King Kooker CIFP14 14-Inch Cast Iron Skillet

King Kooker CIFP14 14-Inch Cast Iron SkilletThis item is not as pictured, nor is it as described. Although the difference between the picture and the actual skillet I received is immaterial--as mine has a helper handle on the outer end from the pan handle. But the skillet is not 14 inches. It is not even 13. In fact, the box it is boxed in is only 13 inches. The pan is not quite 12 3/4 inches.

I find it amazing that there are no review like this to be read about the pan. But the pan I received was evidently returned by someone else because of this same issue because the box was ripped open significantly when I lifted it out of the mailing box from Amazon. So it was not reboxed to be sent to me to even cover this up.

I just wonder if the seller is somehow able to keep negative posts from showing. I will be calling Amazon if mine does not show.

Instructions to "season" cast iron would have been helpful. Those should be enclosed with cast iron purchases to insure successful use.

T-fal D9133364 Signature Hard Anodized Nonstick 10-Inch Skillet with Glass Lid Cookware, Gray

T-fal D9133364 Signature Hard Anodized Nonstick 10-Inch Skillet with Glass Lid Cookware, GrayI received this as a Christmas gift, purchased off of my wishlist. I'd never seen the pan in Real Life, but picked it out for the price, the brand, and the size. I can now say........I love this pan! I confess that I make a lot of skillet meals (you know, those boxed "helper" kind) and this pan is perfect. The sides are nice and tall, which solves the problem of boil over or, in my case, slop over from stirring. It's a nice weight for me; heavy enough to feel good and solid, but not so heavy that I can't lift it off the burner when filled. It's super easy to clean, too. All in all, this is an exceptional product, especially for the price.

Compared with many other 10" skillets, this holds more stuff since it's deeper (6") than most.Since the lid has a nice high arch you can easily cook a big chicken in it along with a mess of veggies.

The non-stick surface is very non-stick!Trivial to clean.(I was careful to follow the instructions exactly and seasoned the skillet before I used it the first time)

The pan is heavy but the second handle makes it easy to manipulate.

The one thing I can't comment on is durability. It appears to be solid and well made but it'll take years of use before I can tell if the non-stick surface holds up.If it doesn't, I'll update the review.

Looks good, too!

I bought this T-Fal Signature Hard Anodized 10 inch covered skillet for a Christmas gift. It was the best skillet we have ever had. It cooks so evenly and heats so evenly on the glass top stove. Also has a vent in the cover which allows steam to escape. I highly recommend it.

I bought this very deep frying pan to replace my worn out 10" one. That pan was part of a set and it gave me many good years. This time I wanted something deeper so I could make sauces and stews without having to use dutch ovens.I just cooked an Italian meat sauce with it and it came out perfect. The glass lid has a tiny vent to allow steam out and that really helps.Last night I cooked flanken with vegetables and again the result was just great.I assume it would also make great fried chicken but I have too much tummy to cook that. This pan is a great value and I am fairly sure you will love it.

This is one pan I want to like. The non-stick surface is truly non-stick. The size is very convenient for many uses (deep, flat bottom, easily cleaned, etc.).

Durability, however, is in doubt. I have taken great care not use it on my gas cooktop at any heat setting higher than medium. Despite this caution, the portion of the handle nearest the pan itself is already disintegrating from the heat. I've only used the pan three times, and this is very disturbing.

I am hoping that offsetting the pan from the flame (so that the handle is farther away from the heat) will slow the meltdown. Too bad!

Chicago Metallic Lasagna Trio Pan, 12-Inch by 15-Inch by 3-Inch (11-1/2-Inch by 2-1/2-Inch Cavities)

Chicago Metallic Lasagna Trio Pan, 12-Inch by 15-Inch by 3-InchFirst the PROS:I was really looking forward to getting this pan.I love making lasagna, and hubby likes his loaded with lots of meat, while I go meatless.I have always wanted to be able to cook just two rows of lasagna, one for him, one for me.But traditional pans basically forced me to make 3 rows at a time because each row leans on the one next to it and that is what keeps it all in shape and not sliding all over the place. So I always had to cook more than I wanted to at a time.Yes, I know that leftovers are not a bad thing...................But the problem for me was that to make a lasagna that big to begin with you have to make around 18 noodles at a time.It takes forever to boil that much water and you have to have a very big pot to hold that much water and noodles and keep them at a rolling boil for the whole 9 minutes.I actually have a huge pot that I store in my garage that I ONLY use for boiling lasagna noodles.Well, guess what?I was able to use my regular pot to boil the water and noodles since I was only boiling 12 noodles to make the two rows of lasagna. That was a real timesaver. To me, the assembly is the most time consuming part of making lasagna. This was much faster. And because the noodles fit the pan lengthwise to begin with, I didn't have to cut noodles down to size to fit.I have actually done that before when using 2 loaf pans to make us "individual" lasagna portions.

Now the CONS:It is actually wider than the width of average aluminum foil, so covering it while baking meant that I wasn't able to mold the foil around the sides of the pan to keep any sauce from boiling over.Might be better to think ahead and place this on a cookie sheet so it doesn't leave a mess on the bottom of the oven if you go really high on the layering.I did 6 noodles high and that was as high as I think you could ever take it without having spillover.MY BIGGER COMPLAINT is that they should have included a fitted lid to fit on top of the pan, not to be used during baking, but for storing leftovers in the fridge for a day or two, especially since foil really doesn't fit this pan properly.I had to transfer the cooked pieces to a tupperware for storage, so now an extra item to have to wash, not counting whatever I have to use to reheat the lasagna up in.That really bugs me.

Second small issue. The description on Amazon does say it is dishwasher safe. But the manufacturer neglected to print that anywhere on the actual package, so I wasn't sure when I got it.I went ahead and washed it in the dishwasher. It came out fine. And best of all, the nonstick surface really did clean up the first time.I have certainly had to scrub lasagna pans before, especially glass ones, the dishwasher never get the baked-on food cleaned off completely the first time. But this one really came out clean, even areas where sauce and cheese had burned on.However, the pan is so big that it took up the entire rack and I was only able to put my silverware basket and one bowl next to it while I ran the dishwasher.I'll probably hand wash it next time.It is pretty big being that it has space between the 3 channels, plus a rim around the entire pan.I had to drop the dishwasher rack tines down to make it fit, and again, it really took up almost the entire rack.

Smaller issue:Nothing too serious, but I thought worth mentioning.First, the average lasagna noodle does fit very well lengthwise, but the channels they created actually are more narrow at the bottom than they are at the top.So the first two noodles I stacked had the curly edges kind of fold upwards. No big deal, just thought it was odd that they made it that way instead of just simply the same exact width from the top to the bottom of each channel. Not sure the reason behind designing it that way.Maybe it helps it to keep its shape when you cut into it.The included spatula is great, by the way.Fits perfectly and the design really digs the lasagna out without the piece falling apart on you.So kudos on the design of the spatula.

I can see using this pan for other baked goods down the road. Also worth mentioning, this pan is not boxed so you can't store it in its original box between uses, if you like to do that.

UPDATE:Do not leave this pan to soak to remove baked on food.I did and it got a very fine dusty area of rust.I scrubbed it thinking it was sauce, but after I dried it, the spot came back and thats when I realized it was actually rust, not dried on sauce. That was somewhat scary to me.Don't want to be eating rust.It does clean up easily when scrubbed, so stick to that or the dishwasher, but again, I wouldn't soak this pan.

A bit pricey, but a great pan.It makes a LARGE quantity of lasagna, perfectly cooked. Each section is the width of a lasagna noodle which makes assembling the dish a breeze. The pan itself is heavy with a nice quality Teflon coating.Perfect for making some lasagna and freezing some of it.

Our recipe stated that it would take 90 minutes to bake, but it only took 60 minutes. The shortened cooking time is probably because of the compartmented pan structure, so be aware when using the pan to monitor cooking time until you get used to it.

Perfect for making multiple variations for picky family members or house guests!Highly Recommend!!

Update: 1 DEC 2009.Just had another EXCELLENT lasagna made in this pan.We really love it.Makes enough to feed us and freeze the rest.

We have just rec'd our pan recently but ... are certainly ready to say this is a truly useful and high quality piece of cookware. If your family likes (or needs) menu variety you should buy this cleverly designed pan.The weight of the pan is substantial (not flimsy), the overall size is generous, and it has a tall collar at the top preventing spills. In addition the non-stick coating seems sturdy and, most importantly, works very well.Cleans up beautifully. The SS spatula included is exactly the right size and shape. We have made conventional lasagna in one section at the same time as two different high protein, low-carb versions.Everything was deliciously done, but when planning such variety you DO need to thoughtfully consider your cooking requirements for all three different recipes -and select a *single* cook time/temp that will work.We had no problem with this key step, but just needed to think it out carefully the first time.We are now daydreaming about OTHER 3-part oven meals as well as other favorite foods we might prepare in 3 interesting versions, as an alternative to the "lasagna trio" idea.We expect to make GREAT use of this very clever and high quality pan in the years ahead.

I am enjoying this specialty pan...I made three different lasagnas and my guests were amazed...they all wanted to buy this pan!!Noodles fit perfectly!!Then I made a Chocolate tres leches Cake...and I have made Grandma's Mexican Cornbread...and I made "Choc-Peanut-Butter-Hazelnut-Choc-Nutella Cookie Bars"...AND I have only had my pan for a couple of weeks!! It is delightful to have the spatula the exact width of the pan~~ so that I was able to cut the treats into the right portions to package each of them into a 4" x 2 1/2" x 9 1/2" crystal clear gusseted cello bags and tie it closed with a ribbon...then placed them all on a tray...and take them with me to my meeting of quilting friends~~they were delighted!!So, my pan is going to be used OFTEN.

And my daughter is going to receive one for Christmas!!Enjoy...TJ

Found this pan on Amazon and was intrigued but a bit concerned with the price then realized it must have been on back order as the est ship date was not until the first part of January. Well found this by accident at a local high end (expense) cookware shop. It is indeed a high quality Chicago Metallic pan, nice weight, by no means cheaply made.

I have been using it to make baked goods in it. If using a box mix that is light you can use all three rows and you end up with wonderful size loafs that are perfect for a gift tray or party as they are the perfect finger food / sampler size without you having to make in a larger loaf pan and then cutting into smaller pieces (looks sloppy and not as attractive when you butcher it up. If you are making a heavier mix (carrot cake) then I bake in the outer two channels and they bake up wonderful.

Looking forward to making breakfast casseroles in this so that I can customize for the different tastes will be nice to be able to cut into small taste servings

T-fal E918SC64 Ultimate Hard Anodized Nonstick Expert Interior Thermo-Spot Heat Indicator Anti-Warp

T-fal E918SC64 Ultimate Hard Anodized Nonstick Expert Interior Thermo-Spot Heat Indicator Anti-Warp Base Dishwasher Safe 12-Piece Cookware Set, GrayI was looking at the specific details of my cookset on here (I purchased mine at Kohl's for $30 MORE than amazon, silly me) but I noticed only one review and that it had but a single star.

This must be remedied.

First off, know that I cook A LOT. I love to cook, my family has a history in the food industry, and I currently work at a very highly rated restaurant. I know food, and I know cookware. I go for top quality or I throw cookware out of the kitchen.

I've always had the issue of never finding true quality in non-stick cookware. Many wanted to go aluminum to heat more quickly, but this left pans warping and sliding about on the kitchen top. Though my biggest problem was finding durable non-stick surfaces.

Secondly, this is the MOST durable non-stick surface I have ever seen (I have tested over a dozen different companies including many competitors including but not limited to Calphalon). I test these by taking my trusty titanium spork with me everywhere I go. If it can't scratch it (95% of the time it scratches straight to the underlying metal), then nothing I do in the kitchen will.

Also, this set heats amazingly well. I never get overburning, though I will warn you that the center (red dot) does heat slightly faster (but not hotter) than the surrounding areas, so be aware to avoid it when pan-searing meats and such.

Lastly, I know that it is marketed as dishwasher safe (I'm more than certain it is), but I highly recommend not doing so. This goes for ALL non-stick cookware. It is a coated material and I don't understand why you would anyway...the MOST effort I've ever had to do was to run water over it with dawn and a brush for less than 30 seconds, then dry with a single paper towel...It's done. Why would you risk shortening the life of your cookware.

In conclusion, This is a great product that I would recommend to anyone. It's durable, well-weighted, and (in my house) has put out some of the most beautifully cooked culinary dishes ever eaten by a privileged wife =)

I love these pans!!They are very sturdy and have a lifetime warranty.I love that if someone uses metal utensils in them they will not scratch :)They are super easy to clean too!I bought a Wok to match!

When, I first received these pans I was truly excited to finally find a set that I could use with metal utensils.I even emailed T-FAL directly just to make sure of this fact before I ordered them.We hand wash all our pans even though these are dishwasher safe.I have had no issues with the frying pans they are still in excellent shape and live up to the T-FAL name, but the other pans in the set are a different story. The non-stick coating on the inside has deteriorated, and it appears as though the pans are rusting. We have stopped using them.

In addition in order to use the "Limited Lifetime Warranty" I must send them back at my own expense to one of the company's authorized repair shops.Even then it is questionable as to whether or not they will be repaired, replaced, or even sent back to me free of charge.I am debating what to do.Perhaps, I will send them back after the holidays, but I will definitely call the repair shop prior to sending them.

DEEPLY DISAPPOINTED!!!!

Since i do most of the cooking I really like the T-Fal. Wife not so much because i won't let her put them in the dishwasher. Suppose to be dishwasher safe but I have seen other brands say that and it didn't turn out so good. We did wash one in the dishwasher and it spotted up bad, so no more. Small price to pay for keeping this cookware in good shape. Don't know what her gripe is as it cleans up very easy.

I have had this cookware for about a year and absolutely love it. It is the best cookware set I have ever used. We normally wash them by hand but I love that they can go in the dishwasher, unlike my MUCH more expensive Calphalon set. I would definitely recommend this cookware!

I think that this pan is terrific and the price makes it even better. Some complaints about this product was that the sides feel flimsy. The sides are unquestionably thinner as they are purely stainless steel whereas the bottom is a stainless steel, aluminum, stainless steel sandwich. That being said the sides are still thick enough to not be concerned about.I work with metal routinely and you would have to do some pretty bad stuff to this pan to worry about it warping. All around it is quite handsome and has been fantastic to cook with.My one complaint is that I wish I could have bought this pan in a slightly smaller size but at the same great price and with a lid.For one person this pan is comically large but for a couple or a family this would be perfect.

Range Kleen Stainless Steel Non-Stick Open Fry Pan with Quantanium Coating

Range Kleen Stainless Steel Non-Stick Open Fry Pan with Quantanium Coating, 10-InchThis is a good value for a large non-stick pan.The interior coating is excellent, and the exterior is bright-finished stainless. It has plenty of depth and works well in my kitchen.

The only caveat is that it is very lightly-built.The handle is securely riveted to the pan, but the material is thin, which leaves it feeling fragile and floppy. The pan works great, but is absolutely not "commercial chef" level construction.Suitable for amateurs like me..

This item is very lightweight and I expected them to be much heavier for the price. Also, the handles are hollow and for $40, I do not believe they should have been hollow.

CucinaPro 1448 12 Inch Griddle & Crepe Maker

CucinaPro 1448 12 Inch Griddle & Crepe MakerI wanted to make dessert crepes and purchased this because of the price. This baby works like a charm!Takes about 5 minutes to heat up and man it gets hot!For best results, put it on level 2 or 3 and pour the batter right in the center. That way you got time to spread the batter around the surface before it firms up.Try to control the thickness of the crepe because you don't want it spongy. You want it as thin as possible.

Other points to note:

1.The only way to clean it is to use a cloth and wipe the surface clean.

2.The included spreader is very good. Maybe a bit too big for it, but it works great.

3.You don't need to buy a wooden spatula or anything like that.A regular plastic spatula works great. The crepes don't stick to the surface even without spray or butter.

4.The edge of the surface is elevated. This is not like traditional, larger crepe makers which are totally flat allowing for the crepe to be handled by a straight spatula. This isn't a downside though because it can keep the batter from dripping down the side.

Overall this is an amazing crepe maker for the money. You won't be disappointed.

There is not much more than I can say. This is a fantastic crepe maker.I have used the villaware flip over and the pans and never enjoyed making crepes like I do with this maker. It takes a little practice using the spreader but when you get it, you will make perfect crepes every time.I used to love going to the pier in San Francisco and getting crepes, now in Florida I really missed that. The only thing I can mention about this is to thin your batter a little bit. This will help the spreading of the crepe. It also makes some of the best pancakes around as you can really control the temperature well.

I have been looking for a crepe maker for a long time now and finally found this one online. The price is what drew me to purchase the CucinaPro 1448 12 Inch Griddle and Crepe Maker. When I received this I was a little worried to open the box because it was shipped only with its original manufacturer's box and not placed in a shipping box. The box was a little beat up. However, the crepe maker was unharmed. It had styrofoam packing materials so the crepe maker was not damaged.

I was skeptical at first if it would function like the crepe makers I see in crepe restaurants, but after my first try I was really impressed. It heats up fast and it has an indicator that tells you it is ready. It does not stick and produces a well-shaped crepe approximately 12-inches in diameter. It came with an instruction booklet and basic crepe recipe. It also has a wooden crepe spreader, so you would not have to buy one. Buying separate spreader can cost you at least $15.00 so that is money you can save and use for ingredients! Furthermore, it is easy to clean and lightweight. I use it to make crepes for my family. I make breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert crepes with this one. A lot better than doing it in a pan. It's a great conversation piece whenever I am entertaining friends and family. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a crepe maker that works and easy on the wallet!

Had it for 4 weeks now, and love it. The only thing I wonder about is the thermostat; anything over 2.5 is too hot,and you wont have time to spread the batter out before it gets to hard. But that's OK, just set it at 2 or a little above, and everything is fine.

The recipe in the manual is not really for a real "French" crepe though, this is the basic recipe you should use:

10-12 crepes

50g (scant half stick) butter, melted

4 eggs, regular size

2 teaspoons of sugar

a pinch of salt

250g (9 oz) of flour

and 1/2 liter (2 cups) of milk

Mix dry ingredients then add eggs milk and butter and let rest for at least 1/2 hour before using.

I use it mostly for breakfast crepes, and I recommend trying it. Immediately after you flip the crepe over, quickly, and I mean quick, add cheese, some diced ham, some chopped tomato (remove seeds first), and an over easy egg. Then fold the 4 "sides" over so it becomes a square package. Remove and serve.

Use whatever stuff you have, like seafood, sausage, mushrooms, herbs...

Make a batch and practice using the wooden spreader before trying to impress on your friends and family. It takes some time getting the hang of it. And remember: THIN crepes! We are not making flap jacks here...

I passed a crepe snack shop up at San Francisco a couple of weeks ago and stopped and bought a fruit crepe, and it was incredible and I found myself wishing to be able to have these tasty treats when I could whenever I wanted. This crepe maker was a great find and for the price very affordable on the wallet, it's neither to heavy or bulky for a persons kitchen and it's very easy to use so don't worry about to many complicating directions an the like. The machine just has the on/off button and a temperature lever in front to decide the varying degree you want to make your crepe at as well as a wood spreader to spread the crepe mix evenly over the cooking plate, that's probably the only mess you'll have with this machine as I expect that with first time crepe makers like myself will have to learn how much of the batter to put on and to spread it fast and evenly on the cook plate but no worries live an learn with the experience and soon you to will be an expert crepe maker too.You can of course make pancakes as well on this if you want there's no reason not to and it works fine doing that as well but if you're like me and bought this for a more easy way to make crepes than just use the standard frying pan for pancakes and leaves this for the crepes, also for first time makers like myself who have no recipes on how to make real crepes the manual with the machine will give you two recipes to make crepes but if you want more this site has some great crepe recipe books for affordable prices or you could just go to your regular book store and buy one as well.So for people who have had the craving for crepes or have tried them at crepe snack shops and like myself now want to make crepes themselves here's a great item for your home to try out....

Cuisinart GR-55 Griddler Stainless Steel Nonstick Grill/Griddle Combo

Cuisinart GR-55 Griddler Stainless Steel Nonstick Grill/Griddle ComboGriddle cakes and sausage, grilled salmon and vegetables, grilling burgers and toasting buns, the Cuisinart GR55 is a versatile compact counter top grill and griddle. The two double sided cooking plates are Teflon coated steel; they're easy to install and remove, and because the plates are non-stick and removable, they're a fast clean. I enjoy the fact can use both grill and griddle at the same time. This is great for cooking for my family, too, because it has plenty of grill surface. The plates always heat up evenly and quickly, and the temperature control gives me a ridiculous amount of control over my food's preparation. The excess grease, when using the grill side of things, runs off into a collection troth that neatly hides and stores inside the grill between the two plates. When releasing the spring-loaded plates from the grill, the rest grease gets collected in the troth as well. It's great to pull out on a lazy Saturday morning or for a quick meal before going out. I'm thoroughly impressed.

I first bought a Cuisinart GR-4 Gridder .But the instructions were absoulutly horrible(and I am a lawyer and know the art of understanding the written word). Also thte thing was bulky and awkward with the hinged top. So I sent it back and bought the GR-55 Gridder combo. Glad I did and wonder why I did not own one of these much sooner. Instructions are very easy to understand, everythingis intuitive in the operation, and it is very compact given the size of the cooking area. Grill plates are reversable so you can grillor griddle or any combination of the two. Heat is excellent and although I use it on top of our glass top stove, with the vent on low-I do not think I really need the vent. It is as close to smokless as I could hope for. Clean up is effortless . I have done skinless chicken, tenderloin steaks grilled cheese sandwiches, vegtables , shrimp and scallops and everything has turned out perfect.

I would highly recommend this model Cuisinart indoor grill and in fact am thinking of getting one for my son.

Only thing I would caution about is that heat up takes a few minuets longer than I am used to on my outdoor grill and be sure to give it plenty of time to cool down before you try to remove the grill plates for cleaning.

I thought I would love this, given the fact that there are two halves that can be kept at different heat settings, but once I was able to get a good look at it, I realized that the design went off the rails somewhere. Each pan is spring loaded from underneath, causing two major problems. The pans are tilted, so if you cracked an egg on them, it would run right down and out the grease drains.Secondly, each pan has to be clipped in (because of the spring loaded design) and the clips are made out of PLASTIC!Plastic clips will not survive in contact with metal hot enough to cook food.I am extremely disappointed with this, especially that I have to pay shipping to return the thing.

We've had the grill/griddle for about 3 weeks and it performs very well.Pancakes come out perfect as the griddle heats very evenly and quickly. We have not yet used the grill side but will soon.

The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the drain holes really prohibit you from making scrambled eggs on it and if you want regular eggs you will need to move the egg to the far left or right or it will make it's way to and down the drain holes.

I'm sure because this is a grill and a griddle that they had to have the drain holes for grease when cooking burgers, etc. so I can understand the need.Just be aware that if you're looking at this for mostly griddle type function then I would go with a larger full blown griddle. If you plan on needing both this is a grate machine.

We bought this to replace a 10-year old Hamilton-Beach that died on us. It cooks evenly and well. We grilled sliced summer squash, and each piece browned the same, no matter whether it was: in the center or at the far edge. Steak seared nicely, and cooked well. It's not as hot as a gas or charcoal grill, but then the Cancer Society is warning people about cooking meat at too high a temperature. The best part is that the heating element is separate from the grill plates, and the plates fit nicely in the lower rack of our dish washer; that and the included scraping tool make clean-up a snap.

Nordic Ware Commercial Induction Fry Pan with Premium Non-Stick Coating, 8-Inch

Nordic Ware Commercial Induction Fry Pan with Premium Non-Stick Coating, 8-InchI'm not too happy with this pan. It's not made very well. The bottom is not very flat and spins like a top on my glass top stove.

Also the non-stick isn't as good as a similar pan I purchase at the local discount store.

Their description of a Premium Non-Stick pan is not in my opinion even close to correct.

This skillet is exactly as described.I used it several times and it worked perfectly on my Nuwave Induction Cooktop.I would buy again and recommend to all.

If you are buying these pans to use with an induction heating system then these are not the pans to purchase. They are cheap aluminum pans and will not work with induction heating elements.

Definitely works with an induction burner. That's why I bought it. The coating seems as good as my old deluxe aluminum skillet which won't work with my new induction burner.

Simply Calphalon 12-Inch Nonstick Covered Omelette Pan

Simply Calphalon 12-Inch Nonstick Covered Omelette PanI bought another pan, made in Germany, that I returned because the handle would not stay attached to the pan. Too bad because I liked the fact that it had a porcelain coating. However, this one is better built by a whole order of magnitude. It's a delight to use and even to look at. You will not be disappointed by the fine construction of this pan: handles on the pan and top are never going to come loose. The finish and workmanship is beyond compare. The nice long length and angle of the handle make wielding it very easy for my little wife (I'm very polite around her when she's holding it). As far as the nonstick finish goes, we (like everyone I know) have had trouble with the stuff coming loose or scratching. Therefore, since buying this one--and because the nonstick finish REALLY works and nothing sticks to it--we only wash it out using our hands on it. Nothing even as abrasive as a rag. As far as what we use when cooking, we only use a very blunt-edged soft plastic spatula. We've only had this a few months but the nonstick finish still looks like new.

Having had several pans over the last ten years, I can say that we both like this one the best.

America's Test Kitchen really does a great job reviewing products. I bought this because of the review and am very pleased. Great price and comes with the glass lid. Cooks eggs, potatoes, fish and steaks very well. A+

It's just what I needed big enough to fit larger meat pieces, non sticky, right weight and cover fits good (believe me, it was a problem with other pans I got before).

Highly recommended.

Swiss Diamond 10.25 inch Cast-Aluminum Nonstick Breakfast Pan

Swiss Diamond 10.25 inch Cast-Aluminum Nonstick Breakfast PanThis pan is the best I have ever owned. We have an induction top, and this suits it perfectly. I have since purchased two others in different sizes ( one for my daughter who has a noninduction range), and she has similar results to mine. You feel like a gourmet chef because the pan does all the work. No matter what one cooks the finished product always meets highest expectations. I would recommend this brand to everyone.

Nostalgia Electrics HDR-565 Old-Fashioned Hot-Dog Roller

Nostalgia Electrics HDR-565 Old-Fashioned Hot-Dog RollerHot dog cooker works as the manual says it does; the only other review on this item says it is malfunctioning junk and not worth the money. I couldn't disagree more. This is my third cooker in four years (I use them a bunch!) and I still love it like the day I first got it.

Takes about twenty minuets to heat up eight hot-dogs, but they are perfect when they finish! If you use "bun length" dogs or decide like me to buy bratwursts and sausages, you will only be able to fit four at a time on the rollers. I usually cook hot-dogs and bratwursts together, so I can fit four hot dogs and four of the larger items.

It's rough to clean the rollers without submerging the roller mechanism in water, however I never had a problem with the cooker because it was "too dirty to function".

The only other downside is that the gears in the roller mechanism is made of what my father calls "cheap pot metal", which tends to grow over time with enough humidity and water. From living in Florida and having washed my grill several times, the gears can eventually locked up on one of my three models.

Other than that, it is a fantastic machine.

(Also, the place to "heat" the buns is the only thing "bunk" about this product. Nice place to store them though!)

takes a while to cook, but the hotdogs does come out tasting great! only bad thing to say about the product is that the greese and fat from the hotdog itself will drip down in between the cracks of the rollers and in my case will lock up the gear inside.

plug it in, get power, turn it on high, rollers start rolling. put dogs on rollers, (oh, be sure to use the short dogs, otherwise you will only fit 4, not 8)....And then,...WHERES THE HEAT.... 15 minutes?BUNK.Had them on for over an hour, and NOTHING.....Went through themanual, everything was done correctly.WASTE OF MONEY.Thought this would be cute for camping. It's going back!!

Lynns Saturn 10 Inch Open Frypan

Lynns Saturn 10 Inch Open FrypanHave used this pan for a short time and so far have been happy with it. It is good quality and lays flat on my ceramic cooktop. Hopefully I won't overheat the pan and warp it. Cleanup is a little harder than a coated pan which is just the nature of stainless steel. Overall I am very happy with this purchase.

MIU France Stainless Steel Universal Fry Pan Cover

MIU France Stainless Steel Universal Fry Pan CoverThis multisize lid works as described. The holes allow steam to be released to keep food from getting soggy while still redirecting heat back onto it.It helps minimize splatter while decreasing cooking time.Simple and effective.

For some 12" skillets it will be just shy of a good fit.I have a Lodge 12" cast iron skillet which is a bit large for this lid as well as a Calphalon non-stick skillet.Luckily for me I have lids for both so it's a minor concern. For all other pans in my pantry this lid works fine.

We leave our frying pan on the stove but of late the cat has developed an obsession with licking it...which is a little gross. Also, the boyfriend likes to cook but apparently can't actually see grease splatters from all his bacon and eggs that coats the stovetop because he never cleans it up.

So this was a solution for both...and it mostly works!Boyfriend likes it as it makes the pan "cook more evenly" he claims, cat licks the top of this instead (still gross, but less so).

It fits the frying pan we have well (11 1/2 in).No warping after several weeks of cooking...nice solid feel.

Only two complaints:

1) The top of the lid gets really greasy (on the outside).I don't know if this is because the cooking grease oozes out the pores?Solved by dishwasher however.

2) There is no indication that I can see to tell whether or not the black plastic knob is oven safe.I'm going to guess not, but some plastic is and gee it would be nice to know!Plastic keeps it cool enough to touch however.

On the whole quite acceptable.

This is a very good cover to keep on hand. It's not bulky when storingand can easily fit inside the dishwasher. The small vents that are interspersed throughout help keep the moisture frombuilding up. It would get 5 stars if it were 12" across. Being smaller, the lid rests on the inside edge of my 12" skillet vs. resting on the top edge.Still okay, but an extra 1/2 inch would be better. It's perfect for my smaller skillets.

This lid works really well for those pots or pans that didn't come with a lid.We use it mostly for steaming things in the frying pans and its versatile size works great. It is a good weight of stainless steel as well.

This cover is just the thing. We have several large skillets that have no matching lids.Other "almost fit" lids resulted in condensation dripping onto the glass stove top. This one fit well and no drips.Good solution to a small by pesky problem.

KitchenAid Aluminum Nonstick 12-Piece Cookware Set

KitchenAid Aluminum Nonstick 12-Piece Cookware Set, RedI have a big family, with big-eating teen boys, and I use my pots and pans daily. I honestly had wanted to purchase the Cephalon set, but just couldn't afford it. I saw this set loved the red color and purchased it as a "second choice" boy am I glad I did! The biggest frypan is used at least twice a day without fail! They all still look nearly as good as the day I bought them about two years ago the nonstick coating is still perfect and works beautifully. We handwash them there's never room in the d/w for pans anyway and literally I never even put the fry pan away, just turn it upside down on the stovetop. They cook so evenly, never scorch, and even when I overcooked the rice one night it just browned inside and literally wiped out with a paper towel.

I received this pots and pans as a birthday present to go in to my newly remodeled kitchen.I love the red color!I have arthritis so I really liked the weight of the pots and pans and the handles were easy to hold. They are light without feeling flimsy. They cook like a dream with no sticking.

I was really excited to receive this new cookware when I ordered it online. the colors are really nice, red is my fave color andfrying is not that hard anymore. when I fried some egg rolls and fish, it is evenly cook and so i am guessing that the heat is evenly distrubuted in the entire frying pan. i think the price is in the right range. i hope this would last 5-10 years, its predecessor lasted for almost 10years :)

()I have this set of KitchenAid Aluminum Nonstick Cookware and a set of KitchenAid Gourmet Hard Anodized Nonstick Cookware and the latter is definitely worth the extra money. When I created this review the KitchenAid Aluminum Nonstick Cookware was selling for $150 and the set of KitchenAid Gourmet Hard Anodized Nonstick Cookware was selling for $178, so my criticisms are based on the savings of only $28.I would not pay more than $125 for the KitchenAid Aluminum Nonstick Cookware Set.

This set KitchenAid Aluminum Nonstick Cookware is MUCH thinner and lighter weight, the heat distribution and retention is less impressive than the Gourmet Anodized set. These pans are so light I would only recommend them over the Gourmet Anodized set if you have mobility issues and are purposely seeking to fill a need for lightweight cookware.

All the pot sizes are smaller and less useful and the handles are not as good as the Gourmet Anodized. You do not get an 8 quart pot for cooking pasta, the squat 6 quart pot that comes in this set is smaller than I like to cook spaghetti, but will make a good soup pot.You do not get a fry pan you can cook more than 3 eggs in, so you will probably need to purchase an additional fry pan of larger size.If you have a lot of big pots already, this set may be a good filler set to have smaller pans to choose from.

The red color of this set is a very dark brick color, darker than the photo even, so if someone is wanting a true red this is not a good choice esthetically.I think the KitchenAid Gourmet Hard Anodized Nonstick Cookware set is better designed and more attractive with its Windsor shaped sides; the narrower bases look nice and allow better fit on smaller stovetops without compromising on size. The KitchenAid Gourmet Hard Anodized Nonstick Cookware does not come in colors, but if I have to choose between matching decor and function, I would choose function.

All that said, this KitchenAid Aluminum Nonstick Cookware set is much better than the starter sets you see in Bed Bath & Beyond for $75-$100.So if someone you know has one of those cheaper-made cookware sets on their wish list, spend the extra money on this set and really delight them. If you are looking for pans to last a couple decades, spring for the KitchenAid Gourmet Hard Anodized Nonstick Cookware, I bought the additional two-burner griddle and it is GREAT too.

I bought these pots in July 2011. They started flaking paint after a couple of months and it just got worse. See pictures above. I have now had them about 6 months and Kitchenaid will not replace without a receipt. Worst customer service ever. Amazon has lots of other good choices, keep looking and know you have the security of buying from Amazon.

WMF Glass Lid for CeraDur Skillets

WMF Glass Lid for 11-Inch CeraDur SkilletsWell insulated handle remains cool. The moisture condenses in the dome and does not leak on the sides. It is German made.

Culinary Institute of America Masters Collection 12" Sauté Pan with Helper Handle

Culinary Institute of America Masters Collection 12' Sauté Pan with Helper HandleActually, I'd wanted a 12 inch All Clad Saute pan, but they don't make a 12 inch saute with a helper handle on the opposite end. This (CIA Masters Collection) pan DOES have one, and is every bit as well made (if not better, since it has an aluminum AND copper core). And like All Clad -it's hefty -so when you add food it helps to have the helper handle. It performs flawlessly.I'm glad I found one that meets all my requirements.

Like other reviews have pointed out, this is a large, heavy, solid pan.

That said, it's definitely worth it. It heats very evenly (make sure to pre-heat for a few minutes and use some real oil/butter, not the aerosol stuff), cleans up well (polish with Bon Ami if desired never use steel wool) and feels like it's been forged of one continuous piece of metal (unlike other pans where cheap rivets make the handle attachment wobbly).

This has become my go-to pan for most stove-top tasks. Admittedly it's a tad big for some small jobs (a single fried egg looks comically tiny), but that's no reason not to buy.

This purchase has made me want to get more pieces from the CIA Masters Collection I like the brand better than All-Clad for both performance and price. FYI, this also comes in a 10" version and both sizes are available with a nonstick coating.

Tip: If you want to move this pan one-handed when it's laden with food, you can grab close to where handle is attached and brace it against your forearm (the handle's curve and size makes it feel like it was designed for this). While not as easy as using both hands and the helper handle, it's a good way to muscle things about.

Pan is heavy, and needs the auxiliary handle. It heats well and evenly on low heats. We bought this for specific use on a glass top range. I am not a large person, and found that I can pick up the skillet with my left hand, the trick being to use the heighth and length of the handle against my forearm for support.I can transport it to the table that way, serving with my free hand.I believe it was great value for the money.

I bought this hoping to make this my go-to pan for most dishes. It distributes the heat pretty well, cooking my chicken cutlets nicely even up on the edge.Sears pretty well not losing much heat from a cold piece of meat.My problem is that I have a glass top stove, and after about 4-5 uses it developed a warp where the center of the bottom bumped out just enough so that the pan now spins like a top when set on my glass cooking surface.Urrgh!I didn't think I abused it by dousing it in cold water too quickly, but I don't know...must have.I thought the 7 layers helped match the thermal expansion so this wouldn't happen, but no.Don't buy this unless you are ridiculously careful with the cold water wash or don't have a flat cooking surface.

This is one of those times I should have checked out the product in person prior to purchasing. It's a great saute pan, and cooks very evenly. However, it is so heavy it is difficult to lift, even with the "helper handle". Still love it though.
