is an impossibility to bend this steel.Granted, the cookware is not a professional HEAVY weight, but it is a cookware that is bit weighty, but easy to handle, and light enough to produce quick heat.

Last night I fried salmon patties, and the pan cleaned up nicely.I used a little BonAmi, which is similar to Bartender's Secret, which is recommended by the manufacturer.I have cooked chili, boiled pasta, steamed veggies...all to success and my cookware looks new.

Although I cook everyday, I did not want to continue with my non-stick cookware.I thought it would be a good idea to purchase a reasonably priced stainless set to get used to cooking with stainless; eventually moving up to a more pricey set if necessary. At this point, I do not think I will need to move up to a more pricey set, but will purchase additional pieces of the T-fal Elegance, including the chicken fryer and the 3 qt.pot/lid.I did already purchase the 12.5 saute pan and it is very useful.

I love this set and think the price does not speak for it's excellence. It is a LOT of value for the money.

I like this set.It is very good quality for the price.I bought it because it is induction usable--it does not say that in the ad, but I had seen this in a store and bought a single pan to test.

The lids are very nice fitting, with a hole in them.I wish the lids fit the pans too, but they do not.

This is not super thick steel for many reasons.Reasons include heavy weight, a pan that will not cool down (especially critical for induction), handles stay cool if thinner, and cost.I do not find any of the items flimsy at all.It is somewhat thin feeling but very amply sturdy. It does not bend on me at all--even trying.I did not try a hammer on it, but do not find a reason to.

I think this is a good deal for what you get.

I wanted to get away from aluminum and coated cookware and decided to give this a try. My concern was that it would burn and stick and be difficult to clean as was inexpensive stainless cookware I have tried in the past. I saw it at my local WalMart and was impressed with it's quality and weight. Also their price was $36 higher! I have been surprised at how little sticking happens and have had no burning to the bottom or hard to clean experiences. The heat transfer is so efficient I can cook at lower temperatures. I can see how this set will last me the rest of my life.

Want T-fal C811SA64 Elegance Stainless Steel Dishwasher Safe 10-Piece Cookware Set, Silver Discount?

Lets get a few things out of the way.

1. I'm not a "professional cook" But I cook somewhat complex meals daily.

2. I had no experience with stainless so I actually took the time to do some research, silly, I know.

3. I'm the the cheapest person on the planet, however I don't scrimp or save when it comes to important things, like cookware. I'm cheep not destitute.

I've been researching stainless steel cookware because, like most of you, I want to get away from the non-stick flakes in my food.I research almost everything I buy almost too much. But this cookware set was a little bit different. I saw these here on Amazon but to be honest the price was a deterrent in terms of it being to low for my brain to associate it with good quality. I read the write-up and kept a mental image in my mind, but quickly dismissed it.

After months of research I was leaning towards, of course, a $600+ set made by All-Clad, they are the best in the industry, after all. I had almost bitten the ordering bullet a few different times but that little voice in the back of my head kept screaming "hey, idiot you're gonna drop $600 dollars on a type of cookware you've never used? Why don't you just buy a cheep pan to see if you even like cooking with stainless" Once again that annoying little voice saved me some cash.

My girlfriend and I were at 'Goodwill' last week on my monthly hunt for pre-50's stuff, I have a problem, I can admit it, and we saw these two really beat-up, and I mean beat-up, stainless steel frying pans from this very set. The 10.5 inch and the smaller one for $2.99 and 1.99, respectively. It looked like someone had tried cooking in them and whatever it was it didn't work out to well for them. They were so bad I quickly dismissed them as I thought they were non-salvageable. But, again, that little voice popped up to remind me that during my research on stainless steel cookware I had seen someone posted a before and after picture of really bad stainless steel pans and how well 'Bar Keepers Friend' cleaned them up. So I figured for $5 bucks, what the hay.

As soon as I got them home I went at them with steel wool and 'Bar Keepers Friend'. Sure enough after about 20 minutes they were shinning like new.

After making sure they were really, really clean I decided to try these bad boys out.

The first thing I made was sautéed mushrooms and onions in the small pan and steaks in the bigger pan. From my research I remembered to season the pans with olive oil and preheat them for a few minutes on no higher the medium heat. After doing all this I put all of the food in. I was really worried about the steak sticking because, well flesh sticks but after remembering the other major advice I picked up about cooking with stainless steel "I LEFT THE FOOD ALONE!" When it came time to flip the steak absolutely no sticking at all, on either one. There was a little caramelization in both pans but it came right of.My first cooking experience with stainless steel was a success...and the food tasted AMAZING!

The next morning I tried the stainless steel litmus test eggs. Following the above steps my egg white omelet turned out great. Over the next few days I threw all the most stick inducing foods I could think of not one issue, with the food!

I did have a few issues with staining on the pans but my new best friend 'Bar Keepers Friend" bailed me out each and every time. After a week I decided to skip on the two-car-payment-sized All-Clad and just buy a complete set of these.

Now to address some of the negatives I've read here on Amazon.

Someone said they "could bend it with the pressure of just one finger." Um. no you can't and believe me I'm a big dude who spends way to much time in the gym, girlfriends words, not mine!

Someone said "they stain easily." yes, that's why you CLEAN THEM!

Someone said the "the lids don't fit the skillets." True, hence why they're called "skillets"

Someone said "the included metal spatulas scratches the cookware really bad."Not from my experience. The included spatula & spoon are not of the best quality but they're certainly up for the tasks at hand, even without scratching but even so I use wood utensils, always have, always will.

Someone said "the handle gets so HOT that I've burn my hand several times." These handles stay cold to the touch, save for once incident where I let the handle hang over the edge of the stove while I had the oven door open, for probably 2 minutes as I was distracted by bright shiny colors on the T.V., then, and only then did a handle get hot.

Last, but not least, my favorite complaint, which seems to be a theme shared by all the negative reviews -"food sticks." Food will only stick to these pans if you do any one of or combination of the following; not preheating, not using oil, using too high of a temperature or just not paying attention.

The important thing to remember is you really have to change the way you cook. It takes me on average 30% longer to prepare meals with this new cookware but the trade off is the food tastes so much better and you don't have to worry about consuming the Teflon, they say is safe for you, today!

About the actual pans.

Heres the odd thing. The pans I got at 'Goodwill,' the same ones in the pictures on here, are a little different then the complete set I bought, somewhere else. I think the ones from the set are an updated version of the ones they're selling here. The pans are a few ounces heavier, the handles are more rounded and the bottom has a different design. They kinda look like the bottoms of the T-fal C798SC64 Ultimate Stainless Steel Copper-Bottom Multi-Layer Base 12-Piece Cookware Set but without the copper. I actually like the old design better, Anyways I thought you guys should be aware. I can post a picture if anyone wants me to.

The reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because there are some flaws.

The handles, on everything could be finished a little better. They seem a bit "rougher" then they should. This is especially true for the handles on the pots and there respective lids. Now, I don't feel like they'll cut me, but every time I pick one up(pots and lids)the thought does enter my mind... Just be aware.

Also the lids do not fit snugly on the pans. It's not really an issue, cooking wise, just a little annoyance.

Finally the rivets, and this is just a personal gripe. These come with a 25 year warranty. I promise you the rivets will fail before that. Rivets only last so long under constant load changes and from my experience when they begin to fail it's best just to get rid of the pan, or if you know how, drill them out and either put new ones in or do as, in my opinion, every manufacture should do, replace them with nuts and bolts, or screws. It may be a pain to have to tighten a screw on a handle, but at least with screws you can tighten them.

Other then the rivets there is no doubt in my mind that these will last 25 years or more, if you take care of them. They're nowhere near as fancy or as well built as the the high end cookware but really do they have to be? In my opinion They are built well enough to more then justify the price and they're an above par entry level set that you probably won't ever feel a need to replace.

Final thoughts

These are oven safe up to 500 degrees according to the direction, I didn't see that anywhere else so I thought I'd share it.

Now, If you want to make the switch to stainless remember three important rules.

1. Preheat WITH oil... Always use oil--olive oil, Canola oil, don't use vegetable oil, people!--even with hamburger or sausage, I've never cooked sausage in these pans, but I can assume.

2. Never go above medium heat except when boiling water or reducing liquids.

3. LEAVE THE FOOD ALONE. You'll know when it's time to flip because the piece of food will almost glide with just a small nudge.

Kinetic Classicor Series 4.4-Quart Tapered Chicken Fryer Pan with High Dome Window Lid

Kinetic Classicor Series 4.4-Quart Tapered Chicken Fryer Pan with High Dome Window LidI bought this pan specifically to use as my designated popcorn pan because of its depth and domed cover. For popcorn, a vented lid allows steam to escape and prevents the popcorn from becoming soggy.I am usinga T-Fal 11" vented lid. So far this has been an excellent pan for popcorn. It holds 3/4 cup of popcorn and when popped fills the pan completely, when using the aforementioned lid. It has a large flat bottom, and an aluminum base to distribute heat evenly.

I have not used the domed cover / lid but like the fact that it has a glass insert allowing sight in to the pan while cooking.I have not used this pan to cook a chicken so I am not able to attest to its use in that regard. I would be concerned about cooking anything in the pan that is heavy as the stainless steel seems a bit thin and the handle is attached with spot welds instead of rivets. There seems to be a significant amount of flexing between the handle and the side of the pan where it is attached.I noticed this when washing it. Only time will tell if the spot welds will hold. But for popcorn, I expect it to serve me well for a long time.

All Clad Stainless Steel 4-Quart Brown and Braise Pan

All Clad Stainless Steel 4-Quart Brown and Braise PanFYI, I looked at this pan carefully in a store and it is exactly the same pan as the All-Clad Stainless 4 Quart Saute Pan (which sells for quite a bit more) but with a different lid. This model comes with a domed braising lid, as opposed to the flat lid that comes with the regular 4 Quart Saucepan.Unless you really want the flat lid, this is a much better value.

This is a great size and shape for a Saute Pan.It's about 11" in diameter and on the inside the sides are about 3" high.I think this is a great height to help keep things in the pan but still allowing good access.Perfect for cooking pasta sauces and then marrying the pasta with the sauce before serving. Also good for sauteing chicken or pan-roasting 2 or 3 steaks.

This pan offers exceptional heat retention and very even heating. Several tasks have produced equal caramelization throughout the entire pan. Weight and balance are perfect (it is a rather heavy pan), and it is, with Barkeeper's Friend, a breeze to clean; it returns right to its brand new, shining image. The lid is nicely shaped and will incorporate any number of tall meats. The piece appears as a work of art, as most All-Clad pans do. The domed lid aesthetic is really something. It is a 4-quart deep saute, but the pan's cooking surface matches the All-Clad 3-quart cooking floor--the difference here is that the sides are much higher than the 3-quart deep saute (I appreciate the higher sides of this 4-quart much more) and, of course, the lid is designed to accommodate taller items. I highly recommend it. It is a real mult-tasker.

I haven't found much I can't do with this pan excellent for "one pot" meals like sweet and sour chicken, or pepper steak. With a little Barkeeper's Friend, it cleans up beautifully. At first, it was a little weird never having the stove top set above "Medium", but this pan works very well. Feels like it will last a good long time. Definitely in the category of "a little more expensive, but worth it in the long run."

Came home from work to learn that we had a funeral visitation to attend in 2 hours.I pulled out my new pan for its maiden voyage.Browned 3 pounds of frozen hamburger. The domed lid gave me the confidence that the giant chunk of frozen hamburger would fit without sticking to the lid. Then I pushed the cooked hamburger to one side and sauteed onions and peppers in one half of the pan. Mixed all together, still in pan. Poured in giant jar of spaghetti sauce and simmered a little. Mixed in some cooked pasta (I did boil that in another pan while cooking the hamburger).Virtually a one dish meal.Because its All-Clad I didn't fear burning the food in my rush and clean up was so easy.

I can't believe how much we use this pan!It wasn't a replacement for a size we already had but it it just so versatile. The taller sides make it great for things like adding a huge bunch of spinach to wilt down. The stainless makes cleanup a breeze (get the Barkeeper's Friend cleaner if you have anything that look like it's not coming off, it will.)The weight and quality are perfect. We're now planning to very slowly replace most of our cookware with All Clad.

These knobs are not made by Revere but are nearly identical to those originally provided.Finish is smooth and shiny, with no mold lines. For our lids, the threaded brass insert was recessed too far to fully mate with the short stud on the lid.A few minutes in my husband's lathe to trim 0.080 from the outer bakelite portion of the knob allowed it to screw on perfectly and still give enough of the knob to remove the lid without burning my fingers. This modification could be done with sandpaper or a file, but the lathe was quicker.I would have given this product 5 stars had the knob not required this adjustment.

Emeril by All-Clad E8840264 Chef's Stainless Steel Dishwasher Safe 8-Inch Fry Pan / Saute Pan Cookware, SilverI love this pan for cooking any thing, stew, frying a chicken even making soup. And it cleans ups so well your can not believe it.if you burn anything to it just add some hot water and soap place back on stove and reheat it up, let sit for about 15 minutes and whip out all the burned on stuff, it works. It you really did a job you may have to clean a bit with baking soda too.Best pan I have ever had. and I cook alot!

This is a great pan all the way around. It has even heat distribution, good weight, elegant look and easy to clean. The even heat and quick heat up is energy saving and insures even cooking and seasoning during the process of food preperation. The only negative is it does not come with a lid and this hurts its overall use and you cannot buy a lid for it. I have cooked eggs, steaks, pork chops and bacon all with perfect results.

Toastess DLFP458 Stainless-Steel 12-Inch Electric Skillet

Toastess DLFP458 Stainless-Steel 12-Inch Electric SkilletAfter ardently searching for a replacement electric skillet (used to have Farberware),I had tried the Cucino Pro.I had found that the thermostat was not precise.Having sent that one back, I tried Precise Heat.Their skillet was beautiful but was not dishwasher safe (as I was used to) even though the ads had stated that it was.I returned that product.

FINALLY, we stumbled on this Delfino/Toastess Electric skillet. It is the same size and shape as my old Farberware AND comes with the glass lid.The thermostat is precise and I am loving it.

We had so much trouble locating a replacement for my tried and true Farberware, and this oneeven has the glass lid (something that I had wanted) that I plan to order a second skillet.

I purchased this electric skillet for my son. I have a Farberware skillet that I have used several times a week for over 15 years. I was looking for a Farberware skillet to purchase for him as well. Farberware no longer makes an electric skillet like my old one. The quality of this skillet is as good if not better than my Farberware skillet. I am very pleased to have found this skillet and plan on purchasing one for myself. Great weight, quality and accuracy on the temperature. A big thumbs up!!!

I can honestly say this is a first for me. I have ordered dozens of products if not hundreds over the years from Amazon. I ordered this product due to the excellent reviews here on Amazon. When it arrived, I cooked with it...a little disappointed at how the food stuck but I have been using a non-stick pan and figured I would get used to the stainless steel. It heated up evenly and cooked well. However whilst I was cleaning it afterwards I noticed a rough area on the black plastic housing of the slot that the thermostat plugs into. Upon closer inspection, it is obvious that it had cracked and someone had attempted to glue it back together. This was sold as new and I am amazed that the company would attempt something so low. It can't have been a customer who returned it because it looked brand new in the packaging and had not been used. Anyway, Amazon were professional as usual and immediately offered me a refund or replacement. On this occasion I chose a refund because I do not have a level of confidence with this company after trying this on. Just goes to show you need to thoroughly inspect everything you purchase as soon as possible.

Black & Decker G48TD Grill and Waffle Maker

Black & Decker G48TD Grill and Waffle MakerI love this waffle maker! It's like the ones our mom used, not those cheesy seeming plastic things they're making now. It's also got a lot of excellent features that make my life easier.

I'll mention right now that this is a VERY hot waffle maker. They make the plastic ones to be "cool touch".I'll trade the cool touch feature for the sturdier design of this versatile machine. I'm being careful and haven't burned myself yet. But it's something to consider if you'd like your children making waffles. My ten year old could be careful enough, but I keep my five and eight year olds away.

The waffles this machine makes are great! They freeze well too.The family is very happy. When the light goes of the unit is ready to make waffles. Pour in the batter and the light comes on again--wait for it to go off and the waffle is done (however, I usually go on instinct and sometimes pull out the waffle before the light goes off.)

The open grill feature makes wonderful pancakes and fried eggs.I have a big family and it's nice to have two pancakes cook at a shot without taking up all my stovetop!I can have bacon and eggs on the stove and the pancakes on the waffle maker.(I can also have a heart attack if I keep eating all these bacon and eggs!)

The sandwich feature is nice.I can cook two grilled cheese sandwiches at one time getting me out of the kitchen quicker. Some advice--cheese might drip out the side of the sandwich.Just keep the sandwich away from the back of the unit where the cables run in and the mess just wipes off--no problem. The sandwiches cook far more uniformly than they do in a pan on the stove. They taste great.

This unit cleans up easily and changing the grills from waffle to flat is easy.I recommend it over a lot of more costly models if you want more value for your money. This is the most versatile waffle maker I've found and all the features actually work!

I got this one after unsuccessfully trying the Cuisinart waffle maker. It is wonderful!None of the batters, not even gluten-free ones would stick. All waffles came out great, crisp outside and moist inside. The grill feature was a plus and makes great grill cheese or other types or grilled sandwishes in a jiffy.

Back in the 60's I loved the Sundays my Dad made waffles on a toastmaster Waffle/grill. He would add cinnamon, fruit, all kinds of things. Never stuck always light and fluffy. When I went to college my odyssey began. I have gone through 4! different brands and here is why you want this machine Ok Betty Crocker and others may have a beeper but the waffle that comes out could have come out of a toaster, B&D lets you choose on a dark to light waffle 'zone' with a light that goes out when it reaches that temp. Even with a thick from the box batter out came the most fluffy waffle with a Belgium like crust. Take a close look at this baby it's CROME and yes it will get hot, (kids don't touch) but unlike others it CLEANS UP. Overflows are no problem. Just as good a George Forman. And grilled sandwiches were wonderful but I use old world bakery bread with brie and dry salami, again adjust for light and dark. Favorite recipe? Coco for a chocolate waffle and chocolate chip ice cream to make a sandwich. This is an 'open and closed' case and really is space saver 3 in 1 product for our family.

This is a great waffle maker!!Every time we make waffles, they flip right out just like they're supposed to.We haven't had any of them get stuck or had any of the disasters/frustrations that we've had with other waffle irons. It's actually easy to make a waffle again. Can you imagine!?I think the reason why is that the Teflon is good and it gets hot, evenly.

After you get it, my recommendation would be to FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS that comes with it.Just before preheating, brush on some vegetable oil like it says to do.(I guess you can use spray but we've found the oil at first works best.)After that, you won't need anything at all for the other batches. Also, be sure not to mess up the Teflon coating by washing it while it's still hot (let it cool off completely) or by using utensils that will scratch it up, like metal forks and scrubbers. If you take care of this sensitive Teflon, it will take care of you.I think it says not to put it in the dishwasher so you probably don't want to.Both plates, top and bottom, are completely removable and they're really easy to clean with a basic sponge...don't use the scrubby side of the sponge though...you won't need to anyway.

We've made waffles several times already and they've been perfect every time.It DOES get really hot but that's a good thing. We've also flipped it over to the grill side and that's great too. We've made quesadillas, grilled cheese sandwiches, and burgers. For burgers, it has a trench like thing around the border of the grill that the fat collects in.You'll need a little cup or something to catch it where it supposed to drip out.

If you really want it to "drain the fat away" fast like a Forman type grill, just put something under the back left leg to tilt it a bit.Don't put something under the leg that could catch fire though....again, say it with me, "It gets really hot!"We've been placing it on our stove top when we use it...if you have sensitive counter tops, do that too.

If you make a sandwich, keep the grill open and flip the sandwich as needed.Otherwise, your sandwich will get really flat.I think that's it -It really is one of our better purchases lately and so we take good care of it.Oh, and adding a nice amount of vanilla extract to your waffle batter makes them delicious!!(wife said to throw that in) Happy Waffle'n!

This is our second purchase of this same model over many years and have found it to be of good quality, reliable, and attractive square waffle maker. The removable cooking plates make clean up a snap and allows unit to be used for pancakes and sandwich cooking also. The temp control knob can be set to produce desired doneness everytime. I highly recommend this model.

I love this grill. At first I was a little hesitant about using it because I feared it wouldn't live up to the other opinions. However one day I decided to make pancakes for my family, heated it up, and started dropping pancakes, and flipping them, before I knew it there were piles of pancakes, stacked pretty high.It cooked fast, evenly, and cleanly.I love it!

Just to add, the item itself works great, however, I accidently tapped the oil catcher on the counter, and it cracked.I dropped it later, and the handled end broke. It' kind of brittle. But the heatingplatform is great.

Nouvelle Copper 2-Piece Non-Stick Skillet Set

Nouvelle Copper 2-Piece Non-Stick Skillet SetI got these as a set from Macy's for $50 on sale. I prefer stainless steel and am normally not a huge fan of aliminum cookware (especially nonstick), but I was very surprised with the Nouvelle Copper. It's hard-anodized aluminum on the outside, but has 3 layers (plys) just like high-end stainless cookware...it has a layer of aluminum (which is the outside of the pan), an insert of copper, and a ply of stainless steel on the bottom (which contacts the burner).

Food cooks very well even on an electric range. There are few, if any, hotspots, they heat uniformly, and hold in the heat well like stainless (stoneware and cast-iron). The construction will help prevent warping (common to aluminum cookware. All of the aliminum I've ever owned has warped and I take good care of my pots/pans). These can also be used on an induction range, something you can't do with other aliminum cookware.

The nonstick coating is really good. Food slides off easily and clean-up is simple, even with eggs that are baked-on. As far as durability is concerned, I would have no problem saying the coating would last for years if taken care of (hand wash only, no steel utensils).

I can't find anything wrong with them other than the fact I got 2 of these for only $50, which is ridiculous because they should cost a lot more, maybe $120.

Purchased these on Amazon and got quick delivery. They are truly worth the price. Perform very well, with easy clean up. I use very little oil to fry and these pans cook evenly and perfectly each and every time. You could spend three and four times the price on other makes, but these are just wonderful.
